   הוֹיhoywoeחֹשְׁבֵי־אָוֶןchosh/VE-A/vento those who devise iniquityוּפֹעֲלֵיu/FO/a/leand workרָעraevilעַל־מִשְׁכְּבוֹתָםal-mish/ke/vo/TAMupon their bedsבְּאוֹרbe/ORin the light ofהַבֹּקֶרhab/BO/kerthe morningיַעֲשׂוּהָya/a/SU/hathey practice itכִּיkiforיֶשׁ־לְאֵלyesh-le/ELit is in the power ofיָדָם׃ya/DAMtheir hand

   Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work evil upon their beds! when the morning is light, they practise it, because it is in the power of their hand.

   וְחָמְדוּve/cha/me/DUand they covetשָׂדוֹתsa/DOTfieldsוְגָזָלוּve/ga/ZA/luand take them by violenceוּבָתִּיםu/vat/TIMand housesוְנָשָׂאוּve/na/SA/uand take them awayוְעָשְׁקוּve/ASH/kuand they oppressגֶּבֶרGE/vera manוּבֵיתוֹu/ve/TOand his houseוְאִישׁve/ISHand a manוְנַחֲלָתוֹ׃ve/na/cha/la/TOand his inheritance

   And they covet fields, and take them by violence; and houses, and take them away: so they oppress a man and his house, even a man and his heritage.

   לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeכֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDהִנְנִיhin/NIbehold Iחֹשֵׁבcho/SHEVam devisingעַל־הַמִּשְׁפָּחָהal-ham/mish/pa/CHAagainst the familyהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisרָעָהra/Aevilאֲשֶׁרa/SHERfrom whichלֹא־תָמִישׁוּlo-ta/MI/shuyou shall not removeמִשָּׁםmish/SHAMfrom thereצַוְּארֹתֵיכֶםtsav/ve/ro/te/KHEMyour necksוְלֹאve/LOneitherתֵלְכוּtel/KHUshall you goרוֹמָהro/MAhaughtilyכִּיkiforעֵתeta timeרָעָהra/Aevilהִיא׃hiit is

   Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, against this family do I devise an evil, from which ye shall not remove your necks; neither shall ye go haughtily: for this time is evil.

   בַּיּוֹםbay/YOMin the dayהַהוּאha/HUthatיִשָּׂאyis/SAshall one take upעֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMagainst youמָשָׁלma/SHALa parableוְנָהָהve/na/HAand lamentנְהִיne/HIa lamentationנִהְיָהnih/YAit is doneאָמַרa/MARand sayשָׁדוֹדsha/DODspoilנְשַׁדֻּנוּne/shad/DU/nuwe are spoiledחֵלֶקCHE/lekthe portion ofעַמִּיam/MImy peopleיָמִירya/MIRHe has changedאֵיךְekhhowיָמִישׁya/MISHhas He removed itלִיlifrom meלְשׁוֹבֵבle/sho/VEVto the rebelliousשָׂדֵינוּsa/DE/nuour fieldsיְחַלֵּק׃ye/chal/LEKHe divides

   In that day shall one take up a parable against you, and lament with a doleful lamentation, and say, We be utterly spoiled: he hath changed the portion of my people: how hath he removed it from me! turning away he hath divided our fields.

   לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeלֹא־יִהְיֶהlo-yih/YEthere shall not beלְךָle/KHAfor youמַשְׁלִיךְmash/LIKHone castingחֶבֶלCHE/vela cordבְּגוֹרָלbe/go/RALby lotבִּקְהַלbik/HALin the assembly ofיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

   Therefore thou shalt have none that shall cast a cord by lot in the congregation of the LORD.

   אַל־תַּטִּפוּal-tat/TI/fudo not prophesyיַטִּיפוּןyat/ti/FUNthey prophesyלֹא־יַטִּפוּlo-yat/TI/futhey shall not prophesyלָאֵלֶּהla/EL/leto theseלֹאlonotיִסַּגyis/SAGshall departכְּלִמּוֹת׃ke/lim/MOTreproaches

   Prophesy ye not, say they to them that prophesy: they shall not prophesy to them, that they shall not take shame.

   הֶאָמוּרhe/a/MURO you that are namedבֵּית־יַעֲקֹבbet-Ya/a/KOVthe house of Jacobהֲקָצַרha/ka/TSARis shortenedרוּחַRU/achthe spirit ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאִם־אֵלֶּהim-EL/leare theseמַעֲלָלָיוma/a/la/LAYVHis doingsהֲלוֹאha/LOdo notדְבָרַיde/va/RAYmy wordsיֵיטִיבוּye/TI/vudo goodעִםimtoהַיָּשָׁרhay/ya/SHARthe uprightהֹלֵךְ׃ho/LEKHwalking

   O thou that art named the house of Jacob, is the spirit of the LORD straitened? are these his doings? do not my words do good to him that walketh uprightly?

8. 8

   וְאֶתְמוּלve/et/MULeven of lateעַמִּיam/MImy peopleלְאוֹיֵבle/o/YEVas an enemyיְקוֹמֵםye/ko/MEMhas risen upמִמּוּלmim/MULoff fromשַׂלְמָהsal/MAa garmentאֶדֶרE/derthe robeתַּפְשִׁטוּןtaf/shi/TUNyou strip offמֵעֹבְרִיםme/ov/RIMfrom those who pass byבֶּטַחBE/tachsecurelyשׁוּבֵיshu/VEthose returning fromמִלְחָמָה׃mil/cha/MAwar

   Even of late my people is risen up as an enemy: ye pull off the robe with the garment from them that pass by securely as men averse from war.

9. 9

   נְשֵׁיne/SHEthe women ofעַמִּיam/MImy peopleתְּגָרְשׁוּןte/ga/re/SHUNyou have cast outמִבֵּיתmib/BETfrom the houses ofתַּעֲנֻגֶיהָta/a/nu/GE/haher delightsמֵעַלme/ALfromעֹלָלֶיהָo/la/LE/haher childrenתִּקְחוּtik/CHUyou have taken awayהֲדָרִיha/da/RImy gloryלְעוֹלָם׃le/o/LAMforever

   The women of my people have ye cast out from their pleasant houses; from their children have ye taken away my glory for ever.

    קוּמוּKU/muariseוּלְכוּu/le/KHUand departכִּיkiforלֹא־זֹאתlo-zotthis is notהַמְּנוּחָהham/me/nu/CHAthe restבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURbecauseטָמְאָהta/me/Ait is pollutedתְּחַבֵּלte/chab/BELit shall destroyוְחֶבֶלve/CHE/velwith destructionנִמְרָץ׃nim/RATSsore

    Arise ye, and depart; for this is not your rest: because it is polluted, it shall destroy you, even with a sore destruction.

11. 11

    לוּ־אִישׁlu-ishif a manהֹלֵךְho/LEKHwalkingרוּחַRU/achin windוָשֶׁקֶרva/SHE/kerand falsehoodכִּזֵּבkiz/ZEVliesאַטִּףat/TIFI will prophesyלְךָle/KHAto youלַיַּיִןlay/YA/yinof wineוְלַשֵּׁכָרve/lash/she/KHARand of strong drinkוְהָיָהve/ha/YAhe shall even beמַטִּיףmat/TIFthe prophet ofהָעָםha/AMthe peopleהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

    If a man walking in the spirit and falsehood do lie, saying, I will prophesy unto thee of wine and of strong drink; he shall even be the prophet of this people.

    אָסֹףa/SOFassembleאֶאֱסֹףe/e/SOFI will assembleיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVJacobכֻּלָּךְkul/LAKHall of youקַבֵּץkab/BETSgatherאֲקַבֵּץa/kab/BETSI will gatherשְׁאֵרִיתshe/e/RITthe remnant ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelיַחַדYA/chadtogetherאֲשִׂימֶנּוּa/si/MEN/nuI will put themכְּצֹאןke/TSONas the sheep ofבׇּצְרָהbots/RAthe foldכְּעֵדֶרke/E/deras a flockבְּתוֹךְbe/TOKHin the midst ofהַדׇּבְרוֹhad/dov/ROtheir pastureתְּהִימֶנָהte/hi/ME/nathey shall make great noiseמֵאָדָם׃me/a/DAMby reason of men

    I will surely assemble, O Jacob, all of thee; I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together as the sheep of Bozrah, as the flock in the midst of their fold: they shall make great noise by reason of the multitude of men.

13. 13

    עָלָהa/LAhas come upהַפֹּרֵץhap/po/RETSthe breakerלִפְנֵיהֶםlif/ne/HEMbefore themפָּרְצוּpa/re/TSUthey have broken upוַיַּעֲבֹרוּvay/ya/a/VO/ruand passed throughשַׁעַרSHA/arthe gateוַיֵּצְאוּvay/yets/Uand gone outבוֹvoby itוַיַּעֲבֹרvay/ya/a/VORand shall passמַלְכָּםmal/KAMtheir kingלִפְנֵיהֶםlif/ne/HEMbefore themוַיהֹוָהve-Adonaiand the LORDבְּרֹאשָׁם׃be/ro/SHAMat their head

    The breaker is come up before them: they have broken up, and have passed through the gate, and are gone out by it: and their king shall pass before them, and the LORD on the head of them.
