Leviticus 9 וַיִּקְרָא פרק ט׳

1. 1

   And it came to pass on the eighth day, that Moses called Aaron and his sons, and the elders of Israel;

   And he said unto Aaron, Take thee a young calf for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering, without blemish, and offer them before the LORD.

   וְאֶל־בְּנֵיve/EL-be/NEand to the children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelתְּדַבֵּרte/dab/BERyou shall speakלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingקְחוּke/CHUtakeשְׂעִיר־עִזִּיםse/IR-iz/ZIMa male goatלְחַטָּאתle/chat/TATfor a sin offeringוְעֵגֶלve/E/geland a calfוָכֶבֶשׂva/KHE/vesand a lambבְּנֵי־שָׁנָהbe/NE-sha/NAa year oldתְּמִימִםte/mi/MIMwithout blemishלְעֹלָה׃le/o/LAfor a burnt offering

   And unto the children of Israel thou shalt speak, saying, Take ye a kid of the goats for a sin offering; and a calf and a lamb, both of the first year, without blemish, for a burnt offering;

   וְשׁוֹרve/SHORand an oxוָאַיִלva/A/yiland a ramלִשְׁלָמִיםlish/la/MIMfor peace offeringsלִזְבֹּחַliz/BO/achto sacrificeלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוּמִנְחָהu/min/CHAand a grain offeringבְּלוּלָהbe/lu/LAmixedבַשָּׁמֶןvash/SHA/menwith oilכִּיkiforהַיּוֹםhay/YOMtodayיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDנִרְאָהnir/Awill appearאֲלֵיכֶם׃a/le/KHEMto you

   Also a bullock and a ram for peace offerings, to sacrifice before the LORD; and a meat offering mingled with oil: for to day the LORD will appear unto you.

   וַיִּקְחוּvay/yik/CHUand they tookאֵת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERthat whichצִוָּהtsiv/VAcommandedמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesאֶל־פְּנֵיel-pe/NEbeforeאֹהֶלO/helthe tent ofמוֹעֵדmo/EDmeetingוַיִּקְרְבוּvay/yik/re/VUand they drew nearכׇּל־הָעֵדָהkol-ha/e/DAall the congregationוַיַּעַמְדוּvay/ya/am/DUand stoodלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

   And they brought that which Moses commanded before the tabernacle of the congregation: and all the congregation drew near and stood before the LORD.

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesזֶהzethisהַדָּבָרhad/da/VARthe thingאֲשֶׁר־צִוָּהa/SHER-tsiv/VAwhich has commandedיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDתַּעֲשׂוּta/a/SUyou shall doוְיֵרָאve/ye/RAand will appearאֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMto youכְּבוֹדke/VODthe glory ofיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

   And Moses said, This is the thing which the LORD commanded that ye should do: and the glory of the LORD shall appear unto you.

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesאֶל־אַהֲרֹןel-A/ha/RONto Aaronקְרַבke/RAVdraw nearאֶל־הַמִּזְבֵּחַel-ham/miz/BE/achto the altarוַעֲשֵׂהva/a/SEand offerאֶת־חַטָּאתְךָet-chat/ta/te/KHAyour sin offeringוְאֶת־עֹלָתֶךָve/ET-o/la/TE/khaand your burnt offeringוְכַפֵּרve/khap/PERand make atonementבַּעַדְךָba/ad/KHAfor yourselfוּבְעַדu/ve/ADand forהָעָםha/AMthe peopleוַעֲשֵׂהva/a/SEand offerאֶת־קׇרְבַּןet-kor/BANthe offering ofהָעָםha/AMthe peopleוְכַפֵּרve/khap/PERand make atonementבַּעֲדָםba/a/DAMfor themכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasצִוָּהtsiv/VAcommandedיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

   And Moses said unto Aaron, Go unto the altar, and offer thy sin offering, and thy burnt offering, and make an atonement for thyself, and for the people: and offer the offering of the people, and make an atonement for them; as the LORD commanded.

8. 8

   וַיִּקְרַבvay/yik/RAVand wentאַהֲרֹןA/ha/RONAaronאֶל־הַמִּזְבֵּחַel-ham/miz/BE/achto the altarוַיִּשְׁחַטvay/yish/CHATand he slaughteredאֶת־עֵגֶלet-E/gelthe calf ofהַחַטָּאתha/chat/TATthe sin offeringאֲשֶׁר־לוֹ׃a/SHER-lowhich was for himself

   Aaron therefore went unto the altar, and slew the calf of the sin offering, which was for himself.

   וַיַּקְרִבוּvay/yak/RI/vuand broughtבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofאַהֲרֹןA/ha/RONAaronאֶת־הַדָּםet-had/DAMthe bloodאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himוַיִּטְבֹּלvay/yit/BOLand he dippedאֶצְבָּעוֹets/ba/Ohis fingerבַּדָּםbad/DAMin the bloodוַיִּתֵּןvay/yit/TENand putעַל־קַרְנוֹתal-kar/NOTupon the horns ofהַמִּזְבֵּחַham/miz/BE/achthe altarוְאֶת־הַדָּםve/ET-had/DAMand the bloodיָצַקya/TSAKhe pouredאֶל־יְסוֹדel-ye/SODat the base ofהַמִּזְבֵּחַ׃ham/miz/BE/achthe altar

   And the sons of Aaron brought the blood unto him: and he dipped his finger in the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar, and poured out the blood at the bottom of the altar:

    וְאֶת־הַחֵלֶבve/ET-ha/CHE/levand the fatוְאֶת־הַכְּלָיֹתve/ET-hak/ke/la/YOTand the kidneysוְאֶת־הַיֹּתֶרֶתve/ET-hay/yo/TE/retand the lobeמִן־הַכָּבֵדmin-hak/ka/VEDof the liverמִן־הַחַטָּאתmin-ha/chat/TATof the sin offeringהִקְטִירhik/TIRhe burnedהַמִּזְבֵּחָהham/miz/BE/chaon the altarכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasצִוָּהtsiv/VAcommandedיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶת־מֹשֶׁה׃et-Mo/SHEMoses

    But the fat, and the kidneys, and the caul above the liver of the sin offering, he burnt upon the altar; as the LORD commanded Moses.

11. 11

    וְאֶת־הַבָּשָׂרve/ET-hab/ba/SARand the fleshוְאֶת־הָעוֹרve/ET-ha/ORand the skinשָׂרַףsa/RAFhe burnedבָּאֵשׁba/ESHby fireמִחוּץmi/CHUTSoutsideלַמַּחֲנֶה׃lam/ma/cha/NEthe camp

    And the flesh and the hide he burnt with fire without the camp.

12. 12

    וַיִּשְׁחַטvay/yish/CHATand he slaughteredאֶת־הָעֹלָהet-ha/o/LAthe burnt offeringוַיַּמְצִאוּvay/yam/tsi/Uand presentedבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofאַהֲרֹןA/ha/RONAaronאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himאֶת־הַדָּםet-had/DAMthe bloodוַיִּזְרְקֵהוּvay/yiz/re/KE/huand he sprinkled itעַל־הַמִּזְבֵּחַal-ham/miz/BE/achupon the altarסָבִיב׃sa/VIVround about

    And he slew the burnt offering; and Aaron's sons presented unto him the blood, which he sprinkled round about upon the altar.

13. 13

    וְאֶת־הָעֹלָהve/ET-ha/o/LAand the burnt offeringהִמְצִיאוּhim/TSI/uthey presentedאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himלִנְתָחֶיהָlin/ta/CHE/hawith its piecesוְאֶת־הָרֹאשׁve/ET-ha/ROSHand the headוַיַּקְטֵרvay/yak/TERand he burnedעַל־הַמִּזְבֵּחַ׃al-ham/miz/BE/achupon the altar

    And they presented the burnt offering unto him, with the pieces thereof, and the head: and he burnt them upon the altar.

14. 14

    וַיִּרְחַץvay/yir/CHATSand he washedאֶת־הַקֶּרֶבet-hak/KE/revthe entrailsוְאֶת־הַכְּרָעָיִםve/ET-hak/ke/ra/A/yimand the legsוַיַּקְטֵרvay/yak/TERand he burnedעַל־הָעֹלָהal-ha/o/LAupon the burnt offeringהַמִּזְבֵּחָה׃ham/miz/BE/chaon the altar

    And he did wash the inwards and the legs, and burnt them upon the burnt offering on the altar.

15. 15

    וַיַּקְרֵבvay/yak/REVand he broughtאֵת־קׇרְבַּןet-kor/BANthe offering ofהָעָםha/AMthe peopleוַיִּקַּחvay/yik/KACHand tookאֶת־שְׂעִירet-se/IRthe goat ofהַחַטָּאתha/chat/TATthe sin offeringאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichלָעָםla/AMfor the peopleוַיִּשְׁחָטֵהוּvay/yish/cha/TE/huand he slaughtered itוַיְחַטְּאֵהוּvay/chat/te/E/huand offered it for sinכָּרִאשׁוֹן׃ka/ri/SHONas the first

    And he brought the people's offering, and took the goat, which was the sin offering for the people, and slew it, and offered it for sin, as the first.

16. 16

    וַיַּקְרֵבvay/yak/REVand he broughtאֶת־הָעֹלָהet-ha/o/LAthe burnt offeringוַיַּעֲשֶׂהָvay/ya/a/SE/haand he offered itכַּמִּשְׁפָּט׃kam/mish/PATaccording to the ordinance

    And he brought the burnt offering, and offered it according to the manner.

17. 17

    וַיַּקְרֵבvay/yak/REVand he broughtאֶת־הַמִּנְחָהet-ham/min/CHAthe grain offeringוַיְמַלֵּאvay/mal/LEand he filledכַפּוֹkhap/POhis handמִמֶּנָּהmim/MEN/naof itוַיַּקְטֵרvay/yak/TERand he burnedעַל־הַמִּזְבֵּחַal-ham/miz/BE/achupon the altarמִלְּבַדmil/le/VADbesidesעֹלַתo/LATthe burnt offering ofהַבֹּקֶר׃hab/BO/kerthe morning

    And he brought the meat offering, and took an handful thereof, and burnt it upon the altar, beside the burnt sacrifice of the morning.

18. 18

    וַיִּשְׁחַטvay/yish/CHATand he slaughteredאֶת־הַשּׁוֹרet-hash/SHORthe oxוְאֶת־הָאַיִלve/ET-ha/A/yiland the ramזֶבַחZE/vachthe sacrifice ofהַשְּׁלָמִיםhash/she/la/MIMthe peace offeringsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhich wasלָעָםla/AMfor the peopleוַיַּמְצִאוּvay/yam/tsi/Uand presentedבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofאַהֲרֹןA/ha/RONAaronאֶת־הַדָּםet-had/DAMthe bloodאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himוַיִּזְרְקֵהוּvay/yiz/re/KE/huand he sprinkled itעַל־הַמִּזְבֵּחַal-ham/miz/BE/achupon the altarסָבִיב׃sa/VIVround about

    He slew also the bullock and the ram for a sacrifice of peace offerings, which was for the people: and Aaron's sons presented unto him the blood, which he sprinkled upon the altar round about,

19. 19

    וְאֶת־הַחֲלָבִיםve/ET-ha/cha/la/VIMand the fat portionsמִן־הַשּׁוֹרmin-hash/SHORof the oxוּמִן־הָאַיִלu/MIN-ha/A/yiland of the ramהָאַלְיָהha/al/YAthe fat tailוְהַמְכַסֶּהve/ham/khas/SEand that which coversוְהַכְּלָיֹתve/hak/ke/la/YOTand the kidneysוְיֹתֶרֶתve/yo/TE/retand the lobe ofהַכָּבֵד׃hak/ka/VEDthe liver

    And the fat of the bullock and of the ram, the rump, and that which covereth the inwards, and the kidneys, and the caul above the liver:

20. 20

    וַיָּשִׂימוּvay/ya/SI/muand they putאֶת־הַחֲלָבִיםet-ha/cha/la/VIMthe fat portionsעַל־הֶחָזוֹתal-he/cha/ZOTupon the breastsוַיַּקְטֵרvay/yak/TERand he burnedהַחֲלָבִיםha/cha/la/VIMthe fat portionsהַמִּזְבֵּחָה׃ham/miz/BE/chaon the altar

    And they put the fat upon the breasts, and he burnt the fat upon the altar:

21. 21

    וְאֵתve/ETandהֶחָזוֹתhe/cha/ZOTthe breastsוְאֵתve/ETandשׁוֹקshokthe thigh ofהַיָּמִיןhay/ya/MINthe rightהֵנִיףhe/NIFwavedאַהֲרֹןA/ha/RONAaronתְּנוּפָהte/nu/FAas a wave offeringלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasצִוָּהtsiv/VAcommandedמֹשֶׁה׃Mo/SHEMoses

    And the breasts and the right shoulder Aaron waved for a wave offering before the LORD; as Moses commanded.

22. 22

    וַיִּשָּׂאvay/yis/SAand lifted upאַהֲרֹןA/ha/RONAaronאֶת־יָדָוet-ya/DAVhis handsאֶל־הָעָםel-ha/AMto the peopleוַיְבָרְכֵםvay/va/re/KHEMand he blessed themוַיֵּרֶדvay/YE/redand he came downמֵעֲשֹׂתme/a/SOTfrom offeringהַחַטָּאתha/chat/TATthe sin offeringוְהָעֹלָהve/ha/o/LAand the burnt offeringוְהַשְּׁלָמִים׃ve/hash/she/la/MIMand the peace offerings

    And Aaron lifted up his hand toward the people, and blessed them, and came down from offering of the sin offering, and the burnt offering, and peace offerings.

23. 23

    וַיָּבֹאvay/ya/VOand cameמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesוְאַהֲרֹןve/A/ha/RONand Aaronאֶל־אֹהֶלel-O/helinto the tent ofמוֹעֵדmo/EDmeetingוַיֵּצְאוּvay/yets/Uand came outוַיְבָרְכוּvay/va/re/KHUand they blessedאֶת־הָעָםet-ha/AMthe peopleוַיֵּרָאvay/ye/RAand appearedכְבוֹד־יְהֹוָהkhe/VOD-Adonaithe glory of the LORDאֶל־כׇּל־הָעָם׃el-kol-ha/AMto all the people

    And Moses and Aaron went into the tabernacle of the congregation, and came out, and blessed the people: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto all the people.

24. 24

    וַתֵּצֵאvat/te/TSEand came outאֵשׁeshfireמִלִּפְנֵיmil/lif/NEfrom beforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוַתֹּאכַלvat/TO/khaland consumedעַל־הַמִּזְבֵּחַal-ham/miz/BE/achupon the altarאֶת־הָעֹלָהet-ha/o/LAthe burnt offeringוְאֶת־הַחֲלָבִיםve/ET-ha/cha/la/VIMand the fat portionsוַיַּרְאvay/YARand sawכׇּל־הָעָםkol-ha/AMall the peopleוַיָּרֹנּוּvay/ya/RON/nuand they shoutedוַיִּפְּלוּvay/yip/pe/LUand they fellעַל־פְּנֵיהֶם׃al-pe/ne/HEMupon their faces

    And there came a fire out from before the LORD, and consumed upon the altar the burnt offering and the fat: which when all the people saw, they shouted, and fell on their faces.
