    וְנֶפֶשׁand a soulכִּי־תֶחֱטָאif it will sinוְשָׁמְעָהand it will hearקוֹלthe voice ofאָלָהan oathוְהוּאand itעֵדa witnessאוֹorרָאָהhe sawאוֹorיָדָעhe knewאִם־לוֹאif notיַגִּידshall declareוְנָשָׂאand shall bearעֲוֺנוֹ׃his iniquity

    And if a soul sin, and hear the voice of swearing, and is a witness, whether he hath seen or known of it; if he do not utter it, then he shall bear his iniquity.

    אוֹorנֶפֶשׁa soulאֲשֶׁרwhichתִּגַּעit will touchבְּכׇל־דָּבָרin any thingטָמֵאuncleanאוֹorבְנִבְלַתa carcass ofחַיָּהa wild animalטְמֵאָהuncleanאוֹorבְּנִבְלַתa carcass ofבְּהֵמָהbeastטְמֵאָהuncleanאוֹorבְּנִבְלַתa carcass ofשֶׁרֶץa swarming thingטָמֵאuncleanוְנֶעְלַםand it will be hiddenמִמֶּנּוּfrom itוְהוּאand itטָמֵאuncleanוְאָשֵׁם׃and he will be guilty

    Or if a soul touch any unclean thing, whether it be a carcase of an unclean beast, or a carcase of unclean cattle, or the carcase of unclean creeping things, and if it be hidden from him; he also shall be unclean, and guilty.

    אוֹorכִיthatיִגַּעhe will touchבְּטֻמְאַתthe uncleanness ofאָדָםmanלְכֹלfor allטֻמְאָתוֹhis uncleannessאֲשֶׁרwhichיִטְמָאhe shall be uncleanבָּהּin itוְנֶעְלַםand it will be hiddenמִמֶּנּוּfrom itוְהוּאand itיָדַעhe knewוְאָשֵׁם׃and he will be guilty

    Or if he touch the uncleanness of man, whatsoever uncleanness it be that a man shall be defiled withal, and it be hid from him; when he knoweth of it, then he shall be guilty.

    אוֹorנֶפֶשׁa soulכִּיifתִשָּׁבַעswearsלְבַטֵּאby speaking rashlyבִשְׂפָתַיִםwith lipsלְהָרַעto injureאוֹorלְהֵיטִיבto do goodלְכֹלfor allאֲשֶׁרwhichיְבַטֵּאwill speak rashlyהָאָדָםthe manבִּשְׁבֻעָהin an oathוְנֶעְלַםand it will be hiddenמִמֶּנּוּfrom itוְהוּא־יָדַעand it he knewוְאָשֵׁםand he will be guiltyלְאַחַתto oneמֵאֵלֶּה׃of these

    Or if a soul swear, pronouncing with his lips to do evil, or to do good, whatsoever it be that a man shall pronounce with an oath, and it be hid from him; when he knoweth of it, then he shall be guilty in one of these.

    וְהָיָהand it shall beכִי־יֶאְשַׁםthat he will be guiltyלְאַחַתto oneמֵאֵלֶּהof theseוְהִתְוַדָּהand he will confessאֲשֶׁרwhichחָטָאhe has committedעָלֶיהָ׃upon it

    And it shall be, when he shall be guilty in one of these things, that he shall confess that he hath sinned in that thing:

    וְהֵבִיאand he will bringאֶת־אֲשָׁמוֹhis guilt offeringלַיהֹוָהto the LORDעַלuponחַטָּאתוֹhis sinאֲשֶׁרwhichחָטָאhe has committedנְקֵבָהa femaleמִן־הַצֹּאןfrom the flockכִּשְׂבָּהa ewe lambאוֹ־שְׂעִירַתor a female goat ofעִזִּיםgoatsלְחַטָּאתto a sin offeringוְכִפֶּרand he will make atonementעָלָיוupon himהַכֹּהֵןthe priestמֵחַטָּאתוֹ׃from his sin

    And he shall bring his trespass offering unto the LORD for his sin which he hath sinned, a female from the flock, a lamb or a kid of the goats, for a sin offering; and the priest shall make an atonement for him concerning his sin.

    וְאִם־לֹאand if notתַגִּיעַreachesיָדוֹhis handדֵּיenough forשֶׂהa lambוְהֵבִיאand he will bringאֶת־אֲשָׁמוֹhis guilt offeringאֲשֶׁרwhichחָטָאhe has committedשְׁתֵּיtwoתֹרִיםturtle dovesאוֹ־שְׁנֵיor twoבְנֵי־יוֹנָהsons of a doveלַיהֹוָהto the LORDאֶחָדoneלְחַטָּאתto a sin offeringוְאֶחָדand oneלְעֹלָה׃to a burnt offering

    And if he be not able to bring a lamb, then he shall bring for his trespass, which he hath committed, two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, unto the LORD; one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering.

  8. 8

    וְהֵבִיאand he will bringאֹתָםthemאֶל־הַכֹּהֵןto the priestוְהִקְרִיבand shall offerאֶת־אֲשֶׁרthat whichלַחַטָּאתis for the sin offeringרִאשׁוֹנָהfirstוּמָלַקand he will nip offאֶת־רֹאשׁוֹhis headמִמּוּלfrom in front ofעׇרְפּוֹits neckוְלֹאand notיַבְדִּיל׃he shall divide

    And he shall bring them unto the priest, who shall offer that which is for the sin offering first, and wring off his head from his neck, but shall not divide it asunder:

  9. 9

    וְהִזָּהand he will spatterמִדַּםfrom the blood ofהַחַטָּאתthe sinעַל־קִירupon the wall ofהַמִּזְבֵּחַthe altarוְהַנִּשְׁאָרand the remainderבַּדָּםin the bloodיִמָּצֵהit will be drained outאֶל־יְסוֹדto foundationהַמִּזְבֵּחַthe altarחַטָּאתsinהוּא׃it

    And he shall sprinkle of the blood of the sin offering upon the side of the altar; and the rest of the blood shall be wrung out at the bottom of the altar: it is a sin offering.

  10. 10

    וְאֶת־הַשֵּׁנִיand the secondיַעֲשֶׂהhe shall doעֹלָהa burnt offeringכַּמִּשְׁפָּטaccording to the ordinanceוְכִפֶּרand he will make atonementעָלָיוupon himהַכֹּהֵןthe priestמֵחַטָּאתוֹfrom his sinאֲשֶׁר־חָטָאwhich he has committedוְנִסְלַחand it will be forgivenלוֹ׃to him

    And he shall offer the second for a burnt offering, according to the manner: and the priest shall make an atonement for him for his sin which he hath sinned, and it shall be forgiven him.

  11. 11

    וְאִם־לֹאand if notתַשִּׂיגit will reachיָדוֹhis handלִשְׁתֵּיfor the twoתֹרִיםturtle dovesאוֹorלִשְׁנֵיin twoבְנֵי־יוֹנָהsons of a doveוְהֵבִיאand he will bringאֶת־קׇרְבָּנוֹhis offeringאֲשֶׁרwhichחָטָאhe has committedעֲשִׂירִתtenth ofהָאֵפָהthe ephahסֹלֶתfine flourלְחַטָּאתto a sin offeringלֹא־יָשִׂיםnot he shall putעָלֶיהָupon itשֶׁמֶןoilוְלֹא־יִתֵּןand not shall giveעָלֶיהָupon itלְבֹנָהfrankincenseכִּיbecauseחַטָּאתsinהִוא׃it is

    But if he be not able to bring two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, then he that sinned shall bring for his offering the tenth part of an ephah of fine flour for a sin offering; he shall put no oil upon it, neither shall he put any frankincense thereon: for it is a sin offering.

  12. 12

    וֶהֱבִיאָהּand he will bring itאֶל־הַכֹּהֵןto the priestוְקָמַץand he will take a handfulהַכֹּהֵןthe priestמִמֶּנָּהfrom itמְלוֹאthe fullness ofקֻמְצוֹhis handfulאֶת־אַזְכָּרָתָהּits memorial offeringוְהִקְטִירand shall burnהַמִּזְבֵּחָהon the altarעַלuponאִשֵּׁיthe fire offerings ofיְהֹוָהthe LORDחַטָּאתsinהִוא׃it is

    Then shall he bring it to the priest, and the priest shall take his handful of it, even a memorial thereof, and burn it on the altar, according to the offerings made by fire unto the LORD: it is a sin offering.

  13. 13

    וְכִפֶּרand he will make atonementעָלָיוupon himהַכֹּהֵןthe priestעַל־חַטָּאתוֹfor his sinאֲשֶׁר־חָטָאwhich he has committedמֵאַחַתany oneמֵאֵלֶּהof theseוְנִסְלַחand it will be forgivenלוֹto himוְהָיְתָהand it shall beלַכֹּהֵןto the priestכַּמִּנְחָה׃like the grain offering

    And the priest shall make an atonement for him as touching his sin that he hath sinned in one of these, and it shall be forgiven him: and the remnant shall be the priest's, as a meat offering.

  14. 14

    וַיְדַבֵּרand spokeיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֶל־מֹשֶׁהto Mosesלֵּאמֹר׃saying

    And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

  15. 15

    נֶפֶשׁa soulכִּי־תִמְעֹלwhen it acts unfaithfullyמַעַלunfaithfulnessוְחָטְאָהand it will sinבִּשְׁגָגָהby inadvertenceמִקׇּדְשֵׁיfrom the holy things ofיְהֹוָהthe LORDוְהֵבִיאand he will bringאֶת־אֲשָׁמוֹhis guilt offeringלַיהֹוָהto the LORDאַיִלa ramתָּמִיםwithout blemishמִן־הַצֹּאןfrom the flockבְּעֶרְכְּךָby your valuationכֶּסֶף־שְׁקָלִיםsilver shekelsבְּשֶׁקֶל־הַקֹּדֶשׁby the shekel of the sanctuaryלְאָשָׁם׃to a guilt offering

    If a soul commit a trespass, and sin through ignorance, in the holy things of the LORD; then he shall bring for his trespass unto the LORD a ram without blemish out of the flocks, with thy estimation by shekels of silver, after the shekel of the sanctuary, for a trespass offering:

  16. 16

    וְאֵתandאֲשֶׁרwhichחָטָאhe has committedמִן־הַקֹּדֶשׁfrom the sanctuaryיְשַׁלֵּםhe will completeוְאֶת־חֲמִישִׁתוֹand its fifthיוֹסֵףhe shall addעָלָיוupon himוְנָתַןand he shall giveאֹתוֹitלַכֹּהֵןto the priestוְהַכֹּהֵןand the priestיְכַפֵּרshall make atonementעָלָיוupon himבְּאֵילby the ram ofהָאָשָׁםthe guilt offeringוְנִסְלַחand it will be forgivenלוֹ׃to him

    And he shall make amends for the harm that he hath done in the holy thing, and shall add the fifth part thereto, and give it unto the priest: and the priest shall make an atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering, and it shall be forgiven him.

  17. 17

    וְאִם־נֶפֶשׁand if a soulכִּיwhenתֶחֱטָאit will sinוְעָשְׂתָהand it will doאַחַתoneמִכׇּל־מִצְוֺתfrom all the commandments ofיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֲשֶׁרwhichלֹאnotתֵעָשֶׂינָהshall be doneוְלֹא־יָדַעand not he knewוְאָשֵׁםand he will be guiltyוְנָשָׂאand shall bearעֲוֺנוֹ׃his iniquity

    And if a soul sin, and commit any of these things which are forbidden to be done by the commandments of the LORD; though he wist it not, yet is he guilty, and shall bear his iniquity.

  18. 18

    וְהֵבִיאand he will bringאַיִלa ramתָּמִיםwithout blemishמִן־הַצֹּאןfrom the flockבְּעֶרְכְּךָby your valuationלְאָשָׁםto a guilt offeringאֶל־הַכֹּהֵןto the priestוְכִפֶּרand he will make atonementעָלָיוupon himהַכֹּהֵןthe priestעַלuponשִׁגְגָתוֹhis inadvertenceאֲשֶׁר־שָׁגָגwhich he has gone astrayוְהוּאand itלֹא־יָדַעnot he knewוְנִסְלַחand it will be forgivenלוֹ׃to him

    And he shall bring a ram without blemish out of the flock, with thy estimation, for a trespass offering, unto the priest: and the priest shall make an atonement for him concerning his ignorance wherein he erred and wist it not, and it shall be forgiven him.

  19. 19

    אָשָׁםa guilt offeringהוּאitאָשֹׁםsurelyאָשַׁםhe was guiltyלַיהֹוָה׃to the LORD

    It is a trespass offering: he hath certainly trespassed against the LORD.

  20. 20

    וַיְדַבֵּרand spokeיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֶל־מֹשֶׁהto Mosesלֵּאמֹר׃saying

    And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

  21. 21

    נֶפֶשׁa soulכִּיifתֶחֱטָאit will sinוּמָעֲלָהand it will act unfaithfullyמַעַלunfaithfulnessבַּיהֹוָהin the LORDוְכִחֵשׁand he will denyבַּעֲמִיתוֹhis fellow citizenבְּפִקָּדוֹןan item entrustedאוֹ־בִתְשׂוּמֶתor deposited property ofיָדhandאוֹorבְגָזֵלin robberyאוֹorעָשַׁקhe has oppressedאֶת־עֲמִיתוֹ׃his fellow citizen

    If a soul sin, and commit a trespass against the LORD, and lie unto his neighbour in that which was delivered him to keep, or in fellowship, or in a thing taken away by violence, or hath deceived his neighbour;

  22. 22

    אוֹ־מָצָאor he foundאֲבֵדָהa lost thingוְכִחֶשׁand he will denyבָּהּin itוְנִשְׁבַּעand he will swear an oathעַל־שָׁקֶרfalselyעַל־אַחַתupon oneמִכֹּלof allאֲשֶׁר־יַעֲשֶׂהwhich he shall doהָאָדָםthe manלַחֲטֹאto sinבָהֵנָּה׃by them

    Or have found that which was lost, and lieth concerning it, and sweareth falsely; in any of all these that a man doeth, sinning therein:

  23. 23

    וְהָיָהand it shall beכִּי־יֶחֱטָאwhen he sinsוְאָשֵׁםand he will be guiltyוְהֵשִׁיבand he shall restoreאֶת־הַגְּזֵלָהthe thing robbedאֲשֶׁרwhichגָּזָלhe robbedאוֹorאֶת־הָעֹשֶׁקthe oppressionאֲשֶׁרwhichעָשָׁקhe oppressedאוֹorאֶת־הַפִּקָּדוֹןthe item entrustedאֲשֶׁרwhichהׇפְקַדwas entrustedאִתּוֹwith himאוֹorאֶת־הָאֲבֵדָהthe thing lostאֲשֶׁרwhichמָצָא׃he found

    Then it shall be, because he hath sinned, and is guilty, that he shall restore that which he took violently away, or the thing which he hath deceitfully gotten, or that which was delivered him to keep, or the lost thing which he found,

  24. 24

    אוֹorמִכֹּלof allאֲשֶׁר־יִשָּׁבַעwhich he swearsעָלָיוupon himלַשֶּׁקֶרto the falsehoodוְשִׁלַּםand he will repayאֹתוֹhimבְּרֹאשׁוֹin its principalוַחֲמִשִׁתָיוand its fifthיֹסֵףmay he addעָלָיוupon himלַאֲשֶׁרunto him whoהוּאitלוֹto himיִתְּנֶנּוּhe shall give itבְּיוֹםin the day ofאַשְׁמָתוֹ׃his guilt

    Or all that about which he hath sworn falsely; he shall even restore it in the principal, and shall add the fifth part more thereto, and give it unto him to whom it appertaineth, in the day of his trespass offering.

  25. 25

    וְאֶת־אֲשָׁמוֹand his guilt offeringיָבִיאshall bringלַיהֹוָהto the LORDאַיִלa ramתָּמִיםwithout blemishמִן־הַצֹּאןfrom the flockבְּעֶרְכְּךָby your valuationלְאָשָׁםto a guilt offeringאֶל־הַכֹּהֵן׃to the priest

    And he shall bring his trespass offering unto the LORD, a ram without blemish out of the flock, with thy estimation, for a trespass offering, unto the priest:

  26. 26

    וְכִפֶּרand he will make atonementעָלָיוupon himהַכֹּהֵןthe priestלִפְנֵיbeforeיְהֹוָהthe LORDוְנִסְלַחand it will be forgivenלוֹto himעַל־אַחַתupon oneמִכֹּלof allאֲשֶׁר־יַעֲשֶׂהwhich he shall doלְאַשְׁמָהto guiltבָהּ׃in it

    And the priest shall make an atonement for him before the LORD: and it shall be forgiven him for any thing of all that he hath done in trespassing therein.
