    לֹא־תַעֲשׂוּnot you shall doלָכֶםto youאֱלִילִםworthless idolsוּפֶסֶלand an idolוּמַצֵּבָהand a sacred pillarלֹא־תָקִימוּnot you shall set upלָכֶםto youוְאֶבֶןand the stone ofמַשְׂכִּיתa carved imageלֹאnotתִתְּנוּyou shall putבְּאַרְצְכֶםin your landלְהִשְׁתַּחֲוֺתto bow downעָלֶיהָupon itכִּיforאֲנִיIיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶם׃your God

    Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the LORD your God.

    אֶת־שַׁבְּתֹתַיmy sabbathsתִּשְׁמֹרוּyou will observeוּמִקְדָּשִׁיand my sanctuaryתִּירָאוּyou fearאֲנִיIיְהֹוָה׃the LORD

    Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the LORD.

    אִם־בְּחֻקֹּתַיmy if in statutesתֵּלֵכוּyou will walkוְאֶת־מִצְוֺתַיand my commandmentsתִּשְׁמְרוּyou keepוַעֲשִׂיתֶםand you have doneאֹתָם׃them

    If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them;

    וְנָתַתִּיand I will giveגִשְׁמֵיכֶםyour rainsבְּעִתָּםin their timeוְנָתְנָהand it will giveהָאָרֶץthe landיְבוּלָהּits produceוְעֵץand tree ofהַשָּׂדֶהthe fieldיִתֵּןshall giveפִּרְיוֹ׃his fruit

    Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.

    וְהִשִּׂיגand it will reachלָכֶםto youדַּיִשׁthreshingאֶת־בָּצִירgrape harvestוּבָצִירand grape harvestיַשִּׂיגit shall overtakeאֶת־זָרַעseedוַאֲכַלְתֶּםand you shall eatלַחְמְכֶםyour breadלָשֹׂבַעto abundanceוִישַׁבְתֶּםand you shall dwellלָבֶטַחin safetyבְּאַרְצְכֶם׃in your land

    And your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing time: and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.

    וְנָתַתִּיand I will giveשָׁלוֹםpeaceבָּאָרֶץin the landוּשְׁכַבְתֶּםand you will lie downוְאֵיןand there is noמַחֲרִידone who terrifiesוְהִשְׁבַּתִּיand I will cause to ceaseחַיָּהa wild animalרָעָהevilמִן־הָאָרֶץfrom the landוְחֶרֶבand sword ofלֹא־תַעֲבֹרnot you pass byבְּאַרְצְכֶם׃in your land

    And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid: and I will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land.

    וּרְדַפְתֶּםand you shall pursueאֶת־אֹיְבֵיכֶםyour enemiesוְנָפְלוּand they shall fallלִפְנֵיכֶםbefore youלֶחָרֶב׃to the sword

    And ye shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword.

    וְרָדְפוּand they will pursueמִכֶּםfrom youחֲמִשָּׁהfiveמֵאָהa hundredוּמֵאָהand one hundredמִכֶּםfrom youרְבָבָהten thousandיִרְדֹּפוּthey pursueוְנָפְלוּand they shall fallאֹיְבֵיכֶםyour enemiesלִפְנֵיכֶםbefore youלֶחָרֶב׃to the sword

    And five of you shall chase an hundred, and an hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight: and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword.

    וּפָנִיתִיand I will turnאֲלֵיכֶםunto youוְהִפְרֵיתִיand I will make fruitfulאֶתְכֶםyouוְהִרְבֵּיתִיand I will multiplyאֶתְכֶםyouוַהֲקִימֹתִיand I will establishאֶת־בְּרִיתִיmy covenantאִתְּכֶם׃with you

    For I will have respect unto you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and establish my covenant with you.

    וַאֲכַלְתֶּםand you shall eatיָשָׁןold harvestנוֹשָׁןgrowing oldוְיָשָׁןand old harvestמִפְּנֵיbecause ofחָדָשׁnewתּוֹצִיאוּ׃you will bring out

    And ye shall eat old store, and bring forth the old because of the new.

    וְנָתַתִּיand I will giveמִשְׁכָּנִיmy dwelling placeבְּתוֹכְכֶםamong youוְלֹא־תִגְעַלand not it will abhorנַפְשִׁיmy lifeאֶתְכֶם׃you

    And I will set my tabernacle among you: and my soul shall not abhor you.

    וְהִתְהַלַּכְתִּיand I will walkבְּתוֹכְכֶםamong youוְהָיִיתִיand I will beלָכֶםto youלֵאלֹהִיםGodוְאַתֶּםand youתִּהְיוּ־לִיyou shall be to meלְעָם׃people

    And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people.

    אֲנִיIיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶםyour GodאֲשֶׁרwhichהוֹצֵאתִיI have ledאֶתְכֶםyouמֵאֶרֶץfrom the land ofמִצְרַיִםEgyptמִהְיֹתfrom beingלָהֶםto themעֲבָדִיםservantsוָאֶשְׁבֹּרand I brokeמֹטֹתthe bars ofעֻלְּכֶםyour yokeוָאוֹלֵךְand I made walkאֶתְכֶםyouקוֹמְמִיּוּת׃upright

    I am the LORD your God, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that ye should not be their bondmen; and I have broken the bands of your yoke, and made you go upright.

    וְאִם־לֹאand if notתִשְׁמְעוּyou hearkenלִיto meוְלֹאand notתַעֲשׂוּyou shall doאֵת־כׇּל־הַמִּצְוֺתall the commandmentsהָאֵלֶּה׃these

    But if ye will not hearken unto me, and will not do all these commandments;

    וְאִם־בְּחֻקֹּתַיand my if in statutesתִּמְאָסוּyou will rejectוְאִםand ifאֶת־מִשְׁפָּטַיmy judgmentsתִּגְעַלit will abhorנַפְשְׁכֶםsoulsלְבִלְתִּיto notעֲשׂוֹתdoאֶת־כׇּל־מִצְוֺתַיall my commandmentsלְהַפְרְכֶםby your breakingאֶת־בְּרִיתִי׃my covenant

    And if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but that ye break my covenant:

  16. 16

    אַף־אֲנִיyea Iאֶעֱשֶׂה־זֹּאתI do thisלָכֶםto youוְהִפְקַדְתִּיand I will appointעֲלֵיכֶםover youבֶּהָלָהsudden terrorאֶת־הַשַּׁחֶפֶתthe consumptionוְאֶת־הַקַּדַּחַתand the feverמְכַלּוֹתwhich cause to failעֵינַיִםthe eyesוּמְדִיבֹתand which make pine awayנָפֶשׁthe soulוּזְרַעְתֶּםand you shall sowלָרִיקto emptinessזַרְעֲכֶםyour seedוַאֲכָלֻהוּand they will eat itאֹיְבֵיכֶם׃your enemies

    I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.

    וְנָתַתִּיand I will giveפָנַיmy faceבָּכֶםin youוְנִגַּפְתֶּםand you will be defeatedלִפְנֵיbeforeאֹיְבֵיכֶםyour enemiesוְרָדוּand they shall ruleבָכֶםover youשֹׂנְאֵיכֶםthose who hate youוְנַסְתֶּםand you will fleeוְאֵין־רֹדֵףand there is no pursuingאֶתְכֶם׃you

    And I will set my face against you, and ye shall be slain before your enemies: they that hate you shall reign over you; and ye shall flee when none pursueth you.

  18. 18

    וְאִם־עַד־אֵלֶּהand if until theseלֹאnotתִשְׁמְעוּyou hearkenלִיto meוְיָסַפְתִּיand I will addלְיַסְּרָהto disciplineאֶתְכֶםyouשֶׁבַעsevenעַל־חַטֹּאתֵיכֶם׃upon your sins

    And if ye will not yet for all this hearken unto me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins.

    וְשָׁבַרְתִּיand I will breakאֶת־גְּאוֹןthe pride ofעֻזְּכֶםyour strengthוְנָתַתִּיand I will giveאֶת־שְׁמֵיכֶםyour heavensכַּבַּרְזֶלlike the ironוְאֶת־אַרְצְכֶםand your landכַּנְּחֻשָׁה׃like the bronze

    And I will break the pride of your power; and I will make your heaven as iron, and your earth as brass:

  20. 20

    וְתַםand it will be consumedלָרִיקto emptinessכֹּחֲכֶםyour mightוְלֹא־תִתֵּןand not it shall giveאַרְצְכֶםyour landאֶת־יְבוּלָהּits produceוְעֵץand tree ofהָאָרֶץthe landלֹאnotיִתֵּןshall giveפִּרְיוֹ׃his fruit

    And your strength shall be spent in vain: for your land shall not yield her increase, neither shall the trees of the land yield their fruits.

    וְאִם־תֵּלְכוּand if you walkעִמִּיwith meקֶרִיcontrarinessוְלֹאand notתֹאבוּyou are willingלִשְׁמֹעַto hearלִיto meוְיָסַפְתִּיand I will addעֲלֵיכֶםover youמַכָּהa slaughterשֶׁבַעsevenכְּחַטֹּאתֵיכֶם׃according to your sins

    And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me; I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins.

    וְהִשְׁלַחְתִּיand I will sendבָכֶםover youאֶת־חַיַּתbeasts ofהַשָּׂדֶהthe fieldוְשִׁכְּלָהand it will make childlessאֶתְכֶםyouוְהִכְרִיתָהand it will cut offאֶת־בְּהֶמְתְּכֶםyour livestockוְהִמְעִיטָהand it will diminishאֶתְכֶםyouוְנָשַׁמּוּand they will be desolateדַּרְכֵיכֶם׃your roads

    I will also send wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children, and destroy your cattle, and make you few in number; and your high ways shall be desolate.

  23. 23

    וְאִם־בְּאֵלֶּהand if in these waysלֹאnotתִוָּסְרוּyou will let yourself be disciplinedלִיto meוַהֲלַכְתֶּםand you will goעִמִּיwith meקֶרִי׃contrariness

    And if ye will not be reformed by me by these things, but will walk contrary unto me;

  24. 24

    וְהָלַכְתִּיand I will walkאַף־אֲנִיyea Iעִמָּכֶםwith youבְּקֶרִיin contrarinessוְהִכֵּיתִיand I will smiteאֶתְכֶםyouגַּם־אָנִיalso Iשֶׁבַעsevenעַל־חַטֹּאתֵיכֶם׃upon your sins

    Then will I also walk contrary unto you, and will punish you yet seven times for your sins.

  25. 25

    וְהֵבֵאתִיand I will bringעֲלֵיכֶםover youחֶרֶבthe sword ofנֹקֶמֶתwhich will avengeנְקַם־בְּרִיתvengeance of covenant ofוְנֶאֱסַפְתֶּםand you shall be gatheredאֶל־עָרֵיכֶםto your citiesוְשִׁלַּחְתִּיand I will sendדֶבֶרpestilenceבְּתוֹכְכֶםamong youוְנִתַּתֶּםand you shall be givenבְּיַד־אוֹיֵב׃into the hand of an enemy

    And I will bring a sword upon you, that shall avenge the quarrel of my covenant: and when ye are gathered together within your cities, I will send the pestilence among you; and ye shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy.

  26. 26

    בְּשִׁבְרִיwhen I breakלָכֶםto youמַטֵּה־לֶחֶםthe staff of breadוְאָפוּand they will bakeעֶשֶׂרtenנָשִׁיםwomenלַחְמְכֶםyour breadבְּתַנּוּרin an ovenאֶחָדoneוְהֵשִׁיבוּand they shall returnלַחְמְכֶםyour breadבַּמִּשְׁקָלin the weightוַאֲכַלְתֶּםand you shall eatוְלֹאand notתִשְׂבָּעוּ׃you will be satisfied

    And when I have broken the staff of your bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall deliver you your bread again by weight: and ye shall eat, and not be satisfied.

    וְאִם־בְּזֹאתand if in thisלֹאnotתִשְׁמְעוּyou hearkenלִיto meוַהֲלַכְתֶּםand you will goעִמִּיwith meבְּקֶרִי׃in contrariness

    And if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary unto me;

  28. 28

    וְהָלַכְתִּיand I will walkעִמָּכֶםwith youבַּחֲמַת־קֶרִיin anger of contrarinessוְיִסַּרְתִּיand I will disciplineאֶתְכֶםyouאַף־אָנִיyea Iשֶׁבַעsevenעַל־חַטֹּאתֵיכֶם׃upon your sins

    Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins.

  29. 29

    וַאֲכַלְתֶּםand you shall eatבְּשַׂרthe fleshבְּנֵיכֶםyour sonsוּבְשַׂרand the meat ofבְּנֹתֵיכֶםyour daughtersתֹּאכֵלוּ׃you will eat

    And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat.

  30. 30

    וְהִשְׁמַדְתִּיand I will destroyאֶת־בָּמֹתֵיכֶםyour high placesוְהִכְרַתִּיand cut offאֶת־חַמָּנֵיכֶםyour incense altarsוְנָתַתִּיand I will giveאֶת־פִּגְרֵיכֶםyour corpsesעַל־פִּגְרֵיupon the corpses ofגִּלּוּלֵיכֶםyour idolsוְגָעֲלָהand it will abhorנַפְשִׁיmy lifeאֶתְכֶם׃you

    And I will destroy your high places, and cut down your images, and cast your carcases upon the carcases of your idols, and my soul shall abhor you.

  31. 31

    וְנָתַתִּיand I will giveאֶת־עָרֵיכֶםcities of youחׇרְבָּהdesolationוַהֲשִׁמּוֹתִיand I will devastateאֶת־מִקְדְּשֵׁיכֶםyour sanctuariesוְלֹאand notאָרִיחַI will smellבְּרֵיחַthe aroma ofנִיחֹחֲכֶם׃your soothing

    And I will make your cities waste, and bring your sanctuaries unto desolation, and I will not smell the savour of your sweet odours.

  32. 32

    וַהֲשִׁמֹּתִיand I will devastateאֲנִיIאֶת־הָאָרֶץthe landוְשָׁמְמוּand they will be appalledעָלֶיהָupon itאֹיְבֵיכֶםyour enemiesהַיֹּשְׁבִיםthe inhabitantsבָּהּ׃in it

    And I will bring the land into desolation: and your enemies which dwell therein shall be astonished at it.

    וְאֶתְכֶםand youאֱזָרֶהI will scatterבַגּוֹיִםamong the nationsוַהֲרִיקֹתִיand I will drawאַחֲרֵיכֶםafter youחָרֶבa swordוְהָיְתָהand it beאַרְצְכֶםyour landשְׁמָמָהdesolateוְעָרֵיכֶםand your citiesיִהְיוּshall beחׇרְבָּה׃desolation

    And I will scatter you among the heathen, and will draw out a sword after you: and your land shall be desolate, and your cities waste.

    אָזthenתִּרְצֶהshall enjoyהָאָרֶץthe landאֶת־שַׁבְּתֹתֶיהָits sabbathsכֹּלallיְמֵיthe days ofהׇשַּׁמָּהֿits desolationוְאַתֶּםand youבְּאֶרֶץin the land ofאֹיְבֵיכֶםyour enemiesאָזthenתִּשְׁבַּתit will ceaseהָאָרֶץthe landוְהִרְצָתand it will acceptאֶת־שַׁבְּתֹתֶיהָ׃its sabbaths

    Then shall the land enjoy her sabbaths, as long as it lieth desolate, and ye be in your enemies' land; even then shall the land rest, and enjoy her sabbaths.

    כׇּל־יְמֵיall days ofהׇשַּׁמָּהֿits desolationתִּשְׁבֹּתit shall ceaseאֵת־אֲשֶׁרwhichלֹא־שָׁבְתָהnot has ceasedבְּשַׁבְּתֹתֵיכֶםin your sabbathsבְּשִׁבְתְּכֶםwhen you dweltעָלֶיהָ׃upon it

    As long as it lieth desolate it shall rest; because it did not rest in your sabbaths, when ye dwelt upon it.

  36. 36

    וְהַנִּשְׁאָרִיםand the remainingבָּכֶםin youוְהֵבֵאתִיand I will sendמֹרֶךְdespairבִּלְבָבָםin their heartsבְּאַרְצֹתin the land ofאֹיְבֵיהֶםtheir enemiesוְרָדַףand pursueאֹתָםthemקוֹלthe voice ofעָלֶהa leafנִדָּףdrivenוְנָסוּand they will fleeמְנֻסַת־חֶרֶבa flight of the sword ofוְנָפְלוּand they shall fallוְאֵיןand there is noרֹדֵף׃pursuing

    And upon them that are left alive of you I will send a faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies; and the sound of a shaken leaf shall chase them; and they shall flee, as fleeing from a sword; and they shall fall when none pursueth.

    וְכָשְׁלוּand shall stumbleאִישׁ־בְּאָחִיוeach over his brotherכְּמִפְּנֵי־חֶרֶבas from before the sword ofוְרֹדֵףand a pursuerאָיִןthere is noneוְלֹא־תִהְיֶהand not beלָכֶםto youתְּקוּמָהa standingלִפְנֵיbeforeאֹיְבֵיכֶם׃your enemies

    And they shall fall one upon another, as it were before a sword, when none pursueth: and ye shall have no power to stand before your enemies.

  38. 38

    וַאֲבַדְתֶּםand you will perishבַּגּוֹיִםamong the nationsוְאׇכְלָהand shall devourאֶתְכֶםyouאֶרֶץthe land ofאֹיְבֵיכֶם׃your enemies

    And ye shall perish among the heathen, and the land of your enemies shall eat you up.

  39. 39

    וְהַנִּשְׁאָרִיםand the remainingבָּכֶםin youיִמַּקּוּthey will rot awayבַּעֲוֺנָםin their iniquityבְּאַרְצֹתin the land ofאֹיְבֵיכֶםyour enemiesוְאַףand moreoverבַּעֲוֺנֹתin the iniquities ofאֲבֹתָםtheir fathersאִתָּםwith themיִמָּקּוּ׃they will rot away

    And they that are left of you shall pine away in their iniquity in your enemies' lands; and also in the iniquities of their fathers shall they pine away with them.

  40. 40

    וְהִתְוַדּוּand they shall confessאֶת־עֲוֺנָםtheir iniquityוְאֶת־עֲוֺןand the iniquity ofאֲבֹתָםtheir fathersבְּמַעֲלָםin their unfaithfulnessאֲשֶׁרwhichמָעֲלוּ־בִיthey acted unfaithfully against Meוְאַףand moreoverאֲשֶׁר־הָלְכוּwhich wentעִמִּיwith meבְּקֶרִי׃in contrariness

    If they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, with their trespass which they trespassed against me, and that also they have walked contrary unto me;

    אַף־אֲנִיyea Iאֵלֵךְwill goעִמָּםwith themבְּקֶרִיin contrarinessוְהֵבֵאתִיand broughtאֹתָםthemבְּאֶרֶץin the land ofאֹיְבֵיהֶםtheir enemiesאוֹ־אָזor thenיִכָּנַעyieldsלְבָבָםtheir heartsהֶעָרֵלuncircumcisedוְאָזand thenיִרְצוּthey shall acceptאֶת־עֲוֺנָם׃their iniquity

    And that I also have walked contrary unto them, and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised hearts be humbled, and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity:

  42. 42

    וְזָכַרְתִּיand I rememberedאֶת־בְּרִיתִיmy covenantיַעֲקוֹבJacobוְאַףand moreoverאֶת־בְּרִיתִיmy covenantיִצְחָקIsaacוְאַףand moreoverאֶת־בְּרִיתִיmy covenantאַבְרָהָםAbrahamאֶזְכֹּרI rememberוְהָאָרֶץand the landאֶזְכֹּר׃I remember

    Then will I remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land.

  43. 43

    וְהָאָרֶץand the landתֵּעָזֵבshall be forsakenמֵהֶםof themוְתִרֶץand it may acceptאֶת־שַׁבְּתֹתֶיהָits sabbathsבׇּהְשַׁמָּהֿwhen it is made desolateמֵהֶםof themוְהֵםand theyיִרְצוּthey shall acceptאֶת־עֲוֺנָםtheir iniquityיַעַןbecauseוּבְיַעַןand by causeבְּמִשְׁפָּטַיmy judgmentsמָאָסוּthey rejectedוְאֶת־חֻקֹּתַיand my statutesגָּעֲלָהit abhorredנַפְשָׁם׃their soul

    The land also shall be left of them, and shall enjoy her sabbaths, while she lieth desolate without them: and they shall accept of the punishment of their iniquity: because, even because they despised my judgments, and because their soul abhorred my statutes.

    וְאַף־גַּם־זֹאתand yet also thisבִּהְיוֹתָםwhen they areבְּאֶרֶץin the land ofאֹיְבֵיהֶםtheir enemiesלֹא־מְאַסְתִּיםnot I have rejected themוְלֹא־גְעַלְתִּיםand not I will abhor themלְכַלֹּתָםto make an end of themלְהָפֵרto breakבְּרִיתִיmy covenantאִתָּםwith themכִּיbecauseאֲנִיIיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֱלֹהֵיהֶם׃their God

    And yet for all that, when they be in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break my covenant with them: for I am the LORD their God.

  45. 45

    וְזָכַרְתִּיand I rememberedלָהֶםto themבְּרִיתcovenant ofרִאשֹׁנִיםfirstאֲשֶׁרwhichהוֹצֵאתִי־אֹתָםI have led themמֵאֶרֶץfrom the land ofמִצְרַיִםEgyptלְעֵינֵיin the eyes ofהַגּוֹיִםthe nationsלִהְיוֹתto beלָהֶםto themלֵאלֹהִיםGodאֲנִיIיְהֹוָה׃the LORD

    But I will for their sakes remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the heathen, that I might be their God: I am the LORD.

    אֵלֶּהtheseהַחֻקִּיםthe statutesוְהַמִּשְׁפָּטִיםand the judgmentsוְהַתּוֹרֹתand the lawsאֲשֶׁרwhichנָתַןgaveיְהֹוָהthe LORDבֵּינוֹbetween himselfוּבֵיןand betweenבְּנֵיthe sons ofיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelבְּהַרon the mount ofסִינַיSinaiבְּיַד־מֹשֶׁה׃in the hand of Moses

    These are the statutes and judgments and laws, which the LORD made between him and the children of Israel in mount Sinai by the hand of Moses.
