Leviticus 20 וַיִּקְרָא פרק כ׳

   וַיְדַבֵּרvay/dab/BERand spokeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־מֹשֶׁהel-Mo/SHEto Mosesלֵּאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

   And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

2. 2

   וְאֶל־בְּנֵיve/EL-be/NEand to the children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelתֹּאמַרto/MARyou shall sayאִישׁishanyאִישׁishmanמִבְּנֵיmib/be/NEof the children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelוּמִן־הַגֵּרu/MIN-hag/GERor of the strangersהַגָּרhag/GARwho sojournבְּיִשְׂרָאֵלbe/Yis/ra/ELin Israelאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoיִתֵּןyit/TENgivesמִזַּרְעוֹmiz/zar/Oof his offspringלַמֹּלֶךְlam/MO/lekhto Molechמוֹתmotdieיוּמָתyu/MAThe shall be put to deathעַםamthe people ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe landיִרְגְּמֻהוּyir/ge/MU/hushall stone himבָאָבֶן׃va/A/venwith stones

   Again, thou shalt say to the children of Israel, Whosoever he be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, that giveth any of his seed unto Molech; he shall surely be put to death: the people of the land shall stone him with stones.

   וַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iאֶתֵּןet/TENwill setאֶת־פָּנַיet-pa/NAYmy faceבָּאִישׁba/ISHagainst the manהַהוּאha/HUthatוְהִכְרַתִּיve/hikh/rat/TIand will cut offאֹתוֹo/TOhimמִקֶּרֶבmik/KE/revfrom amongעַמּוֹam/MOhis peopleכִּיkibecauseמִזַּרְעוֹmiz/zar/Oof his offspringנָתַןna/TANhe has givenלַמֹּלֶךְlam/MO/lekhto Molechלְמַעַןle/MA/anso asטַמֵּאtam/MEto defileאֶת־מִקְדָּשִׁיet-mik/da/SHImy sanctuaryוּלְחַלֵּלu/le/chal/LELand to profaneאֶת־שֵׁםet-shemthe name ofקׇדְשִׁי׃kod/SHImy holiness

   And I will set my face against that man, and will cut him off from among his people; because he hath given of his seed unto Molech, to defile my sanctuary, and to profane my holy name.

   וְאִםve/IMand ifהַעְלֵםha/LEMhideיַעְלִימוּya/li/MUhideעַםamthe people ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe landאֶת־עֵינֵיהֶםet-e/ne/HEMtheir eyesמִן־הָאִישׁmin-ha/ISHfrom the manהַהוּאha/HUthatבְּתִתּוֹbe/tit/TOwhen he givesמִזַּרְעוֹmiz/zar/Oof his offspringלַמֹּלֶךְlam/MO/lekhto Molechלְבִלְתִּיle/vil/TIso as notהָמִיתha/MITto put to deathאֹתוֹ׃o/TOhim

   And if the people of the land do any ways hide their eyes from the man, when he giveth of his seed unto Molech, and kill him not:

   וְשַׂמְתִּיve/sam/TIthen will setאֲנִיa/NIIאֶת־פָּנַיet-pa/NAYmy faceבָּאִישׁba/ISHagainst the manהַהוּאha/HUthatוּבְמִשְׁפַּחְתּוֹu/ve/mish/pach/TOand against his familyוְהִכְרַתִּיve/hikh/rat/TIand will cut offאֹתוֹo/TOhimוְאֵתve/ETandכׇּל־הַזֹּנִיםkol-haz/zo/NIMall who go whoringאַחֲרָיוa/cha/RAYVafter himלִזְנוֹתliz/NOTto go whoringאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterהַמֹּלֶךְHam/MO/lekhMolechמִקֶּרֶבmik/KE/revfrom amongעַמָּם׃am/MAMtheir people

   Then I will set my face against that man, and against his family, and will cut him off, and all that go a whoring after him, to commit whoredom with Molech, from among their people.

   וְהַנֶּפֶשׁve/han/NE/feshand the soulאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatתִּפְנֶהtif/NEturnsאֶל־הָאֹבֹתel-ha/o/VOTto the mediumsוְאֶל־הַיִּדְּעֹנִיםve/EL-hay/yid/de/o/NIMand to the wizardsלִזְנֹתliz/NOTto go whoringאַחֲרֵיהֶםa/cha/re/HEMafter themוְנָתַתִּיve/na/tat/TIthen I will setאֶת־פָּנַיet-pa/NAYmy faceבַּנֶּפֶשׁban/NE/feshagainst the soulהַהִואha/HIVthatוְהִכְרַתִּיve/hikh/rat/TIand will cut offאֹתוֹo/TOhimמִקֶּרֶבmik/KE/revfrom amongעַמּוֹ׃am/MOhis people

   And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.

   וְהִתְקַדִּשְׁתֶּםve/hit/kad/dish/TEMand you shall sanctify yourselvesוִהְיִיתֶםvih/yi/TEMand beקְדֹשִׁיםke/do/SHIMholyכִּיkiforאֲנִיa/NII amיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶם׃e/lo/he/KHEMyour God

   Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God.

8. 8

   וּשְׁמַרְתֶּםu/she/mar/TEMand you shall keepאֶת־חֻקֹּתַיet-chuk/ko/TAYmy statutesוַעֲשִׂיתֶםva/a/si/TEMand doאֹתָםo/TAMthemאֲנִיa/NII amיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDמְקַדִּשְׁכֶם׃me/kad/dish/KHEMwho sanctifies you

   And ye shall keep my statutes, and do them: I am the LORD which sanctify you.

9. 9

   כִּי־אִישׁki-ishfor anyאִישׁishmanאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoיְקַלֵּלye/kal/LELcursesאֶת־אָבִיוet-a/VIVhis fatherוְאֶת־אִמּוֹve/ET-im/MOand his motherמוֹתmotdieיוּמָתyu/MAThe shall be put to deathאָבִיוa/VIVhis fatherוְאִמּוֹve/im/MOand his motherקִלֵּלkil/LELhe has cursedדָּמָיוda/MAYVhis bloodבּוֹ׃bois upon him

   For every one that curseth his father or his mother shall be surely put to death: he hath cursed his father or his mother; his blood shall be upon him.

10. 10

    וְאִישׁve/ISHand a manאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoיִנְאַףyin/AFcommits adulteryאֶת־אֵשֶׁתet-E/shetwith the wife ofאִישׁisha manאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoיִנְאַףyin/AFcommits adulteryאֶת־אֵשֶׁתet-E/shetwith the wife ofרֵעֵהוּre/E/huhis neighborמוֹת־יוּמַתmot-yu/MATdie he shall be put to deathהַנֹּאֵףhan/no/EFthe adultererוְהַנֹּאָפֶת׃ve/han/no/A/fetand the adulteress

    And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.

11. 11

    וְאִישׁve/ISHand a manאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoיִשְׁכַּבyish/KAVlies withאֶת־אֵשֶׁתet-E/shetthe wife ofאָבִיוa/VIVhis fatherעֶרְוַתer/VATthe nakedness ofאָבִיוa/VIVhis fatherגִּלָּהgil/LAhe has uncoveredמוֹת־יוּמְתוּmot-yum/TUdie they shall be put to deathשְׁנֵיהֶםshe/ne/HEMboth of themדְּמֵיהֶםde/me/HEMtheir bloodבָּם׃bamis upon them

    And the man that lieth with his father's wife hath uncovered his father's nakedness: both of them shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

12. 12

    וְאִישׁve/ISHand a manאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoיִשְׁכַּבyish/KAVlies withאֶת־כַּלָּתוֹet-kal/la/TOhis daughter in lawמוֹתmotdieיוּמְתוּyum/TUthey shall be put to deathשְׁנֵיהֶםshe/ne/HEMboth of themתֶּבֶלTE/velperversionעָשׂוּa/SUthey have doneדְּמֵיהֶםde/me/HEMtheir bloodבָּם׃bamis upon them

    And if a man lie with his daughter in law, both of them shall surely be put to death: they have wrought confusion; their blood shall be upon them.

13. 13

    וְאִישׁve/ISHand a manאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoיִשְׁכַּבyish/KAVliesאֶת־זָכָרet-za/KHARwith a maleמִשְׁכְּבֵיmish/ke/VEas one lies withאִשָּׁהish/SHAa womanתּוֹעֵבָהto/e/VAan abominationעָשׂוּa/SUthey have doneשְׁנֵיהֶםshe/ne/HEMboth of themמוֹתmotdieיוּמָתוּyu/MA/tuthey shall be put to deathדְּמֵיהֶםde/me/HEMtheir bloodבָּם׃bamis upon them

    If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

14. 14

    וְאִישׁve/ISHand a manאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoיִקַּחyik/KACHtakesאֶת־אִשָּׁהet-ish/SHAa wifeוְאֶת־אִמָּהּve/ET-im/MAand her motherזִמָּהzim/MAlewdnessהִואhivit isבָּאֵשׁba/ESHby fireיִשְׂרְפוּyis/re/FUthey shall burnאֹתוֹo/TOhimוְאֶתְהֶןve/et/HENand themוְלֹא־תִהְיֶהve/LO-tih/YEthat there be noזִמָּהzim/MAlewdnessבְּתוֹכְכֶם׃be/tokh/KHEMamong you

    And if a man take a wife and her mother, it is wickedness: they shall be burnt with fire, both he and they; that there be no wickedness among you.

15. 15

    וְאִישׁve/ISHand a manאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoיִתֵּןyit/TENgivesשְׁכׇבְתּוֹshe/khov/TOhis lyingבִּבְהֵמָהbiv/he/MAwith a beastמוֹתmotdieיוּמָתyu/MAThe shall be put to deathוְאֶת־הַבְּהֵמָהve/ET-hab/be/he/MAand the beastתַּהֲרֹגוּ׃ta/ha/RO/guyou shall kill

    And if a man lie with a beast, he shall surely be put to death: and ye shall slay the beast.

16. 16

    וְאִשָּׁהve/ish/SHAand a womanאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoתִּקְרַבtik/RAVapproachesאֶל־כׇּל־בְּהֵמָהel-kol-be/he/MAany beastלְרִבְעָהֿle/riv/Ato lie down withאֹתָהּo/TAitוְהָרַגְתָּve/ha/rag/TAyou shall killאֶת־הָאִשָּׁהet-ha/ish/SHAthe womanוְאֶת־הַבְּהֵמָהve/ET-hab/be/he/MAand the beastמוֹתmotdieיוּמָתוּyu/MA/tuthey shall be put to deathדְּמֵיהֶםde/me/HEMtheir bloodבָּם׃bamis upon them

    And if a woman approach unto any beast, and lie down thereto, thou shalt kill the woman, and the beast: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

17. 17

    וְאִישׁve/ISHand a manאֲשֶׁר־יִקַּחa/SHER-yik/KACHwho takesאֶת־אֲחֹתוֹet-a/cho/TOhis sisterבַּת־אָבִיוbat-a/VIVthe daughter of his fatherאוֹoorבַת־אִמּוֹvat-im/MOthe daughter of his motherוְרָאָהve/ra/Aand seesאֶת־עֶרְוָתָהּet-er/va/TAher nakednessוְהִיא־תִרְאֶהve/HI-tir/Eand she seesאֶת־עֶרְוָתוֹet-er/va/TOhis nakednessחֶסֶדCHE/seda disgraceהוּאhuit isוְנִכְרְתוּve/nikh/re/TUand they shall be cut offלְעֵינֵיle/e/NEin the sight ofבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofעַמָּםam/MAMtheir peopleעֶרְוַתer/VATthe nakedness ofאֲחֹתוֹa/cho/TOhis sisterגִּלָּהgil/LAhe has uncoveredעֲוֺנוֹa/vo/NOhis iniquityיִשָּׂא׃yis/SAhe shall bear

    And if a man shall take his sister, his father's daughter, or his mother's daughter, and see her nakedness, and she see his nakedness; it is a wicked thing; and they shall be cut off in the sight of their people: he hath uncovered his sister's nakedness; he shall bear his iniquity.

18. 18

    וְאִישׁve/ISHand a manאֲשֶׁר־יִשְׁכַּבa/SHER-yish/KAVwho liesאֶת־אִשָּׁהet-ish/SHAwith a womanדָּוָהda/VAmenstruatingוְגִלָּהve/gil/LAand uncoversאֶת־עֶרְוָתָהּet-er/va/TAher nakednessאֶת־מְקֹרָהּet-me/ko/RAher fountainהֶעֱרָהhe/e/RAhe has laid bareוְהִואve/HIVand sheגִּלְּתָהgil/le/TAhas uncoveredאֶת־מְקוֹרet-me/KORthe fountain ofדָּמֶיהָda/ME/haher bloodוְנִכְרְתוּve/nikh/re/TUand shall be cut offשְׁנֵיהֶםshe/ne/HEMboth of themמִקֶּרֶבmik/KE/revfrom amongעַמָּם׃am/MAMtheir people

    And if a man shall lie with a woman having her sickness, and shall uncover her nakedness; he hath discovered her fountain, and she hath uncovered the fountain of her blood: and both of them shall be cut off from among their people.

19. 19

    וְעֶרְוַתve/er/VATand the nakedness ofאֲחוֹתa/CHOTthe sister ofאִמְּךָim/me/KHAyour motherוַאֲחוֹתva/a/CHOTand the sister ofאָבִיךָa/VI/khayour fatherלֹאlonotתְגַלֵּהte/gal/LEyou shall uncoverכִּיkiforאֶת־שְׁאֵרוֹet-she/e/ROhis near kinהֶעֱרָהhe/e/RAhe has laid bareעֲוֺנָםa/vo/NAMtheir iniquityיִשָּׂאוּ׃yis/SA/uthey shall bear

    And thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy mother's sister, nor of thy father's sister: for he uncovereth his near kin: they shall bear their iniquity.

20. 20

    וְאִישׁve/ISHand a manאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoיִשְׁכַּבyish/KAVlies withאֶת־דֹּדָתוֹet-do/da/TOhis uncle's wifeעֶרְוַתer/VATthe nakedness ofדֹּדוֹdo/DOhis uncleגִּלָּהgil/LAhe has uncoveredחֶטְאָםchet/AMtheir sinיִשָּׂאוּyis/SA/uthey shall bearעֲרִירִיםa/ri/RIMchildlessיָמֻתוּ׃ya/MU/tuthey shall die

    And if a man shall lie with his uncle's wife, he hath uncovered his uncle's nakedness: they shall bear their sin; they shall die childless.

21. 21

    וְאִישׁve/ISHand a manאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoיִקַּחyik/KACHtakesאֶת־אֵשֶׁתet-E/shetthe wife ofאָחִיוa/CHIVhis brotherנִדָּהnid/DAan impurityהִואhivit isעֶרְוַתer/VATthe nakedness ofאָחִיוa/CHIVhis brotherגִּלָּהgil/LAhe has uncoveredעֲרִירִיםa/ri/RIMchildlessיִהְיוּ׃yih/YUthey shall be

    And if a man shall take his brother's wife, it is an unclean thing: he hath uncovered his brother's nakedness; they shall be childless.

22. 22

    וּשְׁמַרְתֶּםu/she/mar/TEMand you shall keepאֶת־כׇּל־חֻקֹּתַיet-kol-chuk/ko/TAYall my statutesוְאֶת־כׇּל־מִשְׁפָּטַיve/ET-kol-mish/pa/TAYand all my judgmentsוַעֲשִׂיתֶםva/a/si/TEMand doאֹתָםo/TAMthemוְלֹא־תָקִיאve/LO-ta/KIthat not vomit outאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe landאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichאֲנִיa/NIIמֵבִיאme/VIam bringingאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouשָׁמָּהSHAM/mathereלָשֶׁבֶתla/SHE/vetto dwellבָּהּ׃bain it

    Ye shall therefore keep all my statutes, and all my judgments, and do them: that the land, whither I bring you to dwell therein, spue you not out.

23. 23

    וְלֹאve/LOand you shall notתֵלְכוּtel/KHUwalkבְּחֻקֹּתbe/chuk/KOTin the customs ofהַגּוֹיhag/GOYthe nationאֲשֶׁר־אֲנִיa/SHER-a/NIwhich Iמְשַׁלֵּחַme/shal/LE/acham casting outמִפְּנֵיכֶםmip/pe/ne/KHEMbefore youכִּיkiforאֶת־כׇּל־אֵלֶּהet-kol-EL/leall theseעָשׂוּa/SUthey didוָאָקֻץva/a/KUTSand therefore I abhorredבָּם׃bamthem

    And ye shall not walk in the manners of the nation, which I cast out before you: for they committed all these things, and therefore I abhorred them.

24. 24

    וָאֹמַרva/o/MARand I saidלָכֶםla/KHEMto youאַתֶּםat/TEMyouתִּירְשׁוּti/re/SHUshall possessאֶת־אַדְמָתָםet-ad/ma/TAMtheir landוַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iאֶתְּנֶנָּהet/te/NEN/nawill give itלָכֶםla/KHEMto youלָרֶשֶׁתla/RE/shetto possessאֹתָהּo/TAitאֶרֶץE/retsa landזָבַתza/VATflowing withחָלָבcha/LAVmilkוּדְבָשׁu/de/VASHand honeyאֲנִיa/NII amיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶםe/lo/he/KHEMyour Godאֲשֶׁר־הִבְדַּלְתִּיa/SHER-hiv/DAL/tiwho have separatedאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouמִן־הָעַמִּים׃min-ha/am/MIMfrom the peoples

    But I have said unto you, Ye shall inherit their land, and I will give it unto you to possess it, a land that floweth with milk and honey: I am the LORD your God, which have separated you from other people.

25. 25

    וְהִבְדַּלְתֶּםve/hiv/dal/TEMyou shall therefore distinguishבֵּין־הַבְּהֵמָהben-hab/be/he/MAbetween the beastהַטְּהֹרָהhat/te/ho/RAcleanלַטְּמֵאָהlat/te/me/Aand uncleanוּבֵין־הָעוֹףu/VEN-ha/OFand between the birdהַטָּמֵאhat/ta/MEuncleanלַטָּהֹרlat/ta/HORand cleanוְלֹא־תְשַׁקְּצוּve/LO-te/shak/ke/TSUand you shall not make detestableאֶת־נַפְשֹׁתֵיכֶםet-naf/sho/te/KHEMyour soulsבַּבְּהֵמָהbab/be/he/MAby beastוּבָעוֹףu/va/OFor by birdוּבְכֹלu/ve/KHOLor by anythingאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatתִּרְמֹשׂtir/MOScreeps onהָאֲדָמָהha/a/da/MAthe groundאֲשֶׁר־הִבְדַּלְתִּיa/SHER-hiv/DAL/tiwhich I have separatedלָכֶםla/KHEMfor youלְטַמֵּא׃le/tam/MEas unclean

    Ye shall therefore put difference between clean beasts and unclean, and between unclean fowls and clean: and ye shall not make your souls abominable by beast, or by fowl, or by any manner of living thing that creepeth on the ground, which I have separated from you as unclean.

26. 26

    וִהְיִיתֶםvih/yi/TEMand you shall beלִיlito meקְדֹשִׁיםke/do/SHIMholyכִּיkiforקָדוֹשׁka/DOSHholyאֲנִיa/NIam IיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוָאַבְדִּלva/av/DILand I have separatedאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouמִן־הָעַמִּיםmin-ha/am/MIMfrom the peoplesלִהְיוֹתlih/YOTthat you should beלִי׃lito me

    And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the LORD am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine.

27. 27

    וְאִישׁve/ISHand a manאוֹ־אִשָּׁהo-ish/SHAor a womanכִּי־יִהְיֶהki-yih/YEwhen there isבָהֶםva/HEMin themאוֹבova mediumאוֹoorיִדְּעֹנִיyid/de/o/NIa wizardמוֹתmotdieיוּמָתוּyu/MA/tuthey shall be put to deathבָּאֶבֶןba/E/venwith stonesיִרְגְּמוּyir/ge/MUthey shall stoneאֹתָםo/TAMthemדְּמֵיהֶםde/me/HEMtheir bloodבָּם׃bamis upon them

    A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones: their blood shall be upon them.
