   And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

2. 2

   Speak unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say unto them, Ye shall be holy: for I the LORD your God am holy.

   Ye shall fear every man his mother, and his father, and keep my sabbaths: I am the LORD your God.

   אַל־תִּפְנוּal-tif/NUdo not turnאֶל־הָאֱלִילִםel-ha/e/li/LIMto idolsוֵאלֹהֵיve/lo/HEand gods ofמַסֵּכָהmas/se/KHAmolten metalלֹאlonotתַעֲשׂוּta/a/SUyou shall makeלָכֶםla/KHEMfor yourselvesאֲנִיa/NII amיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶם׃e/lo/he/KHEMyour God

   Turn ye not unto idols, nor make to yourselves molten gods: I am the LORD your God.

   וְכִיve/KHIand whenתִזְבְּחוּtiz/be/CHUyou offerזֶבַחZE/vacha sacrifice ofשְׁלָמִיםshe/la/MIMpeace offeringsלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaito the LORDלִרְצֹנְכֶםlir/tson/KHEMfor your acceptanceתִּזְבָּחֻהוּ׃tiz/ba/CHU/huyou shall offer it

   And if ye offer a sacrifice of peace offerings unto the LORD, ye shall offer it at your own will.

6. 6

   בְּיוֹםbe/YOMon the day ofזִבְחֲכֶםziv/cha/KHEMyour sacrificeיֵאָכֵלye/a/KHELit shall be eatenוּמִמׇּחֳרָתu/mim/mo/cho/RATand on the next dayוְהַנּוֹתָרve/han/no/TARand what remainsעַד־יוֹםad-yomuntil the dayהַשְּׁלִישִׁיhash/she/li/SHIthe thirdבָּאֵשׁba/ESHby fireיִשָּׂרֵף׃yis/sa/REFit shall be burned

   It shall be eaten the same day ye offer it, and on the morrow: and if ought remain until the third day, it shall be burnt in the fire.

   וְאִםve/IMand ifהֵאָכֹלhe/a/KHOLeatenיֵאָכֵלye/a/KHELbe eatenבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMon the dayהַשְּׁלִישִׁיhash/she/li/SHIthe thirdפִּגּוּלpig/GULa foul thingהוּאhuit isלֹאlonotיֵרָצֶה׃ye/ra/TSEit shall be accepted

   And if it be eaten at all on the third day, it is abominable; it shall not be accepted.

   וְאֹכְלָיוve/okh/LAYVand whoever eats itעֲוֺנוֹa/vo/NOhis iniquityיִשָּׂאyis/SAshall bearכִּי־אֶת־קֹדֶשׁki-et-KO/deshbecause the holy thing ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDחִלֵּלchil/LELhe has profanedוְנִכְרְתָהve/nikh/re/TAand shall be cut offהַנֶּפֶשׁhan/NE/feshthe soulהַהִואha/HIVthatמֵעַמֶּיהָ׃me/am/ME/hafrom its people

   Therefore every one that eateth it shall bear his iniquity, because he hath profaned the hallowed thing of the LORD: and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.

   וּבְקֻצְרְכֶםu/ve/kuts/re/KHEMand when you harvestאֶת־קְצִירet-ke/TSIRthe harvest ofאַרְצְכֶםar/tse/KHEMyour landלֹאlonotתְכַלֶּהte/khal/LEyou shall wholly reapפְּאַתpe/ATthe corner ofשָׂדְךָsa/de/KHAyour fieldלִקְצֹרlik/TSORto reapוְלֶקֶטve/LE/ketand the gleanings ofקְצִירְךָke/tsi/re/KHAyour harvestלֹאlonotתְלַקֵּט׃te/lak/KETyou shall gather

   And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not wholly reap the corners of thy field, neither shalt thou gather the gleanings of thy harvest.

    וְכַרְמְךָve/khar/me/KHAand your vineyardלֹאlonotתְעוֹלֵלte/o/LELyou shall gleanוּפֶרֶטu/FE/retand the fallen grapes ofכַּרְמְךָkar/me/KHAyour vineyardלֹאlonotתְלַקֵּטte/lak/KETyou shall gatherלֶעָנִיle/a/NIfor the poorוְלַגֵּרve/lag/GERand for the strangerתַּעֲזֹבta/a/ZOVyou shall leaveאֹתָםo/TAMthemאֲנִיa/NII amיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶם׃e/lo/he/KHEMyour God

    And thou shalt not glean thy vineyard, neither shalt thou gather every grape of thy vineyard; thou shalt leave them for the poor and stranger: I am the LORD your God.

11. 11

    לֹאlonotתִּגְנֹבוּtig/NO/vuyou shall stealוְלֹא־תְכַחֲשׁוּve/LO-te/kha/cha/SHUand you shall not deal falselyוְלֹא־תְשַׁקְּרוּve/LO-te/shak/ke/RUand you shall not lieאִישׁisha manבַּעֲמִיתוֹ׃ba/a/mi/TOto his neighbor

    Ye shall not steal, neither deal falsely, neither lie one to another.

12. 12

    וְלֹא־תִשָּׁבְעוּve/LO-tish/sha/ve/Uand you shall not swearבִשְׁמִיvish/MIby my nameלַשָּׁקֶרlash/SHA/kerfalselyוְחִלַּלְתָּve/chil/lal/TAand so profaneאֶת־שֵׁםet-shemthe name ofאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godאֲנִיa/NII amיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    And ye shall not swear by my name falsely, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the LORD.

13. 13

    לֹא־תַעֲשֹׁקlo-ta/a/SHOKyou shall not oppressאֶת־רֵעֲךָet-re/a/KHAyour neighborוְלֹאve/LOnorתִגְזֹלtig/ZOLyou shall robלֹא־תָלִיןlo-ta/LINshall not remain all nightפְּעֻלַּתpe/ul/LATthe wages ofשָׂכִירsa/KHIRa hired manאִתְּךָit/te/KHAwith youעַד־בֹּקֶר׃ad-BO/keruntil morning

    Thou shalt not defraud thy neighbour, neither rob him: the wages of him that is hired shall not abide with thee all night until the morning.

    לֹא־תְקַלֵּלlo-te/kal/LELyou shall not curseחֵרֵשׁche/RESHthe deafוְלִפְנֵיve/lif/NEand beforeעִוֵּרiv/VERthe blindלֹאlonotתִתֵּןtit/TENyou shall putמִכְשֹׁלmikh/SHOLa stumbling blockוְיָרֵאתָve/ya/RE/tabut you shall fearמֵּאֱלֹהֶיךָme/e/lo/HE/khayour Godאֲנִיa/NII amיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    Thou shalt not curse the deaf, nor put a stumblingblock before the blind, but shalt fear thy God: I am the LORD.

15. 15

    לֹא־תַעֲשׂוּlo-ta/a/SUyou shall do noעָוֶלA/velunrighteousnessבַּמִּשְׁפָּטbam/mish/PATin judgmentלֹא־תִשָּׂאlo-tis/SAyou shall not respectפְנֵי־דָלfe/NE-dalthe person of the poorוְלֹאve/LOnorתֶהְדַּרteh/DARhonorפְּנֵיpe/NEthe person ofגָדוֹלga/DOLthe greatבְּצֶדֶקbe/TSE/dekin righteousnessתִּשְׁפֹּטtish/POTyou shall judgeעֲמִיתֶךָ׃a/mi/TE/khayour neighbor

    Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honour the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour.

16. 16

    לֹא־תֵלֵךְlo-te/LEKHyou shall not goרָכִילra/KHILas a talebearerבְּעַמֶּיךָbe/am/ME/khaamong your peopleלֹאlonorתַעֲמֹדta/a/MODshall you standעַל־דַּםal-damagainst the blood ofרֵעֶךָre/E/khayour neighborאֲנִיa/NII amיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people: neither shalt thou stand against the blood of thy neighbour: I am the LORD.

17. 17

    לֹא־תִשְׂנָאlo-tis/NAyou shall not hateאֶת־אָחִיךָet-a/CHI/khayour brotherבִּלְבָבֶךָbil/va/VE/khain your heartהוֹכֵחַho/KHE/achrebukeתּוֹכִיחַto/KHI/achyou shall rebukeאֶת־עֲמִיתֶךָet-a/mi/TE/khayour neighborוְלֹא־תִשָּׂאve/LO-tis/SAand not bearעָלָיוa/LAYVbecause of himחֵטְא׃chetsin

    Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him.

18. 18

    לֹא־תִקֹּםlo-tik/KOMyou shall not take vengeanceוְלֹא־תִטֹּרve/LO-tit/TORnor bear a grudgeאֶת־בְּנֵיet-be/NEagainst the children ofעַמֶּךָam/ME/khayour peopleוְאָהַבְתָּve/a/hav/TAbut you shall loveלְרֵעֲךָle/re/a/KHAyour neighborכָּמוֹךָka/MO/khaas yourselfאֲנִיa/NII amיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.

19. 19

    אֶת־חֻקֹּתַיet-chuk/ko/TAYmy statutesתִּשְׁמֹרוּtish/MO/ruyou shall keepבְּהֶמְתְּךָbe/hem/te/KHAyour livestockלֹא־תַרְבִּיעַlo-tar/BI/ayou shall not let breedכִּלְאַיִםkil/A/yimwith a different kindשָׂדְךָsa/de/KHAyour fieldלֹא־תִזְרַעlo-tiz/RAyou shall not sowכִּלְאָיִםkil/A/yimwith mixed seedוּבֶגֶדu/VE/gedand a garmentכִּלְאַיִםkil/A/yimof two kindsשַׁעַטְנֵזsha/at/NEZof mixed materialלֹאlonotיַעֲלֶהya/a/LEshall comeעָלֶיךָ׃a/LE/khaupon you

    Ye shall keep my statutes. Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with a diverse kind: thou shalt not sow thy field with mingled seed: neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woollen come upon thee.

20. 20

    וְאִישׁve/ISHand a manכִּי־יִשְׁכַּבki-yish/KAVwhen liesאֶת־אִשָּׁהet-ish/SHAwith a womanשִׁכְבַת־זֶרַעshikh/VAT-ZE/raan emission of semenוְהִואve/HIVand she isשִׁפְחָהshif/CHAa slave womanנֶחֱרֶפֶתne/che/RE/fetbetrothedלְאִישׁle/ISHto a manוְהׇפְדֵּהve/hof/DEand ransomedלֹאlonotנִפְדָּתָהnif/DA/tashe has been ransomedאוֹoorחֻפְשָׁהֿchuf/SHAfreedomלֹאlonotנִתַּן־לָהּnit/TAN-lahas been given herבִּקֹּרֶתbik/KO/retan inquiryתִּהְיֶהtih/YEthere shall beלֹאlonotיוּמְתוּyum/TUthey shall be put to deathכִּי־לֹאki-lobecause notחֻפָּשָׁה׃chup/PA/shashe was freed

    And whosoever lieth carnally with a woman, that is a bondmaid, betrothed to an husband, and not at all redeemed, nor freedom given her; she shall be scourged; they shall not be put to death, because she was not free.

21. 21

    וְהֵבִיאve/he/VIand he shall bringאֶת־אֲשָׁמוֹet-a/sha/MOhis guilt offeringלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaito the LORDאֶל־פֶּתַחel-PE/tachto the door ofאֹהֶלO/helthe tent ofמוֹעֵדmo/EDmeetingאֵילela ramאָשָׁם׃a/SHAMfor a guilt offering

    And he shall bring his trespass offering unto the LORD, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, even a ram for a trespass offering.

22. 22

    וְכִפֶּרve/khip/PERand he shall make atonementעָלָיוa/LAYVfor himהַכֹּהֵןhak/ko/HENthe priestבְּאֵילbe/ELwith the ram ofהָאָשָׁםha/a/SHAMthe guilt offeringלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDעַל־חַטָּאתוֹal-chat/ta/TOfor his sinאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichחָטָאcha/TAhe has sinnedוְנִסְלַחve/nis/LACHand it shall be forgivenלוֹlohimמֵחַטָּאתוֹme/chat/ta/TOfor his sinאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichחָטָא׃cha/TAhe has sinned

    And the priest shall make an atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering before the LORD for his sin which he hath done: and the sin which he hath done shall be forgiven him.

23. 23

    וְכִי־תָבֹאוּve/KHI-ta/VO/uand when you comeאֶל־הָאָרֶץel-ha/A/retsinto the landוּנְטַעְתֶּםu/ne/ta/TEMand have plantedכׇּל־עֵץkol-etsall kinds of treesמַאֲכָלma/a/KHALfor foodוַעֲרַלְתֶּםva/a/ral/TEMthen you shall count as uncircumcisedעׇרְלָתוֹor/la/TOits foreskinאֶת־פִּרְיוֹet-pir/YOits fruitשָׁלֹשׁsha/LOSHthreeשָׁנִיםsha/NIMyearsיִהְיֶהyih/YEit shall beלָכֶםla/KHEMto youעֲרֵלִיםa/re/LIMuncircumcisedלֹאlonotיֵאָכֵל׃ye/a/KHELshall be eaten

    And when ye shall come into the land, and shall have planted all manner of trees for food, then ye shall count the fruit thereof as uncircumcised: three years shall it be as uncircumcised unto you: it shall not be eaten of.

24. 24

    וּבַשָּׁנָהu/vash/sha/NAand in the yearהָרְבִיעִתha/re/vi/ITthe fourthיִהְיֶהyih/YEshall beכׇּל־פִּרְיוֹkol-pir/YOall its fruitקֹדֶשׁKO/deshholyהִלּוּלִיםhil/lu/LIMfor praiseלַיהֹוָה׃la-Adonaito the LORD

    But in the fourth year all the fruit thereof shall be holy to praise the LORD withal.

25. 25

    וּבַשָּׁנָהu/vash/sha/NAand in the yearהַחֲמִישִׁתha/cha/mi/SHITthe fifthתֹּאכְלוּto/khe/LUyou shall eatאֶת־פִּרְיוֹet-pir/YOits fruitלְהוֹסִיףle/ho/SIFthat may increaseלָכֶםla/KHEMto youתְּבוּאָתוֹte/vu/a/TOits yieldאֲנִיa/NII amיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶם׃e/lo/he/KHEMyour God

    And in the fifth year shall ye eat of the fruit thereof, that it may yield unto you the increase thereof: I am the LORD your God.

26. 26

    לֹאlonotתֹאכְלוּto/khe/LUyou shall eatעַל־הַדָּםal-had/DAMwith the bloodלֹאlonotתְנַחֲשׁוּte/na/cha/SHUyou shall practice divinationוְלֹאve/LOand notתְעוֹנֵנוּ׃te/o/NE/nuyou shall practice soothsaying

    Ye shall not eat any thing with the blood: neither shall ye use enchantment, nor observe times.

27. 27

    לֹאlonotתַקִּפוּtak/KI/fuyou shall round offפְּאַתpe/ATthe corner ofרֹאשְׁכֶםro/she/KHEMyour headוְלֹאve/LOand notתַשְׁחִיתtash/CHITyou shall marאֵת־פְּאַתet-pe/ATthe corner ofזְקָנֶךָ׃ze/ka/NE/khayour beard

    Ye shall not round the corners of your heads, neither shalt thou mar the corners of thy beard.

28. 28

    וְשֶׂרֶטve/SE/retand cuttingsלָנֶפֶשׁla/NE/feshfor the deadלֹאlonotתִתְּנוּtit/te/NUyou shall putבִּבְשַׂרְכֶםbiv/sar/KHEMin your fleshוּכְתֹבֶתu/khe/TO/vetand writing ofקַעֲקַעka/a/KAmarksלֹאlonotתִתְּנוּtit/te/NUyou shall putבָּכֶםba/KHEMupon youאֲנִיa/NII amיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD.

29. 29

    אַל־תְּחַלֵּלal-te/chal/LELdo not profaneאֶת־בִּתְּךָet-bit/te/KHAyour daughterלְהַזְנוֹתָהּle/haz/no/TAto make her a harlotוְלֹא־תִזְנֶהve/LO-tiz/NElest fall to whoredomהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe landוּמָלְאָהu/ma/le/Aand become full ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe landזִמָּה׃zim/MAlewdness

    Do not prostitute thy daughter, to cause her to be a whore; lest the land fall to whoredom, and the land become full of wickedness.

30. 30

    אֶת־שַׁבְּתֹתַיet-shab/be/to/TAYmy sabbathsתִּשְׁמֹרוּtish/MO/ruyou shall keepוּמִקְדָּשִׁיu/mik/da/SHIand my sanctuaryתִּירָאוּti/RA/uyou shall reverenceאֲנִיa/NII amיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the LORD.

31. 31

    אַל־תִּפְנוּal-tif/NUdo not turnאֶל־הָאֹבֹתel-ha/o/VOTto the mediumsוְאֶל־הַיִּדְּעֹנִיםve/EL-hay/yid/de/o/NIMand to the wizardsאַל־תְּבַקְשׁוּal-te/vak/SHUdo not seekלְטׇמְאָהle/tom/Ato be defiledבָהֶםva/HEMby themאֲנִיa/NII amיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶם׃e/lo/he/KHEMyour God

    Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God.

32. 32

    מִפְּנֵיmip/pe/NEbeforeשֵׂיבָהse/VAthe gray headתָּקוּםta/KUMyou shall rise upוְהָדַרְתָּve/ha/dar/TAand you shall honorפְּנֵיpe/NEthe face ofזָקֵןza/KENthe old manוְיָרֵאתָve/ya/RE/tabut you shall fearמֵּאֱלֹהֶיךָme/e/lo/HE/khayour Godאֲנִיa/NII amיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    Thou shalt rise up before the hoary head, and honour the face of the old man, and fear thy God: I am the LORD.

33. 33

    וְכִי־יָגוּרve/KHI-ya/GURand if sojournsאִתְּךָit/te/KHAwith youגֵּרgera strangerבְּאַרְצְכֶםbe/ar/tse/KHEMin your landלֹאlonotתוֹנוּto/NUyou shall wrongאֹתוֹ׃o/TOhim

    And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not vex him.

34. 34

    כְּאֶזְרָחke/ez/RACHas the nativeמִכֶּםmik/KEMamong youיִהְיֶהyih/YEshall beלָכֶםla/KHEMto youהַגֵּרhag/GERthe strangerהַגָּרhag/GARwho sojournsאִתְּכֶםit/te/KHEMwith youוְאָהַבְתָּve/a/hav/TAand you shall loveלוֹlohimכָּמוֹךָka/MO/khaas yourselfכִּי־גֵרִיםki-ge/RIMfor strangersהֱיִיתֶםhe/yi/TEMyou wereבְּאֶרֶץbe/E/retsin the land ofמִצְרָיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptאֲנִיa/NII amיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶם׃e/lo/he/KHEMyour God

    But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.

35. 35

    לֹא־תַעֲשׂוּlo-ta/a/SUyou shall do noעָוֶלA/velunrighteousnessבַּמִּשְׁפָּטbam/mish/PATin judgmentבַּמִּדָּהbam/mid/DAin the measurementבַּמִּשְׁקָלbam/mish/KALin weightוּבַמְּשׂוּרָה׃u/vam/me/su/RAor in quantity

    Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in meteyard, in weight, or in measure.

36. 36

    מֹאזְנֵיmo/ze/NEbalancesצֶדֶקTSE/dekjustאַבְנֵי־צֶדֶקav/NE-TSE/dekjust weightsאֵיפַתe/FATan ephahצֶדֶקTSE/dekjustוְהִיןve/HINand a hinצֶדֶקTSE/dekjustיִהְיֶהyih/YEshall beלָכֶםla/KHEMto youאֲנִיa/NII amיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶםe/lo/he/KHEMyour Godאֲשֶׁר־הוֹצֵאתִיa/SHER-ho/TSE/tiwho brought outאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouמֵאֶרֶץme/E/retsout of the land ofמִצְרָיִם׃Mits/RA/yimEgypt

    Just balances, just weights, a just ephah, and a just hin, shall ye have: I am the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt.

37. 37

    וּשְׁמַרְתֶּםu/she/mar/TEMand you shall keepאֶת־כׇּל־חֻקֹּתַיet-kol-chuk/ko/TAYall my statutesוְאֶת־כׇּל־מִשְׁפָּטַיve/ET-kol-mish/pa/TAYand all my judgmentsוַעֲשִׂיתֶםva/a/si/TEMand doאֹתָםo/TAMthemאֲנִיa/NII amיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    Therefore shall ye observe all my statutes, and all my judgments, and do them: I am the LORD.
