   וַיְדַבֵּרand spokeיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֶל־מֹשֶׁהto Mosesלֵּאמֹר׃saying

   And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

2. 2

   דַּבֵּרspeakאֶל־כׇּל־עֲדַתto all congregation ofבְּנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵלsons of Israelוְאָמַרְתָּand sayאֲלֵהֶםunto themקְדֹשִׁיםholyתִּהְיוּyou shall beכִּיforקָדוֹשׁholyאֲנִיIיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶם׃your God

   Speak unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say unto them, Ye shall be holy: for I the LORD your God am holy.

   אִישׁeachאִמּוֹhis motherוְאָבִיוand his fatherתִּירָאוּyou fearוְאֶת־שַׁבְּתֹתַיand my sabbathsתִּשְׁמֹרוּyou will observeאֲנִיIיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶם׃your God

   Ye shall fear every man his mother, and his father, and keep my sabbaths: I am the LORD your God.

4. 4

   אַל־תִּפְנוּdo not turnאֶל־הָאֱלִילִםat the worthless idolsוֵאלֹהֵיand gods ofמַסֵּכָהmolten metalלֹאnotתַעֲשׂוּyou shall doלָכֶםto youאֲנִיIיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶם׃your God

   Turn ye not unto idols, nor make to yourselves molten gods: I am the LORD your God.

5. 5

   וְכִיand whenתִזְבְּחוּyou will sacrificeזֶבַחsacrificeשְׁלָמִיםpeace offeringsלַיהֹוָהto the LORDלִרְצֹנְכֶםfor your acceptanceתִּזְבָּחֻהוּ׃you will sacrifice it

   And if ye offer a sacrifice of peace offerings unto the LORD, ye shall offer it at your own will.

6. 6

   בְּיוֹםin the day ofזִבְחֲכֶםyour sacrificeיֵאָכֵלis eatenוּמִמׇּחֳרָתand from the next dayוְהַנּוֹתָרand the remainingעַד־יוֹםuntil the day ofהַשְּׁלִישִׁיthe thirdבָּאֵשׁby fireיִשָּׂרֵף׃it will be burned

   It shall be eaten the same day ye offer it, and on the morrow: and if ought remain until the third day, it shall be burnt in the fire.

   וְאִםand ifהֵאָכֹלat allיֵאָכֵלis eatenבַּיּוֹםin the dayהַשְּׁלִישִׁיthe thirdפִּגּוּלunclean meatהוּאitלֹאnotיֵרָצֶה׃it will be accepted

   And if it be eaten at all on the third day, it is abominable; it shall not be accepted.

8. 8

   וְאֹכְלָיוand those who eat itעֲוֺנוֹhis iniquityיִשָּׂאhe shall bearכִּי־אֶת־קֹדֶשׁbecause holyיְהֹוָהthe LORDחִלֵּלhe has profanedוְנִכְרְתָהand shall be cut offהַנֶּפֶשׁthe soulהַהִואthatמֵעַמֶּיהָ׃from her people

   Therefore every one that eateth it shall bear his iniquity, because he hath profaned the hallowed thing of the LORD: and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.

9. 9

   וּבְקֻצְרְכֶםand when you harvestאֶת־קְצִירthe harvest ofאַרְצְכֶםyour landלֹאnotתְכַלֶּהyou will finishפְּאַתthe corner ofשָׂדְךָyour fieldלִקְצֹרto reapוְלֶקֶטand the remnant ofקְצִירְךָyour harvestלֹאnotתְלַקֵּט׃you will gather

   And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not wholly reap the corners of thy field, neither shalt thou gather the gleanings of thy harvest.

10. 10

    וְכַרְמְךָand your vineyardלֹאnotתְעוֹלֵלyou will gleanוּפֶרֶטand the fallen grapes ofכַּרְמְךָyour vineyardלֹאnotתְלַקֵּטyou will gatherלֶעָנִיfor the poor personוְלַגֵּרand to the sojournerתַּעֲזֹבyou shall leaveאֹתָםthemאֲנִיIיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶם׃your God

    And thou shalt not glean thy vineyard, neither shalt thou gather every grape of thy vineyard; thou shalt leave them for the poor and stranger: I am the LORD your God.

11. 11

    לֹאnotתִּגְנֹבוּyou will stealוְלֹא־תְכַחֲשׁוּand not you shall denyוְלֹא־תְשַׁקְּרוּand not you will deal falselyאִישׁeachבַּעֲמִיתוֹ׃his fellow citizen

    Ye shall not steal, neither deal falsely, neither lie one to another.

12. 12

    וְלֹא־תִשָּׁבְעוּand not you will swear an oathבִשְׁמִיby my nameלַשָּׁקֶרto the falsehoodוְחִלַּלְתָּand you will profaneאֶת־שֵׁםname ofאֱלֹהֶיךָyour GodאֲנִיIיְהֹוָה׃the LORD

    And ye shall not swear by my name falsely, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the LORD.

13. 13

    לֹא־תַעֲשֹׁקnot you will oppressאֶת־רֵעֲךָyour neighborוְלֹאand notתִגְזֹלyou shall robלֹא־תָלִיןnot it will remain overnightפְּעֻלַּתthe wages ofשָׂכִירa hired workerאִתְּךָwith youעַד־בֹּקֶר׃until morning

    Thou shalt not defraud thy neighbour, neither rob him: the wages of him that is hired shall not abide with thee all night until the morning.

14. 14

    לֹא־תְקַלֵּלnot you shall curseחֵרֵשׁthe deafוְלִפְנֵיand beforeעִוֵּרthe blindלֹאnotתִתֵּןyou shall putמִכְשֹׁלa stumbling blockוְיָרֵאתָand you will fearמֵּאֱלֹהֶיךָfrom your GodאֲנִיIיְהֹוָה׃the LORD

    Thou shalt not curse the deaf, nor put a stumblingblock before the blind, but shalt fear thy God: I am the LORD.

15. 15

    לֹא־תַעֲשׂוּnot you shall doעָוֶלiniquityבַּמִּשְׁפָּטin the judgmentלֹא־תִשָּׂאnot you shall lift upפְנֵי־דָלthe face of a poor personוְלֹאand notתֶהְדַּרyou shall show partialityפְּנֵיface ofגָדוֹלgreatבְּצֶדֶקwith righteousnessתִּשְׁפֹּטyou will judgeעֲמִיתֶךָ׃your fellow citizen

    Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honour the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour.

16. 16

    לֹא־תֵלֵךְnot you shall goרָכִילa slandererבְּעַמֶּיךָamong your peopleלֹאnotתַעֲמֹדyou shall standעַל־דַּםupon the blood ofאֲנִיIיְהֹוָה׃the LORD

    Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people: neither shalt thou stand against the blood of thy neighbour: I am the LORD.

17. 17

    לֹא־תִשְׂנָאnot you will hateאֶת־אָחִיךָyour brotherבִּלְבָבֶךָin your heartהוֹכֵחַsurelyתּוֹכִיחַyou will rebukeאֶת־עֲמִיתֶךָyour fellow citizenוְלֹא־תִשָּׂאand not you shall bearעָלָיוupon himחֵטְא׃sin

    Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him.

18. 18

    לֹא־תִקֹּםnot you will avenge yourselfוְלֹא־תִטֹּרand not you will keepאֶת־בְּנֵיthe sons ofעַמֶּךָyour peopleוְאָהַבְתָּand you shall loveלְרֵעֲךָyour neighborכָּמוֹךָlike youאֲנִיIיְהֹוָה׃the LORD

    Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.

19. 19

    אֶת־חֻקֹּתַיmy statutesתִּשְׁמֹרוּyou will observeבְּהֶמְתְּךָyour livestockלֹא־תַרְבִּיעַnot you will make lieכִּלְאַיִםtwo kindsשָׂדְךָyour fieldלֹא־תִזְרַעnot you will sowכִּלְאָיִםtwo kindsוּבֶגֶדand garmentכִּלְאַיִםtwo kindsשַׁעַטְנֵזmixed stuffלֹאnotיַעֲלֶהlet ascendעָלֶיךָ׃upon you

    Ye shall keep my statutes. Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with a diverse kind: thou shalt not sow thy field with mingled seed: neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woollen come upon thee.

20. 20

    וְאִישׁand a manכִּי־יִשְׁכַּבif he shall lie downאֶת־אִשָּׁהa womanשִׁכְבַת־זֶרַעan emission of semenוְהִואand sheשִׁפְחָהa maidservantנֶחֱרֶפֶתintendedלְאִישׁfor a manוְהׇפְדֵּהand certainlyלֹאnotנִפְדָּתָהshe had been releasedאוֹorחֻפְשָׁהֿshe had been given freedomלֹאnotנִתַּן־לָהּher given toבִּקֹּרֶתcompensationתִּהְיֶהshall beלֹאnotיוּמְתוּthey shall be put to deathכִּי־לֹאthat notחֻפָּשָׁה׃she had been given freedom

    And whosoever lieth carnally with a woman, that is a bondmaid, betrothed to an husband, and not at all redeemed, nor freedom given her; she shall be scourged; they shall not be put to death, because she was not free.

21. 21

    וְהֵבִיאand he will bringאֶת־אֲשָׁמוֹhis guilt offeringלַיהֹוָהto the LORDאֶל־פֶּתַחto the door ofאֹהֶלthe tent ofמוֹעֵדthe congregationאֵילa ramאָשָׁם׃a guilt offering

    And he shall bring his trespass offering unto the LORD, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, even a ram for a trespass offering.

22. 22

    וְכִפֶּרand he will make atonementעָלָיוupon himהַכֹּהֵןthe priestבְּאֵילby the ram ofהָאָשָׁםthe guilt offeringלִפְנֵיbeforeיְהֹוָהthe LORDעַל־חַטָּאתוֹupon his sinאֲשֶׁרwhichחָטָאhe has committedוְנִסְלַחand it will be forgivenלוֹto himמֵחַטָּאתוֹfrom his sinאֲשֶׁרwhichחָטָא׃he has committed

    And the priest shall make an atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering before the LORD for his sin which he hath done: and the sin which he hath done shall be forgiven him.

23. 23

    וְכִי־תָבֹאוּand when you comeאֶל־הָאָרֶץunto the landוּנְטַעְתֶּםand you will plantכׇּל־עֵץall a treeמַאֲכׇלfor foodוַעֲרַלְתֶּםand you will regard as uncircumcisedעׇרְלָתוֹhis foreskinאֶת־פִּרְיוֹhis fruitשָׁלֹשׁthreeשָׁנִיםyearsיִהְיֶהshall beלָכֶםto youעֲרֵלִיםuncircumcisedלֹאnotיֵאָכֵל׃is eaten

    And when ye shall come into the land, and shall have planted all manner of trees for food, then ye shall count the fruit thereof as uncircumcised: three years shall it be as uncircumcised unto you: it shall not be eaten of.

24. 24

    וּבַשָּׁנָהand in the yearהָרְבִיעִתthe fourthיִהְיֶהshall beכׇּל־פִּרְיוֹall his fruitקֹדֶשׁholyהִלּוּלִיםpraise offeringsלַיהֹוָה׃to the LORD

    But in the fourth year all the fruit thereof shall be holy to praise the LORD withal.

25. 25

    וּבַשָּׁנָהand in the yearהַחֲמִישִׁתthe fifthתֹּאכְלוּyou eatאֶת־פִּרְיוֹhis fruitלְהוֹסִיףto addלָכֶםto youתְּבוּאָתוֹits produceאֲנִיIיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶם׃your God

    And in the fifth year shall ye eat of the fruit thereof, that it may yield unto you the increase thereof: I am the LORD your God.

26. 26

    לֹאnotתֹאכְלוּyou shall eatעַל־הַדָּםupon the bloodלֹאnotתְנַחֲשׁוּyou will practice divinationוְלֹאand notתְעוֹנֵנוּ׃you will practice soothsaying

    Ye shall not eat any thing with the blood: neither shall ye use enchantment, nor observe times.

27. 27

    לֹאnotתַקִּפוּyou will round offפְּאַתthe corner ofרֹאשְׁכֶםyour headsוְלֹאand notתַשְׁחִיתyou will trimאֵת־פְּאַתthe side ofזְקָנֶךָ׃your beard

    Ye shall not round the corners of your heads, neither shalt thou mar the corners of thy beard.

28. 28

    וְשֶׂרֶטand a cutלָנֶפֶשׁfor a corpseלֹאnotתִתְּנוּyou shall putבִּבְשַׂרְכֶםin your fleshוּכְתֹבֶתand the inscription ofקַעֲקַעan incisionלֹאnotתִתְּנוּyou shall putבָּכֶםin youאֲנִיIיְהֹוָה׃the LORD

    Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD.

29. 29

    אַל־תְּחַלֵּלdo not profaneאֶת־בִּתְּךָyour daughterלְהַזְנוֹתָהּby her making prostitute herselfוְלֹא־תִזְנֶהand not it will prostitute itselfהָאָרֶץthe landוּמָלְאָהand is also full ofהָאָרֶץthe landזִמָּה׃wickedness

    Do not prostitute thy daughter, to cause her to be a whore; lest the land fall to whoredom, and the land become full of wickedness.

30. 30

    אֶת־שַׁבְּתֹתַיmy sabbathsתִּשְׁמֹרוּyou will observeוּמִקְדָּשִׁיand my sanctuaryתִּירָאוּyou fearאֲנִיIיְהֹוָה׃the LORD

    Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the LORD.

31. 31

    אַל־תִּפְנוּdo not turnאֶל־הָאֹבֹתto the necromancersוְאֶל־הַיִּדְּעֹנִיםand unto the wizardsאַל־תְּבַקְשׁוּdo not seekלְטׇמְאָהto become uncleanבָהֶםamong themאֲנִיIיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶם׃your God

    Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God.

32. 32

    מִפְּנֵיbecause ofשֵׂיבָהgray hairתָּקוּםyou shall riseוְהָדַרְתָּand you will honorפְּנֵיface ofזָקֵןoldוְיָרֵאתָand you will fearמֵּאֱלֹהֶיךָfrom your GodאֲנִיIיְהֹוָה׃the LORD

    Thou shalt rise up before the hoary head, and honour the face of the old man, and fear thy God: I am the LORD.

33. 33

    וְכִי־יָגוּרand when sojournsאִתְּךָwith youגֵּרa sojournerבְּאַרְצְכֶםin your landלֹאnotתוֹנוּyou shall wrongאֹתוֹ׃him

    And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not vex him.

34. 34

    כְּאֶזְרָחlike the native bornמִכֶּםfrom youיִהְיֶהshall beלָכֶםto youהַגֵּרthe sojournerהַגָּרthe one who sojournsאִתְּכֶםwith youוְאָהַבְתָּand you shall loveלוֹto himכָּמוֹךָlike youכִּי־גֵרִיםbecause sojournersהֱיִיתֶםyou have beenבְּאֶרֶץin the land ofמִצְרָיִםEgyptאֲנִיIיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶם׃your God

    But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.

35. 35

    לֹא־תַעֲשׂוּnot you shall doעָוֶלiniquityבַּמִּשְׁפָּטin the judgmentבַּמִּדָּהin the measurementבַּמִּשְׁקָלin the weightוּבַמְּשׂוּרָה׃and in the volume

    Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in meteyard, in weight, or in measure.

36. 36

    מֹאזְנֵיbalances ofצֶדֶקrighteousnessאַבְנֵי־צֶדֶקstones of righteousnessאֵיפַתan ephah ofצֶדֶקrighteousnessוְהִיןand a hin ofצֶדֶקrighteousnessיִהְיֶהshall beלָכֶםto youאֲנִיIיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶםyour Godאֲשֶׁר־הוֹצֵאתִיwhich I brought outאֶתְכֶםyouמֵאֶרֶץfrom the land ofמִצְרָיִם׃Egypt

    Just balances, just weights, a just ephah, and a just hin, shall ye have: I am the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt.

37. 37

    וּשְׁמַרְתֶּםand you shall keepאֶת־כׇּל־חֻקֹּתַיall my statutesוְאֶת־כׇּל־מִשְׁפָּטַיand all my judgmentsוַעֲשִׂיתֶםand you shall doאֹתָםthemאֲנִיIיְהֹוָה׃the LORD

    Therefore shall ye observe all my statutes, and all my judgments, and do them: I am the LORD.
