Leviticus 18 וַיִּקְרָא פרק י״ח

   וַיְדַבֵּרvay/dab/BERand spokeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־מֹשֶׁהel-Mo/SHEto Mosesלֵּאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

   And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

   דַּבֵּרdab/BERspeakאֶל־בְּנֵיel-be/NEto the children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelוְאָמַרְתָּve/a/mar/TAand sayאֲלֵהֶםa/le/HEMto themאֲנִיa/NII amיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶם׃e/lo/he/KHEMyour God

   Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, I am the LORD your God.

   כְּמַעֲשֵׂהke/ma/a/SEafter the doings ofאֶרֶץ־מִצְרַיִםE/rets-Mits/RA/yimthe land of Egyptאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhereיְשַׁבְתֶּם־בָּהּye/shav/TEM-bayou dweltלֹאlonotתַעֲשׂוּta/a/SUyou shall doוּכְמַעֲשֵׂהu/khe/ma/a/SEand after the doings ofאֶרֶץ־כְּנַעַןE/rets-Ke/NA/anthe land of Canaanאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhereאֲנִיa/NIIמֵבִיאme/VIam bringingאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouשָׁמָּהSHAM/mathereלֹאlonotתַעֲשׂוּta/a/SUyou shall doוּבְחֻקֹּתֵיהֶםu/ve/chuk/ko/te/HEMand in their ordinancesלֹאlonotתֵלֵכוּ׃te/LE/khuyou shall walk

   After the doings of the land of Egypt, wherein ye dwelt, shall ye not do: and after the doings of the land of Canaan, whither I bring you, shall ye not do: neither shall ye walk in their ordinances.

   אֶת־מִשְׁפָּטַיet-mish/pa/TAYmy judgmentsתַּעֲשׂוּta/a/SUyou shall doוְאֶת־חֻקֹּתַיve/ET-chuk/ko/TAYand my statutesתִּשְׁמְרוּtish/me/RUyou shall keepלָלֶכֶתla/LE/khetto walkבָּהֶםba/HEMin themאֲנִיa/NII amיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶם׃e/lo/he/KHEMyour God

   Ye shall do my judgments, and keep mine ordinances, to walk therein: I am the LORD your God.

   וּשְׁמַרְתֶּםu/she/mar/TEMand you shall keepאֶת־חֻקֹּתַיet-chuk/ko/TAYmy statutesוְאֶת־מִשְׁפָּטַיve/ET-mish/pa/TAYand my judgmentsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיַעֲשֶׂהya/a/SEif doesאֹתָםo/TAMthemהָאָדָםha/a/DAMa manוָחַיva/CHAYhe shall liveבָּהֶםba/HEMin themאֲנִיa/NII amיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

   Ye shall therefore keep my statutes, and my judgments: which if a man do, he shall live in them: I am the LORD.

   אִישׁishanyאִישׁishmanאֶל־כׇּל־שְׁאֵרel-kol-she/ERto any near kin ofבְּשָׂרוֹbe/sa/ROhis fleshלֹאlonotתִקְרְבוּtik/re/VUyou shall approachלְגַלּוֹתle/gal/LOTto uncoverעֶרְוָהer/VAnakednessאֲנִיa/NII amיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

   None of you shall approach to any that is near of kin to him, to uncover their nakedness: I am the LORD.

   עֶרְוַתer/VATthe nakedness ofאָבִיךָa/VI/khayour fatherוְעֶרְוַתve/er/VATand the nakedness ofאִמְּךָim/me/KHAyour motherלֹאlonotתְגַלֵּהte/gal/LEyou shall uncoverאִמְּךָim/me/KHAyour motherהִואhivshe isלֹאlonotתְגַלֶּהte/gal/LEyou shall uncoverעֶרְוָתָהּ׃er/va/TAher nakedness

   The nakedness of thy father, or the nakedness of thy mother, shalt thou not uncover: she is thy mother; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.

   עֶרְוַתer/VATthe nakedness ofאֵשֶׁת־אָבִיךָE/shet-a/VI/khayour father's wifeלֹאlonotתְגַלֵּהte/gal/LEyou shall uncoverעֶרְוַתer/VATthe nakedness ofאָבִיךָa/VI/khayour fatherהִוא׃hivit is

   The nakedness of thy father's wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy father's nakedness.

   עֶרְוַתer/VATthe nakedness ofאֲחוֹתְךָa/chot/KHAyour sisterבַת־אָבִיךָvat-a/VI/khathe daughter of your fatherאוֹoorבַת־אִמֶּךָvat-im/ME/khathe daughter of your motherמוֹלֶדֶתmo/LE/detborn atבַּיִתBA/yithomeאוֹoorמוֹלֶדֶתmo/LE/detbornחוּץchutsabroadלֹאlonotתְגַלֶּהte/gal/LEyou shall uncoverעֶרְוָתָן׃er/va/TANtheir nakedness

   The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy father, or daughter of thy mother, whether she be born at home, or born abroad, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover.

    עֶרְוַתer/VATthe nakedness ofבַּת־בִּנְךָbat-bin/KHAthe daughter of your sonאוֹoorבַת־בִּתְּךָvat-bit/te/KHAthe daughter of your daughterלֹאlonotתְגַלֶּהte/gal/LEyou shall uncoverעֶרְוָתָןer/va/TANtheir nakednessכִּיkiforעֶרְוָתְךָer/va/te/KHAyour own nakednessהֵנָּה׃HEN/nathey are

    The nakedness of thy son's daughter, or of thy daughter's daughter, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover: for theirs is thine own nakedness.

    עֶרְוַתer/VATthe nakedness ofבַּת־אֵשֶׁתbat-E/shetthe daughter of the wife ofאָבִיךָa/VI/khayour fatherמוֹלֶדֶתmo/LE/detbegotten ofאָבִיךָa/VI/khayour fatherאֲחוֹתְךָa/chot/KHAyour sisterהִואhivshe isלֹאlonotתְגַלֶּהte/gal/LEyou shall uncoverעֶרְוָתָהּ׃er/va/TAher nakedness

    The nakedness of thy father's wife's daughter, begotten of thy father, she is thy sister, thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.

    עֶרְוַתer/VATthe nakedness ofאֲחוֹת־אָבִיךָa/CHOT-a/VI/khathe sister of your fatherלֹאlonotתְגַלֵּהte/gal/LEyou shall uncoverשְׁאֵרshe/ERthe near kin ofאָבִיךָa/VI/khayour fatherהִוא׃hivshe is

    Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father's sister: she is thy father's near kinswoman.

13. 13

    עֶרְוַתer/VATthe nakedness ofאֲחוֹת־אִמְּךָa/CHOT-im/me/KHAthe sister of your motherלֹאlonotתְגַלֵּהte/gal/LEyou shall uncoverכִּי־שְׁאֵרki-she/ERfor the near kin ofאִמְּךָim/me/KHAyour motherהִוא׃hivshe is

    Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy mother's sister: for she is thy mother's near kinswoman.

14. 14

    עֶרְוַתer/VATthe nakedness ofאֲחִי־אָבִיךָa/CHI-a/VI/khathe brother of your fatherלֹאlonotתְגַלֵּהte/gal/LEyou shall uncoverאֶל־אִשְׁתּוֹel-ish/TOto his wifeלֹאlonotתִקְרָבtik/RAVyou shall approachדֹּדָתְךָdo/da/te/KHAyour auntהִוא׃hivshe is

    Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father's brother, thou shalt not approach to his wife: she is thine aunt.

15. 15

    עֶרְוַתer/VATthe nakedness ofכַּלָּתְךָkal/la/te/KHAyour daughter in lawלֹאlonotתְגַלֵּהte/gal/LEyou shall uncoverאֵשֶׁתE/shetthe wife ofבִּנְךָbin/KHAyour sonהִואhivshe isלֹאlonotתְגַלֶּהte/gal/LEyou shall uncoverעֶרְוָתָהּ׃er/va/TAher nakedness

    Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy daughter in law: she is thy son's wife; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.

16. 16

    עֶרְוַתer/VATthe nakedness ofאֵשֶׁת־אָחִיךָE/shet-a/CHI/khayour brother's wifeלֹאlonotתְגַלֵּהte/gal/LEyou shall uncoverעֶרְוַתer/VATthe nakedness ofאָחִיךָa/CHI/khayour brotherהִוא׃hivit is

    Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy brother's wife: it is thy brother's nakedness.

17. 17

    עֶרְוַתer/VATthe nakedness ofאִשָּׁהish/SHAa womanוּבִתָּהּu/vit/TAand her daughterלֹאlonotתְגַלֵּהte/gal/LEyou shall uncoverאֶת־בַּת־בְּנָהּet-bat-be/NAthe daughter of her sonוְאֶת־בַּת־בִּתָּהּve/ET-bat-bit/TAand the daughter of her daughterלֹאlonotתִקַּחtik/KACHyou shall takeלְגַלּוֹתle/gal/LOTto uncoverעֶרְוָתָהּer/va/TAher nakednessשַׁאֲרָהsha/a/RAnear kinswomenהֵנָּהHEN/nathey areזִמָּהzim/MAlewdnessהִוא׃hivit is

    Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter, neither shalt thou take her son's daughter, or her daughter's daughter, to uncover her nakedness; for they are her near kinswomen: it is wickedness.

18. 18

    וְאִשָּׁהve/ish/SHAand a womanאֶל־אֲחֹתָהּel-a/cho/TAwith her sisterלֹאlonotתִקָּחtik/KACHyou shall takeלִצְרֹרlits/RORto be a rivalלְגַלּוֹתle/gal/LOTto uncoverעֶרְוָתָהּer/va/TAher nakednessעָלֶיהָa/LE/habesides herבְּחַיֶּיהָ׃be/chay/YE/hain her lifetime

    Neither shalt thou take a wife to her sister, to vex her, to uncover her nakedness, beside the other in her life time.

19. 19

    וְאֶל־אִשָּׁהve/EL-ish/SHAand to a womanבְּנִדַּתbe/nid/DATin the separation ofטֻמְאָתָהּtum/a/TAher uncleannessלֹאlonotתִקְרַבtik/RAVyou shall approachלְגַלּוֹתle/gal/LOTto uncoverעֶרְוָתָהּ׃er/va/TAher nakedness

    Also thou shalt not approach unto a woman to uncover her nakedness, as long as she is put apart for her uncleanness.

20. 20

    וְאֶל־אֵשֶׁתve/EL-E/shetand with the wife ofעֲמִיתְךָa/mi/te/KHAyour neighborלֹא־תִתֵּןlo-tit/TENyou shall not giveשְׁכׇבְתְּךָshe/khov/te/KHAyour lyingלְזָרַעle/ZA/rafor seedלְטׇמְאָה־בָהּ׃le/tom/A-vato defile yourself with her

    Moreover thou shalt not lie carnally with thy neighbour's wife, to defile thyself with her.

21. 21

    וּמִזַּרְעֲךָu/miz/zar/a/KHAand of your offspringלֹא־תִתֵּןlo-tit/TENyou shall not giveלְהַעֲבִירle/ha/a/VIRto pass throughלַמֹּלֶךְlam/MO/lekhto Molechוְלֹאve/LOnorתְחַלֵּלte/chal/LELshall you profaneאֶת־שֵׁםet-shemthe name ofאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godאֲנִיa/NII amיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    And thou shalt not let any of thy seed pass through the fire to Molech, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the LORD.

22. 22

    וְאֶת־זָכָרve/ET-za/KHARand with a maleלֹאlonotתִשְׁכַּבtish/KAVyou shall lieמִשְׁכְּבֵיmish/ke/VEas one lies withאִשָּׁהish/SHAa womanתּוֹעֵבָהto/e/VAan abominationהִוא׃hivit is

    Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

23. 23

    וּבְכׇל־בְּהֵמָהu/ve/KHOL-be/he/MAand with any beastלֹא־תִתֵּןlo-tit/TENyou shall not giveשְׁכׇבְתְּךָshe/khov/te/KHAyour lyingלְטׇמְאָה־בָהּle/tom/A-vato defile yourself with itוְאִשָּׁהve/ish/SHAand a womanלֹא־תַעֲמֹדlo-ta/a/MODshall not standלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeבְהֵמָהve/he/MAan animalלְרִבְעָהּle/riv/Ato lie down with itתֶּבֶלTE/velperversionהוּא׃huit is

    Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion.

24. 24

    אַל־תִּטַּמְּאוּal-tit/tam/me/Udo not defile yourselvesבְּכׇל־אֵלֶּהbe/KHOL-EL/lein any of theseכִּיkiforבְכׇל־אֵלֶּהve/KHOL-EL/lein all theseנִטְמְאוּnit/me/Uare defiledהַגּוֹיִםhag/go/YIMthe nationsאֲשֶׁר־אֲנִיa/SHER-a/NIwhich Iמְשַׁלֵּחַme/shal/LE/acham casting outמִפְּנֵיכֶם׃mip/pe/ne/KHEMbefore you

    Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you:

25. 25

    וַתִּטְמָאvat/tit/MAand is defiledהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe landוָאֶפְקֹדva/ef/KODtherefore I visitעֲוֺנָהּa/vo/NAits iniquityעָלֶיהָa/LE/haupon itוַתָּקִאvat/ta/KIand vomits outהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe landאֶת־יֹשְׁבֶיהָ׃et-yosh/VE/haits inhabitants

    And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants.

26. 26

    וּשְׁמַרְתֶּםu/she/mar/TEMand you shall keepאַתֶּםat/TEMyouאֶת־חֻקֹּתַיet-chuk/ko/TAYmy statutesוְאֶת־מִשְׁפָּטַיve/ET-mish/pa/TAYand my judgmentsוְלֹאve/LOand notתַעֲשׂוּta/a/SUyou shall doמִכֹּלmik/KOLany ofהַתּוֹעֵבֹתhat/to/e/VOTthe abominationsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseהָאֶזְרָחha/ez/RACHthe nativeוְהַגֵּרve/hag/GERnor the strangerהַגָּרhag/GARwho sojournsבְּתוֹכְכֶם׃be/tokh/KHEMamong you

    Ye shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations; neither any of your own nation, nor any stranger that sojourneth among you:

27. 27

    כִּיkiforאֶת־כׇּל־הַתּוֹעֵבֹתet-kol-hat/to/e/VOTall the abominationsהָאֵלha/ELtheseעָשׂוּa/SUhave doneאַנְשֵׁי־הָאָרֶץan/SHE-ha/A/retsthe men of the landאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwho wereלִפְנֵיכֶםlif/ne/KHEMbefore youוַתִּטְמָאvat/tit/MAand is defiledהָאָרֶץ׃ha/A/retsthe land

    (For all these abominations have the men of the land done, which were before you, and the land is defiled;)

28. 28

    וְלֹא־תָקִיאve/LO-ta/KIthat not vomit outהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe landאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouבְּטַמַּאֲכֶםbe/tam/ma/a/KHEMwhen you defileאֹתָהּo/TAitכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasקָאָהka/Ait vomited outאֶת־הַגּוֹיet-hag/GOYthe nationאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat wasלִפְנֵיכֶם׃lif/ne/KHEMbefore you

    That the land spue not you out also, when ye defile it, as it spued out the nations that were before you.

29. 29

    כִּיkiforכׇּל־אֲשֶׁרkol-a/SHERwhoeverיַעֲשֶׂהya/a/SEdoesמִכֹּלmik/KOLany ofהַתּוֹעֵבֹתhat/to/e/VOTthe abominationsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseוְנִכְרְתוּve/nikh/re/TUeven shall be cut offהַנְּפָשׁוֹתhan/ne/fa/SHOTthe soulsהָעֹשֹׂתha/o/SOTthat do themמִקֶּרֶבmik/KE/revfrom amongעַמָּם׃am/MAMtheir people

    For whosoever shall commit any of these abominations, even the souls that commit them shall be cut off from among their people.

30. 30

    וּשְׁמַרְתֶּםu/she/mar/TEMand you shall keepאֶת־מִשְׁמַרְתִּיet-mish/mar/TImy chargeלְבִלְתִּיle/vil/TIthat notעֲשׂוֹתa/SOTdoמֵחֻקּוֹתme/chuk/KOTany of the customs ofהַתּוֹעֵבֹתhat/to/e/VOTthe abominationsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichנַעֲשׂוּna/a/SUwere doneלִפְנֵיכֶםlif/ne/KHEMbefore youוְלֹאve/LOand that notתִטַּמְּאוּtit/tam/me/Uyou defile yourselvesבָּהֶםba/HEMby themאֲנִיa/NII amיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶם׃e/lo/he/KHEMyour God

    Therefore shall ye keep mine ordinance, that ye commit not any one of these abominable customs, which were committed before you, and that ye defile not yourselves therein: I am the LORD your God.
