   וַיְדַבֵּרvay/dab/BERand spokeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־מֹשֶׁהel-Mo/SHEto Mosesאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterמוֹתmotthe death ofשְׁנֵיshe/NEtwoבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofאַהֲרֹןA/ha/RONAaronבְּקׇרְבָתָםbe/kor/va/TAMwhen they drew nearלִפְנֵי־יְהֹוָהlif/NE-Adonaibefore the LORDוַיָּמֻתוּ׃vay/ya/MU/tuand they died

   And the LORD spake unto Moses after the death of the two sons of Aaron, when they offered before the LORD, and died;

   And the LORD said unto Moses, Speak unto Aaron thy brother, that he come not at all times into the holy place within the vail before the mercy seat, which is upon the ark; that he die not: for I will appear in the cloud upon the mercy seat.

   בְּזֹאתbe/ZOTwith thisיָבֹאya/VOshall comeאַהֲרֹןA/ha/RONAaronאֶל־הַקֹּדֶשׁel-hak/KO/deshinto the holy placeבְּפַרbe/FARwith a bullבֶּן־בָּקָרben-ba/KARyoung of the herdלְחַטָּאתle/chat/TATfor a sin offeringוְאַיִלve/A/yiland a ramלְעֹלָה׃le/o/LAfor a burnt offering

   Thus shall Aaron come into the holy place: with a young bullock for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering.

   כְּתֹנֶת־בַּדke/TO/net-bada linen coatקֹדֶשׁKO/deshholyיִלְבָּשׁyil/BASHhe shall put onוּמִכְנְסֵי־בַדu/mikh/ne/SE-vadand linen breechesיִהְיוּyih/YUshall beעַל־בְּשָׂרוֹal-be/sa/ROupon his fleshוּבְאַבְנֵטu/ve/av/NETand with a sash ofבַּדbadlinenיַחְגֹּרyach/GORhe shall be girdedוּבְמִצְנֶפֶתu/ve/mits/NE/fetand with a turban ofבַּדbadlinenיִצְנֹףyits/NOFhe shall be attiredבִּגְדֵי־קֹדֶשׁbig/DE-KO/deshholy garmentsהֵםhemthey areוְרָחַץve/ra/CHATSand he shall batheבַּמַּיִםbam/MA/yimin waterאֶת־בְּשָׂרוֹet-be/sa/ROhis fleshוּלְבֵשָׁם׃u/le/ve/SHAMand so put them on

   He shall put on the holy linen coat, and he shall have the linen breeches upon his flesh, and shall be girded with a linen girdle, and with the linen mitre shall he be attired: these are holy garments; therefore shall he wash his flesh in water, and so put them on.

   וּמֵאֵתu/me/ETand fromעֲדַתa/DATthe congregation ofבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelיִקַּחyik/KACHhe shall takeשְׁנֵי־שְׂעִירֵיshe/NE-se/i/REtwo kids ofעִזִּיםiz/ZIMthe goatsלְחַטָּאתle/chat/TATfor a sin offeringוְאַיִלve/A/yiland a ramאֶחָדe/CHADoneלְעֹלָה׃le/o/LAfor a burnt offering

   And he shall take of the congregation of the children of Israel two kids of the goats for a sin offering, and one ram for a burnt offering.

6. 6

   וְהִקְרִיבve/hik/RIVand shall offerאַהֲרֹןA/ha/RONAaronאֶת־פַּרet-parthe bull ofהַחַטָּאתha/chat/TATthe sin offeringאֲשֶׁר־לוֹa/SHER-lowhich is for himselfוְכִפֶּרve/khip/PERand he shall make atonementבַּעֲדוֹba/a/DOfor himselfוּבְעַדu/ve/ADand forבֵּיתוֹ׃be/TOhis house

   And Aaron shall offer his bullock of the sin offering, which is for himself, and make an atonement for himself, and for his house.

   וְלָקַחve/la/KACHand he shall takeאֶת־שְׁנֵיet-she/NEthe twoהַשְּׂעִירִםhas/se/i/RIMgoatsוְהֶעֱמִידve/he/e/MIDand presentאֹתָםo/TAMthemלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDפֶּתַחPE/tachat the door ofאֹהֶלO/helthe tent ofמוֹעֵד׃mo/EDmeeting

   And he shall take the two goats, and present them before the LORD at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

8. 8

   וְנָתַןve/na/TANand shall castאַהֲרֹןA/ha/RONAaronעַל־שְׁנֵיal-she/NEupon the twoהַשְּׂעִירִםhas/se/i/RIMgoatsגֹּרָלוֹתgo/ra/LOTlotsגּוֹרָלgo/RALa lotאֶחָדe/CHADoneלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaito the LORDוְגוֹרָלve/go/RALand a lotאֶחָדe/CHADoneלַעֲזָאזֵל׃la/a/za/ZELfor the scapegoat

   And Aaron shall cast lots upon the two goats; one lot for the LORD, and the other lot for the scapegoat.

9. 9

   וְהִקְרִיבve/hik/RIVand shall offerאַהֲרֹןA/ha/RONAaronאֶת־הַשָּׂעִירet-has/sa/IRthe goatאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichעָלָהa/LAfellעָלָיוa/LAYVupon itהַגּוֹרָלhag/go/RALthe lotלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaito the LORDוְעָשָׂהוּve/a/SA/huand he shall offer itחַטָּאת׃chat/TATfor a sin offering

   And Aaron shall bring the goat upon which the LORD's lot fell, and offer him for a sin offering.

10. 10

    וְהַשָּׂעִירve/has/sa/IRand the goatאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichעָלָהa/LAfellעָלָיוa/LAYVupon itהַגּוֹרָלhag/go/RALthe lotלַעֲזָאזֵלla/a/za/ZELfor the scapegoatיׇעֳמַד־חַיyo/o/MAD-chayshall be presented aliveלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDלְכַפֵּרle/khap/PERto make atonementעָלָיוa/LAYVover itלְשַׁלַּחle/shal/LACHto send awayאֹתוֹo/TOitלַעֲזָאזֵלla/a/za/ZELfor the scapegoatהַמִּדְבָּרָה׃ham/mid/BA/rainto the wilderness

    But the goat, on which the lot fell to be the scapegoat, shall be presented alive before the LORD, to make an atonement with him, and to let him go for a scapegoat into the wilderness.

    וְהִקְרִיבve/hik/RIVand shall offerאַהֲרֹןA/ha/RONAaronאֶת־פַּרet-parthe bull ofהַחַטָּאתha/chat/TATthe sin offeringאֲשֶׁר־לוֹa/SHER-lowhich is for himselfוְכִפֶּרve/khip/PERand he shall make atonementבַּעֲדוֹba/a/DOfor himselfוּבְעַדu/ve/ADand forבֵּיתוֹbe/TOhis houseוְשָׁחַטve/sha/CHATand shall slaughterאֶת־פַּרet-parthe bull ofהַחַטָּאתha/chat/TATthe sin offeringאֲשֶׁר־לוֹ׃a/SHER-lowhich is for himself

    And Aaron shall bring the bullock of the sin offering, which is for himself, and shall make an atonement for himself, and for his house, and shall kill the bullock of the sin offering which is for himself:

12. 12

    וְלָקַחve/la/KACHand he shall takeמְלֹא־הַמַּחְתָּהme/LO-ham/mach/TAa censer full ofגַּחֲלֵי־אֵשׁga/cha/LE-eshcoals of fireמֵעַלme/ALfrom offהַמִּזְבֵּחַham/miz/BE/achthe altarמִלִּפְנֵיmil/lif/NEfrom beforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוּמְלֹאu/me/LOand fullחׇפְנָיוchof/NAYVhis handsקְטֹרֶתke/TO/retincenseסַמִּיםsam/MIMof sweet spicesדַּקָּהdak/KAbeaten smallוְהֵבִיאve/he/VIand he shall bring itמִבֵּיתmib/BETwithinלַפָּרֹכֶת׃lap/pa/RO/khetthe veil

    And he shall take a censer full of burning coals of fire from off the altar before the LORD, and his hands full of sweet incense beaten small, and bring it within the vail:

13. 13

    וְנָתַןve/na/TANand he shall putאֶת־הַקְּטֹרֶתet-hak/ke/TO/retthe incenseעַל־הָאֵשׁal-ha/ESHupon the fireלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוְכִסָּהve/khis/SAthat may coverעֲנַןa/NANthe cloud ofהַקְּטֹרֶתhak/ke/TO/retthe incenseאֶת־הַכַּפֹּרֶתet-hak/kap/PO/retthe mercy seatאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat isעַל־הָעֵדוּתal-ha/e/DUTupon the testimonyוְלֹאve/LOthat notיָמוּת׃ya/MUThe die

    And he shall put the incense upon the fire before the LORD, that the cloud of the incense may cover the mercy seat that is upon the testimony, that he die not:

14. 14

    וְלָקַחve/la/KACHand he shall takeמִדַּםmid/DAMof the blood ofהַפָּרhap/PARthe bullוְהִזָּהve/hiz/ZAand he shall sprinkleבְאֶצְבָּעוֹve/ets/ba/Owith his fingerעַל־פְּנֵיal-pe/NEon the front ofהַכַּפֹּרֶתhak/kap/PO/retthe mercy seatקֵדְמָהKED/maeastwardוְלִפְנֵיve/lif/NEand beforeהַכַּפֹּרֶתhak/kap/PO/retthe mercy seatיַזֶּהyaz/ZEhe shall sprinkleשֶׁבַע־פְּעָמִיםSHE/va-pe/a/MIMseven timesמִן־הַדָּםmin-had/DAMof the bloodבְּאֶצְבָּעוֹ׃be/ets/ba/Owith his finger

    And he shall take of the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it with his finger upon the mercy seat eastward; and before the mercy seat shall he sprinkle of the blood with his finger seven times.

15. 15

    וְשָׁחַטve/sha/CHATthen he shall slaughterאֶת־שְׂעִירet-se/IRthe goat ofהַחַטָּאתha/chat/TATthe sin offeringאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhich isלָעָםla/AMfor the peopleוְהֵבִיאve/he/VIand he shall bringאֶת־דָּמוֹet-da/MOits bloodאֶל־מִבֵּיתel-mib/BETwithinלַפָּרֹכֶתlap/pa/RO/khetthe veilוְעָשָׂהve/a/SAand shall doאֶת־דָּמוֹet-da/MOits bloodכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasעָשָׂהa/SAhe didלְדַםle/DAMwith the blood ofהַפָּרhap/PARthe bullוְהִזָּהve/hiz/ZAand he shall sprinkleאֹתוֹo/TOitעַל־הַכַּפֹּרֶתal-hak/kap/PO/retupon the mercy seatוְלִפְנֵיve/lif/NEand beforeהַכַּפֹּרֶת׃hak/kap/PO/retthe mercy seat

    Then shall he kill the goat of the sin offering, that is for the people, and bring his blood within the vail, and do with that blood as he did with the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it upon the mercy seat, and before the mercy seat:

16. 16

    וְכִפֶּרve/khip/PERand he shall make atonementעַל־הַקֹּדֶשׁal-hak/KO/deshfor the holy placeמִטֻּמְאֹתmit/tum/OTbecause of the uncleanness ofבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelוּמִפִּשְׁעֵיהֶםu/mip/pish/e/HEMand because of their transgressionsלְכׇל־חַטֹּאתָםle/KHOL-chat/to/TAMin all their sinsוְכֵןve/KHENand soיַעֲשֶׂהya/a/SEhe shall doלְאֹהֶלle/O/helfor the tent ofמוֹעֵדmo/EDmeetingהַשֹּׁכֵןhash/sho/KHENthat remainsאִתָּםit/TAMwith themבְּתוֹךְbe/TOKHin the midst ofטֻמְאֹתָם׃tum/o/TAMtheir uncleanness

    And he shall make an atonement for the holy place, because of the uncleanness of the children of Israel, and because of their transgressions in all their sins: and so shall he do for the tabernacle of the congregation, that remaineth among them in the midst of their uncleanness.

17. 17

    וְכׇל־אָדָםve/KHOL-a/DAMand any manלֹא־יִהְיֶהlo-yih/YEshall not beבְּאֹהֶלbe/O/helin the tent ofמוֹעֵדmo/EDmeetingבְּבֹאוֹbe/vo/Owhen he goes inלְכַפֵּרle/khap/PERto make atonementבַּקֹּדֶשׁbak/KO/deshin the holy placeעַד־צֵאתוֹad-tse/TOuntil he comes outוְכִפֶּרve/khip/PERand he shall make atonementבַּעֲדוֹba/a/DOfor himselfוּבְעַדu/ve/ADand forבֵּיתוֹbe/TOhis houseוּבְעַדu/ve/ADand forכׇּל־קְהַלkol-ke/HALall the assembly ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

    And there shall be no man in the tabernacle of the congregation when he goeth in to make an atonement in the holy place, until he come out, and have made an atonement for himself, and for his household, and for all the congregation of Israel.

18. 18

    וְיָצָאve/ya/TSAand he shall go outאֶל־הַמִּזְבֵּחַel-ham/miz/BE/achto the altarאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat isלִפְנֵי־יְהֹוָהlif/NE-Adonaibefore the LORDוְכִפֶּרve/khip/PERand he shall make atonementעָלָיוa/LAYVfor itוְלָקַחve/la/KACHand shall takeמִדַּםmid/DAMof the blood ofהַפָּרhap/PARthe bullוּמִדַּםu/mid/DAMand of the blood ofהַשָּׂעִירhas/sa/IRthe goatוְנָתַןve/na/TANand shall put itעַל־קַרְנוֹתal-kar/NOTupon the horns ofהַמִּזְבֵּחַham/miz/BE/achthe altarסָבִיב׃sa/VIVround about

    And he shall go out unto the altar that is before the LORD, and make an atonement for it; and shall take of the blood of the bullock, and of the blood of the goat, and put it upon the horns of the altar round about.

19. 19

    וְהִזָּהve/hiz/ZAand he shall sprinkleעָלָיוa/LAYVupon itמִן־הַדָּםmin-had/DAMof the bloodבְּאֶצְבָּעוֹbe/ets/ba/Owith his fingerשֶׁבַעSHE/vasevenפְּעָמִיםpe/a/MIMtimesוְטִהֲרוֹve/ti/ha/ROand cleanse itוְקִדְּשׁוֹve/kid/de/SHOand sanctify itמִטֻּמְאֹתmit/tum/OTfrom the uncleanness ofבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

    And he shall sprinkle of the blood upon it with his finger seven times, and cleanse it, and hallow it from the uncleanness of the children of Israel.

20. 20

    וְכִלָּהve/khil/LAand when he has made an endמִכַּפֵּרmik/kap/PERof making atonement forאֶת־הַקֹּדֶשׁet-hak/KO/deshthe sanctuaryוְאֶת־אֹהֶלve/ET-O/heland the tent ofמוֹעֵדmo/EDmeetingוְאֶת־הַמִּזְבֵּחַve/ET-ham/miz/BE/achand the altarוְהִקְרִיבve/hik/RIVthen he shall bringאֶת־הַשָּׂעִירet-has/sa/IRthe goatהֶחָי׃he/CHAYlive

    And when he hath made an end of reconciling the holy place, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and the altar, he shall bring the live goat:

21. 21

    וְסָמַךְve/sa/MAKHand shall layאַהֲרֹןA/ha/RONAaronאֶת־שְׁתֵּיet-shtebothיָדָוya/DAVhis handsעַלaluponרֹאשׁroshthe head ofהַשָּׂעִירhas/sa/IRthe goatהַחַיha/CHAYliveוְהִתְוַדָּהve/hit/vad/DAand confessעָלָיוa/LAYVover itאֶת־כׇּל־עֲוֺנֹתet-kol-a/vo/NOTall the iniquities ofבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelוְאֶת־כׇּל־פִּשְׁעֵיהֶםve/ET-kol-pish/e/HEMand all their transgressionsלְכׇל־חַטֹּאתָםle/KHOL-chat/to/TAMin all their sinsוְנָתַןve/na/TANand he shall putאֹתָםo/TAMthemעַל־רֹאשׁal-roshupon the head ofהַשָּׂעִירhas/sa/IRthe goatוְשִׁלַּחve/shil/LACHand shall send it awayבְּיַד־אִישׁbe/YAD-ishby the hand of a manעִתִּיit/TIwho is readyהַמִּדְבָּרָה׃ham/mid/BA/rainto the wilderness

    And Aaron shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions in all their sins, putting them upon the head of the goat, and shall send him away by the hand of a fit man into the wilderness:

22. 22

    וְנָשָׂאve/na/SAand shall bearהַשָּׂעִירhas/sa/IRthe goatעָלָיוa/LAYVupon itselfאֶת־כׇּל־עֲוֺנֹתָםet-kol-a/vo/no/TAMall their iniquitiesאֶל־אֶרֶץel-E/retsto a landגְּזֵרָהge/ze/RAcut offוְשִׁלַּחve/shil/LACHand he shall let goאֶת־הַשָּׂעִירet-has/sa/IRthe goatבַּמִּדְבָּר׃bam/mid/BARin the wilderness

    And the goat shall bear upon him all their iniquities unto a land not inhabited: and he shall let go the goat in the wilderness.

23. 23

    וּבָאu/VAand shall comeאַהֲרֹןA/ha/RONAaronאֶל־אֹהֶלel-O/helinto the tent ofמוֹעֵדmo/EDmeetingוּפָשַׁטu/fa/SHATand shall put offאֶת־בִּגְדֵיet-big/DEthe garments ofהַבָּדhab/BADlinenאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichלָבַשׁla/VASHhe put onבְּבֹאוֹbe/vo/Owhen he wentאֶל־הַקֹּדֶשׁel-hak/KO/deshinto the holy placeוְהִנִּיחָםve/hin/ni/CHAMand shall leave themשָׁם׃shamthere

    And Aaron shall come into the tabernacle of the congregation, and shall put off the linen garments, which he put on when he went into the holy place, and shall leave them there:

24. 24

    וְרָחַץve/ra/CHATSand he shall batheאֶת־בְּשָׂרוֹet-be/sa/ROhis fleshבַמַּיִםvam/MA/yimin waterבְּמָקוֹםbe/ma/KOMin a placeקָדוֹשׁka/DOSHholyוְלָבַשׁve/la/VASHand put onאֶת־בְּגָדָיוet-be/ga/DAYVhis garmentsוְיָצָאve/ya/TSAand come outוְעָשָׂהve/a/SAand offerאֶת־עֹלָתוֹet-o/la/TOhis burnt offeringוְאֶת־עֹלַתve/ET-o/LATand the burnt offering ofהָעָםha/AMthe peopleוְכִפֶּרve/khip/PERand he shall make atonementבַּעֲדוֹba/a/DOfor himselfוּבְעַדu/ve/ADand forהָעָם׃ha/AMthe people

    And he shall wash his flesh with water in the holy place, and put on his garments, and come forth, and offer his burnt offering, and the burnt offering of the people, and make an atonement for himself, and for the people.

25. 25

    וְאֵתve/ETandחֵלֶבCHE/levthe fat ofהַחַטָּאתha/chat/TATthe sin offeringיַקְטִירyak/TIRhe shall burnהַמִּזְבֵּחָה׃ham/miz/BE/chaon the altar

    And the fat of the sin offering shall he burn upon the altar.

26. 26

    וְהַמְשַׁלֵּחַve/ham/shal/LE/achand he who let goאֶת־הַשָּׂעִירet-has/sa/IRthe goatלַעֲזָאזֵלla/a/za/ZELfor the scapegoatיְכַבֵּסye/khab/BESshall washבְּגָדָיוbe/ga/DAYVhis garmentsוְרָחַץve/ra/CHATSand batheאֶת־בְּשָׂרוֹet-be/sa/ROhis fleshבַּמָּיִםbam/MA/yimin waterוְאַחֲרֵי־כֵןve/a/cha/RE-khenand afterwardיָבוֹאya/VOhe shall comeאֶל־הַמַּחֲנֶה׃el-ham/ma/cha/NEinto the camp

    And he that let go the goat for the scapegoat shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward come into the camp.

27. 27

    וְאֵתve/ETandפַּרparthe bull ofהַחַטָּאתha/chat/TATthe sin offeringוְאֵתve/ETandשְׂעִירse/IRthe goat ofהַחַטָּאתha/chat/TATthe sin offeringאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoseהוּבָאhu/VAwas broughtאֶת־דָּמָםet-da/MAMtheir bloodלְכַפֵּרle/khap/PERto make atonementבַּקֹּדֶשׁbak/KO/deshin the holy placeיוֹצִיאyo/TSIshall one carryאֶל־מִחוּץel-mi/CHUTSoutsideלַמַּחֲנֶהlam/ma/cha/NEthe campוְשָׂרְפוּve/sa/re/FUand they shall burnבָאֵשׁva/ESHwith fireאֶת־עֹרֹתָםet-o/ro/TAMtheir skinsוְאֶת־בְּשָׂרָםve/ET-be/sa/RAMand their fleshוְאֶת־פִּרְשָׁם׃ve/ET-pir/SHAMand their dung

    And the bullock for the sin offering, and the goat for the sin offering, whose blood was brought in to make atonement in the holy place, shall one carry forth without the camp; and they shall burn in the fire their skins, and their flesh, and their dung.

28. 28

    וְהַשֹּׂרֵףve/has/so/REFand he who burnsאֹתָםo/TAMthemיְכַבֵּסye/khab/BESshall washבְּגָדָיוbe/ga/DAYVhis garmentsוְרָחַץve/ra/CHATSand batheאֶת־בְּשָׂרוֹet-be/sa/ROhis fleshבַּמָּיִםbam/MA/yimin waterוְאַחֲרֵי־כֵןve/a/cha/RE-khenand afterwardיָבוֹאya/VOhe shall comeאֶל־הַמַּחֲנֶה׃el-ham/ma/cha/NEinto the camp

    And he that burneth them shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp.

29. 29

    וְהָיְתָהve/ha/ye/TAand it shall beלָכֶםla/KHEMto youלְחֻקַּתle/chuk/KATfor a statuteעוֹלָםo/LAMfor everבַּחֹדֶשׁba/CHO/deshin the monthהַשְּׁבִיעִיhash/she/vi/Ithe seventhבֶּעָשׂוֹרbe/a/SORon the tenth dayלַחֹדֶשׁla/CHO/deshof the monthתְּעַנּוּte/an/NUyou shall afflictאֶת־נַפְשֹׁתֵיכֶםet-naf/sho/te/KHEMyour soulsוְכׇל־מְלָאכָהve/KHOL-me/la/KHAand any workלֹאlonotתַעֲשׂוּta/a/SUyou shall doהָאֶזְרָחha/ez/RACHthe nativeוְהַגֵּרve/hag/GERand the strangerהַגָּרhag/GARwho sojournsבְּתוֹכְכֶם׃be/tokh/KHEMamong you

    And this shall be a statute for ever unto you: that in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, ye shall afflict your souls, and do no work at all, whether it be one of your own country, or a stranger that sojourneth among you:

30. 30

    כִּי־בַיּוֹםki-vay/YOMfor on the dayהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisיְכַפֵּרye/khap/PERshall make atonementעֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMfor youלְטַהֵרle/ta/HERto cleanseאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouמִכֹּלmik/KOLfrom allחַטֹּאתֵיכֶםchat/to/te/KHEMyour sinsלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDתִּטְהָרוּ׃tit/HA/ruyou shall be clean

    For on that day shall the priest make an atonement for you, to cleanse you, that ye may be clean from all your sins before the LORD.

31. 31

    שַׁבַּתshab/BATa sabbath ofשַׁבָּתוֹןshab/ba/TONsolemn restהִיאhiit isלָכֶםla/KHEMto youוְעִנִּיתֶםve/in/ni/TEMand you shall afflictאֶת־נַפְשֹׁתֵיכֶםet-naf/sho/te/KHEMyour soulsחֻקַּתchuk/KATa statuteעוֹלָם׃o/LAMfor ever

    It shall be a sabbath of rest unto you, and ye shall afflict your souls, by a statute for ever.

32. 32

    וְכִפֶּרve/khip/PERand he shall make atonementהַכֹּהֵןhak/ko/HENthe priestאֲשֶׁר־יִמְשַׁחa/SHER-yim/SHACHwhom one anointsאֹתוֹo/TOhimוַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand whomיְמַלֵּאye/mal/LEone fillsאֶת־יָדוֹet-ya/DOhis handלְכַהֵןle/kha/HENto serve as priestתַּחַתTA/chatin place ofאָבִיוa/VIVhis fatherוְלָבַשׁve/la/VASHand he shall put onאֶת־בִּגְדֵיet-big/DEthe garments ofהַבָּדhab/BADlinenבִּגְדֵיbig/DEthe garments ofהַקֹּדֶשׁ׃hak/KO/deshholiness

    And the priest, whom he shall anoint, and whom he shall consecrate to minister in the priest's office in his father's stead, shall make the atonement, and shall put on the linen clothes, even the holy garments:

33. 33

    וְכִפֶּרve/khip/PERand he shall make atonementאֶת־מִקְדַּשׁet-mik/DASHthe sanctuary ofהַקֹּדֶשׁhak/KO/deshholinessוְאֶת־אֹהֶלve/ET-O/heland the tent ofמוֹעֵדmo/EDmeetingוְאֶת־הַמִּזְבֵּחַve/ET-ham/miz/BE/achand the altarיְכַפֵּרye/khap/PERshall make atonementוְעַלve/ALand forהַכֹּהֲנִיםhak/ko/ha/NIMthe priestsוְעַל־כׇּל־עַםve/AL-kol-amand for all the people ofהַקָּהָלhak/ka/HALthe assemblyיְכַפֵּר׃ye/khap/PERshall make atonement

    And he shall make an atonement for the holy sanctuary, and he shall make an atonement for the tabernacle of the congregation, and for the altar, and he shall make an atonement for the priests, and for all the people of the congregation.

34. 34

    וְהָיְתָה־זֹּאתve/ha/ye/TA-zotand this shall beלָכֶםla/KHEMto youלְחֻקַּתle/chuk/KATfor a statuteעוֹלָםo/LAMfor everלְכַפֵּרle/khap/PERto make atonementעַל־בְּנֵיal-be/NEfor the children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelמִכׇּל־חַטֹּאתָםmik/KOL-chat/to/TAMfor all their sinsאַחַתa/CHATonceבַּשָּׁנָהbash/sha/NAin the yearוַיַּעַשׂvay/YA/asand he didכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasצִוָּהtsiv/VAcommandedיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶת־מֹשֶׁה׃et-Mo/SHEMoses

    And this shall be an everlasting statute unto you, to make an atonement for the children of Israel for all their sins once a year. And he did as the LORD commanded Moses.
