Leviticus 12 וַיִּקְרָא פרק י״ב

   וַיְדַבֵּרand spokeיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֶל־מֹשֶׁהto Mosesלֵּאמֹר׃saying

   And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

   דַּבֵּרspeakאֶל־בְּנֵיunto the sons ofיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelלֵאמֹרsayingאִשָּׁהa womanכִּיifתַזְרִיעַshe conceivesוְיָלְדָהand she will bearזָכָרmaleוְטָמְאָהand shall be uncleanשִׁבְעַתsevenיָמִיםdaysכִּימֵיas days ofנִדַּתmenstrous impurity ofדְּוֺתָהּher infirmityתִּטְמָא׃she will be unclean

   Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a woman have conceived seed, and born a man child: then she shall be unclean seven days; according to the days of the separation for her infirmity shall she be unclean.

   וּבַיּוֹםand in the dayהַשְּׁמִינִיthe eighthיִמּוֹלhe will be circumcisedבְּשַׂרthe flesh ofעׇרְלָתוֹ׃his foreskin

   And in the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised.

4. 4

   וּשְׁלֹשִׁיםand thirtyיוֹםdayוּשְׁלֹשֶׁתand the threeיָמִיםdaysתֵּשֵׁבshall sitבִּדְמֵיin the blood ofטׇהֳרָהֿher purificationבְּכׇל־קֹדֶשׁin any holy thingלֹא־תִגָּעnot she will touchוְאֶל־הַמִּקְדָּשׁand the sanctuaryלֹאnotתָבֹאshe shall comeעַד־מְלֹאתuntil are completedיְמֵיthe days ofטׇהֳרָהּ׃her purification

   And she shall then continue in the blood of her purifying three and thirty days; she shall touch no hallowed thing, nor come into the sanctuary, until the days of her purifying be fulfilled.

   וְאִם־נְקֵבָהand if a femaleתֵלֵדshe will bearוְטָמְאָהand shall be uncleanשְׁבֻעַיִםtwo weeksכְּנִדָּתָהּlike her menstruous impurityוְשִׁשִּׁיםand sixtyיוֹםdayוְשֵׁשֶׁתand sixיָמִיםdaysתֵּשֵׁבshall sitעַל־דְּמֵיupon the blood ofטׇהֳרָהֿ׃her purification

   But if she bear a maid child, then she shall be unclean two weeks, as in her separation: and she shall continue in the blood of her purifying threescore and six days.

   וּבִמְלֹאתand when are completedיְמֵיthe days ofטׇהֳרָהּher purificationלְבֵןfor a sonאוֹorלְבַתfor a daughterתָּבִיאshe shall bringכֶּבֶשׂa lambבֶּן־שְׁנָתוֹa year oldלְעֹלָהto a burnt offeringוּבֶן־יוֹנָהand a son of a doveאוֹ־תֹרor a turtle doveלְחַטָּאתto a sin offeringאֶל־פֶּתַחto the door ofאֹהֶל־מוֹעֵדtent of the congregationאֶל־הַכֹּהֵן׃to the priest

   And when the days of her purifying are fulfilled, for a son, or for a daughter, she shall bring a lamb of the first year for a burnt offering, and a young pigeon, or a turtledove, for a sin offering, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, unto the priest:

   וְהִקְרִיבוֹand he will present itלִפְנֵיbeforeיְהֹוָהthe LORDוְכִפֶּרand he will make atonementעָלֶיהָupon itוְטָהֲרָהֿand she shall be cleanמִמְּקֹרfrom the spring ofדָּמֶיהָher bloodזֹאתthisתּוֹרַתthe law ofהַיֹּלֶדֶתthe woman who gives birthלַזָּכָרfor the maleאוֹorלַנְּקֵבָה׃for the female

   Who shall offer it before the LORD, and make an atonement for her; and she shall be cleansed from the issue of her blood. This is the law for her that hath born a male or a female.

8. 8

   וְאִם־לֹאand if notתִמְצָאfindsיָדָהּher handדֵּיenough forשֶׂהa lambוְלָקְחָהand she will takeשְׁתֵּי־תֹרִיםtwo turtle dovesאוֹorשְׁנֵיtwoבְּנֵיthe sons ofיוֹנָהa doveאֶחָדoneלְעֹלָהto a burnt offeringוְאֶחָדand oneלְחַטָּאתto a sin offeringוְכִפֶּרand he will make atonementעָלֶיהָupon itהַכֹּהֵןthe priestוְטָהֵרָה׃and she shall be clean

   And if she be not able to bring a lamb, then she shall bring two turtles, or two young pigeons; the one for the burnt offering, and the other for a sin offering: and the priest shall make an atonement for her, and she shall be clean.
