Leviticus 1 וַיִּקְרָא פרק א׳

1. 1

   וַיִּקְרָאvay/yik/RAand calledאֶל־מֹשֶׁהel-Mo/SHEto Mosesוַיְדַבֵּרvay/dab/BERand spokeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himמֵאֹהֶלme/O/helfrom the tent ofמוֹעֵדmo/EDmeetingלֵאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

   And the LORD called unto Moses, and spake unto him out of the tabernacle of the congregation, saying,

   דַּבֵּרdab/BERspeakאֶל־בְּנֵיel-be/NEto the children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelוְאָמַרְתָּve/a/mar/TAand sayאֲלֵהֶםa/le/HEMto themאָדָםa/DAMany manכִּי־יַקְרִיבki-yak/RIVwhen he offersמִכֶּםmik/KEMof youקׇרְבָּןkor/BANan offeringלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaito the LORDמִן־הַבְּהֵמָהmin-hab/be/he/MAof the livestockמִן־הַבָּקָרmin-hab/ba/KARof the herdוּמִן־הַצֹּאןu/MIN-hats/TSONand of the flockתַּקְרִיבוּtak/RI/vuyou shall offerאֶת־קׇרְבַּנְכֶם׃et-kor/ban/KHEMyour offering

   Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, If any man of you bring an offering unto the LORD, ye shall bring your offering of the cattle, even of the herd, and of the flock.

3. 3

   אִם־עֹלָהim-o/LAif a burnt offeringקׇרְבָּנוֹkor/ba/NOhis offeringמִן־הַבָּקָרmin-hab/ba/KARof the herdזָכָרza/KHARa maleתָּמִיםta/MIMwithout blemishיַקְרִיבֶנּוּyak/ri/VEN/nuhe shall offer itאֶל־פֶּתַחel-PE/tachto the door ofאֹהֶלO/helthe tent ofמוֹעֵדmo/EDmeetingיַקְרִיבyak/RIVhe shall offerאֹתוֹo/TOitלִרְצֹנוֹlir/tso/NOfor his acceptanceלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

   If his offering be a burnt sacrifice of the herd, let him offer a male without blemish: he shall offer it of his own voluntary will at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the LORD.

4. 4

   וְסָמַךְve/sa/MAKHand he shall layיָדוֹya/DOhis handעַלaluponרֹאשׁroshthe head ofהָעֹלָהha/o/LAthe burnt offeringוְנִרְצָהve/nir/TSAand it shall be acceptedלוֹlofor himלְכַפֵּרle/khap/PERto make atonementעָלָיו׃a/LAYVupon him

   And he shall put his hand upon the head of the burnt offering; and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him.

5. 5

   וְשָׁחַטve/sha/CHATand he shall slaughterאֶת־בֶּןet-benthe young ofהַבָּקָרhab/ba/KARthe herdלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוְהִקְרִיבוּve/hik/RI/vuand shall presentבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofאַהֲרֹןA/ha/RONAaronהַכֹּהֲנִיםhak/ko/ha/NIMthe priestsאֶת־הַדָּםet-had/DAMthe bloodוְזָרְקוּve/za/re/KUand shall sprinkleאֶת־הַדָּםet-had/DAMthe bloodעַל־הַמִּזְבֵּחַal-ham/miz/BE/achupon the altarסָבִיבsa/VIVround aboutאֲשֶׁר־פֶּתַחa/SHER-PE/tachwhich is at the door ofאֹהֶלO/helthe tent ofמוֹעֵד׃mo/EDmeeting

   And he shall kill the bullock before the LORD: and the priests, Aaron's sons, shall bring the blood, and sprinkle the blood round about upon the altar that is by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

6. 6

   וְהִפְשִׁיטve/hif/SHITand shall flayאֶת־הָעֹלָהet-ha/o/LAthe burnt offeringוְנִתַּחve/nit/TACHand shall cut in piecesאֹתָהּo/TAitלִנְתָחֶיהָ׃lin/ta/CHE/hainto its pieces

   And he shall flay the burnt offering, and cut it into his pieces.

7. 7

   וְנָתְנוּve/na/te/NUand shall putבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofאַהֲרֹןA/ha/RONAaronהַכֹּהֵןhak/ko/HENthe priestאֵשׁeshfireעַל־הַמִּזְבֵּחַal-ham/miz/BE/achupon the altarוְעָרְכוּve/a/re/KHUand shall lay in orderעֵצִיםe/TSIMwoodעַל־הָאֵשׁ׃al-ha/ESHupon the fire

   And the sons of Aaron the priest shall put fire upon the altar, and lay the wood in order upon the fire:

8. 8

   וְעָרְכוּve/a/re/KHUand shall lay in orderבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofאַהֲרֹןA/ha/RONAaronהַכֹּהֲנִיםhak/ko/ha/NIMthe priestsאֵת־הַנְּתָחִיםet-han/ne/ta/CHIMthe piecesאֶת־הָרֹאשׁet-ha/ROSHthe headוְאֶת־הַפָּדֶרve/ET-hap/PA/derand the suetעַל־הָעֵצִיםal-ha/e/TSIMupon the woodאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat isעַל־הָאֵשׁal-ha/ESHupon the fireאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat isעַל־הַמִּזְבֵּחַ׃al-ham/miz/BE/achupon the altar

   And the priests, Aaron's sons, shall lay the parts, the head, and the fat, in order upon the wood that is on the fire which is upon the altar:

9. 9

   וְקִרְבּוֹve/kir/BOand its entrailsוּכְרָעָיוu/khe/ra/AYVand its legsיִרְחַץyir/CHATShe shall washבַּמָּיִםbam/MA/yimwith waterוְהִקְטִירve/hik/TIRand shall burnהַכֹּהֵןhak/ko/HENthe priestאֶת־הַכֹּלet-hak/KOLallהַמִּזְבֵּחָהham/miz/BE/chaon the altarעֹלָהo/LAa burnt offeringאִשֵּׁהish/SHEan offering by fireרֵיחַ־נִיחוֹחַRE/ach-ni/CHO/acha soothing aromaלַיהֹוָה׃la-Adonaito the LORD

   But his inwards and his legs shall he wash in water: and the priest shall burn all on the altar, to be a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.

10. 10

    וְאִם־מִן־הַצֹּאןve/IM-min-hats/TSONand if from the flockקׇרְבָּנוֹkor/ba/NOhis offeringמִן־הַכְּשָׂבִיםmin-hak/ke/sa/VIMof the sheepאוֹoorמִן־הָעִזִּיםmin-ha/iz/ZIMof the goatsלְעֹלָהle/o/LAfor a burnt offeringזָכָרza/KHARa maleתָּמִיםta/MIMwithout blemishיַקְרִיבֶנּוּ׃yak/ri/VEN/nuhe shall offer it

    And if his offering be of the flocks, namely, of the sheep, or of the goats, for a burnt sacrifice; he shall bring it a male without blemish.

11. 11

    וְשָׁחַטve/sha/CHATand he shall slaughterאֹתוֹo/TOitעַלalonיֶרֶךְYE/rekhthe side ofהַמִּזְבֵּחַham/miz/BE/achthe altarצָפֹנָהtsa/FO/nanorthwardלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוְזָרְקוּve/za/re/KUand shall sprinkleבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofאַהֲרֹןA/ha/RONAaronהַכֹּהֲנִיםhak/ko/ha/NIMthe priestsאֶת־דָּמוֹet-da/MOits bloodעַל־הַמִּזְבֵּחַal-ham/miz/BE/achupon the altarסָבִיב׃sa/VIVround about

    And he shall kill it on the side of the altar northward before the LORD: and the priests, Aaron's sons, shall sprinkle his blood round about upon the altar.

12. 12

    וְנִתַּחve/nit/TACHand shall cut in piecesאֹתוֹo/TOitלִנְתָחָיוlin/ta/CHAYVinto its piecesוְאֶת־רֹאשׁוֹve/ET-ro/SHOand its headוְאֶת־פִּדְרוֹve/ET-pid/ROand its suetוְעָרַךְve/a/RAKHand shall lay in orderהַכֹּהֵןhak/ko/HENthe priestאֹתָםo/TAMthemעַל־הָעֵצִיםal-ha/e/TSIMupon the woodאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat isעַל־הָאֵשׁal-ha/ESHupon the fireאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat isעַל־הַמִּזְבֵּחַ׃al-ham/miz/BE/achupon the altar

    And he shall cut it into his pieces, with his head and his fat: and the priest shall lay them in order on the wood that is on the fire which is upon the altar:

13. 13

    וְהַקֶּרֶבve/hak/KE/revand the entrailsוְהַכְּרָעַיִםve/hak/ke/ra/A/yimand the legsיִרְחַץyir/CHATShe shall washבַּמָּיִםbam/MA/yimwith waterוְהִקְרִיבve/hik/RIVand shall offerהַכֹּהֵןhak/ko/HENthe priestאֶת־הַכֹּלet-hak/KOLallוְהִקְטִירve/hik/TIRand shall burnהַמִּזְבֵּחָהham/miz/BE/chaon the altarעֹלָהo/LAa burnt offeringהוּאhuitאִשֵּׁהish/SHEan offering by fireרֵיחַRE/acharoma ofנִיחֹחַni/CHO/achsoothingלַיהֹוָה׃la-Adonaito the LORD

    But he shall wash the inwards and the legs with water: and the priest shall bring it all, and burn it upon the altar: it is a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.

14. 14

    וְאִםve/IMand ifמִן־הָעוֹףmin-ha/OFof the birdsעֹלָהo/LAa burnt offeringקׇרְבָּנוֹkor/ba/NOhis offeringלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaito the LORDוְהִקְרִיבve/hik/RIVthen he shall offerמִן־הַתֹּרִיםmin-hat/to/RIMof the turtledovesאוֹoorמִן־בְּנֵיmin-be/NEof the young ofהַיּוֹנָהhay/yo/NAthe pigeonאֶת־קׇרְבָּנוֹ׃et-kor/ba/NOhis offering

    And if the burnt sacrifice for his offering to the LORD be of fowls, then he shall bring his offering of turtledoves, or of young pigeons.

15. 15

    וְהִקְרִיבוֹve/hik/ri/VOand shall bring itהַכֹּהֵןhak/ko/HENthe priestאֶל־הַמִּזְבֵּחַel-ham/miz/BE/achto the altarוּמָלַקu/ma/LAKand wring offאֶת־רֹאשׁוֹet-ro/SHOits headוְהִקְטִירve/hik/TIRand shall burnהַמִּזְבֵּחָהham/miz/BE/chaon the altarוְנִמְצָהve/nim/TSAand shall be drained outדָמוֹda/MOits bloodעַלalonקִירkirthe wall ofהַמִּזְבֵּחַ׃ham/miz/BE/achthe altar

    And the priest shall bring it unto the altar, and wring off his head, and burn it on the altar; and the blood thereof shall be wrung out at the side of the altar:

16. 16

    וְהֵסִירve/he/SIRand he shall removeאֶת־מֻרְאָתוֹet-mur/a/TOits cropבְּנֹצָתָהּbe/no/tsa/TAwith its feathersוְהִשְׁלִיךְve/hish/LIKHand shall castאֹתָהּo/TAitאֵצֶלE/tselnearהַמִּזְבֵּחַham/miz/BE/achthe altarקֵדְמָהKED/maon the eastאֶל־מְקוֹםel-me/KOMby the place ofהַדָּשֶׁן׃had/DA/shenthe ashes

    And he shall pluck away his crop with his feathers, and cast it beside the altar on the east part, by the place of the ashes:

17. 17

    וְשִׁסַּעve/shis/SAand he shall tearאֹתוֹo/TOitבִכְנָפָיוvikh/na/FAYVby its wingsלֹאlobut notיַבְדִּילyav/DILhe shall divideוְהִקְטִירve/hik/TIRand shall burnאֹתוֹo/TOitהַכֹּהֵןhak/ko/HENthe priestהַמִּזְבֵּחָהham/miz/BE/chaon the altarעַל־הָעֵצִיםal-ha/e/TSIMupon the woodאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat isעַל־הָאֵשׁal-ha/ESHupon the fireעֹלָהo/LAa burnt offeringהוּאhuitאִשֵּׁהish/SHEan offering by fireרֵיחַRE/acharoma ofנִיחֹחַni/CHO/achsoothingלַיהֹוָה׃la-Adonaito the LORD

    And he shall cleave it with the wings thereof, but shall not divide it asunder: and the priest shall burn it upon the altar, upon the wood that is upon the fire: it is a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.
