   וַיְדַבֵּרvay/dab/BERand spokeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־מֹשֶׁהel-Mo/SHEto Mosesלֵּאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

   And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

2. 2

   בְּיוֹם־הַחֹדֶשׁbe/YOM-ha/CHO/deshon the day of the monthהָרִאשׁוֹןha/ri/SHONfirstבְּאֶחָדbe/e/CHADon the firstלַחֹדֶשׁla/CHO/deshof the monthתָּקִיםta/KIMyou shall set upאֶת־מִשְׁכַּןet-mish/KANthe tabernacle ofאֹהֶלO/helthe tent ofמוֹעֵד׃mo/EDmeeting

   On the first day of the first month shalt thou set up the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation.

   וְשַׂמְתָּve/sam/TAand you shall putשָׁםshamthereאֵת־אֲרוֹןet-a/RONthe ark ofהָעֵדוּתha/e/DUTthe testimonyוְסַכֹּתָve/sak/ko/TAand you shall screenעַל־הָאָרֹןal-ha/a/RONover the arkאֶת־הַפָּרֹכֶת׃et-hap/pa/RO/khetthe veil

   And thou shalt put therein the ark of the testimony, and cover the ark with the vail.

   וְהֵבֵאתָve/he/ve/TAand you shall bring inאֶת־הַשֻּׁלְחָןet-hash/shul/CHANthe tableוְעָרַכְתָּve/a/rakh/TAand set in orderאֶת־עֶרְכּוֹet-er/KOits orderוְהֵבֵאתָve/he/ve/TAand bring inאֶת־הַמְּנֹרָהet-ham/me/no/RAthe lampstandוְהַעֲלֵיתָve/ha/a/le/TAand lightאֶת־נֵרֹתֶיהָ׃et-ne/ro/TE/haits lamps

   And thou shalt bring in the table, and set in order the things that are to be set in order upon it; and thou shalt bring in the candlestick, and light the lamps thereof.

   וְנָתַתָּהve/na/tat/TAand you shall setאֶת־מִזְבַּחet-miz/BACHthe altar ofהַזָּהָבhaz/za/HAVgoldלִקְטֹרֶתlik/TO/retfor incenseלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeאֲרוֹןa/RONthe ark ofהָעֵדֻתha/e/DUTthe testimonyוְשַׂמְתָּve/sam/TAand putאֶת־מָסַךְet-ma/SAKHthe screen ofהַפֶּתַחhap/PE/tachthe doorלַמִּשְׁכָּן׃lam/mish/KANof the tabernacle

   And thou shalt set the altar of gold for the incense before the ark of the testimony, and put the hanging of the door to the tabernacle.

   וְנָתַתָּהve/na/tat/TAand you shall setאֵת־מִזְבַּחet-miz/BACHthe altar ofהָעֹלָהha/o/LAthe burnt offeringלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeפֶּתַחPE/tachthe door ofמִשְׁכַּןmish/KANthe tabernacle ofאֹהֶל־מוֹעֵד׃O/hel-mo/EDthe tent of meeting

   And thou shalt set the altar of the burnt offering before the door of the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation.

   וְנָתַתָּve/na/tat/TAand you shall setאֶת־הַכִּיֹּרet-hak/kiy/YORthe laverבֵּין־אֹהֶלben-O/helbetween the tent ofמוֹעֵדmo/EDmeetingוּבֵיןu/VENand betweenהַמִּזְבֵּחַham/miz/BE/achthe altarוְנָתַתָּve/na/tat/TAand you shall putשָׁםshamthereמָיִם׃MA/yimwater

   And thou shalt set the laver between the tent of the congregation and the altar, and shalt put water therein.

   וְשַׂמְתָּve/sam/TAand you shall set upאֶת־הֶחָצֵרet-he/cha/TSERthe courtסָבִיבsa/VIVround aboutוְנָתַתָּve/na/tat/TAand hang upאֶת־מָסַךְet-ma/SAKHthe screen ofשַׁעַרSHA/arthe gate ofהֶחָצֵר׃he/cha/TSERthe court

   And thou shalt set up the court round about, and hang up the hanging at the court gate.

   וְלָקַחְתָּve/la/kach/TAand you shall takeאֶת־שֶׁמֶןet-SHE/menthe oil ofהַמִּשְׁחָהham/mish/CHAanointingוּמָשַׁחְתָּu/ma/shach/TAand anointאֶת־הַמִּשְׁכָּןet-ham/mish/KANthe tabernacleוְאֶת־כׇּל־אֲשֶׁר־בּוֹve/ET-kol-a/SHER-boand all that is in itוְקִדַּשְׁתָּve/kid/dash/TAand sanctifyאֹתוֹo/TOitוְאֶת־כׇּל־כֵּלָיוve/ET-kol-ke/LAYVand all its furnishingsוְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall beקֹדֶשׁ׃KO/deshholy

   And thou shalt take the anointing oil, and anoint the tabernacle, and all that is therein, and shalt hallow it, and all the vessels thereof: and it shall be holy.

    וּמָשַׁחְתָּu/ma/shach/TAand you shall anointאֶת־מִזְבַּחet-miz/BACHthe altar ofהָעֹלָהha/o/LAthe burnt offeringוְאֶת־כׇּל־כֵּלָיוve/ET-kol-ke/LAYVand all its vesselsוְקִדַּשְׁתָּve/kid/dash/TAand sanctifyאֶת־הַמִּזְבֵּחַet-ham/miz/BE/achthe altarוְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall beהַמִּזְבֵּחַham/miz/BE/achthe altarקֹדֶשׁKO/deshholy ofקׇדָשִׁים׃ko/da/SHIMholies

    And thou shalt anoint the altar of the burnt offering, and all his vessels, and sanctify the altar: and it shall be an altar most holy.

    וּמָשַׁחְתָּu/ma/shach/TAand you shall anointאֶת־הַכִּיֹּרet-hak/kiy/YORthe laverוְאֶת־כַּנּוֹve/ET-kan/NOand its baseוְקִדַּשְׁתָּve/kid/dash/TAand sanctifyאֹתוֹ׃o/TOit

    And thou shalt anoint the laver and his foot, and sanctify it.

12. 12

    וְהִקְרַבְתָּve/hik/rav/TAand you shall bringאֶת־אַהֲרֹןet-A/ha/RONAaronוְאֶת־בָּנָיוve/ET-ba/NAYVand his sonsאֶל־פֶּתַחel-PE/tachto the door ofאֹהֶלO/helthe tent ofמוֹעֵדmo/EDmeetingוְרָחַצְתָּve/ra/chats/TAand washאֹתָםo/TAMthemבַּמָּיִם׃bam/MA/yimwith water

    And thou shalt bring Aaron and his sons unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and wash them with water.

    וְהִלְבַּשְׁתָּve/hil/bash/TAand you shall put onאֶת־אַהֲרֹןet-A/ha/RONAaronאֵת־בִּגְדֵיet-big/DEthe garments ofהַקֹּדֶשׁhak/KO/deshholinessוּמָשַׁחְתָּu/ma/shach/TAand anointאֹתוֹo/TOhimוְקִדַּשְׁתָּve/kid/dash/TAand sanctifyאֹתוֹo/TOhimוְכִהֵןve/khi/HENthat he may serve as priestלִי׃lito me

    And thou shalt put upon Aaron the holy garments, and anoint him, and sanctify him; that he may minister unto me in the priest's office.

14. 14

    וְאֶת־בָּנָיוve/ET-ba/NAYVand his sonsתַּקְרִיבtak/RIVyou shall bringוְהִלְבַּשְׁתָּve/hil/bash/TAand put onאֹתָםo/TAMthemכֻּתֳּנֹת׃kut/to/NOTcoats

    And thou shalt bring his sons, and clothe them with coats:

15. 15

    וּמָשַׁחְתָּu/ma/shach/TAand you shall anointאֹתָםo/TAMthemכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasמָשַׁחְתָּma/SHACH/tayou anointedאֶת־אֲבִיהֶםet-a/vi/HEMtheir fatherוְכִהֲנוּve/khi/ha/NUthat they may serve as priestsלִיlito meוְהָיְתָהve/ha/ye/TAand it shall beלִהְיֹתlih/YOTto beלָהֶםla/HEMfor themמׇשְׁחָתָםmosh/cha/TAMtheir anointingלִכְהֻנַּתlikh/hun/NATfor a priesthood ofעוֹלָםo/LAMeverlastingלְדֹרֹתָם׃le/do/ro/TAMfor their generations

    And thou shalt anoint them, as thou didst anoint their father, that they may minister unto me in the priest's office: for their anointing shall surely be an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations.

    וַיַּעַשׂvay/YA/asand didמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesכְּכֹלke/KHOLaccording to allאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatצִוָּהtsiv/VAcommandedיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֹתוֹo/TOhimכֵּןkensoעָשָׂה׃a/SAhe did

    Thus did Moses: according to all that the LORD commanded him, so did he.

17. 17

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passבַּחֹדֶשׁba/CHO/deshin the monthהָרִאשׁוֹןha/ri/SHONfirstבַּשָּׁנָהbash/sha/NAin the yearהַשֵּׁנִיתhash/she/NITsecondבְּאֶחָדbe/e/CHADon the firstלַחֹדֶשׁla/CHO/deshof the monthהוּקַםhu/KAMwas reared upהַמִּשְׁכָּן׃ham/mish/KANthe tabernacle

    And it came to pass in the first month in the second year, on the first day of the month, that the tabernacle was reared up.

18. 18

    וַיָּקֶםvay/YA/kemand reared upמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesאֶת־הַמִּשְׁכָּןet-ham/mish/KANthe tabernacleוַיִּתֵּןvay/yit/TENand fastenedאֶת־אֲדָנָיוet-a/da/NAYVits socketsוַיָּשֶׂםvay/YA/semand set upאֶת־קְרָשָׁיוet-ke/ra/SHAYVits boardsוַיִּתֵּןvay/yit/TENand put inאֶת־בְּרִיחָיוet-be/ri/CHAYVits barsוַיָּקֶםvay/YA/kemand reared upאֶת־עַמּוּדָיו׃et-am/mu/DAYVits pillars

    And Moses reared up the tabernacle, and fastened his sockets, and set up the boards thereof, and put in the bars thereof, and reared up his pillars.

    וַיִּפְרֹשׂvay/yif/ROSand he spreadאֶת־הָאֹהֶלet-ha/O/helthe tentעַל־הַמִּשְׁכָּןal-ham/mish/KANover the tabernacleוַיָּשֶׂםvay/YA/semand putאֶת־מִכְסֵהet-mikh/SEthe covering ofהָאֹהֶלha/O/helthe tentעָלָיוa/LAYVon itמִלְמָעְלָהmil/MA/laaboveכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasצִוָּהtsiv/VAcommandedיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶת־מֹשֶׁה׃et-Mo/SHEMoses

    And he spread abroad the tent over the tabernacle, and put the covering of the tent above upon it; as the LORD commanded Moses.

20. 20

    וַיִּקַּחvay/yik/KACHand he tookוַיִּתֵּןvay/yit/TENand putאֶת־הָעֵדֻתet-ha/e/DUTthe testimonyאֶל־הָאָרֹןel-ha/a/RONinto the arkוַיָּשֶׂםvay/YA/semand setאֶת־הַבַּדִּיםet-hab/bad/DIMthe polesעַל־הָאָרֹןal-ha/a/RONon the arkוַיִּתֵּןvay/yit/TENand putאֶת־הַכַּפֹּרֶתet-hak/kap/PO/retthe mercy seatעַל־הָאָרֹןal-ha/a/RONon the arkמִלְמָעְלָה׃mil/MA/laabove

    And he took and put the testimony into the ark, and set the staves on the ark, and put the mercy seat above upon the ark:

21. 21

    וַיָּבֵאvay/ya/VEand he broughtאֶת־הָאָרֹןet-ha/a/RONthe arkאֶל־הַמִּשְׁכָּןel-ham/mish/KANinto the tabernacleוַיָּשֶׂםvay/YA/semand set upאֵת־פָּרֹכֶתet-pa/RO/khetthe veil ofהַמָּסָךְham/ma/SAKHthe screenוַיָּסֶךְvay/YA/sekhand screenedעַלaloverאֲרוֹןa/RONthe ark ofהָעֵדוּתha/e/DUTthe testimonyכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasצִוָּהtsiv/VAcommandedיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶת־מֹשֶׁה׃et-Mo/SHEMoses

    And he brought the ark into the tabernacle, and set up the vail of the covering, and covered the ark of the testimony; as the LORD commanded Moses.

22. 22

    וַיִּתֵּןvay/yit/TENand he putאֶת־הַשֻּׁלְחָןet-hash/shul/CHANthe tableבְּאֹהֶלbe/O/helin the tent ofמוֹעֵדmo/EDmeetingעַלalonיֶרֶךְYE/rekhthe side ofהַמִּשְׁכָּןham/mish/KANthe tabernacleצָפֹנָהtsa/FO/nanorthwardמִחוּץmi/CHUTSoutsideלַפָּרֹכֶת׃lap/pa/RO/khetthe veil

    And he put the table in the tent of the congregation, upon the side of the tabernacle northward, without the vail.

23. 23

    וַיַּעֲרֹךְvay/ya/a/ROKHand he set in orderעָלָיוa/LAYVupon itעֵרֶךְE/rekhan order ofלֶחֶםLE/chembreadלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasצִוָּהtsiv/VAcommandedיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶת־מֹשֶׁה׃et-Mo/SHEMoses

    And he set the bread in order upon it before the LORD; as the LORD had commanded Moses.

24. 24

    וַיָּשֶׂםvay/YA/semand he setאֶת־הַמְּנֹרָהet-ham/me/no/RAthe lampstandבְּאֹהֶלbe/O/helin the tent ofמוֹעֵדmo/EDmeetingנֹכַחNO/khachoppositeהַשֻּׁלְחָןhash/shul/CHANthe tableעַלalonיֶרֶךְYE/rekhthe side ofהַמִּשְׁכָּןham/mish/KANthe tabernacleנֶגְבָּה׃NEG/basouthward

    And he put the candlestick in the tent of the congregation, over against the table, on the side of the tabernacle southward.

    וַיַּעַלvay/YA/aland he litהַנֵּרֹתhan/ne/ROTthe lampsלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasצִוָּהtsiv/VAcommandedיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶת־מֹשֶׁה׃et-Mo/SHEMoses

    And he lighted the lamps before the LORD; as the LORD commanded Moses.

26. 26

    וַיָּשֶׂםvay/YA/semand he setאֶת־מִזְבַּחet-miz/BACHthe altar ofהַזָּהָבhaz/za/HAVgoldבְּאֹהֶלbe/O/helin the tent ofמוֹעֵדmo/EDmeetingלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeהַפָּרֹכֶת׃hap/pa/RO/khetthe veil

    And he put the golden altar in the tent of the congregation before the vail:

27. 27

    וַיַּקְטֵרvay/yak/TERand he burnedעָלָיוa/LAYVupon itקְטֹרֶתke/TO/retincense ofסַמִּיםsam/MIMsweet spicesכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasצִוָּהtsiv/VAcommandedיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶת־מֹשֶׁה׃et-Mo/SHEMoses

    And he burnt sweet incense thereon; as the LORD commanded Moses.

28. 28

    וַיָּשֶׂםvay/YA/semand he setאֶת־מָסַךְet-ma/SAKHthe screen ofהַפֶּתַחhap/PE/tachthe doorלַמִּשְׁכָּן׃lam/mish/KANof the tabernacle

    And he set up the hanging at the door of the tabernacle.

29. 29

    וְאֵתve/ETandמִזְבַּחmiz/BACHthe altar ofהָעֹלָהha/o/LAthe burnt offeringשָׂםsamhe setפֶּתַחPE/tachat the door ofמִשְׁכַּןmish/KANthe tabernacle ofאֹהֶל־מוֹעֵדO/hel-mo/EDthe tent of meetingוַיַּעַלvay/YA/aland he offered upעָלָיוa/LAYVupon itאֶת־הָעֹלָהet-ha/o/LAthe burnt offeringוְאֶת־הַמִּנְחָהve/ET-ham/min/CHAand the grain offeringכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasצִוָּהtsiv/VAcommandedיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶת־מֹשֶׁה׃et-Mo/SHEMoses

    And he put the altar of burnt offering by the door of the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation, and offered upon it the burnt offering and the meat offering; as the LORD commanded Moses.

    וַיָּשֶׂםvay/YA/semand he setאֶת־הַכִּיֹּרet-hak/kiy/YORthe laverבֵּין־אֹהֶלben-O/helbetween the tent ofמוֹעֵדmo/EDmeetingוּבֵיןu/VENand betweenהַמִּזְבֵּחַham/miz/BE/achthe altarוַיִּתֵּןvay/yit/TENand he putשָׁמָּהSHAM/mathereמַיִםMA/yimwaterלְרׇחְצָה׃le/roch/TSAfor washing

    And he set the laver between the tent of the congregation and the altar, and put water there, to wash withal.

    וְרָחֲצוּve/ra/cha/TSUand washedמִמֶּנּוּmim/MEN/nufrom itמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesוְאַהֲרֹןve/A/ha/RONand Aaronוּבָנָיוu/va/NAYVand his sonsאֶת־יְדֵיהֶםet-ye/de/HEMtheir handsוְאֶת־רַגְלֵיהֶם׃ve/ET-rag/le/HEMand their feet

    And Moses and Aaron and his sons washed their hands and their feet thereat:

32. 32

    בְּבֹאָםbe/vo/AMwhen they wentאֶל־אֹהֶלel-O/helinto the tent ofמוֹעֵדmo/EDmeetingוּבְקׇרְבָתָםu/ve/kor/va/TAMand when they drew nearאֶל־הַמִּזְבֵּחַel-ham/miz/BE/achto the altarיִרְחָצוּyir/CHA/tsuthey washedכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasצִוָּהtsiv/VAcommandedיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶת־מֹשֶׁה׃et-Mo/SHEMoses

    When they went into the tent of the congregation, and when they came near unto the altar, they washed; as the LORD commanded Moses.

33. 33

    וַיָּקֶםvay/YA/kemand he reared upאֶת־הֶחָצֵרet-he/cha/TSERthe courtסָבִיבsa/VIVround aboutלַמִּשְׁכָּןlam/mish/KANfor the tabernacleוְלַמִּזְבֵּחַve/lam/miz/BE/achand for the altarוַיִּתֵּןvay/yit/TENand hung upאֶת־מָסַךְet-ma/SAKHthe screen ofשַׁעַרSHA/arthe gate ofהֶחָצֵרhe/cha/TSERthe courtוַיְכַלvay/KHALand finishedמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesאֶת־הַמְּלָאכָה׃et-ham/me/la/KHAthe work

    And he reared up the court round about the tabernacle and the altar, and set up the hanging of the court gate. So Moses finished the work.

34. 34

    וַיְכַסvay/KHASand coveredהֶעָנָןhe/a/NANthe cloudאֶת־אֹהֶלet-O/helthe tent ofמוֹעֵדmo/EDmeetingוּכְבוֹדu/khe/VODand the glory ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDמָלֵאma/LEfilledאֶת־הַמִּשְׁכָּן׃et-ham/mish/KANthe tabernacle

    Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.

35. 35

    וְלֹא־יָכֹלve/LO-ya/KHOLand was not ableמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesלָבוֹאla/VOto enterאֶל־אֹהֶלel-O/helinto the tent ofמוֹעֵדmo/EDmeetingכִּי־שָׁכַןki-sha/KHANbecause abodeעָלָיוa/LAYVupon itהֶעָנָןhe/a/NANthe cloudוּכְבוֹדu/khe/VODand the glory ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDמָלֵאma/LEfilledאֶת־הַמִּשְׁכָּן׃et-ham/mish/KANthe tabernacle

    And Moses was not able to enter into the tent of the congregation, because the cloud abode thereon, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.

36. 36

    וּבְהֵעָלוֹתu/ve/he/a/LOTand when was taken upהֶעָנָןhe/a/NANthe cloudמֵעַלme/ALfrom uponהַמִּשְׁכָּןham/mish/KANthe tabernacleיִסְעוּyis/Uwould set outבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelבְּכֹלbe/KHOLin allמַסְעֵיהֶם׃mas/e/HEMtheir journeys

    And when the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the children of Israel went onward in all their journeys:

37. 37

    וְאִם־לֹאve/IM-lobut if notיֵעָלֶהye/a/LEit was taken upהֶעָנָןhe/a/NANthe cloudוְלֹאve/LOthen notיִסְעוּyis/Uthey would set outעַד־יוֹםad-yomuntil the day thatהֵעָלֹתוֹ׃he/a/lo/TOit was taken up

    But if the cloud were not taken up, then they journeyed not till the day that it was taken up.

    כִּיkiforעֲנַןa/NANthe cloud ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDעַל־הַמִּשְׁכָּןal-ham/mish/KANupon the tabernacleיוֹמָםyo/MAMby dayוְאֵשׁve/ESHand fireתִּהְיֶהtih/YEwasלַיְלָהLAY/laby nightבּוֹboin itלְעֵינֵיle/e/NEin the sight ofכׇל־בֵּית־יִשְׂרָאֵלkhol-Bet-yis/ra/ELall the house of Israelבְּכׇל־מַסְעֵיהֶם׃be/KHOL-mas/e/HEMin all their journeys

    For the cloud of the LORD was upon the tabernacle by day, and fire was on it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.
