    וַיְדַבֵּרand spokeיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֶל־מֹשֶׁהto Mosesלֵּאמֹר׃saying

    And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

    בְּיוֹם־הַחֹדֶשׁin the day of the monthהָרִאשׁוֹןthe firstבְּאֶחָדin oneלַחֹדֶשׁof the monthתָּקִיםyou will set upאֶת־מִשְׁכַּןthe tabernacle ofאֹהֶלtent ofמוֹעֵד׃the congregation

    On the first day of the first month shalt thou set up the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation.

    וְשַׂמְתָּand you will putשָׁםthereאֵת־אֲרוֹןthe ark ofהָעֵדוּתthe testimonyוְסַכֹּתָand you will coverעַל־הָאָרֹןupon the arkאֶת־הַפָּרֹכֶת׃the veil

    And thou shalt put therein the ark of the testimony, and cover the ark with the vail.

    וְהֵבֵאתָand you will bringאֶת־הַשֻּׁלְחָןthe tableוְעָרַכְתָּand you will arrangeאֶת־עֶרְכּוֹits arrangementוְהֵבֵאתָand you will bringאֶת־הַמְּנֹרָהthe lampstandוְהַעֲלֵיתָand you will lift upאֶת־נֵרֹתֶיהָ׃its lamps

    And thou shalt bring in the table, and set in order the things that are to be set in order upon it; and thou shalt bring in the candlestick, and light the lamps thereof.

    וְנָתַתָּהand you shall giveאֶת־מִזְבַּחthe altar ofהַזָּהָבthe goldלִקְטֹרֶתfor incenseלִפְנֵיbeforeאֲרוֹןthe ark ofהָעֵדֻתthe testimonyוְשַׂמְתָּand you will putאֶת־מָסַךְthe curtain ofהַפֶּתַחthe doorלַמִּשְׁכָּן׃for the tabernacle

    And thou shalt set the altar of gold for the incense before the ark of the testimony, and put the hanging of the door to the tabernacle.

    וְנָתַתָּהand you shall giveאֵת־מִזְבַּחthe altar ofהָעֹלָהthe burnt offeringלִפְנֵיbeforeפֶּתַחdoor ofמִשְׁכַּןthe tabernacle ofאֹהֶל־מוֹעֵד׃tent of the congregation

    And thou shalt set the altar of the burnt offering before the door of the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation.

    וְנָתַתָּand you shall putאֶת־הַכִּיֹּרthe laverבֵּין־אֹהֶלbetween tent ofמוֹעֵדthe congregationוּבֵיןand betweenהַמִּזְבֵּחַthe altarוְנָתַתָּand you shall putשָׁםthereמָיִם׃water

    And thou shalt set the laver between the tent of the congregation and the altar, and shalt put water therein.

    וְשַׂמְתָּand you will putאֶת־הֶחָצֵרthe courtyardסָבִיבall aroundוְנָתַתָּand you shall putאֶת־מָסַךְthe curtain ofשַׁעַרthe gate ofהֶחָצֵר׃the courtyard

    And thou shalt set up the court round about, and hang up the hanging at the court gate.

    וְלָקַחְתָּand you will takeאֶת־שֶׁמֶןoilהַמִּשְׁחָהthe anointingוּמָשַׁחְתָּand you will anointאֶת־הַמִּשְׁכָּןthe tabernacleוְאֶת־כׇּל־אֲשֶׁר־בּוֹand all which is in itוְקִדַּשְׁתָּand you will consecrateאֹתוֹitוְאֶת־כׇּל־כֵּלָיוand all its vesselsוְהָיָהand it shall beקֹדֶשׁ׃holy

    And thou shalt take the anointing oil, and anoint the tabernacle, and all that is therein, and shalt hallow it, and all the vessels thereof: and it shall be holy.

    וּמָשַׁחְתָּand you will anointאֶת־מִזְבַּחthe altar ofהָעֹלָהthe burnt offeringוְאֶת־כׇּל־כֵּלָיוand all its vesselsוְקִדַּשְׁתָּand you will consecrateאֶת־הַמִּזְבֵּחַthe altarוְהָיָהand it shall beהַמִּזְבֵּחַthe altarקֹדֶשׁholyקׇדָשִׁים׃of holies

    And thou shalt anoint the altar of the burnt offering, and all his vessels, and sanctify the altar: and it shall be an altar most holy.

  11. 11

    וּמָשַׁחְתָּand you will anointאֶת־הַכִּיֹּרthe laverוְאֶת־כַּנּוֹand its baseוְקִדַּשְׁתָּand you will consecrateאֹתוֹ׃it

    And thou shalt anoint the laver and his foot, and sanctify it.

  12. 12

    וְהִקְרַבְתָּand you will bring nearאֶת־אַהֲרֹןAaronוְאֶת־בָּנָיוand his sonsאֶל־פֶּתַחto the door ofאֹהֶלtent ofמוֹעֵדthe congregationוְרָחַצְתָּand you will washאֹתָםthemבַּמָּיִם׃in the water

    And thou shalt bring Aaron and his sons unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and wash them with water.

  13. 13

    וְהִלְבַּשְׁתָּand you will clotheאֶת־אַהֲרֹןAaronאֵת־בִּגְדֵיgarments ofהַקֹּדֶשׁthe sanctuaryוּמָשַׁחְתָּand you will anointאֹתוֹhimוְקִדַּשְׁתָּand you will consecrateאֹתוֹhimוְכִהֵןand he will serve as a priestלִי׃to me

    And thou shalt put upon Aaron the holy garments, and anoint him, and sanctify him; that he may minister unto me in the priest's office.

  14. 14

    וְאֶת־בָּנָיוand his sonsתַּקְרִיבyou will bring nearוְהִלְבַּשְׁתָּand you will clotheאֹתָםthemכֻּתֳּנֹת׃tunics

    And thou shalt bring his sons, and clothe them with coats:

  15. 15

    וּמָשַׁחְתָּand you will anointאֹתָםthemכַּאֲשֶׁרasמָשַׁחְתָּyou anointedאֶת־אֲבִיהֶםtheir fatherוְכִהֲנוּand they shall serve as priestsלִיto meוְהָיְתָהand it shall beלִהְיֹתto beלָהֶםto themמׇשְׁחָתָםtheir anointingלִכְהֻנַּתfor a priesthood ofעוֹלָםeternalלְדֹרֹתָם׃for their generations

    And thou shalt anoint them, as thou didst anoint their father, that they may minister unto me in the priest's office: for their anointing shall surely be an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations.

    וַיַּעַשׂand didמֹשֶׁהMosesכְּכֹלaccording to allאֲשֶׁרwhichצִוָּהcommandedיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֹתוֹhimכֵּןthusעָשָׂה׃he did

    Thus did Moses: according to all that the LORD commanded him, so did he.

    וַיְהִיand it came to passבַּחֹדֶשׁin the monthהָרִאשׁוֹןthe firstבַּשָּׁנָהin the yearהַשֵּׁנִיתthe secondבְּאֶחָדin oneלַחֹדֶשׁof the monthהוּקַםwas set upהַמִּשְׁכָּן׃the tabernacle

    And it came to pass in the first month in the second year, on the first day of the month, that the tabernacle was reared up.

  18. 18

    וַיָּקֶםand set upמֹשֶׁהMosesאֶת־הַמִּשְׁכָּןthe tabernacleוַיִּתֵּןand he putאֶת־אֲדָנָיוits basesוַיָּשֶׂםand he setאֶת־קְרָשָׁיוits framesוַיִּתֵּןand he putאֶת־בְּרִיחָיוits barsוַיָּקֶםand he set upאֶת־עַמּוּדָיו׃its pillars

    And Moses reared up the tabernacle, and fastened his sockets, and set up the boards thereof, and put in the bars thereof, and reared up his pillars.

    וַיִּפְרֹשׂand he spread outאֶת־הָאֹהֶלthe tentעַל־הַמִּשְׁכָּןupon the tabernacleוַיָּשֶׂםand he setאֶת־מִכְסֵהthe covering ofהָאֹהֶלthe tentעָלָיוupon itמִלְמָעְלָהfrom aboveכַּאֲשֶׁרasצִוָּהcommandedיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֶת־מֹשֶׁה׃Moses

    And he spread abroad the tent over the tabernacle, and put the covering of the tent above upon it; as the LORD commanded Moses.

  20. 20

    וַיִּקַּחand tookוַיִּתֵּןand he putאֶת־הָעֵדֻתthe testimonyאֶל־הָאָרֹןto the arkוַיָּשֶׂםand he setאֶת־הַבַּדִּיםthe polesעַל־הָאָרֹןupon the arkוַיִּתֵּןand he putאֶת־הַכַּפֹּרֶתthe mercy seatעַל־הָאָרֹןupon the arkמִלְמָעְלָה׃from above

    And he took and put the testimony into the ark, and set the staves on the ark, and put the mercy seat above upon the ark:

    וַיָּבֵאand he broughtאֶת־הָאָרֹןthe arkאֶל־הַמִּשְׁכָּןto the tabernacleוַיָּשֶׂםand he setאֵת־פָּרֹכֶתthe veil ofהַמָּסָךְthe curtainוַיָּסֶךְand he coveredעַלuponאֲרוֹןthe ark ofהָעֵדוּתthe testimonyכַּאֲשֶׁרasצִוָּהcommandedיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֶת־מֹשֶׁה׃Moses

    And he brought the ark into the tabernacle, and set up the vail of the covering, and covered the ark of the testimony; as the LORD commanded Moses.

  22. 22

    וַיִּתֵּןand he putאֶת־הַשֻּׁלְחָןthe tableבְּאֹהֶלin the tent ofמוֹעֵדthe congregationעַלuponיֶרֶךְthe side ofהַמִּשְׁכָּןthe tabernacleצָפֹנָהnorthwardמִחוּץwithoutלַפָּרֹכֶת׃to the veil

    And he put the table in the tent of the congregation, upon the side of the tabernacle northward, without the vail.

  23. 23

    וַיַּעֲרֹךְand he arrangedעָלָיוupon itעֵרֶךְan arrangement ofלֶחֶםbreadלִפְנֵיbeforeיְהֹוָהthe LORDכַּאֲשֶׁרasצִוָּהcommandedיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֶת־מֹשֶׁה׃Moses

    And he set the bread in order upon it before the LORD; as the LORD had commanded Moses.

    וַיָּשֶׂםand he setאֶת־הַמְּנֹרָהthe lampstandבְּאֹהֶלin the tent ofמוֹעֵדthe congregationנֹכַחopposite toהַשֻּׁלְחָןthe tableעַלuponיֶרֶךְthe side ofהַמִּשְׁכָּןthe tabernacleנֶגְבָּה׃southward

    And he put the candlestick in the tent of the congregation, over against the table, on the side of the tabernacle southward.

  25. 25

    וַיַּעַלand he set upהַנֵּרֹתthe lampsלִפְנֵיbeforeיְהֹוָהthe LORDכַּאֲשֶׁרasצִוָּהcommandedיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֶת־מֹשֶׁה׃Moses

    And he lighted the lamps before the LORD; as the LORD commanded Moses.

  26. 26

    וַיָּשֶׂםand he setאֶת־מִזְבַּחthe altar ofהַזָּהָבthe goldבְּאֹהֶלin the tent ofמוֹעֵדthe congregationלִפְנֵיbeforeהַפָּרֹכֶת׃the veil

    And he put the golden altar in the tent of the congregation before the vail:

  27. 27

    וַיַּקְטֵרand he burnedעָלָיוupon itקְטֹרֶתincense ofסַמִּיםperfumeכַּאֲשֶׁרasצִוָּהcommandedיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֶת־מֹשֶׁה׃Moses

    And he burnt sweet incense thereon; as the LORD commanded Moses.

  28. 28

    וַיָּשֶׂםand he setאֶת־מָסַךְthe curtain ofהַפֶּתַחthe doorלַמִּשְׁכָּן׃for the tabernacle

    And he set up the hanging at the door of the tabernacle.

  29. 29

    וְאֵתandמִזְבַּחthe altar ofהָעֹלָהthe burnt offeringשָׂםsetפֶּתַחdoor ofמִשְׁכַּןthe tabernacle ofאֹהֶל־מוֹעֵדtent of the congregationוַיַּעַלand he offered upעָלָיוupon itאֶת־הָעֹלָהthe burnt offeringוְאֶת־הַמִּנְחָהand the grain offeringכַּאֲשֶׁרasצִוָּהcommandedיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֶת־מֹשֶׁה׃Moses

    And he put the altar of burnt offering by the door of the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation, and offered upon it the burnt offering and the meat offering; as the LORD commanded Moses.

  30. 30

    וַיָּשֶׂםand he setאֶת־הַכִּיֹּרthe laverבֵּין־אֹהֶלbetween tent ofמוֹעֵדthe congregationוּבֵיןand betweenהַמִּזְבֵּחַthe altarוַיִּתֵּןand he putשָׁמָּהthereמַיִםwaterלְרׇחְצָה׃for washing

    And he set the laver between the tent of the congregation and the altar, and put water there, to wash withal.

  31. 31

    וְרָחֲצוּand they will washמִמֶּנּוּfrom itמֹשֶׁהMosesוְאַהֲרֹןand Aaronוּבָנָיוand his sonsאֶת־יְדֵיהֶםtheir handsוְאֶת־רַגְלֵיהֶם׃and their feet

    And Moses and Aaron and his sons washed their hands and their feet thereat:

  32. 32

    בְּבֹאָםupon enteringאֶל־אֹהֶלto the tent ofמוֹעֵדthe congregationוּבְקׇרְבָתָםand when they drew nearאֶל־הַמִּזְבֵּחַto the altarיִרְחָצוּthey shall washכַּאֲשֶׁרasצִוָּהcommandedיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֶת־מֹשֶׁה׃Moses

    When they went into the tent of the congregation, and when they came near unto the altar, they washed; as the LORD commanded Moses.

  33. 33

    וַיָּקֶםand he set upאֶת־הֶחָצֵרthe courtyardסָבִיבall aroundלַמִּשְׁכָּןfor the tabernacleוְלַמִּזְבֵּחַand for the altarוַיִּתֵּןand he putאֶת־מָסַךְthe curtain ofשַׁעַרthe gate ofהֶחָצֵרthe courtyardוַיְכַלand had made an end ofמֹשֶׁהMosesאֶת־הַמְּלָאכָה׃the work

    And he reared up the court round about the tabernacle and the altar, and set up the hanging of the court gate. So Moses finished the work.

  34. 34

    וַיְכַסand it coveredהֶעָנָןthe cloudאֶת־אֹהֶלthe tent ofמוֹעֵדthe congregationוּכְבוֹדand glory ofיְהֹוָהthe LORDמָלֵאfilledאֶת־הַמִּשְׁכָּן׃the tabernacle

    Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.

  35. 35

    וְלֹא־יָכֹלand could notמֹשֶׁהMosesלָבוֹאto comeאֶל־אֹהֶלto the tent ofמוֹעֵדthe congregationכִּי־שָׁכַןbecause it settledעָלָיוupon itהֶעָנָןthe cloudוּכְבוֹדand glory ofיְהֹוָהthe LORDמָלֵאfilledאֶת־הַמִּשְׁכָּן׃the tabernacle

    And Moses was not able to enter into the tent of the congregation, because the cloud abode thereon, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.

  36. 36

    וּבְהֵעָלוֹתand when was taken upהֶעָנָןthe cloudמֵעַלfrom uponהַמִּשְׁכָּןthe tabernacleיִסְעוּthey set outבְּנֵיthe sons ofיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelבְּכֹלin allמַסְעֵיהֶם׃their journeys

    And when the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the children of Israel went onward in all their journeys:

  37. 37

    וְאִם־לֹאand if notיֵעָלֶהit was taken upהֶעָנָןthe cloudוְלֹאand notיִסְעוּthey set outעַד־יוֹםuntil the day ofהֵעָלֹתוֹ׃its being taken up

    But if the cloud were not taken up, then they journeyed not till the day that it was taken up.

  38. 38

    כִּיforעֲנַןthe cloud ofיְהֹוָהthe LORDעַל־הַמִּשְׁכָּןupon the tabernacleיוֹמָםby dayוְאֵשׁand fireתִּהְיֶהshall beלַיְלָהnightבּוֹin itלְעֵינֵיbefore the eyes ofכׇל־בֵּית־יִשְׂרָאֵלall house of Israelבְּכׇל־מַסְעֵיהֶם׃in all their journeys

    For the cloud of the LORD was upon the tabernacle by day, and fire was on it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.
