   And the LORD said unto Joshua, Fear not, neither be thou dismayed: take all the people of war with thee, and arise, go up to Ai: see, I have given into thy hand the king of Ai, and his people, and his city, and his land:

   And thou shalt do to Ai and her king as thou didst unto Jericho and her king: only the spoil thereof, and the cattle thereof, shall ye take for a prey unto yourselves: lay thee an ambush for the city behind it.

   So Joshua arose, and all the people of war, to go up against Ai: and Joshua chose out thirty thousand mighty men of valour, and sent them away by night.

   וַיְצַוvay/TSAVand commandedאֹתָםo/TAMthemלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingרְאוּre/Useeאַתֶּםat/TEMyouאֹרְבִיםor/VIMshall lie in ambushלָעִירla/IRagainst the cityמֵאַחֲרֵיme/a/cha/REbehindהָעִירha/IRthe cityאַל־תַּרְחִיקוּal-tar/CHI/kudo not go farמִן־הָעִירmin-ha/IRfrom the cityמְאֹדme/ODveryוִהְיִיתֶםvih/yi/TEMbut beכֻּלְּכֶםkul/le/KHEMall of youנְכֹנִים׃ne/kho/NIMready

   And he commanded them, saying, Behold, ye shall lie in wait against the city, even behind the city: go not very far from the city, but be ye all ready:

   וַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iוְכׇל־הָעָםve/KHOL-ha/AMand all the peopleאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwho areאִתִּיit/TIwith meנִקְרַבnik/RAVwill approachאֶל־הָעִירel-ha/IRto the cityוְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall beכִּי־יֵצְאוּki-yets/Uwhen they come outלִקְרָאתֵנוּlik/ra/TE/nuto meet usכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasבָּרִאשֹׁנָהba/ri/sho/NAthe first timeוְנַסְנוּve/NAS/nuthat we will fleeלִפְנֵיהֶם׃lif/ne/HEMbefore them

   And I, and all the people that are with me, will approach unto the city: and it shall come to pass, when they come out against us, as at the first, that we will flee before them,

   וְיָצְאוּve/ya/tse/Ufor they will come outאַחֲרֵינוּa/cha/RE/nuafter usעַדaduntilהַתִּיקֵנוּhat/ti/KE/nuwe have drawnאוֹתָםo/TAMthemמִן־הָעִירmin-ha/IRfrom the cityכִּיkiforיֹאמְרוּyo/me/RUthey will sayנָסִיםna/SIMthey are fleeingלְפָנֵינוּle/fa/NE/nubefore usכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasבָּרִאשֹׁנָהba/ri/sho/NAthe first timeוְנַסְנוּve/NAS/nuso we will fleeלִפְנֵיהֶם׃lif/ne/HEMbefore them

   (For they will come out after us) till we have drawn them from the city; for they will say, They flee before us, as at the first: therefore we will flee before them.

   וְאַתֶּםve/at/TEMand youתָּקֻמוּta/KU/mushall rise upמֵהָאוֹרֵבme/ha/o/REVfrom the ambushוְהוֹרַשְׁתֶּםve/ho/rash/TEMand seizeאֶת־הָעִירet-ha/IRthe cityוּנְתָנָהּu/ne/ta/NAfor will give itיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶםe/lo/he/KHEMyour Godבְּיֶדְכֶם׃be/yed/KHEMinto your hands

   Then ye shall rise up from the ambush, and seize upon the city: for the LORD your God will deliver it into your hand.

8. 8

   וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall beכְּתׇפְשְׂכֶםke/tof/se/KHEMwhen you have seizedאֶת־הָעִירet-ha/IRthe cityתַּצִּיתוּtats/TSI/tuthat you shall setאֶת־הָעִירet-ha/IRthe cityבָּאֵשׁba/ESHon fireכִּדְבַרkid/VARaccording to the word ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDתַּעֲשׂוּta/a/SUyou shall doרְאוּre/Useeצִוִּיתִיtsiv/VI/tiI have commandedאֶתְכֶם׃et/KHEMyou

   And it shall be, when ye have taken the city, that ye shall set the city on fire: according to the commandment of the LORD shall ye do. See, I have commanded you.

   וַיִּשְׁלָחֵםvay/yish/la/CHEMand sent themיְהוֹשֻׁעַYe/ho/SHU/aJoshuaוַיֵּלְכוּvay/yel/KHUand they wentאֶל־הַמַּאְרָבel-ham/ma/RAVto the ambushוַיֵּשְׁבוּvay/yesh/VUand stayedבֵּיןbenbetweenבֵּית־אֵלBet-elBeth-elוּבֵיןu/VENand betweenהָעַיHa/AYAiמִיָּםmiy/YAMwest ofלָעָיLa/AYAiוַיָּלֶןvay/YA/lenand lodgedיְהוֹשֻׁעַYe/ho/SHU/aJoshuaבַּלַּיְלָהbal/LAY/lain the nightהַהוּאha/HUthatבְּתוֹךְbe/TOKHamongהָעָם׃ha/AMthe people

   Joshua therefore sent them forth: and they went to lie in ambush, and abode between Beth-el and Ai, on the west side of Ai: but Joshua lodged that night among the people.

    וַיַּשְׁכֵּםvay/yash/KEMand rose earlyיְהוֹשֻׁעַYe/ho/SHU/aJoshuaבַּבֹּקֶרbab/BO/kerin the morningוַיִּפְקֹדvay/yif/KODand musteredאֶת־הָעָםet-ha/AMthe peopleוַיַּעַלvay/YA/aland went upהוּאhuheוְזִקְנֵיve/zik/NEand the elders ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeהָעָםha/AMthe peopleהָעָי׃ha/AYto Ai

    And Joshua rose up early in the morning, and numbered the people, and went up, he and the elders of Israel, before the people to Ai.

11. 11

    וְכׇל־הָעָםve/KHOL-ha/AMand all the people ofהַמִּלְחָמָהham/mil/cha/MAwarאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwho wereאִתּוֹit/TOwith himעָלוּa/LUwent upוַיִּגְּשׁוּvay/yig/ge/SHUand drew nearוַיָּבֹאוּvay/ya/VO/uand they cameנֶגֶדNE/gedbeforeהָעִירha/IRthe cityוַיַּחֲנוּvay/ya/cha/NUand they encampedמִצְּפוֹןmits/tse/FONon the north ofלָעַיLa/AYAiוְהַגַּיve/hag/GAYnow the valley wasבֵּינָוbe/NAVbetween themוּבֵין־הָעָי׃u/VEN-ha/AYand between Ai

    And all the people, even the people of war that were with him, went up, and drew nigh, and came before the city, and pitched on the north side of Ai: now there was a valley between them and Ai.

12. 12

    וַיִּקַּחvay/yik/KACHand tookכַּחֲמֵשֶׁתka/cha/ME/shetabout fiveאֲלָפִיםa/la/FIMthousandאִישׁishmenוַיָּשֶׂםvay/YA/semand setאוֹתָםo/TAMthemאֹרֵבo/REVin ambushבֵּיןbenbetweenבֵּית־אֵלBet-elBeth-elוּבֵיןu/VENand betweenהָעַיHa/AYAiמִיָּםmiy/YAMwest ofלָעִיר׃la/IRthe city

    And he took about five thousand men, and set them to lie in ambush between Beth-el and Ai, on the west side of the city.

13. 13

    וַיָּשִׂימוּvay/ya/SI/muand they setהָעָםha/AMthe peopleאֶת־כׇּל־הַמַּחֲנֶהet-kol-ham/ma/cha/NEall the campאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat wasמִצְּפוֹןmits/tse/FONon the north ofלָעִירla/IRthe cityוְאֶת־עֲקֵבוֹve/ET-a/ke/VOand its rearמִיָּםmiy/YAMwest ofלָעִירla/IRthe cityוַיֵּלֶךְvay/YE/lekhand wentיְהוֹשֻׁעַYe/ho/SHU/aJoshuaבַּלַּיְלָהbal/LAY/lain the nightהַהוּאha/HUthatבְּתוֹךְbe/TOKHinto the midst ofהָעֵמֶק׃ha/E/mekthe valley

    And when they had set the people, even all the host that was on the north of the city, and their liers in wait on the west of the city, Joshua went that night into the midst of the valley.

14. 14

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passכִּרְאוֹתkir/OTwhen sawמֶלֶךְ־הָעַיME/lekh-Ha/AYthe king of Aiוַיְמַהֲרוּvay/ma/ha/RUthat they hurriedוַיַּשְׁכִּימוּvay/yash/KI/muand they rose earlyוַיֵּצְאוּvay/yets/Uand went outאַנְשֵׁי־הָעִירan/SHE-ha/IRthe men of the cityלִקְרַאת־יִשְׂרָאֵלlik/RAT-Yis/ra/ELto meet Israelלַמִּלְחָמָהlam/mil/cha/MAto battleהוּאhuheוְכׇל־עַמּוֹve/KHOL-am/MOand all his peopleלַמּוֹעֵדlam/mo/EDat the appointed placeלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeהָעֲרָבָהha/A/ra/VAthe Arabahוְהוּאve/HUand heלֹאlonotיָדַעya/DAknewכִּי־אֹרֵבki-o/REVthat there was an ambushלוֹloagainst himמֵאַחֲרֵיme/a/cha/REbehindהָעִיר׃ha/IRthe city

    And it came to pass, when the king of Ai saw it, that they hasted and rose up early, and the men of the city went out against Israel to battle, he and all his people, at a time appointed, before the plain; but he wist not that there were liers in ambush against him behind the city.

15. 15

    וַיִּנָּגְעוּvay/yin/na/ge/Uand let themselves be beatenיְהוֹשֻׁעַYe/ho/SHU/aJoshuaוְכׇל־יִשְׂרָאֵלve/KHOL-yis/ra/ELand all Israelלִפְנֵיהֶםlif/ne/HEMbefore themוַיָּנֻסוּvay/ya/NU/suand they fledדֶּרֶךְDE/rekhthe way ofהַמִּדְבָּר׃ham/mid/BARthe wilderness

    And Joshua and all Israel made as if they were beaten before them, and fled by the way of the wilderness.

16. 16

    וַיִּזָּעֲקוּvay/yiz/za/a/KUand were called togetherכׇּל־הָעָםkol-ha/AMall the peopleאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwho were(בעיר)vyar[בָּעַי]Ba/AYin Aiלִרְדֹּףlir/DOFto pursueאַחֲרֵיהֶםa/cha/re/HEMafter themוַיִּרְדְּפוּvay/yir/de/FUand they pursuedאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterיְהוֹשֻׁעַYe/ho/SHU/aJoshuaוַיִּנָּתְקוּvay/yin/na/te/KUand were drawn awayמִן־הָעִיר׃min-ha/IRfrom the city

    And all the people that were in Ai were called together to pursue after them: and they pursued after Joshua, and were drawn away from the city.

    וְלֹא־נִשְׁאַרve/LO-nish/ARand there was not leftאִישׁisha manבָּעַיba/AYin Aiוּבֵיתu/VETand Beth-אֵלelelאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoלֹא־יָצְאוּlo-ya/tse/Udid not go outאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelוַיַּעַזְבוּvay/ya/az/VUand they leftאֶת־הָעִירet-ha/IRthe cityפְּתוּחָהpe/tu/CHAopenוַיִּרְדְּפוּvay/yir/de/FUand pursuedאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

    And there was not a man left in Ai or Beth-el, that went not out after Israel: and they left the city open, and pursued after Israel.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־יְהוֹשֻׁעַel-Ye/ho/SHU/ato Joshuaנְטֵהne/TEstretch outבַּכִּידוֹןbak/ki/DONthe javelinאֲשֶׁר־בְּיָדְךָa/SHER-be/ya/de/KHAthat is in your handאֶל־הָעַיel-Ha/AYtoward Aiכִּיkiforבְיָדְךָve/ya/de/KHAinto your handאֶתְּנֶנָּהet/te/NEN/naI will give itוַיֵּטvay/YETand stretched outיְהוֹשֻׁעַYe/ho/SHU/aJoshuaבַּכִּידוֹןbak/ki/DONthe javelinאֲשֶׁר־בְּיָדוֹa/SHER-be/ya/DOthat was in his handאֶל־הָעִיר׃el-ha/IRtoward the city

    And the LORD said unto Joshua, Stretch out the spear that is in thy hand toward Ai; for I will give it into thine hand. And Joshua stretched out the spear that he had in his hand toward the city.

19. 19

    וְהָאוֹרֵבve/ha/o/REVand the ambushקָםkamroseמְהֵרָהme/he/RAquicklyמִמְּקוֹמוֹmim/me/ko/MOfrom its placeוַיָּרוּצוּvay/ya/RU/tsuand they ranכִּנְטוֹתkin/TOTas soon as he stretched outיָדוֹya/DOhis handוַיָּבֹאוּvay/ya/VO/uand enteredהָעִירha/IRthe cityוַיִּלְכְּדוּהָvay/yil/ke/DU/haand took itוַיְמַהֲרוּvay/ma/ha/RUand hastenedוַיַּצִּיתוּvay/yats/TSI/tuand setאֶת־הָעִירet-ha/IRthe cityבָּאֵשׁ׃ba/ESHon fire

    And the ambush arose quickly out of their place, and they ran as soon as he had stretched out his hand: and they entered into the city, and took it, and hasted and set the city on fire.

    וַיִּפְנוּvay/yif/NUand when lookedאַנְשֵׁיan/SHEthe men ofהָעַיHa/AYAiאַחֲרֵיהֶםa/cha/re/HEMbehind themוַיִּרְאוּvay/yir/Uand they sawוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdעָלָהa/LAwent upעֲשַׁןa/SHANthe smoke ofהָעִירha/IRthe cityהַשָּׁמַיְמָהhash/sha/MAY/mato heavenוְלֹא־הָיָהve/LO-HA/yaand there was notבָהֶםva/HEMamong themיָדַיִםya/DA/yimpowerלָנוּסla/NUSto fleeהֵנָּהHEN/nathis wayוָהֵנָּהva/HEN/naor that wayוְהָעָםve/ha/AMand the peopleהַנָּסhan/NASwho fledהַמִּדְבָּרham/mid/BARto the wildernessנֶהְפַּךְneh/PAKHturned backאֶל־הָרוֹדֵף׃el-ha/ro/DEFupon the pursuers

    And when the men of Ai looked behind them, they saw, and, behold, the smoke of the city ascended up to heaven, and they had no power to flee this way or that way: and the people that fled to the wilderness turned back upon the pursuers.

    וִיהוֹשֻׁעַVi/ho/SHU/aand Joshuaוְכׇל־יִשְׂרָאֵלve/KHOL-yis/ra/ELand all Israelרָאוּra/Usawכִּי־לָכַדki-la/KHADthat had takenהָאֹרֵבha/o/REVthe ambushאֶת־הָעִירet-ha/IRthe cityוְכִיve/KHIand thatעָלָהa/LAwent upעֲשַׁןa/SHANthe smoke ofהָעִירha/IRthe cityוַיָּשֻׁבוּvay/ya/SHU/vuthen they turned backוַיַּכּוּvay/yak/KUand they struckאֶת־אַנְשֵׁיet-an/SHEthe men ofהָעָי׃Ha/AYAi

    And when Joshua and all Israel saw that the ambush had taken the city, and that the smoke of the city ascended, then they turned again, and slew the men of Ai.

22. 22

    וְאֵלֶּהve/EL/leand the othersיָצְאוּya/tse/Ucame outמִן־הָעִירmin-ha/IRfrom the cityלִקְרָאתָםlik/ra/TAMagainst themוַיִּהְיוּvay/yih/YUso they wereלְיִשְׂרָאֵלle/Yis/ra/ELof Israelבַּתָּוֶךְbat/TA/vekhin the midstאֵלֶּהEL/lesomeמִזֶּהmiz/ZEon this sideוְאֵלֶּהve/EL/leand someמִזֶּהmiz/ZEon that sideוַיַּכּוּvay/yak/KUand they struckאוֹתָםo/TAMthemעַד־בִּלְתִּיad-bil/TIuntil notהִשְׁאִיר־לוֹhish/IR-lowas leftשָׂרִידsa/RIDa survivorוּפָלִיט׃u/fa/LITor fugitive

    And the other issued out of the city against them; so they were in the midst of Israel, some on this side, and some on that side: and they smote them, so that they let none of them remain or escape.

23. 23

    וְאֶת־מֶלֶךְve/ET-ME/lekhand king ofהָעַיHa/AYAiתָּפְשׂוּTAF/suthey tookחָיchayaliveוַיַּקְרִבוּvay/yak/RI/vuand they presentedאֹתוֹo/TOhimאֶל־יְהוֹשֻׁעַ׃el-Ye/ho/SHU/ato Joshua

    And the king of Ai they took alive, and brought him to Joshua.

24. 24

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passכְּכַלּוֹתke/khal/LOTwhen had finishedיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelלַהֲרֹגla/ha/ROGkillingאֶת־כׇּל־יֹשְׁבֵיet-kol-yosh/VEall the inhabitants ofהָעַיha/AYto Aiבַּשָּׂדֶהbas/sa/DEin the fieldבַּמִּדְבָּרbam/mid/BARin the wildernessאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhereרְדָפוּםre/da/FUMthey pursued themבּוֹbothereוַיִּפְּלוּvay/yip/pe/LUand had all fallenכֻלָּםkhul/LAMall of themלְפִי־חֶרֶבle/FI-CHE/revby the edge of the swordעַד־תֻּמָּםad-tum/MAMuntil they were consumedוַיָּשֻׁבוּvay/ya/SHU/vuthat returnedכׇל־יִשְׂרָאֵלkhol-Yis/ra/ELall IsraelהָעַיHa/AYAiוַיַּכּוּvay/yak/KUand they struckאֹתָהּo/TAitלְפִי־חָרֶב׃le/FI-CHA/revwith the edge of the sword

    And it came to pass, when Israel had made an end of slaying all the inhabitants of Ai in the field, in the wilderness wherein they chased them, and when they were all fallen on the edge of the sword, until they were consumed, that all the Israelites returned unto Ai, and smote it with the edge of the sword.

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand wereכׇל־הַנֹּפְלִיםkhol-han/nof/LIMall who fellבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMon the dayהַהוּאha/HUthatמֵאִישׁme/ISHboth menוְעַד־אִשָּׁהve/AD-ish/SHAand womenשְׁנֵים־עָשָׂרshe/NEM-a/SARtwelveאָלֶףA/lefthousandכֹּלkolallאַנְשֵׁיan/SHEthe men ofהָעָי׃Ha/AYAi

    And so it was, that all that fell that day, both of men and women, were twelve thousand, even all the men of Ai.

26. 26

    וִיהוֹשֻׁעַVi/ho/SHU/aand Joshuaלֹא־הֵשִׁיבlo-he/SHIVdid not draw backיָדוֹya/DOhis handאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwith whichנָטָהna/TAhe stretched outבַּכִּידוֹןbak/ki/DONthe javelinעַדaduntilאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatהֶחֱרִיםhe/che/RIMhe had utterly destroyedאֵת־כׇּל־יֹשְׁבֵיet-kol-yosh/VEall the inhabitants ofהָעָי׃Ha/AYAi

    For Joshua drew not his hand back, wherewith he stretched out the spear, until he had utterly destroyed all the inhabitants of Ai.

    רַקrakonlyהַבְּהֵמָהhab/be/he/MAthe livestockוּשְׁלַלu/she/LALand the spoil ofהָעִירha/IRthe cityהַהִיאha/HIthatבָּזְזוּba/ze/ZUtook as plunderלָהֶםla/HEMfor themselvesיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelכִּדְבַרkid/VARaccording to the word ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichצִוָּהtsiv/VAcommandedאֶת־יְהוֹשֻׁעַ׃et-Ye/ho/SHU/aJoshua

    Only the cattle and the spoil of that city Israel took for a prey unto themselves, according unto the word of the LORD which he commanded Joshua.

28. 28

    וַיִּשְׂרֹףvay/yis/ROFand burnedיְהוֹשֻׁעַYe/ho/SHU/aJoshuaאֶת־הָעָיet-Ha/AYAiוַיְשִׂימֶהָvay/si/ME/haand he made itתֵּל־עוֹלָםtel-o/LAMa mound foreverשְׁמָמָהshe/ma/MAa desolationעַדadtoהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthe dayהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

    And Joshua burnt Ai, and made it an heap for ever, even a desolation unto this day.

29. 29

    And the king of Ai he hanged on a tree until eventide: and as soon as the sun was down, Joshua commanded that they should take his carcase down from the tree, and cast it at the entering of the gate of the city, and raise thereon a great heap of stones, that remaineth unto this day.

    Then Joshua built an altar unto the LORD God of Israel in mount Ebal,

31. 31

    כַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasצִוָּהtsiv/VAcommandedמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesעֶבֶד־יְהֹוָהE/ved-Adonaithe servant of the LORDאֶת־בְּנֵיet-be/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelכַּכָּתוּבkak/ka/TUVas it is writtenבְּסֵפֶרbe/SE/ferin the book ofתּוֹרַתto/RATthe law ofמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesמִזְבַּחmiz/BACHan altar ofאֲבָנִיםa/va/NIMstonesשְׁלֵמוֹתshe/le/MOTwholeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichלֹא־הֵנִיףlo-he/NIFhad not wieldedעֲלֵיהֶןa/le/HENupon themבַּרְזֶלbar/ZELironוַיַּעֲלוּvay/ya/a/LUand they offeredעָלָיוa/LAYVupon itעֹלוֹתo/LOTburnt offeringsלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaito the LORDוַיִּזְבְּחוּvay/yiz/be/CHUand sacrificedשְׁלָמִים׃she/la/MIMpeace offerings

    As Moses the servant of the LORD commanded the children of Israel, as it is written in the book of the law of Moses, an altar of whole stones, over which no man hath lift up any iron: and they offered thereon burnt offerings unto the LORD, and sacrificed peace offerings.

32. 32

    וַיִּכְתׇּב־שָׁםvay/yikh/TOV-shamand he wrote thereעַל־הָאֲבָנִיםal-ha/a/va/NIMon the stonesאֵת־מִשְׁנֵהet-mish/NEa copy ofתּוֹרַתto/RATthe law ofמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichכָּתַבka/TAVhe had writtenלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

    And he wrote there upon the stones a copy of the law of Moses, which he wrote in the presence of the children of Israel.

33. 33

    וְכׇל־יִשְׂרָאֵלve/KHOL-yis/ra/ELand all Israelוּזְקֵנָיוu/ze/ke/NAYVand its eldersוְשֹׁטְרִיםve/shot/RIMand officersוְשֹׁפְטָיוve/shof/TAYVand its judgesעֹמְדִיםom/DIMstandingמִזֶּהmiz/ZEon this sideוּמִזֶּהu/miz/ZEand on that sideלָאָרוֹןla/a/RONof the arkנֶגֶדNE/gedbeforeהַכֹּהֲנִיםhak/ko/ha/NIMthe priestsהַלְוִיִּםHal/viy/YIMthe Levitesנֹשְׂאֵיnos/Ewho carriedאֲרוֹןa/RONthe ark ofבְּרִית־יְהֹוָהbe/RIT-Adonaithe covenant of the LORDכַּגֵּרkag/GERthe stranger as wellכָּאֶזְרָחka/ez/RACHas the nativeחֶצְיוֹchets/YOhalf of themאֶל־מוּלel-mulin front ofהַר־גְּרִזִיםHar-ge/ri/ZIMMount Gerizimוְהַחֶצְיוֹve/ha/chets/YOand half of themאֶל־מוּלel-mulin front ofהַר־עֵיבָלHar-e/VALMount Ebalכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasצִוָּהtsiv/VAcommandedמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesעֶבֶד־יְהֹוָהE/ved-Adonaithe servant of the LORDלְבָרֵךְle/va/REKHto blessאֶת־הָעָםet-ha/AMthe peopleיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelבָּרִאשֹׁנָה׃ba/ri/sho/NAat the first

    And all Israel, and their elders, and officers, and their judges, stood on this side the ark and on that side before the priests the Levites, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, as well the stranger, as he that was born among them; half of them over against mount Gerizim, and half of them over against mount Ebal; as Moses the servant of the LORD had commanded before, that they should bless the people of Israel.

34. 34

    וְאַחֲרֵי־כֵןve/a/cha/RE-khenand afterwardקָרָאka/RAhe readאֶת־כׇּל־דִּבְרֵיet-kol-div/REall the words ofהַתּוֹרָהhat/to/RAthe lawהַבְּרָכָהhab/be/ra/KHAthe blessingוְהַקְּלָלָהve/hak/ke/la/LAand the curseכְּכׇל־הַכָּתוּבke/KHOL-hak/ka/TUVaccording to all that is writtenבְּסֵפֶרbe/SE/ferin the book ofהַתּוֹרָה׃hat/to/RAthe law

    And afterward he read all the words of the law, the blessings and cursings, according to all that is written in the book of the law.

35. 35

    לֹא־הָיָהlo-ha/YAthere was notדָבָרda/VARa wordמִכֹּלmik/KOLof allאֲשֶׁר־צִוָּהa/SHER-tsiv/VAthat commandedמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichלֹא־קָרָאlo-ka/RAdid not readיְהוֹשֻׁעַYe/ho/SHU/aJoshuaנֶגֶדNE/gedbeforeכׇּל־קְהַלkol-ke/HALall the assembly ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelוְהַנָּשִׁיםve/han/na/SHIMand the womenוְהַטַּףve/hat/TAFand the little onesוְהַגֵּרve/hag/GERand the strangersהַהֹלֵךְha/ho/LEKHwho were livingבְּקִרְבָּם׃be/kir/BAMamong them

    There was not a word of all that Moses commanded, which Joshua read not before all the congregation of Israel, with the women, and the little ones, and the strangers that were conversant among them.
