   וַיַּשְׁכֵּםvay/yash/KEMand rose earlyיְהוֹשֻׁעַYe/ho/SHU/aJoshuaבַּבֹּקֶרbab/BO/kerin the morningוַיִּסְעוּvay/yis/Uand they set outמֵהַשִּׁטִּיםme/Hash/shit/TIMfrom Shittimוַיָּבֹאוּvay/ya/VO/uand they cameעַד־הַיַּרְדֵּןad-Hay/yar/DENto the Jordanהוּאhuheוְכׇל־בְּנֵיve/KHOL-be/NEand all the children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelוַיָּלִנוּvay/ya/LI/nuand lodgedשָׁםshamthereטֶרֶםTE/rembeforeיַעֲבֹרוּ׃ya/a/VO/ruthey crossed over

   And Joshua rose early in the morning; and they removed from Shittim, and came to Jordan, he and all the children of Israel, and lodged there before they passed over.

   וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passמִקְצֵהmik/TSEat the end ofשְׁלֹשֶׁתshe/LO/shetthreeיָמִיםya/MIMdaysוַיַּעַבְרוּvay/ya/av/RUthat wentהַשֹּׁטְרִיםhash/shot/RIMthe officersבְּקֶרֶבbe/KE/revthrough the midst ofהַמַּחֲנֶה׃ham/ma/cha/NEthe camp

   And it came to pass after three days, that the officers went through the host;

   וַיְצַוּוּvay/tsav/VUand they commandedאֶת־הָעָםet-ha/AMthe peopleלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingכִּרְאֹתְכֶםkir/ot/KHEMwhen you seeאֵת־אֲרוֹןet-a/RONthe ark ofבְּרִית־יְהֹוָהbe/RIT-Adonaithe covenant of the LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶםe/lo/he/KHEMyour Godוְהַכֹּהֲנִיםve/hak/ko/ha/NIMand the priestsהַלְוִיִּםHal/viy/YIMthe Levitesנֹשְׂאִיםnos/IMcarryingאֹתוֹo/TOitוְאַתֶּםve/at/TEMand youתִּסְעוּtis/Uthen you shall set outמִמְּקוֹמְכֶםmim/me/kom/KHEMfrom your placeוַהֲלַכְתֶּםva/ha/lakh/TEMand goאַחֲרָיו׃a/cha/RAYVafter it

   And they commanded the people, saying, When ye see the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, and the priests the Levites bearing it, then ye shall remove from your place, and go after it.

   Yet there shall be a space between you and it, about two thousand cubits by measure: come not near unto it, that ye may know the way by which ye must go: for ye have not passed this way heretofore.

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיְהוֹשֻׁעַYe/ho/SHU/aJoshuaאֶל־הָעָםel-ha/AMto the peopleהִתְקַדָּשׁוּhit/kad/DA/shuconsecrate yourselvesכִּיkiforמָחָרma/CHARtomorrowיַעֲשֶׂהya/a/SEshall doיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבְּקִרְבְּכֶםbe/kir/be/KHEMamong youנִפְלָאוֹת׃nif/la/OTwonders

   And Joshua said unto the people, Sanctify yourselves: for to morrow the LORD will do wonders among you.

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיְהוֹשֻׁעַYe/ho/SHU/aJoshuaאֶל־הַכֹּהֲנִיםel-hak/ko/ha/NIMto the priestsלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingשְׂאוּse/Utake upאֶת־אֲרוֹןet-a/RONthe ark ofהַבְּרִיתhab/be/RITthe covenantוְעִבְרוּve/iv/RUand pass overלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeהָעָםha/AMthe peopleוַיִּשְׂאוּvay/yis/Uand they took upאֶת־אֲרוֹןet-a/RONthe ark ofהַבְּרִיתhab/be/RITthe covenantוַיֵּלְכוּvay/yel/KHUand they wentלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeהָעָם׃ha/AMthe people

   And Joshua spake unto the priests, saying, Take up the ark of the covenant, and pass over before the people. And they took up the ark of the covenant, and went before the people.

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־יְהוֹשֻׁעַel-Ye/ho/SHU/ato Joshuaהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthe dayהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisאָחֵלa/CHELI will beginגַּדֶּלְךָgad/del/KHAto magnify youבְּעֵינֵיbe/e/NEin the eyes ofכׇּל־יִשְׂרָאֵלkol-Yis/ra/ELall Israelאֲשֶׁרa/SHERso thatיֵדְעוּןyed/UNthey may knowכִּיkithatכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasהָיִיתִיha/YI/tiI wasעִם־מֹשֶׁהim-Mo/SHEwith Mosesאֶהְיֶהeh/YEI will beעִמָּךְ׃im/MAKHwith you

   And the LORD said unto Joshua, This day will I begin to magnify thee in the sight of all Israel, that they may know that, as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee.

8. 8

   וְאַתָּהve/at/TAand youתְּצַוֶּהte/tsav/VEshall commandאֶת־הַכֹּהֲנִיםet-hak/ko/ha/NIMthe priestsנֹשְׂאֵיnos/Ewho carryאֲרוֹן־הַבְּרִיתa/RON-hab/be/RITthe ark of the covenantלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingכְּבֹאֲכֶםke/vo/a/KHEMwhen you comeעַד־קְצֵהad-ke/TSEto the edge ofמֵיmethe waters ofהַיַּרְדֵּןhay/Yar/DENthe Jordanבַּיַּרְדֵּןbay/Yar/DENin the Jordanתַּעֲמֹדוּ׃ta/a/MO/duyou shall stand

   And thou shalt command the priests that bear the ark of the covenant, saying, When ye are come to the brink of the water of Jordan, ye shall stand still in Jordan.

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיְהוֹשֻׁעַYe/ho/SHU/aJoshuaאֶל־בְּנֵיel-be/NEto the children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelגֹּשׁוּGO/shudraw nearהֵנָּהHEN/nahereוְשִׁמְעוּve/shim/Uand hearאֶת־דִּבְרֵיet-div/REthe words ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶם׃e/lo/he/KHEMyour God

   And Joshua said unto the children of Israel, Come hither, and hear the words of the LORD your God.

10. 10

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיְהוֹשֻׁעַYe/ho/SHU/aJoshuaבְּזֹאתbe/ZOTby thisתֵּדְעוּןted/UNyou shall knowכִּיkithatאֵלelthe Godחַיchaylivingבְּקִרְבְּכֶםbe/kir/be/KHEMamong youוְהוֹרֵשׁve/ho/RESHand drive outיוֹרִישׁyo/RISHHe will drive outמִפְּנֵיכֶםmip/pe/ne/KHEMfrom before youאֶת־הַכְּנַעֲנִיet-Hak/ke/na/a/NIthe Canaaniteוְאֶת־הַחִתִּיve/ET-ha/chit/TIand the Hittiteוְאֶת־הַחִוִּיve/ET-ha/chiv/VIand the Hiviteוְאֶת־הַפְּרִזִּיve/ET-hap/pe/riz/ZIand the Perizziteוְאֶת־הַגִּרְגָּשִׁיve/ET-hag/gir/ga/SHIand the Girgashiteוְהָאֱמֹרִיve/Ha/e/mo/RIand the Amoriteוְהַיְבוּסִי׃Ve/hay/vu/SIand the Jebusite

    And Joshua said, Hereby ye shall know that the living God is among you, and that he will without fail drive out from before you the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Hivites, and the Perizzites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Jebusites.

11. 11

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאֲרוֹןa/RONthe ark ofהַבְּרִיתhab/be/RITthe covenantאֲדוֹןa/DONthe Lord ofכׇּל־הָאָרֶץkol-ha/A/retsall the earthעֹבֵרo/VERpasses overלִפְנֵיכֶםlif/ne/KHEMbefore youבַּיַּרְדֵּן׃bay/Yar/DENin the Jordan

    Behold, the ark of the covenant of the Lord of all the earth passeth over before you into Jordan.

12. 12

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowקְחוּke/CHUtakeלָכֶםla/KHEMfor yourselvesשְׁנֵי־עָשָׂרshe/NE-a/SARtwelveאִישׁishmenמִשִּׁבְטֵיmish/shiv/TEfrom the tribes ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelאִישׁ־אֶחָדish-e/CHADone manאִישׁ־אֶחָדish-e/CHADone manלַשָּׁבֶט׃lash/SHA/vetfor each tribe

    Now therefore take you twelve men out of the tribes of Israel, out of every tribe a man.

13. 13

    וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall beכְּנוֹחַke/NO/achwhen restכַּפּוֹתkap/POTthe soles ofרַגְלֵיrag/LEthe feet ofהַכֹּהֲנִיםhak/ko/ha/NIMthe priestsנֹשְׂאֵיnos/Ewho carryאֲרוֹןa/RONthe ark ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֲדוֹןa/DONthe Lord ofכׇּל־הָאָרֶץkol-ha/A/retsall the earthבְּמֵיbe/MEin the waters ofהַיַּרְדֵּןhay/Yar/DENthe Jordanמֵיmethe waters ofהַיַּרְדֵּןhay/Yar/DENthe Jordanיִכָּרֵתוּןyik/ka/re/TUNshall be cut offהַמַּיִםham/MA/yimthe watersהַיֹּרְדִיםhay/yor/DIMthat come downמִלְמָעְלָהmil/MA/lafrom aboveוְיַעַמְדוּve/ya/am/DUand they shall standנֵדneda heapאֶחָד׃e/CHADone

    And it shall come to pass, as soon as the soles of the feet of the priests that bear the ark of the LORD, the Lord of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of Jordan, that the waters of Jordan shall be cut off from the waters that come down from above; and they shall stand upon an heap.

14. 14

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passבִּנְסֹעַbin/SO/awhen set outהָעָםha/AMthe peopleמֵאׇהֳלֵיהֶםme/o/ho/le/HEMfrom their tentsלַעֲבֹרla/a/VORto crossאֶת־הַיַּרְדֵּןet-Hay/yar/DENthe Jordanוְהַכֹּהֲנִיםve/hak/ko/ha/NIMand the priestsנֹשְׂאֵיnos/Ecarryingהָאָרוֹןha/a/RONthe ark ofהַבְּרִיתhab/be/RITthe covenantלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeהָעָם׃ha/AMthe people

    And it came to pass, when the people removed from their tents, to pass over Jordan, and the priests bearing the ark of the covenant before the people;

15. 15

    וּכְבוֹאu/khe/VOand when cameנֹשְׂאֵיnos/Ethose who carriedהָאָרוֹןha/a/RONthe arkעַד־הַיַּרְדֵּןad-Hay/yar/DENto the Jordanוְרַגְלֵיve/rag/LEand the feet ofהַכֹּהֲנִיםhak/ko/ha/NIMthe priestsנֹשְׂאֵיnos/Ewho carriedהָאָרוֹןha/a/RONthe arkנִטְבְּלוּnit/be/LUwere dippedבִּקְצֵהbik/TSEin the edge ofהַמָּיִםham/MA/yimthe waterוְהַיַּרְדֵּןve/hay/Yar/DENand the Jordanמָלֵאma/LEis fullעַל־כׇּל־גְּדוֹתָיוal-kol-ge/do/TAYVover all its banksכֹּלkolallיְמֵיye/MEthe days ofקָצִיר׃ka/TSIRharvest

    And as they that bare the ark were come unto Jordan, and the feet of the priests that bare the ark were dipped in the brim of the water, (for Jordan overfloweth all his banks all the time of harvest,)

16. 16

    וַיַּעַמְדוּvay/ya/am/DUand stoodהַמַּיִםham/MA/yimthe watersהַיֹּרְדִיםhay/yor/DIMthat came downמִלְמַעְלָהmil/MA/lafrom aboveקָמוּKA/murose upנֵד־אֶחָדned-e/CHADin one heapהַרְחֵקhar/CHEKfar offמְאֹדme/ODvery(באדם)vdam[מֵאָדָם]Me/a/DAMat Adamהָעִירha/IRthe cityאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichמִצַּדmits/TSADbesideצָרְתָןTsa/re/TANZaretanוְהַיֹּרְדִיםve/hay/yor/DIMand those that went downעַלaltowardיָםyamthe sea ofהָעֲרָבָהha/A/ra/VAthe Arabahיָם־הַמֶּלַחyam-Ham/ME/lachthe Salt SeaתַּמּוּTAM/mufailedנִכְרָתוּnikh/RA/tuwere cut offוְהָעָםve/ha/AMand the peopleעָבְרוּa/ve/RUpassed overנֶגֶדNE/gedoppositeיְרִיחוֹ׃Ye/ri/CHOJericho

    That the waters which came down from above stood and rose up upon an heap very far from the city Adam, that is beside Zaretan: and those that came down toward the sea of the plain, even the salt sea, failed, and were cut off: and the people passed over right against Jericho.

17. 17

    וַיַּעַמְדוּvay/ya/am/DUand stoodהַכֹּהֲנִיםhak/ko/ha/NIMthe priestsנֹשְׂאֵיnos/Ewho carriedהָאָרוֹןha/a/RONthe ark ofבְּרִית־יְהֹוָהbe/RIT-Adonaithe covenant of the LORDבֶּחָרָבָהbe/cha/ra/VAon dry groundבְּתוֹךְbe/TOKHin the midst ofהַיַּרְדֵּןhay/Yar/DENthe Jordanהָכֵןha/KHENfirmlyוְכׇל־יִשְׂרָאֵלve/KHOL-yis/ra/ELand all Israelעֹבְרִיםov/RIMpassed overבֶּחָרָבָהbe/cha/ra/VAon dry groundעַדaduntilאֲשֶׁר־תַּמּוּa/SHER-TAM/muhad finishedכׇּל־הַגּוֹיkol-hag/GOYall the nationלַעֲבֹרla/a/VORcrossingאֶת־הַיַּרְדֵּן׃et-Hay/yar/DENthe Jordan

    And the priests that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD stood firm on dry ground in the midst of Jordan, and all the Israelites passed over on dry ground, until all the people were passed clean over Jordan.
