   וַיִּקָּהֲלוּvay/yik/ka/ha/LUand assembledכׇּל־עֲדַתkol-a/DATthe whole congregation ofבְּנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵלbe/NE-yis/ra/ELthe children of IsraelשִׁלֹהShi/LOat Shilohוַיַּשְׁכִּינוּvay/yash/KI/nuand set upשָׁםshamthereאֶת־אֹהֶלet-O/heltent ofמוֹעֵדmo/EDmeetingוְהָאָרֶץve/ha/A/retsand the landנִכְבְּשָׁהnikh/be/SHAwas subduedלִפְנֵיהֶם׃lif/ne/HEMbefore them

   And the whole congregation of the children of Israel assembled together at Shiloh, and set up the tabernacle of the congregation there. And the land was subdued before them.

   וַיִּוָּתְרוּvay/yiv/VAT/ruand there remainedבִּבְנֵיbiv/NEamong the children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichלֹא־חָלְקוּlo-cha/le/KUhad not receivedאֶת־נַחֲלָתָםet-na/cha/la/TAMtheir inheritanceשִׁבְעָהshiv/Asevenשְׁבָטִים׃she/va/TIMtribes

   And there remained among the children of Israel seven tribes, which had not yet received their inheritance.

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיְהוֹשֻׁעַYe/ho/SHU/aJoshuaאֶל־בְּנֵיel-be/NEto the children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelעַד־אָנָהad-A/nahow longאַתֶּםat/TEMwill you beמִתְרַפִּיםmit/rap/PIMslackלָבוֹאla/VOto goלָרֶשֶׁתla/RE/shetto possessאֶת־הָאָרֶץet-ha/A/retsthe landאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichנָתַןna/TANgaveלָכֶםla/KHEMto youיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofאֲבוֹתֵיכֶם׃a/vo/te/KHEMyour fathers

   And Joshua said unto the children of Israel, How long are ye slack to go to possess the land, which the LORD God of your fathers hath given you?

   Give out from among you three men for each tribe: and I will send them, and they shall rise, and go through the land, and describe it according to the inheritance of them; and they shall come again to me.

   וְהִתְחַלְּקוּve/hit/chal/le/KUand they shall divideאֹתָהּo/TAitלְשִׁבְעָהle/shiv/Ainto sevenחֲלָקִיםcha/la/KIMpartsיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahיַעֲמֹדya/a/MODshall stayעַל־גְּבוּלוֹal-ge/vu/LOin its territoryמִנֶּגֶבmin/NE/gevon the southוּבֵיתu/VETand the house ofיוֹסֵףYo/SEFJosephיַעַמְדוּya/am/DUshall stayעַל־גְּבוּלָםal-ge/vu/LAMin their territoryמִצָּפוֹן׃mits/tsa/FONon the north

   And they shall divide it into seven parts: Judah shall abide in their coast on the south, and the house of Joseph shall abide in their coasts on the north.

   וְאַתֶּםve/at/TEMand youתִּכְתְּבוּtikh/te/VUshall describeאֶת־הָאָרֶץet-ha/A/retsthe landשִׁבְעָהshiv/Asevenחֲלָקִיםcha/la/KIMpartsוַהֲבֵאתֶםva/ha/ve/TEMand bringאֵלַיe/LAYto meהֵנָּהHEN/nahereוְיָרִיתִיve/ya/RI/tithat I may castלָכֶםla/KHEMfor youגּוֹרָלgo/RALa lotפֹּהpohereלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵינוּ׃e/lo/HE/nuour God

   Ye shall therefore describe the land into seven parts, and bring the description hither to me, that I may cast lots for you here before the LORD our God.

   But the Levites have no part among you; for the priesthood of the LORD is their inheritance: and Gad, and Reuben, and half the tribe of Manasseh, have received their inheritance beyond Jordan on the east, which Moses the servant of the LORD gave them.

   And the men arose, and went away: and Joshua charged them that went to describe the land, saying, Go and walk through the land, and describe it, and come again to me, that I may here cast lots for you before the LORD in Shiloh.

   וַיֵּלְכוּvay/yel/KHUand wentהָאֲנָשִׁיםha/a/na/SHIMthe menוַיַּעַבְרוּvay/ya/av/RUand passed throughבָאָרֶץva/A/retsin the landוַיִּכְתְּבוּהָvay/yikh/te/VU/haand described itלֶעָרִיםle/a/RIMby citiesלְשִׁבְעָהle/shiv/Ainto sevenחֲלָקִיםcha/la/KIMpartsעַל־סֵפֶרal-SE/ferin a bookוַיָּבֹאוּvay/ya/VO/uand they cameאֶל־יְהוֹשֻׁעַel-Ye/ho/SHU/ato Joshuaאֶל־הַמַּחֲנֶהel-ham/ma/cha/NEto the campשִׁלֹה׃Shi/LOat Shiloh

   And the men went and passed through the land, and described it by cities into seven parts in a book, and came again to Joshua to the host at Shiloh.

    וַיַּשְׁלֵךְvay/yash/LEKHand castלָהֶםla/HEMfor themיְהוֹשֻׁעַYe/ho/SHU/aJoshuaגּוֹרָלgo/RALa lotבְּשִׁלֹהbe/Shi/LOin Shilohלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוַיְחַלֶּק־שָׁםvay/chal/LEK-shamand there dividedיְהוֹשֻׁעַYe/ho/SHU/aJoshuaאֶת־הָאָרֶץet-ha/A/retsthe landלִבְנֵיliv/NEto the children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelכְּמַחְלְקֹתָם׃ke/mach/le/ko/TAMaccording to their divisions

    And Joshua cast lots for them in Shiloh before the LORD: and there Joshua divided the land unto the children of Israel according to their divisions.

    וַיַּעַלvay/YA/aland came upגּוֹרַלgo/RALthe lot ofמַטֵּהmat/TEthe tribe ofבְנֵי־בִנְיָמִןve/NE-vin/ya/MINthe children of Benjaminלְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָםle/mish/pe/cho/TAMby their familiesוַיֵּצֵאvay/ye/TSEand came outגְּבוּלge/VULthe territory ofגּוֹרָלָםgo/ra/LAMtheir lotבֵּיןbenbetweenבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahוּבֵיןu/VENand betweenבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofיוֹסֵף׃Yo/SEFJoseph

    And the lot of the tribe of the children of Benjamin came up according to their families: and the coast of their lot came forth between the children of Judah and the children of Joseph.

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand wasלָהֶםla/HEMtheirהַגְּבוּלhag/ge/VULthe borderלִפְאַתlif/ATon the sideצָפוֹנָהtsa/FO/nanorthמִן־הַיַּרְדֵּןmin-Hay/yar/DENfrom the Jordanוְעָלָהve/a/LAand went upהַגְּבוּלhag/ge/VULthe borderאֶל־כֶּתֶףel-KE/tefto the side ofיְרִיחוֹYe/ri/CHOJerichoמִצָּפוֹןmits/tsa/FONon the northוְעָלָהve/a/LAand went upבָהָרva/HARthrough the hill countryיָמָּהYAM/mawestward(והיה)vahayah[וְהָיוּ]ve/ha/YUand wereתֹּצְאֹתָיוtots/o/TAYVits goings outמִדְבַּרָהmid/BA/raat the wilderness ofבֵּיתBetBeth-אָוֶן׃A/venaven

    And their border on the north side was from Jordan; and the border went up to the side of Jericho on the north side, and went up through the mountains westward; and the goings out thereof were at the wilderness of Beth-aven.

    וְעָבַרve/a/VARand passed alongמִשָּׁםmish/SHAMfrom thereהַגְּבוּלhag/ge/VULthe borderלוּזָהLU/zato Luzאֶל־כֶּתֶףel-KE/tefto the side ofלוּזָהLU/zaLuzנֶגְבָּהNEG/basouthwardהִיאhiwhich isבֵּית־אֵלBet-elBeth-elוְיָרַדve/ya/RADand went downהַגְּבוּלhag/ge/VULthe borderעַטְרוֹתAt/ROTto Ataroth-אַדָּרad/DARaddarעַל־הָהָרal-ha/HARnear the hillאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat isמִנֶּגֶבmin/NE/gevon the southלְבֵית־חֹרוֹןle/VET-cho/RONof Beth-horonתַּחְתּוֹן׃tach/TONlower

    And the border went over from thence toward Luz, to the side of Luz, which is Beth-el, southward; and the border descended to Ataroth-adar, near the hill that lieth on the south side of the nether Beth-horon.

    וְתָאַרve/ta/ARand was drawnהַגְּבוּלhag/ge/VULthe borderוְנָסַבve/na/SAVand turnedלִפְאַת־יָםlif/AT-yamon the west sideנֶגְבָּהNEG/basouthwardמִן־הָהָרmin-ha/HARfrom the hillאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat isעַל־פְּנֵיal-pe/NEbeforeבֵית־חֹרוֹןVet-cho/RONBeth-horonנֶגְבָּהNEG/basouthward(והיה)vahayah[וְהָיוּ]ve/ha/YUand wereתֹצְאֹתָיוtots/o/TAYVits goings outאֶל־קִרְיַת־בַּעַלel-Kir/YAT-BA/alat Kiriath-baalהִיאhiwhich isקִרְיַתKir/YATKiriath-יְעָרִיםye/a/RIMjearimעִירira city ofבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahזֹאתzotthis wasפְּאַת־יָם׃pe/AT-yamthe west side

    And the border was drawn thence, and compassed the corner of the sea southward, from the hill that lieth before Beth-horon southward; and the goings out thereof were at Kirjath-baal, which is Kirjath-jearim, a city of the children of Judah: this was the west quarter.

    וּפְאַת־נֶגְבָּהu/fe/AT-NEG/baand the south sideמִקְצֵהmik/TSEfrom the end ofקִרְיַתKir/YATKiriath-יְעָרִיםye/a/RIMjearimוְיָצָאve/ya/TSAand went outהַגְּבוּלhag/ge/VULthe borderיָמָּהYAM/mawestwardוְיָצָאve/ya/TSAand went outאֶל־מַעְיַןel-ma/YANto the spring ofמֵיmethe waters ofנֶפְתּוֹחַ׃Nef/TO/achNephtoah

    And the south quarter was from the end of Kirjath-jearim, and the border went out on the west, and went out to the well of waters of Nephtoah:

16. 16

    וְיָרַדve/ya/RADand went downהַגְּבוּלhag/ge/VULthe borderאֶל־קְצֵהel-ke/TSEto the end ofהָהָרha/HARthe hillאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat isעַל־פְּנֵיal-pe/NEbeforeגֵּיgethe valley ofבֶן־הִנֹּםven-Hin/NOMthe son of Hinnomאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhich isבְּעֵמֶקbe/E/mekin the valley ofרְפָאִיםRe/fa/IMRephaimצָפוֹנָהtsa/FO/naon the northוְיָרַדve/ya/RADand went downגֵּיgeto the valley ofהִנֹּםHin/NOMHinnomאֶל־כֶּתֶףel-KE/tefto the side ofהַיְבוּסִיHay/vu/SIthe JebusiteנֶגְבָּהNEG/basouthwardוְיָרַדve/ya/RADand went downעֵיןEnto En-רֹגֵל׃ro/GELrogel

    And the border came down to the end of the mountain that lieth before the valley of the son of Hinnom, and which is in the valley of the giants on the north, and descended to the valley of Hinnom, to the side of Jebusi on the south, and descended to En-rogel,

    וְתָאַרve/ta/ARand was drawnמִצָּפוֹןmits/tsa/FONon the northוְיָצָאve/ya/TSAand went outעֵיןEnto En-שֶׁמֶשׁSHE/meshshemeshוְיָצָאve/ya/TSAand went outאֶל־גְּלִילוֹתel-Ge/li/LOTtoward Gelilothאֲשֶׁר־נֹכַחa/SHER-NO/khachwhich is oppositeמַעֲלֵהma/a/LEthe ascent ofאֲדֻמִּיםA/dum/MIMAdummimוְיָרַדve/ya/RADand went downאֶבֶןE/vento the stone ofבֹּהַןBO/hanBohanבֶּן־רְאוּבֵן׃ben-Re/u/VENthe son of Reuben

    And was drawn from the north, and went forth to En-shemesh, and went forth toward Geliloth, which is over against the going up of Adummim, and descended to the stone of Bohan the son of Reuben,

    וְעָבַרve/a/VARand passed alongאֶל־כֶּתֶףel-KE/tefto the sideמוּל־הָעֲרָבָהmul-Ha/a/ra/VAopposite the Arabahצָפוֹנָהtsa/FO/nanorthwardוְיָרַדve/ya/RADand went downהָעֲרָבָתָה׃ha/A/ra/VA/tato the Arabah

    And passed along toward the side over against Arabah northward, and went down unto Arabah:

19. 19

    וְעָבַרve/a/VARand passed alongהַגְּבוּלhag/ge/VULthe borderאֶל־כֶּתֶףel-KE/tefto the side ofבֵּית־חׇגְלָהBet-chog/LABeth-hoglahצָפוֹנָהtsa/FO/nanorthward(והיה)vahayah[וְהָיוּ]ve/ha/YUand were(תצאותיו)tatsvatayav[תֹּצְאוֹת]tots/OTthe goings out ofהַגְּבוּלhag/ge/VULthe borderאֶל־לְשׁוֹןel-le/SHONat the bay ofיָם־הַמֶּלַחyam-Ham/ME/lachthe Salt Seaצָפוֹנָהtsa/FO/nanorthwardאֶל־קְצֵהel-ke/TSEat the end ofהַיַּרְדֵּןhay/Yar/DENthe JordanנֶגְבָּהNEG/basouthwardזֶהzethis wasגְּבוּלge/VULthe border ofנֶגֶב׃NE/gevsouth

    And the border passed along to the side of Beth-hoglah northward: and the outgoings of the border were at the north bay of the salt sea at the south end of Jordan: this was the south coast.

    וְהַיַּרְדֵּןve/hay/Yar/DENand the Jordanיִגְבֹּל־אֹתוֹyig/BOL-o/TOwas its borderלִפְאַת־קֵדְמָהlif/AT-KED/maon the east sideזֹאתzotthis wasנַחֲלַתna/cha/LATthe inheritance ofבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofבִנְיָמִןVin/ya/MINBenjaminלִגְבוּלֹתֶיהָlig/vu/lo/TE/haby its bordersסָבִיבsa/VIVall aroundלְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָם׃le/mish/pe/cho/TAMby their families

    And Jordan was the border of it on the east side. This was the inheritance of the children of Benjamin, by the coasts thereof round about, according to their families.

21. 21

    וְהָיוּve/ha/YUnow wereהֶעָרִיםhe/a/RIMthe citiesלְמַטֵּהle/mat/TEof the tribe ofבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofבִנְיָמִןVin/ya/MINBenjaminלְמִשְׁפְּחוֹתֵיהֶםle/mish/pe/cho/te/HEMby their familiesיְרִיחוֹYe/ri/CHOJerichoוּבֵית־חׇגְלָהu/VET-chog/LAand Beth-hoglahוְעֵמֶקve/E/mekand the valley ofקְצִיץ׃Ke/TSITSKeziz

    Now the cities of the tribe of the children of Benjamin according to their families were Jericho, and Beth-hoglah, and the valley of Keziz,

    וּבֵיתu/VETand Beth-הָעֲרָבָהha/a/ra/VAarabahוּצְמָרַיִםu/Tse/ma/RA/yimand Zemaraimוּבֵית־אֵל׃u/VET-eland Beth-el

    And Beth-arabah, and Zemaraim, and Beth-el,

    וְהָעַוִּיםve/Ha/av/VIMand Avvimוְהַפָּרָהve/hap/Pa/RAand Parahוְעׇפְרָה׃ve/Of/RAand Ophrah

    And Avim, and Parah, and Ophrah,

24. 24

    וּכְפַרu/Khe/FARand Chephar-(העמני)hmanay[הָעַמֹּנָה]ha/am/mo/NAammoniוְהָעׇפְנִיve/Ha/of/NIand Ophniוָגָבַעva/GA/vaand Gebaעָרִיםa/RIMcitiesשְׁתֵּים־עֶשְׂרֵהshtem-es/REtwelveוְחַצְרֵיהֶן׃ve/chats/re/HENwith their villages

    And Chephar-haammonai, and Ophni, and Gaba; twelve cities with their villages:

    Gibeon, and Ramah, and Beeroth,

    And Mizpeh, and Chephirah, and Mozah,

    And Rekem, and Irpeel, and Taralah,

    And Zelah, Eleph, and Jebusi, which is Jerusalem, Gibeath, and Kirjath; fourteen cities with their villages. This is the inheritance of the children of Benjamin according to their families.
