Joshua 16 יְהוֹשֻׁעַ פרק ט״ז

   וַיֵּצֵאvay/ye/TSEand came outהַגּוֹרָלhag/go/RALthe lotלִבְנֵיliv/NEfor the children ofיוֹסֵףYo/SEFJosephמִיַּרְדֵּןmiy/Yar/DENfrom the JordanיְרִיחוֹYe/ri/CHOby Jerichoלְמֵיle/MEto the waters ofיְרִיחוֹYe/ri/CHOJerichoמִזְרָחָהmiz/RA/chaeastwardהַמִּדְבָּרham/mid/BARto the wildernessעֹלֶהo/LEthat goes upמִירִיחוֹmI/ri/CHOfrom Jerichoבָּהָרba/HARthrough the hill country toבֵּית־אֵל׃Bet-elBeth-el

   And the lot of the children of Joseph fell from Jordan by Jericho, unto the water of Jericho on the east, to the wilderness that goeth up from Jericho throughout mount Beth-el,

   וְיָצָאve/ya/TSAand went outמִבֵּית־אֵלmib/BET-elfrom Beth-elלוּזָהLU/zato Luzוְעָבַרve/a/VARand passed alongאֶל־גְּבוּלel-ge/VULto the border ofהָאַרְכִּיha/Ar/KIthe Architesעֲטָרוֹת׃A/ta/ROTat Ataroth

   And goeth out from Beth-el to Luz, and passeth along unto the borders of Archi to Ataroth,

   וְיָרַד־יָמָּהve/ya/RAD-YAM/maand went down westwardאֶל־גְּבוּלel-ge/VULto the border ofהַיַּפְלֵטִיhay/Yaf/le/TIthe Japhletitesעַדadtoגְּבוּלge/VULthe border ofבֵּית־חוֹרֹןBet-cho/RONBeth-horonתַּחְתּוֹןtach/TONthe lowerוְעַד־גָּזֶרve/AD-GA/zerand to Gezerוְהָיוּve/ha/YUand wereתֹצְאֹתָוtots/o/TAVits goings outיָמָּה׃YAM/maat the sea

   And goeth down westward to the coast of Japhleti, unto the coast of Beth-horon the nether, and to Gezer: and the goings out thereof are at the sea.

   וַיִּנְחֲלוּvay/yin/cha/LUso received their inheritanceבְנֵי־יוֹסֵףve/NE-yo/SEFthe children of JosephמְנַשֶּׁהMe/nash/SHEManassehוְאֶפְרָיִם׃ve/Ef/RA/yimand Ephraim

   So the children of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, took their inheritance.

   וַיְהִיvay/HIand wasגְּבוּלge/VULthe border ofבְּנֵי־אֶפְרַיִםbe/NE-ef/RA/yimthe children of Ephraimלְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָםle/mish/pe/cho/TAMby their familiesוַיְהִיvay/HIeven wasגְּבוּלge/VULthe border ofנַחֲלָתָםna/cha/la/TAMtheir inheritanceמִזְרָחָהmiz/RA/chaeastwardעַטְרוֹתAt/ROTAtaroth-אַדָּרad/DARaddarעַד־בֵּיתad-Betto Beth-חוֹרֹןcho/RONhoronעֶלְיוֹן׃el/YONthe upper

   And the border of the children of Ephraim according to their families was thus: even the border of their inheritance on the east side was Ataroth-addar, unto Beth-horon the upper;

   וְיָצָאve/ya/TSAand went outהַגְּבוּלhag/ge/VULthe borderהַיָּמָּהhay/YAM/matoward the seaהַמִּכְמְתָתham/Mikh/me/TATto Michmethahמִצָּפוֹןmits/tsa/FONon the northוְנָסַבve/na/SAVand turnedהַגְּבוּלhag/ge/VULthe borderמִזְרָחָהmiz/RA/chaeastwardתַּאֲנַתTa/a/NATTaanath-שִׁלֹהshi/LOshilohוְעָבַרve/a/VARand passed alongאוֹתוֹo/TOby itמִמִּזְרַחmim/miz/RACHon the east ofיָנוֹחָה׃Ya/NO/chaJanoah

   And the border went out toward the sea to Michmethah on the north side; and the border went about eastward unto Taanath-shiloh, and passed by it on the east to Janohah;

   וְיָרַדve/ya/RADand went downמִיָּנוֹחָהmiy/Ya/NO/chafrom JanoahעֲטָרוֹתA/ta/ROTto Atarothוְנַעֲרָתָהve/Na/a/RA/taand to Naarathוּפָגַעu/fa/GAand reachedבִּירִיחוֹbI/ri/CHOat Jerichoוְיָצָאve/ya/TSAand went outהַיַּרְדֵּן׃hay/Yar/DENat the Jordan

   And it went down from Janohah to Ataroth, and to Naarath, and came to Jericho, and went out at Jordan.

   מִתַּפּוּחַmit/Tap/PU/achfrom Tappuahיֵלֵךְye/LEKHwentהַגְּבוּלhag/ge/VULthe borderיָמָּהYAM/mawestwardנַחַלNA/chalto the brookקָנָהKa/NAKanahוְהָיוּve/ha/YUand wereתֹצְאֹתָיוtots/o/TAYVits goings outהַיָּמָּהhay/YAM/maat the seaזֹאתzotthisנַחֲלַתna/cha/LATthe inheritance ofמַטֵּהmat/TEthe tribe ofבְנֵי־אֶפְרַיִםve/NE-ef/RA/yimthe children of Ephraimלְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָם׃le/mish/pe/cho/TAMby their families

   The border went out from Tappuah westward unto the river Kanah; and the goings out thereof were at the sea. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Ephraim by their families.

   וְהֶעָרִיםve/he/a/RIMand the citiesהַמִּבְדָּלוֹתham/miv/da/LOTthat were set apartלִבְנֵיliv/NEfor the children ofאֶפְרַיִםEf/RA/yimEphraimבְּתוֹךְbe/TOKHin the midst ofנַחֲלַתna/cha/LATthe inheritance ofבְּנֵי־מְנַשֶּׁהbe/NE-me/nash/SHEthe children of Manassehכׇּל־הֶעָרִיםkol-he/a/RIMall the citiesוְחַצְרֵיהֶן׃ve/chats/re/HENwith their villages

   And the separate cities for the children of Ephraim were among the inheritance of the children of Manasseh, all the cities with their villages.

    וְלֹאve/LOand notהוֹרִישׁוּho/RI/shudid drive outאֶת־הַכְּנַעֲנִיet-Hak/ke/na/a/NIthe Canaaniteהַיּוֹשֵׁבhay/yo/SHEVwho dweltבְּגָזֶרbe/GA/zerin Gezerוַיֵּשֶׁבvay/YE/shevbut dwellהַכְּנַעֲנִיhak/Ke/na/a/NIthe Canaaniteבְּקֶרֶבbe/KE/revamongאֶפְרַיִםEf/RA/yimEphraimעַד־הַיּוֹםad-hay/YOMto the dayהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוַיְהִיvay/HIand becameלְמַס־עֹבֵד׃le/MAS-o/VEDforced laborers

    And they drave not out the Canaanites that dwelt in Gezer: but the Canaanites dwell among the Ephraimites unto this day, and serve under tribute.
