Job 27 אִיּוֹב פרק כ״ז

   וַיֹּסֶףvay/YO/sefand continuedאִיּוֹבIy/YOVJobשְׂאֵתse/ETto take upמְשָׁלוֹme/sha/LOhis discourseוַיֹּאמַר׃vay/yo/MARand said

   Moreover Job continued his parable, and said,

   חַי־אֵלchay-elas God livesהֵסִירhe/SIRwho has taken awayמִשְׁפָּטִיmish/pa/TImy rightוְשַׁדַּיve/Shad/DAYand the Almightyהֵמַרhe/MARwho has embitteredנַפְשִׁי׃naf/SHImy soul

   As God liveth, who hath taken away my judgment; and the Almighty, who hath vexed my soul;

   כִּי־כׇל־עוֹדki-khol-odfor as long asנִשְׁמָתִיnish/ma/TImy breath isבִיviin meוְרוּחַve/RU/achand the breath ofאֱלוֹהַּe/LO/ahGodבְּאַפִּי׃be/ap/PIin my nostrils

   All the while my breath is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils;

   אִם־תְּדַבֵּרְנָהim-te/dab/BER/nawill not speakשְׂפָתַיse/fa/TAYmy lipsעַוְלָהav/LAinjusticeוּלְשׁוֹנִיu/le/sho/NIand my tongueאִם־יֶהְגֶּהim-yeh/GEnor will utterרְמִיָּה׃re/miy/YAdeceit

   My lips shall not speak wickedness, nor my tongue utter deceit.

   חָלִילָהcha/LI/lafar be itלִּיlifor meאִם־אַצְדִּיקim-ats/DIKthat I should justifyאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouעַד־אֶגְוָעad-eg/VAuntil I dieלֹא־אָסִירlo-a/SIRI will not removeתֻּמָּתִיtum/ma/TImy integrityמִמֶּנִּי׃mim/MEN/nifrom me

   God forbid that I should justify you: till I die I will not remove mine integrity from me.

   בְּצִדְקָתִיbe/tsid/ka/TIin my righteousnessהֶחֱזַקְתִּיhe/che/ZAK/tiI hold fastוְלֹאve/LOand notאַרְפֶּהָar/PE/halet it goלֹא־יֶחֱרַףlo-ye/che/RAFwill not reproachלְבָבִיle/va/VImy heartמִיָּמָי׃miy/ya/MAYany of my days

   My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go: my heart shall not reproach me so long as I live.

   יְהִיye/HIlet beכְרָשָׁעkhe/ra/SHAas the wickedאֹיְבִיoy/VImy enemyוּמִתְקוֹמְמִיu/mit/kom/MIand he who rises against meכְעַוָּל׃khe/av/VALas the unrighteous

   Let mine enemy be as the wicked, and he that riseth up against me as the unrighteous.

   כִּיkiforמַה־תִּקְוַתma-tik/VATwhat is the hope ofחָנֵףcha/NEFthe godlessכִּיkiwhenיִבְצָעyiv/TSAhe is cut offכִּיkiwhenיֵשֶׁלYE/sheldraws outאֱלוֹהַּe/LO/ahGodנַפְשׁוֹ׃naf/SHOhis soul

   For what is the hope of the hypocrite, though he hath gained, when God taketh away his soul?

   הֲצַעֲקָתוֹha/tsa/a/ka/TOhis cryיִשְׁמַעyish/MAwill hearאֵלelGodכִּי־תָבוֹאki-ta/VOwhen comesעָלָיוa/LAYVupon himצָרָה׃tsa/RAaffliction

   Will God hear his cry when trouble cometh upon him?

10. 10

    אִם־עַל־שַׁדַּיim-al-Shad/DAYin the Almightyיִתְעַנָּגyit/an/NAGwill he delightיִקְרָאyik/RAwill he call onאֱלוֹהַּe/LO/ahGodבְּכׇל־עֵת׃be/KHOL-etat all times

    Will he delight himself in the Almighty? will he always call upon God?

11. 11

    אוֹרֶהo/REI will teachאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouבְּיַד־אֵלbe/YAD-elabout the hand of Godאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhat isעִם־שַׁדַּיim-Shad/DAYwith the Almightyלֹאlonotאֲכַחֵד׃a/kha/CHEDwill I conceal

    I will teach you by the hand of God: that which is with the Almighty will I not conceal.

12. 12

    הֵן־אַתֶּםhen-at/TEMbehold youכֻּלְּכֶםkul/le/KHEMall of youחֲזִיתֶםcha/zi/TEMhave seen itוְלָמָּה־זֶּהve/LAM/ma-zewhy thenהֶבֶלHE/velvanityתֶּהְבָּלוּ׃teh/BA/ludo you speak vainly

    Behold, all ye yourselves have seen it; why then are ye thus altogether vain?

13. 13

    זֶהzethisחֵלֶק־אָדָםCHE/lek-a/DAMthe portion of a manרָשָׁעra/SHAwickedעִם־אֵלim-elfrom Godוְנַחֲלַתve/na/cha/LATand the heritage ofעָרִיצִיםa/ri/TSIMthe ruthlessמִשַּׁדַּיmish/Shad/DAYfrom the Almightyיִקָּחוּ׃yik/KA/chuthey receive

    This is the portion of a wicked man with God, and the heritage of oppressors, which they shall receive of the Almighty.

    אִם־יִרְבּוּim-yir/BUif are multipliedבָנָיוva/NAYVhis sonsלְמוֹ־חָרֶבle/MO-CHA/revit is for the swordוְצֶאֱצָאָיוve/tse/e/tsa/AYVand his offspringלֹאlonotיִשְׂבְּעוּ־לָחֶם׃yis/be/U-LA/chemare satisfied with bread

    If his children be multiplied, it is for the sword: and his offspring shall not be satisfied with bread.

15. 15

    שְׂרִידָוse/ri/DAVhis survivorsבַּמָּוֶתbam/MA/vetin deathיִקָּבֵרוּyik/ka/VE/ruwill be buriedוְאַלְמְנֹתָיוve/al/me/no/TAYVand his widowsלֹאlonotתִבְכֶּינָה׃tiv/KE/nawill weep

    Those that remain of him shall be buried in death: and his widows shall not weep.

16. 16

    אִם־יִצְבֹּרim-yits/BORthough he heap upכֶּעָפָרke/a/FARlike dustכָּסֶףKA/sefsilverוְכַחֹמֶרve/kha/CHO/merand like clayיָכִיןya/KHINand prepareמַלְבּוּשׁ׃mal/BUSHclothing

    Though he heap up silver as the dust, and prepare raiment as the clay;

17. 17

    יָכִיןya/KHINhe may prepare itוְצַדִּיקve/tsad/DIKbut the righteousיִלְבָּשׁyil/BASHwill wear itוְכֶסֶףve/KHE/sefand silverנָקִיna/KIthe innocentיַחֲלֹק׃ya/cha/LOKwill divide

    He may prepare it, but the just shall put it on, and the innocent shall divide the silver.

18. 18

    בָּנָהba/NAhe buildsכָעָשׁkha/ASHlike a mothבֵּיתוֹbe/TOhis houseוּכְסֻכָּהu/khe/suk/KAand like a boothעָשָׂהa/SAthat makesנֹצֵר׃no/TSERa watchman

    He buildeth his house as a moth, and as a booth that the keeper maketh.

19. 19

    עָשִׁירa/SHIRrichיִשְׁכַּבyish/KAVhe lies downוְלֹאve/LOand notיֵאָסֵףye/a/SEFhe will be gatheredעֵינָיוe/NAYVhis eyesפָּקַחpa/KACHhe opensוְאֵינֶנּוּ׃ve/e/NEN/nuand he is not

    The rich man shall lie down, but he shall not be gathered: he openeth his eyes, and he is not.

20. 20

    תַּשִּׂיגֵהוּtas/si/GE/huovertake himכַמַּיִםkham/MA/yimlike watersבַּלָּהוֹתbal/la/HOTterrorsלַיְלָהLAY/laby nightגְּנָבַתּוּge/na/VAT/tusteals him awayסוּפָה׃su/FAa storm

    Terrors take hold on him as waters, a tempest stealeth him away in the night.

21. 21

    יִשָּׂאֵהוּyis/sa/E/hucarries him awayקָדִיםka/DIMthe east windוְיֵלַךְve/ye/LAKHand he is goneוִישָׂעֲרֵהוּvi/sa/a/RE/huand sweeps him awayמִמְּקֹמוֹ׃mim/me/ko/MOfrom his place

    The east wind carrieth him away, and he departeth: and as a storm hurleth him out of his place.

22. 22

    וְיַשְׁלֵךְve/yash/LEKHfor it hurlsעָלָיוa/LAYVat himוְלֹאve/LOand notיַחְמֹלyach/MOLspareמִיָּדוֹmiy/ya/DOfrom its powerבָּרוֹחַba/RO/achfleeיִבְרָח׃yiv/RACHhe would flee

    For God shall cast upon him, and not spare: he would fain flee out of his hand.

23. 23

    יִשְׂפֹּקyis/POKit clapsעָלֵימוֹa/LE/moat himכַפֵּימוֹkhap/PE/moits handsוְיִשְׁרֹקve/yish/ROKand hissesעָלָיוa/LAYVat himמִמְּקֹמוֹ׃mim/me/ko/MOfrom his place

    Men shall clap their hands at him, and shall hiss him out of his place.
