Job 26 אִיּוֹב פרק כ״ו

   וַיַּעַןvay/YA/anand he answeredאִיּוֹבIy/YOVJobוַיֹּאמַר׃vay/yo/MARand said

   But Job answered and said,

   מֶה־עָזַרְתָּme-a/ZAR/tahow have you helpedלְלֹא־כֹחַle/LO-KHO/achthe powerlessהוֹשַׁעְתָּho/SHA/tahow you have savedזְרוֹעַze/RO/athe armלֹא־עֹז׃lo-ozwithout strength

   How hast thou helped him that is without power? how savest thou the arm that hath no strength?

   מַה־יָּעַצְתָּma-ya/ats/TAhow have you counseledלְלֹאle/LOhim withoutחׇכְמָהchokh/MAwisdomוְתֻשִׁיָּהve/tu/shiy/YAand sound wisdomלָרֹבla/ROVabundantlyהוֹדָעְתָּ׃ho/DA/tayou have declared

   How hast thou counselled him that hath no wisdom? and how hast thou plentifully declared the thing as it is?

   אֶת־מִיet-mito whomהִגַּדְתָּhig/GAD/tahave you utteredמִלִּיןmil/LINwordsוְנִשְׁמַת־מִיve/nish/MAT-miand whose breathיָצְאָהya/tse/Ahas come forthמִמֶּךָּ׃mim/MEK/kafrom you

   To whom hast thou uttered words? and whose spirit came from thee?

   הָרְפָאִיםha/re/fa/IMthe shadesיְחוֹלָלוּye/cho/LA/lutrembleמִתַּחַתmit/TA/chatbeneathמַיִםMA/yimthe watersוְשֹׁכְנֵיהֶם׃ve/shokh/ne/HEMand their inhabitants

   Dead things are formed from under the waters, and the inhabitants thereof.

   עָרוֹםa/ROMis nakedשְׁאוֹלShe/OLSheolנֶגְדּוֹneg/DObefore Himוְאֵיןve/ENand noכְּסוּתke/SUTcoveringלָאֲבַדּוֹן׃la/a/vad/DONhas destruction

   Hell is naked before him, and destruction hath no covering.

   נֹטֶהno/TEHe stretches outצָפוֹןtsa/FONthe northעַל־תֹּהוּal-TO/huover the voidתֹּלֶהTO/leHe hangsאֶרֶץE/retsthe earthעַל־בְּלִי־מָה׃al-be/LI-maupon nothing

   He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing.

   צֹרֵר־מַיִםtso/RER-MA/yimHe binds up the watersבְּעָבָיוbe/a/VAYVin His thick cloudsוְלֹא־נִבְקַעve/LO-niv/KAand does not burstעָנָןa/NANa cloudתַּחְתָּם׃tach/TAMunder them

   He bindeth up the waters in his thick clouds; and the cloud is not rent under them.

   מְאַחֵזme/a/CHEZHe coversפְּנֵי־כִסֵּהpe/NE-khis/SEthe face of the throneפַּרְשֵׁזpar/SHEZspreadingעָלָיוa/LAYVover itעֲנָנוֹ׃a/na/NOHis cloud

   He holdeth back the face of his throne, and spreadeth his cloud upon it.

    חֹק־חָגchok-chagHe has drawn a circleעַל־פְּנֵי־מָיִםal-pe/NE-MA/yimon the face of the watersעַד־תַּכְלִיתad-takh/LITto the boundary ofאוֹרorlightעִם־חֹשֶׁךְ׃im-CHO/shekhwith darkness

    He hath compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end.

    עַמּוּדֵיam/mu/DEthe pillars ofשָׁמַיִםsha/MA/yimthe heavensיְרוֹפָפוּye/ro/FA/futrembleוְיִתְמְהוּve/yit/me/HUand are astoundedמִגַּעֲרָתוֹ׃mig/ga/a/ra/TOat His rebuke

    The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his reproof.

12. 12

    בְּכֹחוֹbe/kho/CHOby His powerרָגַעra/GAHe stilledהַיָּםhay/YAMthe sea[וּבִתְבוּנָתוֹ]u/vit/vu/na/TOand by His understandingמָחַץMA/chatsHe struckרָהַב׃RA/havRahab

    He divideth the sea with his power, and by his understanding he smiteth through the proud.

    בְּרוּחוֹbe/ru/CHOby His breathשָׁמַיִםsha/MA/yimthe heavensשִׁפְרָהshif/RAare fairחֹלְלָהchol/LAhas piercedיָדוֹya/DOHis handנָחָשׁna/CHASHthe serpentבָּרִחַ׃ba/RI/achfleeing

    By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent.

    הֶן־אֵלֶּהhen-EL/lebehold these areקְצוֹתke/TSOTthe edges ofדְּרָכָוde/ra/KHAVHis waysוּמַה־שֵּׁמֶץu/MA-SHE/metsand how faint a whisperדָּבָרda/VARof a wordנִשְׁמַע־בּוֹnish/MA-bois heard of Himוְרַעַםve/RA/ambut the thunder ofגְּבוּרֹתָוge/vu/ro/TAVHis powerמִיmiwhoיִתְבּוֹנָן׃yit/bo/NANcan understand

    Lo, these are parts of his ways: but how little a portion is heard of him? but the thunder of his power who can understand?
