   The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the Jews which dwell in the land of Egypt, which dwell at Migdol, and at Tahpanhes, and at Noph, and in the country of Pathros, saying,

   Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Ye have seen all the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, and upon all the cities of Judah; and, behold, this day they are a desolation, and no man dwelleth therein,

   Because of their wickedness which they have committed to provoke me to anger, in that they went to burn incense, and to serve other gods, whom they knew not, neither they, ye, nor your fathers.

   וָאֶשְׁלַחva/esh/LACHand I sentאֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMto youאֶת־כׇּל־עֲבָדַיet-kol-a/va/DAYall my servantsהַנְּבִיאִיםhan/ne/vi/IMthe prophetsהַשְׁכֵּיםhash/KEMrising earlyוְשָׁלֹחַve/sha/LO/achand sendingלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingאַל־נָאal-naoh do notתַעֲשׂוּta/a/SUdoאֵת־דְּבַר־הַתֹּעֵבָהet-de/VAR-hat/to/e/VAthe abominable thingהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichשָׂנֵאתִי׃sa/NE/tiI hate

   Howbeit I sent unto you all my servants the prophets, rising early and sending them, saying, Oh, do not this abominable thing that I hate.

   וְלֹאve/LObut notשָׁמְעוּsha/me/Udid they listenוְלֹא־הִטּוּve/LO-hit/TUnor inclineאֶת־אׇזְנָםet-oz/NAMtheir earלָשׁוּבla/SHUVto turnמֵרָעָתָםme/ra/a/TAMfrom their wickednessלְבִלְתִּיle/vil/TIso as not toקַטֵּרkat/TERburn incenseלֵאלֹהִים־אֲחֵרִים׃le/lo/HIM-a/che/RIMto other gods

   But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear to turn from their wickedness, to burn no incense unto other gods.

   וַתִּתַּךְvat/tit/TAKHtherefore was poured outחֲמָתִיcha/ma/TImy furyוְאַפִּיve/ap/PIand my angerוַתִּבְעַרvat/tiv/ARand was kindledבְּעָרֵיbe/a/REin the cities ofיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahוּבְחֻצוֹתu/ve/chu/TSOTand in the streets ofיְרוּשָׁלָ͏ִםYe/ru/sha/LA/yimJerusalemוַתִּהְיֶינָהvat/tih/YE/naand they becameלְחׇרְבָּהle/chor/BAa wasteלִשְׁמָמָהlish/ma/MAa desolationכַּיּוֹםkay/YOMas the dayהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

   Wherefore my fury and mine anger was poured forth, and was kindled in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; and they are wasted and desolate, as at this day.

   Therefore now thus saith the LORD, the God of hosts, the God of Israel; Wherefore commit ye this great evil against your souls, to cut off from you man and woman, child and suckling, out of Judah, to leave you none to remain;

   In that ye provoke me unto wrath with the works of your hands, burning incense unto other gods in the land of Egypt, whither ye be gone to dwell, that ye might cut yourselves off, and that ye might be a curse and a reproach among all the nations of the earth?

   הַשְׁכַחְתֶּםhash/khach/TEMhave you forgottenאֶת־רָעוֹתet-ra/OTthe wickedness ofאֲבוֹתֵיכֶםa/vo/te/KHEMyour fathersוְאֶת־רָעוֹתve/ET-ra/OTand the wickedness ofמַלְכֵיmal/KHEthe kings ofיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahוְאֵתve/ETandרָעוֹתra/OTthe wickedness ofנָשָׁיוna/SHAYVhis wivesוְאֵתve/ETandרָעֹתֵכֶםra/o/te/KHEMyour own wickednessוְאֵתve/ETandרָעֹתra/OTthe wickedness ofנְשֵׁיכֶםne/she/KHEMyour wivesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatעָשׂוּa/SUthey didבְּאֶרֶץbe/E/retsin the land ofיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahוּבְחֻצוֹתu/ve/chu/TSOTand in the streets ofיְרוּשָׁלָ͏ִם׃Ye/ru/sha/LA/yimJerusalem

   Have ye forgotten the wickedness of your fathers, and the wickedness of the kings of Judah, and the wickedness of their wives, and your own wickedness, and the wickedness of your wives, which they have committed in the land of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem?

    לֹאlonotדֻכְּאוּduk/ke/Uthey have been humbledעַדadtoהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthe dayהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוְלֹאve/LOnorיָרְאוּya/re/Uhave they fearedוְלֹא־הָלְכוּve/LO-ha/le/KHUnor walkedבְתוֹרָתִיve/to/ra/TIin my lawוּבְחֻקֹּתַיu/ve/chuk/ko/TAYor in my statutesאֲשֶׁר־נָתַתִּיa/SHER-na/TAT/tiwhich I gaveלִפְנֵיכֶםlif/ne/KHEMbefore youוְלִפְנֵיve/lif/NEand beforeאֲבוֹתֵיכֶם׃a/vo/te/KHEMyour fathers

    They are not humbled even unto this day, neither have they feared, nor walked in my law, nor in my statutes, that I set before you and before your fathers.

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeכֹּה־אָמַרko-a/MARthus saysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDצְבָאוֹתtse/va/OTof hostsאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelהִנְנִיhin/NIbehold Iשָׂםsamwill setפָּנַיpa/NAYmy faceבָּכֶםba/KHEMagainst youלְרָעָהle/ra/Afor evilוּלְהַכְרִיתu/le/hakh/RITand to cut offאֶת־כׇּל־יְהוּדָה׃et-Kol-ye/hu/DAall Judah

    Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will set my face against you for evil, and to cut off all Judah.

    וְלָקַחְתִּיve/la/kach/TIand I will takeאֶת־שְׁאֵרִיתet-she/e/RITremnant ofיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahאֲשֶׁר־שָׂמוּa/SHER-SA/muwho have setפְנֵיהֶםfe/ne/HEMtheir facesלָבוֹאla/VOto go intoאֶרֶץ־מִצְרַיִםE/rets-Mits/RA/yimthe land of Egyptלָגוּרla/GURto sojournשָׁםshamthereוְתַמּוּve/TAM/muand will be consumedכֹלkholallבְּאֶרֶץbe/E/retsin the land ofמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptיִפֹּלוּyip/PO/luthey will fallבַּחֶרֶבba/CHE/revby the swordבָּרָעָבba/ra/AVby the famineיִתַּמּוּyit/TAM/muthey shall be consumedמִקָּטֹןmik/ka/TONfrom the leastוְעַד־גָּדוֹלve/AD-ga/DOLto the greatestבַּחֶרֶבba/CHE/revby the swordוּבָרָעָבu/va/ra/AVand by famineיָמֻתוּya/MU/tuthey will dieוְהָיוּve/ha/YUand they will becomeלְאָלָהle/a/LAan oathלְשַׁמָּהle/sham/MAa horrorוְלִקְלָלָהve/lik/la/LAand a curseוּלְחֶרְפָּה׃u/le/cher/PAand into a reproach

    And I will take the remnant of Judah, that have set their faces to go into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, and they shall all be consumed, and fall in the land of Egypt; they shall even be consumed by the sword and by the famine: they shall die, from the least even unto the greatest, by the sword and by the famine: and they shall be an execration, and an astonishment, and a curse, and a reproach.

    וּפָקַדְתִּיu/fa/kad/TIfor I will punishעַלalthoseהַיּוֹשְׁבִיםhay/yosh/VIMwho dwellבְּאֶרֶץbe/E/retsin the land ofמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasפָּקַדְתִּיpa/KAD/tiI have punishedעַל־יְרוּשָׁלָ͏ִםal-Ye/ru/sha/LA/yimupon Jerusalemבַּחֶרֶבba/CHE/revby the swordבָּרָעָבba/ra/AVby the famineוּבַדָּבֶר׃u/vad/DA/verand by the pestilence

    For I will punish them that dwell in the land of Egypt, as I have punished Jerusalem, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence:

    וְלֹאve/LOso that notיִהְיֶהyih/YEwill beפָּלִיטpa/LITa fugitiveוְשָׂרִידve/sa/RIDand a survivorלִשְׁאֵרִיתlish/e/RITof the remnant ofיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahהַבָּאִיםhab/ba/IMwho have goneלָגוּר־שָׁםla/GUR-shamto sojourn thereבְּאֶרֶץbe/E/retsin the land ofמִצְרָיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptוְלָשׁוּבve/la/SHUVto return toאֶרֶץE/retsthe land ofיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahאֲשֶׁר־הֵמָּהa/SHER-HEM/mato which theyמְנַשְּׂאִיםme/nas/se/IMlongאֶת־נַפְשָׁםet-naf/SHAMin their soulלָשׁוּבla/SHUVto returnלָשֶׁבֶתla/SHE/vetto dwellשָׁםshamthereכִּיkiforלֹא־יָשׁוּבוּlo-ya/SHU/vunone will returnכִּיkiexceptאִם־פְּלֵטִים׃im-pe/le/TIMsome fugitives

    So that none of the remnant of Judah, which are gone into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, shall escape or remain, that they should return into the land of Judah, to the which they have a desire to return to dwell there: for none shall return but such as shall escape.

    וַיַּעֲנוּvay/ya/a/NUand they answeredאֶת־יִרְמְיָהוּet-Yir/me/YA/huJeremiahכׇּל־הָאֲנָשִׁיםkol-ha/a/na/SHIMall the menהַיֹּדְעִיםhay/yod/IMwho knewכִּי־מְקַטְּרוֹתki-me/kat/te/ROTthat were burning incenseנְשֵׁיהֶםne/she/HEMtheir wivesלֵאלֹהִים־אֲחֵרִיםle/lo/HIM-a/che/RIMto other godsוְכׇל־הַנָּשִׁיםve/KHOL-han/na/SHIMand all the womenהָעֹמְדוֹתha/om/DOTwho stood byקָהָלka/HALan assemblyגָּדוֹלga/DOLgreatוְכׇל־הָעָםve/KHOL-ha/AMand all the peopleהַיֹּשְׁבִיםhay/yosh/VIMwho dweltבְּאֶרֶץ־מִצְרַיִםbe/E/rets-mits/RA/yimin the land of Egyptבְּפַתְרוֹסbe/Fat/ROSin Pathrosלֵאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

    Then all the men which knew that their wives had burned incense unto other gods, and all the women that stood by, a great multitude, even all the people that dwelt in the land of Egypt, in Pathros, answered Jeremiah, saying,

    הַדָּבָרhad/da/VARthe wordאֲשֶׁר־דִּבַּרְתָּa/SHER-dib/BAR/tathat you have spokenאֵלֵינוּe/LE/nuto usבְּשֵׁםbe/SHEMin the name ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֵינֶנּוּe/NEN/nuwe will notשֹׁמְעִיםshom/IMlistenאֵלֶיךָ׃e/LE/khato you

    As for the word that thou hast spoken unto us in the name of the LORD, we will not hearken unto thee.

    כִּיkibutעָשֹׂהa/SOdoנַעֲשֶׂהna/a/SEwe will doאֶת־כׇּל־הַדָּבָרet-kol-had/da/VAReverythingאֲשֶׁר־יָצָאa/SHER-ya/TSAthat has gone outמִפִּינוּmip/PI/nufrom our mouthלְקַטֵּרle/kat/TERto burn incenseלִמְלֶכֶתlim/LE/khetfor the queen ofהַשָּׁמַיִםhash/sha/MA/yimthe heavensוְהַסֵּיךְ־לָהּve/has/SEKH-laand pour out to herנְסָכִיםne/sa/KHIMdrink offeringsכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasעָשִׂינוּa/SI/nuwe didאֲנַחְנוּa/NACH/nuweוַאֲבֹתֵינוּva/a/vo/TE/nuand our ancestorsמְלָכֵינוּme/la/KHE/nuour kingsוְשָׂרֵינוּve/sa/RE/nuand our princesבְּעָרֵיbe/a/REin the cities ofיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahוּבְחֻצוֹתu/ve/chu/TSOTand in the streets ofיְרוּשָׁלָ͏ִםYe/ru/sha/LA/yimJerusalemוַנִּשְׂבַּע־לֶחֶםvan/nis/BA-LE/chemfor then we had plenty of breadוַנִּהְיֶהvan/nih/YEand we wereטוֹבִיםto/VIMwellוְרָעָהve/ra/Aand evilלֹאlonoרָאִינוּ׃ra/I/nuwe saw

    But we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for then had we plenty of victuals, and were well, and saw no evil.

    וּמִן־אָזu/MIN-azbut sinceחָדַלְנוּcha/DAL/nuwe stoppedלְקַטֵּרle/kat/TERto burn incenseלִמְלֶכֶתlim/LE/khetfor the queen ofהַשָּׁמַיִםhash/sha/MA/yimthe heavensוְהַסֵּךְ־לָהּve/has/SEKH-laand pouring out to herנְסָכִיםne/sa/KHIMdrink offeringsחָסַרְנוּcha/SAR/nuwe have lackedכֹלkholeverythingוּבַחֶרֶבu/va/CHE/revand by the swordוּבָרָעָבu/va/ra/AVand by famineתָּמְנוּ׃TAM/nuwe have been consumed

    But since we left off to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, we have wanted all things, and have been consumed by the sword and by the famine.

    וְכִי־אֲנַחְנוּve/KHI-a/NACH/nuand when weמְקַטְּרִיםme/kat/te/RIMburned incenseלִמְלֶכֶתlim/LE/khetfor the queen ofהַשָּׁמַיִםhash/sha/MA/yimthe heavensוּלְהַסֵּךְu/le/has/SEKHand poured outלָהּlato herנְסָכִיםne/sa/KHIMdrink offeringsהֲמִבַּלְעֲדֵיha/mib/bal/a/DEwas it withoutאֲנָשֵׁינוּa/na/SHE/nuour husbandsעָשִׂינוּa/SI/nudid we makeלָהּlato herכַּוָּנִיםkav/va/NIMcakesלְהַעֲצִבָהֿle/ha/a/tsi/VAto portray herוְהַסֵּךְve/has/SEKHand to pour outלָהּlato herנְסָכִים׃ne/sa/KHIMdrink offerings

    And when we burned incense to the queen of heaven, and poured out drink offerings unto her, did we make her cakes to worship her, and pour out drink offerings unto her, without our men?

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיִרְמְיָהוּYir/me/YA/huJeremiahאֶל־כׇּל־הָעָםel-kol-ha/AMto all the peopleעַל־הַגְּבָרִיםal-hag/ge/va/RIMto the menוְעַל־הַנָּשִׁיםve/AL-han/na/SHIMand to the womenוְעַל־כׇּל־הָעָםve/AL-kol-ha/AMand to all the peopleהָעֹנִיםha/o/NIMwho had givenאֹתוֹo/TOhimדָּבָרda/VARan answerלֵאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

    Then Jeremiah said unto all the people, to the men, and to the women, and to all the people which had given him that answer, saying,

    הֲלוֹאha/LOdid notאֶת־הַקִּטֵּרet-hak/kit/TERthe incenseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatקִטַּרְתֶּםkit/tar/TEMyou burnedבְּעָרֵיbe/a/REin the cities ofיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahוּבְחֻצוֹתu/ve/chu/TSOTand in the streets ofיְרוּשָׁלַ͏ִםYe/ru/sha/LA/yimJerusalemאַתֶּםat/TEMyouוַאֲבוֹתֵיכֶםva/a/vo/te/KHEMand your fathersמַלְכֵיכֶםmal/khe/KHEMyour kingsוְשָׂרֵיכֶםve/sa/re/KHEMand your princesוְעַםve/AMand the people ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe landאֹתָםo/TAMthemזָכַרza/KHARrememberיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוַתַּעֲלֶהvat/ta/a/LEand did it comeעַל־לִבּוֹ׃al-lib/BOinto His mind

    The incense that ye burned in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, ye, and your fathers, your kings, and your princes, and the people of the land, did not the LORD remember them, and came it not into his mind?

    וְלֹא־יוּכַלve/LO-yu/KHALand could noיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDעוֹדodlongerלָשֵׂאתla/SETbearמִפְּנֵיmip/pe/NEbecause ofרֹעַRO/athe evil ofמַעַלְלֵיכֶםma/al/le/KHEMyour deedsמִפְּנֵיmip/pe/NEbecause ofהַתּוֹעֵבֹתhat/to/e/VOTthe abominationsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatעֲשִׂיתֶםa/si/TEMyou committedוַתְּהִיvat/te/HItherefore has becomeאַרְצְכֶםar/tse/KHEMyour landלְחׇרְבָּהle/chor/BAa desolationוּלְשַׁמָּהu/le/sham/MAand a horrorוְלִקְלָלָהve/lik/la/LAand a curseמֵאֵיןme/ENwithoutיוֹשֵׁבyo/SHEVinhabitantכְּהַיּוֹםke/hay/YOMas at the dayהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

    So that the LORD could no longer bear, because of the evil of your doings, and because of the abominations which ye have committed; therefore is your land a desolation, and an astonishment, and a curse, without an inhabitant, as at this day.

    מִפְּנֵיmip/pe/NEbecauseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatקִטַּרְתֶּםkit/tar/TEMyou burnedוַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand becauseחֲטָאתֶםcha/ta/TEMyou have sinnedלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaiagainst the LORDוְלֹאve/LOand notשְׁמַעְתֶּםshe/ma/TEMobeyedבְּקוֹלbe/KOLthe voice ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוּבְתֹרָתוֹu/ve/to/ra/TOor in His lawוּבְחֻקֹּתָיוu/ve/chuk/ko/TAYVor in His statutesוּבְעֵדְוֺתָיוu/ve/ed/vo/TAYVor in His testimoniesלֹאlonotהֲלַכְתֶּםha/lakh/TEMwalkedעַל־כֵּןal-kenthereforeקָרָאתka/RAThas befallenאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouהָרָעָהha/ra/Athe evilהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisכַּיּוֹםkay/YOMas the dayהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

    Because ye have burned incense, and because ye have sinned against the LORD, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD, nor walked in his law, nor in his statutes, nor in his testimonies; therefore this evil is happened unto you, as at this day.

24. 24

    Moreover Jeremiah said unto all the people, and to all the women, Hear the word of the LORD, all Judah that are in the land of Egypt:

25. 25

    כֹּה־אָמַרko-a/MARthus saysיְהֹוָה־צְבָאוֹתAdonai-tse/va/OTthe LORD of hostsאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingאַתֶּםat/TEMyouוּנְשֵׁיכֶםu/ne/she/KHEMand your wivesוַתְּדַבֵּרְנָהvat/te/dab/BER/nahave spokenבְּפִיכֶםbe/fi/KHEMwith your mouthsוּבִידֵיכֶםu/vi/de/KHEMand with your handsמִלֵּאתֶםmil/le/TEMfulfilled itלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingעָשֹׂהa/SOdoנַעֲשֶׂהna/a/SEwe will doאֶת־נְדָרֵינוּet-ne/da/RE/nuour vowsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatנָדַרְנוּna/DAR/nuwe have vowedלְקַטֵּרle/kat/TERto burn incenseלִמְלֶכֶתlim/LE/khetfor the queen ofהַשָּׁמַיִםhash/sha/MA/yimthe heavensוּלְהַסֵּךְu/le/has/SEKHand to pour outלָהּlato herנְסָכִיםne/sa/KHIMdrink offeringsהָקֵיםha/KEMestablishתָּקִימְנָהta/KI/me/nathen establishאֶת־נִדְרֵיכֶםet-nid/re/KHEMyour vowsוְעָשֹׂהve/a/SOand doתַעֲשֶׂינָהta/a/SE/naperformאֶת־נִדְרֵיכֶם׃et-nid/re/KHEMyour vows

    Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saying; Ye and your wives have both spoken with your mouths, and fulfilled with your hand, saying, We will surely perform our vows that we have vowed, to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her: ye will surely accomplish your vows, and surely perform your vows.

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeשִׁמְעוּshim/Uhearדְבַר־יְהֹוָהde/VAR-Adonaithe word of the LORDכׇּל־יְהוּדָהkol-Ye/hu/DAall Judahהַיֹּשְׁבִיםhay/yosh/VIMwho dwellבְּאֶרֶץbe/E/retsin the land ofמִצְרָיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptהִנְנִיhin/NIbehold Iנִשְׁבַּעְתִּיnish/BA/tiI have swornבִּשְׁמִיbish/MIby my nameהַגָּדוֹלhag/ga/DOLgreatאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאִם־יִהְיֶהim-yih/YEit will not beעוֹדodagainשְׁמִיshe/MImy nameנִקְרָאnik/RAnamedבְּפִיbe/FIin the mouth ofכׇּל־אִישׁkol-ishany man ofיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahאֹמֵרo/MERsayingחַי־אֲדֹנָיchay-a/do/NAYas the Lord livesיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODבְּכׇל־אֶרֶץbe/KHOL-E/retsin all the land ofמִצְרָיִם׃Mits/RA/yimEgypt

    Therefore hear ye the word of the LORD, all Judah that dwell in the land of Egypt; Behold, I have sworn by my great name, saith the LORD, that my name shall no more be named in the mouth of any man of Judah in all the land of Egypt, saying, The Lord GOD liveth.

27. 27

    הִנְנִיhin/NIbehold Iשֹׁקֵדsho/KEDam watchingעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMover themלְרָעָהle/ra/Afor evilוְלֹאve/LOand notלְטוֹבָהle/to/VAfor goodוְתַמּוּve/TAM/muand will be consumedכׇל־אִישׁkhol-ishall the men ofיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwho areבְּאֶרֶץ־מִצְרַיִםbe/E/rets-mits/RA/yimin the land of Egyptבַּחֶרֶבba/CHE/revwith the swordוּבָרָעָבu/va/ra/AVand by famineעַד־כְּלוֹתָם׃ad-ke/lo/TAMuntil they are finished

    Behold, I will watch over them for evil, and not for good: and all the men of Judah that are in the land of Egypt shall be consumed by the sword and by the famine, until there be an end of them.

28. 28

    וּפְלִיטֵיu/fe/li/TEand those who escapeחֶרֶבCHE/revthe swordיְשֻׁבוּןye/shu/VUNwill returnמִן־אֶרֶץmin-E/retsfrom the land ofמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptאֶרֶץE/retsto the land ofיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahמְתֵיme/TEmen few inמִסְפָּרmis/PARnumberוְיָדְעוּve/ya/de/Uand shall knowכׇּל־שְׁאֵרִיתkol-she/e/RITall the remnant ofיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahהַבָּאִיםhab/ba/IMwho have goneלְאֶרֶץ־מִצְרַיִםle/E/rets-mits/RA/yimto the land of Egyptלָגוּרla/GURto sojournשָׁםshamthereדְּבַר־מִיde/VAR-miwhose wordיָקוּםya/KUMwill standמִמֶּנִּיmim/MEN/nifrom meוּמֵהֶם׃u/me/HEMor from them

    Yet a small number that escape the sword shall return out of the land of Egypt into the land of Judah, and all the remnant of Judah, that are gone into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, shall know whose words shall stand, mine, or theirs.

29. 29

    וְזֹאת־לָכֶםve/ZOT-la/KHEMand this will be to youהָאוֹתha/OTthe signנְאֻם־יְהֹוָהne/UM-Adonaisays the LORDכִּי־פֹקֵדki-fo/KEDthat will punishאֲנִיa/NIIעֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMyouבַּמָּקוֹםbam/ma/KOMin the placeהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatתֵּדְעוּted/Uyou shall knowכִּיkithatקוֹםkomstandיָקוּמוּya/KU/muwill standדְבָרַיde/va/RAYmy wordsעֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMagainst youלְרָעָה׃le/ra/Afor evil

    And this shall be a sign unto you, saith the LORD, that I will punish you in this place, that ye may know that my words shall surely stand against you for evil:

30. 30

    כֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDהִנְנִיhin/NIbehold Iנֹתֵןno/TENwill giveאֶת־פַּרְעֹהet-Par/OPharaohחׇפְרַעChof/RAHophraמֶלֶךְ־מִצְרַיִםME/lekh-Mits/RA/yimking of Egyptבְּיַדbe/YADinto the hand ofאֹיְבָיוoy/VAYVhis enemiesוּבְיַדu/ve/YADand into the hand ofמְבַקְשֵׁיme/vak/SHEthose who seekנַפְשׁוֹnaf/SHOhis lifeכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasנָתַתִּיna/TAT/tiI gaveאֶת־צִדְקִיָּהוּet-Tsid/kiy/YA/huZedekiahמֶלֶךְ־יְהוּדָהME/lekh-Ye/hu/DAking of Judahבְּיַדbe/YADinto the hand ofנְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּרNe/vu/khad/re/TSARNebuchadrezzarמֶלֶךְ־בָּבֶלME/lekh-Ba/VELking of Babylonאֹיְבוֹoy/VOhis enemyוּמְבַקֵּשׁu/me/vak/KESHwho soughtנַפְשׁוֹ׃naf/SHOhis life

    Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will give Pharaoh-hophra king of Egypt into the hand of his enemies, and into the hand of them that seek his life; as I gave Zedekiah king of Judah into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, his enemy, and that sought his life.
