   Moreover the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah the second time, while he was yet shut up in the court of the prison, saying,

   כֹּה־אָמַרko-a/MARthus saysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDעֹשָׂהּo/SAwho made itיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDיוֹצֵרyo/TSERwho formedאוֹתָהּo/TAitלַהֲכִינָהּla/ha/khi/NAto establish itיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDשְׁמוֹ׃she/MOis His name

   Thus saith the LORD the maker thereof, the LORD that formed it, to establish it; the LORD is his name;

   קְרָאke/RAcallאֵלַיe/LAYto meוְאֶעֱנֶךָּve/e/e/NEK/kaand I will answer youוְאַגִּידָהve/ag/GI/daand tellלְּךָle/KHAyouגְּדֹלוֹתge/do/LOTgreatוּבְצֻרוֹתu/ve/tsu/ROTand hidden thingsלֹאlonotיְדַעְתָּם׃ye/da/TAMhave known them

   Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

   כִּיkiforכֹהkhothusאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelעַל־בָּתֵּיal-bat/TEconcerning the houses ofהָעִירha/IRthe cityהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisוְעַל־בָּתֵּיve/AL-bat/TEand concerning the houses ofמַלְכֵיmal/KHEthe kings ofיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahהַנְּתֻצִיםhan/ne/tu/TSIMwhich are torn downאֶל־הַסֹּלְלוֹתel-has/sol/LOTagainst the siege moundsוְאֶל־הֶחָרֶב׃ve/EL-he/CHA/revand against the sword

   For thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning the houses of this city, and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah, which are thrown down by the mounts, and by the sword;

   בָּאִיםba/IMthey comeלְהִלָּחֵםle/hil/la/CHEMto fightאֶת־הַכַּשְׂדִּיםet-Hak/kas/DIMwith the Chaldeansוּלְמַלְאָםu/le/mal/AMand to fill themאֶת־פִּגְרֵיet-pig/REwith the dead bodies ofהָאָדָםha/a/DAMthe menאֲשֶׁר־הִכֵּיתִיa/SHER-hik/KE/tiwhom I have struckבְאַפִּיve/ap/PIin my angerוּבַחֲמָתִיu/va/cha/ma/TIand in my furyוַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand becauseהִסְתַּרְתִּיhis/TAR/tiI have hiddenפָנַיfa/NAYmy faceמֵהָעִירme/ha/IRfrom the cityהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisעַלalbecause ofכׇּל־רָעָתָם׃kol-ra/a/TAMall their wickedness

   They come to fight with the Chaldeans, but it is to fill them with the dead bodies of men, whom I have slain in mine anger and in my fury, and for all whose wickedness I have hid my face from this city.

   הִנְנִיhin/NIbehold Iמַעֲלֶה־לָּהּma/a/LE-lawill bring to itאֲרֻכָהa/ru/KHAhealthוּמַרְפֵּאu/mar/PEand healingוּרְפָאתִיםu/re/fa/TIMand I will heal themוְגִלֵּיתִיve/gil/le/TIand revealלָהֶםla/HEMto themעֲתֶרֶתa/TE/retan abundance ofשָׁלוֹםsha/LOMpeaceוֶאֱמֶת׃ve/e/METand truth

   Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth.

   וַהֲשִׁבֹתִיva/ha/shi/vo/TIand I will turn backאֶת־שְׁבוּתet-she/VUTthe captivity ofיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahוְאֵתve/ETandשְׁבוּתshe/VUTthe captivity ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelוּבְנִתִיםu/ve/ni/TIMand build themכְּבָרִאשֹׁנָה׃ke/va/ri/sho/NAas at the first

   And I will cause the captivity of Judah and the captivity of Israel to return, and will build them, as at the first.

8. 8

   וְטִהַרְתִּיםve/ti/har/TIMand I will cleanse themמִכׇּל־עֲוֺנָםmik/KOL-a/vo/NAMfrom all their iniquityאֲשֶׁרa/SHERby whichחָטְאוּ־לִיcha/te/U-lithey have sinned against meוְסָלַחְתִּיve/sa/lach/TIand I will pardon[לְכׇל־]עֲוֺנוֹתֵיהֶםle/KHOL-a/vo/no/te/HEMall their iniquitiesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERby whichחָטְאוּ־לִיcha/te/U-lithey have sinned against meוַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand by whichפָּשְׁעוּPASH/uthey transgressedבִי׃viagainst me

   And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, whereby they have sinned against me; and I will pardon all their iniquities, whereby they have sinned, and whereby they have transgressed against me.

   וְהָיְתָהve/ha/ye/TAand it will beלִּיlito meלְשֵׁםle/SHEMa name ofשָׂשׂוֹןsa/SONjoyלִתְהִלָּהlit/hil/LApraiseוּלְתִפְאֶרֶתu/le/tif/E/retand gloryלְכֹלle/KHOLbefore allגּוֹיֵיgo/YEthe nations ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoיִשְׁמְעוּyish/me/Uwill hearאֶת־כׇּל־הַטּוֹבָהet-kol-hat/to/VAall the goodאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIעֹשֶׂהo/SEdoאוֹתָםo/TAMfor themוּפָחֲדוּu/fa/cha/DUand they will fearוְרָגְזוּve/ra/ge/ZUand trembleעַלalforכׇּל־הַטּוֹבָהkol-hat/to/VAall the goodוְעַלve/ALand forכׇּל־הַשָּׁלוֹםkol-hash/sha/LOMall the prosperityאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIעֹשֶׂהo/SEdoלָּהּ׃lafor it

   And it shall be to me a name of joy, a praise and an honour before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear all the good that I do unto them: and they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and for all the prosperity that I procure unto it.

    כֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDעוֹדodagainיִשָּׁמַעyish/sha/MAwill be heardבַּמָּקוֹם־הַזֶּהbam/ma/KOM-haz/ZEin this placeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERof whichאַתֶּםat/TEMyouאֹמְרִיםom/RIMsayחָרֵבcha/REVa wasteהוּאhuit isמֵאֵיןme/ENwithoutאָדָםa/DAMmanוּמֵאֵיןu/me/ENand withoutבְּהֵמָהbe/he/MAbeastבְּעָרֵיbe/a/REin the cities ofיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahוּבְחֻצוֹתu/ve/chu/TSOTand in the streets ofיְרוּשָׁלַ͏ִםYe/ru/sha/LA/yimJerusalemהַנְשַׁמּוֹתhan/sham/MOTthat are desolateמֵאֵיןme/ENwithoutאָדָםa/DAMmanוּמֵאֵיןu/me/ENand withoutיוֹשֵׁבyo/SHEVinhabitantוּמֵאֵיןu/me/ENand withoutבְּהֵמָה׃be/he/MAbeast

    Thus saith the LORD; Again there shall be heard in this place, which ye say shall be desolate without man and without beast, even in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, that are desolate, without man, and without inhabitant, and without beast,

    קוֹלkolthe voice ofשָׂשׂוֹןsa/SONmirthוְקוֹלve/KOLand the voice ofשִׂמְחָהsim/CHAgladnessקוֹלkolthe voice ofחָתָןcha/TANthe bridegroomוְקוֹלve/KOLand the voice ofכַּלָּהkal/LAthe brideקוֹלkolthe voice ofאֹמְרִיםom/RIMthose who sayהוֹדוּho/DUgive thanks toאֶת־יְהֹוָהet-Adonaithe LORDצְבָאוֹתtse/va/OTof hostsכִּי־טוֹבki-tovfor good isיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDכִּי־לְעוֹלָםki-le/o/LAMfor forever isחַסְדּוֹchas/DOHis kindnessמְבִאִיםme/vi/IMwho bringתּוֹדָהto/DAthanksgivingבֵּיתbetinto the house ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDכִּי־אָשִׁיבki-a/SHIVfor I will turn backאֶת־שְׁבוּת־הָאָרֶץet-she/VUT-ha/A/retsthe captivity of the landכְּבָרִאשֹׁנָהke/va/ri/sho/NAas at the former timeאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say, Praise the LORD of hosts: for the LORD is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: and of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first, saith the LORD.

12. 12

    כֹּה־אָמַרko-a/MARthus saysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDצְבָאוֹתtse/va/OTof hostsעוֹדodagainיִהְיֶהyih/YEthere will beבַּמָּקוֹםbam/ma/KOMin the placeהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisהֶחָרֵבhe/cha/REVwhich is wasteמֵאֵין־אָדָםme/EN-a/DAMwithout manוְעַד־בְּהֵמָהve/AD-be/he/MAor beastוּבְכׇל־עָרָיוu/ve/KHOL-a/RAYVand in all its citiesנְוֵהne/VEpasture forרֹעִיםro/IMshepherdsמַרְבִּצִיםmar/bi/TSIMrestingצֹאן׃tsonflocks

    Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Again in this place, which is desolate without man and without beast, and in all the cities thereof, shall be an habitation of shepherds causing their flocks to lie down.

    בְּעָרֵיbe/a/REin the cities ofהָהָרha/HARthe mountainבְּעָרֵיbe/a/REin the cities ofהַשְּׁפֵלָהhash/she/fe/LAthe lowlandוּבְעָרֵיu/ve/a/REand in the cities ofהַנֶּגֶבhan/NE/gevthe Negevוּבְאֶרֶץu/ve/E/retsand in the land ofבִּנְיָמִןBin/ya/MINBenjaminוּבִסְבִיבֵיu/vis/vi/VEand in the places aroundיְרוּשָׁלַ͏ִםYe/ru/sha/LA/yimJerusalemוּבְעָרֵיu/ve/a/REand in the cities ofיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahעֹדodagainתַּעֲבֹרְנָהta/a/VOR/nawill passהַצֹּאןhats/TSONthe flockעַל־יְדֵיal-ye/DEunder the hands ofמוֹנֶהmo/NEhim who countsאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    In the cities of the mountains, in the cities of the vale, and in the cities of the south, and in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, shall the flocks pass again under the hands of him that telleth them, saith the LORD.

14. 14

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdיָמִיםya/MIMthe daysבָּאִיםba/IMare comingנְאֻם־יְהֹוָהne/UM-Adonaisays the LORDוַהֲקִמֹתִיva/ha/ki/mo/TIwhen I will fulfillאֶת־הַדָּבָרet-had/da/VARthe wordהַטּוֹבhat/TOVthe goodאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichדִּבַּרְתִּיdib/BAR/tiI have spokenאֶל־בֵּיתel-betconcerning the house ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelוְעַל־בֵּיתve/AL-betand concerning the house ofיְהוּדָה׃Ye/hu/DAJudah

    Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will perform that good thing which I have promised unto the house of Israel and to the house of Judah.

15. 15

    בַּיָּמִיםbay/ya/MIMin the daysהָהֵםha/HEMthoseוּבָעֵתu/va/ETand at the timeהַהִיאha/HIthatאַצְמִיחַats/MI/achI will cause to sproutלְדָוִדle/Da/VIDfor DavidצֶמַחTSE/macha Branch ofצְדָקָהtse/da/KArighteousnessוְעָשָׂהve/a/SAand he will executeמִשְׁפָּטmish/PATjusticeוּצְדָקָהu/tse/da/KAand righteousnessבָּאָרֶץ׃ba/A/retsin the land

    In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land.

16. 16

    בַּיָּמִיםbay/ya/MIMin the daysהָהֵםha/HEMthoseתִּוָּשַׁעtiv/va/SHAwill be savedיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahוִירוּשָׁלַ͏ִםVi/ru/sha/LA/yimand Jerusalemתִּשְׁכּוֹןtish/KONwill dwellלָבֶטַחla/VE/tachin safetyוְזֶהve/ZEand this isאֲשֶׁר־יִקְרָא־לָהּa/SHER-yik/RA-laby which she will be calledיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDצִדְקֵנוּ׃tsid/KE/nuour righteousness

    In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: and this is the name wherewith she shall be called, The LORD our righteousness.

17. 17

    כִּי־כֹהki-khofor thusאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDלֹא־יִכָּרֵתlo-yik/ka/RETwill not lackלְדָוִדLe/da/VIDDavidאִישׁisha manיֹשֵׁבyo/SHEVto sitעַל־כִּסֵּאal-kis/SEon the throne ofבֵית־יִשְׂרָאֵל׃vet-Yis/ra/ELthe house of Israel

    For thus saith the LORD; David shall never want a man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel;

18. 18

    וְלַכֹּהֲנִיםve/lak/ko/ha/NIMand the priestsהַלְוִיִּםHal/viy/YIMthe Levitesלֹא־יִכָּרֵתlo-yik/ka/RETwill not lackאִישׁisha manמִלְּפָנָיmil/le/fa/NAYbefore meמַעֲלֶהma/a/LEto offerעוֹלָהo/LAburnt offeringsוּמַקְטִירu/mak/TIRand to burnמִנְחָהmin/CHAa grain offeringוְעֹשֶׂהve/O/seand to makeזֶּבַחZE/vachsacrificeכׇּל־הַיָּמִים׃kol-hay/ya/MIMall the days

    Neither shall the priests the Levites want a man before me to offer burnt offerings, and to kindle meat offerings, and to do sacrifice continually.

19. 19

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passדְּבַר־יְהֹוָהde/VAR-Adonaithe word of the LORDאֶל־יִרְמְיָהוּel-Yir/me/YA/huto Jeremiahלֵאמוֹר׃le/MORsaying

    And the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah, saying,

20. 20

    כֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאִם־תָּפֵרוּim-ta/FE/ruif you can breakאֶת־בְּרִיתִיet-be/ri/TImy covenantהַיּוֹםhay/YOMwith the dayוְאֶת־בְּרִיתִיve/ET-be/ri/TIand my covenantהַלָּיְלָהhal/LAY/lawith the nightוּלְבִלְתִּיu/le/vil/TIso that notהֱיוֹתhe/YOTthere beיוֹמָם־וָלַיְלָהyo/MAM-va/LAY/laday and nightבְּעִתָּם׃be/it/TAMin their time

    Thus saith the LORD; If ye can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, and that there should not be day and night in their season;

21. 21

    גַּם־בְּרִיתִיgam-be/ri/TIalso my covenantתֻפַרtu/FARmay be brokenאֶת־דָּוִדet-Da/VIDDavidעַבְדִּיav/DImy servantמִהְיוֹת־לוֹmih/YOT-loso that he would not haveבֵןvensonמֹלֵךְmo/LEKHto reignעַל־כִּסְאוֹal-kis/Oon his throneוְאֶת־הַלְוִיִּםve/ET-hal/viy/YIMand the Levitesהַכֹּהֲנִיםhak/ko/ha/NIMthe priestsמְשָׁרְתָי׃me/sha/re/TAYmy ministers

    Then may also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he should not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers.

22. 22

    אֲשֶׁרa/SHERasלֹא־יִסָּפֵרlo-yis/sa/FERcannot be numberedצְבָאtse/VAthe host ofהַשָּׁמַיִםhash/sha/MA/yimthe heavensוְלֹאve/LOnorיִמַּדyim/MADbe measuredחוֹלcholthe sand ofהַיָּםhay/YAMthe seaכֵּןkensoאַרְבֶּהar/BEwill I multiplyאֶת־זֶרַעet-ZE/rathe seed ofדָּוִדDa/VIDDavidעַבְדִּיav/DImy servantוְאֶת־הַלְוִיִּםve/ET-hal/viy/YIMand the Levitesמְשָׁרְתֵיme/sha/re/TEwho minister toאֹתִי׃o/TIme

    As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured: so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me.

23. 23

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passדְּבַר־יְהֹוָהde/VAR-Adonaithe word of the LORDאֶל־יִרְמְיָהוּel-Yir/me/YA/huto Jeremiahלֵאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

    Moreover the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying,

24. 24

    הֲלוֹאha/LOhave you notרָאִיתָra/I/taconsideredמָה־הָעָםma-ha/AMwhat the peopleהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisדִּבְּרוּdib/be/RUhave spokenלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingשְׁתֵּיshtethe twoהַמִּשְׁפָּחוֹתham/mish/pa/CHOTthe familiesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichבָּחַרba/CHARchoseיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבָּהֶםba/HEMthemוַיִּמְאָסֵםvay/yim/a/SEMHe has rejected themוְאֶת־עַמִּיve/ET-am/MIand my peopleיִנְאָצוּןyin/a/TSUNthey despiseמִהְיוֹתmih/YOTfrom beingעוֹדodstillגּוֹיgoya nationלִפְנֵיהֶם׃lif/ne/HEMin their sight

    Considerest thou not what this people have spoken, saying, The two families which the LORD hath chosen, he hath even cast them off? thus they have despised my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.

25. 25

    כֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאִם־לֹאim-loif notבְרִיתִיve/ri/TImy covenant withיוֹמָםyo/MAMby dayוָלָיְלָהva/LAY/laand nightחֻקּוֹתchuk/KOTthe ordinances ofשָׁמַיִםsha/MA/yimthe heavensוָאָרֶץva/A/retsand earthלֹא־שָׂמְתִּי׃lo-SAM/tiI have not appointed

    Thus saith the LORD; If my covenant be not with day and night, and if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth;

26. 26

    גַּם־זֶרַעgam-ZE/rathen the seed ofיַעֲקוֹבYa/a/KOVJacobוְדָוִדve/Da/VIDand Davidעַבְדִּיav/DImy servantאֶמְאַסem/ASI will rejectמִקַּחַתmik/KA/chatso as not to takeמִזַּרְעוֹmiz/zar/Ofrom his seedמֹשְׁלִיםmosh/LIMrulersאֶל־זֶרַעel-ZE/raover the seed ofאַבְרָהָםAv/ra/HAMAbrahamיִשְׂחָקYis/CHAKIsaacוְיַעֲקֹבve/Ya/a/KOVand Jacobכִּי־[אָשִׁיב]ki-a/SHIVfor I will turn back(אשוב)shavavאֶת־שְׁבוּתָםet-she/vu/TAMtheir captivityוְרִחַמְתִּים׃ve/ri/cham/TIMand I will have compassion on them

    Then will I cast away the seed of Jacob, and David my servant, so that I will not take any of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: for I will cause their captivity to return, and have mercy on them.
