   The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD in the tenth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, which was the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar.

   וְאָזve/AZand thenחֵילchelthe army ofמֶלֶךְME/lekhthe king ofבָּבֶלBa/VELBabylonצָרִיםtsa/RIMwere besiegingעַל־יְרוּשָׁלָ͏ִםal-Ye/ru/sha/LA/yimJerusalemוְיִרְמְיָהוּve/Yir/me/YA/huand Jeremiahהַנָּבִיאhan/na/VIthe prophetהָיָהha/YAwasכָלוּאkha/LUshut upבַּחֲצַרba/cha/TSARin the court ofהַמַּטָּרָהham/mat/ta/RAthe guardאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhich was inבֵּית־מֶלֶךְbet-ME/lekhin the house of the king ofיְהוּדָה׃Ye/hu/DAJudah

   For then the king of Babylon's army besieged Jerusalem: and Jeremiah the prophet was shut up in the court of the prison, which was in the king of Judah's house.

   אֲשֶׁרa/SHERforכְּלָאוֹke/la/Ohad shut him upצִדְקִיָּהוּTsid/kiy/YA/huZedekiahמֶלֶךְ־יְהוּדָהME/lekh-Ye/hu/DAking of Judahלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingמַדּוּעַmad/DU/awhyאַתָּהat/TAyouנִבָּאnib/BAprophesyלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingכֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDהִנְנִיhin/NIbehold Iנֹתֵןno/TENwill giveאֶת־הָעִירet-ha/IRthe cityהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisבְּיַדbe/YADinto the hand ofמֶלֶךְ־בָּבֶלME/lekh-Ba/VELking of Babylonוּלְכָדָהּ׃u/le/kha/DAand he shall take it

   For Zedekiah king of Judah had shut him up, saying, Wherefore dost thou prophesy, and say, Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall take it;

   וְצִדְקִיָּהוּve/Tsid/kiy/YA/huand ZedekiahמֶלֶךְME/lekhthe king ofיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahלֹאlonotיִמָּלֵטyim/ma/LETwill escapeמִיַּדmiy/YADfrom the hand ofהַכַּשְׂדִּיםhak/Kas/DIMthe Chaldeansכִּיkibutהִנָּתֹןhin/na/TONbe givenיִנָּתֵןyin/na/TENwill be givenבְּיַדbe/YADinto the hand ofמֶלֶךְ־בָּבֶלME/lekh-Ba/VELking of Babylonוְדִבֶּר־פִּיוve/dib/BER-pivand his mouth will speakעִם־פִּיוim-pivwith his mouthוְעֵינָיוve/e/NAYVand his eyesאֶת־עֵינָוet-e/NAVhis eyesתִּרְאֶינָה׃tir/E/nawill see

   And Zedekiah king of Judah shall not escape out of the hand of the Chaldeans, but shall surely be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon, and shall speak with him mouth to mouth, and his eyes shall behold his eyes;

   וּבָבֶלu/Va/VELand to Babylonיוֹלִךְyo/LIKHhe will leadאֶת־צִדְקִיָּהוּet-Tsid/kiy/YA/huZedekiahוְשָׁםve/SHAMand thereיִהְיֶהyih/YEhe will beעַד־פׇּקְדִיad-pok/DIuntil I visitאֹתוֹo/TOhimנְאֻם־יְהֹוָהne/UM-Adonaisays the LORDכִּיkithoughתִלָּחֲמוּtil/la/cha/MUyou fightאֶת־הַכַּשְׂדִּיםet-Hak/kas/DIMwith the Chaldeansלֹאlonotתַצְלִיחוּ׃tats/LI/chuwill you prosper

   And he shall lead Zedekiah to Babylon, and there shall he be until I visit him, saith the LORD: though ye fight with the Chaldeans, ye shall not prosper.

   And Jeremiah said, The word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

   הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdחֲנַמְאֵלCha/nam/ELHanameelבֶּן־שַׁלֻּםben-Shal/LUMson of Shallumדֹּדְךָdod/KHAyour uncleבָּאbawill comeאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khato youלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingקְנֵהke/NEbuyלְךָle/KHAfor yourselfאֶת־שָׂדִיet-sa/DImy fieldאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat isבַּעֲנָתוֹתba/A/na/TOTin Anathothכִּיkiforלְךָle/KHAyours isמִשְׁפַּטmish/PATthe right ofהַגְּאֻלָּהhag/ge/ul/LAredemptionלִקְנוֹת׃lik/NOTto buy it

   Behold, Hanameel the son of Shallum thine uncle shall come unto thee, saying, Buy thee my field that is in Anathoth: for the right of redemption is thine to buy it.

   So Hanameel mine uncle's son came to me in the court of the prison according to the word of the LORD, and said unto me, Buy my field, I pray thee, that is in Anathoth, which is in the country of Benjamin: for the right of inheritance is thine, and the redemption is thine; buy it for thyself. Then I knew that this was the word of the LORD.

   וָאֶקְנֶהva/ek/NEand I boughtאֶת־הַשָּׂדֶהet-has/sa/DEthe fieldמֵאֵתme/ETfromחֲנַמְאֵלCha/nam/ELHanameelבֶּן־דֹּדִיben-do/DIson of my uncleאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat isבַּעֲנָתוֹתba/A/na/TOTin Anathothוָאֶשְׁקְלָה־לּוֹva/esh/ke/LA-loand weighed out to himאֶת־הַכֶּסֶףet-hak/KE/sefthe moneyשִׁבְעָהshiv/Asevenשְׁקָלִיםshe/ka/LIMshekelsוַעֲשָׂרָהva/a/sa/RAand tenהַכָּסֶף׃hak/KA/sefof silver

   And I bought the field of Hanameel my uncle's son, that was in Anathoth, and weighed him the money, even seventeen shekels of silver.

    וָאֶכְתֹּבva/ekh/TOVand I wroteבַּסֵּפֶרbas/SE/ferin the deedוָאֶחְתֹּםva/ech/TOMand I sealed itוָאָעֵדva/a/EDand calledעֵדִיםe/DIMwitnessesוָאֶשְׁקֹלva/esh/KOLand weighedהַכֶּסֶףhak/KE/sefthe moneyבְּמֹאזְנָיִם׃be/mo/ze/NA/yimon the scales

    And I subscribed the evidence, and sealed it, and took witnesses, and weighed him the money in the balances.

11. 11

    וָאֶקַּחva/ek/KACHand I tookאֶת־סֵפֶרet-SE/ferthe deed ofהַמִּקְנָהham/mik/NAthe purchaseאֶת־הֶחָתוּםet-he/cha/TUMthe sealed oneהַמִּצְוָהham/mits/VAthe termsוְהַחֻקִּיםve/ha/chuk/KIMand the conditionsוְאֶת־הַגָּלוּי׃ve/ET-hag/ga/LUYand the open one

    So I took the evidence of the purchase, both that which was sealed according to the law and custom, and that which was open:

    וָאֶתֵּןva/et/TENand I gaveאֶת־הַסֵּפֶרet-has/SE/ferthe deed ofהַמִּקְנָהham/mik/NAthe purchaseאֶל־בָּרוּךְel-Ba/RUKHto Baruchבֶּן־נֵרִיָּהben-Ne/riy/YAson of Neriahבֶּן־מַחְסֵיָהben-Mach/se/YAson of Mahseiahלְעֵינֵיle/e/NEin the sight ofחֲנַמְאֵלCha/nam/ELHanameelדֹּדִיdo/DImy uncleוּלְעֵינֵיu/le/e/NEand in the sight ofהָעֵדִיםha/e/DIMthe witnessesהַכֹּתְבִיםhak/kot/VIMwho signedבְּסֵפֶרbe/SE/ferin the book ofהַמִּקְנָהham/mik/NAthe purchaseלְעֵינֵיle/e/NEin the sight ofכׇּל־הַיְּהוּדִיםkol-Hay/ye/hu/DIMall the Jewsהַיֹּשְׁבִיםhay/yosh/VIMwho satבַּחֲצַרba/cha/TSARin the court ofהַמַּטָּרָה׃ham/mat/ta/RAthe guard

    And I gave the evidence of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Maaseiah, in the sight of Hanameel mine uncle's son, and in the presence of the witnesses that subscribed the book of the purchase, before all the Jews that sat in the court of the prison.

    וָאֲצַוֶּהva/a/tsav/VEand I commandedאֶת־בָּרוּךְet-Ba/RUKHBaruchלְעֵינֵיהֶםle/e/ne/HEMbefore themלֵאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

    And I charged Baruch before them, saying,

14. 14

    כֹּה־אָמַרko-a/MARthus saysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDצְבָאוֹתtse/va/OTof hostsאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelלָקוֹחַla/KO/achtakeאֶת־הַסְּפָרִיםet-has/se/fa/RIMthe deedsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseאֵת־סֵפֶרet-SE/ferthe deed ofהַמִּקְנָהham/mik/NAthe purchaseהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוְאֵתve/ETandהֶחָתוּםhe/cha/TUMthe sealedוְאֵתve/ETandסֵפֶרSE/ferthe deedהַגָּלוּיhag/ga/LUYopenהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוּנְתַתָּםu/ne/tat/TAMand put themבִּכְלִי־חָרֶשׂbikh/LI-CHA/resin an earthen vesselלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatיַעַמְדוּya/am/DUthey may lastיָמִיםya/MIMdaysרַבִּים׃rab/BIMmany

    Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Take these evidences, this evidence of the purchase, both which is sealed, and this evidence which is open; and put them in an earthen vessel, that they may continue many days.

    כִּיkiforכֹהkhothusאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDצְבָאוֹתtse/va/OTof hostsאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelעוֹדodagainיִקָּנוּyik/ka/NUwill be boughtבָתִּיםvat/TIMhousesוְשָׂדוֹתve/sa/DOTand fieldsוּכְרָמִיםu/khe/ra/MIMand vineyardsבָּאָרֶץba/A/retsin the landהַזֹּאת׃haz/ZOTthis

    For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Houses and fields and vineyards shall be possessed again in this land.

16. 16

    וָאֶתְפַּלֵּלva/et/pal/LELand I prayedאֶל־יְהֹוָהel-Adonaito the LORDאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterתִתִּיtit/TII had givenאֶת־סֵפֶרet-SE/ferthe deed ofהַמִּקְנָהham/mik/NAthe purchaseאֶל־בָּרוּךְel-Ba/RUKHto Baruchבֶּן־נֵרִיָּהben-Ne/riy/YAson of Neriahלֵאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

    Now when I had delivered the evidence of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, I prayed unto the LORD, saying,

17. 17

    אֲהָהּa/HAalasאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYO LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאַתָּהat/TAYouעָשִׂיתָa/SI/taYou have madeאֶת־הַשָּׁמַיִםet-hash/sha/MA/yimthe heavensוְאֶת־הָאָרֶץve/ET-ha/A/retsand the earthבְּכֹחֲךָbe/kho/cha/KHAby Your powerהַגָּדוֹלhag/ga/DOLgreatוּבִזְרֹעֲךָu/viz/ro/a/KHAand by Your armהַנְּטוּיָהhan/ne/tu/YAoutstretchedלֹא־יִפָּלֵאlo-yip/pa/LEis not too hardמִמְּךָmim/me/KHAfor Youכׇּל־דָּבָר׃kol-da/VARanything

    Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:

18. 18

    עֹשֶׂהo/SEwho showsחֶסֶדCHE/sedkindnessלַאֲלָפִיםla/a/la/FIMto thousandsוּמְשַׁלֵּםu/me/shal/LEMand repaysעֲוֺןa/VONthe iniquity ofאָבוֹתa/VOTthe fathersאֶל־חֵיקel-chekinto the bosom ofבְּנֵיהֶםbe/ne/HEMtheir childrenאַחֲרֵיהֶםa/cha/re/HEMafter themהָאֵלha/ELthe Godהַגָּדוֹלhag/ga/DOLgreatהַגִּבּוֹרhag/gib/BORmightyיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDצְבָאוֹתtse/va/OTof hostsשְׁמוֹ׃she/MOis His name

    Thou shewest lovingkindness unto thousands, and recompensest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: the Great, the Mighty God, the LORD of hosts, is his name,

19. 19

    גְּדֹלge/DOLgreat inהָעֵצָהha/e/TSAcounselוְרַבve/RAVand mighty inהָעֲלִילִיָּהha/a/li/liy/YAdeedאֲשֶׁר־עֵינֶיךָa/SHER-e/NE/khawhose eyesפְקֻחוֹתfe/ku/CHOTare openעַל־כׇּל־דַּרְכֵיal-kol-dar/KHEupon all the ways ofבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofאָדָםa/DAMmenלָתֵתla/TETto giveלְאִישׁle/ISHto eachכִּדְרָכָיוkid/ra/KHAYVaccording to his waysוְכִפְרִיve/khif/RIand according to the fruit ofמַעֲלָלָיו׃ma/a/la/LAYVhis deeds

    Great in counsel, and mighty in work: for thine eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men: to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings:

    אֲשֶׁר־שַׂמְתָּa/SHER-SAM/tawho have setאֹתוֹתo/TOTsignsוּמֹפְתִיםu/mof/TIMand wondersבְּאֶרֶץ־מִצְרַיִםbe/E/rets-mits/RA/yimin the land of Egyptעַד־הַיּוֹםad-hay/YOMto the dayהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוּבְיִשְׂרָאֵלu/ve/Yis/ra/ELand in Israelוּבָאָדָםu/va/a/DAMand among menוַתַּעֲשֶׂה־לְּךָvat/ta/a/SE-le/KHAand have made for Yourselfשֵׁםshema nameכַּיּוֹםkay/YOMas at the dayהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

    Which hast set signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, even unto this day, and in Israel, and among other men; and hast made thee a name, as at this day;

21. 21

    וַתֹּצֵאvat/to/TSEand You broughtאֶת־עַמְּךָet-am/me/KHAYour peopleאֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵלet-Yis/ra/ELIsraelמֵאֶרֶץme/E/retsfrom the land ofמִצְרָיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptבְּאֹתוֹתbe/o/TOTby signsוּבְמוֹפְתִיםu/ve/mof/TIMand by wondersוּבְיָדu/ve/YADand with a handחֲזָקָהcha/za/KAstrongוּבְאֶזְרוֹעַu/ve/ez/RO/aand with an armנְטוּיָהne/tu/YAstretched outוּבְמוֹרָאu/ve/mo/RAand with terrorגָּדוֹל׃ga/DOLgreat

    And hast brought forth thy people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs, and with wonders, and with a strong hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with great terror;

22. 22

    וַתִּתֵּןvat/tit/TENand You gaveלָהֶםla/HEMto themאֶת־הָאָרֶץet-ha/A/retsthe landהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisאֲשֶׁר־נִשְׁבַּעְתָּa/SHER-nish/BA/tawhich You sworeלַאֲבוֹתָםla/a/vo/TAMto their fathersלָתֵתla/TETto giveלָהֶםla/HEMto themאֶרֶץE/retsa landזָבַתza/VATflowing withחָלָבcha/LAVmilkוּדְבָשׁ׃u/de/VASHand honey

    And hast given them this land, which thou didst swear to their fathers to give them, a land flowing with milk and honey;

23. 23

    וַיָּבֹאוּvay/ya/VO/uand they came inוַיִּרְשׁוּvay/yir/SHUand possessedאֹתָהּo/TAitוְלֹא־שָׁמְעוּve/LO-sha/me/Ubut did not obeyבְקוֹלֶךָve/ko/LE/khaYour voice[וּבְתוֹרָתְךָ]u/ve/to/ra/te/KHAor in Your lawלֹא־הָלָכוּlo-ha/LA/khuwalkedאֵת־כׇּל־אֲשֶׁרet-kol-a/SHERof all thatצִוִּיתָהtsiv/VI/taYou commandedלָהֶםla/HEMthemלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto doלֹאlonothingעָשׂוּa/SUthey didוַתַּקְרֵאvat/tak/REso You have caused to befallאֹתָםo/TAMthemאֵת־כׇּל־הָרָעָהet-kol-ha/ra/Aall the evilהַזֹּאת׃haz/ZOTthis

    And they came in, and possessed it; but they obeyed not thy voice, neither walked in thy law; they have done nothing of all that thou commandedst them to do: therefore thou hast caused all this evil to come upon them:

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdהַסֹּלְלוֹתhas/sol/LOTthe siege moundsבָּאוּBA/uhave comeהָעִירha/IRto the cityלְלׇכְדָהּle/lokh/DAto take itוְהָעִירve/ha/IRand the cityנִתְּנָהnit/te/NAis givenבְּיַדbe/YADinto the hand ofהַכַּשְׂדִּיםhak/Kas/DIMthe Chaldeansהַנִּלְחָמִיםhan/nil/cha/MIMwho fightעָלֶיהָa/LE/haagainst itמִפְּנֵיmip/pe/NEbecause ofהַחֶרֶבha/CHE/revthe swordוְהָרָעָבve/ha/ra/AVand the famineוְהַדָּבֶרve/had/DA/verand the pestilenceוַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand whatדִּבַּרְתָּdib/BAR/tayou have spokenהָיָהha/YAhas happenedוְהִנְּךָve/hin/ne/KHAand behold Youרֹאֶה׃ro/Esee

    Behold the mounts, they are come unto the city to take it; and the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans, that fight against it, because of the sword, and of the famine, and of the pestilence: and what thou hast spoken is come to pass; and, behold, thou seest it.

    וְאַתָּהve/at/TAyet Youאָמַרְתָּa/MAR/taYou have saidאֵלַיe/LAYto meאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYO LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODקְנֵה־לְךָke/NE-le/KHAbuy for yourselfהַשָּׂדֶהhas/sa/DEthe fieldבַּכֶּסֶףbak/KE/seffor moneyוְהָעֵדve/ha/EDand callעֵדִיםe/DIMwitnessesוְהָעִירve/ha/IRthough the cityנִתְּנָהnit/te/NAis givenבְּיַדbe/YADinto the hand ofהַכַּשְׂדִּים׃hak/Kas/DIMthe Chaldeans

    And thou hast said unto me, O Lord GOD, Buy thee the field for money, and take witnesses; for the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.

    Then came the word of the LORD unto Jeremiah, saying,

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאֲנִיa/NIIיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofכׇּל־בָּשָׂרkol-ba/SARall fleshהֲמִמֶּנִּיha/mim/MEN/niis for meיִפָּלֵאyip/pa/LEtoo hardכׇּל־דָּבָר׃kol-da/VARanything

    Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeכֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDהִנְנִיhin/NIbehold Iנֹתֵןno/TENwill giveאֶת־הָעִירet-ha/IRthe cityהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisבְּיַדbe/YADinto the hand ofהַכַּשְׂדִּיםhak/Kas/DIMthe Chaldeansוּבְיַדu/ve/YADand into the hand ofנְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּרNe/vu/khad/re/TSARNebuchadrezzarמֶלֶךְ־בָּבֶלME/lekh-Ba/VELking of Babylonוּלְכָדָהּ׃u/le/kha/DAand he shall take it

    Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the Chaldeans, and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and he shall take it:

29. 29

    וּבָאוּu/VA/uand will comeהַכַּשְׂדִּיםhak/Kas/DIMthe Chaldeansהַנִּלְחָמִיםhan/nil/cha/MIMwho fightעַל־הָעִירal-ha/IRagainst the cityהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisוְהִצִּיתוּve/hits/TSI/tuand set on fireאֶת־הָעִירet-ha/IRthe cityהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisבָּאֵשׁba/ESHby fireוּשְׂרָפוּהָu/se/ra/FU/haand burn itוְאֵתve/ETandהַבָּתִּיםhab/bat/TIMthe housesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERon whichקִטְּרוּkit/te/RUthey have burned incenseעַל־גַּגּוֹתֵיהֶםal-gag/go/te/HEMupon their roofsלַבַּעַלlab/BA/alto Baalוְהִסִּכוּve/his/SI/khuand poured outנְסָכִיםne/sa/KHIMdrink offeringsלֵאלֹהִים־אֲחֵרִיםle/lo/HIM-a/che/RIMto other godsלְמַעַןle/MA/antoהַכְעִסֵנִי׃hakh/i/SE/nito provoke me to anger

    And the Chaldeans, that fight against this city, shall come and set fire on this city, and burn it with the houses, upon whose roofs they have offered incense unto Baal, and poured out drink offerings unto other gods, to provoke me to anger.

30. 30

    כִּי־הָיוּki-ha/YUfor haveבְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵלve/NE-yis/ra/ELthe sons of Israelוּבְנֵיu/ve/NEand the sons ofיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahאַךְakhonlyעֹשִׂיםo/SIMbeen doingהָרַעha/RAevilבְּעֵינַיbe/e/NAYin my sightמִנְּעֻרֹתֵיהֶםmin/ne/u/ro/te/HEMfrom their youthכִּיkiforבְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵלve/NE-yis/ra/ELthe sons of Israelאַךְakhonlyמַכְעִסִיםmakh/i/SIMhave provokedאֹתִיo/TImeבְּמַעֲשֵׂהbe/ma/a/SEby the work ofיְדֵיהֶםye/de/HEMtheir handsנְאֻם־יְהֹוָה׃ne/UM-Adonaisays the LORD

    For the children of Israel and the children of Judah have only done evil before me from their youth: for the children of Israel have only provoked me to anger with the work of their hands, saith the LORD.

31. 31

    כִּיkiforעַל־אַפִּיal-ap/PIa provocation of my angerוְעַל־חֲמָתִיve/AL-cha/ma/TIand of my furyהָיְתָהha/ye/TAhas beenלִּיlito meהָעִירha/IRthe cityהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisלְמִן־הַיּוֹםle/MIN-hay/YOMfrom the dayאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatבָּנוּBA/nuthey builtאוֹתָהּo/TAitוְעַדve/ADtoהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthe dayהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisלַהֲסִירָהּla/ha/si/RAthat I should remove itמֵעַלme/ALfromפָּנָי׃pa/NAYmy sight

    For this city hath been to me as a provocation of mine anger and of my fury from the day that they built it even unto this day; that I should remove it from before my face,

32. 32

    עַלalbecause ofכׇּל־רָעַתkol-ra/ATall the evil ofבְּנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵלbe/NE-yis/ra/ELthe sons of Israelוּבְנֵיu/ve/NEand the sons ofיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichעָשׂוּa/SUthey didלְהַכְעִסֵנִיle/hakh/i/SE/nito provoke me to angerהֵמָּהHEM/matheyמַלְכֵיהֶםmal/khe/HEMtheir kingsשָׂרֵיהֶםsa/re/HEMtheir princesכֹּהֲנֵיהֶםko/ha/ne/HEMtheir priestsוּנְבִיאֵיהֶםu/ne/vi/e/HEMand their prophetsוְאִישׁve/ISHand the men ofיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahוְיֹשְׁבֵיve/yosh/VEand the inhabitants ofיְרוּשָׁלָ͏ִם׃Ye/ru/sha/LA/yimJerusalem

    Because of all the evil of the children of Israel and of the children of Judah, which they have done to provoke me to anger, they, their kings, their princes, their priests, and their prophets, and the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

33. 33

    וַיִּפְנוּvay/yif/NUthey have turnedאֵלַיe/LAYto meעֹרֶףO/refthe backוְלֹאve/LOand notפָנִיםfa/NIMthe faceוְלַמֵּדve/lam/MEDthough I taughtאֹתָםo/TAMthemהַשְׁכֵּםhash/KEMrising earlyוְלַמֵּדve/lam/MEDand teachingוְאֵינָםve/e/NAMthey did notשֹׁמְעִיםshom/IMlistenלָקַחַתla/KA/chatto receiveמוּסָר׃mu/SARinstruction

    And they have turned unto me the back, and not the face: though I taught them, rising up early and teaching them, yet they have not hearkened to receive instruction.

34. 34

    וַיָּשִׂימוּvay/ya/SI/mubut they setשִׁקּוּצֵיהֶםshik/ku/tse/HEMtheir detestable thingsבַּבַּיִתbab/BA/yitin the houseאֲשֶׁר־נִקְרָא־שְׁמִיa/SHER-nik/RA-she/MIwhich is called by my nameעָלָיוa/LAYVon itלְטַמְּאוֹ׃le/tam/me/Oto defile it

    But they set their abominations in the house, which is called by my name, to defile it.

35. 35

    וַיִּבְנוּvay/yiv/NUand they builtאֶת־בָּמוֹתet-ba/MOTthe high places ofהַבַּעַלHab/BA/alBaalאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhich areבְּגֵיאbe/GEin the valley ofבֶן־הִנֹּםven-Hin/NOMthe son of Hinnomלְהַעֲבִירle/ha/a/VIRto make pass throughאֶת־בְּנֵיהֶםet-be/ne/HEMtheir sonsוְאֶת־בְּנוֹתֵיהֶםve/ET-be/no/te/HEMand their daughtersלַמֹּלֶךְlam/MO/lekhto Molechאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichלֹא־צִוִּיתִיםlo-tsiv/vi/TIMI did not command themוְלֹאve/LOnorעָלְתָהa/le/TAdid it comeעַל־לִבִּיal-lib/BIinto my mindלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTthat they should doהַתּוֹעֵבָהhat/to/e/VAthe abominationהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisלְמַעַןle/MA/antoהַחֲטִיha/cha/TImake sinאֶת־יְהוּדָה׃et-Ye/hu/DAJudah

    And they built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire unto Molech; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.

36. 36

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowלָכֵןla/KHENthereforeכֹּה־אָמַרko-a/MARthus saysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelאֶל־הָעִירel-ha/IRconcerning the cityהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisאֲשֶׁרa/SHERof whichאַתֶּםat/TEMyouאֹמְרִיםom/RIMsayנִתְּנָהnit/te/NAit is givenבְּיַדbe/YADinto the hand ofמֶלֶךְ־בָּבֶלME/lekh-Ba/VELking of Babylonבַּחֶרֶבba/CHE/revby the swordוּבָרָעָבu/va/ra/AVand by famineוּבַדָּבֶר׃u/vad/DA/verand by the pestilence

    And now therefore thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning this city, whereof ye say, It shall be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence;

37. 37

    הִנְנִיhin/NIbehold Iמְקַבְּצָםme/kab/be/TSAMwill gather themמִכׇּל־הָאֲרָצוֹתmik/KOL-ha/a/ra/TSOTfrom all the landsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhereהִדַּחְתִּיםhid/dach/TIMI have driven themשָׁםshamthereבְּאַפִּיbe/ap/PIin my angerוּבַחֲמָתִיu/va/cha/ma/TIand in my furyוּבְקֶצֶףu/ve/KE/tsefand in wrathגָּדוֹלga/DOLgreatוַהֲשִׁבֹתִיםva/ha/shi/vo/TIMand I will bring them backאֶל־הַמָּקוֹםel-ham/ma/KOMto the placeהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוְהֹשַׁבְתִּיםve/ho/shav/TIMand make them dwellלָבֶטַח׃la/VE/tachin safety

    Behold, I will gather them out of all countries, whither I have driven them in mine anger, and in my fury, and in great wrath; and I will bring them again unto this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely:

38. 38

    וְהָיוּve/ha/YUand they will beלִיlito meלְעָםle/AMa peopleוַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iאֶהְיֶהeh/YEwill beלָהֶםla/HEMto themלֵאלֹהִים׃le/lo/HIMGod

    And they shall be my people, and I will be their God:

39. 39

    וְנָתַתִּיve/na/tat/TIand I will giveלָהֶםla/HEMto themלֵבleva heartאֶחָדe/CHADoneוְדֶרֶךְve/DE/rekhand a wayאֶחָדe/CHADoneלְיִרְאָהle/yir/Ato fearאוֹתִיo/TImeכׇּל־הַיָּמִיםkol-hay/ya/MIMall the daysלְטוֹבle/TOVfor the good ofלָהֶםla/HEMthemוְלִבְנֵיהֶםve/liv/ne/HEMand their childrenאַחֲרֵיהֶם׃a/cha/re/HEMafter them

    And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me for ever, for the good of them, and of their children after them:

40. 40

    וְכָרַתִּיve/kha/rat/TIand I will makeלָהֶםla/HEMwith themבְּרִיתbe/RITa covenantעוֹלָםo/LAMeverlastingאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichלֹא־אָשׁוּבlo-a/SHUVI will not turnמֵאַחֲרֵיהֶםme/a/cha/re/HEMfrom themלְהֵיטִיבִיle/he/ti/VIdoing good toאוֹתָםo/TAMthemוְאֶת־יִרְאָתִיve/ET-yir/a/TIand the fear of meאֶתֵּןet/TENI will putבִּלְבָבָםbil/va/VAMin their heartsלְבִלְתִּיle/vil/TIso that notסוּרsurthey will turnמֵעָלָי׃me/a/LAYfrom me

    And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me.

41. 41

    וְשַׂשְׂתִּיve/sas/TIand I will rejoiceעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMover themלְהֵטִיבle/he/TIVdoing good toאוֹתָםo/TAMthemוּנְטַעְתִּיםu/ne/ta/TIMand I will plant themבָּאָרֶץba/A/retsin the landהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisבֶּאֱמֶתbe/e/METin faithfulnessבְּכׇל־לִבִּיbe/KHOL-lib/BIwith my whole heartוּבְכׇל־נַפְשִׁי׃u/ve/KHOL-naf/SHIand with my whole soul

    Yea, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul.

42. 42

    כִּי־כֹהki-khofor thusאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasהֵבֵאתִיhe/VE/tiI have broughtאֶל־הָעָםel-ha/AMon the peopleהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisאֵת־כׇּל־הָרָעָהet-kol-ha/ra/Aall the evilהַגְּדוֹלָהhag/ge/do/LAgreatהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisכֵּןkensoאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIמֵבִיאme/VIwill bringעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMon themאֶת־כׇּל־הַטּוֹבָהet-kol-hat/to/VAall the goodאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIדֹּבֵרdo/VERpromiseעֲלֵיהֶם׃a/le/HEMto them

    For thus saith the LORD; Like as I have brought all this great evil upon this people, so will I bring upon them all the good that I have promised them.

43. 43

    וְנִקְנָהve/nik/NAand will be boughtהַשָּׂדֶהhas/sa/DEfieldsבָּאָרֶץba/A/retsin the landהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisאֲשֶׁרa/SHERof whichאַתֶּםat/TEMyouאֹמְרִיםom/RIMsayשְׁמָמָהshe/ma/MAa desolationהִיאhiit isמֵאֵיןme/ENwithoutאָדָםa/DAMmanוּבְהֵמָהu/ve/he/MAor beastנִתְּנָהnit/te/NAit is givenבְּיַדbe/YADinto the hand ofהַכַּשְׂדִּים׃hak/Kas/DIMthe Chaldeans

    And fields shall be bought in this land, whereof ye say, It is desolate without man or beast; it is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.

44. 44

    שָׂדוֹתsa/DOTfieldsבַּכֶּסֶףbak/KE/seffor moneyיִקְנוּyik/NUthey will buyוְכָתוֹבve/kha/TOVand signבַּסֵּפֶרbas/SE/ferdeedsוְחָתוֹםve/cha/TOMand sealוְהָעֵדve/ha/EDand callעֵדִיםe/DIMwitnessesבְּאֶרֶץbe/E/retsin the land ofבִּנְיָמִןBin/ya/MINBenjaminוּבִסְבִיבֵיu/vis/vi/VEand in the places aroundיְרוּשָׁלַ͏ִםYe/ru/sha/LA/yimJerusalemוּבְעָרֵיu/ve/a/REand in the cities ofיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahוּבְעָרֵיu/ve/a/REand in the cities ofהָהָרha/HARthe mountainוּבְעָרֵיu/ve/a/REand in the cities ofהַשְּׁפֵלָהhash/she/fe/LAthe lowlandוּבְעָרֵיu/ve/a/REand in the cities ofהַנֶּגֶבhan/NE/gevthe Negevכִּי־אָשִׁיבki-a/SHIVfor I will turn backאֶת־שְׁבוּתָםet-she/vu/TAMtheir captivityנְאֻם־יְהֹוָה׃ne/UM-Adonaisays the LORD

    Men shall buy fields for money, and subscribe evidences, and seal them, and take witnesses in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, and in the cities of the mountains, and in the cities of the valley, and in the cities of the south: for I will cause their captivity to return, saith the LORD.
