   The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,

   כֹּה־אָמַרko-a/MARthus saysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingכְּתׇב־לְךָke/TOV-le/KHAwrite for yourselfאֵת־כׇּל־הַדְּבָרִיםet-kol-had/de/va/RIMall the wordsאֲשֶׁר־דִּבַּרְתִּיa/SHER-dib/BAR/tiwhich I have spokenאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khato youאֶל־סֵפֶר׃el-SE/ferin a book

   Thus speaketh the LORD God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book.

   כִּיkiforהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdיָמִיםya/MIMthe daysבָּאִיםba/IMare comingנְאֻם־יְהֹוָהne/UM-Adonaisays the LORDוְשַׁבְתִּיve/shav/TIwhen I will turn backאֶת־שְׁבוּתet-she/VUTthe captivity ofעַמִּיam/MImy peopleיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelוִיהוּדָהVi/hu/DAand Judahאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוַהֲשִׁבֹתִיםva/ha/shi/vo/TIMand I will bring them backאֶל־הָאָרֶץel-ha/A/retsto the landאֲשֶׁר־נָתַתִּיa/SHER-na/TAT/tiwhich I gaveלַאֲבוֹתָםla/a/vo/TAMto their fathersוִירֵשׁוּהָ׃vi/re/SHU/haand they shall possess it

   For, lo, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith the LORD: and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.

   And these are the words that the LORD spake concerning Israel and concerning Judah.

   כִּי־כֹהki-khofor thusאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDקוֹלkola sound ofחֲרָדָהcha/ra/DAtremblingשָׁמָעְנוּsha/MA/nuwe have heardפַּחַדPA/chadfearוְאֵיןve/ENand notשָׁלוֹם׃sha/LOMpeace

   For thus saith the LORD; We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace.

   שַׁאֲלוּ־נָאsha/a/LU-naask nowוּרְאוּu/re/Uand seeאִם־יֹלֵדim-yo/LEDwhether bears a childזָכָרza/KHARa maleמַדּוּעַmad/DU/awhyרָאִיתִיra/I/tido I seeכׇל־גֶּבֶרkhol-GE/verevery man withיָדָיוya/DAYVhis handsעַל־חֲלָצָיוal-cha/la/TSAYVon his loinsכַּיּוֹלֵדָהkay/yo/le/DAlike a woman in laborוְנֶהֶפְכוּve/ne/hef/KHUand turnedכׇל־פָּנִיםkhol-pa/NIMall facesלְיֵרָקוֹן׃le/ye/ra/KONpale

   Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with child? wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness?

   הוֹיhoyalasכִּיkiforגָדוֹלga/DOLgreat isהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthe dayהַהוּאha/HUthatמֵאַיִןme/A/yinthere is noneכָּמֹהוּka/MO/huis like itוְעֵת־צָרָהve/ET-tsa/RAa time of distressהִיאhiit isלְיַעֲקֹבle/Ya/a/KOVfor Jacobוּמִמֶּנָּהu/mim/MEN/nayet from itיִוָּשֵׁעַ׃yiv/va/SHE/ahe will be saved

   Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.

8. 8

   וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall come to passבַיּוֹםvay/YOMin the dayהַהוּאha/HUthatנְאֻםne/UMsaysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDצְבָאוֹתtse/va/OTof hostsאֶשְׁבֹּרesh/BORI will breakעֻלּוֹul/LOhis yokeמֵעַלme/ALfromצַוָּארֶךָtsav/va/RE/khayour neckוּמוֹסְרוֹתֶיךָu/mos/ro/TE/khaand your bondsאֲנַתֵּקa/nat/TEKwill burstוְלֹא־יַעַבְדוּ־בוֹve/LO-ya/av/DU-voand will no longer enslave himעוֹדodagainזָרִים׃za/RIMstrangers

   For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him:

9. 9

   וְעָבְדוּve/a/ve/DUand they will serveאֵת־יְהֹוָהet-Adonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיהֶםe/lo/he/HEMtheir Godוְאֵתve/ETandדָּוִדDa/VIDDavidמַלְכָּםmal/KAMtheir kingאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomאָקִיםa/KIMI will raise upלָהֶם׃la/HEMfor them

   But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.

10. 10

    וְאַתָּהve/at/TAand youאַל־תִּירָאal-ti/RAdo not fearעַבְדִּיav/DIO my servantיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVJacobנְאֻם־יְהֹוָהne/UM-Adonaisays the LORDוְאַל־תֵּחַתve/AL-te/CHATnor be dismayedיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELO Israelכִּיkiforהִנְנִיhin/NIbehold Iמוֹשִׁיעֲךָmo/shi/a/KHAwill save youמֵרָחוֹקme/ra/CHOKfrom afarוְאֶת־זַרְעֲךָve/ET-zar/a/KHAand your seedמֵאֶרֶץme/E/retsfrom the land ofשִׁבְיָםshiv/YAMtheir captivityוְשָׁבve/SHAVand will returnיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVJacobוְשָׁקַטve/sha/KATand be quietוְשַׁאֲנַןve/sha/a/NANand at easeוְאֵיןve/ENand no oneמַחֲרִיד׃ma/cha/RIDwill make him afraid

    Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid.

    כִּי־אִתְּךָki-it/te/KHAfor with youאֲנִיa/NIam Iנְאֻם־יְהֹוָהne/UM-Adonaisays the LORDלְהוֹשִׁיעֶךָle/ho/shi/E/khato save youכִּיkithoughאֶעֱשֶׂהe/e/SEI will makeכָלָהkha/LAa full endבְּכׇל־הַגּוֹיִםbe/KHOL-hag/go/YIMin all the nationsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhereהֲפִצוֹתִיךָha/fi/tso/TI/khaI have scattered youשָּׁםshamthereאַךְakhyetאֹתְךָot/KHAyouלֹא־אֶעֱשֶׂהlo-e/e/SEI will not makeכָלָהkha/LAa full endוְיִסַּרְתִּיךָve/yis/sar/TI/khaand I will discipline youלַמִּשְׁפָּטlam/mish/PATwith justiceוְנַקֵּהve/nak/KEleave unpunishedלֹאlonotאֲנַקֶּךָּ׃a/nak/KEK/kawill I leave you unpunished

    For I am with thee, saith the LORD, to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet will I not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished.

12. 12

    כִּיkiforכֹהkhothusאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאָנוּשׁa/NUSHincurableלְשִׁבְרֵךְle/shiv/REKHis your woundנַחְלָהnach/LAgrievousמַכָּתֵךְ׃mak/ka/TEKHis your blow

    For thus saith the LORD, Thy bruise is incurable, and thy wound is grievous.

13. 13

    אֵין־דָּןen-danthere is no one to pleadדִּינֵךְdi/NEKHyour causeלְמָזוֹרle/ma/ZORfor your woundרְפֻאוֹתre/fu/OTmedicinesתְּעָלָהte/a/LAhealingאֵיןenthere is noלָךְ׃lakhfor you

    There is none to plead thy cause, that thou mayest be bound up: thou hast no healing medicines.

14. 14

    כׇּל־מְאַהֲבַיִךְkol-me/a/ha/VA/yikhall your loversשְׁכֵחוּךְshe/khe/CHUKHhave forgotten youאוֹתָךְo/TAKHyouלֹאlonotיִדְרֹשׁוּyid/RO/shudo they seekכִּיkiforמַכַּתmak/KATwith the wound ofאוֹיֵבo/YEVan enemyהִכִּיתִיךְhik/ki/TIKHI have struck youמוּסַרmu/SARwith the discipline ofאַכְזָרִיakh/za/RIa cruel oneעַלalbecause ofרֹבrovthe multitude ofעֲוֺנֵךְa/vo/NEKHyour iniquityעָצְמוּa/tse/MUare numerousחַטֹּאתָיִךְ׃chat/to/TA/yikhyour sins

    All thy lovers have forgotten thee; they seek thee not; for I have wounded thee with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the multitude of thine iniquity; because thy sins were increased.

15. 15

    מַה־תִּזְעַקma-tiz/AKwhy do you cry outעַל־שִׁבְרֵךְal-shiv/REKHfor your hurtאָנוּשׁa/NUSHincurableמַכְאֹבֵךְmakh/o/VEKHis your painעַלalbecause ofרֹבrovthe multitude ofעֲוֺנֵךְa/vo/NEKHyour iniquityעָצְמוּa/tse/MUare numerousחַטֹּאתַיִךְchat/to/TA/yikhyour sinsעָשִׂיתִיa/SI/tiI have doneאֵלֶּהEL/letheseלָךְ׃lakhto you

    Why criest thou for thine affliction? thy sorrow is incurable for the multitude of thine iniquity: because thy sins were increased, I have done these things unto thee.

16. 16

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeכׇּל־אֹכְלַיִךְkol-okh/LA/yikhall those who devour youיֵאָכֵלוּye/a/KHE/lushall be devouredוְכׇל־צָרַיִךְve/KHOL-tsa/RA/yikhand all your foesכֻּלָּםkul/LAMall of themבַּשְּׁבִיbash/she/VIinto captivityיֵלֵכוּye/LE/khuwill goוְהָיוּve/ha/YUand will becomeשֹׁאסַיִךְsho/SA/yikhthose who plunder youלִמְשִׁסָּהlim/shis/SAplunderוְכׇל־בֹּזְזַיִךְve/KHOL-boz/ZA/yikhand all who prey on youאֶתֵּןet/TENI will giveלָבַז׃la/VAZas prey

    Therefore all they that devour thee shall be devoured; and all thine adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; and they that spoil thee shall be a spoil, and all that prey upon thee will I give for a prey.

17. 17

    כִּיkiforאַעֲלֶהa/a/LEI will restoreאֲרֻכָהa/ru/KHAhealthלָךְlakhto youוּמִמַּכּוֹתַיִךְu/mim/mak/ko/TA/yikhand from your woundsאֶרְפָּאֵךְer/pa/EKHI will heal youנְאֻם־יְהֹוָהne/UM-Adonaisays the LORDכִּיkibecauseנִדָּחָהnid/da/CHAan outcastקָרְאוּka/re/Uthey calledלָךְlakhyouצִיּוֹןTsiy/YONZionהִיאhishe isדֹּרֵשׁdo/RESHwho seeksאֵיןenno oneלָהּ׃lafor her

    For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.

18. 18

    כֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDהִנְנִי־שָׁבhin/NI-shavbehold I will turn backשְׁבוּתshe/VUTthe captivity ofאׇהֳלֵיo/ho/LEthe tents ofיַעֲקוֹבYa/a/KOVJacobוּמִשְׁכְּנֹתָיוu/mish/ke/no/TAYVand on his dwellingsאֲרַחֵםa/ra/CHEMI will have compassionוְנִבְנְתָהve/niv/ne/TAand will be builtעִירirthe cityעַל־תִּלָּהּal-til/LAon her moundוְאַרְמוֹןve/ar/MONand the palaceעַל־מִשְׁפָּטוֹal-mish/pa/TOon its rightful placeיֵשֵׁב׃ye/SHEVwill stand

    Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will bring again the captivity of Jacob's tents, and have mercy on his dwellingplaces; and the city shall be builded upon her own heap, and the palace shall remain after the manner thereof.

19. 19

    וְיָצָאve/ya/TSAand will come outמֵהֶםme/HEMfrom themתּוֹדָהto/DAthanksgivingוְקוֹלve/KOLand the voice ofמְשַׂחֲקִיםme/sa/cha/KIMthose who make merryוְהִרְבִּתִיםve/hir/bi/TIMand I will multiply themוְלֹאve/LOand notיִמְעָטוּyim/A/tuwill they be fewוְהִכְבַּדְתִּיםve/hikh/bad/TIMand I will honor themוְלֹאve/LOand notיִצְעָרוּ׃yits/A/ruwill they be small

    And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.

20. 20

    וְהָיוּve/ha/YUand will beבָנָיוva/NAYVtheir childrenכְּקֶדֶםke/KE/demas beforeוַעֲדָתוֹva/a/da/TOand their congregationלְפָנַיle/fa/NAYbefore meתִּכּוֹןtik/KONwill be establishedוּפָקַדְתִּיu/fa/kad/TIand I will punishעַלalonכׇּל־לֹחֲצָיו׃kol-lo/cha/TSAYVall that oppress them

    Their children also shall be as aforetime, and their congregation shall be established before me, and I will punish all that oppress them.

21. 21

    וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand will beאַדִּירוֹad/di/ROtheir mighty oneמִמֶּנּוּmim/MEN/nufrom themוּמֹשְׁלוֹu/mosh/LOand their rulerמִקִּרְבּוֹmik/kir/BOfrom their midstיֵצֵאye/TSEwill come outוְהִקְרַבְתִּיוve/hik/rav/TIVand I will bring him nearוְנִגַּשׁve/nig/GASHand he will approachאֵלָיe/LAYto meכִּיkiforמִיmiwhoהוּא־זֶהhu-zeis heעָרַבa/RAVwho has pledgedאֶת־לִבּוֹet-lib/BOhis heartלָגֶשֶׁתla/GE/shetto approachאֵלַיe/LAYto meנְאֻם־יְהֹוָה׃ne/UM-Adonaisays the LORD

    And their nobles shall be of themselves, and their governor shall proceed from the midst of them; and I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach unto me: for who is this that engaged his heart to approach unto me? saith the LORD.

22. 22

    וִהְיִיתֶםvih/yi/TEMand you will beלִיlito meלְעָםle/AMa peopleוְאָנֹכִיve/a/no/KHIand Iאֶהְיֶהeh/YEwill beלָכֶםla/KHEMto youלֵאלֹהִים׃le/lo/HIMGod

    And ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.

23. 23

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdסַעֲרַתsa/a/RATthe storm ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDחֵמָהche/MAfuryיָצְאָהya/tse/Ahas gone outסַעַרSA/ara stormמִתְגּוֹרֵרmit/go/RERsweepingעַלalonרֹאשׁroshthe head ofרְשָׁעִיםre/sha/IMthe wickedיָחוּל׃ya/CHULit will whirl

    Behold, the whirlwind of the LORD goeth forth with fury, a continuing whirlwind: it shall fall with pain upon the head of the wicked.

24. 24

    לֹאlonotיָשׁוּבya/SHUVwill turn backחֲרוֹןcha/RONthe fierceאַף־יְהֹוָהaf-Adonaithe anger of the LORDעַד־עֲשֹׂתוֹad-a/so/TOuntil He has executedוְעַד־הֲקִימוֹve/AD-ha/ki/MOand until He has performedמְזִמּוֹתme/zim/MOTthe purposes ofלִבּוֹlib/BOHis heartבְּאַחֲרִיתbe/a/cha/RITin the latter part ofהַיָּמִיםhay/ya/MIMthe daysתִּתְבּוֹנְנוּtit/BON/nuyou will understandבָהּ׃vait

    The fierce anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have done it, and until he have performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it.
