   In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah came this word unto Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,

   כֹּה־אָמַרko-a/MARthus saysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֵלַיe/LAYto meעֲשֵׂהa/SEmakeלְךָle/KHAfor yourselfמוֹסֵרוֹתmo/se/ROTbondsוּמֹטוֹתu/mo/TOTand yoke barsוּנְתַתָּםu/ne/tat/TAMand put themעַל־צַוָּארֶךָ׃al-tsav/va/RE/khaupon your neck

   Thus saith the LORD to me; Make thee bonds and yokes, and put them upon thy neck,

   And send them to the king of Edom, and to the king of Moab, and to the king of the Ammonites, and to the king of Tyrus, and to the king of Zidon, by the hand of the messengers which come to Jerusalem unto Zedekiah king of Judah;

   וְצִוִּיתָve/tsiv/vi/TAand commandאֹתָםo/TAMthemאֶל־אֲדֹנֵיהֶםel-a/do/ne/HEMfor their mastersלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingכֹּה־אָמַרko-a/MARthus saysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDצְבָאוֹתtse/va/OTof hostsאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelכֹּהkothusתֹאמְרוּto/me/RUyou shall sayאֶל־אֲדֹנֵיכֶם׃el-a/do/ne/KHEMto your masters

   And command them to say unto their masters, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Thus shall ye say unto your masters;

   אָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIעָשִׂיתִיa/SI/tihave madeאֶת־הָאָרֶץet-ha/A/retsthe earthאֶת־הָאָדָםet-ha/a/DAMmanוְאֶת־הַבְּהֵמָהve/ET-hab/be/he/MAand beastאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat areעַל־פְּנֵיal-pe/NEupon the face ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthבְּכֹחִיbe/kho/CHIby my powerהַגָּדוֹלhag/ga/DOLgreatוּבִזְרוֹעִיu/viz/ro/Iand by my armהַנְּטוּיָהhan/ne/tu/YAoutstretchedוּנְתַתִּיהָu/ne/tat/TI/haand I give itלַאֲשֶׁרla/a/SHERto whomeverיָשַׁרya/SHARit seems rightבְּעֵינָי׃be/e/NAYin my eyes

   I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are upon the ground, by my great power and by my outstretched arm, and have given it unto whom it seemed meet unto me.

   וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIנָתַתִּיna/TAT/tihave givenאֶת־כׇּל־הָאֲרָצוֹתet-kol-ha/a/ra/TSOTall the landsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseבְּיַדbe/YADinto the hand ofנְבוּכַדְנֶאצַּרNe/vu/khad/ne/TSARNebuchadnezzarמֶלֶךְ־בָּבֶלME/lekh-Ba/VELking of Babylonעַבְדִּיav/DImy servantוְגַםve/GAMand alsoאֶת־חַיַּתet-chay/YATthe beasts ofהַשָּׂדֶהhas/sa/DEthe fieldנָתַתִּיna/TAT/tiI have givenלוֹloto himלְעׇבְדוֹ׃le/ov/DOto serve him

   And now have I given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant; and the beasts of the field have I given him also to serve him.

   וְעָבְדוּve/a/ve/DUand will serveאֹתוֹo/TOhimכׇּל־הַגּוֹיִםkol-hag/go/YIMall the nationsוְאֶת־בְּנוֹve/ET-be/NOand his sonוְאֶת־בֶּן־בְּנוֹve/ET-ben-be/NOand his son's sonעַדaduntilבֹּא־עֵתbo-etthe time comes ofאַרְצוֹar/TSOhis landגַּם־הוּאgam-huit alsoוְעָבְדוּve/a/ve/DUand will make a slave ofבוֹvohimגּוֹיִםgo/YIMnationsרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyוּמְלָכִיםu/me/la/KHIMand kingsגְּדֹלִים׃ge/do/LIMgreat

   And all nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son's son, until the very time of his land come: and then many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of him.

   וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall beהַגּוֹיhag/GOYthe nationוְהַמַּמְלָכָהve/ham/mam/la/KHAand the kingdomאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatלֹא־יַעַבְדוּlo-ya/av/DUwill not serveאֹתוֹo/TOhimאֶת־נְבוּכַדְנֶאצַּרet-Ne/vu/khad/ne/TSARNebuchadnezzarמֶלֶךְ־בָּבֶלME/lekh-Ba/VELking of Babylonוְאֵתve/ETandאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatלֹא־יִתֵּןlo-yit/TENwill not putאֶת־צַוָּארוֹet-tsav/va/ROhis neckבְּעֹלbe/OLunder the yoke ofמֶלֶךְME/lekhthe king ofבָּבֶלBa/VELBabylonבַּחֶרֶבba/CHE/revby the swordוּבָרָעָבu/va/ra/AVand by famineוּבַדֶּבֶרu/vad/DE/verand by the pestilenceאֶפְקֹדef/KODwill I punishעַל־הַגּוֹיal-hag/GOYthat nationהַהוּאha/HUthatנְאֻם־יְהֹוָהne/UM-Adonaisays the LORDעַד־תֻּמִּיad-tum/MIuntil I have consumedאֹתָםo/TAMthemבְּיָדוֹ׃be/ya/DOby his hand

   And it shall come to pass, that the nation and kingdom which will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, and that will not put their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, that nation will I punish, saith the LORD, with the sword, and with the famine, and with the pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand.

   וְאַתֶּםve/at/TEMand youאַל־תִּשְׁמְעוּal-tish/me/Udo not listenאֶל־נְבִיאֵיכֶםel-ne/vi/e/KHEMto your prophetsוְאֶל־קֹסְמֵיכֶםve/EL-kos/me/KHEMand your divinersוְאֶלve/ELor toחֲלֹמֹתֵיכֶםcha/lo/mo/te/KHEMyour dreamsוְאֶל־עֹנְנֵיכֶםve/EL-on/ne/KHEMor to your soothsayersוְאֶל־כַּשָּׁפֵיכֶםve/EL-kash/sha/fe/KHEMor to your sorcerersאֲשֶׁר־הֵםa/SHER-hemwhoאֹמְרִיםom/RIMsayאֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMto youלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingלֹאlonotתַעַבְדוּta/av/DUserveאֶת־מֶלֶךְet-ME/lekhthe king ofבָּבֶל׃Ba/VELBabylon

   Therefore hearken not ye to your prophets, nor to your diviners, nor to your dreamers, nor to your enchanters, nor to your sorcerers, which speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon:

10. 10

    כִּיkiforשֶׁקֶרSHE/kera lieהֵםhemtheyנִבְּאִיםnib/be/IMprophesyלָכֶםla/KHEMto youלְמַעַןle/MA/anso asהַרְחִיקhar/CHIKto removeאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouמֵעַלme/ALfromאַדְמַתְכֶםad/mat/KHEMyour landוְהִדַּחְתִּיve/hid/dach/TIand that I should drive outאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouוַאֲבַדְתֶּם׃va/a/vad/TEMand you will perish

    For they prophesy a lie unto you, to remove you far from your land; and that I should drive you out, and ye should perish.

11. 11

    וְהַגּוֹיve/hag/GOYand the nationאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיָבִיאya/VIbringsאֶת־צַוָּארוֹet-tsav/va/ROhis neckבְּעֹלbe/OLunder the yoke ofמֶלֶךְ־בָּבֶלME/lekh-Ba/VELking of Babylonוַעֲבָדוֹva/a/va/DOand serves himוְהִנַּחְתִּיוve/hin/nach/TIVI will leave itעַל־אַדְמָתוֹal-ad/ma/TOupon his landנְאֻם־יְהֹוָהne/UM-Adonaisays the LORDוַעֲבָדָהּva/a/va/DAand it will till itוְיָשַׁבve/ya/SHAVand dwellבָּהּ׃bain it

    But the nations that bring their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him, those will I let remain still in their own land, saith the LORD; and they shall till it, and dwell therein.

12. 12

    וְאֶל־צִדְקִיָּהve/EL-tsid/kiy/YAand to Zedekiahמֶלֶךְ־יְהוּדָהME/lekh-Ye/hu/DAking of Judahדִּבַּרְתִּיdib/BAR/tiI have spokenכְּכׇל־הַדְּבָרִיםke/KHOL-had/de/va/RIMaccording to all the wordsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingהָבִיאוּha/VI/ubringאֶת־צַוְּארֵיכֶםet-tsav/ve/re/KHEMyour necksבְּעֹלbe/OLunder the yoke ofמֶלֶךְ־בָּבֶלME/lekh-Ba/VELking of Babylonוְעִבְדוּve/iv/DUand serveאֹתוֹo/TOhimוְעַמּוֹve/am/MOand his peopleוִחְיוּ׃vich/YUand live

    I spake also to Zedekiah king of Judah according to all these words, saying, Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people, and live.

    לָמָּהLAM/mawhyתָמוּתוּta/MU/tuwill you dieאַתָּהat/TAyouוְעַמֶּךָve/am/ME/khaand your peopleבַּחֶרֶבba/CHE/revby the swordבָּרָעָבba/ra/AVby the famineוּבַדָּבֶרu/vad/DA/verand by the pestilenceכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasדִּבֶּרdib/BERhas spokenיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־הַגּוֹיel-hag/GOYconcerning the nationאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatלֹא־יַעֲבֹדlo-ya/a/VODwill not serveאֶת־מֶלֶךְet-ME/lekhthe king ofבָּבֶל׃Ba/VELBabylon

    Why will ye die, thou and thy people, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, as the LORD hath spoken against the nation that will not serve the king of Babylon?

14. 14

    וְאַל־תִּשְׁמְעוּve/AL-tish/me/Uand do not listenאֶל־דִּבְרֵיel-div/REto the words ofהַנְּבִאִיםhan/ne/vi/IMthe prophetsהָאֹמְרִיםha/om/RIMwho speakאֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMto youלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingלֹאlonotתַעַבְדוּta/av/DUserveאֶת־מֶלֶךְet-ME/lekhthe king ofבָּבֶלBa/VELBabylonכִּיkiforשֶׁקֶרSHE/kera lieהֵםhemtheyנִבְּאִיםnib/be/IMprophesyלָכֶם׃la/KHEMto you

    Therefore hearken not unto the words of the prophets that speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon: for they prophesy a lie unto you.

    כִּיkiforלֹאlonotשְׁלַחְתִּיםshe/lach/TIMI sent themנְאֻם־יְהֹוָהne/UM-Adonaisays the LORDוְהֵםve/HEMyet theyנִבְּאִיםnib/be/IMprophesyבִּשְׁמִיbish/MIin my nameלַשָּׁקֶרlash/SHA/kerfalselyלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatהַדִּיחִיhad/di/CHII should drive outאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouוַאֲבַדְתֶּםva/a/vad/TEMand you will perishאַתֶּםat/TEMyouוְהַנְּבִאִיםve/han/ne/vi/IMand the prophetsהַנִּבְּאִיםhan/nib/be/IMwho prophesyלָכֶם׃la/KHEMto you

    For I have not sent them, saith the LORD, yet they prophesy a lie in my name; that I might drive you out, and that ye might perish, ye, and the prophets that prophesy unto you.

    וְאֶל־הַכֹּהֲנִיםve/EL-hak/ko/ha/NIMand to the priestsוְאֶל־כׇּל־הָעָםve/EL-kol-ha/AMand to all the peopleהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisדִּבַּרְתִּיdib/BAR/tiI have spokenלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingכֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאַל־תִּשְׁמְעוּal-tish/me/Udo not listenאֶל־דִּבְרֵיel-div/REto the words ofנְבִיאֵיכֶםne/vi/e/KHEMyour prophetsהַנִּבְּאִיםhan/nib/be/IMwho prophesyלָכֶםla/KHEMto youלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdכְלֵיkhe/LEthe vessels ofבֵית־יְהֹוָהvet-Adonaithe house of the LORDמוּשָׁבִיםmu/sha/VIMwill be brought backמִבָּבֶלָהmib/Ba/VE/lafrom Babylonעַתָּהat/TAnowמְהֵרָהme/he/RAshortlyכִּיkiforשֶׁקֶרSHE/kera lieהֵמָּהHEM/matheyנִבְּאִיםnib/be/IMprophesyלָכֶם׃la/KHEMto you

    Also I spake to the priests and to all this people, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Hearken not to the words of your prophets that prophesy unto you, saying, Behold, the vessels of the LORD's house shall now shortly be brought again from Babylon: for they prophesy a lie unto you.

    אַל־תִּשְׁמְעוּal-tish/me/Udo not listenאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themעִבְדוּiv/DUserveאֶת־מֶלֶךְ־בָּבֶלet-ME/lekh-ba/VELthe king of Babylonוִחְיוּvich/YUand liveלָמָּהLAM/mawhyתִהְיֶהtih/YEshould becomeהָעִירha/IRthe cityהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisחׇרְבָּה׃chor/BAa ruin

    Hearken not unto them; serve the king of Babylon, and live: wherefore should this city be laid waste?

18. 18

    וְאִם־נְבִאִיםve/IM-ne/vi/IMbut if prophetsהֵםhemthey areוְאִם־יֵשׁve/IM-yeshand if there isדְּבַר־יְהֹוָהde/VAR-Adonaithe word of the LORDאִתָּםit/TAMwith themיִפְגְּעוּ־נָאyif/ge/U-nalet them now intercedeבַּיהֹוָהba-Adonaiwith the LORDצְבָאוֹתtse/va/OTof hostsלְבִלְתִּי־בֹאוּle/vil/TI-VO/uthat may not goהַכֵּלִיםhak/ke/LIMthe vesselsהַנּוֹתָרִיםhan/no/ta/RIMwhich are leftבְּבֵית־יְהֹוָהbe/VET-Adonaiin the house of the LORDוּבֵיתu/VETand in the house ofמֶלֶךְME/lekhthe king ofיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahוּבִירוּשָׁלַ͏ִםu/Vi/ru/sha/LA/yimand in Jerusalemבָּבֶלָה׃ba/VE/lainto Babylon

    But if they be prophets, and if the word of the LORD be with them, let them now make intercession to the LORD of hosts, that the vessels which are left in the house of the LORD, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, go not to Babylon.

19. 19

    כִּיkiforכֹהkhothusאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDצְבָאוֹתtse/va/OTof hostsאֶל־הָעַמֻּדִיםel-ha/am/mu/DIMconcerning the pillarsוְעַל־הַיָּםve/AL-hay/YAMand concerning the seaוְעַל־הַמְּכֹנוֹתve/AL-ham/me/kho/NOTand concerning the basesוְעַלve/ALand concerningיֶתֶרYE/terthe rest ofהַכֵּלִיםhak/ke/LIMthe vesselsהַנּוֹתָרִיםhan/no/ta/RIMthat remainבָּעִירba/IRin the cityהַזֹּאת׃haz/ZOTthis

    For thus saith the LORD of hosts concerning the pillars, and concerning the sea, and concerning the bases, and concerning the residue of the vessels that remain in this city,

    אֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichלֹא־לְקָחָםlo-le/ka/CHAMdid not takeנְבוּכַדְנֶאצַּרNe/vu/khad/ne/TSARNebuchadnezzarמֶלֶךְME/lekhthe king ofבָּבֶלBa/VELBabylonבַּגְלוֹתוֹbag/lo/TOwhen he carried captiveאֶת־[יְכׇנְיָה]et-Ye/khon/YAJeconiahבֶן־יְהוֹיָקִיםven-Ye/ho/ya/KIMson of Jehoiakimמֶלֶךְ־יְהוּדָהME/lekh-Ye/hu/DAking of Judahמִירוּשָׁלַ͏ִםmI/ru/sha/LA/yimfrom Jerusalemבָּבֶלָהba/VE/lainto Babylonוְאֵתve/ETandכׇּל־חֹרֵיkol-cho/REall the nobles ofיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahוִירוּשָׁלָ͏ִם׃Vi/ru/sha/LA/yimand Jerusalem

    Which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took not, when he carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah from Jerusalem to Babylon, and all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem;

    כִּיkiforכֹהkhothusאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDצְבָאוֹתtse/va/OTof hostsאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelעַל־הַכֵּלִיםal-hak/ke/LIMconcerning the vesselsהַנּוֹתָרִיםhan/no/ta/RIMthat remainבֵּיתbetin the house ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוּבֵיתu/VETand in the house ofמֶלֶךְ־יְהוּדָהME/lekh-Ye/hu/DAking of Judahוִירוּשָׁלָ͏ִם׃Vi/ru/sha/LA/yimand Jerusalem

    Yea, thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, concerning the vessels that remain in the house of the LORD, and in the house of the king of Judah and of Jerusalem;

    בָּבֶלָהba/VE/lainto Babylonיוּבָאוּyu/VA/uthey will be carriedוְשָׁמָּהve/SHAM/maand thereיִהְיוּyih/YUthey will beעַדaduntilיוֹםyomdayפׇּקְדִיpok/DII visitאֹתָםo/TAMthemנְאֻם־יְהֹוָהne/UM-Adonaisays the LORDוְהַעֲלִיתִיםve/ha/a/li/TIMthen I will bring them upוַהֲשִׁיבֹתִיםva/ha/shi/vo/TIMand restore themאֶל־הַמָּקוֹםel-ham/ma/KOMto the placeהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

    They shall be carried to Babylon, and there shall they be until the day that I visit them, saith the LORD; then will I bring them up, and restore them to this place.
