   Thus saith the LORD, Go and get a potter's earthen bottle, and take of the ancients of the people, and of the ancients of the priests;

   וְיָצָאתָve/ya/TSA/taand go outאֶל־גֵּיאel-geinto the valley ofבֶן־הִנֹּםven-Hin/NOMthe son of Hinnomאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhich isפֶּתַחPE/tachby the entry ofשַׁעַרSHA/arthe gate of[הַחַרְסִית]Ha/char/SITHarsithוְקָרָאתָve/ka/RA/taand proclaimשָּׁםshamthereאֶת־הַדְּבָרִיםet-had/de/va/RIMthe wordsאֲשֶׁר־אֲדַבֵּרa/SHER-a/dab/BERwhich I speakאֵלֶיךָ׃e/LE/khato you

   And go forth unto the valley of the son of Hinnom, which is by the entry of the east gate, and proclaim there the words that I shall tell thee,

   וְאָמַרְתָּve/a/mar/TAand sayשִׁמְעוּshim/Uhearדְבַר־יְהֹוָהde/VAR-Adonaithe word of the LORDמַלְכֵיmal/KHEO kings ofיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahוְיֹשְׁבֵיve/yosh/VEand the inhabitants ofיְרוּשָׁלָ͏ִםYe/ru/sha/LA/yimJerusalemכֹּה־אָמַרko-a/MARthus saysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDצְבָאוֹתtse/va/OTof hostsאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelהִנְנִיhin/NIbehold Iמֵבִיאme/VIwill bringרָעָהra/Aevilעַל־הַמָּקוֹםal-ham/ma/KOMupon the placeהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichכׇּל־שֹׁמְעָהּkol-shom/Awhoever hears of itתִּצַּלְנָהtits/TSAL/nawill tingleאׇזְנָיו׃oz/NAYVhis ears

   And say, Hear ye the word of the LORD, O kings of Judah, and inhabitants of Jerusalem; Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, the which whosoever heareth, his ears shall tingle.

   יַעַןYA/anbecauseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatעֲזָבֻנִיa/za/VU/nithey have forsaken meוַיְנַכְּרוּvay/nak/ke/RUand have made foreignאֶת־הַמָּקוֹםet-ham/ma/KOMthe placeהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוַיְקַטְּרוּ־בוֹvay/kat/te/RU-voand have burned incense in itלֵאלֹהִים־אֲחֵרִיםle/lo/HIM-a/che/RIMto other godsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichלֹא־יְדָעוּםlo-ye/da/UMthey have not knownהֵמָּהHEM/matheyוַאֲבוֹתֵיהֶםva/a/vo/te/HEMnor their fathersוּמַלְכֵיu/mal/KHEand the kings ofיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahוּמָלְאוּu/ma/le/Uand have filledאֶת־הַמָּקוֹםet-ham/ma/KOMthe placeהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisדַּםdamthe blood ofנְקִיִּם׃ne/kiy/YIMinnocents

   Because they have forsaken me, and have estranged this place, and have burned incense in it unto other gods, whom neither they nor their fathers have known, nor the kings of Judah, and have filled this place with the blood of innocents;

   וּבָנוּu/va/NUand have builtאֶת־בָּמוֹתet-ba/MOTthe high places ofהַבַּעַלHab/BA/alBaalלִשְׂרֹףlis/ROFto burnאֶת־בְּנֵיהֶםet-be/ne/HEMtheir sonsבָּאֵשׁba/ESHby fireעֹלוֹתo/LOTas burnt offeringsלַבָּעַלlab/BA/alto Baalאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichלֹא־צִוִּיתִיlo-tsiv/VI/tiI did not commandוְלֹאve/LOnorדִבַּרְתִּיdib/BAR/tispeakוְלֹאve/LOnorעָלְתָהa/le/TAdid it comeעַל־לִבִּי׃al-lib/BIinto my mind

   They have built also the high places of Baal, to burn their sons with fire for burnt offerings unto Baal, which I commanded not, nor spake it, neither came it into my mind:

   לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeהִנֵּה־יָמִיםhin/NE-ya/MIMbehold the daysבָּאִיםba/IMare comingנְאֻם־יְהֹוָהne/UM-Adonaisays the LORDוְלֹא־יִקָּרֵאve/LO-yik/ka/REand will not be calledלַמָּקוֹםlam/ma/KOMthe placeהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisעוֹדodany longerהַתֹּפֶתHat/TO/fetTophetוְגֵיאve/GEand the valley ofבֶן־הִנֹּםven-Hin/NOMthe son of Hinnomכִּיkibutאִם־גֵּיאim-gethe valley ofהַהֲרֵגָה׃ha/ha/re/GAslaughter

   Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that this place shall no more be called Tophet, nor The valley of the son of Hinnom, but The valley of slaughter.

   וּבַקֹּתִיu/vak/ko/TIand I will make voidאֶת־עֲצַתet-a/TSATthe counsel ofיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahוִירוּשָׁלַ͏ִםVi/ru/sha/LA/yimand Jerusalemבַּמָּקוֹםbam/ma/KOMin the placeהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוְהִפַּלְתִּיםve/hip/pal/TIMand I will cause them to fallבַּחֶרֶבba/CHE/revwith the swordלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeאֹיְבֵיהֶםoy/ve/HEMtheir enemiesוּבְיַדu/ve/YADand by the hand ofמְבַקְשֵׁיme/vak/SHEthose who seekנַפְשָׁםnaf/SHAMtheir livesוְנָתַתִּיve/na/tat/TIand I will giveאֶת־נִבְלָתָםet-niv/la/TAMtheir carcassesלְמַאֲכָלle/ma/a/KHALas foodלְעוֹףle/OFto the birds ofהַשָּׁמַיִםhash/sha/MA/yimthe heavensוּלְבֶהֱמַתu/le/ve/he/MATand for the beasts ofהָאָרֶץ׃ha/A/retsthe earth

   And I will make void the counsel of Judah and Jerusalem in this place; and I will cause them to fall by the sword before their enemies, and by the hands of them that seek their lives: and their carcases will I give to be meat for the fowls of the heaven, and for the beasts of the earth.

   וְשַׂמְתִּיve/sam/TIand I will makeאֶת־הָעִירet-ha/IRthe cityהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisלְשַׁמָּהle/sham/MAa horrorוְלִשְׁרֵקָהve/lish/re/KAand a hissingכֹּלkoleveryoneעֹבֵרo/VERwho passesעָלֶיהָa/LE/haby itיִשֹּׁםyish/SHOMwill be appalledוְיִשְׁרֹקve/yish/ROKand hissעַל־כׇּל־מַכֹּתֶהָ׃al-kol-mak/ko/TE/habecause of all its disasters

   And I will make this city desolate, and an hissing; every one that passeth thereby shall be astonished and hiss because of all the plagues thereof.

   וְהַאֲכַלְתִּיםve/ha/a/khal/TIMand I will make them eatאֶת־בְּשַׂרet-be/SARthe flesh ofבְּנֵיהֶםbe/ne/HEMtheir sonsוְאֵתve/ETandבְּשַׂרbe/SARthe flesh ofבְּנֹתֵיהֶםbe/no/te/HEMtheir daughtersוְאִישׁve/ISHand eachבְּשַׂר־רֵעֵהוּbe/SAR-re/E/huthe flesh of his friendיֹאכֵלוּyo/KHE/luwill eatבְּמָצוֹרbe/ma/TSORin the siegeוּבְמָצוֹקu/ve/ma/TSOKand in the distressאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwith whichיָצִיקוּya/TSI/kuwill distressלָהֶםla/HEMthemאֹיְבֵיהֶםoy/ve/HEMtheir enemiesוּמְבַקְשֵׁיu/me/vak/SHEand those who seekנַפְשָׁם׃naf/SHAMtheir lives

   And I will cause them to eat the flesh of their sons and the flesh of their daughters, and they shall eat every one the flesh of his friend in the siege and straitness, wherewith their enemies, and they that seek their lives, shall straiten them.

    וְשָׁבַרְתָּve/sha/var/TAand you will breakהַבַּקְבֻּקhab/bak/BUKthe jarלְעֵינֵיle/e/NEin the sight ofהָאֲנָשִׁיםha/a/na/SHIMthe menהַהֹלְכִיםha/hol/KHIMwho goאוֹתָךְ׃o/TAKHwith you

    Then shalt thou break the bottle in the sight of the men that go with thee,

    וְאָמַרְתָּve/a/mar/TAand sayאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themכֹּה־אָמַרko-a/MARthus saysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDצְבָאוֹתtse/va/OTof hostsכָּכָהKA/khasoאֶשְׁבֹּרesh/BORI will breakאֶת־הָעָםet-ha/AMthe peopleהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוְאֶת־הָעִירve/ET-ha/IRand the cityהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasיִשְׁבֹּרyish/BORone breaksאֶת־כְּלִיet-ke/LIa vessel ofהַיּוֹצֵרhay/yo/TSERthe potterאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichלֹא־יוּכַלlo-yu/KHALcannotלְהֵרָפֵהle/he/ra/FEbe mendedעוֹדodagainוּבְתֹפֶתu/ve/TO/fetand in Tophetיִקְבְּרוּyik/be/RUthey will buryמֵאֵיןme/ENuntil there is noמָקוֹםma/KOMroomלִקְבּוֹר׃lik/BORto bury

    And shalt say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Even so will I break this people and this city, as one breaketh a potter's vessel, that cannot be made whole again: and they shall bury them in Tophet, till there be no place to bury.

    כֵּן־אֶעֱשֶׂהken-e/e/SEso I will doלַמָּקוֹםlam/ma/KOMto the placeהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisנְאֻם־יְהֹוָהne/UM-Adonaisays the LORDוּלְיוֹשְׁבָיוu/le/yosh/VAYVand to its inhabitantsוְלָתֵתve/la/TETeven makingאֶת־הָעִירet-ha/IRthe cityהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisכְּתֹפֶת׃ke/TO/fetlike Tophet

    Thus will I do unto this place, saith the LORD, and to the inhabitants thereof, and even make this city as Tophet:

13. 13

    וְהָיוּve/ha/YUand will beבָּתֵּיbat/TEthe houses ofיְרוּשָׁלַ͏ִםYe/ru/sha/LA/yimJerusalemוּבָתֵּיu/vat/TEand the houses ofמַלְכֵיmal/KHEthe kings ofיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahכִּמְקוֹםkim/KOMlike the place ofהַתֹּפֶתHat/TO/fetTophetהַטְּמֵאִיםhat/te/me/IMdefiledלְכֹלle/KHOLeven allהַבָּתִּיםhab/bat/TIMthe housesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERon whoseקִטְּרוּkit/te/RUthey burned incenseעַל־גַּגֹּתֵיהֶםal-gag/go/te/HEMupon their roofsלְכֹלle/KHOLto allצְבָאtse/VAthe host ofהַשָּׁמַיִםhash/sha/MA/yimthe heavensוְהַסֵּךְve/has/SEKHand poured outנְסָכִיםne/sa/KHIMdrink offeringsלֵאלֹהִים־אֲחֵרִים׃le/lo/HIM-a/che/RIMto other gods

    And the houses of Jerusalem, and the houses of the kings of Judah, shall be defiled as the place of Tophet, because of all the houses upon whose roofs they have burned incense unto all the host of heaven, and have poured out drink offerings unto other gods.

    וַיָּבֹאvay/ya/VOthen cameיִרְמְיָהוּYir/me/YA/huJeremiahמֵהַתֹּפֶתme/Hat/TO/fetfrom Tophetאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhereשְׁלָחוֹshe/la/CHOhad sent himיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDשָׁםshamthereלְהִנָּבֵאle/hin/na/VEto prophesyוַיַּעֲמֹדvay/ya/a/MODand he stoodבַּחֲצַרba/cha/TSARin the court ofבֵּית־יְהֹוָהbet-Adonaithe house of the LORDוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֶל־כׇּל־הָעָם׃el-kol-ha/AMto all the people

    Then came Jeremiah from Tophet, whither the LORD had sent him to prophesy; and he stood in the court of the LORD's house; and said to all the people,

    כֹּה־אָמַרko-a/MARthus saysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDצְבָאוֹתtse/va/OTof hostsאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelהִנְנִיhin/NIbehold Iמֵבִיme/VIwill bringאֶל־הָעִירel-ha/IRto the cityהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisוְעַל־כׇּל־עָרֶיהָve/AL-kol-a/RE/haand on all her townsאֵת־כׇּל־הָרָעָהet-kol-ha/ra/Aall the evilאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichדִּבַּרְתִּיdib/BAR/tiI have pronouncedעָלֶיהָa/LE/haagainst itכִּיkibecauseהִקְשׁוּhik/SHUthey have stiffenedאֶת־עׇרְפָּםet-or/PAMtheir necksלְבִלְתִּיle/vil/TIso as notשְׁמוֹעַshe/MO/ato hearאֶת־דְּבָרָי׃et-de/va/RAYmy words

    Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon this city and upon all her towns all the evil that I have pronounced against it, because they have hardened their necks, that they might not hear my words.
