   Then said the LORD unto me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind could not be toward this people: cast them out of my sight, and let them go forth.

   וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall beכִּי־יֹאמְרוּki-yo/me/RUwhen they sayאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khato youאָנָהA/nawhereנֵצֵאne/TSEshall we goוְאָמַרְתָּve/a/mar/TAand sayאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themכֹּה־אָמַרko-a/MARthus saysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthose who areלַמָּוֶתlam/MA/vetfor deathלַמָּוֶתlam/MA/vetfor deathוַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand those who areלַחֶרֶבla/CHE/revto the swordלַחֶרֶבla/CHE/revto the swordוַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand those who areלָרָעָבla/ra/AVfor famineלָרָעָבla/ra/AVfor famineוַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand those who areלַשְּׁבִיlash/she/VIfor captivityלַשֶּׁבִי׃lash/SHE/vifor captivity

   And it shall come to pass, if they say unto thee, Whither shall we go forth? then thou shalt tell them, Thus saith the LORD; Such as are for death, to death; and such as are for the sword, to the sword; and such as are for the famine, to the famine; and such as are for the captivity, to the captivity.

   וּפָקַדְתִּיu/fa/kad/TIand I will appointעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMover themאַרְבַּעar/BAfourמִשְׁפָּחוֹתmish/pa/CHOTkindsנְאֻם־יְהֹוָהne/UM-Adonaisays the LORDאֶת־הַחֶרֶבet-ha/CHE/revthe swordלַהֲרֹגla/ha/ROGto slayוְאֶת־הַכְּלָבִיםve/ET-hak/ke/la/VIMand the dogsלִסְחֹבlis/CHOVto drag awayוְאֶת־עוֹףve/ET-ofand the birds ofהַשָּׁמַיִםhash/sha/MA/yimthe heavensוְאֶת־בֶּהֱמַתve/ET-be/he/MATand the beasts ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthלֶאֱכֹלle/e/KHOLto devourוּלְהַשְׁחִית׃u/le/hash/CHITand destroy

   And I will appoint over them four kinds, saith the LORD: the sword to slay, and the dogs to tear, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the earth, to devour and destroy.

   וּנְתַתִּיםu/ne/tat/TIMand I will give them(לזועה)lazavh[לְזַעֲוָה]le/za/a/VAa horrorלְכֹלle/KHOLto allמַמְלְכוֹתmam/le/KHOTthe kingdoms ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthבִּגְלַלbig/LALbecause ofמְנַשֶּׁהMe/nash/SHEManassehבֶן־יְחִזְקִיָּהוּven-Ye/chiz/kiy/YA/huson of HezekiahמֶלֶךְME/lekhthe king ofיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahעַלalforאֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂהa/SHER-a/SAwhat he didבִּירוּשָׁלָ͏ִם׃bI/ru/sha/LA/yimin Jerusalem

   And I will cause them to be removed into all kingdoms of the earth, because of Manasseh the son of Hezekiah king of Judah, for that which he did in Jerusalem.

   כִּיkiforמִי־יַחְמֹלmi-yach/MOLwho shall have pityעָלַיִךְa/LA/yikhon youיְרוּשָׁלַ͏ִםYe/ru/sha/LA/yimO Jerusalemוּמִיu/MIand whoיָנוּדya/NUDwill grieveלָךְlakhfor youוּמִיu/MIand whoיָסוּרya/SURwill turn asideלִשְׁאֹלlish/OLto askלְשָׁלֹםle/sha/LOMabout the welfareלָךְ׃lakhof you

   For who shall have pity upon thee, O Jerusalem? or who shall bemoan thee? or who shall go aside to ask how thou doest?

6. 6

   אַתְּattyouנָטַשְׁתְּna/TASHTyou have forsakenאֹתִיo/TImeנְאֻם־יְהֹוָהne/UM-Adonaisays the LORDאָחוֹרa/CHORbackwardתֵּלֵכִיte/LE/khiyou goוָאַטva/ATso I will stretch outאֶת־יָדִיet-ya/DImy handעָלַיִךְa/LA/yikhagainst youוָאַשְׁחִיתֵךְva/ash/chi/TEKHand destroy youנִלְאֵיתִיnil/E/tiI am weary ofהִנָּחֵם׃hin/na/CHEMrelenting

   Thou hast forsaken me, saith the LORD, thou art gone backward: therefore will I stretch out my hand against thee, and destroy thee; I am weary with repenting.

7. 7

   וָאֶזְרֵםva/ez/REMand I have winnowed themבְּמִזְרֶהbe/miz/REwith a winnowing forkבְּשַׁעֲרֵיbe/sha/a/REin the gates ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe landשִׁכַּלְתִּיshik/KAL/tiI have bereaved themאִבַּדְתִּיib/BAD/tiI have destroyedאֶת־עַמִּיet-am/MImy peopleמִדַּרְכֵיהֶםmid/dar/khe/HEMfrom their waysלוֹא־שָׁבוּ׃lo-SHA/vuthey did not turn

   And I will fan them with a fan in the gates of the land; I will bereave them of children, I will destroy my people, since they return not from their ways.

   עָצְמוּ־לִיa/tse/MU-liare more to meאַלְמְנוֹתָוal/me/no/TAVtheir widowsמֵחוֹלme/CHOLmore than the sand ofיַמִּיםyam/MIMthe seasהֵבֵאתִיhe/VE/tiI have broughtלָהֶםla/HEMon themעַל־אֵםal-emagainst the mother ofבָּחוּרba/CHURthe young menשֹׁדֵדsho/DEDa destroyerבַּצׇּהֳרָיִםbats/tso/ho/RA/yimat noondayהִפַּלְתִּיhip/PAL/tiI have caused to fallעָלֶיהָa/LE/haon herפִּתְאֹםpit/OMsuddenlyעִירirtumultוּבֶהָלוֹת׃u/ve/ha/LOTand terrors

   Their widows are increased to me above the sand of the seas: I have brought upon them against the mother of the young men a spoiler at noonday: I have caused him to fall upon it suddenly, and terrors upon the city.

   אֻמְלְלָהum/le/LAlanguishesיֹלֶדֶתyo/LE/detshe who has borneהַשִּׁבְעָהhash/shiv/Asevenנָפְחָהna/fe/CHAshe has breathed outנַפְשָׁהּnaf/SHAher soul(באה)vh[בָּא]bahas gone downשִׁמְשָׁהּshim/SHAher sunבְּעֹדbe/ODwhile it was stillיוֹמָםyo/MAMdayבּוֹשָׁהBO/shashe is ashamedוְחָפֵרָהve/cha/FE/raand disgracedוּשְׁאֵרִיתָםu/she/e/ri/TAMand their remnantלַחֶרֶבla/CHE/revto the swordאֶתֵּןet/TENI will deliverלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeאֹיְבֵיהֶםoy/ve/HEMtheir enemiesנְאֻם־יְהֹוָה׃ne/UM-Adonaisays the LORD

   She that hath borne seven languisheth: she hath given up the ghost; her sun is gone down while it was yet day: she hath been ashamed and confounded: and the residue of them will I deliver to the sword before their enemies, saith the LORD.

    אוֹי־לִיoy-liwoe is meאִמִּיim/MImy motherכִּיkithatיְלִדְתִּנִיye/lid/TI/niyou have borne meאִישׁisha man ofרִיבrivstrifeוְאִישׁve/ISHand a man ofמָדוֹןma/DONcontentionלְכׇל־הָאָרֶץle/KHOL-ha/A/retsto the whole earthלֹא־נָשִׁיתִיlo-na/SHI/tiI have not lentוְלֹא־נָשׁוּ־בִיve/LO-na/SHU-vinor have men lent to meכֻּלֹּהkul/LOeveryoneמְקַלְלַוְנִי׃me/kal/lav/NIcurses me

    Woe is me, my mother, that thou hast borne me a man of strife and a man of contention to the whole earth! I have neither lent on usury, nor men have lent to me on usury; yet every one of them doth curse me.

11. 11

    אָמַרa/MARsaidיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאִם־לֹאim-loif not[שֵׁרִיתִיךָ]she/ri/TI/khaI will release youלְטוֹבle/TOVfor goodאִם־לוֹאim-losurelyהִפְגַּעְתִּיhif/GA/tiI will cause to entreatבְךָve/KHAyouבְּעֵתbe/ETin the time ofרָעָהra/Aevilוּבְעֵתu/ve/ETand in the time ofצָרָהtsa/RAtroubleאֶת־הָאֹיֵב׃et-ha/o/YEVthe enemy

    The LORD said, Verily it shall be well with thy remnant; verily I will cause the enemy to entreat thee well in the time of evil and in the time of affliction.

12. 12

    הֲיָרֹעַha/ya/RO/acan breakבַּרְזֶלbar/ZELironבַּרְזֶלbar/ZELironמִצָּפוֹןmits/tsa/FONfrom the northוּנְחֹשֶׁת׃u/ne/CHO/shetand bronze

    Shall iron break the northern iron and the steel?

13. 13

    חֵילְךָche/le/KHAyour wealthוְאוֹצְרוֹתֶיךָve/ots/ro/TE/khaand your treasuresלָבַזla/VAZas plunderאֶתֵּןet/TENI will giveלֹאlowithoutבִמְחִירvim/CHIRpriceוּבְכׇל־חַטֹּאותֶיךָu/ve/KHOL-chat/to/TE/khafor all your sinsוּבְכׇל־גְּבוּלֶיךָ׃u/ve/KHOL-ge/vu/LE/khathroughout all your territory

    Thy substance and thy treasures will I give to the spoil without price, and that for all thy sins, even in all thy borders.

14. 14

    וְהַעֲבַרְתִּיve/ha/a/var/TIand I will make you passאֶת־אֹיְבֶיךָet-oy/VE/khawith your enemiesבְּאֶרֶץbe/E/retsinto a landלֹאlonotיָדָעְתָּya/DA/tayou knowכִּי־אֵשׁki-eshfor a fireקָדְחָהka/de/CHAis kindledבְאַפִּיve/ap/PIin my angerעֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMagainst youתּוּקָד׃tu/KADit will burn

    And I will make thee to pass with thine enemies into a land which thou knowest not: for a fire is kindled in mine anger, which shall burn upon you.

15. 15

    אַתָּהat/TAYouיָדַעְתָּya/DA/taYou knowיְהֹוָהAdonaiO LORDזׇכְרֵנִיzokh/RE/niremember meוּפׇקְדֵנִיu/fok/de/NIand visit meוְהִנָּקֶםve/hin/NA/kemand avengeלִיlimeמֵרֹדְפַיme/rod/FAYof my persecutorsאַל־לְאֶרֶךְal-le/E/rekhnot in the slowness ofאַפְּךָap/pe/KHAYour angerתִּקָּחֵנִיtik/ka/CHE/nitake me awayדַּעdaknowשְׂאֵתִיse/e/TII bearעָלֶיךָa/LE/khafor Your sakeחֶרְפָּה׃cher/PAreproach

    O LORD, thou knowest: remember me, and visit me, and revenge me of my persecutors; take me not away in thy longsuffering: know that for thy sake I have suffered rebuke.

16. 16

    נִמְצְאוּnim/tse/Uwere foundדְבָרֶיךָde/va/RE/khaYour wordsוָאֹכְלֵםva/okh/LEMand I ate themוַיְהִיvay/HIand was(דבריך)davarayakh[דְבָרְךָ]de/va/re/KHAYour wordלִיlito meלְשָׂשׂוֹןle/sa/SONa joyוּלְשִׂמְחַתu/le/sim/CHATand rejoicing ofלְבָבִיle/va/VImy heartכִּי־נִקְרָאki-nik/RAfor is calledשִׁמְךָshim/KHAYour nameעָלַיa/LAYupon meיְהֹוָהAdonaiO LORDאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEGodצְבָאוֹת׃tse/va/OTof hosts

    Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.

17. 17

    לֹא־יָשַׁבְתִּיlo-ya/SHAV/tiI did not sitבְסוֹד־מְשַׂחֲקִיםve/SOD-me/sa/cha/KIMin the assembly of the merrymakersוָאֶעְלֹזva/e/LOZand rejoiceמִפְּנֵיmip/pe/NEbecause ofיָדְךָya/de/KHAYour handבָּדָדba/DADaloneיָשַׁבְתִּיya/SHAV/tiI satכִּי־זַעַםki-ZA/amfor with indignationמִלֵּאתָנִי׃mil/le/TA/niYou have filled me

    I sat not in the assembly of the mockers, nor rejoiced; I sat alone because of thy hand: for thou hast filled me with indignation.

18. 18

    לָמָּהLAM/mawhyהָיָהha/YAisכְאֵבִיkhe/e/VImy painנֶצַחNE/tsachperpetualוּמַכָּתִיu/mak/ka/TIand my woundאֲנוּשָׁהa/nu/SHAincurableמֵאֲנָהme/a/NAwhich refusesהֵרָפֵאhe/ra/FEto be healedהָיוֹha/YObeתִהְיֶהtih/YEwill You beלִיlito meכְּמוֹke/MOlikeאַכְזָבakh/ZAVa deceitful brookמַיִםMA/yimwatersלֹאlonotנֶאֱמָנוּ׃ne/e/MA/nuare reliable

    Why is my pain perpetual, and my wound incurable, which refuseth to be healed? wilt thou be altogether unto me as a liar, and as waters that fail?

19. 19

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeכֹּה־אָמַרko-a/MARthus saysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאִם־תָּשׁוּבim-ta/SHUVif you returnוַאֲשִׁיבְךָva/a/shi/ve/KHAthen I will bring you backלְפָנַיle/fa/NAYbefore meתַּעֲמֹדta/a/MODand you will standוְאִם־תּוֹצִיאve/IM-to/TSIand if you bring outיָקָרya/KARthe preciousמִזּוֹלֵלmiz/zo/LELfrom the vileכְּפִיke/FIas my mouthתִהְיֶהtih/YEyou will beיָשֻׁבוּya/SHU/vuthey will returnהֵמָּהHEM/matheyאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khato youוְאַתָּהve/at/TAand youלֹא־תָשׁוּבlo-ta/SHUVyou will not returnאֲלֵיהֶם׃a/le/HEMto them

    Therefore thus saith the LORD, If thou return, then will I bring thee again, and thou shalt stand before me: and if thou take forth the precious from the vile, thou shalt be as my mouth: let them return unto thee; but return not thou unto them.

20. 20

    וּנְתַתִּיךָu/ne/tat/TI/khaand I will make youלָעָםla/AMto the peopleהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisלְחוֹמַתle/cho/MATa wall ofנְחֹשֶׁתne/CHO/shetbronzeבְּצוּרָהbe/tsu/RAfortifiedוְנִלְחֲמוּve/nil/cha/MUand they will fightאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khaagainst youוְלֹא־יוּכְלוּve/LO-YUKH/lubut they will not prevailלָךְlakhagainst youכִּי־אִתְּךָki-it/te/KHAfor with youאֲנִיa/NIam Iלְהוֹשִׁיעֲךָle/ho/shi/a/KHAto save youוּלְהַצִּילֶךָu/le/hats/tsi/LE/khaand to deliver youנְאֻם־יְהֹוָה׃ne/UM-Adonaisays the LORD

    And I will make thee unto this people a fenced brasen wall: and they shall fight against thee, but they shall not prevail against thee: for I am with thee to save thee and to deliver thee, saith the LORD.

21. 21

    וְהִצַּלְתִּיךָve/hits/tsal/TI/khaand I will deliver youמִיַּדmiy/YADfrom the hand ofרָעִיםra/IMthe evilוּפְדִתִיךָu/fe/di/TI/khaand I will redeem youמִכַּףmik/KAFout of the hand ofעָרִצִים׃a/ri/TSIMthe ruthless

    And I will deliver thee out of the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem thee out of the hand of the terrible.
