   בַּיָּמִיםin-the-daysהָהֵםthoseחָלָהfell-sickחִזְקִיָּהוּHezekiahלָמוּתto-dieוַיָּבוֹאand-he-cameאֵלָיוto-himיְשַׁעְיָהוּIsaiahבֶן־אָמוֹץson-of-Amozהַנָּבִיאthe-prophetוַיֹּאמֶרand-saidאֵלָיוto-himכֹּה־אָמַרthus-saysיְהֹוָהthe-LORDצַוset-in-orderלְבֵיתֶךָto-your-houseכִּיforמֵתshall-dieאַתָּהyouוְלֹאand-notתִחְיֶה׃live

   In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came unto him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live.

   וַיַּסֵּבturnedחִזְקִיָּהוּHezekiahפָּנָיוhis-faceאֶל־הַקִּירtoward-the-wallוַיִּתְפַּלֵּלand-he-prayedאֶל־יְהֹוָה׃to-the-LORD

   Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed unto the LORD,

   וַיֹּאמַרand-saidאָנָּהI-beseech-Youיְהֹוָהthe-LORDזְכׇר־נָאremember-nowאֵת־אֲשֶׁרhowהִתְהַלַּכְתִּיI-have-walkedלְפָנֶיךָbefore-Youבֶּאֱמֶתin-truthוּבְלֵבand-with-a-heartשָׁלֵםperfectוְהַטּוֹבand-that-which-is-goodבְּעֵינֶיךָin-Your-sightעָשִׂיתִיhave-I-doneוַיֵּבְךְּand-weptחִזְקִיָּהוּHezekiahבְּכִיweepingגָדוֹל׃great

   And said, Remember now, O LORD, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.

   וַיְהִיand-it-came-to-passדְּבַר־יְהֹוָהthe-word-of-the-LORDאֶל־יְשַׁעְיָהוּunto-Isaiahלֵאמֹר׃saying

   Then came the word of the LORD to Isaiah, saying,

   הָלוֹךְgoוְאָמַרְתָּand-sayאֶל־חִזְקִיָּהוּto-Hezekiahכֹּה־אָמַרthus-saysיְהֹוָהthe-LORDאֱלֹהֵיthe-God-ofדָּוִדDavidאָבִיךָyour-fatherשָׁמַעְתִּיI-have-heardאֶת־תְּפִלָּתֶךָyour-prayerרָאִיתִיI-have-seenאֶת־דִּמְעָתֶךָyour-tearsהִנְנִיbehold-IיוֹסִףI-will-addעַל־יָמֶיךָto-your-daysחֲמֵשׁ־עֶשְׂרֵהfifteenשָׁנָה׃years

   Go, and say to Hezekiah, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years.

   וּמִכַּףand-out-of-the-hand-ofמֶלֶךְ־אַשּׁוּרthe-king-of-AssyriaאַצִּילְךָI-will-deliver-youוְאֵתandהָעִירthe-cityהַזֹּאתthisוְגַנּוֹתִיand-I-will-defendעַל־הָעִירthe-cityהַזֹּאת׃this

   And I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria: and I will defend this city.

   וְזֶה־לְּךָand-this-shall-be-to-youהָאוֹתa-signמֵאֵתfromיְהֹוָהthe-LORDאֲשֶׁרwhichיַעֲשֶׂהwill-doיְהֹוָהthe-LORDאֶת־הַדָּבָרthe-thingהַזֶּהthisאֲשֶׁרwhichדִּבֵּר׃he-has-spoken

   And this shall be a sign unto thee from the LORD, that the LORD will do this thing that he hath spoken;

   הִנְנִיbehold-Iמֵשִׁיבwill-turn-backאֶת־צֵלthe-shadow-ofהַמַּעֲלוֹתthe-dialאֲשֶׁרwhichיָרְדָהis-gone-downבְמַעֲלוֹתin-the-sun-dial-ofאָחָזAhazבַּשֶּׁמֶשׁby-the-sunאֲחֹרַנִּיתbackwardעֶשֶׂרtenמַעֲלוֹתstepsוַתָּשׇׁבso-returnedהַשֶּׁמֶשׁthe-sunעֶשֶׂרtenמַעֲלוֹתstepsבַּמַּעֲלוֹתon-the-dialאֲשֶׁרwhichיָרָדָה׃it-had-gone-down

   Behold, I will bring again the shadow of the degrees, which is gone down in the sun dial of Ahaz, ten degrees backward. So the sun returned ten degrees, by which degrees it was gone down.

   מִכְתָּבthe-writing-ofלְחִזְקִיָּהוּof-Hezekiahמֶלֶךְ־יְהוּדָהking-of-Judahבַּחֲלֹתוֹwhen-he-had-been-sickוַיְחִיand-was-recoveredמֵחׇלְיוֹ׃of-his-sickness

   The writing of Hezekiah king of Judah, when he had been sick, and was recovered of his sickness:

    אֲנִיIאָמַרְתִּיI-saidבִּדְמִיin-the-noontide-ofיָמַיmy-daysאֵלֵכָהI-shall-goבְּשַׁעֲרֵיto-the-gates-ofשְׁאוֹלSheolפֻּקַּדְתִּיI-am-deprived-ofיֶתֶרthe-residue-ofשְׁנוֹתָי׃my-years

    I said in the cutting off of my days, I shall go to the gates of the grave: I am deprived of the residue of my years.

11. 11

    אָמַרְתִּיI-saidלֹא־אֶרְאֶהnot-I-shall-seeיָהּthe-LORDיָהּthe-LORDבְּאֶרֶץin-the-land-ofהַחַיִּיםthe-livingלֹא־אַבִּיטI-shall-behold-notאָדָםmanעוֹדany-moreעִם־יוֹשְׁבֵיwith-the-inhabitants-ofחָדֶל׃the-world

    I said, I shall not see the LORD, even the LORD, in the land of the living: I shall behold man no more with the inhabitants of the world.

    דּוֹרִיmy-dwellingנִסַּעis-plucked-upוְנִגְלָהand-is-removedמִנִּיfrom-meכְּאֹהֶלlike-a-tent-ofרֹעִיa-shepherdקִפַּדְתִּיI-have-rolled-upכָאֹרֵגlike-a-weaverחַיַּיmy-lifeמִדַּלָּהfrom-the-loomיְבַצְּעֵנִיhe-will-cut-me-offמִיּוֹםfrom-the-dayעַד־לַיְלָהuntil-nightתַּשְׁלִימֵנִי׃You-do-make-an-end-of-me

    Mine age is departed, and is removed from me as a shepherd's tent: I have cut off like a weaver my life: he will cut me off with pining sickness: from day even to night wilt thou make an end of me.

    שִׁוִּיתִיI-waitעַד־בֹּקֶרfor-morningכָּאֲרִיas-a-lionכֵּןthusיְשַׁבֵּרhe-breaksכׇּל־עַצְמוֹתָיall-my-bonesמִיּוֹםfrom-the-dayעַד־לַיְלָהuntil-nightתַּשְׁלִימֵנִי׃do-You-make-an-end-of-me

    I reckoned till morning, that, as a lion, so will he break all my bones: from day even to night wilt thou make an end of me.

14. 14

    כְּסוּסlike-a-swiftעָגוּרor-a-craneכֵּןthusאֲצַפְצֵףdo-I-chirpאֶהְגֶּהI-moanכַּיּוֹנָהlike-a-doveדַּלּוּfailעֵינַיmy-eyesלַמָּרוֹםwith-looking-upwardsאֲדֹנָיLordעָשְׁקָה־לִּיI-am-oppressedעׇרְבֵנִי׃be-You-my-security

    Like a crane or a swallow, so did I chatter: I did mourn as a dove: mine eyes fail with looking upward: O LORD, I am oppressed; undertake for me.

15. 15

    מָה־אֲדַבֵּרwhat-shall-I-sayוְאָמַר־לִיhe-has-both-spoken-to-meוְהוּאand-himselfעָשָׂהhas-done-itאֶדַּדֶּהI-shall-walk-softlyכׇל־שְׁנוֹתַיall-my-yearsעַל־מַרfor-the-bitterness-ofנַפְשִׁי׃my-life

    What shall I say? he hath both spoken unto me, and himself hath done it: I shall go softly all my years in the bitterness of my soul.

16. 16

    אֲדֹנָיLordעֲלֵיהֶםwith-these-thingsיִחְיוּmen-liveוּלְכׇל־בָּהֶןand-in-all-these-isחַיֵּיthe-life-ofרוּחִיmy-spiritוְתַחֲלִימֵנִיwherefore-restore-meוְהַחֲיֵנִי׃and-make-me-live

    O Lord, by these things men live, and in all these things is the life of my spirit: so wilt thou recover me, and make me to live.

17. 17

    הִנֵּהbeholdלְשָׁלוֹםfor-in-peaceמַר־לִיI-had-bitternessמָרgreatוְאַתָּהand-youחָשַׁקְתָּYou-have-in-love-toנַפְשִׁיmy-soul-delivered-itמִשַּׁחַתfrom-the-pitבְּלִיof-destructionכִּיbecauseהִשְׁלַכְתָּyou-have-castאַחֲרֵיafterגֵוְךָYour-backכׇּל־חֲטָאָי׃all-my-sins

    Behold, for peace I had great bitterness: but thou hast in love to my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption: for thou hast cast all my sins behind thy back.

18. 18

    כִּיbecauseלֹאnotשְׁאוֹלSheolתּוֹדֶךָּpraise-Youמָוֶתdeathיְהַלְלֶךָּcannot-celebrate-Youלֹא־יְשַׂבְּרוּcannot-hope-forיוֹרְדֵי־בוֹרthey-that-go-down-into-the-pitאֶל־אֲמִתֶּךָ׃Your-truth

    For the grave cannot praise thee, death can not celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth.

19. 19

    חַיthe-livingחַיthe-livingהוּאheיוֹדֶךָhe-shall-praise-Youכָּמוֹנִיas-I-doהַיּוֹםthis-dayאָבthe-fatherלְבָנִיםto-the-childrenיוֹדִיעַshall-make-knownאֶל־אֲמִתֶּךָ׃Your-truth

    The living, the living, he shall praise thee, as I do this day: the father to the children shall make known thy truth.

20. 20

    יְהֹוָהthe-LORDלְהוֹשִׁיעֵנִיwas-ready-to-save-meוּנְגִנוֹתַיtherefore-my-songsנְנַגֵּןwe-will-sing-to-the-stringed-instrumentsכׇּל־יְמֵיall-days-ofחַיֵּינוּour-lifeעַל־בֵּיתin-the-house-ofיְהֹוָה׃the-LORD

    The LORD was ready to save me: therefore we will sing my songs to the stringed instruments all the days of our life in the house of the LORD.

21. 21

    וַיֹּאמֶרfor-had-saidיְשַׁעְיָהוּIsaiahיִשְׂאוּlet-them-takeדְּבֶלֶתa-cake-ofתְּאֵנִיםfigsוְיִמְרְחוּand-lay-it-for-a-plasterעַל־הַשְּׁחִיןupon-the-festering-placeוְיֶחִי׃and-he-shall-recover

    For Isaiah had said, Let them take a lump of figs, and lay it for a plaister upon the boil, and he shall recover.

22. 22

    וַיֹּאמֶרalso-had-saidחִזְקִיָּהוּHezekiahמָהwhat-isאוֹתthe-signכִּיthatאֶעֱלֶהI-shall-go-up-toבֵּיתthe-house-ofיְהֹוָה׃the-LORD

    Hezekiah also had said, What is the sign that I shall go up to the house of the LORD?
