Isaiah 2 יְשַׁעְיָהוּ פרק ב׳

1. 1

   הַדָּבָרthe-word-thatאֲשֶׁרwhichחָזָהsawיְשַׁעְיָהוּIsaiahבֶּן־אָמוֹץson-of-Amozעַל־יְהוּדָהconcerning-Judahוִירוּשָׁלָ͏ִם׃and-Jerusalem

   The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.

2. 2

   וְהָיָהand-it-shall-come-to-passבְּאַחֲרִיתin-the-lastהַיָּמִיםthe-daysנָכוֹןestablishedיִהְיֶהshall-beהַרthe-mountain-ofבֵּית־יְהֹוָהthe-house-of-the-LORDבְּרֹאשׁin-the-top-ofהֶהָרִיםthe-mountainsוְנִשָּׂאand-shall-be-exaltedמִגְּבָעוֹתabove-the-hillsוְנָהֲרוּand-shall-flowאֵלָיוto-itכׇּל־הַגּוֹיִם׃all-the-nations

   And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD's house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.

   וְהָלְכוּand-shall-goעַמִּיםpeoplesרַבִּיםmanyוְאָמְרוּand-sayלְכוּcomeוְנַעֲלֶהand-let-us-go-upאֶל־הַר־יְהֹוָהto-the-mountain-of-the-LORDאֶל־בֵּיתto-the-house-ofאֱלֹהֵיthe-God-ofיַעֲקֹבJacobוְיֹרֵנוּand-He-will-teach-usמִדְּרָכָיוof-His-waysוְנֵלְכָהand-we-will-walkבְּאֹרְחֹתָיוin-His-pathsכִּיforמִצִּיּוֹןout-of-Zionתֵּצֵאshall-go-forthתוֹרָהthe-Lawוּדְבַר־יְהֹוָהand-the-word-of-the-LORDמִירוּשָׁלָ͏ִם׃from-Jerusalem

   And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

   וְשָׁפַטand-He-shall-judgeבֵּיןamongהַגּוֹיִםthe-nationsוְהוֹכִיחַand-shall-decideלְעַמִּיםamong-peoplesרַבִּיםmanyוְכִתְּתוּand-they-shall-beatחַרְבוֹתָםtheir-swordsלְאִתִּיםinto-plowsharesוַחֲנִיתוֹתֵיהֶםand-their-spearsלְמַזְמֵרוֹתinto-pruning-hooksלֹא־יִשָּׂאshall-not-lift-upגוֹיnationאֶל־גּוֹיagainst-nationחֶרֶבswordוְלֹא־יִלְמְדוּneither-shall-they-learnעוֹדany-moreמִלְחָמָה׃war

   And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

   בֵּיתthe-house-ofיַעֲקֹבJacobלְכוּcomeוְנֵלְכָהand-let-us-walkבְּאוֹרin-the-light-ofיְהֹוָה׃the-LORD

   O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the LORD.

6. 6

   כִּיbecauseנָטַשְׁתָּהyou-have-abandonedעַמְּךָyour-peopleבֵּיתthe-house-ofיַעֲקֹבJacobכִּיbecauseמָלְאוּthey-are-replenishedמִקֶּדֶםfrom-the-eastוְעֹנְנִיםand-are-soothsayersכַּפְּלִשְׁתִּיםlike-the-Philistinesוּבְיַלְדֵיand-in-the-children-ofנׇכְרִיםstrangersיַשְׂפִּיקוּ׃they-please-themselves

   Therefore thou hast forsaken thy people the house of Jacob, because they be replenished from the east, and are soothsayers like the Philistines, and they please themselves in the children of strangers.

7. 7

   וַתִּמָּלֵאand-was-filledאַרְצוֹtheir-landכֶּסֶףsilverוְזָהָבand-goldוְאֵיןand-there-is-noקֵצֶהendלְאֹצְרֹתָיוof-their-treasuresוַתִּמָּלֵאand-was-filledאַרְצוֹtheir-landסוּסִיםhorsesוְאֵיןand-there-is-noקֵצֶהendלְמַרְכְּבֹתָיו׃of-their-chariots

   Their land also is full of silver and gold, neither is there any end of their treasures; their land is also full of horses, neither is there any end of their chariots:

8. 8

   וַתִּמָּלֵאand-was-filledאַרְצוֹtheir-landאֱלִילִיםidolsלְמַעֲשֵׂהthe-work-ofיָדָיוhis-handsיִשְׁתַּחֲווּthey-worshipלַאֲשֶׁרthat-whichעָשׂוּhave-madeאֶצְבְּעֹתָיו׃his-fingers

   Their land also is full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made:

9. 9

   וַיִּשַּׁחand-is-bowed-downאָדָםthe-mean-manוַיִּשְׁפַּל־אִישׁand-the-great-man-is-brought-lowוְאַל־תִּשָּׂאforgive-notלָהֶם׃to-them

   And the mean man boweth down, and the great man humbleth himself: therefore forgive them not.

10. 10

    בּוֹאenterבַצּוּרinto-the-rockוְהִטָּמֵןand-hide-yourselfבֶּעָפָרin-the-dustמִפְּנֵיfor-fear-ofפַּחַדthe-dread-ofיְהֹוָהthe-LORDוּמֵהֲדַרand-for-the-glory-ofגְּאֹנוֹ׃His-majesty

    Enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty.

11. 11

    עֵינֵיthe-eyes-ofגַּבְהוּתthe-loftiness-ofאָדָםmanשָׁפֵלshall-be-humbledוְשַׁחand-shall-be-bowed-downרוּםthe-haughtiness-ofאֲנָשִׁיםmenוְנִשְׂגַּבand-shall-be-exaltedיְהֹוָהthe-LORDלְבַדּוֹaloneבַּיּוֹםin-the-dayהַהוּא׃that

    The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.

12. 12

    כִּיforיוֹםthe-day-ofלַיהֹוָהto-the-LORDצְבָאוֹתof-Hostsעַלshall-be-uponכׇּל־גֵּאֶהeveryone-proudוָרָםand-loftyוְעַלand-uponכׇּל־נִשָּׂאeveryone-lifted-upוְשָׁפֵל׃and-he-shall-be-brought-low

    For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low:

13. 13

    וְעַלand-uponכׇּל־אַרְזֵיall-the-cedars-ofהַלְּבָנוֹןLebanonהָרָמִיםthe-highוְהַנִּשָּׂאִיםand-loftyוְעַלand-uponכׇּל־אַלּוֹנֵיall-the-oaks-ofהַבָּשָׁן׃Bashan

    And upon all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan,

14. 14

    וְעַלand-uponכׇּל־הֶהָרִיםall-the-mountainsהָרָמִיםthe-highוְעַלand-uponכׇּל־הַגְּבָעוֹתall-the-hillsהַנִּשָּׂאוֹת׃that-are-lifted-up

    And upon all the high mountains, and upon all the hills that are lifted up,

15. 15

    וְעַלand-uponכׇּל־מִגְדָּלevery-towerגָּבֹהַּheightוְעַלand-uponכׇּל־חוֹמָהevery-wallבְצוּרָה׃fortified

    And upon every high tower, and upon every fenced wall,

16. 16

    וְעַלand-uponכׇּל־אֳנִיּוֹתall-the-ships-ofתַּרְשִׁישׁTarshishוְעַלand-uponכׇּל־שְׂכִיּוֹתall-the-craft-ofהַחֶמְדָּה׃delight

    And upon all the ships of Tarshish, and upon all pleasant pictures.

17. 17

    וְשַׁחand-shall-be-bowed-downגַּבְהוּתthe-loftiness-ofהָאָדָםmanוְשָׁפֵלand-shall-be-brought-lowרוּםthe-haughtiness-ofאֲנָשִׁיםmenוְנִשְׂגַּבand-shall-be-exaltedיְהֹוָהthe-LORDלְבַדּוֹaloneבַּיּוֹםin-the-dayהַהוּא׃that

    And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.

18. 18

    וְהָאֱלִילִיםand-the-idolsכָּלִילutterlyיַחֲלֹף׃shall-be-abolished

    And the idols he shall utterly abolish.

19. 19

    וּבָאוּand-they-shall-goבִּמְעָרוֹתinto-the-holes-ofצֻרִיםthe-rocksוּבִמְחִלּוֹתand-into-the-caves-ofעָפָרthe-earthמִפְּנֵיfor-fear-ofפַּחַדthe-dread-ofיְהֹוָהthe-LORDוּמֵהֲדַרand-for-the-glory-ofגְּאוֹנוֹHis-majestyבְּקוּמוֹwhen-He-arisesלַעֲרֹץto-shake-terriblyהָאָרֶץ׃the-earth

    And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.

20. 20

    בַּיּוֹםin-the-dayהַהוּאthatיַשְׁלִיךְshall-castהָאָדָםa-manאֵת־אֱלִילֵיthe-idols-ofכַסְפּוֹhis-silverוְאֵתandאֱלִילֵיthe-idols-ofזְהָבוֹhis-goldאֲשֶׁרwhichעָשׂוּ־לוֹhad-been-made-for-himלְהִשְׁתַּחֲוֺתto-bow-downלַחְפֹּרto-the-mole-פֵּרוֹתratsוְלָעֲטַלֵּפִים׃and-to-the-bats

    In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made each one for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats;

21. 21

    לָבוֹאto-goבְּנִקְרוֹתinto-the-clefts-ofהַצֻּרִיםthe-rocksוּבִסְעִפֵיand-into-the-tops-ofהַסְּלָעִיםthe-rocksמִפְּנֵיfor-fear-ofפַּחַדthe-dread-ofיְהֹוָהthe-LORDוּמֵהֲדַרand-for-the-glory-ofגְּאוֹנוֹHis-majestyבְּקוּמוֹwhen-He-arisesלַעֲרֹץto-shake-terriblyהָאָרֶץ׃the-earth

    To go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the tops of the ragged rocks, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.

22. 22

    חִדְלוּceaseלָכֶםyouמִן־הָאָדָםfrom-manאֲשֶׁרthoughנְשָׁמָהhis-breathבְּאַפּוֹbe-in-his-nostrilsכִּי־בַמֶּהfor-in-whatנֶחְשָׁבis-he-to-be-accountedהוּא׃he

    Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?
