אַל־תִּשְׂמַחal-tis/MACHrejoice notיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELO Israelאֶל־גִּילel-gilfor joyכָּעַמִּיםka/am/MIMlike the peoplesכִּיkiforזָנִיתָza/NI/tayou have played the harlotמֵעַלme/ALfromאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godאָהַבְתָּa/HAV/tayou have lovedאֶתְנָןet/NANa harlot's hireעַלaluponכׇּל־גׇּרְנוֹתkol-gor/NOTevery threshing floor ofדָּגָן׃da/GANgrain
Rejoice not, O Israel, for joy, as other people: for thou hast gone a whoring from thy God, thou hast loved a reward upon every cornfloor.

גֹּרֶןGO/renthe threshing floorוָיֶקֶבva/YE/kevand the winepressלֹאlonotיִרְעֵםyir/EMshall feed themוְתִירוֹשׁve/ti/ROSHand new wineיְכַחֶשׁye/KHA/cheshshall failבָּהּ׃bain her
The floor and the winepress shall not feed them, and the new wine shall fail in her.

לֹאlonotיֵשְׁבוּyesh/VUshall they dwellבְּאֶרֶץbe/E/retsin the land ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוְשָׁבve/SHAVbut shall returnאֶפְרַיִםEf/RA/yimEphraimמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptוּבְאַשּׁוּרu/ve/Ash/SHURand in Assyriaטָמֵאta/MEunclean thingsיֹאכֵלוּ׃yo/KHE/luthey shall eat
They shall not dwell in the LORD's land; but Ephraim shall return to Egypt, and they shall eat unclean things in Assyria.

לֹא־יִסְּכוּlo-yis/se/KHUthey shall not pour outלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaito the LORDיַיִןYA/yinwineוְלֹאve/LOand notיֶעֶרְבוּ־לוֹye/er/VU-loshall be pleasing to Himזִבְחֵיהֶםziv/che/HEMtheir sacrificesכְּלֶחֶםke/LE/chemas the bread ofאוֹנִיםo/NIMmournersלָהֶםla/HEMshall be to themכׇּל־אֹכְלָיוkol-okh/LAYVall that eat itיִטַּמָּאוּyit/tam/MA/ushall be defiledכִּי־לַחְמָםki-lach/MAMfor their breadלְנַפְשָׁםle/naf/SHAMis for their soulלֹאlonotיָבוֹאya/VOshall come intoבֵּיתbetthe house ofיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD
They shall not offer wine offerings to the LORD, neither shall they be pleasing unto him: their sacrifices shall be unto them as the bread of mourners; all that eat thereof shall be polluted: for their bread for their soul shall not come into the house of the LORD.

What will ye do in the solemn day, and in the day of the feast of the LORD?

כִּי־הִנֵּהki-hin/NEfor beholdהָלְכוּha/le/KHUthey are goneמִשֹּׁדmish/SHODbecause of destructionמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptתְּקַבְּצֵםte/kab/be/TSEMshall gather them upמֹףMofMemphisתְּקַבְּרֵםte/kab/be/REMshall bury themמַחְמַדmach/MADthe pleasant thingsלְכַסְפָּםle/khas/PAMof their silverקִמּוֹשׂkim/MOSnettlesיִירָשֵׁםyi/ra/SHEMshall possess themחוֹחַCHO/achthornsבְּאׇהֳלֵיהֶם׃be/o/ho/le/HEMin their tents
For, lo, they are gone because of destruction: Egypt shall gather them up, Memphis shall bury them: the pleasant places for their silver, nettles shall possess them: thorns shall be in their tabernacles.

בָּאוּBA/uare comeיְמֵיye/MEthe days ofהַפְּקֻדָּהhap/pe/kud/DAvisitationבָּאוּBA/uare comeיְמֵיye/MEthe days ofהַשִּׁלֻּםhash/shil/LUMrecompenseיֵדְעוּyed/Ushall know itיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelאֱוִילe/VILis a foolהַנָּבִיאhan/na/VIthe prophetמְשֻׁגָּעme/shug/GAis madאִישׁishthe man ofהָרוּחַha/RU/achthe spiritעַלalforרֹבrovthe multitude ofעֲוֺנְךָa/vo/ne/KHAyour iniquityוְרַבָּהve/rab/BAand greatמַשְׂטֵמָה׃mas/te/MAhatred
The days of visitation are come, the days of recompence are come; Israel shall know it: the prophet is a fool, the spiritual man is mad, for the multitude of thine iniquity, and the great hatred.

צֹפֶהtso/FEthe watchman ofאֶפְרַיִםEf/RA/yimEphraimעִם־אֱלֹהָיim-e/lo/HAYwith my Godנָבִיאna/VIthe prophet isפַּחpacha snare ofיָקוֹשׁya/KOSHa fowlerעַל־כׇּל־דְּרָכָיוal-kol-de/ra/KHAYVin all his waysמַשְׂטֵמָהmas/te/MAhatredבְּבֵיתbe/VETin the house ofאֱלֹהָיו׃e/lo/HAYVhis God
The watchman of Ephraim was with my God: but the prophet is a snare of a fowler in all his ways, and hatred in the house of his God.

הֶעְמִיקוּhe/MI/kuthey have deeplyשִׁחֵתוּshi/CHE/tucorrupted themselvesכִּימֵיki/MEas in the days ofהַגִּבְעָהHag/giv/AGibeahיִזְכּוֹרyiz/KORHe will rememberעֲוֺנָםa/vo/NAMtheir iniquityיִפְקוֹדyif/KODHe will visitחַטֹּאותָם׃chat/to/TAMtheir sins
They have deeply corrupted themselves, as in the days of Gibeah: therefore he will remember their iniquity, he will visit their sins.

כַּעֲנָבִיםka/a/na/VIMlike grapesבַּמִּדְבָּרbam/mid/BARin the wildernessמָצָאתִיma/TSA/tiI foundיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelכְּבִכּוּרָהֿke/vik/ku/RAas the firstripeבִתְאֵנָהvit/e/NAon a fig treeבְּרֵאשִׁיתָהּbe/re/shi/TAin her first timeרָאִיתִיra/I/tiI sawאֲבוֹתֵיכֶםa/vo/te/KHEMyour fathersהֵמָּהHEM/matheyבָּאוּBA/uwent toבַעַל־פְּעוֹרVA/al-pe/ORBaal-peorוַיִּנָּזְרוּvay/yin/na/ze/RUand separated themselvesלַבֹּשֶׁתlab/BO/shetto that shameוַיִּהְיוּvay/yih/YUand they wereשִׁקּוּצִיםshik/ku/TSIMabominationsכְּאׇהֳבָם׃ke/o/ho/VAMaccording as they loved
I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers as the firstripe in the fig tree at her first time: but they went to Baal-peor, and separated themselves unto that shame; and their abominations were according as they loved.

אֶפְרַיִםEf/RA/yimEphraimכָּעוֹףka/OFlike a birdיִתְעוֹפֵףyit/o/FEFshall fly awayכְּבוֹדָםke/vo/DAMtheir gloryמִלֵּדָהmil/le/DAfrom the birthוּמִבֶּטֶןu/mib/BE/tenand from the wombוּמֵהֵרָיוֹן׃u/me/he/ra/YONand from conception
As for Ephraim, their glory shall fly away like a bird, from the birth, and from the womb, and from the conception.

כִּיkithoughאִם־יְגַדְּלוּim-ye/gad/de/LUif they bring upאֶת־בְּנֵיהֶםet-be/ne/HEMtheir childrenוְשִׁכַּלְתִּיםve/shik/kal/TIMyet will I bereave themמֵאָדָםme/a/DAMof manכִּי־גַם־אוֹיki-gam-oyyea woe alsoלָהֶםla/HEMto themבְּשׂוּרִיbe/su/RIwhen I departמֵהֶם׃me/HEMfrom them
Though they bring up their children, yet will I bereave them, that there shall not be a man left: yea, woe also to them when I depart from them!

אֶפְרַיִםEf/RA/yimEphraimכַּאֲשֶׁר־רָאִיתִיka/a/SHER-ra/I/tias I sawלְצוֹרLe/TSORTyreשְׁתוּלָהshe/tu/LAis plantedבְנָוֶהve/na/VEin a pleasant placeוְאֶפְרַיִםve/Ef/RA/yimbut Ephraimלְהוֹצִיאle/ho/TSIshall bring forthאֶל־הֹרֵגel-ho/REGto the murdererבָּנָיו׃ba/NAYVhis children
Ephraim, as I saw Tyrus, is planted in a pleasant place: but Ephraim shall bring forth his children to the murderer.

תֵּן־לָהֶםten-la/HEMgive themיְהֹוָהAdonaiO LORDמַה־תִּתֵּןma-tit/TENwhat will you giveתֵּן־לָהֶםten-la/HEMgive themרֶחֶםRE/chema wombמַשְׁכִּילmash/KILmiscarryingוְשָׁדַיִםve/sha/DA/yimand breastsצֹמְקִים׃tsom/KIMdry
Give them, O LORD: what wilt thou give? give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts.

כׇּל־רָעָתָםkol-ra/a/TAMall their wickednessבַּגִּלְגָּלbag/Gil/GALin Gilgalכִּי־שָׁםki-shamfor thereשְׂנֵאתִיםse/ne/TIMI hated themעַלalforרֹעַRO/athe wickedness ofמַעַלְלֵיהֶםma/al/le/HEMtheir doingsמִבֵּיתִיmib/be/TIout of my houseאֲגָרְשֵׁםa/ga/re/SHEMI will drive themלֹאlonotאוֹסֵףo/SEFwill I continueאַהֲבָתָםa/ha/va/TAMto love themכׇּל־שָׂרֵיהֶםkol-sa/re/HEMall their princesסֹרְרִים׃sor/RIMare revolters
All their wickedness is in Gilgal: for there I hated them: for the wickedness of their doings I will drive them out of mine house, I will love them no more: all their princes are revolters.

Ephraim is smitten, their root is dried up, they shall bear no fruit: yea, though they bring forth, yet will I slay even the beloved fruit of their womb.

יִמְאָסֵםyim/a/SEMwill cast them awayאֱלֹהַיe/lo/HAYmy Godכִּיkibecauseלֹאlonotשָׁמְעוּsha/me/Udid they hearkenלוֹloto Himוְיִהְיוּve/yih/YUand they shall beנֹדְדִיםnod/DIMwanderersבַּגּוֹיִם׃bag/go/YIMamong the nations
My God will cast them away, because they did not hearken unto him: and they shall be wanderers among the nations.
