Hosea 6 הוֹשֵׁעַ פרק ו׳

   לְכוּle/KHUgoוְנָשׁוּבָהve/na/SHU/vaand let us returnאֶל־יְהֹוָהel-Adonaito the LORDכִּיkiforהוּאhuHeטָרָףta/RAFhas tornוְיִרְפָּאֵנוּve/yir/pa/E/nuand He will heal usיַךְyakhHe has smittenוְיַחְבְּשֵׁנוּ׃ve/yach/be/SHE/nuand He will bind us up

   Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.

2. 2

   יְחַיֵּנוּye/chay/YE/nuHe will revive usמִיֹּמָיִםmiy/yo/MA/yimafter two daysבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMin the dayהַשְּׁלִישִׁיhash/she/li/SHIthe thirdיְקִמֵנוּye/ki/ME/nuHe will raise us upוְנִחְיֶהve/nich/YEand we shall liveלְפָנָיו׃le/fa/NAYVin His sight

   After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.

3. 3

   וְנֵדְעָהve/ned/Aand let us knowנִרְדְּפָהnir/de/FAlet us follow onלָדַעַתla/DA/atto knowאֶת־יְהֹוָהet-Adonaithe LORDכְּשַׁחַרke/SHA/charlike the dawnנָכוֹןna/KHONis preparedמֹצָאוֹmo/tsa/OHis going forthוְיָבוֹאve/ya/VOand He shall comeכַגֶּשֶׁםkhag/GE/shemas the rainלָנוּLA/nuto usכְּמַלְקוֹשׁke/mal/KOSHas the latter rainיוֹרֶהyo/REthat watersאָרֶץ׃A/retsthe earth

   Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.

   מָהmawhatאֶעֱשֶׂה־לְּךָe/e/SE-le/KHAshall I do to youאֶפְרַיִםEf/RA/yimO Ephraimמָהmawhatאֶעֱשֶׂה־לְּךָe/e/SE-le/KHAshall I do to youיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAO Judahוְחַסְדְּכֶםve/chas/de/KHEMfor your goodnessכַּעֲנַן־בֹּקֶרka/a/NAN-BO/keris as a morning cloudוְכַטַּלve/khat/TALand as the dewמַשְׁכִּיםmash/KIMearlyהֹלֵךְ׃ho/LEKHthat goes away

   O Ephraim, what shall I do unto thee? O Judah, what shall I do unto thee? for your goodness is as a morning cloud, and as the early dew it goeth away.

   עַל־כֵּןal-kenthereforeחָצַבְתִּיcha/TSAV/tihave I hewn themבַּנְּבִיאִיםban/ne/vi/IMby the prophetsהֲרַגְתִּיםha/rag/TIMI have slain themבְּאִמְרֵי־פִיbe/im/RE-fiby the words of my mouthוּמִשְׁפָּטֶיךָu/mish/pa/TE/khaand your judgmentsאוֹרorlightיֵצֵא׃ye/TSEgoes forth

   Therefore have I hewed them by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of my mouth: and thy judgments are as the light that goeth forth.

   כִּיkiforחֶסֶדCHE/sedmercyחָפַצְתִּיcha/FATS/tiI desiredוְלֹא־זָבַחve/LO-ZA/vachand not sacrificeוְדַעַתve/DA/atand the knowledge ofאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodמֵעֹלוֹת׃me/o/LOTmore than burnt offerings

   For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.

7. 7

   וְהֵמָּהve/HEM/mabut theyכְּאָדָםke/a/DAMlike menעָבְרוּa/ve/RUhave transgressedבְרִיתve/RITthe covenantשָׁםshamthereבָּגְדוּBAG/duhave they dealt treacherouslyבִי׃viagainst me

   But they like men have transgressed the covenant: there have they dealt treacherously against me.

8. 8

   גִּלְעָדGil/ADGileadקִרְיַתkir/YATis a city ofפֹּעֲלֵיPO/a/lethem that workאָוֶןA/veniniquityעֲקֻבָּהa/kub/BAtrackedמִדָּם׃mid/DAMwith blood

   Gilead is a city of them that work iniquity, and is polluted with blood.

9. 9

   וּכְחַכֵּיu/khe/chak/KEand as lie in waitאִישׁishfor a manגְּדוּדִיםge/du/DIMtroops of robbersחֶבֶרCHE/verso the company ofכֹּהֲנִיםko/ha/NIMpriestsדֶּרֶךְDE/rekhin the wayיְרַצְּחוּ־שֶׁכְמָהye/rats/tse/CHU-SHEKH/mamurder toward Shechemכִּיkiforזִמָּהzim/MAlewdnessעָשׂוּ׃a/SUthey commit

   And as troops of robbers wait for a man, so the company of priests murder in the way by consent: for they commit lewdness.

    בְּבֵיתbe/VETin the house ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelרָאִיתִיra/I/tiI have seen(שעריריה)shrayarayah[שַׁעֲרוּרִיָּה]sha/a/ru/riy/YAa horrible thingשָׁםshamthereזְנוּתze/NUTis the harlotryלְאֶפְרַיִםle/Ef/RA/yimof Ephraimנִטְמָאnit/MAis defiledיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

    I have seen an horrible thing in the house of Israel: there is the whoredom of Ephraim, Israel is defiled.

11. 11

    גַּם־יְהוּדָהgam-Ye/hu/DAalso O JudahשָׁתshatHe has setקָצִירka/TSIRa harvestלָךְlakhfor youבְּשׁוּבִיbe/shu/VIwhen I returnשְׁבוּתshe/VUTthe captivity ofעַמִּי׃am/MImy people

    Also, O Judah, he hath set an harvest for thee, when I returned the captivity of my people.
