Hosea 14 הוֹשֵׁעַ פרק י״ד

   תֶּאְשַׁםte/SHAMshall bear her guiltשֹׁמְרוֹןShom/RONSamariaכִּיkiforמָרְתָהma/re/TAshe has rebelledבֵּאלֹהֶיהָbe/lo/HE/haagainst her Godבַּחֶרֶבba/CHE/revwith the swordיִפֹּלוּyip/PO/luthey shall fallעֹלְלֵיהֶםol/le/HEMtheir infantsיְרֻטָּשׁוּye/rut/TA/shushall be dashed in piecesוְהָרִיּוֹתָיוve/ha/riy/yo/TAYVand their women with childיְבֻקָּעוּ׃ye/vuk/KA/ushall be ripped up

   Samaria shall become desolate; for she hath rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up.

   O Israel, return unto the LORD thy God; for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity.

   קְחוּke/CHUtakeעִמָּכֶםim/ma/KHEMwith youדְּבָרִיםde/va/RIMwordsוְשׁוּבוּve/SHU/vuand returnאֶל־יְהֹוָהel-Adonaito the LORDאִמְרוּim/RUsayאֵלָיוe/LAYVto Himכׇּל־תִּשָּׂאkol-tis/SAtake away allעָוֺןa/VONiniquityוְקַח־טוֹבve/KACH-tovand accept goodוּנְשַׁלְּמָהu/ne/shal/le/MAso will we renderפָרִיםfa/RIMthe calves ofשְׂפָתֵינוּ׃se/fa/TE/nuour lips

   Take with you words, and turn to the LORD: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips.

   אַשּׁוּרAsh/SHURAssyriaלֹאlonotיוֹשִׁיעֵנוּyo/shi/E/nushall save usעַל־סוּסal-susupon horsesלֹאlonotנִרְכָּבnir/KAVwill we rideוְלֹא־נֹאמַרve/LO-NO/marneither will we sayעוֹדodany moreאֱלֹהֵינוּe/lo/HE/nuour godsלְמַעֲשֵׂהle/ma/a/SEto the work ofיָדֵינוּya/DE/nuour handsאֲשֶׁר־בְּךָa/SHER-be/KHAfor in Youיְרֻחַםye/ru/CHAMfinds mercyיָתוֹם׃ya/TOMthe fatherless

   Asshur shall not save us; we will not ride upon horses: neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, Ye are our gods: for in thee the fatherless findeth mercy.

   אֶרְפָּאer/PAI will healמְשׁוּבָתָםme/shu/va/TAMtheir backslidingאֹהֲבֵםo/ha/VEMI will love themנְדָבָהne/da/VAfreelyכִּיkiforשָׁבshavis turned awayאַפִּיap/PImy angerמִמֶּנּוּ׃mim/MEN/nufrom him

   I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for mine anger is turned away from him.

   אֶהְיֶהeh/YEI will beכַטַּלkhat/TALas the dewלְיִשְׂרָאֵלle/Yis/ra/ELto Israelיִפְרַחyif/RACHhe shall blossomכַּשּׁוֹשַׁנָּהkash/sho/shan/NAas the lilyוְיַךְve/YAKHand cast forthשׇׁרָשָׁיוsho/ra/SHAYVhis rootsכַּלְּבָנוֹן׃kal/Le/va/NONas Lebanon

   I will be as the dew unto Israel: he shall grow as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon.

   יֵלְכוּyel/KHUshall spreadיֹנְקוֹתָיוyon/ko/TAYVhis branchesוִיהִיvi/HIand shall beכַזַּיִתkhaz/ZA/yitas the olive treeהוֹדוֹho/DOhis beautyוְרֵיחַve/RE/achand smellלוֹlohisכַּלְּבָנוֹן׃kal/Le/va/NONas Lebanon

   His branches shall spread, and his beauty shall be as the olive tree, and his smell as Lebanon.

   יָשֻׁבוּya/SHU/vushall returnיֹשְׁבֵיyosh/VEthey that dwellבְצִלּוֹve/tsil/LOunder his shadowיְחַיּוּye/chay/YUthey shall reviveדָגָןda/GANas the grainוְיִפְרְחוּve/yif/re/CHUand blossomכַגָּפֶןkhag/GA/fenas the vineזִכְרוֹzikh/ROthe scent thereofכְּיֵיןke/YENas the wine ofלְבָנוֹן׃Le/va/NONLebanon

   They that dwell under his shadow shall return; they shall revive as the corn, and grow as the vine: the scent thereof shall be as the wine of Lebanon.

   אֶפְרַיִםEf/RA/yimO Ephraimמַה־לִּיma-liwhat have Iעוֹדodany moreלָעֲצַבִּיםla/a/tsab/BIMto do with idolsאֲנִיa/NIIעָנִיתִיa/NI/tihave answered himוַאֲשׁוּרֶנּוּva/a/shu/REN/nuand observed himאֲנִיa/NIIכִּבְרוֹשׁkiv/ROSHam like a cypressרַעֲנָןra/a/NANgreenמִמֶּנִּיmim/MEN/nifrom meפֶּרְיְךָper/ye/KHAyour fruitנִמְצָא׃nim/TSAis found

   Ephraim shall say, What have I to do any more with idols? I have heard him, and observed him: I am like a green fir tree. From me is thy fruit found.

    מִיmiwho isחָכָםcha/KHAMwiseוְיָבֵןve/ya/VENand he shall understandאֵלֶּהEL/lethese thingsנָבוֹןna/VONprudentוְיֵדָעֵםve/ye/da/EMand he shall know themכִּי־יְשָׁרִיםki-ye/sha/RIMfor right areדַּרְכֵיdar/KHEthe ways ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוְצַדִּקִיםve/tsad/di/KIMand the justיֵלְכוּyel/KHUshall walkבָםvamin themוּפֹשְׁעִיםu/fosh/IMbut the transgressorsיִכָּשְׁלוּyik/ka/she/LUshall stumbleבָם׃vamin them

    Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the LORD are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein.
