   וַיְבָרֶךְvay/VA/rekhand blessedאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodאֶת־נֹחַet-NO/achNoahוְאֶת־בָּנָיוve/ET-ba/NAYVand his sonsוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidלָהֶםla/HEMto themפְּרוּpe/RUbe fruitfulוּרְבוּu/re/VUand multiplyוּמִלְאוּu/mil/Uand fillאֶת־הָאָרֶץ׃et-ha/A/retsthe earth

   And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.

   And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered.

   כׇּל־רֶמֶשׂkol-RE/mesevery moving thingאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatהוּא־חַיhu-chaythat livesלָכֶםla/KHEMfor youיִהְיֶהyih/YEshall beלְאׇכְלָהle/okh/LAfor foodכְּיֶרֶקke/YE/rekas the greenעֵשֶׂבE/sevherbנָתַתִּיna/TAT/tiI have givenלָכֶםla/KHEMto youאֶת־כֹּל׃et-kolall

   Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.

   אַךְ־בָּשָׂרakh-ba/SARbut fleshבְּנַפְשׁוֹbe/naf/SHOwith its lifeדָמוֹda/MOits bloodלֹאlonotתֹאכֵלוּ׃to/KHE/luyou shall eat

   But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.

   וְאַךְve/AKHand surelyאֶת־דִּמְכֶםet-dim/KHEMyour bloodלְנַפְשֹׁתֵיכֶםle/naf/sho/te/KHEMof your livesאֶדְרֹשׁed/ROSHwill I requireמִיַּדmiy/YADat the hand ofכׇּל־חַיָּהkol-chay/YAevery beastאֶדְרְשֶׁנּוּed/re/SHEN/nuwill I require itוּמִיַּדu/miy/YADand at the hand ofהָאָדָםha/a/DAMmanמִיַּדmiy/YADat the hand ofאִישׁisha man'sאָחִיוa/CHIVbrotherאֶדְרֹשׁed/ROSHI will requireאֶת־נֶפֶשׁet-NE/feshthe life ofהָאָדָם׃ha/a/DAMman

   And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man.

   שֹׁפֵךְsho/FEKHwhoso shedsדַּםdamthe blood ofהָאָדָםha/a/DAMmanבָּאָדָםba/a/DAMby manדָּמוֹda/MOhis bloodיִשָּׁפֵךְyish/sha/FEKHshall be shedכִּיkiforבְּצֶלֶםbe/TSE/lemin the image ofאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodעָשָׂהa/SAmade Heאֶת־הָאָדָם׃et-ha/a/DAMman

   Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.

   וְאַתֶּםve/at/TEMand youפְּרוּpe/RUbe fruitfulוּרְבוּu/re/VUand multiplyשִׁרְצוּshir/TSUswarmבָאָרֶץva/A/retsin the earthוּרְבוּ־בָהּ׃u/re/VU-vaand multiply therein

   And you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein.

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand spokeאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodאֶל־נֹחַel-NO/achto Noahוְאֶל־בָּנָיוve/EL-ba/NAYVand to his sonsאִתּוֹit/TOwith himלֵאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

   And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying,

9. 9

   וַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iהִנְנִיhin/NIbehold Iמֵקִיםme/KIMestablishאֶת־בְּרִיתִיet-be/ri/TImy covenantאִתְּכֶםit/te/KHEMwith youוְאֶת־זַרְעֲכֶםve/ET-zar/a/KHEMand with your seedאַחֲרֵיכֶם׃a/cha/re/KHEMafter you

   And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you;

10. 10

    וְאֵתve/ETand withכׇּל־נֶפֶשׁkol-NE/feshevery creatureהַחַיָּהha/chay/YAlivingאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat isאִתְּכֶםit/te/KHEMwith youבָּעוֹףba/OFof the birdsבַּבְּהֵמָהbab/be/he/MAof the livestockוּבְכׇל־חַיַּתu/ve/KHOL-chay/YATand every beast ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthאִתְּכֶםit/te/KHEMwith youמִכֹּלmik/KOLof allיֹצְאֵיyots/Ethat go out ofהַתֵּבָהhat/te/VAthe arkלְכֹלle/KHOLto everyחַיַּתchay/YATbeast ofהָאָרֶץ׃ha/A/retsthe earth

    And with every living creature that is with you, of the fowl, of the cattle, and of every beast of the earth with you; from all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth.

11. 11

    וַהֲקִמֹתִיva/ha/ki/mo/TIand I will establishאֶת־בְּרִיתִיet-be/ri/TImy covenantאִתְּכֶםit/te/KHEMwith youוְלֹא־יִכָּרֵתve/LO-yik/ka/RETand shall not be cut offכׇּל־בָּשָׂרkol-ba/SARall fleshעוֹדodany moreמִמֵּיmim/MEby the waters ofהַמַּבּוּלham/mab/BULthe floodוְלֹא־יִהְיֶהve/LO-yih/YEneither shall there beעוֹדodany moreמַבּוּלmab/BULa floodלְשַׁחֵתle/sha/CHETto destroyהָאָרֶץ׃ha/A/retsthe earth

    And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.

12. 12

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodזֹאתzotthis isאוֹת־הַבְּרִיתot-hab/be/RITthe sign of the covenantאֲשֶׁר־אֲנִיa/SHER-a/NIwhich Iנֹתֵןno/TENgiveבֵּינִיbe/NIbetween meוּבֵינֵיכֶםu/ve/ne/KHEMand youוּבֵיןu/VENandכׇּל־נֶפֶשׁkol-NE/feshevery creatureחַיָּהchay/YAlivingאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat isאִתְּכֶםit/te/KHEMwith youלְדֹרֹתle/do/ROTfor generationsעוֹלָם׃o/LAMperpetual

    And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:

13. 13

    אֶת־קַשְׁתִּיet-kash/TImy bowנָתַתִּיna/TAT/tiI do setבֶּעָנָןbe/a/NANin the cloudוְהָיְתָהve/ha/ye/TAand it shall beלְאוֹתle/OTfor the sign ofבְּרִיתbe/RITthe covenantבֵּינִיbe/NIbetween meוּבֵיןu/VENandהָאָרֶץ׃ha/A/retsthe earth

    I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.

14. 14

    וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall beבְּעַנְנִיbe/an/NIwhen I bringעָנָןa/NANa cloudעַל־הָאָרֶץal-ha/A/retsover the earthוְנִרְאֲתָהve/nir/a/TAthat shall be seenהַקֶּשֶׁתhak/KE/shetthe bowבֶּעָנָן׃be/a/NANin the cloud

    And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud:

15. 15

    וְזָכַרְתִּיve/za/khar/TIand I will rememberאֶת־בְּרִיתִיet-be/ri/TImy covenantאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhich isבֵּינִיbe/NIbetween meוּבֵינֵיכֶםu/ve/ne/KHEMand youוּבֵיןu/VENandכׇּל־נֶפֶשׁkol-NE/feshevery creatureחַיָּהchay/YAlivingבְּכׇל־בָּשָׂרbe/KHOL-ba/SARof all fleshוְלֹא־יִהְיֶהve/LO-yih/YEand shall not becomeעוֹדodany moreהַמַּיִםham/MA/yimthe watersלְמַבּוּלle/mab/BULa floodלְשַׁחֵתle/sha/CHETto destroyכׇּל־בָּשָׂר׃kol-ba/SARall flesh

    And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.

16. 16

    וְהָיְתָהve/ha/ye/TAand shall beהַקֶּשֶׁתhak/KE/shetthe bowבֶּעָנָןbe/a/NANin the cloudוּרְאִיתִיהָu/re/i/TI/haand I will look upon itלִזְכֹּרliz/KORto rememberבְּרִיתbe/RITthe covenantעוֹלָםo/LAMeverlastingבֵּיןbenbetweenאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodוּבֵיןu/VENand betweenכׇּל־נֶפֶשׁkol-NE/feshevery creatureחַיָּהchay/YAlivingבְּכׇל־בָּשָׂרbe/KHOL-ba/SARof all fleshאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat isעַל־הָאָרֶץ׃al-ha/A/retson the earth

    And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.

17. 17

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodאֶל־נֹחַel-NO/achto Noahזֹאתzotthis isאוֹת־הַבְּרִיתot-hab/be/RITthe sign of the covenantאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהֲקִמֹתִיha/ki/MO/tiI have establishedבֵּינִיbe/NIbetween meוּבֵיןu/VENandכׇּל־בָּשָׂרkol-ba/SARall fleshאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat isעַל־הָאָרֶץ׃al-ha/A/retson the earth

    And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth.

18. 18

    וַיִּהְיוּvay/yih/YUand wereבְנֵי־נֹחַve/NE-NO/achthe sons of Noahהַיֹּצְאִיםhay/yots/IMwho went outמִן־הַתֵּבָהmin-hat/te/VAof the arkשֵׁםShemShemוְחָםve/CHAMand Hamוָיָפֶתva/YA/fetand Japhethוְחָםve/CHAMand Hamהוּאhuisאֲבִיa/VIthe father ofכְנָעַן׃Khe/NA/anCanaan

    And the sons of Noah, that went forth of the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth: and Ham is the father of Canaan.

19. 19

    שְׁלֹשָׁהshe/lo/SHAthreeאֵלֶּהEL/lethese wereבְּנֵי־נֹחַbe/NE-NO/achthe sons of Noahוּמֵאֵלֶּהu/me/EL/leand of theseנָפְצָהna/fe/TSAwas overspreadכׇל־הָאָרֶץ׃khol-ha/A/retsall the earth

    These are the three sons of Noah: and of them was the whole earth overspread.

20. 20

    וַיָּחֶלvay/YA/cheland beganנֹחַNO/achNoahאִישׁisha man ofהָאֲדָמָהha/a/da/MAthe groundוַיִּטַּעvay/yit/TAand he plantedכָּרֶם׃KA/rema vineyard

    And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard:

21. 21

    וַיֵּשְׁתְּvay/YESHTand he drankמִן־הַיַּיִןmin-hay/YA/yinof the wineוַיִּשְׁכָּרvay/yish/KARand was drunkוַיִּתְגַּלvay/yit/GALand he was uncoveredבְּתוֹךְbe/TOKHwithinאׇהֳלֹה׃o/ho/LOhis tent

    And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent.

22. 22

    וַיַּרְאvay/YARand sawחָםChamHamאֲבִיa/VIthe father ofכְנַעַןKhe/NA/anCanaanאֵת־עֶרְוַתet-er/VATthe nakedness ofאָבִיוa/VIVhis fatherוַיַּגֵּדvay/yag/GEDand he toldלִשְׁנֵי־אֶחָיוlish/NE-e/CHAYVhis two brothersבַּחוּץ׃ba/CHUTSwithout

    And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without.

23. 23

    וַיִּקַּחvay/yik/KACHand tookשֵׁםShemShemוָיֶפֶתva/YE/fetand Japhethאֶת־הַשִּׂמְלָהet-has/sim/LAthe garmentוַיָּשִׂימוּvay/ya/SI/muand laid itעַל־שְׁכֶםal-she/KHEMupon the shoulder ofשְׁנֵיהֶםshe/ne/HEMboth of themוַיֵּלְכוּvay/yel/KHUand wentאֲחֹרַנִּיתa/cho/ran/NITbackwardוַיְכַסּוּvay/khas/SUand coveredאֵת־עֶרְוַתet-er/VATthe nakedness ofאֲבִיהֶםa/vi/HEMtheir fatherוּפְנֵיהֶםu/fe/ne/HEMand their facesאֲחֹרַנִּיתa/cho/ran/NITbackwardוְעֶרְוַתve/er/VATand the nakedness ofאֲבִיהֶםa/vi/HEMtheir fatherלֹאlonotרָאוּ׃ra/Uthey saw

    And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father's nakedness.

24. 24

    וַיִּיקֶץvay/YI/ketsand awokeנֹחַNO/achNoahמִיֵּינוֹmiy/ye/NOfrom his wineוַיֵּדַעvay/YE/daand knewאֵת־אֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂהet-a/SHER-a/SAwhat had doneלוֹloto himבְּנוֹbe/NOhis sonהַקָּטָן׃hak/ka/TANthe younger

    And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him.

25. 25

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidאָרוּרa/RURcursedכְּנָעַןKe/NA/anCanaanעֶבֶדE/veda servant ofעֲבָדִיםa/va/DIMservantsיִהְיֶהyih/YEshall he beלְאֶחָיו׃le/e/CHAYVto his brothers

    And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.

26. 26

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidבָּרוּךְba/RUKHblessedיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofשֵׁםShemShemוִיהִיvi/HIand let beכְנַעַןKhe/NA/anCanaanעֶבֶדE/veda servantלָמוֹ׃LA/moto him

    And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.

27. 27

    יַפְתְּyaftmay enlargeאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodלְיֶפֶתLe/YE/fetJaphethוְיִשְֹּׁןve/yish/SHONand may he dwellבְּאׇהֳלֵי־שֵׁםbe/O/ho/LE-shemin the tents of Shemוִיהִיvi/HIand let beכְנַעַןKhe/NA/anCanaanעֶבֶדE/veda servantלָמוֹ׃LA/moto him

    God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.

28. 28

    וַיְחִי־נֹחַvay/CHI-NO/achand Noah livedאַחַרa/CHARafterהַמַּבּוּלham/mab/BULthe floodשְׁלֹשׁshe/LOSHthreeמֵאוֹתme/OThundredשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsוַחֲמִשִּׁיםva/cha/mish/SHIMand fiftyשָׁנָה׃sha/NAyears

    And Noah lived after the flood three hundred and fifty years.

29. 29

    וַיִּהְיוּvay/yih/YUand wereכׇּל־יְמֵי־נֹחַkol-Ye/ME-NO/achall the days of Noahתְּשַׁעte/SHAnineמֵאוֹתme/OThundredשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsוַחֲמִשִּׁיםva/cha/mish/SHIMand fiftyשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsוַיָּמֹת׃vay/ya/MOTand he died

    And all the days of Noah were nine hundred and fifty years: and he died.
