וַיֹּאמֶרand saidיְהֹוָהthe LORDלְנֹחַto Noahבֹּא־אַתָּהenter youוְכׇל־בֵּיתְךָand all your householdאֶל־הַתֵּבָהinto the arkכִּי־אֹתְךָfor youרָאִיתִיI have seenצַדִּיקrighteousלְפָנַיbefore Meבַּדּוֹרin generationהַזֶּה׃this
And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.

מִכֹּלof everyהַבְּהֵמָהanimalהַטְּהוֹרָהcleanתִּקַּח־לְךָyou shall take with youשִׁבְעָהsevenשִׁבְעָהeachאִישׁa maleוְאִשְׁתּוֹand his femaleוּמִן־הַבְּהֵמָהand of animalsאֲשֶׁרthatלֹאare notטְהֹרָהcleanהִואareשְׁנַיִםtwoאִישׁa maleוְאִשְׁתּוֹ׃and his female
Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female.

גַּםalsoמֵעוֹףof birds ofהַשָּׁמַיִםthe skyשִׁבְעָהsevenשִׁבְעָהeachזָכָרmaleוּנְקֵבָהand femaleלְחַיּוֹתto keep aliveזֶרַעoffspringעַל־פְּנֵיon the face ofכׇל־הָאָרֶץ׃all the earth
Of fowls also of the air by sevens, the male and the female; to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth.

כִּיforלְיָמִיםin daysעוֹדmoreשִׁבְעָהsevenאָנֹכִיIמַמְטִירwill cause it to rainעַל־הָאָרֶץon the earthאַרְבָּעִיםfortyיוֹםdaysוְאַרְבָּעִיםand fortyלָיְלָהnightsוּמָחִיתִיand I will destroyאֶת־כׇּל־הַיְקוּםall living thingsאֲשֶׁרthatעָשִׂיתִיI have madeמֵעַלfromפְּנֵיthe face ofהָאֲדָמָה׃the earth
For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth.

וַיַּעַשׂand he didנֹחַNoahכְּכֹלaccording to allאֲשֶׁר־צִוָּהוּthat commanded himיְהֹוָה׃the LORD
And Noah did according unto all that the LORD commanded him.

וְנֹחַand Noahבֶּן־שֵׁשׁwas sixמֵאוֹתhundredשָׁנָהyears oldוְהַמַּבּוּלwhen the floodהָיָהcameמַיִםof waterעַל־הָאָרֶץ׃upon the earth
And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth.

וַיָּבֹאand enteredנֹחַNoahוּבָנָיוand his sonsוְאִשְׁתּוֹand his wifeוּנְשֵׁי־בָנָיוand the wives of his sonsאִתּוֹwith himאֶל־הַתֵּבָהinto the arkמִפְּנֵיbecause ofמֵיthe waters ofהַמַּבּוּל׃the flood
And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.

מִן־הַבְּהֵמָהfrom animalsהַטְּהוֹרָהcleanוּמִן־הַבְּהֵמָהand from animalsאֲשֶׁרthatאֵינֶנָּהare notטְהֹרָהcleanוּמִן־הָעוֹףand from birdsוְכֹלand everythingאֲשֶׁר־רֹמֵשׂthat creepsעַל־הָאֲדָמָה׃on the ground
Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creepeth upon the earth,

שְׁנַיִםtwoשְׁנַיִםby twoבָּאוּthey wentאֶל־נֹחַto Noahאֶל־הַתֵּבָהinto the arkזָכָרmaleוּנְקֵבָהand femaleכַּאֲשֶׁרasצִוָּהhad commandedאֱלֹהִיםGodאֶת־נֹחַ׃Noah
There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah.

וַיְהִיand it came to passלְשִׁבְעַתafter sevenהַיָּמִיםdaysוּמֵיthat the waters ofהַמַּבּוּלthe floodהָיוּwereעַל־הָאָרֶץ׃upon the earth
And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth.

בִּשְׁנַתin the year ofשֵׁשׁ־מֵאוֹתsix hundredשָׁנָהyearsלְחַיֵּי־נֹחַof the life of Noahבַּחֹדֶשׁin the monthהַשֵּׁנִיthe secondבְּשִׁבְעָה־עָשָׂרon the seventeenthיוֹםdayלַחֹדֶשׁof the monthבַּיּוֹםon dayהַזֶּהthisנִבְקְעוּburst forthכׇּל־מַעְיְנוֹתall the fountains ofתְּהוֹםthe deepרַבָּהgreatוַאֲרֻבֹּתand the windows ofהַשָּׁמַיִםthe heavensנִפְתָּחוּ׃were opened
In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.

וַיְהִיand wasהַגֶּשֶׁםthe rainעַל־הָאָרֶץupon the earthאַרְבָּעִיםfortyיוֹםdaysוְאַרְבָּעִיםand fortyלָיְלָה׃nights
And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.

בְּעֶצֶםon the veryהַיּוֹםdayהַזֶּהthisבָּאenteredנֹחַNoahוְשֵׁם־וְחָםand Shem and Hamוָיֶפֶתand Japhethבְּנֵי־נֹחַthe sons of Noahוְאֵשֶׁתand the wife ofנֹחַNoahוּשְׁלֹשֶׁתand the threeנְשֵׁי־בָנָיוwives of his sonsאִתָּםwith themאֶל־הַתֵּבָה׃into the ark
In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark;

הֵמָּהtheyוְכׇל־הַחַיָּהand every beastלְמִינָהּafter its kindוְכׇל־הַבְּהֵמָהand all the livestockלְמִינָהּafter their kindוְכׇל־הָרֶמֶשׂand every creeping thingהָרֹמֵשׂthat creepsעַל־הָאָרֶץon the earthלְמִינֵהוּafter its kindוְכׇל־הָעוֹףand every birdלְמִינֵהוּafter its kindכֹּלeveryצִפּוֹרbirdכׇּל־כָּנָף׃of every sort
They, and every beast after his kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind, and every fowl after his kind, every bird of every sort.

וַיָּבֹאוּand they wentאֶל־נֹחַto Noahאֶל־הַתֵּבָהinto the arkשְׁנַיִםtwoשְׁנַיִםby twoמִכׇּל־הַבָּשָׂרof all fleshאֲשֶׁר־בּוֹin which isרוּחַthe breath ofחַיִּים׃life
And they went in unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life.

וְהַבָּאִיםand they that enteredזָכָרmaleוּנְקֵבָהand femaleמִכׇּל־בָּשָׂרof all fleshבָּאוּthey went inכַּאֲשֶׁרasצִוָּהhad commandedאֹתוֹhimאֱלֹהִיםGodוַיִּסְגֹּרand shut inיְהֹוָהthe LORDבַּעֲדוֹ׃him
And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the LORD shut him in.

וַיְהִיand wasהַמַּבּוּלthe floodאַרְבָּעִיםfortyיוֹםdaysעַל־הָאָרֶץon the earthוַיִּרְבּוּand increasedהַמַּיִםthe watersוַיִּשְׂאוּand lifted upאֶת־הַתֵּבָהthe arkוַתָּרׇםand it rose highמֵעַלaboveהָאָרֶץ׃the earth
And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lift up above the earth.

וַיִּגְבְּרוּand prevailedהַמַּיִםthe watersוַיִּרְבּוּand increasedמְאֹדgreatlyעַל־הָאָרֶץupon the earthוַתֵּלֶךְand moved aboutהַתֵּבָהthe arkעַל־פְּנֵיon the surface ofהַמָּיִם׃the waters
And the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters.

וְהַמַּיִםand the watersגָּבְרוּprevailedמְאֹדexceedinglyמְאֹדexceedinglyעַל־הָאָרֶץupon the earthוַיְכֻסּוּand were coveredכׇּל־הֶהָרִיםall the hillsהַגְּבֹהִיםthe highאֲשֶׁר־תַּחַתthat were underכׇּל־הַשָּׁמָיִם׃all the heavens
And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that were under the whole heaven, were covered.

חֲמֵשׁ־עֶשְׂרֵהfifteenאַמָּהcubitsמִלְמַעְלָהupwardגָּבְרוּprevailedהַמָּיִםthe watersוַיְכֻסּוּand were coveredהֶהָרִים׃the mountains
Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered.

וַיִּגְוַעand diedכׇּל־בָּשָׂרall fleshהָרֹמֵשׂthat movedעַל־הָאָרֶץon the earthבָּעוֹףbirdsוּבַבְּהֵמָהand livestockוּבַחַיָּהand livingוּבְכׇל־הַשֶּׁרֶץand every creeping thingהַשֹּׁרֵץthat creepsעַל־הָאָרֶץon the earthוְכֹלand everyהָאָדָם׃man
And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beast, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man:

כֹּלeverythingאֲשֶׁרthat hadנִשְׁמַת־רוּחַthe breath of the spirit ofחַיִּיםlifeבְּאַפָּיוin its nostrilsמִכֹּלall that wasאֲשֶׁרonבֶּחָרָבָהthe dry landמֵתוּ׃died
All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land, died.

וַיִּמַחso He destroyedאֶת־כׇּל־הַיְקוּםall living thingsאֲשֶׁרwhich wereעַל־פְּנֵיon the face ofהָאֲדָמָהthe earthמֵאָדָםfrom manעַד־בְּהֵמָהto livestockעַד־רֶמֶשׂto creeping thingוְעַד־עוֹףand to the birds ofהַשָּׁמַיִםthe airוַיִּמָּחוּand they were destroyedמִן־הָאָרֶץfrom the earthוַיִּשָּׁאֶרand remainedאַךְ־נֹחַonly Noahוַאֲשֶׁרand those who wereאִתּוֹwith himבַּתֵּבָה׃in the ark
And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark.

וַיִּגְבְּרוּand prevailedהַמַּיִםthe watersעַל־הָאָרֶץupon the earthחֲמִשִּׁיםfiftyוּמְאַתand a hundredיוֹם׃days
And the waters prevailed upon the earth an hundred and fifty days.
