   וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passכִּי־הֵחֵלki-he/CHELwhen beganהָאָדָםha/a/DAMmenלָרֹבla/ROVto multiplyעַל־פְּנֵיal-pe/NEon the face ofהָאֲדָמָהha/a/da/MAthe earthוּבָנוֹתu/va/NOTand daughtersיֻלְּדוּyul/le/DUwere bornלָהֶם׃la/HEMto them

   And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,

   וַיִּרְאוּvay/yir/Uand sawבְנֵי־הָאֱלֹהִיםve/NE-ha/e/lo/HIMthe sons of Godאֶת־בְּנוֹתet-be/NOTthe daughters ofהָאָדָםha/a/DAMmenכִּיkithatטֹבֹתto/VOTfairהֵנָּהHEN/nathey wereוַיִּקְחוּvay/yik/CHUand they tookלָהֶםla/HEMfor themselvesנָשִׁיםna/SHIMwivesמִכֹּלmik/KOLof allאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomבָּחָרוּ׃ba/CHA/ruthey chose

   That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDלֹא־יָדוֹןlo-ya/DONshall not striveרוּחִיru/CHImy spiritבָאָדָםva/a/DAMwith manלְעֹלָםle/o/LAMforeverבְּשַׁגַּםbe/shag/GAMfor that alsoהוּאhuhe isבָשָׂרva/SARfleshוְהָיוּve/ha/YUand shall beיָמָיוya/MAYVhis daysמֵאָהme/Aa hundredוְעֶשְׂרִיםve/es/RIMand twentyשָׁנָה׃sha/NAyears

   And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

   There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

   וַיַּרְאvay/YARand sawיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDכִּיkithatרַבָּהrab/BAgreatרָעַתra/ATthe wickedness ofהָאָדָםha/a/DAMmanבָּאָרֶץba/A/retsin the earthוְכׇל־יֵצֶרve/KHOL-YE/tserand every imagination ofמַחְשְׁבֹתmach/she/VOTthe thoughts ofלִבּוֹlib/BOhis heartרַקrakonlyרַעraevilכׇּל־הַיּוֹם׃kol-hay/YOMall the day

   And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

6. 6

   וַיִּנָּחֶםvay/yin/NA/chemand repentedיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDכִּי־עָשָׂהki-a/SAthat He had madeאֶת־הָאָדָםet-ha/a/DAMmanבָּאָרֶץba/A/retsin the earthוַיִּתְעַצֵּבvay/yit/ats/TSEVand He was grievedאֶל־לִבּוֹ׃el-lib/BOto His heart

   And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

7. 7

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶמְחֶהem/CHEI will blot outאֶת־הָאָדָםet-ha/a/DAMmanאֲשֶׁר־בָּרָאתִיa/SHER-ba/RA/tiwhom I have createdמֵעַלme/ALfrom uponפְּנֵיpe/NEthe face ofהָאֲדָמָהha/a/da/MAthe groundמֵאָדָםme/a/DAMfrom manעַד־בְּהֵמָהad-be/he/MAto beastעַד־רֶמֶשׂad-RE/mesto creeping thingוְעַד־עוֹףve/AD-ofand to the birds ofהַשָּׁמָיִםhash/sha/MA/yimthe airכִּיkiforנִחַמְתִּיni/CHAM/tiI repentכִּיkithatעֲשִׂיתִם׃a/si/TIMI have made them

   And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

   וְנֹחַve/NO/achbut Noahמָצָאma/TSAfoundחֵןchengraceבְּעֵינֵיbe/e/NEin the eyes ofיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

   But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

9. 9

   אֵלֶּהEL/lethese areתּוֹלְדֹתtol/DOTthe generations ofנֹחַNO/achNoahנֹחַNO/achNoahאִישׁisha manצַדִּיקtsad/DIKrighteousתָּמִיםta/MIMperfectהָיָהha/YAwasבְּדֹרֹתָיוbe/do/ro/TAYVin his generationsאֶת־הָאֱלֹהִיםet-ha/e/lo/HIMwith Godהִתְהַלֶּךְ־נֹחַ׃hit/hal/LEKH-NO/achwalked Noah

   These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

10. 10

    וַיּוֹלֶדvay/YO/ledand begatנֹחַNO/achNoahשְׁלֹשָׁהshe/lo/SHAthreeבָנִיםva/NIMsonsאֶת־שֵׁםet-ShemShemאֶת־חָםet-ChamHamוְאֶת־יָפֶת׃ve/ET-YA/fetand Japheth

    And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

11. 11

    וַתִּשָּׁחֵתvat/tish/sha/CHETand was corruptהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodוַתִּמָּלֵאvat/tim/ma/LEand was filledהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthחָמָס׃cha/MASviolence

    The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.

12. 12

    וַיַּרְאvay/YARand sawאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodאֶת־הָאָרֶץet-ha/A/retsthe earthוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdנִשְׁחָתָהnish/CHA/tait was corruptכִּי־הִשְׁחִיתki-hish/CHITfor had corruptedכׇּל־בָּשָׂרkol-ba/SARall fleshאֶת־דַּרְכּוֹet-dar/KOhis wayעַל־הָאָרֶץ׃al-ha/A/retsupon the earth

    And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.

13. 13

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodלְנֹחַle/NO/achto Noahקֵץketsthe end ofכׇּל־בָּשָׂרkol-ba/SARall fleshבָּאbais comeלְפָנַיle/fa/NAYbefore meכִּי־מָלְאָהki-ma/le/Afor is filledהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthחָמָסcha/MASviolenceמִפְּנֵיהֶםmip/pe/ne/HEMbecause of themוְהִנְנִיve/hin/NIand behold Iמַשְׁחִיתָםmash/chi/TAMwill destroy themאֶת־הָאָרֶץ׃et-ha/A/retswith the earth

    And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

    עֲשֵׂהa/SEmakeלְךָle/KHAfor yourselfתֵּבַתTE/vatan ark ofעֲצֵי־גֹפֶרa/TSE-GO/fergopher woodקִנִּיםkin/NIMroomsתַּעֲשֶׂהta/a/SEshall you makeאֶת־הַתֵּבָהet-hat/te/VAthe arkוְכָפַרְתָּve/kha/far/TAand you shall pitchאֹתָהּo/TAitמִבַּיִתmib/BA/yitwithinוּמִחוּץu/mi/CHUTSand withoutבַּכֹּפֶר׃bak/KO/ferwith pitch

    Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.

15. 15

    וְזֶהve/ZEand this isאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichתַּעֲשֶׂהta/a/SEyou shall makeאֹתָהּo/TAitשְׁלֹשׁshe/LOSHthreeמֵאוֹתme/OThundredאַמָּהam/MAcubitsאֹרֶךְO/rekhthe length ofהַתֵּבָהhat/te/VAthe arkחֲמִשִּׁיםcha/mish/SHIMfiftyאַמָּהam/MAcubitsרׇחְבָּהּroch/BAits breadthוּשְׁלֹשִׁיםu/she/lo/SHIMand thirtyאַמָּהam/MAcubitsקוֹמָתָהּ׃ko/ma/TAits height

    And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.

16. 16

    צֹהַרTSO/hara windowתַּעֲשֶׂהta/a/SEyou shall makeלַתֵּבָהlat/te/VAfor the arkוְאֶל־אַמָּהve/EL-am/MAand in a cubitתְּכַלֶּנָּהte/khal/LEN/nashall you finish itמִלְמַעְלָהmil/MA/laaboveוּפֶתַחu/FE/tachand the door ofהַתֵּבָהhat/te/VAthe arkבְּצִדָּהּbe/tsid/DAin its sideתָּשִׂיםta/SIMyou shall setתַּחְתִּיִּםtach/tiy/YIMlowerשְׁנִיִּםshe/niy/YIMsecondוּשְׁלִשִׁיםu/she/li/SHIMand thirdתַּעֲשֶׂהָ׃ta/a/SE/hayou shall make it

    A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it.

17. 17

    וַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iהִנְנִיhin/NIbehold Iמֵבִיאme/VIdo bringאֶת־הַמַּבּוּלet-ham/mab/BULthe flood ofמַיִםMA/yimwatersעַל־הָאָרֶץal-ha/A/retsupon the earthלְשַׁחֵתle/sha/CHETto destroyכׇּל־בָּשָׂרkol-ba/SARall fleshאֲשֶׁר־בּוֹa/SHER-bowherein isרוּחַRU/achthe breath ofחַיִּיםchay/YIMlifeמִתַּחַתmit/TA/chatfrom underהַשָּׁמָיִםhash/sha/MA/yimheavenכֹּלkolevery thingאֲשֶׁר־בָּאָרֶץa/SHER-ba/A/retsthat is on the earthיִגְוָע׃yig/VAshall perish

    And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.

18. 18

    וַהֲקִמֹתִיva/ha/ki/mo/TIbut I will establishאֶת־בְּרִיתִיet-be/ri/TImy covenantאִתָּךְit/TAKHwith youוּבָאתָu/VA/taand you shall comeאֶל־הַתֵּבָהel-hat/te/VAinto the arkאַתָּהat/TAyouוּבָנֶיךָu/va/NE/khaand your sonsוְאִשְׁתְּךָve/ish/te/KHAand your wifeוּנְשֵׁי־בָנֶיךָu/ne/SHE-va/NE/khaand the wives of your sonsאִתָּךְ׃it/TAKHwith you

    But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons' wives with thee.

19. 19

    וּמִכׇּל־הָחַיu/mik/KOL-ha/CHAYand of every living thingמִכׇּל־בָּשָׂרmik/KOL-ba/SARof all fleshשְׁנַיִםshe/NA/yimtwoמִכֹּלmik/KOLof everyתָּבִיאta/VIyou shall bringאֶל־הַתֵּבָהel-hat/te/VAinto the arkלְהַחֲיֹתle/ha/cha/YOTto keep aliveאִתָּךְit/TAKHwith youזָכָרza/KHARmaleוּנְקֵבָהu/ne/ke/VAand femaleיִהְיוּ׃yih/YUthey shall be

    And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female.

20. 20

    מֵהָעוֹףme/ha/OFof the birdsלְמִינֵהוּle/mi/NE/huafter their kindוּמִן־הַבְּהֵמָהu/MIN-hab/be/he/MAand of the livestockלְמִינָהּle/mi/NAafter their kindמִכֹּלmik/KOLof everyרֶמֶשׂRE/mescreeping thing ofהָאֲדָמָהha/a/da/MAthe groundלְמִינֵהוּle/mi/NE/huafter its kindשְׁנַיִםshe/NA/yimtwoמִכֹּלmik/KOLof everyיָבֹאוּya/VO/ushall comeאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khato youלְהַחֲיוֹת׃le/ha/cha/YOTto be kept alive

    Of fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth after his kind, two of every sort shall come unto thee, to keep them alive.

21. 21

    וְאַתָּהve/at/TAand youקַח־לְךָkach-le/KHAtake for yourselfמִכׇּל־מַאֲכָלmik/KOL-ma/a/KHALof all foodאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיֵאָכֵלye/a/KHELis eatenוְאָסַפְתָּve/a/saf/TAand you shall gatherאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khato yourselfוְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall beלְךָle/KHAfor youוְלָהֶםve/la/HEMand for themלְאׇכְלָה׃le/okh/LAfor food

    And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten, and thou shalt gather it to thee; and it shall be for food for thee, and for them.

22. 22

    וַיַּעַשׂvay/YA/asthus didנֹחַNO/achNoahכְּכֹלke/KHOLaccording to allאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatצִוָּהtsiv/VAcommandedאֹתוֹo/TOhimאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodכֵּןkensoעָשָׂה׃a/SAhe did

    Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.
