Genesis 5 בְּרֵאשִׁית פרק ה׳

1. 1

   זֶהthis isסֵפֶרthe book ofתּוֹלְדֹתthe genealogy ofאָדָםAdamבְּיוֹםin the day thatבְּרֹאcreatedאֱלֹהִיםGodאָדָםmanבִּדְמוּתin the likeness ofאֱלֹהִיםGodעָשָׂהmadeאֹתוֹ׃him

   This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him;

2. 2

   זָכָרmaleוּנְקֵבָהand femaleבְּרָאָםHe created themוַיְבָרֶךְand He blessedאֹתָםthemוַיִּקְרָאand calledאֶת־שְׁמָםtheir nameאָדָםManבְּיוֹםin the dayהִבָּרְאָם׃they were created

   Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.

3. 3

   וַיְחִיand livedאָדָםAdamשְׁלֹשִׁיםthirtyוּמְאַתand a hundredשָׁנָהyearsוַיּוֹלֶדand begatבִּדְמוּתוֹin his own likenessכְּצַלְמוֹafter his imageוַיִּקְרָאand calledאֶת־שְׁמוֹhis nameשֵׁת׃Seth

   And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth:

   וַיִּהְיוּand wereיְמֵי־אָדָםthe days of Adamאַחֲרֵיafterהוֹלִידוֹhe had begottenאֶת־שֵׁתSethשְׁמֹנֶהeightמֵאֹתhundredשָׁנָהyearsוַיּוֹלֶדand begatבָּנִיםsonsוּבָנֹת׃and daughters

   And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters:

   וַיִּהְיוּso wereכׇּל־יְמֵיall the days ofאָדָםAdamאֲשֶׁר־חַיthat he livedתְּשַׁעnineמֵאוֹתhundredשָׁנָהyearsוּשְׁלֹשִׁיםand thirtyשָׁנָהyearsוַיָּמֹת׃and he died

   And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died.

   וַיְחִי־שֵׁתand lived Sethחָמֵשׁfiveשָׁנִיםyearsוּמְאַתand a hundredשָׁנָהyearsוַיּוֹלֶדand begatאֶת־אֱנוֹשׁ׃Enos

   And Seth lived an hundred and five years, and begat Enos:

   וַיְחִי־שֵׁתand lived Sethאַחֲרֵיafterהוֹלִידוֹhe begatאֶת־אֱנוֹשׁEnosשֶׁבַעsevenשָׁנִיםyearsוּשְׁמֹנֶהand eightמֵאוֹתhundredשָׁנָהyearsוַיּוֹלֶדand begatבָּנִיםsonsוּבָנוֹת׃and daughters

   And Seth lived after he begat Enos eight hundred and seven years, and begat sons and daughters:

8. 8

   וַיִּהְיוּso wereכׇּל־יְמֵי־שֵׁתall the days of Sethשְׁתֵּים־עֶשְׂרֵהtwelveשָׁנָהyearsוּתְשַׁעand nineמֵאוֹתhundredשָׁנָהyearsוַיָּמֹת׃and he died

   And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years: and he died.

9. 9

   וַיְחִיand livedאֱנוֹשׁEnosתִּשְׁעִיםninetyשָׁנָהyearsוַיּוֹלֶדand begatאֶת־קֵינָן׃Kenan

   And Enos lived ninety years, and begat Cainan:

10. 10

    וַיְחִיand livedאֱנוֹשׁEnosאַחֲרֵיafterהוֹלִידוֹhe begatאֶת־קֵינָןKenanחֲמֵשׁ־עֶשְׂרֵהfifteenשָׁנָהyearsוּשְׁמֹנֶהand eightמֵאוֹתhundredשָׁנָהyearsוַיּוֹלֶדand begatבָּנִיםsonsוּבָנוֹת׃and daughters

    And Enos lived after he begat Cainan eight hundred and fifteen years, and begat sons and daughters:

11. 11

    וַיִּהְיוּso wereכׇּל־יְמֵיall the days ofאֱנוֹשׁEnosחָמֵשׁfiveשָׁנִיםyearsוּתְשַׁעand nineמֵאוֹתhundredשָׁנָהyearsוַיָּמֹת׃and he died

    And all the days of Enos were nine hundred and five years: and he died.

12. 12

    וַיְחִיand livedקֵינָןKenanשִׁבְעִיםseventyשָׁנָהyearsוַיּוֹלֶדand begatאֶת־מַהֲלַלְאֵל׃Mahalaleel

    And Cainan lived seventy years, and begat Mahalaleel:

13. 13

    וַיְחִיand livedקֵינָןKenanאַחֲרֵיafterהוֹלִידוֹhe begatאֶת־מַהֲלַלְאֵלMahalaleelאַרְבָּעִיםfortyשָׁנָהyearsוּשְׁמֹנֶהand eightמֵאוֹתhundredשָׁנָהyearsוַיּוֹלֶדand begatבָּנִיםsonsוּבָנוֹת׃and daughters

    And Cainan lived after he begat Mahalaleel eight hundred and forty years, and begat sons and daughters:

14. 14

    וַיִּהְיוּso wereכׇּל־יְמֵיall the days ofקֵינָןKenanעֶשֶׂרtenשָׁנִיםyearsוּתְשַׁעand nineמֵאוֹתhundredשָׁנָהyearsוַיָּמֹת׃and he died

    And all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years: and he died.

15. 15

    וַיְחִיand livedמַהֲלַלְאֵלMahalaleelחָמֵשׁfiveשָׁנִיםyearsוְשִׁשִּׁיםand sixtyשָׁנָהyearsוַיּוֹלֶדand begatאֶת־יָרֶד׃Jared

    And Mahalaleel lived sixty and five years, and begat Jared:

16. 16

    וַיְחִיand livedמַהֲלַלְאֵלMahalaleelאַחֲרֵיafterהוֹלִידוֹhe begatאֶת־יֶרֶדJaredשְׁלֹשִׁיםthirtyשָׁנָהyearsוּשְׁמֹנֶהand eightמֵאוֹתhundredשָׁנָהyearsוַיּוֹלֶדand begatבָּנִיםsonsוּבָנוֹת׃and daughters

    And Mahalaleel lived after he begat Jared eight hundred and thirty years, and begat sons and daughters:

17. 17

    וַיִּהְיוּso wereכׇּל־יְמֵיall the days ofמַהֲלַלְאֵלMahalaleelחָמֵשׁfiveוְתִשְׁעִיםand ninetyשָׁנָהyearsוּשְׁמֹנֶהand eightמֵאוֹתhundredשָׁנָהyearsוַיָּמֹת׃and he died

    And all the days of Mahalaleel were eight hundred ninety and five years: and he died.

18. 18

    וַיְחִי־יֶרֶדand lived Jaredשְׁתַּיִםtwoוְשִׁשִּׁיםand sixtyשָׁנָהyearsוּמְאַתand a hundredשָׁנָהyearsוַיּוֹלֶדand begatאֶת־חֲנוֹךְ׃Enoch

    And Jared lived an hundred sixty and two years, and he begat Enoch:

19. 19

    וַיְחִי־יֶרֶדand lived Jaredאַחֲרֵיafterהוֹלִידוֹhe begatאֶת־חֲנוֹךְEnochשְׁמֹנֶהeightמֵאוֹתhundredשָׁנָהyearsוַיּוֹלֶדand begatבָּנִיםsonsוּבָנוֹת׃and daughters

    And Jared lived after he begat Enoch eight hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:

20. 20

    וַיִּהְיוּso wereכׇּל־יְמֵי־יֶרֶדall the days of Jaredשְׁתַּיִםtwoוְשִׁשִּׁיםand sixtyשָׁנָהyearsוּתְשַׁעand nineמֵאוֹתhundredשָׁנָהyearsוַיָּמֹת׃and he died

    And all the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty and two years: and he died.

21. 21

    וַיְחִיand livedחֲנוֹךְEnochחָמֵשׁfiveוְשִׁשִּׁיםand sixtyשָׁנָהyearsוַיּוֹלֶדand begatאֶת־מְתוּשָׁלַח׃Methuselah

    And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah:

22. 22

    וַיִּתְהַלֵּךְand walkedחֲנוֹךְEnochאֶת־הָאֱלֹהִיםwith Godאַחֲרֵיafterהוֹלִידוֹhe begatאֶת־מְתוּשֶׁלַחMethuselahשְׁלֹשׁthreeמֵאוֹתhundredשָׁנָהyearsוַיּוֹלֶדand begatבָּנִיםsonsוּבָנוֹת׃and daughters

    And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:

23. 23

    וַיְהִיso wereכׇּל־יְמֵיall the days ofחֲנוֹךְEnochחָמֵשׁfiveוְשִׁשִּׁיםand sixtyשָׁנָהyearsוּשְׁלֹשׁand threeמֵאוֹתhundredשָׁנָה׃years

    And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years:

24. 24

    וַיִּתְהַלֵּךְand walkedחֲנוֹךְEnochאֶת־הָאֱלֹהִיםwith Godוְאֵינֶנּוּand he was notכִּי־לָקַחfor tookאֹתוֹhimאֱלֹהִים׃God

    And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

25. 25

    וַיְחִיand livedמְתוּשֶׁלַחMethuselahשֶׁבַעsevenוּשְׁמֹנִיםand eightyשָׁנָהyearsוּמְאַתand a hundredשָׁנָהyearsוַיּוֹלֶדand begatאֶת־לָמֶךְ׃Lamech

    And Methuselah lived an hundred eighty and seven years, and begat Lamech:

26. 26

    וַיְחִיand livedמְתוּשֶׁלַחMethuselahאַחֲרֵיafterהוֹלִידוֹhe begatאֶת־לֶמֶךְLamechשְׁתַּיִםtwoוּשְׁמוֹנִיםand eightyשָׁנָהyearsוּשְׁבַעand sevenמֵאוֹתhundredשָׁנָהyearsוַיּוֹלֶדand begatבָּנִיםsonsוּבָנוֹת׃and daughters

    And Methuselah lived after he begat Lamech seven hundred eighty and two years, and begat sons and daughters:

27. 27

    וַיִּהְיוּso wereכׇּל־יְמֵיall the days ofמְתוּשֶׁלַחMethuselahתֵּשַׁעnineוְשִׁשִּׁיםand sixtyשָׁנָהyearsוּתְשַׁעand nineמֵאוֹתhundredשָׁנָהyearsוַיָּמֹת׃and he died

    And all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty and nine years: and he died.

28. 28

    וַיְחִי־לֶמֶךְand lived Lamechשְׁתַּיִםtwoוּשְׁמֹנִיםand eightyשָׁנָהyearsוּמְאַתand a hundredשָׁנָהyearsוַיּוֹלֶדand begatבֵּן׃a son

    And Lamech lived an hundred eighty and two years, and begat a son:

29. 29

    וַיִּקְרָאand calledאֶת־שְׁמוֹhis nameנֹחַNoahלֵאמֹרsayingזֶהthis oneיְנַחֲמֵנוּshall comfort usמִמַּעֲשֵׂנוּconcerning our workוּמֵעִצְּבוֹןand the toil ofיָדֵינוּour handsמִן־הָאֲדָמָהbecause of the groundאֲשֶׁרwhichאֵרְרָהּhas cursedיְהֹוָה׃the LORD

    And he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the LORD hath cursed.

30. 30

    וַיְחִי־לֶמֶךְand lived Lamechאַחֲרֵיafterהוֹלִידוֹhe begatאֶת־נֹחַNoahחָמֵשׁfiveוְתִשְׁעִיםand ninetyשָׁנָהyearsוַחֲמֵשׁand fiveמֵאֹתhundredשָׁנָהyearsוַיּוֹלֶדand begatבָּנִיםsonsוּבָנוֹת׃and daughters

    And Lamech lived after he begat Noah five hundred ninety and five years, and begat sons and daughters:

31. 31

    וַיְהִיso wereכׇּל־יְמֵי־לֶמֶךְall the days of Lamechשֶׁבַעsevenוְשִׁבְעִיםand seventyשָׁנָהyearsוּשְׁבַעand sevenמֵאוֹתhundredשָׁנָהyearsוַיָּמֹת׃and he died

    And all the days of Lamech were seven hundred seventy and seven years: and he died.

32. 32

    וַיְהִי־נֹחַand was Noahבֶּן־חֲמֵשׁfiveמֵאוֹתhundredשָׁנָהyears oldוַיּוֹלֶדand begatנֹחַNoahאֶת־שֵׁםShemאֶת־חָםHamוְאֶת־יָפֶת׃and Japheth

    And Noah was five hundred years old: and Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
