    זֶהzethis isסֵפֶרSE/ferthe book ofתּוֹלְדֹתtol/DOTthe generations ofאָדָםA/DAMAdamבְּיוֹםbe/YOMin the day thatבְּרֹאbe/ROcreatedאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodאָדָםa/DAMmanבִּדְמוּתbid/MUTin the likeness ofאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodעָשָׂהa/SAmadeאֹתוֹ׃o/TOhim

    This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him;

    זָכָרza/KHARmaleוּנְקֵבָהu/ne/ke/VAand femaleבְּרָאָםbe/ra/AMHe created themוַיְבָרֶךְvay/VA/rekhand He blessedאֹתָםo/TAMthemוַיִּקְרָאvay/yik/RAand calledאֶת־שְׁמָםet-she/MAMtheir nameאָדָםA/DAMManבְּיוֹםbe/YOMin the dayהִבָּרְאָם׃hib/ba/re/AMthey were created

    Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.

    And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth:

    And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters:

    And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died.

    וַיְחִי־שֵׁתvay/CHI-Shetand Seth livedחָמֵשׁcha/MESHfiveשָׁנִיםsha/NIMyearsוּמְאַתu/me/ATand a hundredשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsוַיּוֹלֶדvay/YO/ledand begatאֶת־אֱנוֹשׁ׃et-E/NOSHEnos

    And Seth lived an hundred and five years, and begat Enos:

    And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years: and he died.

    וַיְחִיvay/CHIand livedאֱנוֹשׁE/NOSHEnosתִּשְׁעִיםtish/IMninetyשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsוַיּוֹלֶדvay/YO/ledand begatאֶת־קֵינָן׃et-Ke/NANKenan

    And Enos lived ninety years, and begat Cainan:

    And all the days of Enos were nine hundred and five years: and he died.

    And Cainan lived seventy years, and begat Mahalaleel:

    וַיְחִיvay/CHIand livedקֵינָןKe/NANKenanאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterהוֹלִידוֹho/li/DOhe begatאֶת־מַהֲלַלְאֵלet-Ma/ha/lal/ELMahalaleelאַרְבָּעִיםar/ba/IMfortyשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsוּשְׁמֹנֶהu/she/mo/NEand eightמֵאוֹתme/OThundredשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsוַיּוֹלֶדvay/YO/ledand begatבָּנִיםba/NIMsonsוּבָנוֹת׃u/va/NOTand daughters

    And Cainan lived after he begat Mahalaleel eight hundred and forty years, and begat sons and daughters:

    And all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years: and he died.

    And Mahalaleel lived sixty and five years, and begat Jared:

    And all the days of Mahalaleel were eight hundred ninety and five years: and he died.

    וַיְחִי־יֶרֶדvay/CHI-YE/redand Jared livedשְׁתַּיִםSHTA/yimtwoוְשִׁשִּׁיםve/shish/SHIMand sixtyשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsוּמְאַתu/me/ATand a hundredשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsוַיּוֹלֶדvay/YO/ledand begatאֶת־חֲנוֹךְ׃et-Cha/NOKHEnoch

    And Jared lived an hundred sixty and two years, and he begat Enoch:

    וַיְחִי־יֶרֶדvay/CHI-YE/redand Jared livedאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterהוֹלִידוֹho/li/DOhe begatאֶת־חֲנוֹךְet-Cha/NOKHEnochשְׁמֹנֶהshe/mo/NEeightמֵאוֹתme/OThundredשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsוַיּוֹלֶדvay/YO/ledand begatבָּנִיםba/NIMsonsוּבָנוֹת׃u/va/NOTand daughters

    And Jared lived after he begat Enoch eight hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:

    And all the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty and two years: and he died.

    וַיְחִיvay/CHIand livedחֲנוֹךְCha/NOKHEnochחָמֵשׁcha/MESHfiveוְשִׁשִּׁיםve/shish/SHIMand sixtyשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsוַיּוֹלֶדvay/YO/ledand begatאֶת־מְתוּשָׁלַח׃et-Me/tu/SHA/lachMethuselah

    And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah:

    וַיִּתְהַלֵּךְvay/yit/hal/LEKHand walkedחֲנוֹךְCha/NOKHEnochאֶת־הָאֱלֹהִיםet-ha/e/lo/HIMwith Godאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterהוֹלִידוֹho/li/DOhe begatאֶת־מְתוּשֶׁלַחet-Me/tu/SHE/lachMethuselahשְׁלֹשׁshe/LOSHthreeמֵאוֹתme/OThundredשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsוַיּוֹלֶדvay/YO/ledand begatבָּנִיםba/NIMsonsוּבָנוֹת׃u/va/NOTand daughters

    And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand wereכׇּל־יְמֵיkol-ye/MEall the days ofחֲנוֹךְCha/NOKHEnochחָמֵשׁcha/MESHfiveוְשִׁשִּׁיםve/shish/SHIMand sixtyשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsוּשְׁלֹשׁu/she/LOSHand threeמֵאוֹתme/OThundredשָׁנָה׃sha/NAyears

    And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years:

  24. 24

    וַיִּתְהַלֵּךְvay/yit/hal/LEKHand walkedחֲנוֹךְCha/NOKHEnochאֶת־הָאֱלֹהִיםet-ha/e/lo/HIMwith Godוְאֵינֶנּוּve/e/NEN/nuand he was notכִּי־לָקַחki-la/KACHfor tookאֹתוֹo/TOhimאֱלֹהִים׃e/lo/HIMGod

    And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

  25. 25

    וַיְחִיvay/CHIand livedמְתוּשֶׁלַחMe/tu/SHE/lachMethuselahשֶׁבַעSHE/vasevenוּשְׁמֹנִיםu/she/mo/NIMand eightyשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsוּמְאַתu/me/ATand a hundredשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsוַיּוֹלֶדvay/YO/ledand begatאֶת־לָמֶךְ׃et-LA/mekhLamech

    And Methuselah lived an hundred eighty and seven years, and begat Lamech:

    And Methuselah lived after he begat Lamech seven hundred eighty and two years, and begat sons and daughters:

    וַיִּהְיוּvay/yih/YUand wereכׇּל־יְמֵיkol-ye/MEall the days ofמְתוּשֶׁלַחMe/tu/SHE/lachMethuselahתֵּשַׁעTE/shanineוְשִׁשִּׁיםve/shish/SHIMand sixtyשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsוּתְשַׁעu/te/SHAand nineמֵאוֹתme/OThundredשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsוַיָּמֹת׃vay/ya/MOTand he died

    And all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty and nine years: and he died.

    וַיְחִי־לֶמֶךְvay/CHI-LE/mekhand Lamech livedשְׁתַּיִםSHTA/yimtwoוּשְׁמֹנִיםu/she/mo/NIMand eightyשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsוּמְאַתu/me/ATand a hundredשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsוַיּוֹלֶדvay/YO/ledand begatבֵּן׃bena son

    And Lamech lived an hundred eighty and two years, and begat a son:

  29. 29

    וַיִּקְרָאvay/yik/RAand calledאֶת־שְׁמוֹet-she/MOhis nameנֹחַNO/achNoahלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingזֶהzethisיְנַחֲמֵנוּye/na/cha/ME/nushall comfort usמִמַּעֲשֵׂנוּmim/ma/a/SE/nuconcerning our workוּמֵעִצְּבוֹןu/me/its/tse/VONand from the sorrow ofיָדֵינוּya/DE/nuour handsמִן־הָאֲדָמָהmin-ha/a/da/MAbecause of the groundאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichאֵרְרָהּer/RAhas cursedיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    And he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the LORD hath cursed.

    וַיְחִי־לֶמֶךְvay/CHI-LE/mekhand Lamech livedאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterהוֹלִידוֹho/li/DOhe begatאֶת־נֹחַet-NO/achNoahחָמֵשׁcha/MESHfiveוְתִשְׁעִיםve/tish/IMand ninetyשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsוַחֲמֵשׁva/cha/MESHand fiveמֵאֹתme/OThundredשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsוַיּוֹלֶדvay/YO/ledand begatבָּנִיםba/NIMsonsוּבָנוֹת׃u/va/NOTand daughters

    And Lamech lived after he begat Noah five hundred ninety and five years, and begat sons and daughters:

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand wereכׇּל־יְמֵי־לֶמֶךְkol-Ye/ME-LE/mekhall the days of LamechשֶׁבַעSHE/vasevenוְשִׁבְעִיםve/shiv/IMand seventyשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsוּשְׁבַעu/she/VAand sevenמֵאוֹתme/OThundredשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsוַיָּמֹת׃vay/ya/MOTand he died

    And all the days of Lamech were seven hundred seventy and seven years: and he died.

    וַיְהִי־נֹחַvay/HI-NO/achand Noah wasבֶּן־חֲמֵשׁben-cha/MESHfiveמֵאוֹתme/OThundredשָׁנָהsha/NAyears oldוַיּוֹלֶדvay/YO/ledand begatנֹחַNO/achNoahאֶת־שֵׁםet-ShemShemאֶת־חָםet-ChamHamוְאֶת־יָפֶת׃ve/ET-YA/fetand Japheth

    And Noah was five hundred years old: and Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
