   And Jacob called unto his sons, and said, Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days.

   Gather yourselves together, and hear, ye sons of Jacob; and hearken unto Israel your father.

   רְאוּבֵןRe/u/VENReubenבְּכֹרִיbe/KHO/rimy firstbornאַתָּהat/TAyou areכֹּחִיko/CHImy mightוְרֵאשִׁיתve/re/SHITand the beginning ofאוֹנִיo/NImy strengthיֶתֶרYE/terthe excellency ofשְׂאֵתse/ETdignityוְיֶתֶרve/YE/terand the excellency ofעָז׃azpower

   Reuben, thou art my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power:

   פַּחַזPA/chazunstableכַּמַּיִםkam/MA/yimas waterאַל־תּוֹתַרal-to/TARyou shall not excelכִּיkibecauseעָלִיתָa/LI/tayou went upמִשְׁכְּבֵיmish/ke/VEto the bed ofאָבִיךָa/VI/khayour fatherאָזazthenחִלַּלְתָּchil/LAL/tayou defiled itיְצוּעִיye/tsu/Imy couchעָלָה׃a/LAhe went up

   Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel; because thou wentest up to thy father's bed; then defiledst thou it: he went up to my couch.

   שִׁמְעוֹןShim/ONSimeonוְלֵוִיve/Le/VIand Leviאַחִיםa/CHIMare brethrenכְּלֵיke/LEinstruments ofחָמָסcha/MASviolenceמְכֵרֹתֵיהֶם׃me/khe/ro/te/HEMare their swords

   Simeon and Levi are brethren; instruments of cruelty are in their habitations.

   בְּסֹדָםbe/so/DAMinto their secretאַל־תָּבֹאal-ta/VOcome notנַפְשִׁיnaf/SHImy soulבִּקְהָלָםbik/ha/LAMunto their assemblyאַל־תֵּחַדal-te/CHADbe not unitedכְּבֹדִיke/vo/DImy honorכִּיkiforבְאַפָּםve/ap/PAMin their angerהָרְגוּha/re/GUthey slewאִישׁisha manוּבִרְצֹנָםu/vir/tso/NAMand in their selfwillעִקְּרוּ־שׁוֹר׃ik/ke/RU-shorthey houghed an ox

   O my soul, come not thou into their secret; unto their assembly, mine honour, be not thou united: for in their anger they slew a man, and in their selfwill they digged down a wall.

   Cursed be their anger, for it was fierce; and their wrath, for it was cruel: I will divide them in Jacob, and scatter them in Israel.

   יְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahאַתָּהat/TAyouיוֹדוּךָyo/DU/khashall praise youאַחֶיךָa/CHE/khayour brethrenיָדְךָya/de/KHAyour hand shall beבְּעֹרֶףbe/O/refin the neck ofאֹיְבֶיךָoy/VE/khayour enemiesיִשְׁתַּחֲווּyish/ta/cha/VUshall bow downלְךָle/KHAto youבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofאָבִיךָ׃a/VI/khayour father

   Judah, thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise: thy hand shall be in the neck of thine enemies; thy father's children shall bow down before thee.

   גּוּרgura whelp ofאַרְיֵהar/YEa lionיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahמִטֶּרֶףmit/TE/reffrom the preyבְּנִיbe/NImy sonעָלִיתָa/LI/tayou are gone upכָּרַעka/RAhe stooped downרָבַץra/VATShe couchedכְּאַרְיֵהke/ar/YEas a lionוּכְלָבִיאu/khe/la/VIand as a lionessמִיmiwhoיְקִימֶנּוּ׃ye/ki/MEN/nushall rouse him up

   Judah is a lion's whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up?

    לֹא־יָסוּרlo-ya/SURshall not departשֵׁבֶטSHE/vetthe scepterמִיהוּדָהmI/hu/DAfrom Judahוּמְחֹקֵקu/me/cho/KEKnor the ruler's staffמִבֵּיןmib/BENfrom betweenרַגְלָיוrag/LAYVhis feetעַדaduntilכִּי־יָבֹאki-ya/VOthat shall comeשִׁילֹהShi/LOShilohוְלוֹve/LOand to himיִקְּהַתyik/ke/HATshall be the obedience ofעַמִּים׃am/MIMpeoples

    The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.

    אֹסְרִיos/RIbindingלַגֶּפֶןlag/GE/fento the vineעִירֹהi/ROhis foalוְלַשֹּׂרֵקָהve/las/so/re/KAand to the choice vineבְּנִיbe/NIthe colt ofאֲתֹנוֹa/to/NOhis she-donkeyכִּבֵּסkib/BEShe washedבַּיַּיִןbay/YA/yinin wineלְבֻשׁוֹle/vu/SHOhis garmentsוּבְדַם־עֲנָבִיםu/ve/DAM-a/na/VIMand in the blood of grapesסוּתֹה׃su/TOhis clothes

    Binding his foal unto the vine, and his ass's colt unto the choice vine; he washed his garments in wine, and his clothes in the blood of grapes:

12. 12

    חַכְלִילִיchakh/li/LIredעֵינַיִםe/NA/yimeyesמִיָּיִןmiy/YA/yinwith wineוּלְבֶן־שִׁנַּיִםu/le/VEN-shin/NA/yimand white of teethמֵחָלָב׃me/cha/LAVwith milk

    His eyes shall be red with wine, and his teeth white with milk.

13. 13

    זְבוּלֻןZe/vu/LUNZebulunלְחוֹףle/CHOFat the haven ofיַמִּיםyam/MIMthe seasיִשְׁכֹּןyish/KONshall dwellוְהוּאve/HUand he shall beלְחוֹףle/CHOFat the haven ofאֳנִיֹּתo/niy/YOTshipsוְיַרְכָתוֹve/yar/kha/TOand his borderעַל־צִידֹן׃al-Tsi/DONunto Zidon

    Zebulun shall dwell at the haven of the sea; and he shall be for an haven of ships; and his border shall be unto Zidon.

14. 14

    יִשָּׂשכָרYis/sash/KHARIssacharחֲמֹרcha/MORa donkey ofגָּרֶםGA/remstrong boneרֹבֵץro/VETScouchingבֵּיןbenbetweenהַמִּשְׁפְּתָיִם׃ham/mish/pe/TA/yimthe sheepfolds

    Issachar is a strong ass couching down between two burdens:

15. 15

    וַיַּרְאvay/YARand sawמְנֻחָהme/nu/CHArestכִּיkithatטוֹבtovit was goodוְאֶת־הָאָרֶץve/ET-ha/A/retsand the landכִּיkithatנָעֵמָהna/E/mait was pleasantוַיֵּטvay/YETand bowedשִׁכְמוֹshikh/MOhis shoulderלִסְבֹּלlis/BOLto bearוַיְהִיvay/HIand becameלְמַס־עֹבֵד׃le/MAS-o/VEDa servant unto tribute

    And he saw that rest was good, and the land that it was pleasant; and bowed his shoulder to bear, and became a servant unto tribute.

16. 16

    דָּןDanDanיָדִיןya/DINshall judgeעַמּוֹam/MOhis peopleכְּאַחַדke/a/CHADas one ofשִׁבְטֵיshiv/TEthe tribes ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

    Dan shall judge his people, as one of the tribes of Israel.

17. 17

    יְהִי־דָןYe/HI-danDan shall beנָחָשׁna/CHASHa serpentעֲלֵי־דֶרֶךְa/LE-DE/rekhby the wayשְׁפִיפֹןshe/fi/FONan adderעֲלֵי־אֹרַחa/LE-O/rachby the pathהַנֹּשֵׁךְhan/no/SHEKHthat bitesעִקְּבֵי־סוּסik/ke/VE-susthe heels of a horseוַיִּפֹּלvay/yip/POLso that fallsרֹכְבוֹrokh/VOhis riderאָחוֹר׃a/CHORbackward

    Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder in the path, that biteth the horse heels, so that his rider shall fall backward.

18. 18

    לִישׁוּעָתְךָli/shu/a/te/KHAfor your salvationקִוִּיתִיkiv/VI/tiI have waitedיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    I have waited for thy salvation, O LORD.

19. 19

    גָּדGadGadגְּדוּדge/DUDa troopיְגוּדֶנּוּye/gu/DEN/nushall overcome himוְהוּאve/HUand heיָגֻדya/GUDshall overcomeעָקֵב׃a/KEVat the last

    Gad, a troop shall overcome him: but he shall overcome at the last.

20. 20

    מֵאָשֵׁרme/A/SHERout of Asherשְׁמֵנָהshe/me/NAfat shall beלַחְמוֹlach/MOhis breadוְהוּאve/HUand heיִתֵּןyit/TENshall yieldמַעֲדַנֵּי־מֶלֶךְ׃ma/a/dan/NE-ME/lekhroyal dainties

    Out of Asher his bread shall be fat, and he shall yield royal dainties.

21. 21

    נַפְתָּלִיNaf/ta/LINaphtaliאַיָּלָהay/ya/LAa hindשְׁלֻחָהshe/lu/CHAlet looseהַנֹּתֵןhan/no/TENhe givesאִמְרֵי־שָׁפֶר׃im/RE-SHA/fergoodly words

    Naphtali is a hind let loose: he giveth goodly words.

22. 22

    בֵּןbena sonפֹּרָתpo/RATfruitfulיוֹסֵףYo/SEFJosephבֵּןbena sonפֹּרָתpo/RATfruitfulעֲלֵי־עָיִןa/LE-A/yinby a wellבָּנוֹתba/NOTwhose branchesצָעֲדָהtsa/a/DArunעֲלֵי־שׁוּר׃a/LE-shurover the wall

    Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well; whose branches run over the wall:

23. 23

    וַיְמָרְרֻהוּvay/ma/re/RU/huand they embittered himוָרֹבּוּva/ROB/buand shot at himוַיִּשְׂטְמֻהוּvay/yis/te/MU/huand hated himבַּעֲלֵיba/a/LEthe masters ofחִצִּים׃chits/TSIMarrows

    The archers have sorely grieved him, and shot at him, and hated him:

24. 24

    וַתֵּשֶׁבvat/TE/shevbut abodeבְּאֵיתָןbe/e/TANin strengthקַשְׁתּוֹkash/TOhis bowוַיָּפֹזּוּvay/ya/FOZ/zuand were made strongזְרֹעֵיze/ro/Ethe arms ofיָדָיוya/DAYVhis handsמִידֵיMI/deby the hands ofאֲבִירA/VIRthe Mighty One ofיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVJacobמִשָּׁםmish/SHAMfrom there isרֹעֶהRo/Ethe ShepherdאֶבֶןE/venthe Stone ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

    But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel:)

25. 25

    מֵאֵלme/ELby the God ofאָבִיךָa/VI/khayour fatherוְיַעְזְרֶךָּve/ya/ze/REK/kawho shall help youוְאֵתve/ETand byשַׁדַּיShad/DAYthe Almightyוִיבָרְכֶךָּvi/va/re/KHEK/kawho shall bless youבִּרְכֹתbir/KHOTwith blessings ofשָׁמַיִםsha/MA/yimheavenמֵעָלme/ALaboveבִּרְכֹתbir/KHOTwith blessings ofתְּהוֹםte/HOMthe deepרֹבֶצֶתro/VE/tsetthat liesתָּחַתTA/chatbeneathבִּרְכֹתbir/KHOTwith blessings ofשָׁדַיִםsha/DA/yimbreastsוָרָחַם׃va/RA/chamand womb

    Even by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb:

26. 26

    בִּרְכֹתbir/KHOTblessings ofאָבִיךָa/VI/khayour fatherגָּבְרוּga/ve/RUhave prevailedעַל־בִּרְכֹתal-bir/KHOTabove the blessings ofהוֹרַיho/RAYmy progenitorsעַד־תַּאֲוַתad-ta/a/VATunto the utmost bound ofגִּבְעֹתgiv/OTthe hills ofעוֹלָםo/LAMeverlastingתִּהְיֶיןָtih/YE/nathey shall beלְרֹאשׁle/ROSHon the head ofיוֹסֵףYo/SEFJosephוּלְקׇדְקֹדu/le/kod/KODand on the crown of the head ofנְזִירne/ZIRhim that was separate fromאֶחָיו׃e/CHAYVhis brethren

    The blessings of thy father have prevailed above the blessings of my progenitors unto the utmost bound of the everlasting hills: they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that was separate from his brethren.

27. 27

    בִּנְיָמִיןBin/ya/MINBenjaminזְאֵבze/EVa wolfיִטְרָףyit/RAFthat ravinsבַּבֹּקֶרbab/BO/kerin the morningיֹאכַלyo/KHALhe shall eatעַדadthe preyוְלָעֶרֶבve/la/E/revand at eveningיְחַלֵּקye/chal/LEKhe shall divideשָׁלָל׃sha/LALthe spoil

    Benjamin shall ravin as a wolf: in the morning he shall devour the prey, and at night he shall divide the spoil.

28. 28

    כׇּל־אֵלֶּהkol-EL/leall theseשִׁבְטֵיshiv/TEthe tribes ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelשְׁנֵים־עָשָׂרshe/NEM-a/SARtwelveוְזֹאתve/ZOTand thisאֲשֶׁר־דִּבֶּרa/SHER-dib/BERthat spokeלָהֶםla/HEMto themאֲבִיהֶםa/vi/HEMtheir fatherוַיְבָרֶךְvay/VA/rekhand blessedאוֹתָםo/TAMthemאִישׁishevery oneאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichכְּבִרְכָתוֹke/vir/kha/TOaccording to his blessingבֵּרַךְbe/RAKHblessedאֹתָם׃o/TAMthem

    All these are the twelve tribes of Israel: and this is it that their father spake unto them, and blessed them; every one according to his blessing he blessed them.

29. 29

    וַיְצַוvay/TSAVand commandedאוֹתָםo/TAMthemוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵהֶםa/le/HEMto themאֲנִיa/NIIנֶאֱסָףne/e/SAFam to be gatheredאֶל־עַמִּיel-am/MIto my peopleקִבְרוּkiv/RUburyאֹתִיo/TImeאֶל־אֲבֹתָיel-a/vo/TAYwith my fathersאֶל־הַמְּעָרָהel-ham/me/a/RAto the caveאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat isבִּשְׂדֵהbis/DEin the field ofעֶפְרוֹןEf/RONEphronהַחִתִּי׃ha/Chit/TIthe Hittite

    And he charged them, and said unto them, I am to be gathered unto my people: bury me with my fathers in the cave that is in the field of Ephron the Hittite,

30. 30

    בַּמְּעָרָהbam/me/a/RAin the caveאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichבִּשְׂדֵהbis/DEin the field ofהַמַּכְפֵּלָהHam/makh/pe/LAMachpelahאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichעַל־פְּנֵי־מַמְרֵאal-Pe/NE-mam/REbefore Mamreבְּאֶרֶץbe/E/retsin the land ofכְּנָעַןKe/NA/anCanaanאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichקָנָהka/NAboughtאַבְרָהָםAv/ra/HAMAbrahamאֶת־הַשָּׂדֶהet-has/sa/DEthe fieldמֵאֵתme/ETfromעֶפְרֹןEf/RONEphronהַחִתִּיha/Chit/TIthe Hittiteלַאֲחֻזַּת־קָבֶר׃la/a/chuz/ZAT-KA/verfor a possession of a buryingplace

    In the cave that is in the field of Machpelah, which is before Mamre, in the land of Canaan, which Abraham bought with the field of Ephron the Hittite for a possession of a buryingplace.

31. 31

    שָׁמָּהSHAM/mathereקָבְרוּka/ve/RUthey buriedאֶת־אַבְרָהָםet-Av/ra/HAMAbrahamוְאֵתve/ETandשָׂרָהSa/RASarahאִשְׁתּוֹish/TOhis wifeשָׁמָּהSHAM/mathereקָבְרוּka/ve/RUthey buriedאֶת־יִצְחָקet-Yits/CHAKIsaacוְאֵתve/ETandרִבְקָהRiv/KARebekahאִשְׁתּוֹish/TOhis wifeוְשָׁמָּהve/SHAM/maand thereקָבַרְתִּיka/VAR/tiI buriedאֶת־לֵאָה׃et-Le/ALeah

    There they buried Abraham and Sarah his wife; there they buried Isaac and Rebekah his wife; and there I buried Leah.

32. 32

    מִקְנֵהmik/NEthe purchase ofהַשָּׂדֶהhas/sa/DEthe fieldוְהַמְּעָרָהve/ham/me/a/RAand the caveאֲשֶׁר־בּוֹa/SHER-bothat is in itמֵאֵתme/ETfromבְּנֵי־חֵת׃be/NE-chetthe children of Heth

    The purchase of the field and of the cave that is therein was from the children of Heth.

33. 33

    וַיְכַלvay/KHALand when had made an end ofיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVJacobלְצַוֺּתle/tsav/VOTcommandingאֶת־בָּנָיוet-ba/NAYVhis sonsוַיֶּאֱסֹףvay/ye/e/SOFand gatheredרַגְלָיוrag/LAYVhis feetאֶל־הַמִּטָּהel-ham/mit/TAto the bedוַיִּגְוַעvay/yig/VAand gave up the ghostוַיֵּאָסֶףvay/ye/A/sefand was gatheredאֶל־עַמָּיו׃el-am/MAYVto his people

    And when Jacob had made an end of commanding his sons, he gathered up his feet into the bed, and yielded up the ghost, and was gathered unto his people.
