   And Israel took his journey with all that he had, and came to Beer-sheba, and offered sacrifices unto the God of his father Isaac.

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodלְיִשְׂרָאֵלle/Yis/ra/ELto Israelבְּמַרְאֹתbe/mar/OTin the visions ofהַלַּיְלָהhal/LAY/lathe nightוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVJacobיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVJacobוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidהִנֵּנִי׃hin/NE/nihere am I

   And God spake unto Israel in the visions of the night, and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, Here am I.

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIהָאֵלha/ELGodאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofאָבִיךָa/VI/khayour fatherאַל־תִּירָאal-ti/RAfear notמֵרְדָהmer/DAto go downמִצְרַיְמָהMits/RAY/mato Egyptכִּי־לְגוֹיki-le/GOYfor into a nationגָּדוֹלga/DOLgreatאֲשִׂימְךָa/si/me/KHAwill I make youשָׁם׃shamthere

   And he said, I am God, the God of thy father: fear not to go down into Egypt; for I will there make of thee a great nation:

   אָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIאֵרֵדe/REDwill go downעִמְּךָim/me/KHAwith youמִצְרַיְמָהMits/RAY/mato Egyptוְאָנֹכִיve/a/no/KHIand Iאַעַלְךָa/al/KHAwill bring you upגַם־עָלֹהgam-a/LOalso bring upוְיוֹסֵףve/Yo/SEFand Josephיָשִׁיתya/SHITshall putיָדוֹya/DOhis handעַל־עֵינֶיךָ׃al-e/NE/khaupon your eyes

   I will go down with thee into Egypt; and I will also surely bring thee up again: and Joseph shall put his hand upon thine eyes.

   And Jacob rose up from Beer-sheba: and the sons of Israel carried Jacob their father, and their little ones, and their wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him.

   וַיִּקְחוּvay/yik/CHUand they tookאֶת־מִקְנֵיהֶםet-mik/ne/HEMtheir livestockוְאֶת־רְכוּשָׁםve/ET-re/khu/SHAMand their goodsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichרָכְשׁוּra/khe/SHUthey had gottenבְּאֶרֶץbe/E/retsin the land ofכְּנַעַןKe/NA/anCanaanוַיָּבֹאוּvay/ya/VO/uand they cameמִצְרָיְמָהMits/RAY/mato EgyptיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVJacobוְכׇל־זַרְעוֹve/KHOL-zar/Oand all his seedאִתּוֹ׃it/TOwith him

   And they took their cattle, and their goods, which they had gotten in the land of Canaan, and came into Egypt, Jacob, and all his seed with him:

   His sons, and his sons' sons with him, his daughters, and his sons' daughters, and all his seed brought he with him into Egypt.

   וְאֵלֶּהve/EL/leand theseשְׁמוֹתshe/MOTthe names ofבְּנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵלbe/NE-yis/ra/ELthe children of Israelהַבָּאִיםhab/ba/IMwho cameמִצְרַיְמָהMits/RAY/mato EgyptיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVJacobוּבָנָיוu/va/NAYVand his sonsבְּכֹרbe/KHORthe firstborn ofיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVJacobרְאוּבֵן׃Re/u/VENReuben

   And these are the names of the children of Israel, which came into Egypt, Jacob and his sons: Reuben, Jacob's firstborn.

   And the sons of Reuben; Hanoch, and Phallu, and Hezron, and Carmi.

    וּבְנֵיu/ve/NEand the sons ofשִׁמְעוֹןShim/ONSimeonיְמוּאֵלYe/mu/ELJemuelוְיָמִיןve/Ya/MINand Jaminוְאֹהַדve/O/hadand Ohadוְיָכִיןve/Ya/KHINand Jachinוְצֹחַרve/TSO/charand Zoharוְשָׁאוּלve/Sha/ULand Shaulבֶּן־הַכְּנַעֲנִית׃ben-Hak/ke/na/a/NITson of the Canaanite woman

    And the sons of Simeon; Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Shaul the son of a Canaanitish woman.

    וּבְנֵיu/ve/NEand the sons ofלֵוִיLe/VILeviגֵּרְשׁוֹןGer/SHONGershonקְהָתKe/HATKohathוּמְרָרִי׃u/Me/ra/RIand Merari

    And the sons of Levi; Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.

    וּבְנֵיu/ve/NEand the sons ofיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahעֵרErErוְאוֹנָןve/O/NANand Onanוְשֵׁלָהve/She/LAand Shelahוָפֶרֶץva/FE/retsand Perezוָזָרַחva/ZA/rachand Zerahוַיָּמׇתvay/YA/motand diedעֵרErErוְאוֹנָןve/O/NANand Onanבְּאֶרֶץbe/E/retsin the land ofכְּנַעַןKe/NA/anCanaanוַיִּהְיוּvay/yih/YUand wereבְנֵי־פֶרֶץve/NE-FE/retsthe sons of PerezחֶצְרֹןChets/RONHezronוְחָמוּל׃ve/Cha/MULand Hamul

    And the sons of Judah; Er, and Onan, and Shelah, and Pharez, and Zerah: but Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan. And the sons of Pharez were Hezron and Hamul.

    וּבְנֵיu/ve/NEand the sons ofיִשָּׂשכָרYis/sash/KHARIssacharתּוֹלָעTo/LATolaוּפֻוָהu/Fu/VAand Puahוְיוֹבve/YOVand Iobוְשִׁמְרֹן׃ve/Shim/RONand Shimron

    And the sons of Issachar; Tola, and Phuvah, and Job, and Shimron.

14. 14

    וּבְנֵיu/ve/NEand the sons ofזְבֻלוּןZe/vu/LUNZebulunסֶרֶדSE/redSeredוְאֵלוֹןve/E/LONand Elonוְיַחְלְאֵל׃ve/Yach/le/ELand Jahleel

    And the sons of Zebulun; Sered, and Elon, and Jahleel.

15. 15

    אֵלֶּהEL/letheseבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofלֵאָהLe/ALeahאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomיָלְדָהya/le/DAshe boreלְיַעֲקֹבle/Ya/a/KOVto Jacobבְּפַדַּןbe/Fad/DANin Padan-אֲרָםa/RAMaramוְאֵתve/ETandדִּינָהDi/NADinahבִתּוֹvit/TOhis daughterכׇּל־נֶפֶשׁkol-NE/feshall the soulsבָּנָיוba/NAYVhis sonsוּבְנוֹתָיוu/ve/no/TAYVand his daughtersשְׁלֹשִׁיםshe/lo/SHIMthirtyוְשָׁלֹשׁ׃ve/sha/LOSHand three

    These be the sons of Leah, which she bare unto Jacob in Padan-aram, with his daughter Dinah: all the souls of his sons and his daughters were thirty and three.

    And the sons of Gad; Ziphion, and Haggi, Shuni, and Ezbon, Eri, and Arodi, and Areli.

    וּבְנֵיu/ve/NEand the sons ofאָשֵׁרA/SHERAsherיִמְנָהYim/NAJimnahוְיִשְׁוָהve/Yish/VAand Ishuahוְיִשְׁוִיve/Yish/VIand Isuiוּבְרִיעָהu/ve/Ri/Aand Beriahוְשֶׂרַחve/SE/rachand Serahאֲחֹתָםa/cho/TAMtheir sisterוּבְנֵיu/ve/NEand the sons ofבְרִיעָהVe/ri/ABeriahחֶבֶרCHE/verHeberוּמַלְכִּיאֵל׃u/Mal/ki/ELand Malchiel

    And the sons of Asher; Jimnah, and Ishuah, and Isui, and Beriah, and Serah their sister: and the sons of Beriah; Heber, and Malchiel.

    אֵלֶּהEL/letheseבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofזִלְפָּהZil/PAZilpahאֲשֶׁר־נָתַןa/SHER-na/TANwhom gaveלָבָןLa/VANLabanלְלֵאָהle/Le/Ato Leahבִתּוֹvit/TOhis daughterוַתֵּלֶדvat/TE/ledand boreאֶת־אֵלֶּהet-EL/letheseלְיַעֲקֹבle/Ya/a/KOVto Jacobשֵׁשׁ־עֶשְׂרֵהshesh-es/REsixteenנָפֶשׁ׃NA/feshsouls

    These are the sons of Zilpah, whom Laban gave to Leah his daughter, and these she bare unto Jacob, even sixteen souls.

19. 19

    בְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofרָחֵלRa/CHELRachelאֵשֶׁתE/shetthe wife ofיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVJacobיוֹסֵףYo/SEFJosephוּבִנְיָמִן׃u/Vin/ya/MINand Benjamin

    The sons of Rachel Jacob's wife; Joseph, and Benjamin.

20. 20

    וַיִּוָּלֵדvay/yiv/va/LEDand were bornלְיוֹסֵףle/Yo/SEFto Josephבְּאֶרֶץbe/E/retsin the land ofמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomיָלְדָה־לּוֹya/le/DA-lobore to himאָסְנַתA/se/NATAsenathבַּת־פּוֹטִיbat-PO/tithe daughter of Poti-פֶרַעFE/rapherahכֹּהֵןko/HENpriest ofאֹןonOnאֶת־מְנַשֶּׁהet-Me/nash/SHEManassehוְאֶת־אֶפְרָיִם׃ve/ET-ef/RA/yimand Ephraim

    And unto Joseph in the land of Egypt were born Manasseh and Ephraim, which Asenath the daughter of Poti-pherah priest of On bare unto him.

21. 21

    וּבְנֵיu/ve/NEand the sons ofבִנְיָמִןVin/ya/MINBenjaminבֶּלַעBE/laBelaוָבֶכֶרva/VE/kherand Becherוְאַשְׁבֵּלve/Ash/BELand AshbelגֵּרָאGe/RAGeraוְנַעֲמָןve/Na/a/MANand NaamanאֵחִיE/CHIEhiוָרֹאשׁva/ROSHand RoshמֻפִּיםMup/PIMMuppimוְחֻפִּיםve/Chup/PIMand Huppimוָאָרְדְּ׃va/ORDand Ard

    And the sons of Benjamin were Belah, and Becher, and Ashbel, Gera, and Naaman, Ehi, and Rosh, Muppim, and Huppim, and Ard.

22. 22

    אֵלֶּהEL/letheseבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofרָחֵלRa/CHELRachelאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoיֻלַּדyul/LADwere bornלְיַעֲקֹבle/Ya/a/KOVto Jacobכׇּל־נֶפֶשׁkol-NE/feshall the soulsאַרְבָּעָה־עָשָׂר׃ar/ba/A-a/SARfourteen

    These are the sons of Rachel, which were born to Jacob: all the souls were fourteen.

23. 23

    וּבְנֵי־דָןu/ve/NE-danand the sons of Danחֻשִׁים׃Chu/SHIMHushim

    And the sons of Dan; Hushim.

24. 24

    וּבְנֵיu/ve/NEand the sons ofנַפְתָּלִיNaf/ta/LINaphtaliיַחְצְאֵלYach/tse/ELJahzeelוְגוּנִיve/Gu/NIand Guniוְיֵצֶרve/YE/tserand Jezerוְשִׁלֵּם׃ve/Shil/LEMand Shillem

    And the sons of Naphtali; Jahzeel, and Guni, and Jezer, and Shillem.

25. 25

    אֵלֶּהEL/letheseבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofבִלְהָהVil/HABilhahאֲשֶׁר־נָתַןa/SHER-na/TANwhom gaveלָבָןLa/VANLabanלְרָחֵלle/Ra/CHELto Rachelבִּתּוֹbit/TOhis daughterוַתֵּלֶדvat/TE/ledand boreאֶת־אֵלֶּהet-EL/letheseלְיַעֲקֹבle/Ya/a/KOVto Jacobכׇּל־נֶפֶשׁkol-NE/feshall the soulsשִׁבְעָה׃shiv/Aseven

    These are the sons of Bilhah, which Laban gave unto Rachel his daughter, and she bare these unto Jacob: all the souls were seven.

26. 26

    כׇּל־הַנֶּפֶשׁkol-han/NE/feshall the soulsהַבָּאָהhab/BA/athat cameלְיַעֲקֹבle/Ya/a/KOVwith JacobמִצְרַיְמָהMits/RAY/mato Egyptיֹצְאֵיyots/Ewho came out ofיְרֵכוֹye/re/KHOhis loinsמִלְּבַדmil/le/VADbesidesנְשֵׁיne/SHEthe wives ofבְנֵי־יַעֲקֹבVe/NE-ya/a/KOVJacob's sonsכׇּל־נֶפֶשׁkol-NE/feshall the soulsשִׁשִּׁיםshish/SHIMsixtyוָשֵׁשׁ׃va/SHESHand six

    All the souls that came with Jacob into Egypt, which came out of his loins, besides Jacob's sons' wives, all the souls were threescore and six;

27. 27

    וּבְנֵיu/ve/NEand the sons ofיוֹסֵףYo/SEFJosephאֲשֶׁר־יֻלַּד־לוֹa/SHER-yul/LAD-lowho were born to himבְמִצְרַיִםve/Mits/RA/yimin EgyptנֶפֶשׁNE/feshsoulsשְׁנָיִםshe/NA/yimtwoכׇּל־הַנֶּפֶשׁkol-han/NE/feshall the souls ofלְבֵית־יַעֲקֹבle/VET-ya/a/KOVthe house of Jacobהַבָּאָהhab/BA/athat cameמִצְרַיְמָהMits/RAY/mato Egyptשִׁבְעִים׃shiv/IMseventy

    And the sons of Joseph, which were born him in Egypt, were two souls: all the souls of the house of Jacob, which came into Egypt, were threescore and ten.

    וְאֶת־יְהוּדָהve/ET-ye/hu/DAand Judahשָׁלַחsha/LACHsentלְפָנָיוle/fa/NAYVbefore himאֶל־יוֹסֵףel-Yo/SEFto Josephלְהוֹרֹתle/ho/ROTto directלְפָנָיוle/fa/NAYVbefore himגֹּשְׁנָהGOSH/nato Goshenוַיָּבֹאוּvay/ya/VO/uand they cameאַרְצָהAR/tsainto the land ofגֹּשֶׁן׃GO/shenGoshen

    And he sent Judah before him unto Joseph, to direct his face unto Goshen; and they came into the land of Goshen.

29. 29

    וַיֶּאְסֹרvay/ye/SORand made readyיוֹסֵףYo/SEFJosephמֶרְכַּבְתּוֹmer/kav/TOhis chariotוַיַּעַלvay/YA/aland went upלִקְרַאת־יִשְׂרָאֵלlik/RAT-Yis/ra/ELto meet Israelאָבִיוa/VIVhis fatherגֹּשְׁנָהGOSH/nato Goshenוַיֵּרָאvay/ye/RAand presented himselfאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himוַיִּפֹּלvay/yip/POLand fellעַל־צַוָּארָיוal-tsav/va/RAYVupon his neckוַיֵּבְךְּvay/YEVKand weptעַל־צַוָּארָיוal-tsav/va/RAYVupon his neckעוֹד׃oda good while

    And Joseph made ready his chariot, and went up to meet Israel his father, to Goshen, and presented himself unto him; and he fell on his neck, and wept on his neck a good while.

30. 30

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelאֶל־יוֹסֵףel-Yo/SEFto Josephאָמוּתָהa/MU/talet me dieהַפָּעַםhap/PA/amnowאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterרְאוֹתִיre/o/TII have seenאֶת־פָּנֶיךָet-pa/NE/khayour faceכִּיkibecauseעוֹדְךָod/KHAyou are yetחָי׃chayalive

    And Israel said unto Joseph, Now let me die, since I have seen thy face, because thou art yet alive.

31. 31

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיוֹסֵףYo/SEFJosephאֶל־אֶחָיוel-e/CHAYVto his brethrenוְאֶל־בֵּיתve/EL-betand to the house ofאָבִיוa/VIVhis fatherאֶעֱלֶהe/e/LEI will go upוְאַגִּידָהve/ag/GI/daand tellלְפַרְעֹהLe/far/OPharaohוְאֹמְרָהve/om/RAand sayאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himאַחַיa/CHAYmy brethrenוּבֵית־אָבִיu/VET-a/VIand my father's houseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwho wereבְּאֶרֶץ־כְּנַעַןbe/E/rets-ke/NA/anin the land of CanaanבָּאוּBA/uare comeאֵלָי׃e/LAYto me

    And Joseph said unto his brethren, and unto his father's house, I will go up, and shew Pharaoh, and say unto him, My brethren, and my father's house, which were in the land of Canaan, are come unto me;

32. 32

    וְהָאֲנָשִׁיםve/ha/a/na/SHIMand the menרֹעֵיro/Eare shepherds ofצֹאןtsonflocksכִּי־אַנְשֵׁיki-an/SHEfor men ofמִקְנֶהmik/NElivestockהָיוּha/YUwereוְצֹאנָםve/tso/NAMand their flocksוּבְקָרָםu/ve/ka/RAMand their herdsוְכׇל־אֲשֶׁרve/KHOL-a/SHERand all thatלָהֶםla/HEMthey haveהֵבִיאוּ׃he/VI/uthey have brought

    And the men are shepherds, for their trade hath been to feed cattle; and they have brought their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have.

33. 33

    וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall come to passכִּי־יִקְרָאki-yik/RAwhen shall callלָכֶםla/KHEMyouפַּרְעֹהPar/OPharaohוְאָמַרve/a/MARand shall sayמַה־מַּעֲשֵׂיכֶם׃ma-ma/a/se/KHEMwhat is your occupation

    And it shall come to pass, when Pharaoh shall call you, and shall say, What is your occupation?

34. 34

    וַאֲמַרְתֶּםva/a/mar/TEMand you shall sayאַנְשֵׁיan/SHEmen ofמִקְנֶהmik/NElivestockהָיוּha/YUwereעֲבָדֶיךָa/va/DE/khayour servantsמִנְּעוּרֵינוּmin/ne/u/RE/nufrom our youthוְעַד־עַתָּהve/AD-AT/taeven until nowגַּם־אֲנַחְנוּgam-a/NACH/nuboth weגַּם־אֲבֹתֵינוּgam-a/vo/TE/nuand our fathersבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURthatתֵּשְׁבוּtesh/VUyou shall dwellבְּאֶרֶץbe/E/retsin the land ofגֹּשֶׁןGO/shenGoshenכִּי־תוֹעֲבַתki-to/a/VATfor an abomination toמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimthe Egyptiansכׇּל־רֹעֵהkol-RO/eis every shepherd ofצֹאן׃tsonflocks

    That ye shall say, Thy servants' trade hath been about cattle from our youth even until now, both we, and also our fathers: that ye may dwell in the land of Goshen; for every shepherd is an abomination unto the Egyptians.
