   Then Joseph could not refrain himself before all them that stood by him; and he cried, Cause every man to go out from me. And there stood no man with him, while Joseph made himself known unto his brethren.

   וַיִּתֵּןvay/yit/TENand he gave forthאֶת־קֹלוֹet-ko/LOhis voiceבִּבְכִיbiv/KHIin weepingוַיִּשְׁמְעוּvay/yish/me/Uand heardמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimthe Egyptiansוַיִּשְׁמַעvay/yish/MAand heardבֵּיתbetthe house ofפַּרְעֹה׃Par/OPharaoh

   And he wept aloud: and the Egyptians and the house of Pharaoh heard.

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיוֹסֵףYo/SEFJosephאֶל־אֶחָיוel-e/CHAYVto his brethrenאֲנִיa/NIIיוֹסֵףYo/SEFJosephהַעוֹדha/ODis there yetאָבִיa/VImy fatherחָיchayaliveוְלֹא־יָכְלוּve/LO-ya/khe/LUand could notאֶחָיוe/CHAYVhis brethrenלַעֲנוֹתla/a/NOTto answerאֹתוֹo/TOhimכִּיkiforנִבְהֲלוּniv/ha/LUthey were troubledמִפָּנָיו׃mip/pa/NAYVat his presence

   And Joseph said unto his brethren, I am Joseph; doth my father yet live? And his brethren could not answer him; for they were troubled at his presence.

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיוֹסֵףYo/SEFJosephאֶל־אֶחָיוel-e/CHAYVto his brethrenגְּשׁוּ־נָאge/SHU-nacome near I prayאֵלַיe/LAYto meוַיִּגָּשׁוּvay/yig/GA/shuand they came nearוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲנִיa/NIIיוֹסֵףYo/SEFJosephאֲחִיכֶםa/chi/KHEMyour brotherאֲשֶׁר־מְכַרְתֶּםa/SHER-me/khar/TEMwhom you soldאֹתִיo/TImeמִצְרָיְמָה׃Mits/RAY/mato Egypt

   And Joseph said unto his brethren, Come near to me, I pray you. And they came near. And he said, I am Joseph your brother, whom ye sold into Egypt.

   וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowאַל־תֵּעָצְבוּal-te/a/tse/VUbe not grievedוְאַל־יִחַרve/AL-YI/charnor let it burnבְּעֵינֵיכֶםbe/e/ne/KHEMin your eyesכִּי־מְכַרְתֶּםki-me/khar/TEMthat you soldאֹתִיo/TImeהֵנָּהHEN/nahitherכִּיkiforלְמִחְיָהle/mich/YAto preserve lifeשְׁלָחַנִיshe/la/CHA/nidid send meאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodלִפְנֵיכֶם׃lif/ne/KHEMbefore you

   Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life.

6. 6

   כִּי־זֶהki-zefor theseשְׁנָתַיִםshe/na/TA/yimtwo yearsהָרָעָבha/ra/AVthe famineבְּקֶרֶבbe/KE/revin the midst ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe landוְעוֹדve/ODand yetחָמֵשׁcha/MESHfiveשָׁנִיםsha/NIMyearsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERin whichאֵין־חָרִישׁen-cha/RISHthere shall be neither plowingוְקָצִיר׃ve/ka/TSIRnor harvest

   For these two years hath the famine been in the land: and yet there are five years, in the which there shall neither be earing nor harvest.

   וַיִּשְׁלָחֵנִיvay/yish/la/CHE/niand has sent meאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodלִפְנֵיכֶםlif/ne/KHEMbefore youלָשׂוּםla/SUMto preserveלָכֶםla/KHEMfor youשְׁאֵרִיתshe/e/RITa remnantבָּאָרֶץba/A/retsin the earthוּלְהַחֲיוֹתu/le/ha/cha/YOTand to save aliveלָכֶםla/KHEMfor youלִפְלֵיטָהlif/le/TAfor a deliveranceגְּדֹלָה׃ge/do/LAgreat

   And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance.

   וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowלֹא־אַתֶּםlo-at/TEMnot youשְׁלַחְתֶּםshe/lach/TEMsentאֹתִיo/TImeהֵנָּהHEN/nahitherכִּיkibutהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodוַיְשִׂימֵנִיvay/si/ME/niand He has made meלְאָבle/AVa fatherלְפַרְעֹהle/Far/Oto Pharaohוּלְאָדוֹןu/le/a/DONand lordלְכׇל־בֵּיתוֹle/KHOL-be/TOof all his houseוּמֹשֵׁלu/mo/SHELand a rulerבְּכׇל־אֶרֶץbe/KHOL-E/retsthroughout all the land ofמִצְרָיִם׃Mits/RA/yimEgypt

   So now it was not you that sent me hither, but God: and he hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.

   מַהֲרוּma/ha/RUhasteוַעֲלוּva/a/LUand go upאֶל־אָבִיel-a/VIto my fatherוַאֲמַרְתֶּםva/a/mar/TEMand you shall sayאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himכֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysבִּנְךָbin/KHAyour sonיוֹסֵףYo/SEFJosephשָׂמַנִיsa/MA/nihas made meאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodלְאָדוֹןle/a/DONlordלְכׇל־מִצְרָיִםle/KHOL-mits/RA/yimof all Egyptרְדָהre/DAcome downאֵלַיe/LAYto meאַל־תַּעֲמֹד׃al-ta/a/MODtarry not

   Haste ye, and go up to my father, and say unto him, Thus saith thy son Joseph, God hath made me lord of all Egypt: come down unto me, tarry not:

10. 10

    וְיָשַׁבְתָּve/ya/shav/TAand you shall dwellבְאֶרֶץ־גֹּשֶׁןve/E/rets-GO/shenin the land of Goshenוְהָיִיתָve/ha/YI/taand you shall beקָרוֹבka/ROVnearאֵלַיe/LAYto meאַתָּהat/TAyouוּבָנֶיךָu/va/NE/khaand your sonsוּבְנֵיu/ve/NEand the sons ofבָנֶיךָva/NE/khayour sonsוְצֹאנְךָve/tso/ne/KHAand your flocksוּבְקָרְךָu/ve/ka/re/KHAand your herdsוְכׇל־אֲשֶׁר־לָךְ׃ve/KHOL-a/SHER-lakhand all that you have

    And thou shalt dwell in the land of Goshen, and thou shalt be near unto me, thou, and thy children, and thy children's children, and thy flocks, and thy herds, and all that thou hast:

11. 11

    וְכִלְכַּלְתִּיve/khil/kal/TIand I will nourishאֹתְךָot/KHAyouשָׁםshamthereכִּי־עוֹדki-odfor yet areחָמֵשׁcha/MESHfiveשָׁנִיםsha/NIMyearsרָעָבra/AVof famineפֶּן־תִּוָּרֵשׁpen-tiv/va/RESHlest come to povertyאַתָּהat/TAyouוּבֵיתְךָu/ve/te/KHAand your householdוְכׇל־אֲשֶׁר־לָךְ׃ve/KHOL-a/SHER-lakhand all that you have

    And there will I nourish thee; for yet there are five years of famine; lest thou, and thy household, and all that thou hast, come to poverty.

12. 12

    וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdעֵינֵיכֶםe/ne/KHEMyour eyesרֹאוֹתro/OTseeוְעֵינֵיve/e/NEand the eyes ofאָחִיa/CHImy brotherבִנְיָמִיןVin/ya/MINBenjaminכִּי־פִיki-fithat my mouthהַמְדַבֵּרham/dab/BERthat speaksאֲלֵיכֶם׃a/le/KHEMto you

    And, behold, your eyes see, and the eyes of my brother Benjamin, that it is my mouth that speaketh unto you.

13. 13

    וְהִגַּדְתֶּםve/hig/gad/TEMand you shall tellלְאָבִיle/a/VImy fatherאֶת־כׇּל־כְּבוֹדִיet-kol-ke/vo/DIall my gloryבְּמִצְרַיִםbe/Mits/RA/yimin Egyptוְאֵתve/ETandכׇּל־אֲשֶׁרkol-a/SHERall thatרְאִיתֶםre/i/TEMyou have seenוּמִהַרְתֶּםu/mi/har/TEMand you shall hasteוְהוֹרַדְתֶּםve/ho/rad/TEMand bring downאֶת־אָבִיet-a/VImy fatherהֵנָּה׃HEN/nahither

    And ye shall tell my father of all my glory in Egypt, and of all that ye have seen; and ye shall haste and bring down my father hither.

14. 14

    וַיִּפֹּלvay/yip/POLand fellעַל־צַוְּארֵיal-tsav/ve/REupon the neck ofבִנְיָמִן־אָחִיוvin/ya/MIN-A/CHIVhis brother Benjaminוַיֵּבְךְּvay/YEVKand weptוּבִנְיָמִןu/Vin/ya/MINand Benjaminבָּכָהba/KHAweptעַל־צַוָּארָיו׃al-tsav/va/RAYVupon his neck

    And he fell upon his brother Benjamin's neck, and wept; and Benjamin wept upon his neck.

15. 15

    וַיְנַשֵּׁקvay/nash/SHEKand kissedלְכׇל־אֶחָיוle/KHOL-e/CHAYVall his brethrenוַיֵּבְךְּvay/YEVKand weptעֲלֵהֶםa/le/HEMupon themוְאַחֲרֵיve/a/cha/REand afterכֵןkhenthatדִּבְּרוּdib/be/RUtalkedאֶחָיוe/CHAYVhis brethrenאִתּוֹ׃it/TOwith him

    Moreover he kissed all his brethren, and wept upon them: and after that his brethren talked with him.

16. 16

    וְהַקֹּלve/hak/KOLand the reportנִשְׁמַעnish/MAwas heardבֵּיתbetin the house ofפַּרְעֹהPar/OPharaohלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingבָּאוּBA/uare comeאֲחֵיa/CHEthe brethren ofיוֹסֵףYo/SEFJosephוַיִּיטַבvay/yi/TAVand it was goodבְּעֵינֵיbe/e/NEin the eyes ofפַרְעֹהFar/OPharaohוּבְעֵינֵיu/ve/e/NEand in the eyes ofעֲבָדָיו׃a/va/DAYVhis servants

    And the fame thereof was heard in Pharaoh's house, saying, Joseph's brethren are come: and it pleased Pharaoh well, and his servants.

17. 17

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidפַּרְעֹהPar/OPharaohאֶל־יוֹסֵףel-Yo/SEFto Josephאֱמֹרe/MORsayאֶל־אַחֶיךָel-a/CHE/khato your brethrenזֹאתzotthisעֲשׂוּa/SUdoטַעֲנוּta/a/NUladeאֶת־בְּעִירְכֶםet-be/i/re/KHEMyour beastsוּלְכוּ־בֹאוּu/le/KHU-VO/uand go get youאַרְצָהAR/tsato the land ofכְּנָעַן׃Ke/NA/anCanaan

    And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Say unto thy brethren, This do ye; lade your beasts, and go, get you unto the land of Canaan;

18. 18

    וּקְחוּu/ke/CHUand fetchאֶת־אֲבִיכֶםet-a/vi/KHEMyour fatherוְאֶת־בָּתֵּיכֶםve/ET-bat/te/KHEMand your householdsוּבֹאוּu/VO/uand comeאֵלָיe/LAYto meוְאֶתְּנָהve/et/te/NAand I will giveלָכֶםla/KHEMyouאֶת־טוּבet-tuvthe good ofאֶרֶץE/retsthe land ofמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptוְאִכְלוּve/ikh/LUand you shall eatאֶת־חֵלֶבet-CHE/levthe fat ofהָאָרֶץ׃ha/A/retsthe land

    And take your father and your households, and come unto me: and I will give you the good of the land of Egypt, and ye shall eat the fat of the land.

19. 19

    וְאַתָּהve/at/TAnow youצֻוֵּיתָהtsuv/VE/taare commandedזֹאתzotthisעֲשׂוּa/SUdoקְחוּ־לָכֶםke/CHU-la/KHEMtake for yourselvesמֵאֶרֶץme/E/retsout of the land ofמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptעֲגָלוֹתa/ga/LOTcartsלְטַפְּכֶםle/tap/pe/KHEMfor your little onesוְלִנְשֵׁיכֶםve/lin/she/KHEMand for your wivesוּנְשָׂאתֶםu/ne/sa/TEMand bringאֶת־אֲבִיכֶםet-a/vi/KHEMyour fatherוּבָאתֶם׃u/va/TEMand come

    Now thou art commanded, this do ye; take you wagons out of the land of Egypt for your little ones, and for your wives, and bring your father, and come.

20. 20

    וְעֵינְכֶםve/e/ne/KHEMand your eyeאַל־תָּחֹסal-ta/CHOSlet not pityעַל־כְּלֵיכֶםal-ke/le/KHEMyour stuffכִּי־טוּבki-tuvfor the good ofכׇּל־אֶרֶץkol-E/retsall the land ofמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptלָכֶםla/KHEMyoursהוּא׃huis

    Also regard not your stuff; for the good of all the land of Egypt is yours.

21. 21

    וַיַּעֲשׂוּ־כֵןvay/ya/a/SU-khenand did soבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelוַיִּתֵּןvay/yit/TENand gaveלָהֶםla/HEMthemיוֹסֵףYo/SEFJosephעֲגָלוֹתa/ga/LOTcartsעַל־פִּיal-piaccording toפַרְעֹהFar/OPharaohוַיִּתֵּןvay/yit/TENand gaveלָהֶםla/HEMthemצֵדָהtse/DAprovisionלַדָּרֶךְ׃lad/DA/rekhfor the way

    And the children of Israel did so: and Joseph gave them wagons, according to the commandment of Pharaoh, and gave them provision for the way.

22. 22

    לְכֻלָּםle/khul/LAMto all of themנָתַןna/TANhe gaveלָאִישׁla/ISHto each manחֲלִפוֹתcha/li/FOTchanges ofשְׂמָלֹתse/ma/LOTraimentוּלְבִנְיָמִןu/Le/vin/ya/MINand to Benjaminנָתַןna/TANhe gaveשְׁלֹשׁshe/LOSHthreeמֵאוֹתme/OThundredכֶּסֶףKE/sefof silverוְחָמֵשׁve/cha/MESHand fiveחֲלִפֹתcha/li/FOTchanges ofשְׂמָלֹת׃se/ma/LOTraiment

    To all of them he gave each man changes of raiment; but to Benjamin he gave three hundred pieces of silver, and five changes of raiment.

23. 23

    וּלְאָבִיוu/le/a/VIVand to his fatherשָׁלַחsha/LACHsentכְּזֹאתke/ZOTafter this mannerעֲשָׂרָהa/sa/RAtenחֲמֹרִיםcha/mo/RIMdonkeysנֹשְׂאִיםnos/IMladen withמִטּוּבmit/TUVthe good things ofמִצְרָיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptוְעֶשֶׂרve/E/serand tenאֲתֹנֹתa/to/NOTshe-donkeysנֹשְׂאֹתnos/OTladen withבָּרbargrainוָלֶחֶםva/LE/chemand breadוּמָזוֹןu/ma/ZONand provisionלְאָבִיוle/a/VIVfor his fatherלַדָּרֶךְ׃lad/DA/rekhfor the way

    And to his father he sent after this manner; ten asses laden with the good things of Egypt, and ten she asses laden with corn and bread and meat for his father by the way.

24. 24

    וַיְשַׁלַּחvay/shal/LACHso he sent awayאֶת־אֶחָיוet-e/CHAYVhis brethrenוַיֵּלֵכוּvay/ye/LE/khuand they wentוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵהֶםa/le/HEMto themאַל־תִּרְגְּזוּal-tir/ge/ZUsee that you fall not outבַּדָּרֶךְ׃bad/DA/rekhby the way

    So he sent his brethren away, and they departed: and he said unto them, See that ye fall not out by the way.

25. 25

    וַיַּעֲלוּvay/ya/a/LUand they went upמִמִּצְרָיִםmim/Mits/RA/yimout of Egyptוַיָּבֹאוּvay/ya/VO/uand they cameאֶרֶץE/retsinto the land ofכְּנַעַןKe/NA/anCanaanאֶל־יַעֲקֹבel-Ya/a/KOVto Jacobאֲבִיהֶם׃a/vi/HEMtheir father

    And they went up out of Egypt, and came into the land of Canaan unto Jacob their father,

26. 26

    וַיַּגִּדוּvay/yag/GI/duand they toldלוֹlohimלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingעוֹדodis yetיוֹסֵףYo/SEFJosephחַיchayaliveוְכִי־הוּאve/KHI-huand he isמֹשֵׁלmo/SHELgovernorבְּכׇל־אֶרֶץbe/KHOL-E/retsover all the land ofמִצְרָיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptוַיָּפׇגvay/YA/fogand faintedלִבּוֹlib/BOhis heartכִּיkiforלֹא־הֶאֱמִיןlo-he/e/MINhe did not believeלָהֶם׃la/HEMthem

    And told him, saying, Joseph is yet alive, and he is governor over all the land of Egypt. And Jacob's heart fainted, for he believed them not.

27. 27

    וַיְדַבְּרוּvay/dab/be/RUand they toldאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himאֵת־כׇּל־דִּבְרֵיet-kol-div/REall the words ofיוֹסֵףYo/SEFJosephאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichדִּבֶּרdib/BERhe had saidאֲלֵהֶםa/le/HEMto themוַיַּרְאvay/YARand sawאֶת־הָעֲגָלוֹתet-ha/a/ga/LOTthe cartsאֲשֶׁר־שָׁלַחa/SHER-sha/LACHwhich had sentיוֹסֵףYo/SEFJosephלָשֵׂאתla/SETto carryאֹתוֹo/TOhimוַתְּחִיvat/te/CHIand revivedרוּחַRU/achthe spirit ofיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVJacobאֲבִיהֶם׃a/vi/HEMtheir father

    And they told him all the words of Joseph, which he had said unto them: and when he saw the wagons which Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of Jacob their father revived:

28. 28

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelרַבravit is enoughעוֹד־יוֹסֵףOd-yo/SEFJoseph is yetבְּנִיbe/NImy sonחָיchayaliveאֵלְכָהel/KHAI will goוְאֶרְאֶנּוּve/er/EN/nuand see himבְּטֶרֶםbe/TE/rembeforeאָמוּת׃a/MUTI die

    And Israel said, It is enough; Joseph my son is yet alive: I will go and see him before I die.
