   וַיַּרְאvay/YARand sawיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVJacobכִּיkithatיֶשׁ־שֶׁבֶרyesh-SHE/verthere was grainבְּמִצְרָיִםbe/Mits/RA/yimin Egyptוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVJacobלְבָנָיוle/va/NAYVto his sonsלָמָּהLAM/mawhyתִּתְרָאוּ׃tit/ra/Udo you look one upon another

   Now when Jacob saw that there was corn in Egypt, Jacob said unto his sons, Why do ye look one upon another?

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdשָׁמַעְתִּיsha/MA/tiI have heardכִּיkithatיֶשׁ־שֶׁבֶרyesh-SHE/verthere is grainבְּמִצְרָיִםbe/Mits/RA/yimin Egyptרְדוּ־שָׁמָּהre/DU-SHAM/mago down thitherוְשִׁבְרוּ־לָנוּve/shiv/RU-LA/nuand buy for usמִשָּׁםmish/SHAMfrom thereוְנִחְיֶהve/nich/YEthat we may liveוְלֹאve/LOand notנָמוּת׃na/MUTdie

   And he said, Behold, I have heard that there is corn in Egypt: get you down thither, and buy for us from thence; that we may live, and not die.

   And Joseph's ten brethren went down to buy corn in Egypt.

   וְאֶת־בִּנְיָמִיןve/ET-bin/ya/MINand Benjaminאֲחִיa/CHIthe brother ofיוֹסֵףYo/SEFJosephלֹא־שָׁלַחlo-sha/LACHdid not sendיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVJacobאֶת־אֶחָיוet-e/CHAYVwith his brethrenכִּיkiforאָמַרa/MARhe saidפֶּן־יִקְרָאֶנּוּpen-yik/ra/EN/nulest befall himאָסוֹן׃a/SONmischief

   But Benjamin, Joseph's brother, Jacob sent not with his brethren; for he said, Lest peradventure mischief befall him.

   וַיָּבֹאוּvay/ya/VO/uand they cameבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelלִשְׁבֹּרlish/BORto buyבְּתוֹךְbe/TOKHamongהַבָּאִיםhab/ba/IMthose that cameכִּי־הָיָהki-ha/YAfor wasהָרָעָבha/ra/AVthe famineבְּאֶרֶץbe/E/retsin the land ofכְּנָעַן׃Ke/NA/anCanaan

   And the sons of Israel came to buy corn among those that came: for the famine was in the land of Canaan.

   וְיוֹסֵףve/Yo/SEFand Josephהוּאhuheהַשַּׁלִּיטhash/shal/LITwas the governorעַל־הָאָרֶץal-ha/A/retsover the landהוּאhuheהַמַּשְׁבִּירham/mash/BIRwho soldלְכׇל־עַםle/KHOL-amto all the people ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe landוַיָּבֹאוּvay/ya/VO/uand they cameאֲחֵיa/CHEthe brethren ofיוֹסֵףYo/SEFJosephוַיִּשְׁתַּחֲווּ־לוֹvay/yish/ta/cha/VU-loand bowed themselves to himאַפַּיִםap/PA/yimwith their facesאָרְצָה׃AR/tsato the ground

   And Joseph was the governor over the land, and he it was that sold to all the people of the land: and Joseph's brethren came, and bowed down themselves before him with their faces to the earth.

   And Joseph saw his brethren, and he knew them, but made himself strange unto them, and spake roughly unto them; and he said unto them, Whence come ye? And they said, From the land of Canaan to buy food.

   And Joseph knew his brethren, but they knew not him.

   וַיִּזְכֹּרvay/yiz/KORand rememberedיוֹסֵףYo/SEFJosephאֵת־הַחֲלֹמוֹתet-ha/cha/lo/MOTthe dreamsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichחָלַםcha/LAMhe dreamedלָהֶםla/HEMof themוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵהֶםa/le/HEMto themמְרַגְּלִיםme/rag/ge/LIMspiesאַתֶּםat/TEMyou areלִרְאוֹתlir/OTto seeאֶת־עֶרְוַתet-er/VATthe nakedness ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe landבָּאתֶם׃ba/TEMyou have come

   And Joseph remembered the dreams which he dreamed of them, and said unto them, Ye are spies; to see the nakedness of the land ye are come.

    וַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himלֹאlonotאֲדֹנִיa/do/NImy lordוַעֲבָדֶיךָva/a/va/DE/khabut your servantsבָּאוּBA/uhave comeלִשְׁבׇּר־אֹכֶל׃lish/BOR-O/khelto buy food

    And they said unto him, Nay, my lord, but to buy food are thy servants come.

11. 11

    כֻּלָּנוּkul/LA/nuwe are allבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofאִישׁ־אֶחָדish-e/CHADone manנָחְנוּNACH/nuwe areכֵּנִיםke/NIMtrue menאֲנַחְנוּa/NACH/nuwe areלֹא־הָיוּlo-ha/YUare notעֲבָדֶיךָa/va/DE/khayour servantsמְרַגְּלִים׃me/rag/ge/LIMspies

    We are all one man's sons; we are true men, thy servants are no spies.

12. 12

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵהֶםa/le/HEMto themלֹאlonotכִּי־עֶרְוַתki-er/VATbut the nakedness ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe landבָּאתֶםba/TEMyou have comeלִרְאוֹת׃lir/OTto see

    And he said unto them, Nay, but to see the nakedness of the land ye are come.

13. 13

    וַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidשְׁנֵים־עָשָׂרshe/NEM-a/SARtwelveעֲבָדֶיךָa/va/DE/khayour servantsאַחִיםa/CHIMbrethrenאֲנַחְנוּa/NACH/nuwe areבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofאִישׁ־אֶחָדish-e/CHADone manבְּאֶרֶץbe/E/retsin the land ofכְּנָעַןKe/NA/anCanaanוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdהַקָּטֹןhak/ka/TONthe youngest isאֶת־אָבִינוּet-a/VI/nuwith our fatherהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthis dayוְהָאֶחָדve/ha/e/CHADand oneאֵינֶנּוּ׃e/NEN/nuis not

    And they said, Thy servants are twelve brethren, the sons of one man in the land of Canaan; and, behold, the youngest is this day with our father, and one is not.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵהֶםa/le/HEMto themיוֹסֵףYo/SEFJosephהוּאhuthat is itאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatדִּבַּרְתִּיdib/BAR/tiI have spokenאֲלֵכֶםa/le/KHEMto youלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingמְרַגְּלִיםme/rag/ge/LIMspiesאַתֶּם׃at/TEMyou are

    And Joseph said unto them, That is it that I spake unto you, saying, Ye are spies:

15. 15

    בְּזֹאתbe/ZOTherebyתִּבָּחֵנוּtib/ba/CHE/nuyou shall be provedחֵיcheby the life ofפַרְעֹהFar/OPharaohאִם־תֵּצְאוּim-tets/Uyou shall not go forthמִזֶּהmiz/ZEhenceכִּיkiexceptאִם־בְּבוֹאim-be/VOwhen comesאֲחִיכֶםa/chi/KHEMyour brotherהַקָּטֹןhak/ka/TONthe youngestהֵנָּה׃HEN/nahither

    Hereby ye shall be proved: By the life of Pharaoh ye shall not go forth hence, except your youngest brother come hither.

16. 16

    שִׁלְחוּshil/CHUsendמִכֶּםmik/KEMof youאֶחָדe/CHADoneוְיִקַּחve/yik/KACHand let him fetchאֶת־אֲחִיכֶםet-a/chi/KHEMyour brotherוְאַתֶּםve/at/TEMand youהֵאָסְרוּhe/a/se/RUshall be boundוְיִבָּחֲנוּve/yib/ba/cha/NUthat may be provedדִּבְרֵיכֶםdiv/re/KHEMyour wordsהַאֱמֶתha/e/METwhether there be truthאִתְּכֶםit/te/KHEMin youוְאִם־לֹאve/IM-loor elseחֵיcheby the life ofפַרְעֹהFar/OPharaohכִּיkisurelyמְרַגְּלִיםme/rag/ge/LIMspiesאַתֶּם׃at/TEMyou are

    Send one of you, and let him fetch your brother, and ye shall be kept in prison, that your words may be proved, whether there be any truth in you: or else by the life of Pharaoh surely ye are spies.

    וַיֶּאֱסֹףvay/ye/e/SOFand he putאֹתָםo/TAMthemאֶל־מִשְׁמָרel-mish/MARinto custodyשְׁלֹשֶׁתshe/LO/shetthreeיָמִים׃ya/MIMdays

    And he put them all together into ward three days.

18. 18

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵהֶםa/le/HEMto themיוֹסֵףYo/SEFJosephבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMon the dayהַשְּׁלִישִׁיhash/she/li/SHIthe thirdזֹאתzotthisעֲשׂוּa/SUdoוִחְיוּvich/YUand liveאֶת־הָאֱלֹהִיםet-ha/e/lo/HIMGodאֲנִיa/NIIיָרֵא׃ya/REfear

    And Joseph said unto them the third day, This do, and live; for I fear God:

19. 19

    אִם־כֵּנִיםim-ke/NIMif true menאַתֶּםat/TEMyou areאֲחִיכֶםa/chi/KHEMyour brotherאֶחָדe/CHADoneיֵאָסֵרye/a/SERlet be boundבְּבֵיתbe/VETin the house ofמִשְׁמַרְכֶםmish/mar/KHEMyour prisonוְאַתֶּםve/at/TEMand youלְכוּle/KHUgoהָבִיאוּha/VI/ucarryשֶׁבֶרSHE/vergrainרַעֲבוֹןra/a/VONfor the famine ofבָּתֵּיכֶם׃bat/te/KHEMyour houses

    If ye be true men, let one of your brethren be bound in the house of your prison: go ye, carry corn for the famine of your houses:

20. 20

    וְאֶת־אֲחִיכֶםve/ET-a/chi/KHEMand your brotherהַקָּטֹןhak/ka/TONthe youngestתָּבִיאוּta/VI/ubringאֵלַיe/LAYto meוְיֵאָמְנוּve/ye/a/me/NUso shall be verifiedדִבְרֵיכֶםdiv/re/KHEMyour wordsוְלֹאve/LOand notתָמוּתוּta/MU/tushall you dieוַיַּעֲשׂוּ־כֵן׃vay/ya/a/SU-khenand they did so

    But bring your youngest brother unto me; so shall your words be verified, and ye shall not die. And they did so.

21. 21

    וַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidאִישׁishoneאֶל־אָחִיוel-a/CHIVto his brotherאֲבָלa/VALverilyאֲשֵׁמִיםa/she/MIMare guiltyאֲנַחְנוּa/NACH/nuweעַל־אָחִינוּal-a/CHI/nuconcerning our brotherאֲשֶׁרa/SHERin thatרָאִינוּra/I/nuwe sawצָרַתtsa/RATthe anguish ofנַפְשׁוֹnaf/SHOhis soulבְּהִתְחַנְנוֹbe/hit/chan/NOwhen he besoughtאֵלֵינוּe/LE/nuusוְלֹאve/LOand notשָׁמָעְנוּsha/MA/nuwould we hearעַל־כֵּןal-kenthereforeבָּאָהba/Ais comeאֵלֵינוּe/LE/nuusהַצָּרָהhats/tsa/RAthe distressהַזֹּאת׃haz/ZOTthis

    And they said one to another, We are verily guilty concerning our brother, in that we saw the anguish of his soul, when he besought us, and we would not hear; therefore is this distress come upon us.

22. 22

    וַיַּעַןvay/YA/anand he answeredרְאוּבֵןRe/u/VENReubenאֹתָםo/TAMthemלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingהֲלוֹאha/LOdid notאָמַרְתִּיa/MAR/tiI speakאֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMto youלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingאַל־תֶּחֶטְאוּal-te/chet/Udo not sinבַיֶּלֶדvay/YE/ledagainst the childוְלֹאve/LOand notשְׁמַעְתֶּםshe/ma/TEMwould you hearוְגַם־דָּמוֹve/GAM-da/MOtherefore also his bloodהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdנִדְרָשׁ׃nid/RASHis required

    And Reuben answered them, saying, Spake I not unto you, saying, Do not sin against the child; and ye would not hear? therefore, behold, also his blood is required.

    וְהֵםve/HEMand theyלֹאlonotיָדְעוּya/de/Uknewכִּיkithatשֹׁמֵעַsho/ME/aunderstoodיוֹסֵףYo/SEFJosephכִּיkiforהַמֵּלִיץham/me/LITSthe interpreterבֵּינֹתָם׃be/no/TAMwas between them

    And they knew not that Joseph understood them; for he spake unto them by an interpreter.

24. 24

    וַיִּסֹּבvay/yis/SOVand he turned himselfמֵעֲלֵיהֶםme/a/le/HEMfrom themוַיֵּבְךְּvay/YEVKand weptוַיָּשׇׁבvay/YA/shovand returnedאֲלֵהֶםa/le/HEMto themוַיְדַבֵּרvay/dab/BERand spokeאֲלֵהֶםa/le/HEMto themוַיִּקַּחvay/yik/KACHand tookמֵאִתָּםme/it/TAMof themאֶת־שִׁמְעוֹןet-Shim/ONSimeonוַיֶּאֱסֹרvay/ye/e/SORand boundאֹתוֹo/TOhimלְעֵינֵיהֶם׃le/e/ne/HEMbefore their eyes

    And he turned himself about from them, and wept; and returned to them again, and communed with them, and took from them Simeon, and bound him before their eyes.

    וַיְצַוvay/TSAVand commandedיוֹסֵףYo/SEFJosephוַיְמַלְאוּvay/mal/Uand they filledאֶת־כְּלֵיהֶםet-ke/le/HEMtheir sacksבָּרbargrainוּלְהָשִׁיבu/le/ha/SHIVand to restoreכַּסְפֵּיהֶםkas/pe/HEMtheir moneyאִישׁishevery manאֶל־שַׂקּוֹel-sak/KOinto his sackוְלָתֵתve/la/TETand to giveלָהֶםla/HEMthemצֵדָהtse/DAprovisionלַדָּרֶךְlad/DA/rekhfor the wayוַיַּעַשׂvay/YA/asand thus did heלָהֶםla/HEMthemכֵּן׃kenso

    Then Joseph commanded to fill their sacks with corn, and to restore every man's money into his sack, and to give them provision for the way: and thus did he unto them.

26. 26

    וַיִּשְׂאוּvay/yis/Uand they ladedאֶת־שִׁבְרָםet-shiv/RAMtheir grainעַל־חֲמֹרֵיהֶםal-cha/mo/re/HEMupon their donkeysוַיֵּלְכוּvay/yel/KHUand they wentמִשָּׁם׃mish/SHAMfrom there

    And they laded their asses with the corn, and departed thence.

27. 27

    וַיִּפְתַּחvay/yif/TACHand he openedהָאֶחָדha/e/CHADoneאֶת־שַׂקּוֹet-sak/KOhis sackלָתֵתla/TETto giveמִסְפּוֹאmis/POprovenderלַחֲמֹרוֹla/cha/mo/ROto his donkeyבַּמָּלוֹןbam/ma/LONat the lodging placeוַיַּרְאvay/YARand sawאֶת־כַּסְפּוֹet-kas/POhis moneyוְהִנֵּה־הוּאve/hin/NE-huand behold it wasבְּפִיbe/FIin the mouth ofאַמְתַּחְתּוֹ׃am/tach/TOhis sack

    And as one of them opened his sack to give his ass provender in the inn, he espied his money; for, behold, it was in his sack's mouth.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֶל־אֶחָיוel-e/CHAYVto his brethrenהוּשַׁבhu/SHAVis restoredכַּסְפִּיkas/PImy moneyוְגַםve/GAMand alsoהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdבְאַמְתַּחְתִּיve/am/tach/TIin my sackוַיֵּצֵאvay/ye/TSEand went outלִבָּםlib/BAMtheir heartוַיֶּחֶרְדוּvay/ye/cher/DUand they turned tremblingאִישׁishoneאֶל־אָחִיוel-a/CHIVto his brotherלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingמַה־זֹּאתma-zotwhat is thisעָשָׂהa/SAhas doneאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodלָנוּ׃LA/nuto us

    And he said unto his brethren, My money is restored; and, lo, it is even in my sack: and their heart failed them, and they were afraid, saying one to another, What is this that God hath done unto us?

29. 29

    וַיָּבֹאוּvay/ya/VO/uand they cameאֶל־יַעֲקֹבel-Ya/a/KOVto Jacobאֲבִיהֶםa/vi/HEMtheir fatherאַרְצָהAR/tsato the land ofכְּנָעַןKe/NA/anCanaanוַיַּגִּידוּvay/yag/GI/duand toldלוֹloto himאֵת־כׇּל־הַקֹּרֹתet-kol-hak/ko/ROTall that befellאֹתָםo/TAMthemלֵאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

    And they came unto Jacob their father unto the land of Canaan, and told him all that befell unto them; saying,

30. 30

    דִּבֶּרdib/BERspokeהָאִישׁha/ISHthe manאֲדֹנֵיa/do/NEthe lord ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe landאִתָּנוּit/TA/nuwith usקָשׁוֹתka/SHOTroughlyוַיִּתֵּןvay/yit/TENand tookאֹתָנוּo/TA/nuusכִּמְרַגְּלִיםkim/rag/ge/LIMfor spies ofאֶת־הָאָרֶץ׃et-ha/A/retsthe land

    The man, who is the lord of the land, spake roughly to us, and took us for spies of the country.

31. 31

    וַנֹּאמֶרvan/NO/merand we saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himכֵּנִיםke/NIMtrue menאֲנָחְנוּa/NACH/nuwe areלֹאlonotהָיִינוּha/YI/nuwe areמְרַגְּלִים׃me/rag/ge/LIMspies

    And we said unto him, We are true men; we are no spies:

32. 32

    שְׁנֵים־עָשָׂרshe/NEM-a/SARtwelveאֲנַחְנוּa/NACH/nuwe areאַחִיםa/CHIMbrethrenבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofאָבִינוּa/VI/nuour fatherהָאֶחָדha/e/CHADoneאֵינֶנּוּe/NEN/nuis notוְהַקָּטֹןve/hak/ka/TONand the youngest isהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthis dayאֶת־אָבִינוּet-a/VI/nuwith our fatherבְּאֶרֶץbe/E/retsin the land ofכְּנָעַן׃Ke/NA/anCanaan

    We be twelve brethren, sons of our father; one is not, and the youngest is this day with our father in the land of Canaan.

33. 33

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלֵינוּe/LE/nuto usהָאִישׁha/ISHthe manאֲדֹנֵיa/do/NEthe lord ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe landבְּזֹאתbe/ZOTherebyאֵדַעe/DAshall I knowכִּיkithatכֵנִיםkhe/NIMtrue menאַתֶּםat/TEMyou areאֲחִיכֶםa/chi/KHEMyour brotherהָאֶחָדha/e/CHADthe oneהַנִּיחוּhan/NI/chuleaveאִתִּיit/TIwith meוְאֶת־רַעֲבוֹןve/ET-ra/a/VONand for the famine ofבָּתֵּיכֶםbat/te/KHEMyour householdsקְחוּke/CHUtakeוָלֵכוּ׃va/LE/khuand be gone

    And the man, the lord of the country, said unto us, Hereby shall I know that ye are true men; leave one of your brethren here with me, and take food for the famine of your households, and be gone:

    וְהָבִיאוּve/ha/VI/uand bringאֶת־אֲחִיכֶםet-a/chi/KHEMyour brotherהַקָּטֹןhak/ka/TONthe youngestאֵלַיe/LAYto meוְאֵדְעָהve/ed/Athen shall I knowכִּיkithatלֹאlonotמְרַגְּלִיםme/rag/ge/LIMspiesאַתֶּםat/TEMyou areכִּיkibutכֵנִיםkhe/NIMtrue menאַתֶּםat/TEMyou areאֶת־אֲחִיכֶםet-a/chi/KHEMyour brotherאֶתֵּןet/TENwill I deliverלָכֶםla/KHEMto youוְאֶת־הָאָרֶץve/ET-ha/A/retsand the landתִּסְחָרוּ׃tis/CHA/ruyou shall traffic in

    And bring your youngest brother unto me: then shall I know that ye are no spies, but that ye are true men: so will I deliver you your brother, and ye shall traffick in the land.

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passהֵםhemtheyמְרִיקִיםme/ri/KIMemptiedשַׂקֵּיהֶםsak/ke/HEMtheir sacksוְהִנֵּה־אִישׁve/hin/NE-ishthat behold every man'sצְרוֹר־כַּסְפּוֹtse/ROR-kas/PObundle of moneyבְּשַׂקּוֹbe/sak/KOin his sackוַיִּרְאוּvay/yir/Uand they sawאֶת־צְרֹרוֹתet-tse/ro/ROTthe bundles ofכַּסְפֵּיהֶםkas/pe/HEMtheir moneyהֵמָּהHEM/matheyוַאֲבִיהֶםva/a/vi/HEMand their fatherוַיִּירָאוּ׃vay/yi/RA/uand they were afraid

    And it came to pass as they emptied their sacks, that, behold, every man's bundle of money was in his sack: and when both they and their father saw the bundles of money, they were afraid.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵהֶםa/le/HEMto themיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVJacobאֲבִיהֶםa/vi/HEMtheir fatherאֹתִיo/TImeשִׁכַּלְתֶּםshik/kal/TEMyou have bereavedיוֹסֵףYo/SEFJosephאֵינֶנּוּe/NEN/nuis notוְשִׁמְעוֹןve/Shim/ONand Simeonאֵינֶנּוּe/NEN/nuis notוְאֶת־בִּנְיָמִןve/ET-bin/ya/MINand Benjaminתִּקָּחוּtik/KA/chuyou will take awayעָלַיa/LAYagainst meהָיוּha/YUareכֻלָּנָה׃khul/LA/naall these things

    And Jacob their father said unto them, Me have ye bereaved of my children: Joseph is not, and Simeon is not, and ye will take Benjamin away: all these things are against me.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidרְאוּבֵןRe/u/VENReubenאֶל־אָבִיוel-a/VIVto his fatherלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingאֶת־שְׁנֵיet-she/NEthe two ofבָנַיva/NAYmy sonsתָּמִיתta/MITslayאִם־לֹאim-loif notאֲבִיאֶנּוּa/vi/EN/nuI bring himאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khato youתְּנָהte/NAdeliverאֹתוֹo/TOhimעַל־יָדִיal-ya/DIinto my handוַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iאֲשִׁיבֶנּוּa/shi/VEN/nuwill bring him backאֵלֶיךָ׃e/LE/khato you

    And Reuben spake unto his father, saying, Slay my two sons, if I bring him not to thee: deliver him into my hand, and I will bring him to thee again.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidלֹא־יֵרֵדlo-ye/REDshall not go downבְּנִיbe/NImy sonעִמָּכֶםim/ma/KHEMwith youכִּי־אָחִיוki-a/CHIVfor his brotherמֵתmetis deadוְהוּאve/HUand heלְבַדּוֹle/vad/DOaloneנִשְׁאָרnish/ARis leftוּקְרָאָהוּu/ke/ra/A/huif befall himאָסוֹןa/SONmischiefבַּדֶּרֶךְbad/DE/rekhin the wayאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichתֵּלְכוּ־בָהּtel/KHU-vayou go inוְהוֹרַדְתֶּםve/ho/rad/TEMthen shall you bring downאֶת־שֵׂיבָתִיet-se/va/TImy gray hairsבְּיָגוֹןbe/ya/GONwith sorrowשְׁאוֹלָה׃She/O/lato Sheol

    And he said, My son shall not go down with you; for his brother is dead, and he is left alone: if mischief befall him by the way in the which ye go, then shall ye bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to the grave.
