   וַתֵּרֶאvat/TE/reand sawרָחֵלRa/CHELRachelכִּיkithatלֹאlonotיָלְדָהya/le/DAshe boreלְיַעֲקֹבle/Ya/a/KOVto Jacobוַתְּקַנֵּאvat/te/kan/NEand she was jealousרָחֵלRa/CHELRachelבַּאֲחֹתָהּba/a/cho/TAof her sisterוַתֹּאמֶרvat/TO/merand saidאֶל־יַעֲקֹבel-Ya/a/KOVto Jacobהָבָה־לִּיHA/va-ligive meבָנִיםva/NIMchildrenוְאִם־אַיִןve/IM-A/yinand if notמֵתָהME/taam dyingאָנֹכִי׃a/no/KHII

   And when Rachel saw that she bare Jacob no children, Rachel envied her sister; and said unto Jacob, Give me children, or else I die.

   וַיִּחַר־אַףvay/YI/char-afand was kindled the anger ofיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVJacobבְּרָחֵלbe/Ra/CHELagainst Rachelוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidהֲתַחַתha/TA/chatin the stead ofאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIam Iאֲשֶׁר־מָנַעa/SHER-ma/NAwho has withheldמִמֵּךְmim/MEKHfrom youפְּרִי־בָטֶן׃pe/RI-VA/tenthe fruit of the womb

   And Jacob's anger was kindled against Rachel: and he said, Am I in God's stead, who hath withheld from thee the fruit of the womb?

   וַתֹּאמֶרvat/TO/merand saidהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאֲמָתִיa/ma/TImy maidבִלְהָהVil/HABilhahבֹּאbogo inאֵלֶיהָe/LE/hato herוְתֵלֵדve/te/LEDand she shall bearעַל־בִּרְכַּיal-bir/KAYupon my kneesוְאִבָּנֶהve/ib/ba/NEthat I may be built upגַם־אָנֹכִיgam-a/no/KHII alsoמִמֶּנָּה׃mim/MEN/naby her

   And she said, Behold my maid Bilhah, go in unto her; and she shall bear upon my knees, that I may also have children by her.

   וַתִּתֶּן־לוֹvat/TIT/ten-loand she gave himאֶת־בִּלְהָהet-Bil/HABilhahשִׁפְחָתָהּshif/cha/TAher handmaidלְאִשָּׁהle/ish/SHAto wifeוַיָּבֹאvay/ya/VOand went inאֵלֶיהָe/LE/hato herיַעֲקֹב׃Ya/a/KOVJacob

   And she gave him Bilhah her handmaid to wife: and Jacob went in unto her.

   וַתַּהַרvat/TA/harand she conceivedבִּלְהָהBil/HABilhahוַתֵּלֶדvat/TE/ledand boreלְיַעֲקֹבle/Ya/a/KOVto Jacobבֵּן׃bena son

   And Bilhah conceived, and bare Jacob a son.

   וַתֹּאמֶרvat/TO/merand saidרָחֵלRa/CHELRachelדָּנַנִּיda/NAN/nihas judged meאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodוְגַםve/GAMand alsoשָׁמַעsha/MAhas heardבְּקֹלִיbe/ko/LImy voiceוַיִּתֶּן־לִיvay/YIT/ten-liand has given meבֵּןbena sonעַל־כֵּןal-kenthereforeקָרְאָהka/re/Ashe calledשְׁמוֹshe/MOhis nameדָּן׃DanDan

   And Rachel said, God hath judged me, and hath also heard my voice, and hath given me a son: therefore called she his name Dan.

   וַתַּהַרvat/TA/harand she conceivedעוֹדodagainוַתֵּלֶדvat/TE/ledand boreבִּלְהָהBil/HABilhahשִׁפְחַתshif/CHATthe handmaid ofרָחֵלRa/CHELRachelבֵּןbena sonשֵׁנִיshe/NIa secondלְיַעֲקֹב׃le/Ya/a/KOVto Jacob

   And Bilhah Rachel's maid conceived again, and bare Jacob a second son.

   וַתֹּאמֶרvat/TO/merand saidרָחֵלRa/CHELRachelנַפְתּוּלֵיnaf/tu/LEwrestlings ofאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodנִפְתַּלְתִּיnif/TAL/tiI have wrestledעִם־אֲחֹתִיim-a/cho/TIwith my sisterגַּם־יָכֹלְתִּיgam-ya/KHOL/tiand I have prevailedוַתִּקְרָאvat/tik/RAand she calledשְׁמוֹshe/MOhis nameנַפְתָּלִי׃Naf/ta/LINaphtali

   And Rachel said, With great wrestlings have I wrestled with my sister, and I have prevailed: and she called his name Naphtali.

   וַתֵּרֶאvat/TE/reand sawלֵאָהLe/ALeahכִּיkithatעָמְדָהa/me/DAshe had left offמִלֶּדֶתmil/LE/detbearingוַתִּקַּחvat/tik/KACHand she tookאֶת־זִלְפָּהet-Zil/PAZilpahשִׁפְחָתָהּshif/cha/TAher handmaidוַתִּתֵּןvat/tit/TENand she gaveאֹתָהּo/TAherלְיַעֲקֹבle/Ya/a/KOVto Jacobלְאִשָּׁה׃le/ish/SHAto wife

   When Leah saw that she had left bearing, she took Zilpah her maid, and gave her Jacob to wife.

    וַתֵּלֶדvat/TE/ledand boreזִלְפָּהZil/PAZilpahשִׁפְחַתshif/CHATthe handmaid ofלֵאָהLe/ALeahלְיַעֲקֹבle/Ya/a/KOVto Jacobבֵּן׃bena son

    And Zilpah Leah's maid bare Jacob a son.

    וַתֹּאמֶרvat/TO/merand saidלֵאָהLe/ALeah(בגד)vagad[בָּאbahas comeגָד]gadgood fortuneוַתִּקְרָאvat/tik/RAand she calledאֶת־שְׁמוֹet-she/MOhis nameגָּד׃GadGad

    And Leah said, A troop cometh: and she called his name Gad.

    וַתֵּלֶדvat/TE/ledand boreזִלְפָּהZil/PAZilpahשִׁפְחַתshif/CHATthe handmaid ofלֵאָהLe/ALeahבֵּןbena sonשֵׁנִיshe/NIa secondלְיַעֲקֹב׃le/Ya/a/KOVto Jacob

    And Zilpah Leah's maid bare Jacob a second son.

    וַתֹּאמֶרvat/TO/merand saidלֵאָהLe/ALeahבְּאׇשְׁרִיbe/osh/RIhappy am Iכִּיkiforאִשְּׁרוּנִיish/she/RU/niwill call me happyבָּנוֹתba/NOTdaughtersוַתִּקְרָאvat/tik/RAand she calledאֶת־שְׁמוֹet-she/MOhis nameאָשֵׁר׃A/SHERAsher

    And Leah said, Happy am I, for the daughters will call me blessed: and she called his name Asher.

    וַיֵּלֶךְvay/YE/lekhand wentרְאוּבֵןRe/u/VENReubenבִּימֵיbi/MEin the days ofקְצִיר־חִטִּיםke/TSIR-chit/TIMthe harvest of wheatוַיִּמְצָאvay/yim/TSAand foundדוּדָאִיםdu/da/IMmandrakesבַּשָּׂדֶהbas/sa/DEin the fieldוַיָּבֵאvay/ya/VEand he broughtאֹתָםo/TAMthemאֶל־לֵאָהel-Le/Ato Leahאִמּוֹim/MOhis motherוַתֹּאמֶרvat/TO/merand saidרָחֵלRa/CHELRachelאֶל־לֵאָהel-Le/Ato Leahתְּנִי־נָאte/NI-nagive I prayלִיlimeמִדּוּדָאֵיmid/du/da/Eof the mandrakes ofבְּנֵךְ׃be/NEKHyour son

    And Reuben went in the days of wheat harvest, and found mandrakes in the field, and brought them unto his mother Leah. Then Rachel said to Leah, Give me, I pray thee, of thy son's mandrakes.

    וַתֹּאמֶרvat/TO/merand saidלָהּlato herהַמְעַטham/ATis it a small thingקַחְתֵּךְkach/TEKHthat you have takenאֶת־אִישִׁיet-i/SHImy husbandוְלָקַחַתve/la/KA/chatand to takeגַּםgamalsoאֶת־דּוּדָאֵיet-du/da/Ethe mandrakes ofבְּנִיbe/NImy sonוַתֹּאמֶרvat/TO/merand saidרָחֵלRa/CHELRachelלָכֵןla/KHENthereforeיִשְׁכַּבyish/KAVhe shall lie downעִמָּךְim/MAKHwith youהַלַּיְלָהhal/LAY/latonightתַּחַתTA/chatforדּוּדָאֵיdu/da/Ethe mandrakes ofבְנֵךְ׃ve/NEKHyour son

    And she said unto her, Is it a small matter that thou hast taken my husband? and wouldest thou take away my son's mandrakes also? And Rachel said, Therefore he shall lie with thee to night for thy son's mandrakes.

    וַיָּבֹאvay/ya/VOand cameיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVJacobמִן־הַשָּׂדֶהmin-has/sa/DEfrom the fieldבָּעֶרֶבba/E/revin the eveningוַתֵּצֵאvat/te/TSEand went outלֵאָהLe/ALeahלִקְרָאתוֹlik/ra/TOto meet himוַתֹּאמֶרvat/TO/merand saidאֵלַיe/LAYto meתָּבוֹאta/VOyou shall come inכִּיkiforשָׂכֹרsa/KHORhireשְׂכַרְתִּיךָse/khar/TI/khaI have hired youבְּדוּדָאֵיbe/du/da/Efor the mandrakes ofבְּנִיbe/NImy sonוַיִּשְׁכַּבvay/yish/KAVand he layעִמָּהּim/MAwith herבַּלַּיְלָהbal/LAY/lain the nightהוּא׃huthat

    And Jacob came out of the field in the evening, and Leah went out to meet him, and said, Thou must come in unto me; for surely I have hired thee with my son's mandrakes. And he lay with her that night.

    וַיִּשְׁמַעvay/yish/MAand hearkenedאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodאֶל־לֵאָהel-Le/Ato Leahוַתַּהַרvat/TA/harand she conceivedוַתֵּלֶדvat/TE/ledand boreלְיַעֲקֹבle/Ya/a/KOVto Jacobבֵּןbena sonחֲמִישִׁי׃cha/mi/SHIfifth

    And God hearkened unto Leah, and she conceived, and bare Jacob the fifth son.

18. 18

    וַתֹּאמֶרvat/TO/merand saidלֵאָהLe/ALeahנָתַןna/TANhas givenאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodשְׂכָרִיse/kha/RImy hireאֲשֶׁר־נָתַתִּיa/SHER-na/TAT/tibecause I have givenשִׁפְחָתִיshif/cha/TImy handmaidלְאִישִׁיle/i/SHIto my husbandוַתִּקְרָאvat/tik/RAand she calledשְׁמוֹshe/MOhis nameיִשָּׂשכָר׃Yis/sash/KHARIssachar

    And Leah said, God hath given me my hire, because I have given my maiden to my husband: and she called his name Issachar.

19. 19

    וַתַּהַרvat/TA/harand she conceivedעוֹדodagainלֵאָהLe/ALeahוַתֵּלֶדvat/TE/ledand boreבֵּן־שִׁשִּׁיben-shish/SHIa sixth sonלְיַעֲקֹב׃le/Ya/a/KOVto Jacob

    And Leah conceived again, and bare Jacob the sixth son.

20. 20

    וַתֹּאמֶרvat/TO/merand saidלֵאָהLe/ALeahזְבָדַנִיze/va/DA/nihas endowed meאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodאֹתִיo/TImeזֵבֶדZE/veda dowryטוֹבtovgoodהַפַּעַםhap/PA/amthis timeיִזְבְּלֵנִיyiz/be/LE/niwill dwell with meאִישִׁיi/SHImy husbandכִּי־יָלַדְתִּיki-ya/LAD/tibecause I have borneלוֹloto himשִׁשָּׁהshish/SHAsixבָנִיםva/NIMsonsוַתִּקְרָאvat/tik/RAand she calledאֶת־שְׁמוֹet-she/MOhis nameזְבֻלוּן׃Ze/vu/LUNZebulun

    And Leah said, God hath endued me with a good dowry; now will my husband dwell with me, because I have born him six sons: and she called his name Zebulun.

21. 21

    וְאַחַרve/a/CHARand afterwardsיָלְדָהya/le/DAshe boreבַּתbata daughterוַתִּקְרָאvat/tik/RAand she calledאֶת־שְׁמָהּet-she/MAher nameדִּינָה׃Di/NADinah

    And afterwards she bare a daughter, and called her name Dinah.

22. 22

    וַיִּזְכֹּרvay/yiz/KORand rememberedאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodאֶת־רָחֵלet-Ra/CHELRachelוַיִּשְׁמַעvay/yish/MAand hearkenedאֵלֶיהָe/LE/hato herאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodוַיִּפְתַּחvay/yif/TACHand He openedאֶת־רַחְמָהּ׃et-rach/MAher womb

    And God remembered Rachel, and God hearkened to her, and opened her womb.

23. 23

    וַתַּהַרvat/TA/harand she conceivedוַתֵּלֶדvat/TE/ledand boreבֵּןbena sonוַתֹּאמֶרvat/TO/merand saidאָסַףa/SAFhas taken awayאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodאֶת־חֶרְפָּתִי׃et-cher/pa/TImy reproach

    And she conceived, and bare a son; and said, God hath taken away my reproach:

24. 24

    וַתִּקְרָאvat/tik/RAand she calledאֶת־שְׁמוֹet-she/MOhis nameיוֹסֵףYo/SEFJosephלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingיֹסֵףyo/SEFmay addיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDלִיlito meבֵּןbena sonאַחֵר׃a/CHERanother

    And she called his name Joseph; and said, The LORD shall add to me another son.

25. 25

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERwhenיָלְדָהya/le/DAshe boreרָחֵלRa/CHELRachelאֶת־יוֹסֵףet-Yo/SEFJosephוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVJacobאֶל־לָבָןel-La/VANto Labanשַׁלְּחֵנִיshal/le/CHE/nisend me awayוְאֵלְכָהve/el/KHAthat I may goאֶל־מְקוֹמִיel-me/ko/MIto my placeוּלְאַרְצִי׃u/le/ar/TSIand to my land

    And it came to pass, when Rachel had born Joseph, that Jacob said unto Laban, Send me away, that I may go unto mine own place, and to my country.

26. 26

    תְּנָהte/NAgiveאֶת־נָשַׁיet-na/SHAYmy wivesוְאֶת־יְלָדַיve/ET-ye/la/DAYand my childrenאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichעָבַדְתִּיa/VAD/tiI have servedאֹתְךָot/KHAyouבָּהֵןba/HENfor themוְאֵלֵכָהve/e/LE/khaand let me goכִּיkibecauseאַתָּהat/TAyouיָדַעְתָּya/DA/tayou knowאֶת־עֲבֹדָתִיet-a/vo/da/TImy serviceאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichעֲבַדְתִּיךָ׃a/vad/TI/khaI have served you

    Give me my wives and my children, for whom I have served thee, and let me go: for thou knowest my service which I have done thee.

27. 27

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himלָבָןLa/VANLabanאִם־נָאim-naif I prayמָצָאתִיma/TSA/tiI have foundחֵןchenfavorבְּעֵינֶיךָbe/e/NE/khain your eyesנִחַשְׁתִּיni/CHASH/tiI have divinedוַיְבָרְכֵנִיvay/va/re/KHE/niand has blessed meיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבִּגְלָלֶךָ׃big/la/LE/khafor your sake

    And Laban said unto him, I pray thee, if I have found favour in thine eyes, tarry: for I have learned by experience that the LORD hath blessed me for thy sake.

28. 28

    וַיֹּאמַרvay/yo/MARand saidנׇקְבָהnok/VAappointשְׂכָרְךָse/kha/re/KHAyour wagesעָלַיa/LAYupon meוְאֶתֵּנָה׃ve/et/TE/naand I will give it

    And he said, Appoint me thy wages, and I will give it.

29. 29

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himאַתָּהat/TAyouיָדַעְתָּya/DA/tayou knowאֵת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERhowעֲבַדְתִּיךָa/vad/TI/khaI have served youוְאֵתve/ETandאֲשֶׁר־הָיָהa/SHER-ha/YAhow wasמִקְנְךָmik/ne/KHAyour livestockאִתִּי׃it/TIwith me

    And he said unto him, Thou knowest how I have served thee, and how thy cattle was with me.

30. 30

    כִּיkiforמְעַטme/ATa littleאֲשֶׁר־הָיָהa/SHER-ha/YAwhich wasלְךָle/KHAyou hadלְפָנַיle/fa/NAYbefore meוַיִּפְרֹץvay/yif/ROTSand it has increasedלָרֹבla/ROVin abundanceוַיְבָרֶךְvay/VA/rekhand blessedיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֹתְךָot/KHAyouלְרַגְלִיle/rag/LIat my footוְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowמָתַיma/TAYwhenאֶעֱשֶׂהe/e/SEshall I provideגַם־אָנֹכִיgam-a/no/KHII alsoלְבֵיתִי׃le/ve/TIfor my own house

    For it was little which thou hadst before I came, and it is now increased unto a multitude; and the LORD hath blessed thee since my coming: and now when shall I provide for mine own house also?

31. 31

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidמָהmawhatאֶתֶּן־לָךְet/TEN-lakhshall I give youוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVJacobלֹא־תִתֶּן־לִיlo-tit/TEN-liyou shall not give meמְאוּמָהme/U/maanythingאִם־תַּעֲשֶׂה־לִּיim-ta/a/SE-liif you will do for meהַדָּבָרhad/da/VARthe thingהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisאָשׁוּבָהa/SHU/vaI will againאֶרְעֶהer/EI will tendצֹאנְךָtso/ne/KHAyour flockאֶשְׁמֹר׃esh/MORI will keep

    And he said, What shall I give thee? And Jacob said, Thou shalt not give me any thing: if thou wilt do this thing for me, I will again feed and keep thy flock:

32. 32

    אֶעֱבֹרe/e/VORlet me passבְּכׇל־צֹאנְךָbe/KHOL-tso/ne/KHAin all your flockהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthe dayהָסֵרha/SERremovingמִשָּׁםmish/SHAMfrom thereכׇּל־שֶׂהkol-seevery sheepנָקֹדna/KODspeckledוְטָלוּאve/ta/LUand spottedוְכׇל־שֶׂה־חוּםve/KHOL-se-chumand every dark sheepבַּכְּשָׂבִיםbak/ke/sa/VIMamong the sheepוְטָלוּאve/ta/LUand spottedוְנָקֹדve/na/KODand speckledבָּעִזִּיםba/iz/ZIMamong the goatsוְהָיָהve/ha/YAand shall beשְׂכָרִי׃se/kha/RImy wages

    I will pass through all thy flock to day, removing from thence all the speckled and spotted cattle, and all the brown cattle among the sheep, and the spotted and speckled among the goats: and of such shall be my hire.

33. 33

    וְעָנְתָה־בִּיve/AN/ta-biand shall answer for meצִדְקָתִיtsid/ka/TImy righteousnessבְּיוֹםbe/YOMin the day ofמָחָרma/CHARtomorrowכִּי־תָבוֹאki-ta/VOwhen it shall comeעַל־שְׂכָרִיal-se/kha/RIconcerning my wagesלְפָנֶיךָle/fa/NE/khabefore youכֹּלkolallאֲשֶׁר־אֵינֶנּוּa/SHER-e/NEN/nuthat is notנָקֹדna/KODspeckledוְטָלוּאve/ta/LUand spottedבָּעִזִּיםba/iz/ZIMamong the goatsוְחוּםve/CHUMand darkבַּכְּשָׂבִיםbak/ke/sa/VIMamong the sheepגָּנוּבga/NUVstolenהוּאhuitאִתִּי׃it/TIwith me

    So shall my righteousness answer for me in time to come, when it shall come for my hire before thy face: every one that is not speckled and spotted among the goats, and brown among the sheep, that shall be counted stolen with me.

34. 34

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidלָבָןLa/VANLabanהֵןhenbeholdלוּluwould thatיְהִיye/HIit might beכִדְבָרֶךָ׃khid/va/RE/khaaccording to your word

    And Laban said, Behold, I would it might be according to thy word.

35. 35

    וַיָּסַרvay/YA/sarand he removedבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMin the dayהַהוּאha/HUthatאֶת־הַתְּיָשִׁיםet-hat/te/ya/SHIMthe male goatsהָעֲקֻדִּיםha/a/kud/DIMthe stripedוְהַטְּלֻאִיםve/hat/te/lu/IMand the spottedוְאֵתve/ETandכׇּל־הָעִזִּיםkol-ha/iz/ZIMall the goatsהַנְּקֻדּוֹתhan/ne/kud/DOTthe speckledוְהַטְּלֻאֹתve/hat/te/lu/OTand the spottedכֹּלkolallאֲשֶׁר־לָבָןa/SHER-la/VANthat had whiteבּוֹboon itוְכׇל־חוּםve/KHOL-chumand all darkבַּכְּשָׂבִיםbak/ke/sa/VIMamong the sheepוַיִּתֵּןvay/yit/TENand gaveבְּיַד־בָּנָיו׃be/YAD-ba/NAYVin the hand of his sons

    And he removed that day the he goats that were ringstraked and spotted, and all the she goats that were speckled and spotted, and every one that had some white in it, and all the brown among the sheep, and gave them into the hand of his sons.

36. 36

    וַיָּשֶׂםvay/YA/semand he setדֶּרֶךְDE/rekha journey ofשְׁלֹשֶׁתshe/LO/shetthreeיָמִיםya/MIMdaysבֵּינוֹbe/NObetween himselfוּבֵיןu/VENand betweenיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVJacobוְיַעֲקֹבve/Ya/a/KOVand Jacobרֹעֶהro/Efedאֶת־צֹאןet-tsonthe flocks ofלָבָןLa/VANLabanהַנּוֹתָרֹת׃han/no/ta/ROTthe rest

    And he set three days' journey betwixt himself and Jacob: and Jacob fed the rest of Laban's flocks.

37. 37

    וַיִּקַּח־לוֹvay/yik/KACH-loand took himיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVJacobמַקַּלmak/KALrods ofלִבְנֶהliv/NEpoplarלַחlachgreenוְלוּזve/LUZand almondוְעַרְמוֹןve/ar/MONand plane treeוַיְפַצֵּלvay/fats/TSELand he strippedבָּהֵןba/HENin themפְּצָלוֹתpe/tsa/LOTstripsלְבָנוֹתle/va/NOTwhiteמַחְשֹׂףmach/SOFthe peeling ofהַלָּבָןhal/la/VANthe white woodאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichעַל־הַמַּקְלוֹת׃al-ham/mak/LOTupon the rods

    And Jacob took him rods of green poplar, and of the hazel and chesnut tree; and pilled white strakes in them, and made the white appear which was in the rods.

    וַיַּצֵּגvay/yats/TSEGand he placedאֶת־הַמַּקְלוֹתet-ham/mak/LOTthe rodsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhereפִּצֵּלpits/TSELhe had peeledבָּרְהָטִיםba/re/ha/TIMin the guttersבְּשִׁקְתוֹתbe/shik/TOTin the watering troughs ofהַמָּיִםham/MA/yimthe waterאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhereתָּבֹאןָta/VO/nathey cameהַצֹּאןhats/TSONthe flockלִשְׁתּוֹתlish/TOTto drinkלְנֹכַחle/NO/khachbeforeהַצֹּאןhats/TSONthe flockוַיֵּחַמְנָהvay/ye/CHAM/naand they matedבְּבֹאָןbe/vo/ANwhen they cameלִשְׁתּוֹת׃lish/TOTto drink

    And he set the rods which he had pilled before the flocks in the gutters in the watering troughs when the flocks came to drink, that they should conceive when they came to drink.

39. 39

    וַיֶּחֱמוּvay/ye/che/MUand they matedהַצֹּאןhats/TSONthe flockאֶל־הַמַּקְלוֹתel-ham/mak/LOTbefore the rodsוַתֵּלַדְןָvat/te/LAD/naand they boreהַצֹּאןhats/TSONthe flockעֲקֻדִּיםa/kud/DIMstriped onesנְקֻדִּיםne/kud/DIMspeckled onesוּטְלֻאִים׃u/te/lu/IMand spotted ones

    And the flocks conceived before the rods, and brought forth cattle ringstraked, speckled, and spotted.

40. 40

    וְהַכְּשָׂבִיםve/hak/ke/sa/VIMand the lambsהִפְרִידhif/RIDhe separatedיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVJacobוַיִּתֵּןvay/yit/TENand setפְּנֵיpe/NEthe faces ofהַצֹּאןhats/TSONthe flockאֶל־עָקֹדel-a/KODtoward the stripedוְכׇל־חוּםve/KHOL-chumand all darkבְּצֹאןbe/TSONin the flock ofלָבָןLa/VANLabanוַיָּשֶׁת־לוֹvay/YA/shet-loand he set for himselfעֲדָרִיםa/da/RIMflocksלְבַדּוֹle/vad/DOapartוְלֹאve/LOand notשָׁתָםsha/TAMhe set themעַל־צֹאןal-tsonwith the flock ofלָבָן׃La/VANLaban

    And Jacob did separate the lambs, and set the faces of the flocks toward the ringstraked, and all the brown in the flock of Laban; and he put his own flocks by themselves, and put them not unto Laban's cattle.

41. 41

    וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it wasבְּכׇל־יַחֵםbe/KHOL-ya/CHEMwhenever conceivedהַצֹּאןhats/TSONthe flockהַמְקֻשָּׁרוֹתham/kush/sha/ROTthe strongerוְשָׂםve/SAMand setיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVJacobאֶת־הַמַּקְלוֹתet-ham/mak/LOTthe rodsלְעֵינֵיle/e/NEbefore the eyes ofהַצֹּאןhats/TSONthe flockבָּרְהָטִיםba/re/ha/TIMin the guttersלְיַחְמֵנָּהle/yach/MEN/nathat they might conceiveבַּמַּקְלוֹת׃bam/mak/LOTamong the rods

    And it came to pass, whensoever the stronger cattle did conceive, that Jacob laid the rods before the eyes of the cattle in the gutters, that they might conceive among the rods.

42. 42

    וּבְהַעֲטִיףu/ve/ha/a/TIFand when was feebleהַצֹּאןhats/TSONthe flockלֹאlonotיָשִׂיםya/SIMhe set themוְהָיָהve/ha/YAso wereהָעֲטֻפִיםha/a/tu/FIMthe enfeebled onesלְלָבָןle/La/VANto Labanוְהַקְּשֻׁרִיםve/hak/ke/shu/RIMand the strongerלְיַעֲקֹב׃le/Ya/a/KOVto Jacob

    But when the cattle were feeble, he put them not in: so the feebler were Laban's, and the stronger Jacob's.

43. 43

    וַיִּפְרֹץvay/yif/ROTSand increasedהָאִישׁha/ISHthe manמְאֹדme/ODexceedinglyמְאֹדme/ODexceedinglyוַיְהִי־לוֹvay/HI-loand he hadצֹאןtsonflocksרַבּוֹתrab/BOTmanyוּשְׁפָחוֹתu/she/fa/CHOTand maidservantsוַעֲבָדִיםva/a/va/DIMand menservantsוּגְמַלִּיםu/ge/mal/LIMand camelsוַחֲמֹרִים׃va/cha/mo/RIMand donkeys

    And the man increased exceedingly, and had much cattle, and maidservants, and menservants, and camels, and asses.
