   וַיֹּסֶףvay/YO/sefand addedאַבְרָהָםAv/ra/HAMAbrahamוַיִּקַּחvay/yik/KACHand tookאִשָּׁהish/SHAa wifeוּשְׁמָהּu/she/MAand her nameקְטוּרָה׃Ke/tu/RAKeturah

   Then again Abraham took a wife, and her name was Keturah.

2. 2

   וַתֵּלֶדvat/TE/ledand boreלוֹloto himאֶת־זִמְרָןet-Zim/RANZimranוְאֶת־יׇקְשָׁןve/ET-yok/SHANand Jokshanוְאֶת־מְדָןve/ET-me/DANand Medanוְאֶת־מִדְיָןve/ET-mid/YANand Midianוְאֶת־יִשְׁבָּקve/ET-yish/BAKand Ishbakוְאֶת־שׁוּחַ׃ve/ET-SHU/achand Shuah

   And she bare him Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah.

   And Jokshan begat Sheba, and Dedan. And the sons of Dedan were Asshurim, and Letushim, and Leummim.

   וּבְנֵיu/ve/NEand the sons ofמִדְיָןMid/YANMidianעֵיפָהE/FAEphahוָעֵפֶרva/E/ferand Epherוַחֲנֹךְva/Cha/NOKHand Hanochוַאֲבִידָעva/A/vi/DAand Abidaוְאֶלְדָּעָהve/El/da/Aand Eldaahכׇּל־אֵלֶּהkol-EL/leall theseבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofקְטוּרָה׃Ke/tu/RAKeturah

   And the sons of Midian; Ephah, and Epher, and Hanoch, and Abidah, and Eldaah. All these were the children of Keturah.

   וַיִּתֵּןvay/yit/TENand gaveאַבְרָהָםAv/ra/HAMAbrahamאֶת־כׇּל־אֲשֶׁר־לוֹet-kol-a/SHER-loall that he hadלְיִצְחָק׃le/Yits/CHAKto Isaac

   And Abraham gave all that he had unto Isaac.

   וְלִבְנֵיve/liv/NEand to the sons ofהַפִּילַגְשִׁיםhap/pi/lag/SHIMthe concubinesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichלְאַבְרָהָםLe/av/ra/HAMAbraham hadנָתַןna/TANgaveאַבְרָהָםAv/ra/HAMAbrahamמַתָּנֹתmat/ta/NOTgiftsוַיְשַׁלְּחֵםvay/shal/le/CHEMand sent them awayמֵעַלme/ALfromיִצְחָקYits/CHAKIsaacבְּנוֹbe/NOhis sonבְּעוֹדֶנּוּbe/o/DEN/nuwhile he yetחַיchaylivedקֵדְמָהKED/maeastwardאֶל־אֶרֶץel-E/retsto the land ofקֶדֶם׃KE/demthe east

   But unto the sons of the concubines, which Abraham had, Abraham gave gifts, and sent them away from Isaac his son, while he yet lived, eastward, unto the east country.

   וְאֵלֶּהve/EL/leand these areיְמֵיye/MEthe days ofשְׁנֵי־חַיֵּיshe/NE-chay/YEthe years of the life ofאַבְרָהָםAv/ra/HAMAbrahamאֲשֶׁר־חָיa/SHER-chaywhich he livedמְאַתme/ATa hundredשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsוְשִׁבְעִיםve/shiv/IMand seventyשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsוְחָמֵשׁve/cha/MESHand fiveשָׁנִים׃sha/NIMyears

   And these are the days of the years of Abraham's life which he lived, an hundred threescore and fifteen years.

8. 8

   וַיִּגְוַעvay/yig/VAand he gave up the ghostוַיָּמׇתvay/YA/motand he diedאַבְרָהָםAv/ra/HAMAbrahamבְּשֵׂיבָהbe/se/VAin old ageטוֹבָהto/VAgoodזָקֵןza/KENan old manוְשָׂבֵעַve/sa/VE/aand satisfiedוַיֵּאָסֶףvay/ye/A/sefand he was gatheredאֶל־עַמָּיו׃el-am/MAYVto his people

   Then Abraham gave up the ghost, and died in a good old age, an old man, and full of years; and was gathered to his people.

   וַיִּקְבְּרוּvay/yik/be/RUand they buriedאֹתוֹo/TOhimיִצְחָקYits/CHAKIsaacוְיִשְׁמָעֵאלve/Yish/ma/ELand Ishmaelבָּנָיוba/NAYVhis sonsאֶל־מְעָרַתel-me/a/RATin the cave ofהַמַּכְפֵּלָהHam/makh/pe/LAMachpelahאֶל־שְׂדֵהel-se/DEin the field ofעֶפְרֹןEf/RONEphronבֶּן־צֹחַרben-TSO/charthe son of Zoharהַחִתִּיha/Chit/TIthe Hittiteאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhich isעַל־פְּנֵיal-pe/NEbeforeמַמְרֵא׃Mam/REMamre

   And his sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the cave of Machpelah, in the field of Ephron the son of Zohar the Hittite, which is before Mamre;

    הַשָּׂדֶהhas/sa/DEthe fieldאֲשֶׁר־קָנָהa/SHER-ka/NAwhich purchasedאַבְרָהָםAv/ra/HAMAbrahamמֵאֵתme/ETofבְּנֵי־חֵתbe/NE-chetthe sons of HethשָׁמָּהSHAM/mathereקֻבַּרkub/BARwas buriedאַבְרָהָםAv/ra/HAMAbrahamוְשָׂרָהve/Sa/RAand Sarahאִשְׁתּוֹ׃ish/TOhis wife

    The field which Abraham purchased of the sons of Heth: there was Abraham buried, and Sarah his wife.

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterמוֹתmotthe death ofאַבְרָהָםAv/ra/HAMAbrahamוַיְבָרֶךְvay/VA/rekhand blessedאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodאֶת־יִצְחָקet-Yits/CHAKIsaacבְּנוֹbe/NOhis sonוַיֵּשֶׁבvay/YE/shevand he dweltיִצְחָקYits/CHAKIsaacעִם־בְּאֵרim-Be/ERby Beer-לַחַיla/CHAYlahai-רֹאִי׃RO/iroi

    And it came to pass after the death of Abraham, that God blessed his son Isaac; and Isaac dwelt by the well Lahai-roi.

12. 12

    וְאֵלֶּהve/EL/leand theseתֹּלְדֹתtol/DOTthe generations ofיִשְׁמָעֵאלYish/ma/ELIshmaelבֶּן־אַבְרָהָםben-Av/ra/HAMAbraham's sonאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomיָלְדָהya/le/DAshe boreהָגָרHa/GARHagarהַמִּצְרִיתham/Mits/RITthe Egyptianשִׁפְחַתshif/CHATthe handmaid ofשָׂרָהSa/RASarahלְאַבְרָהָם׃le/Av/ra/HAMto Abraham

    Now these are the generations of Ishmael, Abraham's son, whom Hagar the Egyptian, Sarah's handmaid, bare unto Abraham:

13. 13

    וְאֵלֶּהve/EL/leand theseשְׁמוֹתshe/MOTthe names ofבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofיִשְׁמָעֵאלYish/ma/ELIshmaelבִּשְׁמֹתָםbish/mo/TAMby their namesלְתוֹלְדֹתָםle/tol/do/TAMaccording to their generationsבְּכֹרbe/KHORthe firstborn ofיִשְׁמָעֵאלYish/ma/ELIshmaelנְבָיֹתNe/va/YOTNebaiothוְקֵדָרve/Ke/DARand Kedarוְאַדְבְּאֵלve/Ad/be/ELand Adbeelוּמִבְשָׂם׃u/Miv/SAMand Mibsam

    And these are the names of the sons of Ishmael, by their names, according to their generations: the firstborn of Ishmael, Nebajoth; and Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,

14. 14

    וּמִשְׁמָעu/Mish/MAand Mishmaוְדוּמָהve/Du/MAand Dumahוּמַשָּׂא׃u/Mas/SAand Massa

    And Mishma, and Dumah, and Massa,

15. 15

    חֲדַדCha/DADHadadוְתֵימָאve/Te/MAand TemaיְטוּרYe/TURJeturנָפִישׁNa/FISHNaphishוָקֵדְמָה׃va/KED/maand Kedemah

    Hadar, and Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah:

16. 16

    אֵלֶּהEL/letheseהֵםhemareבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofיִשְׁמָעֵאלYish/ma/ELIshmaelוְאֵלֶּהve/EL/leand theseשְׁמֹתָםshe/mo/TAMtheir namesבְּחַצְרֵיהֶםbe/chats/re/HEMby their villagesוּבְטִירֹתָםu/ve/ti/ro/TAMand by their encampmentsשְׁנֵים־עָשָׂרshe/NEM-a/SARtwelveנְשִׂיאִםne/si/IMprincesלְאֻמֹּתָם׃le/um/mo/TAMaccording to their nations

    These are the sons of Ishmael, and these are their names, by their towns, and by their castles; twelve princes according to their nations.

17. 17

    וְאֵלֶּהve/EL/leand theseשְׁנֵיshe/NEthe years ofחַיֵּיchay/YEthe life ofיִשְׁמָעֵאלYish/ma/ELIshmaelמְאַתme/ATa hundredשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsוּשְׁלֹשִׁיםu/she/lo/SHIMand thirtyשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsוְשֶׁבַעve/SHE/vaand sevenשָׁנִיםsha/NIMyearsוַיִּגְוַעvay/yig/VAand he gave up the ghostוַיָּמׇתvay/YA/motand he diedוַיֵּאָסֶףvay/ye/A/sefand he was gatheredאֶל־עַמָּיו׃el-am/MAYVto his people

    And these are the years of the life of Ishmael, an hundred and thirty and seven years: and he gave up the ghost and died; and was gathered unto his people.

18. 18

    וַיִּשְׁכְּנוּvay/yish/ke/NUand they dweltמֵחֲוִילָהme/Cha/vi/LAfrom Havilahעַד־שׁוּרad-Shurunto Shurאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat isעַל־פְּנֵיal-pe/NEbeforeמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptבֹּאֲכָהbo/a/KHAas you goאַשּׁוּרָהAsh/SHU/ratoward Assyriaעַל־פְּנֵיal-pe/NEbeforeכׇל־אֶחָיוkhol-e/CHAYVall his brethrenנָפָל׃na/FALhe settled

    And they dwelt from Havilah unto Shur, that is before Egypt, as thou goest toward Assyria: and he died in the presence of all his brethren.

19. 19

    וְאֵלֶּהve/EL/leand theseתּוֹלְדֹתtol/DOTthe generations ofיִצְחָקYits/CHAKIsaacבֶּן־אַבְרָהָםben-Av/ra/HAMAbraham's sonאַבְרָהָםAv/ra/HAMAbrahamהוֹלִידho/LIDbegatאֶת־יִצְחָק׃et-Yits/CHAKIsaac

    And these are the generations of Isaac, Abraham's son: Abraham begat Isaac:

20. 20

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand wasיִצְחָקYits/CHAKIsaacבֶּן־אַרְבָּעִיםben-ar/ba/IMa son of fortyשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsבְּקַחְתּוֹbe/kach/TOwhen he tookאֶת־רִבְקָהet-Riv/KARebekahבַּת־בְּתוּאֵלbat-Be/tu/ELthe daughter of Bethuelהָאֲרַמִּיha/A/ram/MIthe Syrianמִפַּדַּןmip/Pad/DANof Padan-אֲרָםa/RAMaramאֲחוֹתa/CHOTthe sister ofלָבָןLa/VANLabanהָאֲרַמִּיha/A/ram/MIthe Syrianלוֹloto himלְאִשָּׁה׃le/ish/SHAto wife

    And Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah to wife, the daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Padan-aram, the sister to Laban the Syrian.

21. 21

    וַיֶּעְתַּרvay/ye/TARand entreatedיִצְחָקYits/CHAKIsaacלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaito the LORDלְנֹכַחle/NO/khachforאִשְׁתּוֹish/TOhis wifeכִּיkibecauseעֲקָרָהa/ka/RAwas barrenהִואhivsheוַיֵּעָתֶרvay/ye/A/terand was entreatedלוֹloof himיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוַתַּהַרvat/TA/harand she conceivedרִבְקָהRiv/KARebekahאִשְׁתּוֹ׃ish/TOhis wife

    And Isaac intreated the LORD for his wife, because she was barren: and the LORD was intreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived.

22. 22

    וַיִּתְרֹצְצוּvay/yit/rots/TSUand they struggled togetherהַבָּנִיםhab/ba/NIMthe childrenבְּקִרְבָּהּbe/kir/BAwithin herוַתֹּאמֶרvat/TO/merand saidאִם־כֵּןim-kenif soלָמָּהLAM/mawhyזֶּהzethisאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIוַתֵּלֶךְvat/TE/lekhand she wentלִדְרֹשׁlid/ROSHto inquire ofאֶת־יְהֹוָה׃et-Adonaithe LORD

    And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If it be so, why am I thus? And she went to enquire of the LORD.

23. 23

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDלָהּlato herשְׁנֵיshe/NEtwo[גוֹיִם]go/YIMnationsבְּבִטְנֵךְbe/vit/NEKHare in your wombוּשְׁנֵיu/she/NEand twoלְאֻמִּיםle/um/MIMpeoplesמִמֵּעַיִךְmim/me/A/yikhfrom your bowelsיִפָּרֵדוּyip/pa/RE/dushall be separatedוּלְאֹםu/le/OMand the one peopleמִלְאֹםmil/OMthan the other peopleיֶאֱמָץye/e/MATSshall be strongerוְרַבve/RAVand the elderיַעֲבֹדya/a/VODshall serveצָעִיר׃tsa/IRthe younger

    And the LORD said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger.

24. 24

    וַיִּמְלְאוּvay/yim/le/Uand were fulfilledיָמֶיהָya/ME/haher daysלָלֶדֶתla/LE/detto be deliveredוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdתוֹמִםto/MIMtwinsבְּבִטְנָהּ׃be/vit/NAin her womb

    And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, there were twins in her womb.

25. 25

    וַיֵּצֵאvay/ye/TSEand came outהָרִאשׁוֹןha/ri/SHONthe firstאַדְמוֹנִיad/mo/NIredכֻּלּוֹkul/LOall overכְּאַדֶּרֶתke/ad/DE/retlike a mantle ofשֵׂעָרse/ARhairוַיִּקְרְאוּvay/yik/re/Uand they calledשְׁמוֹshe/MOhis nameעֵשָׂו׃E/SAVEsau

    And the first came out red, all over like an hairy garment; and they called his name Esau.

26. 26

    וְאַחֲרֵי־כֵןve/a/cha/RE-khenand after thatיָצָאya/TSAcame outאָחִיוa/CHIVhis brotherוְיָדוֹve/ya/DOand his handאֹחֶזֶתo/CHE/zettook holdבַּעֲקֵבba/a/KEVon the heel ofעֵשָׂוE/SAVEsauוַיִּקְרָאvay/yik/RAand calledשְׁמוֹshe/MOhis nameיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVJacobוְיִצְחָקve/Yits/CHAKand Isaacבֶּן־שִׁשִּׁיםben-shish/SHIMa son of sixtyשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsבְּלֶדֶתbe/LE/detwhen she boreאֹתָם׃o/TAMthem

    And after that came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Esau's heel; and his name was called Jacob: and Isaac was threescore years old when she bare them.

27. 27

    וַיִּגְדְּלוּvay/yig/de/LUand grewהַנְּעָרִיםhan/ne/a/RIMthe boysוַיְהִיvay/HIand wasעֵשָׂוE/SAVEsauאִישׁisha manיֹדֵעַyo/DE/aknowingצַיִדTSA/yidhuntingאִישׁisha manשָׂדֶהsa/DEof the fieldוְיַעֲקֹבve/Ya/a/KOVand Jacobאִישׁisha manתָּםtamplainיֹשֵׁבyo/SHEVdwelling inאֹהָלִים׃o/ha/LIMtents

    And the boys grew: and Esau was a cunning hunter, a man of the field; and Jacob was a plain man, dwelling in tents.

28. 28

    וַיֶּאֱהַבvay/ye/e/HAVand he lovedיִצְחָקYits/CHAKIsaacאֶת־עֵשָׂוet-E/SAVEsauכִּי־צַיִדki-TSA/yidbecause venisonבְּפִיוbe/FIVwas in his mouthוְרִבְקָהve/Riv/KAand Rebekahאֹהֶבֶתo/HE/vetlovedאֶת־יַעֲקֹב׃et-Ya/a/KOVJacob

    And Isaac loved Esau, because he did eat of his venison: but Rebekah loved Jacob.

29. 29

    וַיָּזֶדvay/YA/zedand boiledיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVJacobנָזִידna/ZIDpottageוַיָּבֹאvay/ya/VOand cameעֵשָׂוE/SAVEsauמִן־הַשָּׂדֶהmin-has/sa/DEfrom the fieldוְהוּאve/HUand heעָיֵף׃a/YEFwas faint

    And Jacob sod pottage: and Esau came from the field, and he was faint:

30. 30

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidעֵשָׂוE/SAVEsauאֶל־יַעֲקֹבel-Ya/a/KOVto Jacobהַלְעִיטֵנִיhal/i/TE/nifeed meנָאnaI prayמִן־הָאָדֹםmin-ha/a/DOMwith the redהָאָדֹםha/a/DOMredהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisכִּיkiforעָיֵףa/YEFfaintאָנֹכִיa/no/KHII amעַל־כֵּןal-kenthereforeקָרָא־שְׁמוֹka/RA-she/MOwas his name calledאֱדוֹם׃E/DOMEdom

    And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom.

31. 31

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVJacobמִכְרָהmikh/RAsellכַיּוֹםkhay/YOMthis dayאֶת־בְּכֹרָתְךָet-be/kho/ra/te/KHAyour birthrightלִי׃lito me

    And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright.

32. 32

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidעֵשָׂוE/SAVEsauהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIהוֹלֵךְho/LEKHam goingלָמוּתla/MUTto dieוְלָמָּה־זֶּהve/LAM/ma-zeand what thisלִיlito meבְּכֹרָה׃be/kho/RAbirthright

    And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me?

33. 33

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVJacobהִשָּׁבְעָהhish/SHAV/aswearלִּיlito meכַּיּוֹםkay/YOMthis dayוַיִּשָּׁבַעvay/yish/sha/VAand sworeלוֹloto himוַיִּמְכֹּרvay/yim/KORand he soldאֶת־בְּכֹרָתוֹet-be/kho/ra/TOhis birthrightלְיַעֲקֹב׃le/Ya/a/KOVto Jacob

    And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob.

34. 34

    וְיַעֲקֹבve/Ya/a/KOVand Jacobנָתַןna/TANgaveלְעֵשָׂוle/E/SAVto EsauלֶחֶםLE/chembreadוּנְזִידu/ne/ZIDand pottage ofעֲדָשִׁיםa/da/SHIMlentilsוַיֹּאכַלvay/YO/khaland he ateוַיֵּשְׁתְּvay/YESHTand drankוַיָּקׇםvay/YA/komand rose upוַיֵּלַךְvay/ye/LAKHand went his wayוַיִּבֶזvay/YI/vezand he despisedעֵשָׂוE/SAVEsauאֶת־הַבְּכֹרָה׃et-hab/be/kho/RAthe birthright

    Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright.
