Ezekiel 7 יְחֶזְקֵאל פרק ז׳

1. 1

   וַיְהִיand it came to passדְבַר־יְהֹוָהthe word of the LORDאֵלַיto meלֵאמֹר׃saying

   Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

   וְאַתָּהand youבֶן־אָדָםson of manכֹּה־אָמַרthus saysאֲדֹנָיLordיֱהֹוִהGODלְאַדְמַתto the land ofיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelקֵץendבָּאcameהַקֵּץthe endעַל־[אַרְבַּע]upon four-(ארבעת)כַּנְפוֹתquarters ofהָאָרֶץ׃the land

   Also, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD unto the land of Israel; An end, the end is come upon the four corners of the land.

3. 3

   עַתָּהnowהַקֵּץthe endעָלַיִךְupon youוְשִׁלַּחְתִּיand I will sendאַפִּיMy-angerבָּךְin youוּשְׁפַטְתִּיךְand I will judge youכִּדְרָכָיִךְaccording to your waysוְנָתַתִּיand I will giveעָלַיִךְupon youאֵת־כׇּל־תּוֹעֲבוֹתָיִךְ׃all your abominations

   Now is the end come upon thee, and I will send mine anger upon thee, and will judge thee according to thy ways, and will recompense upon thee all thine abominations.

4. 4

   וְלֹא־תָחוֹסand not it will look with pityעֵינִיmy eyeעָלַיִךְupon youוְלֹאand notאֶחְמוֹלI will show pityכִּיthatדְרָכַיִךְyour waysעָלַיִךְupon youאֶתֵּןI will giveוְתוֹעֲבוֹתַיִךְand your abominationsבְּתוֹכֵךְin the midst of youתִּהְיֶיןָthey will beוִידַעְתֶּםand you shall knowכִּי־אֲנִיthat I amיְהֹוָה׃the LORD

   And mine eye shall not spare thee, neither will I have pity: but I will recompense thy ways upon thee, and thine abominations shall be in the midst of thee: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

   כֹּהthusאָמַרsaidאֲדֹנָיLordיֱהֹוִהGODרָעָהevilאַחַתoneרָעָהevilהִנֵּהbeholdבָאָה׃is come

   Thus saith the Lord GOD; An evil, an only evil, behold, is come.

6. 6

   קֵץendבָּאcameבָּאcameהַקֵּץthe endהֵקִיץhe has awakenedאֵלָיִךְto youהִנֵּהbeholdבָּאָה׃comes

   An end is come, the end is come: it watcheth for thee; behold, it is come.

7. 7

   בָּאָהcomesהַצְּפִירָהthe dawnאֵלֶיךָto youיוֹשֵׁבO you that dwellהָאָרֶץthe landבָּאcameהָעֵתthe timeקָרוֹבsoonהַיּוֹםthe dayמְהוּמָהconfusionוְלֹא־הֵדand not joyful shoutingהָרִים׃mountains

   The morning is come unto thee, O thou that dwellest in the land: the time is come, the day of trouble is near, and not the sounding again of the mountains.

8. 8

   עַתָּהnowמִקָּרוֹבis from nearאֶשְׁפּוֹךְI will pour outחֲמָתִיMy-furyעָלַיִךְupon youוְכִלֵּיתִיand I will completeאַפִּיMy-angerבָּךְin youוּשְׁפַטְתִּיךְand I will judge youכִּדְרָכָיִךְaccording to your waysוְנָתַתִּיand I will giveעָלַיִךְupon youאֵת־כׇּל־תּוֹעֲבוֹתָיִךְ׃all your abominations

   Now will I shortly pour out my fury upon thee, and accomplish mine anger upon thee: and I will judge thee according to thy ways, and will recompense thee for all thine abominations.

9. 9

   וְלֹא־תָחוֹסand not it will look with pityעֵינִיmy eyeוְלֹאand notאֶחְמוֹלI will show pityכִּדְרָכַיִךְaccording to your waysעָלַיִךְupon youאֶתֵּןI will giveוְתוֹעֲבוֹתַיִךְand your abominationsבְּתוֹכֵךְin the midst of youתִּהְיֶיןָthey will beוִידַעְתֶּםand you shall knowכִּיthatאֲנִיIיְהֹוָהthe LORDמַכֶּה׃smiting

   And mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: I will recompense thee according to thy ways and thine abominations that are in the midst of thee; and ye shall know that I am the LORD that smiteth.

10. 10

    הִנֵּהbeholdהַיּוֹםthe dayהִנֵּהbeholdבָאָהis comeיָצְאָהwent forthהַצְּפִרָהthe dawnצָץit has blossomedהַמַּטֶּהthe staffפָּרַחit has broken outהַזָּדוֹן׃the arrogance

    Behold the day, behold, it is come: the morning is gone forth; the rod hath blossomed, pride hath budded.

11. 11

    הֶחָמָסviolenceקָםaroseלְמַטֵּה־רֶשַׁעinto a rod of wickednessלֹא־מֵהֶםnot of themוְלֹאand notמֵהֲמוֹנָםof their multitudeוְלֹאand notמֶהֱמֵהֶםof their tumultוְלֹא־נֹהַּneither wailingבָּהֶם׃in them

    Violence is risen up into a rod of wickedness: none of them shall remain, nor of their multitude, nor of any of theirs: neither shall there be wailing for them.

12. 12

    בָּאcameהָעֵתthe timeהִגִּיעַcome hasהַיּוֹםthe dayהַקּוֹנֶהthe buyerאַל־יִשְׂמָחdo not he will rejoiceוְהַמֹּכֵרand the sellerאַל־יִתְאַבָּלdo not he mournכִּיforחָרוֹןthe severity ofאֶל־כׇּל־הֲמוֹנָהּ׃to all its multitude

    The time is come, the day draweth near: let not the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn: for wrath is upon all the multitude thereof.

13. 13

    כִּיbecauseהַמֹּכֵרthe sellerאֶל־הַמִּמְכָּרto the thing soldלֹאnotיָשׁוּבhe shall returnוְעוֹדand againבַּחַיִּיםin the lifeחַיָּתָםtheir lifeכִּי־חָזוֹןbecause revelationאֶל־כׇּל־הֲמוֹנָהּto all its multitudeלֹאnotיָשׁוּבhe shall returnוְאִישׁand a manבַּעֲוֺנוֹin his iniquityחַיָּתוֹhis lifeלֹאnotיִתְחַזָּקוּ׃they will strengthen themselves

    For the seller shall not return to that which is sold, although they were yet alive: for the vision is touching the whole multitude thereof, which shall not return; neither shall any strengthen himself in the iniquity of his life.

14. 14

    תָּקְעוּthey gave a blastבַתָּקוֹעַon the trumpetוְהָכִיןand made readyהַכֹּלeverythingוְאֵיןand there is noהֹלֵךְgoingלַמִּלְחָמָהto the warכִּיforחֲרוֹנִיmy angerאֶל־כׇּל־הֲמוֹנָהּ׃to all its multitude

    They have blown the trumpet, even to make all ready; but none goeth to the battle: for my wrath is upon all the multitude thereof.

15. 15

    הַחֶרֶבthe swordבַּחוּץabroadוְהַדֶּבֶרand the pestilenceוְהָרָעָבand the famineמִבָּיִתfrom insideאֲשֶׁרwhichבַּשָּׂדֶהin the fieldבַּחֶרֶבwith the swordיָמוּתhe shall dieוַאֲשֶׁרand whichבָּעִירin the cityרָעָבfamineוָדֶבֶרand pestilenceיֹאכְלֶנּוּ׃he will eat it

    The sword is without, and the pestilence and the famine within: he that is in the field shall die with the sword; and he that is in the city, famine and pestilence shall devour him.

16. 16

    וּפָלְטוּand they will escapeפְּלִיטֵיהֶםtheir escapeesוְהָיוּthen they shall beאֶל־הֶהָרִיםto the mountainsכְּיוֹנֵיlike the doves ofהַגֵּאָיוֹתthe valleysכֻּלָּםall of themהֹמוֹתmoaningאִישׁa manבַּעֲוֺנוֹ׃in his iniquity

    But they that escape of them shall escape, and shall be on the mountains like doves of the valleys, all of them mourning, every one for his iniquity.

17. 17

    כׇּל־הַיָּדַיִםall handsתִּרְפֶּינָהshall be faintוְכׇל־בִּרְכַּיִםand all kneesתֵּלַכְנָהshall run withמָּיִם׃water

    All hands shall be feeble, and all knees shall be weak as water.

18. 18

    וְחָגְרוּand they will gird themselvesשַׂקִּיםsacksוְכִסְּתָהand it will coverאוֹתָםthemפַּלָּצוּתshudderingוְאֶלandכׇּל־פָּנִיםall facesבּוּשָׁהshameוּבְכׇל־רָאשֵׁיהֶםand in all the heads of themקׇרְחָה׃baldness

    They shall also gird themselves with sackcloth, and horror shall cover them; and shame shall be upon all faces, and baldness upon all their heads.

19. 19

    כַּסְפָּםtheir silverבַּחוּצוֹתin the streetsיַשְׁלִיכוּthey cast awayוּזְהָבָםand their goldלְנִדָּהan impure thingיִהְיֶהshall beכַּסְפָּםtheir silverוּזְהָבָםand their goldלֹא־יוּכַלnot canלְהַצִּילָםto deliver themבְּיוֹםin the day ofעֶבְרַתthe fury ofיְהֹוָהthe LORDנַפְשָׁםtheir soulלֹאnotיְשַׂבֵּעוּthey will satisfyוּמֵעֵיהֶםand their inward partsלֹאnotיְמַלֵּאוּthey will fillכִּי־מִכְשׁוֹלbecause offenseעֲוֺנָםtheir iniquityהָיָה׃was

    They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the LORD: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity.

20. 20

    וּצְבִיand the glory ofעֶדְיוֹhis ornamentsלְגָאוֹןexcellentשָׂמָהוּhe has made itוְצַלְמֵיand images ofתוֹעֲבֹתָםtheir abominationsשִׁקּוּצֵיהֶםtheir detestable thingsעָשׂוּthey didבוֹin itעַל־כֵּןthereforeנְתַתִּיוI have given itלָהֶםto themלְנִדָּה׃an impure thing

    As for the beauty of his ornament, he set it in majesty: but they made the images of their abominations and of their detestable things therein: therefore have I set it far from them.

21. 21

    וּנְתַתִּיוand I will give itבְּיַד־הַזָּרִיםin the hand of the strangersלָבַזplunderוּלְרִשְׁעֵיand to the wicked people ofהָאָרֶץthe earthלְשָׁלָלto the spoil(וחללוה)[וְחִלְּלוּהוּ]׃and they will profane it

    And I will give it into the hands of the strangers for a prey, and to the wicked of the earth for a spoil; and they shall pollute it.

22. 22

    וַהֲסִבּוֹתִיand I will turn aroundפָנַיmy faceמֵהֶםof themוְחִלְּלוּand they will profaneאֶת־צְפוּנִיmy treasured placeוּבָאוּ־בָהּand they shall enter into itפָּרִיצִיםrobbersוְחִלְּלוּהָ׃and they will profane it

    My face will I turn also from them, and they shall pollute my secret place: for the robbers shall enter into it, and defile it.

23. 23

    עֲשֵׂהmakeהָרַתּוֹקthe chainכִּיforהָאָרֶץthe landמָלְאָהis full ofמִשְׁפַּטjudgmentדָּמִיםbloodוְהָעִירand the cityמָלְאָהis full ofחָמָס׃violence

    Make a chain: for the land is full of bloody crimes, and the city is full of violence.

24. 24

    וְהֵבֵאתִיand I will bringרָעֵיthe evil ofגוֹיִםnationsוְיָרְשׁוּand possessאֶת־בָּתֵּיהֶםtheir own housesוְהִשְׁבַּתִּיand I will cause to ceaseגְּאוֹןthe pride ofעַזִּיםthe strongוְנִחֲלוּand shall be profanedמְקַדְשֵׁיהֶם׃their sanctuaries

    Wherefore I will bring the worst of the heathen, and they shall possess their houses: I will also make the pomp of the strong to cease; and their holy places shall be defiled.

25. 25

    קְפָדָה־בָאanguish cameוּבִקְשׁוּand soughtשָׁלוֹםpeaceוָאָיִן׃and there is not

    Destruction cometh; and they shall seek peace, and there shall be none.

26. 26

    הֹוָהdisasterעַל־הֹוָהupon disasterתָּבוֹאcome shallוּשְׁמֻעָהand reportאֶל־שְׁמוּעָהto a reportתִּהְיֶהshall beוּבִקְשׁוּand soughtחָזוֹןrevelationמִנָּבִיאfrom a prophetוְתוֹרָהand the Lawתֹּאבַדis lostמִכֹּהֵןfrom the priestוְעֵצָהand counselמִזְּקֵנִים׃from the elders

    Mischief shall come upon mischief, and rumour shall be upon rumour; then shall they seek a vision of the prophet; but the law shall perish from the priest, and counsel from the ancients.

27. 27

    הַמֶּלֶךְthe kingיִתְאַבָּלhe mournוְנָשִׂיאand a princeיִלְבַּשׁshall put onשְׁמָמָהdesolateוִידֵיand the hands ofעַם־הָאָרֶץthe people of the landתִּבָּהַלְנָהthey will be terrifiedמִדַּרְכָּםfrom their wayאֶעֱשֶׂהI will doאֹתָםthemוּבְמִשְׁפְּטֵיהֶםand by their judgmentsאֶשְׁפְּטֵםI will judge themוְיָדְעוּand they shall knowכִּי־אֲנִיthat I amיְהֹוָה׃the LORD

    The king shall mourn, and the prince shall be clothed with desolation, and the hands of the people of the land shall be troubled: I will do unto them after their way, and according to their deserts will I judge them; and they shall know that I am the LORD.
