   Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

   וְאַתָּהve/at/TAand youבֶן־אָדָםven-a/DAMson of manכֹּה־אָמַרko-a/MARthus saysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODלְאַדְמַתle/ad/MATto the land ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelקֵץketsan endבָּאbahas comeהַקֵּץhak/KETSthe endעַל־[אַרְבַּע]al-ar/BAon the four(ארבעת)ravtכַּנְפוֹתkan/FOTcorners ofהָאָרֶץ׃ha/A/retsthe land

   Also, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD unto the land of Israel; An end, the end is come upon the four corners of the land.

3. 3

   עַתָּהat/TAnowהַקֵּץhak/KETSthe endעָלַיִךְa/LA/yikhon youוְשִׁלַּחְתִּיve/shil/lach/TIand I will sendאַפִּיap/PImy angerבָּךְbakhon youוּשְׁפַטְתִּיךְu/she/fat/TIKHand I will judge youכִּדְרָכָיִךְkid/ra/KHA/yikhaccording to your waysוְנָתַתִּיve/na/tat/TIand I will bringעָלַיִךְa/LA/yikhon youאֵת־כׇּל־תּוֹעֲבוֹתָיִךְ׃et-kol-to/a/vo/TA/yikhall your abominations

   Now is the end come upon thee, and I will send mine anger upon thee, and will judge thee according to thy ways, and will recompense upon thee all thine abominations.

4. 4

   וְלֹא־תָחוֹסve/LO-ta/CHOSand shall not spareעֵינִיe/NImy eyeעָלַיִךְa/LA/yikhyouוְלֹאve/LOand notאֶחְמוֹלech/MOLhave pityכִּיkibutדְרָכַיִךְde/ra/KHA/yikhyour waysעָלַיִךְa/LA/yikhon youאֶתֵּןet/TENI will bringוְתוֹעֲבוֹתַיִךְve/to/a/vo/TA/yikhand your abominationsבְּתוֹכֵךְbe/to/KHEKHin the midst of youתִּהְיֶיןָtih/YE/nashall beוִידַעְתֶּםvi/da/TEMand you shall knowכִּי־אֲנִיki-a/NIthat I amיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

   And mine eye shall not spare thee, neither will I have pity: but I will recompense thy ways upon thee, and thine abominations shall be in the midst of thee: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

   Thus saith the Lord GOD; An evil, an only evil, behold, is come.

6. 6

   קֵץketsan endבָּאbahas comeבָּאbahas comeהַקֵּץhak/KETSthe endהֵקִיץhe/KITSit has awakenedאֵלָיִךְe/LA/yikhagainst youהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdבָּאָה׃ba/Ait comes

   An end is come, the end is come: it watcheth for thee; behold, it is come.

   בָּאָהba/Ahas comeהַצְּפִירָהhats/tse/fi/RAthe dawnאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khato youיוֹשֵׁבyo/SHEVO inhabitant ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe landבָּאbahas comeהָעֵתha/ETthe timeקָרוֹבka/ROVis nearהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthe dayמְהוּמָהme/hu/MAtumultוְלֹא־הֵדve/LO-hedand not the shouting ofהָרִים׃ha/RIMthe mountains

   The morning is come unto thee, O thou that dwellest in the land: the time is come, the day of trouble is near, and not the sounding again of the mountains.

   עַתָּהat/TAnowמִקָּרוֹבmik/ka/ROVsoonאֶשְׁפּוֹךְesh/POKHI will pour outחֲמָתִיcha/ma/TImy furyעָלַיִךְa/LA/yikhon youוְכִלֵּיתִיve/khil/le/TIand spendאַפִּיap/PImy angerבָּךְbakhon youוּשְׁפַטְתִּיךְu/she/fat/TIKHand I will judge youכִּדְרָכָיִךְkid/ra/KHA/yikhaccording to your waysוְנָתַתִּיve/na/tat/TIand I will bringעָלַיִךְa/LA/yikhon youאֵת־כׇּל־תּוֹעֲבוֹתָיִךְ׃et-kol-to/a/vo/TA/yikhall your abominations

   Now will I shortly pour out my fury upon thee, and accomplish mine anger upon thee: and I will judge thee according to thy ways, and will recompense thee for all thine abominations.

9. 9

   וְלֹא־תָחוֹסve/LO-ta/CHOSand shall not spareעֵינִיe/NImy eyeוְלֹאve/LOand notאֶחְמוֹלech/MOLhave pityכִּדְרָכַיִךְkid/ra/KHA/yikhaccording to your waysעָלַיִךְa/LA/yikhon youאֶתֵּןet/TENI will bringוְתוֹעֲבוֹתַיִךְve/to/a/vo/TA/yikhand your abominationsבְּתוֹכֵךְbe/to/KHEKHin the midst of youתִּהְיֶיןָtih/YE/nashall beוִידַעְתֶּםvi/da/TEMand you shall knowכִּיkithatאֲנִיa/NIIיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDמַכֶּה׃mak/KEwho strike

   And mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: I will recompense thee according to thy ways and thine abominations that are in the midst of thee; and ye shall know that I am the LORD that smiteth.

10. 10

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthe dayהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdבָאָהva/Ait comesיָצְאָהya/tse/Ahas gone outהַצְּפִרָהhats/tse/fi/RAthe dawnצָץtsatshas blossomedהַמַּטֶּהham/mat/TEthe staffפָּרַחpa/RACHhas buddedהַזָּדוֹן׃haz/za/DONthe arrogance

    Behold the day, behold, it is come: the morning is gone forth; the rod hath blossomed, pride hath budded.

11. 11

    הֶחָמָסhe/cha/MASviolenceקָםkamhas risen upלְמַטֵּה־רֶשַׁעle/mat/TE-RE/shainto a rod of wickednessלֹא־מֵהֶםlo-me/HEMnone of themוְלֹאve/LOnorמֵהֲמוֹנָםme/ha/mo/NAMof their multitudeוְלֹאve/LOnorמֶהֱמֵהֶםme/he/me/HEMof their tumultוְלֹא־נֹהַּve/LO-NO/ahnor wailingבָּהֶם׃ba/HEMamong them

    Violence is risen up into a rod of wickedness: none of them shall remain, nor of their multitude, nor of any of theirs: neither shall there be wailing for them.

12. 12

    בָּאbahas comeהָעֵתha/ETthe timeהִגִּיעַhig/GI/ahas drawn nearהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthe dayהַקּוֹנֶהhak/ko/NEthe buyerאַל־יִשְׂמָחal-yis/MACHlet not rejoiceוְהַמֹּכֵרve/ham/mo/KHERand the sellerאַל־יִתְאַבָּלal-yit/ab/BALlet not mournכִּיkiforחָרוֹןcha/RONwrath isאֶל־כׇּל־הֲמוֹנָהּ׃el-kol-ha/mo/NAon all its multitude

    The time is come, the day draweth near: let not the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn: for wrath is upon all the multitude thereof.

13. 13

    כִּיkiforהַמֹּכֵרham/mo/KHERthe sellerאֶל־הַמִּמְכָּרel-ham/mim/KARto what is soldלֹאlonotיָשׁוּבya/SHUVreturnוְעוֹדve/ODthough stillבַּחַיִּיםba/chay/YIMamong the livingחַיָּתָםchay/ya/TAMtheir lifeכִּי־חָזוֹןki-cha/ZONfor the visionאֶל־כׇּל־הֲמוֹנָהּel-kol-ha/mo/NAon all its multitudeלֹאlonotיָשׁוּבya/SHUVshall returnוְאִישׁve/ISHand noneבַּעֲוֺנוֹba/a/vo/NOin his iniquityחַיָּתוֹchay/ya/TOhis lifeלֹאlonotיִתְחַזָּקוּ׃yit/chaz/ZA/kushall strengthen himself

    For the seller shall not return to that which is sold, although they were yet alive: for the vision is touching the whole multitude thereof, which shall not return; neither shall any strengthen himself in the iniquity of his life.

14. 14

    תָּקְעוּta/ke/Uthey have blownבַתָּקוֹעַvat/ta/KO/athe trumpetוְהָכִיןve/ha/KHINto make readyהַכֹּלhak/KOLallוְאֵיןve/ENand there is noהֹלֵךְho/LEKHgoesלַמִּלְחָמָהlam/mil/cha/MAto the battleכִּיkiforחֲרוֹנִיcha/ro/NImy wrath isאֶל־כׇּל־הֲמוֹנָהּ׃el-kol-ha/mo/NAon all its multitude

    They have blown the trumpet, even to make all ready; but none goeth to the battle: for my wrath is upon all the multitude thereof.

15. 15

    הַחֶרֶבha/CHE/revthe swordבַּחוּץba/CHUTSis outsideוְהַדֶּבֶרve/had/DE/verand the pestilenceוְהָרָעָבve/ha/ra/AVand the famineמִבָּיִתmib/BA/yitwithinאֲשֶׁרa/SHERhe who isבַּשָּׂדֶהbas/sa/DEin the fieldבַּחֶרֶבba/CHE/revby the swordיָמוּתya/MUThe shall dieוַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand he who isבָּעִירba/IRin the cityרָעָבra/AVfamineוָדֶבֶרva/DE/verand pestilenceיֹאכְלֶנּוּ׃yo/khe/LEN/nushall devour him

    The sword is without, and the pestilence and the famine within: he that is in the field shall die with the sword; and he that is in the city, famine and pestilence shall devour him.

16. 16

    וּפָלְטוּu/fa/le/TUand shall escapeפְּלִיטֵיהֶםpe/li/te/HEMtheir survivorsוְהָיוּve/ha/YUand shall beאֶל־הֶהָרִיםel-he/ha/RIMon the mountainsכְּיוֹנֵיke/yo/NElike the doves ofהַגֵּאָיוֹתhag/ge/a/YOTthe valleysכֻּלָּםkul/LAMall of themהֹמוֹתho/MOTmourningאִישׁisheachבַּעֲוֺנוֹ׃ba/a/vo/NOin his iniquity

    But they that escape of them shall escape, and shall be on the mountains like doves of the valleys, all of them mourning, every one for his iniquity.

17. 17

    כׇּל־הַיָּדַיִםkol-hay/ya/DA/yimall handsתִּרְפֶּינָהtir/PE/nashall be feebleוְכׇל־בִּרְכַּיִםve/KHOL-bir/KA/yimand all kneesתֵּלַכְנָהte/LAKH/nashall goמָּיִם׃MA/yimwater

    All hands shall be feeble, and all knees shall be weak as water.

18. 18

    וְחָגְרוּve/cha/ge/RUand they shall girdשַׂקִּיםsak/KIMsackclothוְכִסְּתָהve/khis/se/TAand shall coverאוֹתָםo/TAMthemפַּלָּצוּתpal/la/TSUThorrorוְאֶלve/ELand onכׇּל־פָּנִיםkol-pa/NIMall facesבּוּשָׁהbu/SHAshall be shameוּבְכׇל־רָאשֵׁיהֶםu/ve/KHOL-ra/she/HEMand on all their headsקׇרְחָה׃kor/CHAbaldness

    They shall also gird themselves with sackcloth, and horror shall cover them; and shame shall be upon all faces, and baldness upon all their heads.

19. 19

    כַּסְפָּםkas/PAMtheir silverבַּחוּצוֹתba/chu/TSOTin the streetsיַשְׁלִיכוּyash/LI/khuthey shall castוּזְהָבָםu/ze/ha/VAMand their goldלְנִדָּהle/nid/DAas an unclean thingיִהְיֶהyih/YEshall beכַּסְפָּםkas/PAMtheir silverוּזְהָבָםu/ze/ha/VAMand their goldלֹא־יוּכַלlo-yu/KHALshall not be ableלְהַצִּילָםle/hats/tsi/LAMto deliver themבְּיוֹםbe/YOMin the day ofעֶבְרַתev/RATthe wrath ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDנַפְשָׁםnaf/SHAMtheir soulsלֹאlonotיְשַׂבֵּעוּye/sab/BE/uthey shall satisfyוּמֵעֵיהֶםu/me/e/HEMand their stomachsלֹאlonotיְמַלֵּאוּye/mal/LE/ufillכִּי־מִכְשׁוֹלki-mikh/SHOLfor the stumbling block ofעֲוֺנָםa/vo/NAMtheir iniquityהָיָה׃ha/YAit has become

    They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the LORD: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity.

20. 20

    וּצְבִיu/tse/VIand the beauty ofעֶדְיוֹed/YOhis ornamentsלְגָאוֹןle/ga/ONin majestyשָׂמָהוּsa/MA/huhe set itוְצַלְמֵיve/tsal/MEand the images ofתוֹעֲבֹתָםto/a/vo/TAMtheir abominationsשִׁקּוּצֵיהֶםshik/ku/tse/HEMtheir detestable thingsעָשׂוּa/SUthey madeבוֹvoof itעַל־כֵּןal-kenthereforeנְתַתִּיוne/tat/TIVI have made itלָהֶםla/HEMfor themלְנִדָּה׃le/nid/DAan unclean thing

    As for the beauty of his ornament, he set it in majesty: but they made the images of their abominations and of their detestable things therein: therefore have I set it far from them.

21. 21

    וּנְתַתִּיוu/ne/tat/TIVand I will give itבְּיַד־הַזָּרִיםbe/YAD-haz/za/RIMinto the hands of the strangersלָבַזla/VAZfor a preyוּלְרִשְׁעֵיu/le/rish/Eand to the wicked ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthלְשָׁלָלle/sha/LALfor a spoil(וחללוה)vachalalavah[וְחִלְּלוּהוּ]׃ve/chil/le/LU/huand they will profane it

    And I will give it into the hands of the strangers for a prey, and to the wicked of the earth for a spoil; and they shall pollute it.

22. 22

    וַהֲסִבּוֹתִיva/ha/sib/bo/TIand I will turnפָנַיfa/NAYmy faceמֵהֶםme/HEMfrom themוְחִלְּלוּve/chil/le/LUand they shall profaneאֶת־צְפוּנִיet-tse/fu/NImy treasured placeוּבָאוּ־בָהּu/VA/u-vaand they shall enter into itפָּרִיצִיםpa/ri/TSIMrobbersוְחִלְּלוּהָ׃ve/chil/le/LU/haand profane it

    My face will I turn also from them, and they shall pollute my secret place: for the robbers shall enter into it, and defile it.

23. 23

    עֲשֵׂהa/SEmakeהָרַתּוֹקha/rat/TOKthe chainכִּיkiforהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe landמָלְאָהma/le/Ais full ofמִשְׁפַּטmish/PATjudgmentדָּמִיםda/MIMbloodshedוְהָעִירve/ha/IRand the cityמָלְאָהma/le/Ais full ofחָמָס׃cha/MASviolence

    Make a chain: for the land is full of bloody crimes, and the city is full of violence.

24. 24

    וְהֵבֵאתִיve/he/ve/TIand I will bringרָעֵיra/Ethe worst ofגוֹיִםgo/YIMnationsוְיָרְשׁוּve/ya/re/SHUand they shall possessאֶת־בָּתֵּיהֶםet-bat/te/HEMtheir housesוְהִשְׁבַּתִּיve/hish/bat/TIand I will make ceaseגְּאוֹןge/ONthe pride ofעַזִּיםaz/ZIMthe strongוְנִחֲלוּve/ni/cha/LUand shall be profanedמְקַדְשֵׁיהֶם׃me/kad/she/HEMtheir sanctuaries

    Wherefore I will bring the worst of the heathen, and they shall possess their houses: I will also make the pomp of the strong to cease; and their holy places shall be defiled.

25. 25

    קְפָדָה־בָאke/FA/da-vaanguish comesוּבִקְשׁוּu/vik/SHUand they shall seekשָׁלוֹםsha/LOMpeaceוָאָיִן׃va/A/yinand there shall be none

    Destruction cometh; and they shall seek peace, and there shall be none.

26. 26

    הֹוָהho/VAdisasterעַל־הֹוָהal-ho/VAon disasterתָּבוֹאta/VOshall comeוּשְׁמֻעָהu/she/mu/Aand rumorאֶל־שְׁמוּעָהel-she/mu/Aon rumorתִּהְיֶהtih/YEshall beוּבִקְשׁוּu/vik/SHUand they shall seekחָזוֹןcha/ZONa visionמִנָּבִיאmin/na/VIfrom a prophetוְתוֹרָהve/to/RAbut the lawתֹּאבַדto/VADshall perishמִכֹּהֵןmik/ko/HENfrom the priestוְעֵצָהve/e/TSAand counselמִזְּקֵנִים׃miz/ze/ke/NIMfrom the elders

    Mischief shall come upon mischief, and rumour shall be upon rumour; then shall they seek a vision of the prophet; but the law shall perish from the priest, and counsel from the ancients.

27. 27

    הַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingיִתְאַבָּלyit/ab/BALshall mournוְנָשִׂיאve/na/SIand the princeיִלְבַּשׁyil/BASHshall be clothed withשְׁמָמָהshe/ma/MAdesolationוִידֵיvi/DEand the hands ofעַם־הָאָרֶץam-ha/A/retsthe people of the landתִּבָּהַלְנָהtib/ba/HAL/nashall trembleמִדַּרְכָּםmid/dar/KAMaccording to their wayאֶעֱשֶׂהe/e/SEI will doאֹתָםo/TAMto themוּבְמִשְׁפְּטֵיהֶםu/ve/mish/pe/te/HEMand by their own judgmentsאֶשְׁפְּטֵםesh/pe/TEMI will judge themוְיָדְעוּve/ya/de/Uand they shall knowכִּי־אֲנִיki-a/NIthat I amיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    The king shall mourn, and the prince shall be clothed with desolation, and the hands of the people of the land shall be troubled: I will do unto them after their way, and according to their deserts will I judge them; and they shall know that I am the LORD.
