   וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passדְבַר־יְהֹוָהde/VAR-Adonaithe word of the LORDאֵלַיe/LAYto meלֵאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

   And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

2. 2

   בֶּן־אָדָםben-a/DAMson of manשִׂיםsimsetפָּנֶיךָpa/NE/khayour faceאֶל־הָרֵיel-ha/REtoward the mountains ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelוְהִנָּבֵאve/hin/na/VEand prophesyאֲלֵיהֶם׃a/le/HEMagainst them

   Son of man, set thy face toward the mountains of Israel, and prophesy against them,

   וְאָמַרְתָּve/a/mar/TAand sayהָרֵיha/REO mountains ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelשִׁמְעוּshim/Uhearדְּבַר־אֲדֹנָיde/VAR-a/do/NAYthe word of the LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODכֹּה־אָמַרko-a/MARthus saysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODלֶהָרִיםle/ha/RIMto the mountainsוְלַגְּבָעוֹתve/lag/ge/va/OTand to the hillsלָאֲפִיקִיםla/a/fi/KIMto the ravines[וְלַגֵּיאָיוֹת]ve/lag/ge/a/YOTand to the valleysהִנְנִיhin/NIbehold Iאֲנִיa/NIIמֵבִיאme/VIwill bringעֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMon youחֶרֶבCHE/reva swordוְאִבַּדְתִּיve/ib/bad/TIand I will destroyבָּמוֹתֵיכֶם׃ba/mo/te/KHEMyour high places

   And say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord GOD; Thus saith the Lord GOD to the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys; Behold, I, even I, will bring a sword upon you, and I will destroy your high places.

4. 4

   וְנָשַׁמּוּve/na/SHAM/muand shall be desolateמִזְבְּחוֹתֵיכֶםmiz/be/cho/te/KHEMyour altarsוְנִשְׁבְּרוּve/nish/be/RUand shall be brokenחַמָּנֵיכֶםcham/ma/ne/KHEMyour incense altarsוְהִפַּלְתִּיve/hip/pal/TIand I will cast downחַלְלֵיכֶםchal/le/KHEMyour slainלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeגִּלּוּלֵיכֶם׃gil/lu/le/KHEMyour idols

   And your altars shall be desolate, and your images shall be broken: and I will cast down your slain men before your idols.

5. 5

   וְנָתַתִּיve/na/tat/TIand I will layאֶת־פִּגְרֵיet-pig/REthe corpses ofבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeגִּלּוּלֵיהֶםgil/lu/le/HEMtheir idolsוְזֵרִיתִיve/ze/ri/TIand I will scatterאֶת־עַצְמוֹתֵיכֶםet-ats/mo/te/KHEMyour bonesסְבִיבוֹתse/vi/VOTaroundמִזְבְּחוֹתֵיכֶם׃miz/be/cho/te/KHEMyour altars

   And I will lay the dead carcases of the children of Israel before their idols; and I will scatter your bones round about your altars.

   בְּכֹלbe/KHOLin allמוֹשְׁבוֹתֵיכֶםmosh/vo/te/KHEMyour dwellingsהֶעָרִיםhe/a/RIMthe citiesתֶּחֱרַבְנָהte/che/RAV/nashall be laid wasteוְהַבָּמוֹתve/hab/ba/MOTand the high placesתִּישָׁמְנָהti/SHAM/nashall be desolateלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatיֶחֶרְבוּye/cher/VUmay be laid wasteוְיֶאְשְׁמוּve/ye/she/MUand be made desolateמִזְבְּחוֹתֵיכֶםmiz/be/cho/te/KHEMyour altarsוְנִשְׁבְּרוּve/nish/be/RUand be brokenוְנִשְׁבְּתוּve/nish/be/TUand ceaseגִּלּוּלֵיכֶםgil/lu/le/KHEMyour idolsוְנִגְדְּעוּve/nig/de/Uand be cut downחַמָּנֵיכֶםcham/ma/ne/KHEMyour incense altarsוְנִמְחוּve/nim/CHUand be wiped outמַעֲשֵׂיכֶם׃ma/a/se/KHEMyour works

   In all your dwellingplaces the cities shall be laid waste, and the high places shall be desolate; that your altars may be laid waste and made desolate, and your idols may be broken and cease, and your images may be cut down, and your works may be abolished.

7. 7

   וְנָפַלve/na/FALand shall fallחָלָלcha/LALthe slainבְּתוֹכְכֶםbe/tokh/KHEMamong youוִידַעְתֶּםvi/da/TEMand you shall knowכִּי־אֲנִיki-a/NIthat I amיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

   And the slain shall fall in the midst of you, and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

8. 8

   וְהוֹתַרְתִּיve/ho/tar/TIyet I will leave a remnantבִּהְיוֹתbih/YOTthat there may beלָכֶםla/KHEMfor youפְּלִיטֵיpe/li/TEsurvivors ofחֶרֶבCHE/revthe swordבַּגּוֹיִםbag/go/YIMamong the nationsבְּהִזָּרוֹתֵיכֶםbe/hiz/za/ro/te/KHEMwhen you are dispersedבָּאֲרָצוֹת׃ba/a/ra/TSOTin the lands

   Yet will I leave a remnant, that ye may have some that shall escape the sword among the nations, when ye shall be scattered through the countries.

9. 9

   וְזָכְרוּve/za/khe/RUand shall rememberפְלִיטֵיכֶםfe/li/te/KHEMyour survivorsאוֹתִיo/TImeבַּגּוֹיִםbag/go/YIMamong the nationsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhereנִשְׁבּוּ־שָׁםnish/BU-shamthey are carried captive thereאֲשֶׁרa/SHERhowנִשְׁבַּרְתִּיnish/BAR/tiI was brokenאֶת־לִבָּםet-lib/BAMtheir heartהַזּוֹנֶהhaz/zo/NEwhoringאֲשֶׁר־סָרa/SHER-sarthat departedמֵעָלַיme/a/LAYfrom meוְאֵתve/ETand byעֵינֵיהֶםe/ne/HEMtheir eyesהַזֹּנוֹתhaz/zo/NOTthat go whoringאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterגִּלּוּלֵיהֶםgil/lu/le/HEMtheir idolsוְנָקֹטּוּve/na/KOT/tuand they shall loathe themselvesבִּפְנֵיהֶםbif/ne/HEMin their own sightאֶל־הָרָעוֹתel-ha/ra/OTfor the evilsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatעָשׂוּa/SUthey have committedלְכֹלle/KHOLin allתּוֹעֲבֹתֵיהֶם׃to/a/vo/te/HEMtheir abominations

   And they that escape of you shall remember me among the nations whither they shall be carried captives, because I am broken with their whorish heart, which hath departed from me, and with their eyes, which go a whoring after their idols: and they shall lothe themselves for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations.

    וְיָדְעוּve/ya/de/Uand they shall knowכִּי־אֲנִיki-a/NIthat I amיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDלֹאlonotאֶל־חִנָּםel-chin/NAMin vainדִּבַּרְתִּיdib/BAR/tiI have spokenלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTthat I would doלָהֶםla/HEMto themהָרָעָהha/ra/Athe evilהַזֹּאת׃haz/ZOTthis

    And they shall know that I am the LORD, and that I have not said in vain that I would do this evil unto them.

11. 11

    כֹּה־אָמַרko-a/MARthus saysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODהַכֵּהhak/KEstrikeבְכַפְּךָve/khap/pe/KHAwith your palmוּרְקַעu/re/KAand stampבְּרַגְלְךָbe/rag/le/KHAwith your footוֶאֱמׇר־אָחve/e/MOR-achand say alasאֶלelforכׇּל־תּוֹעֲבוֹתkol-to/a/VOTall the abominations ofרָעוֹתra/OTevilבֵּיתbetthe house ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelאֲשֶׁרa/SHERforבַּחֶרֶבba/CHE/revby the swordבָּרָעָבba/ra/AVby the famineוּבַדֶּבֶרu/vad/DE/verand by the pestilenceיִפֹּלוּ׃yip/PO/luthey shall fall

    Thus saith the Lord GOD; Smite with thine hand, and stamp with thy foot, and say, Alas for all the evil abominations of the house of Israel! for they shall fall by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence.

12. 12

    הָרָחוֹקha/ra/CHOKhe who is far offבַּדֶּבֶרbad/DE/verby the pestilenceיָמוּתya/MUThe shall dieוְהַקָּרוֹבve/hak/ka/ROVand he who is nearבַּחֶרֶבba/CHE/revby the swordיִפּוֹלyip/POLshall fallוְהַנִּשְׁאָרve/han/nish/ARand he who remainsוְהַנָּצוּרve/han/na/TSURand is besiegedבָּרָעָבba/ra/AVby the famineיָמוּתya/MUThe shall dieוְכִלֵּיתִיve/khil/le/TIthus I will spendחֲמָתִיcha/ma/TImy furyבָּם׃bamon them

    He that is far off shall die of the pestilence; and he that is near shall fall by the sword; and he that remaineth and is besieged shall die by the famine: thus will I accomplish my fury upon them.

    וִידַעְתֶּםvi/da/TEMand you shall knowכִּי־אֲנִיki-a/NIthat I amיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבִּהְיוֹתbih/YOTwhen areחַלְלֵיהֶםchal/le/HEMtheir slainבְּתוֹךְbe/TOKHin the midst ofגִּלּוּלֵיהֶםgil/lu/le/HEMtheir idolsסְבִיבוֹתse/vi/VOTaroundמִזְבְּחוֹתֵיהֶםmiz/be/cho/te/HEMtheir altarsאֶלelonכׇּל־גִּבְעָהkol-giv/Aevery hillרָמָהra/MAloftyבְּכֹלbe/KHOLin allרָאשֵׁיra/SHEthe heads ofהֶהָרִיםhe/ha/RIMthe mountainsוְתַחַתve/TA/chatand underכׇּל־עֵץkol-etsevery treeרַעֲנָןra/a/NANgreenוְתַחַתve/TA/chatand underכׇּל־אֵלָהkol-e/LAevery oakעֲבֻתָּהa/vut/TAleafyמְקוֹםme/KOMthe placeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhereנָתְנוּ־שָׁםna/te/NU-shamthey offered thereרֵיחַRE/acha scent ofנִיחֹחַni/CHO/achpleasingלְכֹלle/KHOLfor allגִּלּוּלֵיהֶם׃gil/lu/le/HEMtheir idols

    Then shall ye know that I am the LORD, when their slain men shall be among their idols round about their altars, upon every high hill, in all the tops of the mountains, and under every green tree, and under every thick oak, the place where they did offer sweet savour to all their idols.

14. 14

    וְנָטִיתִיve/na/TI/tiand I will stretch outאֶת־יָדִיet-ya/DImy handעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMagainst themוְנָתַתִּיve/na/tat/TIand makeאֶת־הָאָרֶץet-ha/A/retsthe landשְׁמָמָהshe/ma/MAa desolationוּמְשַׁמָּהu/me/sham/MAand a wasteמִמִּדְבַּרmim/mid/BARmore than the wilderness towardדִּבְלָתָהDiv/LA/taDiblathבְּכֹלbe/KHOLin allמוֹשְׁבוֹתֵיהֶםmosh/vo/te/HEMtheir dwellingsוְיָדְעוּve/ya/de/Uand they shall knowכִּי־אֲנִיki-a/NIthat I amיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    So will I stretch out my hand upon them, and make the land desolate, yea, more desolate than the wilderness toward Diblath, in all their habitations: and they shall know that I am the LORD.
