1. 1

   וְאַתָּהve/at/TAand youבֶן־אָדָםven-a/DAMson of manקַח־לְךָkach-le/KHAtake for yourselfחֶרֶבCHE/reva swordחַדָּהchad/DAsharpתַּעַרTA/ara razor ofהַגַּלָּבִיםhag/gal/la/VIMthe barbersתִּקָּחֶנָּהtik/ka/CHEN/nayou shall take itלָּךְlakhfor yourselfוְהַעֲבַרְתָּve/ha/a/var/TAand pass itעַל־רֹאשְׁךָal-ro/she/KHAover your headוְעַל־זְקָנֶךָve/AL-ze/ka/NE/khaand over your beardוְלָקַחְתָּve/la/kach/TAand takeלְךָle/KHAfor yourselfמֹאזְנֵיmo/ze/NEscales ofמִשְׁקָלmish/KALweighingוְחִלַּקְתָּם׃ve/chil/lak/TAMand divide them

   And thou, son of man, take thee a sharp knife, take thee a barber's razor, and cause it to pass upon thine head and upon thy beard: then take thee balances to weigh, and divide the hair.

2. 2

   שְׁלִשִׁיתshe/li/SHITa thirdבָּאוּרba/URin the fireתַּבְעִירtav/IRyou shall burnבְּתוֹךְbe/TOKHin the midst ofהָעִירha/IRthe cityכִּמְלֹאתkim/LOTwhen are fulfilledיְמֵיye/MEthe days ofהַמָּצוֹרham/ma/TSORthe siegeוְלָקַחְתָּve/la/kach/TAand you shall takeאֶת־הַשְּׁלִשִׁיתet-hash/she/li/SHITthe thirdתַּכֶּהtak/KEstrikeבַחֶרֶבva/CHE/revby the swordסְבִיבוֹתֶיהָse/vi/vo/TE/haaround itוְהַשְּׁלִשִׁיתve/hash/she/li/SHITand the thirdתִּזְרֶהtiz/REyou shall scatterלָרוּחַla/RU/achto the windוְחֶרֶבve/CHE/revand a swordאָרִיקa/RIKI will draw outאַחֲרֵיהֶם׃a/cha/re/HEMafter them

   Thou shalt burn with fire a third part in the midst of the city, when the days of the siege are fulfilled: and thou shalt take a third part, and smite about it with a knife: and a third part thou shalt scatter in the wind; and I will draw out a sword after them.

   וְלָקַחְתָּve/la/kach/TAand you shall takeמִשָּׁםmish/SHAMfrom thereמְעַטme/ATa fewבְּמִסְפָּרbe/mis/PARin numberוְצַרְתָּve/tsar/TAand bindאוֹתָםo/TAMthemבִּכְנָפֶיךָ׃bikh/na/FE/khain your skirts

   Thou shalt also take thereof a few in number, and bind them in thy skirts.

4. 4

   וּמֵהֶםu/me/HEMand of themעוֹדodagainתִּקָּחtik/KACHyou shall takeוְהִשְׁלַכְתָּve/hish/lakh/TAand castאוֹתָםo/TAMthemאֶל־תּוֹךְel-tokhinto the midst ofהָאֵשׁha/ESHthe fireוְשָׂרַפְתָּve/sa/raf/TAand burnאֹתָםo/TAMthemבָּאֵשׁba/ESHby fireמִמֶּנּוּmim/MEN/nufrom itתֵצֵא־אֵשׁte/TSE-esha fire shall come outאֶל־כׇּל־בֵּיתel-kol-betto all the house ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

   Then take of them again, and cast them into the midst of the fire, and burn them in the fire; for thereof shall a fire come forth into all the house of Israel.

   כֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODזֹאתzotthis isיְרוּשָׁלַ͏ִםYe/ru/sha/LA/yimJerusalemבְּתוֹךְbe/TOKHin the midst ofהַגּוֹיִםhag/go/YIMthe nationsשַׂמְתִּיהָsam/TI/haI have set herוּסְבִיבוֹתֶיהָu/se/vi/vo/TE/haand around herאֲרָצוֹת׃a/ra/TSOTlands

   Thus saith the Lord GOD; This is Jerusalem: I have set it in the midst of the nations and countries that are round about her.

6. 6

   וַתֶּמֶרvat/TE/merand she has rebelled againstאֶת־מִשְׁפָּטַיet-mish/pa/TAYmy judgmentsלְרִשְׁעָהle/rish/Ainto wickednessמִן־הַגּוֹיִםmin-hag/go/YIMmore than the nationsוְאֶת־חֻקּוֹתַיve/ET-chuk/ko/TAYand my statutesמִן־הָאֲרָצוֹתmin-ha/a/ra/TSOTmore than the landsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatסְבִיבוֹתֶיהָse/vi/vo/TE/haare around herכִּיkiforבְמִשְׁפָּטַיve/mish/pa/TAYmy judgmentsמָאָסוּma/A/suthey rejectedוְחֻקּוֹתַיve/chuk/ko/TAYand my statutesלֹא־הָלְכוּlo-ha/le/KHUthey have not walkedבָהֶם׃va/HEMin them

   And she hath changed my judgments into wickedness more than the nations, and my statutes more than the countries that are round about her: for they have refused my judgments and my statutes, they have not walked in them.

   לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeכֹּה־אָמַרko-a/MARthus saysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODיַעַןYA/anbecauseהֲמׇנְכֶםha/mon/KHEMyour ragingמִן־הַגּוֹיִםmin-hag/go/YIMmore than the nationsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatסְבִיבוֹתֵיכֶםse/vi/vo/te/KHEMare around youבְּחֻקּוֹתַיbe/chuk/ko/TAYin my statutesלֹאlonotהֲלַכְתֶּםha/lakh/TEMyou have walkedוְאֶת־מִשְׁפָּטַיve/ET-mish/pa/TAYand my judgmentsלֹאlonotעֲשִׂיתֶםa/si/TEMyou have doneוּכְמִשְׁפְּטֵיu/khe/mish/pe/TEand according to the judgments ofהַגּוֹיִםhag/go/YIMthe nationsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatסְבִיבוֹתֵיכֶםse/vi/vo/te/KHEMare around youלֹאlonotעֲשִׂיתֶם׃a/si/TEMyou have done

   Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye multiplied more than the nations that are round about you, and have not walked in my statutes, neither have kept my judgments, neither have done according to the judgments of the nations that are round about you;

8. 8

   לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeכֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODהִנְנִיhin/NIbehold Iעָלַיִךְa/LA/yikhagainst youגַּם־אָנִיgam-A/nialso Iוְעָשִׂיתִיve/a/SI/tiand I will executeבְתוֹכֵךְve/to/KHEKHin the midst of youמִשְׁפָּטִיםmish/pa/TIMjudgmentsלְעֵינֵיle/e/NEin the eyes ofהַגּוֹיִם׃hag/go/YIMthe nations

   Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, am against thee, and will execute judgments in the midst of thee in the sight of the nations.

9. 9

   וְעָשִׂיתִיve/a/SI/tiand I will executeבָךְvakhin youאֵת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERwhatלֹא־עָשִׂיתִיlo-a/SI/tiI have not doneוְאֵתve/ETandאֲשֶׁר־לֹא־אֶעֱשֶׂהa/SHER-lo-e/e/SEwhich I will not doכָמֹהוּkha/MO/hulike itעוֹדodagainיַעַןYA/anbecauseכׇּל־תּוֹעֲבֹתָיִךְ׃kol-to/a/vo/TA/yikhall your abominations

   And I will do in thee that which I have not done, and whereunto I will not do any more the like, because of all thine abominations.

10. 10

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeאָבוֹתa/VOTthe fathersיֹאכְלוּyo/khe/LUshall eatבָנִיםva/NIMthe sonsבְּתוֹכֵךְbe/to/KHEKHin the midst of youוּבָנִיםu/va/NIMand sonsיֹאכְלוּyo/khe/LUshall eatאֲבוֹתָםa/vo/TAMtheir fathersוְעָשִׂיתִיve/a/SI/tiand I will executeבָךְvakhon youשְׁפָטִיםshe/fa/TIMjudgmentsוְזֵרִיתִיve/ze/ri/TIand I will scatterאֶת־כׇּל־שְׁאֵרִיתֵךְet-kol-she/e/ri/TEKHall the rest of youלְכׇל־רוּחַ׃le/KHOL-RU/achto every wind

    Therefore the fathers shall eat the sons in the midst of thee, and the sons shall eat their fathers; and I will execute judgments in thee, and the whole remnant of thee will I scatter into all the winds.

11. 11

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeחַי־אָנִיchay-A/nias I liveנְאֻםne/UMsaysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODאִם־לֹאim-losurelyיַעַןYA/anbecauseאֶת־מִקְדָּשִׁיet-mik/da/SHImy sanctuaryטִמֵּאתtim/METyou have defiledבְּכׇל־שִׁקּוּצַיִךְbe/KHOL-shik/ku/TSA/yikhin all your detestable thingsוּבְכׇל־תּוֹעֲבֹתָיִךְu/ve/KHOL-to/a/vo/TA/yikhand in all your abominationsוְגַם־אֲנִיve/GAM-a/NItherefore I alsoאֶגְרַעeg/RAI will diminishוְלֹא־תָחוֹסve/LO-ta/CHOSand shall not spareעֵינִיe/NImy eyeוְגַם־אֲנִיve/GAM-a/NIand I alsoלֹאlonotאֶחְמוֹל׃ech/MOLhave pity

    Wherefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD; Surely, because thou hast defiled my sanctuary with all thy detestable things, and with all thine abominations, therefore will I also diminish thee; neither shall mine eye spare, neither will I have any pity.

12. 12

    שְׁלִשִׁתֵיךְshe/li/shi/TEKHa third of youבַּדֶּבֶרbad/DE/verwith the pestilenceיָמוּתוּya/MU/tushall dieוּבָרָעָבu/va/ra/AVand with famineיִכְלוּyikh/LUshall be consumedבְתוֹכֵךְve/to/KHEKHin the midst of youוְהַשְּׁלִשִׁיתve/hash/she/li/SHITand a thirdבַּחֶרֶבba/CHE/revwith the swordיִפְּלוּyip/pe/LUshall fallסְבִיבוֹתָיִךְse/vi/vo/TA/yikharound youוְהַשְּׁלִישִׁיתve/hash/she/li/SHITand a thirdלְכׇל־רוּחַle/KHOL-RU/achto every windאֱזָרֶהe/za/REI will scatterוְחֶרֶבve/CHE/revand a swordאָרִיקa/RIKI will drawאַחֲרֵיהֶם׃a/cha/re/HEMafter them

    A third part of thee shall die with the pestilence, and with famine shall they be consumed in the midst of thee: and a third part shall fall by the sword round about thee; and I will scatter a third part into all the winds, and I will draw out a sword after them.

13. 13

    וְכָלָהve/kha/LAand shall be spentאַפִּיap/PImy angerוַהֲנִחוֹתִיva/ha/ni/cho/TIand I will cause to restחֲמָתִיcha/ma/TImy furyבָּםbamon themוְהִנֶּחָמְתִּיve/hin/ne/CHAM/tiand I will be comfortedוְיָדְעוּve/ya/de/Uand they shall knowכִּי־אֲנִיki-a/NIthat I amיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDדִּבַּרְתִּיdib/BAR/tiI have spokenבְּקִנְאָתִיbe/kin/a/TIin my zealבְּכַלּוֹתִיbe/khal/lo/TIwhen I have spentחֲמָתִיcha/ma/TImy furyבָּם׃bamon them

    Thus shall mine anger be accomplished, and I will cause my fury to rest upon them, and I will be comforted: and they shall know that I the LORD have spoken it in my zeal, when I have accomplished my fury in them.

14. 14

    וְאֶתְּנֵךְve/et/te/NEKHand I will make youלְחׇרְבָּהle/chor/BAa wasteוּלְחֶרְפָּהu/le/cher/PAand into a reproachבַּגּוֹיִםbag/go/YIMamong the nationsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat areסְבִיבוֹתָיִךְse/vi/vo/TA/yikharound youלְעֵינֵיle/e/NEin the eyes ofכׇּל־עוֹבֵר׃kol-o/VERall who pass by

    Moreover I will make thee waste, and a reproach among the nations that are round about thee, in the sight of all that pass by.

15. 15

    וְהָיְתָהve/ha/ye/TAand it shall beחֶרְפָּהcher/PAa reproachוּגְדוּפָהu/ge/du/FAand a tauntמוּסָרmu/SARan instructionוּמְשַׁמָּהu/me/sham/MAand a horrorלַגּוֹיִםlag/go/YIMto the nationsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat areסְבִיבוֹתָיִךְse/vi/vo/TA/yikharound youבַּעֲשׂוֹתִיba/a/so/TIwhen I executeבָךְvakhon youשְׁפָטִיםshe/fa/TIMjudgmentsבְּאַףbe/AFin angerוּבְחֵמָהu/ve/che/MAand in rageוּבְתֹכְחוֹתu/ve/tokh/CHOTand with rebukes ofחֵמָהche/MAwrathאֲנִיa/NIIיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDדִּבַּרְתִּי׃dib/BAR/tiI have spoken

    So it shall be a reproach and a taunt, an instruction and an astonishment unto the nations that are round about thee, when I shall execute judgments in thee in anger and in fury and in furious rebukes. I the LORD have spoken it.

16. 16

    בְּשַׁלְּחִיbe/shal/le/CHIwhen I sendאֶת־חִצֵּיet-chits/TSEthe arrows ofהָרָעָבha/ra/AVthe famineהָרָעִיםha/ra/IMevilבָּהֶםba/HEMagainst themאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatהָיוּha/YUwereלְמַשְׁחִיתle/mash/CHITfor destructionאֲשֶׁר־אֲשַׁלַּחa/SHER-a/shal/LACHwhich I will sendאוֹתָםo/TAMthemלְשַׁחֶתְכֶםle/sha/chet/KHEMto destroy youוְרָעָבve/ra/AVand famineאֹסֵףo/SEFI will increaseעֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMon youוְשָׁבַרְתִּיve/sha/var/TIand I will breakלָכֶםla/KHEMyourמַטֵּה־לָחֶם׃mat/TE-LA/chemthe staff of bread

    When I shall send upon them the evil arrows of famine, which shall be for their destruction, and which I will send to destroy you: and I will increase the famine upon you, and will break your staff of bread:

17. 17

    וְשִׁלַּחְתִּיve/shil/lach/TIand I will sendעֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMon youרָעָבra/AVfamineוְחַיָּהve/chay/YAand beastsרָעָהra/Aevilוְשִׁכְּלֻךְve/shik/ke/LUKHand they shall bereave youוְדֶבֶרve/DE/verand pestilenceוָדָםva/DAMand bloodיַעֲבׇר־בָּךְya/a/VOR-bakhshall pass through youוְחֶרֶבve/CHE/revand a swordאָבִיאa/VII will bringעָלַיִךְa/LA/yikhon youאֲנִיa/NIIיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDדִּבַּרְתִּי׃dib/BAR/tiI have spoken

    So will I send upon you famine and evil beasts, and they shall bereave thee; and pestilence and blood shall pass through thee; and I will bring the sword upon thee. I the LORD have spoken it.
