    וְאֵלֶּהand theseשְׁמוֹתthe names ofהַשְּׁבָטִיםthe tribesמִקְצֵהfrom the end ofצָפוֹנָהnorthwardאֶל־יַדto the hand ofדֶּרֶךְ־חֶתְלֹןthrough Hethlonלְבוֹא־חֲמָתof the coming of HamathחֲצַרHazar-עֵינָןenanגְּבוּלborder ofדַּמֶּשֶׂקDamascusצָפוֹנָהnorthwardאֶל־יַדto the hand ofחֲמָתHamathוְהָיוּ־לוֹthen they shall be himפְאַת־קָדִיםthe side of the eastהַיָּםthe seaדָּןDanאֶחָד׃one

    Now these are the names of the tribes. From the north end to the coast of the way of Hethlon, as one goeth to Hamath, Hazar-enan, the border of Damascus northward, to the coast of Hamath; for these are his sides east and west; a portion for Dan.

    And by the border of Dan, from the east side unto the west side, a portion for Asher.

    וְעַלand uponגְּבוּלborder ofאָשֵׁרAsherמִפְּאַתfrom the corner ofקָדִימָהforwardוְעַד־פְּאַת־יָמָּהand unto the side of westwardנַפְתָּלִיNaphtaliאֶחָד׃one

    And by the border of Asher, from the east side even unto the west side, a portion for Naphtali.

    וְעַלand uponגְּבוּלborder ofנַפְתָּלִיNaphtaliמִפְּאַתfrom the corner ofקָדִמָהeastwardעַד־פְּאַת־יָמָּהuntil the side of westwardמְנַשֶּׁהManassehאֶחָד׃one

    And by the border of Naphtali, from the east side unto the west side, a portion for Manasseh.

    וְעַלand uponגְּבוּלborder ofמְנַשֶּׁהManassehמִפְּאַתfrom the corner ofקָדִמָהeastwardעַד־פְּאַת־יָמָּהuntil the side of westwardאֶפְרַיִםEphraimאֶחָד׃one

    And by the border of Manasseh, from the east side unto the west side, a portion for Ephraim.

    And by the border of Ephraim, from the east side even unto the west side, a portion for Reuben.

    And by the border of Reuben, from the east side unto the west side, a portion for Judah.

    וְעַלand uponגְּבוּלborder ofיְהוּדָהJudahמִפְּאַתfrom the corner ofקָדִיםthe eastעַד־פְּאַת־יָמָּהuntil the side of westwardתִּהְיֶהshall beהַתְּרוּמָהthe offeringאֲשֶׁר־תָּרִימוּwhich you shall raiseחֲמִשָּׁהfiveוְעֶשְׂרִיםand twentyאֶלֶףthousandרֹחַבthe breadth ofוְאֹרֶךְand length ofכְּאַחַדas oneהַחֲלָקִיםthe partsמִפְּאַתfrom the corner ofקָדִימָהforwardעַד־פְּאַת־יָמָּהuntil the side of westwardוְהָיָהand beהַמִּקְדָּשׁthe sanctuaryבְּתוֹכוֹ׃in the midst thereof

    And by the border of Judah, from the east side unto the west side, shall be the offering which ye shall offer of five and twenty thousand reeds in breadth, and in length as one of the other parts, from the east side unto the west side: and the sanctuary shall be in the midst of it.

    הַתְּרוּמָהthe offeringאֲשֶׁרwhichתָּרִימוּyou shall raiseלַיהֹוָהto the LORDאֹרֶךְthe length ofחֲמִשָּׁהfiveוְעֶשְׂרִיםand twentyאֶלֶףthousandוְרֹחַבand the breadthעֲשֶׂרֶתtenאֲלָפִים׃thousand

    The oblation that ye shall offer unto the LORD shall be of five and twenty thousand in length, and of ten thousand in breadth.

    וּלְאֵלֶּהand to theseתִּהְיֶהshall beתְרוּמַת־הַקֹּדֶשׁthe offering of the sanctuaryלַכֹּהֲנִיםunto the priestsצָפוֹנָהnorthwardחֲמִשָּׁהfiveוְעֶשְׂרִיםand twentyאֶלֶףthousandוְיָמָּהand westwardרֹחַבthe breadth ofעֲשֶׂרֶתtenאֲלָפִיםthousandוְקָדִימָהand eastwardרֹחַבthe breadth ofעֲשֶׂרֶתtenאֲלָפִיםthousandוְנֶגְבָּהand southwardאֹרֶךְthe length ofחֲמִשָּׁהfiveוְעֶשְׂרִיםand twentyאָלֶףthousandוְהָיָהand beמִקְדַּשׁ־יְהֹוָהthe sanctuary of the LORDבְּתוֹכוֹ׃in the midst thereof

    And for them, even for the priests, shall be this holy oblation; toward the north five and twenty thousand in length, and toward the west ten thousand in breadth, and toward the east ten thousand in breadth, and toward the south five and twenty thousand in length: and the sanctuary of the LORD shall be in the midst thereof.

    לַכֹּהֲנִיםunto the priestsהַמְקֻדָּשׁthe consecrated oneמִבְּנֵיthe sons ofצָדוֹקZadokאֲשֶׁרwhichשָׁמְרוּkeptמִשְׁמַרְתִּיmy dutyאֲשֶׁרwhichלֹא־תָעוּnot wandered offבִּתְעוֹתwhen went astrayבְּנֵיthe sons ofיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelכַּאֲשֶׁרasתָּעוּwent astrayהַלְוִיִּם׃the Levites

    It shall be for the priests that are sanctified of the sons of Zadok; which have kept my charge, which went not astray when the children of Israel went astray, as the Levites went astray.

    וְהָיְתָהand it beלָהֶםto themתְּרוּמִיָּהan offeringמִתְּרוּמַתfrom the offering ofהָאָרֶץthe landקֹדֶשׁholyקׇדָשִׁיםof holiesאֶל־גְּבוּלto the border ofהַלְוִיִּם׃the Levites

    And this oblation of the land that is offered shall be unto them a thing most holy by the border of the Levites.

    וְהַלְוִיִּםand the Levitesלְעֻמַּתopposite toגְּבוּלborder ofהַכֹּהֲנִיםthe priestsחֲמִשָּׁהfiveוְעֶשְׂרִיםand twentyאֶלֶףthousandאֹרֶךְthe length ofוְרֹחַבand the breadthעֲשֶׂרֶתtenאֲלָפִיםthousandכׇּל־אֹרֶךְall length ofחֲמִשָּׁהfiveוְעֶשְׂרִיםand twentyאֶלֶףthousandוְרֹחַבand the breadthעֲשֶׂרֶתtenאֲלָפִים׃thousand

    And over against the border of the priests the Levites shall have five and twenty thousand in length, and ten thousand in breadth: all the length shall be five and twenty thousand, and the breadth ten thousand.

    וְלֹא־יִמְכְּרוּand not they will sellמִמֶּנּוּfrom himוְלֹאand notיָמֵרanyone will exchangeוְלֹאand not(יעבור)[יַעֲבִיר]one will make pass overרֵאשִׁיתthe choicest ofהָאָרֶץthe landכִּי־קֹדֶשׁbecause holyלַיהֹוָה׃to the LORD

    And they shall not sell of it, neither exchange, nor alienate the firstfruits of the land: for it is holy unto the LORD.

  15. 15

    וַחֲמֵשֶׁתand fiveאֲלָפִיםthousandהַנּוֹתָרthe what is left overבָּרֹחַבin the breadthעַל־פְּנֵיupon the face ofחֲמִשָּׁהfiveוְעֶשְׂרִיםand twentyאֶלֶףthousandחֹל־הוּאcommon it isלָעִירto the city ofלְמוֹשָׁבfor habitationוּלְמִגְרָשׁand for open landוְהָיְתָהand beהָעִירthe cityבְּתוֹכֹה׃in its midst

    And the five thousand, that are left in the breadth over against the five and twenty thousand, shall be a profane place for the city, for dwelling, and for suburbs: and the city shall be in the midst thereof.

    וְאֵלֶּהand theseמִדּוֹתֶיהָits measurementsפְּאַתthe corner ofצָפוֹןthe northחֲמֵשׁfiveמֵאוֹתhundredוְאַרְבַּעַתand four ofאֲלָפִיםthousandוּפְאַת־נֶגֶבand the side of southחֲמֵשׁfive(חמש)מֵאוֹתhundredוְאַרְבַּעַתand four ofאֲלָפִיםthousandוּמִפְּאַתand from the side ofקָדִיםthe eastחֲמֵשׁfiveמֵאוֹתhundredוְאַרְבַּעַתand four ofאֲלָפִיםthousandוּפְאַת־יָמָּהand the side of westwardחֲמֵשׁfiveמֵאוֹתhundredוְאַרְבַּעַתand four ofאֲלָפִים׃thousand

    And these shall be the measures thereof; the north side four thousand and five hundred, and the south side four thousand and five hundred, and on the east side four thousand and five hundred, and the west side four thousand and five hundred.

    וְהָיָהand beמִגְרָשׁopen landלָעִירto the city ofצָפוֹנָהnorthwardחֲמִשִּׁיםfiftyוּמָאתַיִםand two hundredוְנֶגְבָּהand southwardחֲמִשִּׁיםfiftyוּמָאתָיִםand two hundredוְקָדִימָהand eastwardחֲמִשִּׁיםfiftyוּמָאתַיִםand two hundredוְיָמָּהand westwardחֲמִשִּׁיםfiftyוּמָאתָיִם׃and two hundred

    And the suburbs of the city shall be toward the north two hundred and fifty, and toward the south two hundred and fifty, and toward the east two hundred and fifty, and toward the west two hundred and fifty.

  18. 18

    וְהַנּוֹתָרand the remainingבָּאֹרֶךְin the lengthלְעֻמַּתopposite toתְּרוּמַתoffering ofהַקֹּדֶשׁthe sanctuaryעֲשֶׂרֶתtenאֲלָפִיםthousandקָדִימָהforwardוַעֲשֶׂרֶתand tenאֲלָפִיםthousandיָמָּהwestwardוְהָיָהand beלְעֻמַּתopposite toתְּרוּמַתoffering ofהַקֹּדֶשׁthe sanctuaryוְהָיְתָהand it beתְבוּאָתֹהits produceלְלֶחֶםfor the bread ofלְעֹבְדֵיfor those that work inהָעִיר׃the city

    And the residue in length over against the oblation of the holy portion shall be ten thousand eastward, and ten thousand westward: and it shall be over against the oblation of the holy portion; and the increase thereof shall be for food unto them that serve the city.

  19. 19

    וְהָעֹבֵדand the workerהָעִירthe cityיַעַבְדוּהוּshall work itמִכֹּלof allשִׁבְטֵיtribes ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Israel

    And they that serve the city shall serve it out of all the tribes of Israel.

  20. 20

    כׇּל־הַתְּרוּמָהall the offeringחֲמִשָּׁהfiveוְעֶשְׂרִיםand twentyאֶלֶףthousandבַּחֲמִשָּׁהfor fiveוְעֶשְׂרִיםand twentyאָלֶףthousandרְבִיעִיתfoursquareתָּרִימוּyou shall raiseאֶת־תְּרוּמַתoffering ofהַקֹּדֶשׁthe sanctuaryאֶל־אֲחֻזַּתto possession ofהָעִיר׃the city

    All the oblation shall be five and twenty thousand by five and twenty thousand: ye shall offer the holy oblation foursquare, with the possession of the city.

  21. 21

    וְהַנּוֹתָרand the remainingלַנָּשִׂיאfor the princeמִזֶּהfrom hereוּמִזֶּהand from thisלִתְרוּמַת־הַקֹּדֶשׁfor the offering of the sanctuaryוְלַאֲחֻזַּתand of the possession ofהָעִירthe cityאֶל־פְּנֵיto the face ofחֲמִשָּׁהfiveוְעֶשְׂרִיםand twentyאֶלֶףthousandתְּרוּמָהan offeringעַד־גְּבוּלuntil border ofקָדִימָהforwardוְיָמָּהand westwardעַל־פְּנֵיupon the face ofחֲמִשָּׁהfiveוְעֶשְׂרִיםand twentyאֶלֶףthousandעַל־גְּבוּלupon the border ofיָמָּהwestwardלְעֻמַּתopposite toחֲלָקִיםpartsלַנָּשִׂיאfor the princeוְהָיְתָהand it beתְּרוּמַתoffering ofהַקֹּדֶשׁthe sanctuaryוּמִקְדַּשׁand templeהַבַּיִתthe houseבְּתוֹכֹה׃in its midst

    And the residue shall be for the prince, on the one side and on the other of the holy oblation, and of the possession of the city, over against the five and twenty thousand of the oblation toward the east border, and westward over against the five and twenty thousand toward the west border, over against the portions for the prince: and it shall be the holy oblation; and the sanctuary of the house shall be in the midst thereof.

  22. 22

    וּמֵאֲחֻזַּתand from the possession ofהַלְוִיִּםthe Levitesוּמֵאֲחֻזַּתand from the possession ofהָעִירthe cityבְּתוֹךְin the midst ofאֲשֶׁרwhichלַנָּשִׂיאfor the princeיִהְיֶהshall beבֵּיןamongגְּבוּלborder ofיְהוּדָהJudahוּבֵיןand betweenגְּבוּלborder ofבִּנְיָמִןBenjaminלַנָּשִׂיאfor the princeיִהְיֶה׃shall be

    Moreover from the possession of the Levites, and from the possession of the city, being in the midst of that which is the prince's, between the border of Judah and the border of Benjamin, shall be for the prince.

  23. 23

    וְיֶתֶרand the rest ofהַשְּׁבָטִיםthe tribesמִפְּאַתfrom the corner ofקָדִימָהforwardעַד־פְּאַת־יָמָּהuntil the side of westwardבִּנְיָמִןBenjaminאֶחָד׃one

    As for the rest of the tribes, from the east side unto the west side, Benjamin shall have a portion.

  24. 24

    וְעַלand uponגְּבוּלborder ofבִּנְיָמִןBenjaminמִפְּאַתfrom the corner ofקָדִימָהforwardעַד־פְּאַת־יָמָּהuntil the side of westwardשִׁמְעוֹןSimeonאֶחָד׃one

    And by the border of Benjamin, from the east side unto the west side, Simeon shall have a portion.

  25. 25

    וְעַלand uponגְּבוּלborder ofשִׁמְעוֹןSimeonמִפְּאַתfrom the corner ofקָדִימָהforwardעַד־פְּאַת־יָמָּהuntil the side of westwardיִשָּׂשכָרIssacharאֶחָד׃one

    And by the border of Simeon, from the east side unto the west side, Issachar a portion.

    וְעַלand uponגְּבוּלborder ofיִשָּׂשכָרIssacharמִפְּאַתfrom the corner ofקָדִימָהforwardעַד־פְּאַת־יָמָּהuntil the side of westwardזְבוּלֻןZebulunאֶחָד׃one

    And by the border of Issachar, from the east side unto the west side, Zebulun a portion.

    וְעַלand uponגְּבוּלborder ofזְבוּלֻןZebulunמִפְּאַתfrom the corner ofקָדִמָהeastwardעַד־פְּאַת־יָמָּהuntil the side of westwardגָּדGadאֶחָד׃one

    And by the border of Zebulun, from the east side unto the west side, Gad a portion.

    וְעַלand uponגְּבוּלborder ofגָּדGadאֶל־פְּאַתto the side ofנֶגֶבsouthתֵּימָנָהsouthwardוְהָיָהand beגְבוּלthe territory ofמִתָּמָרfrom Tamarמֵיthe waters ofמְרִיבַתMeribathקָדֵשׁKadeshנַחֲלָהto the wadiעַל־הַיָּםover the seaהַגָּדוֹל׃the great

    And by the border of Gad, at the south side southward, the border shall be even from Tamar unto the waters of strife in Kadesh, and to the river toward the great sea.

    זֹאתthisהָאָרֶץthe landאֲשֶׁר־תַּפִּילוּwhich you will make fallמִנַּחֲלָהfrom the inheritanceלְשִׁבְטֵיto the tribes ofיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelוְאֵלֶּהand theseמַחְלְקוֹתָםtheir divisionsנְאֻםsaysאֲדֹנָיLordיֱהֹוִה׃GOD

    This is the land which ye shall divide by lot unto the tribes of Israel for inheritance, and these are their portions, saith the Lord GOD.

    וְאֵלֶּהand theseתּוֹצְאֹתthe extremities ofהָעִירthe cityמִפְּאַתfrom the corner ofצָפוֹןthe northחֲמֵשׁfiveמֵאוֹתhundredוְאַרְבַּעַתand four ofאֲלָפִיםthousandמִדָּה׃size

    And these are the goings out of the city on the north side, four thousand and five hundred measures.

    וְשַׁעֲרֵיand the gates ofהָעִירthe cityעַל־שְׁמוֹתupon the names ofשִׁבְטֵיtribes ofיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelשְׁעָרִיםgatesשְׁלוֹשָׁהthreeצָפוֹנָהnorthwardשַׁעַרthe gate ofרְאוּבֵןReubenאֶחָדoneשַׁעַרthe gate ofיְהוּדָהJudahאֶחָדoneשַׁעַרthe gate ofלֵוִיLeviאֶחָד׃one

    And the gates of the city shall be after the names of the tribes of Israel: three gates northward; one gate of Reuben, one gate of Judah, one gate of Levi.

    וְאֶל־פְּאַתand the side ofקָדִימָהforwardחֲמֵשׁfiveמֵאוֹתhundredוְאַרְבַּעַתand four ofאֲלָפִיםthousandוּשְׁעָרִיםand gatesשְׁלֹשָׁהthreeוְשַׁעַרand a gateיוֹסֵףJosephאֶחָדoneשַׁעַרthe gate ofבִּנְיָמִןBenjaminאֶחָדoneשַׁעַרthe gate ofדָּןDanאֶחָד׃one

    And at the east side four thousand and five hundred: and three gates; and one gate of Joseph, one gate of Benjamin, one gate of Dan.

    וּפְאַת־נֶגְבָּהand the side of southwardחֲמֵשׁfiveמֵאוֹתhundredוְאַרְבַּעַתand four ofאֲלָפִיםthousandמִדָּהsizeוּשְׁעָרִיםand gatesשְׁלֹשָׁהthreeשַׁעַרthe gate ofשִׁמְעוֹןSimeonאֶחָדoneשַׁעַרthe gate ofיִשָּׂשכָרIssacharאֶחָדoneשַׁעַרthe gate ofזְבוּלֻןZebulunאֶחָד׃one

    And at the south side four thousand and five hundred measures: and three gates; one gate of Simeon, one gate of Issachar, one gate of Zebulun.

    פְּאַת־יָמָּהthe side of westwardחֲמֵשׁfiveמֵאוֹתhundredוְאַרְבַּעַתand four ofאֲלָפִיםthousandשַׁעֲרֵיהֶםtheir gatesשְׁלֹשָׁהthreeשַׁעַרthe gate ofגָּדGadאֶחָדoneשַׁעַרthe gate ofאָשֵׁרAsherאֶחָדoneשַׁעַרthe gate ofנַפְתָּלִיNaphtaliאֶחָד׃one

    At the west side four thousand and five hundred, with their three gates; one gate of Gad, one gate of Asher, one gate of Naphtali.

  35. 35

    סָבִיבall aroundשְׁמֹנָה־עָשָׂרeighteenאָלֶףthousandוְשֵׁם־הָעִירand the name of the cityמִיּוֹםfrom the dayיְהֹוָהthe LORDשָׁמָּה׃there

    It was round about eighteen thousand measures: and the name of the city from that day shall be, The LORD is there.
