    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passדְבַר־יְהֹוָהde/VAR-Adonaithe word of the LORDאֵלַיe/LAYto meלֵאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

    Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

    בֶּן־אָדָםben-a/DAMson of manשִׂיםsimsetפָּנֶיךָpa/NE/khayour faceעַל־הַרal-haragainst mountשֵׂעִירSe/IRSeirוְהִנָּבֵאve/hin/na/VEand prophesyעָלָיו׃a/LAYVagainst it

    Son of man, set thy face against mount Seir, and prophesy against it,

    וְאָמַרְתָּve/a/mar/TAand sayלּוֹloto himכֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODהִנְנִיhin/NIbehold Iאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khaagainst youהַר־שֵׂעִירhaR-se/IRO mount Seirוְנָטִיתִיve/na/TI/tiand I will stretch outיָדִיya/DImy handעָלֶיךָa/LE/khaagainst youוּנְתַתִּיךָu/ne/tat/TI/khaand I will make youשְׁמָמָהshe/ma/MAa desolationוּמְשַׁמָּה׃u/me/sham/MAand a waste

    And say unto it, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O mount Seir, I am against thee, and I will stretch out mine hand against thee, and I will make thee most desolate.

    עָרֶיךָa/RE/khayour citiesחׇרְבָּהchor/BAwasteאָשִׂיםa/SIMI will layוְאַתָּהve/at/TAand youשְׁמָמָהshe/ma/MAa desolationתִהְיֶהtih/YEshall beוְיָדַעְתָּve/ya/da/TAand you shall knowכִּי־אֲנִיki-a/NIthat I amיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    I will lay thy cities waste, and thou shalt be desolate, and thou shalt know that I am the LORD.

    יַעַןYA/anbecauseהֱיוֹתhe/YOThas beenלְךָle/KHAin youאֵיבַתe/VATan enmityעוֹלָםo/LAMperpetualוַתַּגֵּרvat/tag/GERand you have deliveredאֶת־בְּנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵלet-Be/NE-yis/ra/ELthe sons of Israelעַל־יְדֵי־חָרֶבal-ye/DE-CHA/revto the power of the swordבְּעֵתbe/ETin the time ofאֵידָםe/DAMtheir calamityבְּעֵתbe/ETin the time ofעֲוֺןa/VONiniquity ofקֵץ׃ketsthe end

    Because thou hast had a perpetual hatred, and hast shed the blood of the children of Israel by the force of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time that their iniquity had an end:

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeחַי־אָנִיchay-A/nias I liveנְאֻםne/UMsaysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODכִּי־לְדָםki-le/DAMsurely for bloodאֶעֶשְׂךָe/es/KHAI will prepare youוְדָםve/DAMand bloodיִרְדְּפֶךָyir/de/FE/khashall pursue youאִם־לֹאim-losince notדָםdambloodשָׂנֵאתָsa/NE/tayou have hatedוְדָםve/DAMand bloodיִרְדְּפֶךָ׃yir/de/FE/khashall pursue you

    Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will prepare thee unto blood, and blood shall pursue thee: sith thou hast not hated blood, even blood shall pursue thee.

    וְנָתַתִּיve/na/tat/TIthus I will makeאֶת־הַרet-harmountשֵׂעִירSe/IRSeirלְשִׁמְמָהle/shim/MAa wasteוּשְׁמָמָהu/she/ma/MAand a desolationוְהִכְרַתִּיve/hikh/rat/TIand cut offמִמֶּנּוּmim/MEN/nufrom itעֹבֵרo/VERhim who passesוָשָׁב׃va/SHAVand him who returns

    Thus will I make mount Seir most desolate, and cut off from it him that passeth out and him that returneth.

    וּמִלֵּאתִיu/mil/le/TIand I will fillאֶת־הָרָיוet-ha/RAYVits mountainsחֲלָלָיוcha/la/LAYVwith its slainגִּבְעוֹתֶיךָgiv/o/TE/khain your hillsוְגֵיאוֹתֶיךָve/ge/o/te/KHAand in your valleysוְכׇל־אֲפִיקֶיךָve/KHOL-a/fi/KE/khaand in all your streamsחַלְלֵי־חֶרֶבchal/LE-CHE/revthose slain by the swordיִפְּלוּyip/pe/LUshall fallבָהֶם׃va/HEMin them

    And I will fill his mountains with his slain men: in thy hills, and in thy valleys, and in all thy rivers, shall they fall that are slain with the sword.

    שִׁמְמוֹתshim/MOTa desolationעוֹלָםo/LAMperpetualאֶתֶּנְךָet/ten/KHAI will make youוְעָרֶיךָve/a/RE/khaand your citiesלֹאlonot[תָשֹׁבְנָה]ta/SHOV/nashall returnוִידַעְתֶּםvi/da/TEMand you shall knowכִּי־אֲנִיki-a/NIthat I amיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    I will make thee perpetual desolations, and thy cities shall not return: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

    יַעַןYA/anbecauseאֲמׇרְךָa/mor/KHAyou have saidאֶת־שְׁנֵיet-she/NEthese twoהַגּוֹיִםhag/go/YIMthe nationsוְאֶת־שְׁתֵּיve/ET-shteand these twoהָאֲרָצוֹתha/a/ra/TSOTthe landsלִיlimineתִהְיֶינָהtih/YE/nashall beוִירַשְׁנוּהָvi/rash/NU/haand we will possess itוַיהֹוָהve-Adonaiwhereas the LORDשָׁםshamthereהָיָה׃ha/YAwas

    Because thou hast said, These two nations and these two countries shall be mine, and we will possess it; whereas the LORD was there:

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeחַי־אָנִיchay-A/nias I liveנְאֻםne/UMsaysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODוְעָשִׂיתִיve/a/SI/tiI will doכְּאַפְּךָke/ap/pe/KHAaccording to your angerוּכְקִנְאָתְךָu/khe/kin/a/te/KHAand according to your envyאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichעָשִׂיתָהa/SI/tayou have shownמִשִּׂנְאָתֶיךָmis/sin/a/TE/khaout of your hatredבָּםbamagainst themוְנוֹדַעְתִּיve/no/DA/tiand I will make myself knownבָםvamamong themכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasאֶשְׁפְּטֶךָ׃esh/pe/TE/khaI will judge you

    Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will even do according to thine anger, and according to thine envy which thou hast used out of thy hatred against them; and I will make myself known among them, when I have judged thee.

    וְיָדַעְתָּve/ya/da/TAand you knowכִּיkithatאֲנִיa/NIIיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDשָׁמַעְתִּיsha/MA/tiI have heardאֶת־כׇּל־נָאָצוֹתֶיךָet-kol-na/a/tso/TE/khaall your blasphemiesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatאָמַרְתָּa/MAR/tayou have spokenעַל־הָרֵיal-ha/REagainst the mountains ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelלֵאמֹרle/MORsaying[שָׁמֵמוּ]sha/ME/muthey are laid desolate(שממה)shamamahלָנוּLA/nuto usנִתְּנוּnit/te/NUthey are givenלְאׇכְלָה׃le/okh/LAto consume

    And thou shalt know that I am the LORD, and that I have heard all thy blasphemies which thou hast spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, They are laid desolate, they are given us to consume.

    וַתַּגְדִּילוּvat/tag/DI/luthus you have boastedעָלַיa/LAYagainst meבְּפִיכֶםbe/fi/KHEMwith your mouthוְהַעְתַּרְתֶּםve/ha/tar/TEMand multipliedעָלַיa/LAYagainst meדִּבְרֵיכֶםdiv/re/KHEMyour wordsאֲנִיa/NIIשָׁמָעְתִּי׃sha/MA/tihave heard

    Thus with your mouth ye have boasted against me, and have multiplied your words against me: I have heard them.

    כֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODכִּשְׂמֹחַkis/MO/achwhen rejoicesכׇּל־הָאָרֶץkol-ha/A/retsthe whole earthשְׁמָמָהshe/ma/MAa desolationאֶעֱשֶׂה־לָּךְ׃e/e/SE-lakhI will make you

    Thus saith the Lord GOD; When the whole earth rejoiceth, I will make thee desolate.

    כְּשִׂמְחָתְךָke/sim/cha/te/KHAas you rejoicedלְנַחֲלַתle/na/cha/LATat the inheritance ofבֵּית־יִשְׂרָאֵלbet-Yis/ra/ELthe house of Israelעַלalbecauseאֲשֶׁר־שָׁמֵמָהa/SHER-sha/ME/mait was desolateכֵּןkensoאֶעֱשֶׂה־לָּךְe/e/SE-lakhI will do to youשְׁמָמָהshe/ma/MAa desolationתִהְיֶהtih/YEyou shall beהַר־שֵׂעִירhaR-se/IRO mount Seirוְכׇל־אֱדוֹםve/KHOL-e/DOMand all Edomכֻּלָּהּkul/LAall of itוְיָדְעוּve/ya/de/Uand they shall knowכִּי־אֲנִיki-a/NIthat I amיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    As thou didst rejoice at the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate, so will I do unto thee: thou shalt be desolate, O mount Seir, and all Idumea, even all of it: and they shall know that I am the LORD.
