   And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

   בֶּן־אָדָםben-a/DAMson of manהִנָּבֵאhin/na/VEprophesyעַל־רוֹעֵיal-ro/Eagainst the shepherds ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelהִנָּבֵאhin/na/VEprophesyוְאָמַרְתָּve/a/mar/TAand sayאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themלָרֹעִיםla/ro/IMto the shepherdsכֹּה־אָמַרko-a/MARthus saysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODהוֹיhoywoe toרֹעֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵלro/E-Yis/ra/ELthe shepherds of Israelאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoהָיוּha/YUhave beenרֹעִיםro/IMfeedingאוֹתָםo/TAMthemselvesהֲלוֹאha/LOshould notהַצֹּאןhats/TSONthe flockיִרְעוּyir/Ufeedהָרֹעִים׃ha/ro/IMthe shepherds

   Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD unto the shepherds; Woe be to the shepherds of Israel that do feed themselves! should not the shepherds feed the flocks?

   אֶת־הַחֵלֶבet-ha/CHE/levthe fatתֹּאכֵלוּto/KHE/luyou eatוְאֶת־הַצֶּמֶרve/ET-hats/TSE/merand the woolתִּלְבָּשׁוּtil/BA/shuyou clothe yourselves withהַבְּרִיאָהhab/be/ri/Athe fat onesתִּזְבָּחוּtiz/BA/chuyou slaughterהַצֹּאןhats/TSONthe flockלֹאlonotתִרְעוּ׃tir/Uyou feed

   Ye eat the fat, and ye clothe you with the wool, ye kill them that are fed: but ye feed not the flock.

   אֶת־הַנַּחְלוֹתet-han/nach/LOTthe weakלֹאlonotחִזַּקְתֶּםchiz/zak/TEMyou have strengthenedוְאֶת־הַחוֹלָהve/ET-ha/cho/LAand the sickלֹא־רִפֵּאתֶםlo-rip/pe/TEMyou have not healedוְלַנִּשְׁבֶּרֶתve/lan/nish/BE/retnor the brokenלֹאlonotחֲבַשְׁתֶּםcha/vash/TEMhave you bound upוְאֶת־הַנִּדַּחַתve/ET-han/nid/DA/chatnor the driven awayלֹאlonotהֲשֵׁבֹתֶםha/she/vo/TEMhave you brought backוְאֶת־הָאֹבֶדֶתve/ET-ha/o/VE/detnor the lostלֹאlonotבִקַּשְׁתֶּםvik/kash/TEMhave you soughtוּבְחׇזְקָהu/ve/choz/KAbut with forceרְדִיתֶםre/di/TEMyou have ruledאֹתָםo/TAMthemוּבְפָרֶךְ׃u/ve/FA/rekhand with cruelty

   The diseased have ye not strengthened, neither have ye healed that which was sick, neither have ye bound up that which was broken, neither have ye brought again that which was driven away, neither have ye sought that which was lost; but with force and with cruelty have ye ruled them.

   וַתְּפוּצֶינָהvat/te/fu/TSE/naso they were scatteredמִבְּלִיmib/be/LIbecause there was noרֹעֶהro/Eshepherdוַתִּהְיֶינָהvat/tih/YE/naand they becameלְאׇכְלָהle/okh/LAfor foodלְכׇל־חַיַּתle/KHOL-chay/YATfor all the beasts ofהַשָּׂדֶהhas/sa/DEthe fieldוַתְּפוּצֶינָה׃vat/te/fu/TSE/naand were scattered

   And they were scattered, because there is no shepherd: and they became meat to all the beasts of the field, when they were scattered.

   יִשְׁגּוּyish/GUwanderedצֹאנִיtso/NImy sheepבְּכׇל־הֶהָרִיםbe/KHOL-he/ha/RIMthrough all the mountainsוְעַלve/ALand onכׇּל־גִּבְעָהkol-giv/Aevery hillרָמָהra/MAhighוְעַלve/ALand onכׇּל־פְּנֵיkol-pe/NEall the face ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthנָפֹצוּna/FO/tsuwere scatteredצֹאנִיtso/NImy sheepוְאֵיןve/ENand there was noneדּוֹרֵשׁdo/RESHwho searchedוְאֵיןve/ENand noneמְבַקֵּשׁ׃me/vak/KESHwho sought

   My sheep wandered through all the mountains, and upon every high hill: yea, my flock was scattered upon all the face of the earth, and none did search or seek after them.

   לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeרֹעִיםro/IMO shepherdsשִׁמְעוּshim/Uhearאֶת־דְּבַרet-de/VARthe word ofיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

   Therefore, ye shepherds, hear the word of the LORD;

   חַי־אָנִיchay-A/nias I liveנְאֻםne/UMsaysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODאִם־לֹאim-losurelyיַעַןYA/anbecauseהֱיוֹת־צֹאנִיhe/YOT-tso/NImy sheep becameלָבַזla/VAZa preyוַתִּהְיֶינָהvat/tih/YE/naand becameצֹאנִיtso/NImy sheepלְאׇכְלָהle/okh/LAfor foodלְכׇל־חַיַּתle/KHOL-chay/YATfor all the beasts ofהַשָּׂדֶהhas/sa/DEthe fieldמֵאֵיןme/ENbecause there was noרֹעֶהro/Eshepherdוְלֹא־דָרְשׁוּve/LO-da/re/SHUnor did searchרֹעַיro/AYmy shepherdsאֶת־צֹאנִיet-tso/NIfor my sheepוַיִּרְעוּvay/yir/Ubut fedהָרֹעִיםha/ro/IMthe shepherdsאוֹתָםo/TAMthemselvesוְאֶת־צֹאנִיve/ET-tso/NIand my sheepלֹאlonotרָעוּ׃ra/Ufed

   As I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely because my flock became a prey, and my flock became meat to every beast of the field, because there was no shepherd, neither did my shepherds search for my flock, but the shepherds fed themselves, and fed not my flock;

   לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeהָרֹעִיםha/ro/IMO shepherdsשִׁמְעוּshim/Uhearדְּבַר־יְהֹוָה׃de/VAR-Adonaithe word of the LORD

   Therefore, O ye shepherds, hear the word of the LORD;

    כֹּה־אָמַרko-a/MARthus saysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODהִנְנִיhin/NIbehold Iאֶל־הָרֹעִיםel-ha/ro/IMagainst the shepherdsוְדָרַשְׁתִּיve/da/rash/TIand I will requireאֶת־צֹאנִיet-tso/NImy sheepמִיָּדָםmiy/ya/DAMat their handוְהִשְׁבַּתִּיםve/hish/bat/TIMand make them ceaseמֵרְעוֹתmer/OTfrom feedingצֹאןtsonthe sheepוְלֹא־יִרְעוּve/LO-yir/Unor shall feedעוֹדodagainהָרֹעִיםha/ro/IMthe shepherdsאוֹתָםo/TAMthemselvesוְהִצַּלְתִּיve/hits/tsal/TIand I will deliverצֹאנִיtso/NImy sheepמִפִּיהֶםmip/pi/HEMfrom their mouthוְלֹא־תִהְיֶיןָve/LO-tih/YE/nathat they may not beלָהֶםla/HEMfor themלְאׇכְלָה׃le/okh/LAfood

    Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against the shepherds; and I will require my flock at their hand, and cause them to cease from feeding the flock; neither shall the shepherds feed themselves any more; for I will deliver my flock from their mouth, that they may not be meat for them.

    כִּיkiforכֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODהִנְנִי־אָנִיhin/NI-A/nibehold I myselfוְדָרַשְׁתִּיve/da/rash/TIwill search forאֶת־צֹאנִיet-tso/NImy sheepוּבִקַּרְתִּים׃u/vik/kar/TIMand seek them out

    For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, will both search my sheep, and seek them out.

12. 12

    כְּבַקָּרַתke/vak/ka/RATas seeks outרֹעֶהro/Ea shepherdעֶדְרוֹed/ROhis flockבְּיוֹם־הֱיוֹתוֹbe/YOM-he/yo/TOin the day that he isבְתוֹךְ־צֹאנוֹve/TOKH-tso/NOamong his sheepנִפְרָשׁוֹתnif/ra/SHOTthat are scatteredכֵּןkensoאֲבַקֵּרa/vak/KERwill I seek outאֶת־צֹאנִיet-tso/NImy sheepוְהִצַּלְתִּיve/hits/tsal/TIand I will deliverאֶתְהֶםet/HEMthemמִכׇּל־הַמְּקוֹמֹתmik/KOL-ham/me/ko/MOTfrom all the placesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhereנָפֹצוּna/FO/tsuwere scatteredשָׁםshamthereבְּיוֹםbe/YOMin the day ofעָנָןa/NANcloudוַעֲרָפֶל׃va/a/ra/FELand thick darkness

    As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.

    וְהוֹצֵאתִיםve/ho/tse/TIMand I will bring them outמִן־הָעַמִּיםmin-ha/am/MIMfrom the peoplesוְקִבַּצְתִּיםve/kib/bats/TIMand I will gather themמִן־הָאֲרָצוֹתmin-ha/a/ra/TSOTfrom the landsוַהֲבִיאוֹתִיםva/ha/vi/o/TIMand I will bring themאֶל־אַדְמָתָםel-ad/ma/TAMto their landוּרְעִיתִיםu/re/i/TIMand feed themאֶל־הָרֵיel-ha/REon the mountains ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelבָּאֲפִיקִיםba/a/fi/KIMby the streamsוּבְכֹלu/ve/KHOLand in allמוֹשְׁבֵיmosh/VEthe inhabited places ofהָאָרֶץ׃ha/A/retsthe land

    And I will bring them out from the people, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land, and feed them upon the mountains of Israel by the rivers, and in all the inhabited places of the country.

14. 14

    בְּמִרְעֶה־טּוֹבbe/mir/E-tovin a good pastureאֶרְעֶהer/EI will feedאֹתָםo/TAMthemוּבְהָרֵיu/ve/ha/REand on the mountains ofמְרוֹם־יִשְׂרָאֵלme/ROM-Yis/ra/ELthe height of Israelיִהְיֶהyih/YEshall beנְוֵהֶםne/ve/HEMtheir foldשָׁםshamthereתִּרְבַּצְנָהtir/BATS/nashall they lieבְּנָוֶהbe/NA/vein a foldטּוֹבtovgoodוּמִרְעֶהu/mir/Eand in pastureשָׁמֵןsha/MENrichתִּרְעֶינָהtir/E/nathey shall feedאֶל־הָרֵיel-ha/REon the mountains ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

    I will feed them in a good pasture, and upon the high mountains of Israel shall their fold be: there shall they lie in a good fold, and in a fat pasture shall they feed upon the mountains of Israel.

15. 15

    אֲנִיa/NIIאֶרְעֶהer/Ewill feedצֹאנִיtso/NImy sheepוַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iאַרְבִּיצֵםar/bi/TSEMwill make them lie downנְאֻםne/UMsaysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe Lordיֱהֹוִה׃AdonaiGOD

    I will feed my flock, and I will cause them to lie down, saith the Lord GOD.

16. 16

    אֶת־הָאֹבֶדֶתet-ha/o/VE/detthe lostאֲבַקֵּשׁa/vak/KESHI will seekוְאֶת־הַנִּדַּחַתve/ET-han/nid/DA/chatand the driven awayאָשִׁיבa/SHIVI will bring backוְלַנִּשְׁבֶּרֶתve/lan/nish/BE/retand the brokenאֶחֱבֹשׁe/che/VOSHI will bind upוְאֶת־הַחוֹלָהve/ET-ha/cho/LAand the sickאֲחַזֵּקa/chaz/ZEKI will strengthenוְאֶת־הַשְּׁמֵנָהve/ET-hash/she/me/NAbut the fatוְאֶת־הַחֲזָקָהve/ET-ha/cha/za/KAand the strongאַשְׁמִידash/MIDI will destroyאֶרְעֶנָּהer/EN/naI will feed themבְמִשְׁפָּט׃ve/mish/PATwith judgment

    I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick: but I will destroy the fat and the strong; I will feed them with judgment.

17. 17

    וְאַתֵּנָהve/at/TE/naand as for youצֹאנִיtso/NImy flockכֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODהִנְנִיhin/NIbehold Iשֹׁפֵטsho/FETwill judgeבֵּין־שֶׂהben-sebetween sheepלָשֶׂהla/SEand sheepלָאֵילִיםla/e/LIMbetween ramsוְלָעַתּוּדִים׃ve/la/at/tu/DIMand goats

    And as for you, O my flock, thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I judge between cattle and cattle, between the rams and the he goats.

18. 18

    הַמְעַטham/ATis it too smallמִכֶּםmik/KEMfor youהַמִּרְעֶהham/mir/Ethe pastureהַטּוֹבhat/TOVgoodתִּרְעוּtir/Uto feed onוְיֶתֶרve/YE/terand the rest ofמִרְעֵיכֶםmir/e/KHEMyour pastureתִּרְמְסוּtir/me/SUyou must tread downבְּרַגְלֵיכֶםbe/rag/le/KHEMwith your feetוּמִשְׁקַע־מַיִםu/mish/KA-MA/yimand the clear waterתִּשְׁתּוּtish/TUto drinkוְאֵתve/ETandהַנּוֹתָרִיםhan/no/ta/RIMthe restבְּרַגְלֵיכֶםbe/rag/le/KHEMwith your feetתִּרְפֹּשׂוּן׃tir/po/SUNyou must foul

    Seemeth it a small thing unto you to have eaten up the good pasture, but ye must tread down with your feet the residue of your pastures? and to have drunk of the deep waters, but ye must foul the residue with your feet?

19. 19

    וְצֹאנִיve/tso/NIand as for my sheepמִרְמַסmir/MASwhat is trampled byרַגְלֵיכֶםrag/le/KHEMyour feetתִּרְעֶינָהtir/E/nathey eatוּמִרְפַּשׂu/mir/PASand what is fouled byרַגְלֵיכֶםrag/le/KHEMyour feetתִּשְׁתֶּינָה׃tish/TE/nathey drink

    And as for my flock, they eat that which ye have trodden with your feet; and they drink that which ye have fouled with your feet.

20. 20

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeכֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themהִנְנִי־אָנִיhin/NI-A/nibehold I myselfוְשָׁפַטְתִּיve/sha/fat/TIwill judgeבֵּין־שֶׂהben-sebetween sheepבִרְיָהvir/YAfatוּבֵיןu/VENand betweenשֶׂהsesheepרָזָה׃ra/ZAlean

    Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD unto them; Behold, I, even I, will judge between the fat cattle and between the lean cattle.

21. 21

    יַעַןYA/anbecauseבְּצַדbe/TSADwith sideוּבְכָתֵףu/ve/kha/TEFand with shoulderתֶּהְדֹּפוּteh/DO/fuyou thrustוּבְקַרְנֵיכֶםu/ve/kar/ne/KHEMand with your hornsתְּנַגְּחוּte/nag/ge/CHUyou pushכׇּל־הַנַּחְלוֹתkol-han/nach/LOTall the weakעַדaduntilאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatהֲפִיצוֹתֶםha/fi/tso/TEMyou have scatteredאוֹתָנָהo/TA/nathemאֶל־הַחוּצָה׃el-ha/CHU/tsaabroad

    Because ye have thrust with side and with shoulder, and pushed all the diseased with your horns, till ye have scattered them abroad;

22. 22

    וְהוֹשַׁעְתִּיve/ho/sha/TItherefore I will saveלְצֹאנִיle/tso/NImy flockוְלֹא־תִהְיֶינָהve/LO-tih/YE/naand they shall not beעוֹדodagainלָבַזla/VAZa preyוְשָׁפַטְתִּיve/sha/fat/TIand I will judgeבֵּיןbenbetweenשֶׂהsesheepלָשֶׂה׃la/SEand sheep

    Therefore will I save my flock, and they shall no more be a prey; and I will judge between cattle and cattle.

23. 23

    וַהֲקִמֹתִיva/ha/ki/mo/TIand I will set upעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMover themרֹעֶהro/Eshepherdאֶחָדe/CHADoneוְרָעָהve/ra/Aand he shall feedאֶתְהֶןet/HENthemאֵת־עַבְדִּיet-av/DImy servantדָוִידDa/VIDDavidהוּאhuheיִרְעֶהyir/Eshall feedאֹתָםo/TAMthemוְהוּא־יִהְיֶהve/HU-yih/YEand he shall beלָהֶןla/HENtheirלְרֹעֶה׃le/ro/Eshepherd

    And I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even my servant David; he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd.

24. 24

    וַאֲנִיva/a/NIand IיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶהְיֶהeh/YEwill beלָהֶםla/HEMtheirלֵאלֹהִיםle/lo/HIMGodוְעַבְדִּיve/av/DIand my servantדָוִדDa/VIDDavidנָשִׂיאna/SIa princeבְתוֹכָםve/to/KHAMamong themאֲנִיa/NIIיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDדִּבַּרְתִּי׃dib/BAR/tiI have spoken

    And I the LORD will be their God, and my servant David a prince among them; I the LORD have spoken it.

25. 25

    וְכָרַתִּיve/kha/rat/TIand I will makeלָהֶםla/HEMwith themבְּרִיתbe/RITa covenantשָׁלוֹםsha/LOMof peaceוְהִשְׁבַּתִּיve/hish/bat/TIand will make ceaseחַיָּה־רָעָהchay/YA-ra/Athe evil beastsמִן־הָאָרֶץmin-ha/A/retsfrom the landוְיָשְׁבוּve/ya/she/VUand they shall dwellבַמִּדְבָּרvam/mid/BARin the wildernessלָבֶטַחla/VE/tachin safetyוְיָשְׁנוּve/ya/she/NUand sleepבַּיְּעָרִים׃bay/ye/a/RIMin the woods

    And I will make with them a covenant of peace, and will cause the evil beasts to cease out of the land: and they shall dwell safely in the wilderness, and sleep in the woods.

26. 26

    וְנָתַתִּיve/na/tat/TIand I will makeאוֹתָםo/TAMthemוּסְבִיבוֹתu/se/vi/VOTand the places aroundגִּבְעָתִיgiv/a/TImy hillבְּרָכָהbe/ra/KHAa blessingוְהוֹרַדְתִּיve/ho/rad/TIand I will cause to come downהַגֶּשֶׁםhag/GE/shemthe rainבְּעִתּוֹbe/it/TOin its timeגִּשְׁמֵיgish/MEshowers ofבְרָכָהve/ra/KHAblessingיִהְיוּ׃yih/YUthere shall be

    And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing.

27. 27

    וְנָתַןve/na/TANand shall yieldעֵץetsthe tree ofהַשָּׂדֶהhas/sa/DEthe fieldאֶת־פִּרְיוֹet-pir/YOits fruitוְהָאָרֶץve/ha/A/retsand the earthתִּתֵּןtit/TENshall yieldיְבוּלָהּye/vu/LAher increaseוְהָיוּve/ha/YUand they shall beעַל־אַדְמָתָםal-ad/ma/TAMin their landלָבֶטַחla/VE/tachin safetyוְיָדְעוּve/ya/de/Uand they shall knowכִּי־אֲנִיki-a/NIthat I amיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבְּשִׁבְרִיbe/shiv/RIwhen I breakאֶת־מֹטוֹתet-mo/TOTthe bars ofעֻלָּםul/LAMtheir yokeוְהִצַּלְתִּיםve/hits/tsal/TIMand I will deliver themמִיַּדmiy/YADfrom the hand ofהָעֹבְדִיםha/ov/DIMthose who enslavedבָּהֶם׃ba/HEMthem

    And the tree of the field shall yield her fruit, and the earth shall yield her increase, and they shall be safe in their land, and shall know that I am the LORD, when I have broken the bands of their yoke, and delivered them out of the hand of those that served themselves of them.

28. 28

    וְלֹא־יִהְיוּve/LO-yih/YUand they shall noעוֹדodmore beבַּזbaza preyלַגּוֹיִםlag/go/YIMto the nationsוְחַיַּתve/chay/YATnor shall the beast ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe landלֹאlonotתֹאכְלֵםto/khe/LEMdevour themוְיָשְׁבוּve/ya/she/VUand they shall dwellלָבֶטַחla/VE/tachin safetyוְאֵיןve/ENand none shallמַחֲרִיד׃ma/cha/RIDone who terrifies

    And they shall no more be a prey to the heathen, neither shall the beast of the land devour them; but they shall dwell safely, and none shall make them afraid.

29. 29

    וַהֲקִמֹתִיva/ha/ki/mo/TIand I will raise upלָהֶםla/HEMfor themמַטָּעmat/TAa plantingלְשֵׁםle/SHEMof renownוְלֹא־יִהְיוּve/LO-yih/YUand they shall noעוֹדodmore beאֲסֻפֵיa/su/FEconsumed byרָעָבra/AVhungerבָּאָרֶץba/A/retsin the landוְלֹא־יִשְׂאוּve/LO-yis/Unor bearעוֹדodagainכְּלִמַּתke/lim/MATthe shame ofהַגּוֹיִם׃hag/go/YIMthe nations

    And I will raise up for them a plant of renown, and they shall be no more consumed with hunger in the land, neither bear the shame of the heathen any more.

30. 30

    וְיָדְעוּve/ya/de/Uand they shall knowכִּיkithatאֲנִיa/NIIיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיהֶםe/lo/he/HEMtheir Godאִתָּםit/TAMam with themוְהֵמָּהve/HEM/maand that theyעַמִּיam/MIare my peopleבֵּיתbetthe house ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelנְאֻםne/UMsaysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe Lordיֱהֹוִה׃AdonaiGOD

    Thus shall they know that I the LORD their God am with them, and that they, even the house of Israel, are my people, saith the Lord GOD.

31. 31
