   Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

   בֶּן־אָדָםben-a/DAMson of manדַּבֵּרdab/BERspeakאֶל־בְּנֵי־עַמְּךָel-be/NE-am/me/KHAto the sons of your peopleוְאָמַרְתָּve/a/mar/TAand sayאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themאֶרֶץE/retsa landכִּי־אָבִיאki-a/VIwhen I bringעָלֶיהָa/LE/haon itחָרֶבCHA/reva swordוְלָקְחוּve/la/ke/CHUand they will takeעַם־הָאָרֶץam-ha/A/retsthe people of the landאִישׁisha manאֶחָדe/CHADoneמִקְצֵיהֶםmik/tse/HEMfrom their bordersוְנָתְנוּve/na/te/NUand setאֹתוֹo/TOhimלָהֶםla/HEMfor themלְצֹפֶה׃le/tso/FEas a watchman

   Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman:

   וְרָאָהve/ra/Aand he seesאֶת־הַחֶרֶבet-ha/CHE/revthe swordבָּאָהba/Acomingעַל־הָאָרֶץal-ha/A/retson the landוְתָקַעve/ta/KAand blowsבַּשּׁוֹפָרbash/sho/FARthe trumpetוְהִזְהִירve/hiz/HIRand warnsאֶת־הָעָם׃et-ha/AMthe people

   If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people;

   וְשָׁמַעve/sha/MAand hearsהַשֹּׁמֵעַhash/sho/ME/athe one who hearsאֶת־קוֹלet-kolthe voice ofהַשּׁוֹפָרhash/sho/FARthe trumpetוְלֹאve/LOand notנִזְהָרniz/HARtake warningוַתָּבוֹאvat/ta/VOand comesחֶרֶבCHE/revthe swordוַתִּקָּחֵהוּvat/tik/ka/CHE/huand takes him awayדָּמוֹda/MOhis bloodבְּרֹאשׁוֹbe/ro/SHOon his own headיִהְיֶה׃yih/YEshall be

   Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.

   אֵת־קוֹלet-kolthe voice ofהַשּׁוֹפָרhash/sho/FARthe trumpetשָׁמַעsha/MAhe heardוְלֹאve/LOand notנִזְהָרniz/HARtook warningדָּמוֹda/MOhis bloodבּוֹboon himיִהְיֶהyih/YEshall beוְהוּאve/HUbut he whoנִזְהָרniz/HARtakes warningנַפְשׁוֹnaf/SHOhis soulמִלֵּט׃mil/LETshall save

   He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul.

   וְהַצֹּפֶהve/hats/tso/FEand the watchmanכִּי־יִרְאֶהki-yir/Eif seesאֶת־הַחֶרֶבet-ha/CHE/revthe swordבָּאָהba/Acomingוְלֹא־תָקַעve/LO-ta/KAand does not blowבַּשּׁוֹפָרbash/sho/FARthe trumpetוְהָעָםve/ha/AMand the peopleלֹא־נִזְהָרlo-niz/HARis not warnedוַתָּבוֹאvat/ta/VOand comesחֶרֶבCHE/revthe swordוַתִּקַּחvat/tik/KACHand takesמֵהֶםme/HEMfrom themנָפֶשׁNA/feshanyoneהוּאhuheבַּעֲוֺנוֹba/a/vo/NOin his iniquityנִלְקָחnil/KACHis taken awayוְדָמוֹve/da/MOand his bloodמִיַּד־הַצֹּפֶהmiy/YAD-hats/tso/FEfrom the watchman’s handאֶדְרֹשׁ׃ed/ROSHI will require

   But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand.

   וְאַתָּהve/at/TAand youבֶן־אָדָםven-a/DAMson of manצֹפֶהtso/FEa watchmanנְתַתִּיךָne/tat/TI/khaI have made youלְבֵיתle/VETfor the house ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelוְשָׁמַעְתָּve/sha/ma/TAtherefore you shall hearמִפִּיmip/PIfrom my mouthדָּבָרda/VARa wordוְהִזְהַרְתָּve/hiz/har/TAand warnאֹתָםo/TAMthemמִמֶּנִּי׃mim/MEN/nifrom me

   So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me.

   בְּאׇמְרִיbe/om/RIwhen I sayלָרָשָׁעla/ra/SHAto the wickedרָשָׁעra/SHAO wicked manמוֹתmotdieתָּמוּתta/MUTyou shall dieוְלֹאve/LOand notדִבַּרְתָּdib/BAR/tayou do speakלְהַזְהִירle/haz/HIRto warnרָשָׁעra/SHAthe wickedמִדַּרְכּוֹmid/dar/KOfrom his wayהוּאhuheרָשָׁעra/SHAwicked manבַּעֲוֺנוֹba/a/vo/NOin his iniquityיָמוּתya/MUThe shall dieוְדָמוֹve/da/MOand his bloodמִיָּדְךָmiy/ya/de/KHAfrom your handאֲבַקֵּשׁ׃a/vak/KESHI will require

   When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

   וְאַתָּהve/at/TAand youכִּי־הִזְהַרְתָּki-hiz/HAR/taif you warnרָשָׁעra/SHAthe wickedמִדַּרְכּוֹmid/dar/KOfrom his wayלָשׁוּבla/SHUVto turnמִמֶּנָּהmim/MEN/nafrom itוְלֹא־שָׁבve/LO-shavand he does not turnמִדַּרְכּוֹmid/dar/KOfrom his wayהוּאhuheבַּעֲוֺנוֹba/a/vo/NOin his iniquityיָמוּתya/MUThe shall dieוְאַתָּהve/at/TAand youנַפְשְׁךָnaf/she/KHAyour soulהִצַּלְתָּ׃hits/TSAL/tahave delivered

   Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.

    וְאַתָּהve/at/TAand youבֶן־אָדָםven-a/DAMson of manאֱמֹרe/MORsayאֶל־בֵּיתel-betto the house ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelכֵּןkenthusאֲמַרְתֶּםa/mar/TEMyou speakלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingכִּי־פְשָׁעֵינוּki-fe/sha/E/nuour transgressionsוְחַטֹּאתֵינוּve/chat/to/TE/nuand our sinsעָלֵינוּa/LE/nuare on usוּבָםu/VAMand in themאֲנַחְנוּa/NACH/nuweנְמַקִּיםne/mak/KIMwaste awayוְאֵיךְve/EKHand howנִחְיֶה׃nich/YEshould we live

    Therefore, O thou son of man, speak unto the house of Israel; Thus ye speak, saying, If our transgressions and our sins be upon us, and we pine away in them, how should we then live?

    אֱמֹרe/MORsayאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themחַי־אָנִיchay-A/nias I liveנְאֻםne/UMsaysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODאִם־אֶחְפֹּץim-ech/POTSI have no pleasureבְּמוֹתbe/MOTin the death ofהָרָשָׁעha/ra/SHAthe wickedכִּיkibutאִם־בְּשׁוּבim-be/SHUVrather in the turning ofרָשָׁעra/SHAthe wickedמִדַּרְכּוֹmid/dar/KOfrom his wayוְחָיָהve/cha/YAand liveשׁוּבוּSHU/vuturnשׁוּבוּSHU/vuturnמִדַּרְכֵיכֶםmid/dar/khe/KHEMfrom your waysהָרָעִיםha/ra/IMevilוְלָמָּהve/LAM/maand whyתָמוּתוּta/MU/tuwill you dieבֵּיתbetO house ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

    Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?

12. 12

    וְאַתָּהve/at/TAand youבֶן־אָדָםven-a/DAMson of manאֱמֹרe/MORsayאֶל־בְּנֵי־עַמְּךָel-be/NE-am/me/KHAto the sons of your peopleצִדְקַתtsid/KATthe righteousness ofהַצַּדִּיקhats/tsad/DIKthe righteousלֹאlonotתַצִּילֶנּוּtats/tsi/LEN/nushall deliver himבְּיוֹםbe/YOMin the day ofפִּשְׁעוֹpish/Ohis transgressionוְרִשְׁעַתve/rish/ATand as for the wickedness ofהָרָשָׁעha/ra/SHAthe wickedלֹא־יִכָּשֶׁלlo-yik/KA/shelhe shall not fallבָּהּbaby itבְּיוֹםbe/YOMin the day ofשׁוּבוֹshu/VOwhen he turnsמֵרִשְׁעוֹme/rish/Ofrom his wickednessוְצַדִּיקve/tsad/DIKand the righteousלֹאlonotיוּכַלyu/KHALshall be ableלִחְיוֹתlich/YOTto liveבָּהּbaby itבְּיוֹםbe/YOMin the day ofחֲטֹאתוֹ׃cha/to/TOwhen he sins

    Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the children of thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be able to live for his righteousness in the day that he sinneth.

    בְּאׇמְרִיbe/om/RIwhen I saidלַצַּדִּיקlats/tsad/DIKto the righteousחָיֹהcha/YOliveיִחְיֶהyich/YEhe shall liveוְהוּא־בָטַחve/HU-va/TACHand he trustsעַל־צִדְקָתוֹal-tsid/ka/TOin his righteousnessוְעָשָׂהve/a/SAand commitsעָוֶלA/veliniquityכׇּל־צִדְקֹתָוkol-tsid/ko/TAVall his righteous deedsלֹאlonotתִזָּכַרְנָהtiz/za/KHAR/nashall be rememberedוּבְעַוְלוֹu/ve/av/LObut in his iniquityאֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂהa/SHER-a/SAthat he has committedבּוֹbofor itיָמוּת׃ya/MUThe shall die

    When I shall say to the righteous, that he shall surely live; if he trust to his own righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he hath committed, he shall die for it.

14. 14

    וּבְאׇמְרִיu/ve/om/RIand when I sayלָרָשָׁעla/ra/SHAto the wickedמוֹתmotdieתָּמוּתta/MUTyou shall dieוְשָׁבve/SHAVif he turnsמֵחַטָּאתוֹme/chat/ta/TOfrom his sinוְעָשָׂהve/a/SAand doesמִשְׁפָּטmish/PATjusticeוּצְדָקָה׃u/tse/da/KAand righteousness

    Again, when I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; if he turn from his sin, and do that which is lawful and right;

15. 15

    חֲבֹלcha/VOLthe pledgeיָשִׁיבya/SHIVrestoresרָשָׁעra/SHAthe wickedגְּזֵלָהge/ze/LAwhat he had robbedיְשַׁלֵּםye/shal/LEMgives backבְּחֻקּוֹתbe/chuk/KOTin the statutes ofהַחַיִּיםha/chay/YIMlifeהָלַךְha/LAKHwalksלְבִלְתִּיle/vil/TIwithoutעֲשׂוֹתa/SOTcommittingעָוֶלA/veliniquityחָיוֹcha/YOliveיִחְיֶהyich/YEhe shall liveלֹאlonotיָמוּת׃ya/MUThe shall die

    If the wicked restore the pledge, give again that he had robbed, walk in the statutes of life, without committing iniquity; he shall surely live, he shall not die.

16. 16

    כׇּל־חַטֹּאתָוkol-chat/to/TAVall his sinsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatחָטָאcha/TAhe has committedלֹאlonotתִזָּכַרְנָהtiz/za/KHAR/nathey will be rememberedלוֹloagainst himמִשְׁפָּטmish/PATjusticeוּצְדָקָהu/tse/da/KAand righteousnessעָשָׂהa/SAhe has doneחָיוֹcha/YOliveיִחְיֶה׃yich/YEhe shall live

    None of his sins that he hath committed shall be mentioned unto him: he hath done that which is lawful and right; he shall surely live.

17. 17

    וְאָמְרוּve/a/me/RUyet sayבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofעַמְּךָam/me/KHAyour peopleלֹאlonotיִתָּכֵןyit/ta/KHENfairדֶּרֶךְDE/rekhthe way ofאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe Lordוְהֵמָּהve/HEM/mabut as for themדַּרְכָּםdar/KAMtheir wayלֹא־יִתָּכֵן׃lo-yit/ta/KHENnot is fair

    Yet the children of thy people say, The way of the Lord is not equal: but as for them, their way is not equal.

18. 18

    בְּשׁוּב־צַדִּיקbe/SHUV-tsad/DIKwhen the righteous turnsמִצִּדְקָתוֹmits/tsid/ka/TOfrom his righteousnessוְעָשָׂהve/a/SAand commitsעָוֶלA/veliniquityוּמֵתu/METhe shall dieבָּהֶם׃ba/HEMby them

    When the righteous turneth from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, he shall even die thereby.

19. 19

    וּבְשׁוּבu/ve/SHUVbut if turnsרָשָׁעra/SHAthe wickedמֵרִשְׁעָתוֹme/rish/a/TOfrom his wickednessוְעָשָׂהve/a/SAand doesמִשְׁפָּטmish/PATjusticeוּצְדָקָהu/tse/da/KAand righteousnessעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMby themהוּאhuheיִחְיֶה׃yich/YEhe shall live

    But if the wicked turn from his wickedness, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall live thereby.

20. 20

    וַאֲמַרְתֶּםva/a/mar/TEMand you shall sayלֹאlonotיִתָּכֵןyit/ta/KHENis fairדֶּרֶךְDE/rekhthe way ofאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe Lordאִישׁisheachכִּדְרָכָיוkid/ra/KHAYVaccording to his waysאֶשְׁפּוֹטesh/POTI will judgeאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouבֵּיתbetO house ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

    Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. O ye house of Israel, I will judge you every one after his ways.

21. 21

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passבִּשְׁתֵּי־עֶשְׂרֵהbish/TE-es/REon the twelfthשָׁנָהsha/NAyearבָּעֲשִׂרִיba/a/si/RIin the tenthבַּחֲמִשָּׁהba/cha/mish/SHAon the fifthלַחֹדֶשׁla/CHO/deshof the monthלְגָלוּתֵנוּle/ga/lu/TE/nuof our exileבָּא־אֵלַיba-e/LAYcame to meהַפָּלִיטhap/pa/LITone who had escapedמִירוּשָׁלַ͏ִםmI/ru/sha/LA/yimfrom Jerusalemלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingהֻכְּתָהhuk/ke/TAhas been struckהָעִיר׃ha/IRthe city

    And it came to pass in the twelfth year of our captivity, in the tenth month, in the fifth day of the month, that one that had escaped out of Jerusalem came unto me, saying, The city is smitten.

22. 22

    וְיַד־יְהֹוָהve/YAD-Adonaiand the hand of the LORDהָיְתָהha/ye/TAhad beenאֵלַיe/LAYon meבָּעֶרֶבba/E/revin the eveningלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeבּוֹאbocameהַפָּלִיטhap/pa/LITthe one who escapedוַיִּפְתַּחvay/yif/TACHand He had openedאֶת־פִּיet-pimy mouthעַד־בּוֹאad-bountil he cameאֵלַיe/LAYto meבַּבֹּקֶרbab/BO/kerin the morningוַיִּפָּתַחvay/yip/PA/tachso was openedפִּיpimy mouthוְלֹאve/LOand notנֶאֱלַמְתִּיne/e/LAM/tiI was muteעוֹד׃odagain

    Now the hand of the LORD was upon me in the evening, afore he that was escaped came; and had opened my mouth, until he came to me in the morning; and my mouth was opened, and I was no more dumb.

23. 23

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passדְבַר־יְהֹוָהde/VAR-Adonaithe word of the LORDאֵלַיe/LAYto meלֵאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

    Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

24. 24

    בֶּן־אָדָםben-a/DAMson of manיֹשְׁבֵיyosh/VEthose who inhabitהֶחֳרָבוֹתhe/cho/ra/VOTthe waste placesהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseעַל־אַדְמַתal-ad/MATin the land ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelאֹמְרִיםom/RIMsayלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingאֶחָדe/CHADone manהָיָהha/YAwasאַבְרָהָםAv/ra/HAMAbrahamוַיִּירַשׁvay/yi/RASHand he possessedאֶת־הָאָרֶץet-ha/A/retsthe landוַאֲנַחְנוּva/a/NACH/nubut we areרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyלָנוּLA/nuto usנִתְּנָהnit/te/NAis givenהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe landלְמוֹרָשָׁה׃le/mo/ra/SHAfor a possession

    Son of man, they that inhabit those wastes of the land of Israel speak, saying, Abraham was one, and he inherited the land: but we are many; the land is given us for inheritance.

25. 25

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeאֱמֹרe/MORsayאֲלֵהֶםa/le/HEMto themכֹּה־אָמַרko-a/MARthus saysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODעַל־הַדָּםal-had/DAMwith the bloodתֹּאכֵלוּto/KHE/luyou eatוְעֵינֵכֶםve/e/ne/KHEMand your eyesתִּשְׂאוּtis/Uyou lift upאֶל־גִּלּוּלֵיכֶםel-gil/lu/le/KHEMto your idolsוְדָםve/DAMand bloodתִּשְׁפֹּכוּtish/PO/khuyou shedוְהָאָרֶץve/ha/A/retsand shall the landתִּירָשׁוּ׃ti/RA/shuyou possess

    Wherefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Ye eat with the blood, and lift up your eyes toward your idols, and shed blood: and shall ye possess the land?

26. 26

    עֲמַדְתֶּםa/mad/TEMyou relyעַל־חַרְבְּכֶםal-char/be/KHEMon your swordעֲשִׂיתֶןa/si/TENyou commitתּוֹעֵבָהto/e/VAabominationוְאִישׁve/ISHand eachאֶת־אֵשֶׁתet-E/shetthe wife ofרֵעֵהוּre/E/huhis neighborטִמֵּאתֶםtim/me/TEMyou defileוְהָאָרֶץve/ha/A/retsand shall the landתִּירָשׁוּ׃ti/RA/shuyou possess

    Ye stand upon your sword, ye work abomination, and ye defile every one his neighbour's wife: and shall ye possess the land?

27. 27

    כֹּה־תֹאמַרko-to/MARthus shall you sayאֲלֵהֶםa/le/HEMto themכֹּה־אָמַרko-a/MARthus saysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODחַי־אָנִיchay-A/nias I liveאִם־לֹאim-losurelyאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthose who areבֶּחֳרָבוֹתbe/cho/ra/VOTare in the waste placesבַּחֶרֶבba/CHE/revby the swordיִפֹּלוּyip/PO/luthey must fallוַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand him who isעַל־פְּנֵיal-pe/NEin the openהַשָּׂדֶהhas/sa/DEthe fieldלַחַיָּהla/chay/YAto the beastsנְתַתִּיוne/tat/TIVI will giveלְאׇכְלוֹle/okh/LOto be devouredוַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand those who areבַּמְּצָדוֹתbam/me/tsa/DOTin the strongholdsוּבַמְּעָרוֹתu/vam/me/a/ROTand in the cavesבַּדֶּבֶרbad/DE/verof the pestilenceיָמוּתוּ׃ya/MU/tushall die

    Say thou thus unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; As I live, surely they that are in the wastes shall fall by the sword, and him that is in the open field will I give to the beasts to be devoured, and they that be in the forts and in the caves shall die of the pestilence.

28. 28

    וְנָתַתִּיve/na/tat/TIfor I will makeאֶת־הָאָרֶץet-ha/A/retsthe landשְׁמָמָהshe/ma/MAa desolationוּמְשַׁמָּהu/me/sham/MAand a wasteוְנִשְׁבַּתve/nish/BATand shall ceaseגְּאוֹןge/ONthe pride ofעֻזָּהּuz/ZAher powerוְשָׁמְמוּve/sha/me/MUand shall be desolateהָרֵיha/REthe mountains ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelמֵאֵיןme/ENso that no oneעוֹבֵר׃o/VERpasses through

    For I will lay the land most desolate, and the pomp of her strength shall cease; and the mountains of Israel shall be desolate, that none shall pass through.

29. 29

    וְיָדְעוּve/ya/de/Uand they shall knowכִּי־אֲנִיki-a/NIthat I amיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבְּתִתִּיbe/tit/TIwhen I have madeאֶת־הָאָרֶץet-ha/A/retsthe landשְׁמָמָהshe/ma/MAa desolationוּמְשַׁמָּהu/me/sham/MAand a wasteעַלalbecause ofכׇּל־תּוֹעֲבֹתָםkol-to/a/vo/TAMall their abominationsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatעָשׂוּ׃a/SUthey did

    Then shall they know that I am the LORD, when I have laid the land most desolate because of all their abominations which they have committed.

    וְאַתָּהve/at/TAand youבֶן־אָדָםven-a/DAMson of manבְּנֵיbe/NEthe children ofעַמְּךָam/me/KHAyour peopleהַנִּדְבָּרִיםhan/nid/ba/RIMstill talkבְּךָbe/KHAabout youאֵצֶלE/tselbyהַקִּירוֹתhak/ki/ROTthe wallsוּבְפִתְחֵיu/ve/fit/CHEand in the doors ofהַבָּתִּיםhab/bat/TIMthe housesוְדִבֶּר־חַדve/dib/BER-chadand speak oneאֶת־אַחַדet-a/CHADto anotherאִישׁisheachאֶת־אָחִיוet-a/CHIVto his brotherלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingבֹּאוּ־נָאBO/u-nacome nowוְשִׁמְעוּve/shim/Uand hearמָהmawhatהַדָּבָרhad/da/VARis the wordהַיּוֹצֵאhay/yo/TSEthat comes outמֵאֵתme/ETfromיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    Also, thou son of man, the children of thy people still are talking against thee by the walls and in the doors of the houses, and speak one to another, every one to his brother, saying, Come, I pray you, and hear what is the word that cometh forth from the LORD.

    וְיָבוֹאוּve/ya/VO/uand they comeאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khato youכִּמְבוֹא־עָםkim/VO-amas people comeוְיֵשְׁבוּve/yesh/VUand they sitלְפָנֶיךָle/fa/NE/khabefore youעַמִּיam/MIas my peopleוְשָׁמְעוּve/sha/me/Uand they hearאֶת־דְּבָרֶיךָet-de/va/RE/khayour wordsוְאוֹתָםve/o/TAMbut themלֹאlonotיַעֲשׂוּya/a/SUthey will doכִּי־עֲגָבִיםki-a/ga/VIMfor lustsבְּפִיהֶםbe/fi/HEMin their mouthsהֵמָּהHEM/matheyעֹשִׂיםo/SIMdoאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterבִצְעָםvits/AMtheir gainלִבָּםlib/BAMtheir heartהֹלֵךְ׃ho/LEKHgoes

    And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they shew much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness.

    וְהִנְּךָve/hin/ne/KHAand behold you areלָהֶםla/HEMto themכְּשִׁירke/SHIRlike a song ofעֲגָבִיםa/ga/VIMloveיְפֵהye/FEbeautiful ofקוֹלkolvoiceוּמֵטִבu/me/TIVand one who plays wellנַגֵּןnag/GENon an instrumentוְשָׁמְעוּve/sha/me/Ufor they hearאֶת־דְּבָרֶיךָet-de/va/RE/khayour wordsוְעֹשִׂיםve/o/SIMbut doאֵינָםe/NAMthey do notאוֹתָם׃o/TAMthem

    And, lo, thou art unto them as a very lovely song of one that hath a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument: for they hear thy words, but they do them not.

33. 33

    וּבְבֹאָהּu/ve/vo/Aand when this comesהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdבָאָהva/Ait will comeוְיָדְעוּve/ya/de/Uand they shall knowכִּיkithatנָבִיאna/VIa prophetהָיָהha/YAhas beenבְתוֹכָם׃ve/to/KHAMamong them

    And when this cometh to pass, (lo, it will come,) then shall they know that a prophet hath been among them.
