   וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passדְבַר־יְהֹוָהde/VAR-Adonaithe word of the LORDאֵלַיe/LAYto meלֵאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

   The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,

   בֶּן־אָדָםben-a/DAMson of manהִנָּבֵאhin/na/VEprophesyוְאָמַרְתָּve/a/mar/TAand sayכֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODהֵילִילוּhe/LI/luwailהָהּhaalasלַיּוֹם׃lay/YOMfor the day

   Son of man, prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Howl ye, Woe worth the day!

   כִּי־קָרוֹבki-ka/ROVfor is nearיוֹםyomthe dayוְקָרוֹבve/ka/ROVeven nearיוֹםyomthe dayלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaiof the LORDיוֹםyoma day ofעָנָןa/NANcloudsעֵתetthe time ofגּוֹיִםgo/YIMthe nationsיִהְיֶה׃yih/YEit shall be

   For the day is near, even the day of the LORD is near, a cloudy day; it shall be the time of the heathen.

   וּבָאָהu/VA/aand shall comeחֶרֶבCHE/revthe swordבְּמִצְרַיִםbe/Mits/RA/yimon Egyptוְהָיְתָהve/ha/ye/TAand shall beחַלְחָלָהchal/cha/LAanguishבְּכוּשׁbe/KHUSHin Cushבִּנְפֹלbin/FOLwhen fallחָלָלcha/LALthe slainבְּמִצְרָיִםbe/Mits/RA/yimin Egyptוְלָקְחוּve/la/ke/CHUand they shall take awayהֲמוֹנָהּha/mo/NAits multitudeוְנֶהֶרְסוּve/ne/her/SUand shall be broken downיְסֹדוֹתֶיהָ׃ye/so/do/te/HAher foundations

   And the sword shall come upon Egypt, and great pain shall be in Ethiopia, when the slain shall fall in Egypt, and they shall take away her multitude, and her foundations shall be broken down.

   כּוּשׁKushCushוּפוּטu/FUTand Putוְלוּדve/LUDand Ludוְכׇל־הָעֶרֶבve/KHOL-ha/E/revand all the mixed peopleוְכוּבve/KHUVand Chubוּבְנֵיu/ve/NEand the sons ofאֶרֶץE/retsthe land ofהַבְּרִיתhab/be/RITthe covenantאִתָּםit/TAMwith themבַּחֶרֶבba/CHE/revby the swordיִפֹּלוּ׃yip/PO/lushall fall

   Ethiopia, and Libya, and Lydia, and all the mingled people, and Chub, and the men of the land that is in league, shall fall with them by the sword.

   כֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוְנָפְלוּve/na/fe/LUalso shall fallסֹמְכֵיsom/KHEthose who upholdמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptוְיָרַדve/ya/RADand shall come downגְּאוֹןge/ONthe pride ofעֻזָּהּuz/ZAher powerמִמִּגְדֹּלmim/Mig/DOLfrom MigdolסְוֵנֵהSe/ve/NEto Syeneבַּחֶרֶבba/CHE/revby the swordיִפְּלוּ־בָהּyip/pe/LU-vashall they fall in itנְאֻםne/UMsaysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe Lordיֱהֹוִה׃AdonaiGOD

   Thus saith the LORD; They also that uphold Egypt shall fall; and the pride of her power shall come down: from the tower of Syene shall they fall in it by the sword, saith the Lord GOD.

   וְנָשַׁמּוּve/na/SHAM/muand they shall be desolateבְּתוֹךְbe/TOKHin the midst ofאֲרָצוֹתa/ra/TSOTlandsנְשַׁמּוֹתne/sham/MOTthat are desolateוְעָרָיוve/a/RAYVand its citiesבְּתוֹךְ־עָרִיםbe/TOKH-a/RIMamong citiesנַחֲרָבוֹתna/cha/ra/VOTthat are wastedתִּהְיֶינָה׃tih/YE/nashall be

   And they shall be desolate in the midst of the countries that are desolate, and her cities shall be in the midst of the cities that are wasted.

8. 8

   וְיָדְעוּve/ya/de/Uand they shall knowכִּי־אֲנִיki-a/NIthat I amיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבְּתִתִּי־אֵשׁbe/tit/TI-eshwhen I have set a fireבְּמִצְרַיִםbe/Mits/RA/yimin Egyptוְנִשְׁבְּרוּve/nish/be/RUand shall be brokenכׇּל־עֹזְרֶיהָ׃kol-oz/RE/haall its helpers

   And they shall know that I am the LORD, when I have set a fire in Egypt, and when all her helpers shall be destroyed.

   בַּיּוֹםbay/YOMin the dayהַהוּאha/HUthatיֵצְאוּyets/Ushall go outמַלְאָכִיםmal/a/KHIMmessengersמִלְּפָנַיmil/le/fa/NAYfrom before meבַּצִּיםbats/TSIMin shipsלְהַחֲרִידle/ha/cha/RIDto terrifyאֶת־כּוּשׁet-KushCushבֶּטַחBE/tachsecureוְהָיְתָהve/ha/ye/TAand shall comeחַלְחָלָהchal/cha/LAanguishבָהֶםva/HEMon themבְּיוֹםbe/YOMas in the day ofמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptכִּיkiforהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdבָּאָה׃ba/Ait comes

   In that day shall messengers go forth from me in ships to make the careless Ethiopians afraid, and great pain shall come upon them, as in the day of Egypt: for, lo, it cometh.

10. 10

    כֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODוְהִשְׁבַּתִּיve/hish/bat/TII will also make ceaseאֶת־הֲמוֹןet-ha/MONthe multitude ofמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptבְּיַדbe/YADby the hand ofנְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּרNe/vu/khad/re/TSARNebuchadrezzarמֶלֶךְ־בָּבֶל׃ME/lekh-Ba/VELthe king of Babylon

    Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also make the multitude of Egypt to cease by the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon.

11. 11

    הוּאhuheוְעַמּוֹve/am/MOand his peopleאִתּוֹit/TOwith himעָרִיצֵיa/ri/TSEthe terrible ofגוֹיִםgo/YIMnationsמוּבָאִיםmu/va/IMshall be broughtלְשַׁחֵתle/sha/CHETto destroyהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe landוְהֵרִיקוּve/he/RI/kuand they shall drawחַרְבוֹתָםchar/vo/TAMtheir swordsעַל־מִצְרַיִםal-Mits/RA/yimagainst Egyptוּמָלְאוּu/ma/le/Uand fillאֶת־הָאָרֶץet-ha/A/retsthe landחָלָל׃cha/LALwith the slain

    He and his people with him, the terrible of the nations, shall be brought to destroy the land: and they shall draw their swords against Egypt, and fill the land with the slain.

12. 12

    וְנָתַתִּיve/na/tat/TIand I will makeיְאֹרִיםye/o/RIMthe riversחׇרָבָהcho/ra/VAdryוּמָכַרְתִּיu/ma/khar/TIand sellאֶת־הָאָרֶץet-ha/A/retsthe landבְּיַד־רָעִיםbe/YAD-ra/IMinto the hand of the wickedוַהֲשִׁמֹּתִיva/ha/shim/mo/TIand I will make desolateאֶרֶץE/retsthe landוּמְלֹאָהּu/me/lo/Aand all that is in itבְּיַד־זָרִיםbe/YAD-za/RIMby the hand of strangersאֲנִיa/NIIיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDדִּבַּרְתִּי׃dib/BAR/tiI have spoken

    And I will make the rivers dry, and sell the land into the hand of the wicked: and I will make the land waste, and all that is therein, by the hand of strangers: I the LORD have spoken it.

    כֹּה־אָמַרko-a/MARthus saysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODוְהַאֲבַדְתִּיve/ha/a/vad/TII will also destroyגִלּוּלִיםgil/lu/LIMthe idolsוְהִשְׁבַּתִּיve/hish/bat/TIand will make ceaseאֱלִילִיםe/li/LIMthe imagesמִנֹּףmin/NOFfrom Nophוְנָשִׂיאve/na/SIand a princeמֵאֶרֶץ־מִצְרַיִםme/E/rets-mits/RA/yimfrom the land of Egyptלֹאlonotיִהְיֶה־עוֹדyih/YE-odshall there be againוְנָתַתִּיve/na/tat/TIand I will putיִרְאָהyir/Afearבְּאֶרֶץbe/E/retsin the land ofמִצְרָיִם׃Mits/RA/yimEgypt

    Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also destroy the idols, and I will cause their images to cease out of Noph; and there shall be no more a prince of the land of Egypt: and I will put a fear in the land of Egypt.

    וַהֲשִׁמֹּתִיva/ha/shim/mo/TIand I will make desolateאֶת־פַּתְרוֹסet-Pat/ROSPathrosוְנָתַתִּיve/na/tat/TIand will setאֵשׁeshfireבְּצֹעַןbe/TSO/anin Zoanוְעָשִׂיתִיve/a/SI/tiand I will executeשְׁפָטִיםshe/fa/TIMjudgmentsבְּנֹא׃be/NOin No

    And I will make Pathros desolate, and will set fire in Zoan, and will execute judgments in No.

15. 15

    וְשָׁפַכְתִּיve/sha/fakh/TIand I will pour outחֲמָתִיcha/ma/TImy furyעַל־סִיןal-Sinon Sinמָעוֹזma/OZthe stronghold ofמִצְרָיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptוְהִכְרַתִּיve/hikh/rat/TIand I will cut offאֶת־הֲמוֹןet-ha/MONthe multitude ofנֹא׃noNo

    And I will pour my fury upon Sin, the strength of Egypt; and I will cut off the multitude of No.

16. 16

    וְנָתַתִּיve/na/tat/TIand I will setאֵשׁeshfireבְּמִצְרַיִםbe/Mits/RA/yimin Egyptחוּלchulwrithe(תחיל)tachayal[תָּחוּל]ta/CHULshall writheסִיןSinSinוְנֹאve/NOand Noתִּהְיֶהtih/YEshall beלְהִבָּקֵעַle/hib/ba/KE/abreachedוְנֹףve/NOFand Nophצָרֵיtsa/REfoesיוֹמָם׃yo/MAMdaily

    And I will set fire in Egypt: Sin shall have great pain, and No shall be rent asunder, and Noph shall have distresses daily.

17. 17

    בַּחוּרֵיba/CHU/rethe young men ofאָוֶןA/venAvenוּפִי־בֶסֶתu/FI-VE/setand Pi-besethבַּחֶרֶבba/CHE/revby the swordיִפֹּלוּyip/PO/lushall fallוְהֵנָּהve/HEN/naand these citiesבַּשְּׁבִיbash/she/VIinto captivityתֵלַכְנָה׃te/LAKH/nashall go

    The young men of Aven and of Pi-beseth shall fall by the sword: and these cities shall go into captivity.

18. 18

    וּבִתְחַפְנְחֵסu/Vit/chaf/ne/CHESand in Tahpanhesחָשַׂךְcha/SAKHshall be darkenedהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthe dayבְּשִׁבְרִי־שָׁםbe/shiv/RI-shamwhen I break thereאֶת־מֹטוֹתet-mo/TOTthe yokes ofמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptוְנִשְׁבַּת־בָּהּve/nish/BAT-baand shall cease in herגְּאוֹןge/ONthe pride ofעֻזָּהּuz/ZAher powerהִיאhias for herעָנָןa/NANa cloudיְכַסֶּנָּהye/khas/SEN/nashall cover herוּבְנוֹתֶיהָu/ve/no/TE/haand her daughtersבַּשְּׁבִיbash/she/VIinto captivityתֵלַכְנָה׃te/LAKH/nashall go

    At Tehaphnehes also the day shall be darkened, when I shall break there the yokes of Egypt: and the pomp of her strength shall cease in her: as for her, a cloud shall cover her, and her daughters shall go into captivity.

19. 19

    וְעָשִׂיתִיve/a/SI/tiand I will executeשְׁפָטִיםshe/fa/TIMjudgmentsבְּמִצְרָיִםbe/Mits/RA/yimin Egyptוְיָדְעוּve/ya/de/Uand they shall knowכִּי־אֲנִיki-a/NIthat I amיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    Thus will I execute judgments in Egypt: and they shall know that I am the LORD.

20. 20

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passבְּאַחַת־עֶשְׂרֵהbe/a/CHAT-es/REon the eleventhשָׁנָהsha/NAyearבָּרִאשׁוֹןba/ri/SHONin the firstבְּשִׁבְעָהbe/shiv/Aon the seventhלַחֹדֶשׁla/CHO/deshof the monthהָיָהha/YAcameדְבַר־יְהֹוָהde/VAR-Adonaithe word of the LORDאֵלַיe/LAYto meלֵאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

    And it came to pass in the eleventh year, in the first month, in the seventh day of the month, that the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

21. 21

    בֶּן־אָדָםben-a/DAMson of manאֶת־זְרוֹעַet-ze/RO/athe arm ofפַּרְעֹהPar/OPharaohמֶלֶךְ־מִצְרַיִםME/lekh-Mits/RA/yimking of Egyptשָׁבָרְתִּיsha/VAR/tiI have brokenוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdלֹא־חֻבְּשָׁהlo-chub/be/SHAit has not been bound upלָתֵתla/TETto applyרְפֻאוֹתre/fu/OTmedicinesלָשׂוּםla/SUMto putחִתּוּלchit/TULa bandageלְחׇבְשָׁהּle/chov/SHAto bind itלְחׇזְקָהּle/choz/KAto make it strongלִתְפֹּשׂlit/POSto holdבֶּחָרֶב׃be/CHA/revthe sword

    Son of man, I have broken the arm of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and, lo, it shall not be bound up to be healed, to put a roller to bind it, to make it strong to hold the sword.

22. 22

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeכֹּה־אָמַרko-a/MARthus saysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODהִנְנִיhin/NIbehold Iאֶל־פַּרְעֹהel-Par/Oagainst Pharaohמֶלֶךְ־מִצְרַיִםME/lekh-Mits/RA/yimthe king of Egyptוְשָׁבַרְתִּיve/sha/var/TIand I will breakאֶת־זְרֹעֹתָיוet-ze/ro/o/TAYVhis armsאֶת־הַחֲזָקָהet-ha/cha/za/KAthe strongוְאֶת־הַנִּשְׁבָּרֶתve/ET-han/nish/BA/retand the brokenוְהִפַּלְתִּיve/hip/pal/TIand I will cause to fallאֶת־הַחֶרֶבet-ha/CHE/revthe swordמִיָּדוֹ׃miy/ya/DOfrom his hand

    Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and will break his arms, the strong, and that which was broken; and I will cause the sword to fall out of his hand.

    וַהֲפִצוֹתִיva/ha/fi/tso/TIand I will scatterאֶת־מִצְרַיִםet-Mits/RA/yimEgyptבַּגּוֹיִםbag/go/YIMamong the nationsוְזֵרִיתִםve/ze/ri/TIMand I will disperse themבָּאֲרָצוֹת׃ba/a/ra/TSOTin the lands

    And I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and will disperse them through the countries.

24. 24

    וְחִזַּקְתִּיve/chiz/zak/TIand I will strengthenאֶת־זְרֹעוֹתet-ze/ro/OTthe arms ofמֶלֶךְME/lekhthe king ofבָּבֶלBa/VELBabylonוְנָתַתִּיve/na/tat/TIand putאֶת־חַרְבִּיet-char/BImy swordבְּיָדוֹbe/ya/DOin his handוְשָׁבַרְתִּיve/sha/var/TIand I will breakאֶת־זְרֹעוֹתet-ze/ro/OTthe arms ofפַּרְעֹהPar/OPharaohוְנָאַקve/na/AKand he shall groanנַאֲקוֹתna/a/KOTwith the groanings ofחָלָלcha/LALa mortally wounded manלְפָנָיו׃le/fa/NAYVbefore him

    And I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and put my sword in his hand: but I will break Pharaoh's arms, and he shall groan before him with the groanings of a deadly wounded man.

    וְהַחֲזַקְתִּיve/ha/cha/zak/TIbut I will strengthenאֶת־זְרֹעוֹתet-ze/ro/OTthe arms ofמֶלֶךְME/lekhthe king ofבָּבֶלBa/VELBabylonוּזְרֹעוֹתu/ze/ro/OTand the arms ofפַּרְעֹהPar/OPharaohתִּפֹּלְנָהtip/POL/nashall fallוְיָדְעוּve/ya/de/Uand they shall knowכִּי־אֲנִיki-a/NIthat I amיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבְּתִתִּיbe/tit/TIwhen I putחַרְבִּיchar/BImy swordבְּיַדbe/YADinto the hand ofמֶלֶךְ־בָּבֶלME/lekh-Ba/VELthe king of Babylonוְנָטָהve/na/TAand he stretches outאוֹתָהּo/TAitאֶל־אֶרֶץel-E/retsagainst the land ofמִצְרָיִם׃Mits/RA/yimEgypt

    But I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and the arms of Pharaoh shall fall down; and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall put my sword into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall stretch it out upon the land of Egypt.

26. 26

    וַהֲפִצוֹתִיva/ha/fi/tso/TIand I will scatterאֶת־מִצְרַיִםet-Mits/RA/yimEgyptבַּגּוֹיִםbag/go/YIMamong the nationsוְזֵרִיתִיve/ze/ri/TIand disperseאוֹתָםo/TAMthemבָּאֲרָצוֹתba/a/ra/TSOTin the landsוְיָדְעוּve/ya/de/Uand they shall knowכִּי־אֲנִיki-a/NIthat I amיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    And I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and disperse them among the countries; and they shall know that I am the LORD.
