   In the tenth year, in the tenth month, in the twelfth day of the month, the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

   בֶּן־אָדָםben-a/DAMson of manשִׂיםsimsetפָּנֶיךָpa/NE/khayour faceעַל־פַּרְעֹהal-Par/Oagainst PharaohמֶלֶךְME/lekhthe king ofמִצְרָיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptוְהִנָּבֵאve/hin/na/VEand prophesyעָלָיוa/LAYVagainst himוְעַל־מִצְרַיִםve/AL-mits/RA/yimand against Egyptכֻּלָּהּ׃kul/LAall

   Son of man, set thy face against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and prophesy against him, and against all Egypt:

   דַּבֵּרdab/BERspeakוְאָמַרְתָּve/a/mar/TAand sayכֹּה־אָמַרko-a/MARthus saysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODהִנְנִיhin/NIbehold Iעָלֶיךָa/LE/khaagainst youפַּרְעֹהPar/OPharaohמֶלֶךְ־מִצְרַיִםME/lekh-Mits/RA/yimthe king of Egyptהַתַּנִּיםhat/tan/NIMthe dragonהַגָּדוֹלhag/ga/DOLthe greatהָרֹבֵץha/ro/VETSthat liesבְּתוֹךְbe/TOKHin the midst ofיְאֹרָיוye/o/RAYVhis riversאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichאָמַרa/MARsaidלִיlito meיְאֹרִיYe/o/RImy Nileוַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iעֲשִׂיתִנִי׃a/si/TI/niI have made it for myself

   Speak, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great dragon that lieth in the midst of his rivers, which hath said, My river is mine own, and I have made it for myself.

   וְנָתַתִּיve/na/tat/TIbut I will put[חַחִים]cha/CHIMhooksבִּלְחָיֶיךָbil/cha/YE/khain your jawsוְהִדְבַּקְתִּיve/hid/bak/TIand I will cause to stickדְגַת־יְאֹרֶיךָde/GAT-ye/o/RE/khathe fish of your riversבְּקַשְׂקְשֹׂתֶיךָbe/kas/ke/so/TE/khato your scalesוְהַעֲלִיתִיךָve/ha/a/li/TI/khaand I will bring you upמִתּוֹךְmit/TOKHfrom the midst ofיְאֹרֶיךָye/o/RE/khayour riversוְאֵתve/ETandכׇּל־דְּגַתkol-de/GATall the fish ofיְאֹרֶיךָye/o/RE/khayour riversבְּקַשְׂקְשֹׂתֶיךָbe/kas/ke/so/TE/khato your scalesתִּדְבָּק׃tid/BAKshall stick

   But I will put hooks in thy jaws, and I will cause the fish of thy rivers to stick unto thy scales, and I will bring thee up out of the midst of thy rivers, and all the fish of thy rivers shall stick unto thy scales.

   וּנְטַשְׁתִּיךָu/ne/tash/TI/khaand I will leave youהַמִּדְבָּרָהham/mid/BA/rainto the wildernessאוֹתְךָot/KHAyouוְאֵתve/ETandכׇּל־דְּגַתkol-de/GATall the fish ofיְאֹרֶיךָye/o/RE/khayour riversעַל־פְּנֵיal-pe/NEon the face ofהַשָּׂדֶהhas/sa/DEthe fieldתִּפּוֹלtip/POLyou shall fallלֹאlonotתֵאָסֵףte/a/SEFbe gatheredוְלֹאve/LOand notתִקָּבֵץtik/ka/VETSbe collectedלְחַיַּתle/chay/YATto the beasts ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthוּלְעוֹףu/le/OFand to the birds ofהַשָּׁמַיִםhash/sha/MA/yimthe heavensנְתַתִּיךָne/tat/TI/khaI have given youלְאׇכְלָה׃le/okh/LAfor food

   And I will leave thee thrown into the wilderness, thee and all the fish of thy rivers: thou shalt fall upon the open fields; thou shalt not be brought together, nor gathered: I have given thee for meat to the beasts of the field and to the fowls of the heaven.

   וְיָדְעוּve/ya/de/Uand they shall knowכׇּל־יֹשְׁבֵיkol-yosh/VEall the inhabitants ofמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptכִּיkithatאֲנִיa/NIIיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDיַעַןYA/anbecauseהֱיוֹתָםhe/yo/TAMthey have beenמִשְׁעֶנֶתmish/E/netthe staff ofקָנֶהka/NEreedלְבֵיתle/VETto the house ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

   And all the inhabitants of Egypt shall know that I am the LORD, because they have been a staff of reed to the house of Israel.

7. 7

   בְּתׇפְשָׂםbe/tof/SAMwhen they took holdבְּךָbe/KHAof you(בכפך)vakhafakh[בַכַּף]vak/KAFby the handתֵּרוֹץte/ROTSyou brokeוּבָקַעְתָּu/va/ka/TAand toreלָהֶםla/HEMtheirכׇּל־כָּתֵףkol-ka/TEFevery shoulderוּבְהִשָּׁעֲנָםu/ve/hish/sha/a/NAMand when they leanedעָלֶיךָa/LE/khaon youתִּשָּׁבֵרtish/sha/VERyou brokeוְהַעֲמַדְתָּve/ha/a/mad/TAand made standלָהֶםla/HEMtheirכׇּל־מׇתְנָיִם׃kol-mot/NA/yimall loins

   When they took hold of thee by thy hand, thou didst break, and rend all their shoulder: and when they leaned upon thee, thou brakest, and madest all their loins to be at a stand.

   לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeכֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODהִנְנִיhin/NIbehold Iמֵבִיאme/VIwill bringעָלַיִךְa/LA/yikhon youחָרֶבCHA/reva swordוְהִכְרַתִּיve/hikh/rat/TIand cut offמִמֵּךְmim/MEKHfrom youאָדָםa/DAMmanוּבְהֵמָה׃u/ve/he/MAand beast

   Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will bring a sword upon thee, and cut off man and beast out of thee.

9. 9

   וְהָיְתָהve/ha/ye/TAand shall beאֶרֶץ־מִצְרַיִםE/rets-Mits/RA/yimthe land of Egyptלִשְׁמָמָהlish/ma/MAa desolationוְחׇרְבָּהve/chor/BAand a wasteוְיָדְעוּve/ya/de/Uand they shall knowכִּי־אֲנִיki-a/NIthat I amיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDיַעַןYA/anbecauseאָמַרa/MARhe has saidיְאֹרYe/ORthe Nile isלִיlimineוַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iעָשִׂיתִי׃a/SI/tihave made it

   And the land of Egypt shall be desolate and waste; and they shall know that I am the LORD: because he hath said, The river is mine, and I have made it.

10. 10

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeהִנְנִיhin/NIbehold Iאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khaagainst youוְאֶל־יְאֹרֶיךָve/EL-ye/o/RE/khaand against your riversוְנָתַתִּיve/na/tat/TIand I will makeאֶת־אֶרֶץet-E/retsthe land ofמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptלְחׇרְבוֹתle/chor/VOTinto ruinsחֹרֶבCHO/revwasteשְׁמָמָהshe/ma/MAdesolateמִמִּגְדֹּלmim/Mig/DOLfrom MigdolסְוֵנֵהSe/ve/NEto Syeneוְעַד־גְּבוּלve/AD-ge/VULand to the border ofכּוּשׁ׃KushCush

    Behold, therefore I am against thee, and against thy rivers, and I will make the land of Egypt utterly waste and desolate, from the tower of Syene even unto the border of Ethiopia.

11. 11

    לֹאlonotתַעֲבׇר־בָּהּta/a/VOR-bashall pass through itרֶגֶלRE/gelthe foot ofאָדָםa/DAMmanוְרֶגֶלve/RE/gelnor the foot ofבְּהֵמָהbe/he/MAbeastלֹאlonotתַעֲבׇר־בָּהּta/a/VOR-bashall pass through itוְלֹאve/LOand notתֵשֵׁבte/SHEVshall it be inhabitedאַרְבָּעִיםar/ba/IMfortyשָׁנָה׃sha/NAyears

    No foot of man shall pass through it, nor foot of beast shall pass through it, neither shall it be inhabited forty years.

12. 12

    וְנָתַתִּיve/na/tat/TIand I will makeאֶת־אֶרֶץet-E/retsthe land ofמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptשְׁמָמָהshe/ma/MAa desolationבְּתוֹךְbe/TOKHin the midst ofאֲרָצוֹתa/ra/TSOTlandsנְשַׁמּוֹתne/sham/MOTthat are desolateוְעָרֶיהָve/a/RE/haand its citiesבְּתוֹךְbe/TOKHin the midst ofעָרִיםa/RIMcitiesמׇחֳרָבוֹתmo/cho/ra/VOTthat are laid wasteתִּהְיֶיןָtih/YE/nashall beשְׁמָמָהshe/ma/MAa desolationאַרְבָּעִיםar/ba/IMfortyשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsוַהֲפִצֹתִיva/ha/fi/tso/TIand I will scatterאֶת־מִצְרַיִםet-Mits/RA/yimEgyptבַּגּוֹיִםbag/go/YIMamong the nationsוְזֵרִיתִיםve/ze/ri/TIMand will disperse themבָּאֲרָצוֹת׃ba/a/ra/TSOTin the lands

    And I will make the land of Egypt desolate in the midst of the countries that are desolate, and her cities among the cities that are laid waste shall be desolate forty years: and I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and will disperse them through the countries.

13. 13

    כִּיkibecauseכֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODמִקֵּץmik/KETSat the end ofאַרְבָּעִיםar/ba/IMfortyשָׁנָהsha/NAyearsאֲקַבֵּץa/kab/BETSI will gatherאֶת־מִצְרַיִםet-Mits/RA/yimEgyptמִן־הָעַמִּיםmin-ha/am/MIMfrom the peoplesאֲשֶׁר־נָפֹצוּa/SHER-na/FO/tsuwhere they were scatteredשָׁמָּה׃SHAM/mathere

    Yet thus saith the Lord GOD; At the end of forty years will I gather the Egyptians from the people whither they were scattered:

14. 14

    וְשַׁבְתִּיve/shav/TIand I will restoreאֶת־שְׁבוּתet-she/VUTthe captivity ofמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptוַהֲשִׁבֹתִיva/ha/shi/vo/TIand will cause to returnאֹתָםo/TAMthemאֶרֶץE/retsinto the land ofפַּתְרוֹסPat/ROSPathrosעַל־אֶרֶץal-E/retsinto the land ofמְכוּרָתָםme/khu/ra/TAMtheir originוְהָיוּve/ha/YUand they shall beשָׁםshamthereמַמְלָכָהmam/la/KHAa kingdomשְׁפָלָה׃she/fa/LAlowly

    And I will bring again the captivity of Egypt, and will cause them to return into the land of Pathros, into the land of their habitation; and they shall be there a base kingdom.

15. 15

    מִן־הַמַּמְלָכוֹתmin-ham/mam/la/KHOTthan the kingdomsתִּהְיֶהtih/YEshall beשְׁפָלָהshe/fa/LAlowlyוְלֹא־תִתְנַשֵּׂאve/LO-tit/nas/SEand shall not exalt itselfעוֹדodagainעַל־הַגּוֹיִםal-hag/go/YIMabove the nationsוְהִמְעַטְתִּיםve/him/at/TIMfor I will diminish themלְבִלְתִּיle/vil/TIthat notרְדוֹתre/DOTthey shall ruleבַּגּוֹיִם׃bag/go/YIMamong the nations

    It shall be the basest of the kingdoms; neither shall it exalt itself any more above the nations: for I will diminish them, that they shall no more rule over the nations.

16. 16

    וְלֹאve/LOand notיִהְיֶה־עוֹדyih/YE-odshall be againלְבֵיתle/VETfor the house ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelלְמִבְטָחle/miv/TACHa confidenceמַזְכִּירmaz/KIRbringing to remembranceעָוֺןa/VONiniquityבִּפְנוֹתָםbif/no/TAMwhen they turnאַחֲרֵיהֶםa/cha/re/HEMafter themוְיָדְעוּve/ya/de/Uand they shall knowכִּיkithatאֲנִיa/NIIאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe Lordיֱהֹוִה׃AdonaiGOD

    And it shall be no more the confidence of the house of Israel, which bringeth their iniquity to remembrance, when they shall look after them: but they shall know that I am the Lord GOD.

17. 17

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passבְּעֶשְׂרִיםbe/es/RIMin the twentyוָשֶׁבַעva/SHE/vaand seventhשָׁנָהsha/NAyearבָּרִאשׁוֹןba/ri/SHONin the firstבְּאֶחָדbe/e/CHADon the firstלַחֹדֶשׁla/CHO/deshof the monthהָיָהha/YAcameדְבַר־יְהֹוָהde/VAR-Adonaithe word of the LORDאֵלַיe/LAYto meלֵאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

    And it came to pass in the seven and twentieth year, in the first month, in the first day of the month, the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

18. 18

    בֶּן־אָדָםben-a/DAMson of manנְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּרNe/vu/khad/re/TSARNebuchadrezzarמֶלֶךְ־בָּבֶלME/lekh-Ba/VELthe king of Babylonהֶעֱבִידhe/e/VIDcaused to serveאֶת־חֵילוֹet-che/LOhis armyעֲבֹדָהa/vo/DAa serviceגְדוֹלָהge/do/LAgreatאֶל־צֹרel-Tsoragainst Tyreכׇּל־רֹאשׁkol-roshevery headמֻקְרָחmuk/RACHwas made baldוְכׇל־כָּתֵףve/KHOL-ka/TEFand every shoulderמְרוּטָהme/ru/TAwas rubbed bareוְשָׂכָרve/sa/KHARyet wagesלֹא־הָיָהlo-ha/YAthere were noneלוֹlofor himוּלְחֵילוֹu/le/che/LOand to his armyמִצֹּרmits/TSORfrom Tyreעַל־הָעֲבֹדָהal-ha/a/vo/DAfor the serviceאֲשֶׁר־עָבַדa/SHER-a/VADthat he servedעָלֶיהָ׃a/LE/haagainst it

    Son of man, Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon caused his army to serve a great service against Tyrus: every head was made bald, and every shoulder was peeled: yet had he no wages, nor his army, for Tyrus, for the service that he had served against it:

19. 19

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeכֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODהִנְנִיhin/NIbehold Iנֹתֵןno/TENwill giveלִנְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּרLin/vu/khad/re/TSARto Nebuchadrezzarמֶלֶךְ־בָּבֶלME/lekh-Ba/VELthe king of Babylonאֶת־אֶרֶץet-E/retsthe land ofמִצְרָיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptוְנָשָׂאve/na/SAand he shall takeהֲמֹנָהּha/mo/NAher multitudeוְשָׁלַלve/sha/LALand takeשְׁלָלָהּshe/la/LAher spoilוּבָזַזu/va/ZAZand seizeבִּזָּהּbiz/ZAher preyוְהָיְתָהve/ha/ye/TAand it shall beשָׂכָרsa/KHARwagesלְחֵילוֹ׃le/che/LOfor his army

    Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will give the land of Egypt unto Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon; and he shall take her multitude, and take her spoil, and take her prey; and it shall be the wages for his army.

    פְּעֻלָּתוֹpe/ul/la/TOas his wages forאֲשֶׁר־עָבַדa/SHER-a/VADwhich he servedבָּהּbaagainst itנָתַתִּיna/TAT/tiI have givenלוֹloto himאֶת־אֶרֶץet-E/retsthe land ofמִצְרָיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptאֲשֶׁרa/SHERbecauseעָשׂוּa/SUthey workedלִיlifor meנְאֻםne/UMsaysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe Lordיֱהֹוִה׃AdonaiGOD

    I have given him the land of Egypt for his labour wherewith he served against it, because they wrought for me, saith the Lord GOD.

21. 21

    בַּיּוֹםbay/YOMin the dayהַהוּאha/HUthatאַצְמִיחַats/MI/achI will cause to sproutקֶרֶןKE/rena hornלְבֵיתle/VETfor the house ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelוּלְךָu/le/KHAand to youאֶתֵּןet/TENI will giveפִּתְחוֹן־פֶּהpit/CHON-pean opening of the mouthבְּתוֹכָםbe/to/KHAMamong themוְיָדְעוּve/ya/de/Uand they shall knowכִּי־אֲנִיki-a/NIthat I amיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    In that day will I cause the horn of the house of Israel to bud forth, and I will give thee the opening of the mouth in the midst of them; and they shall know that I am the LORD.
