   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלַיe/LAYto meבֶּן־אָדָםben-a/DAMson of manאֵת־אֲשֶׁר־תִּמְצָאet-a/SHER-tim/TSAwhat you findאֱכוֹלe/KHOLeatאֱכוֹלe/KHOLeatאֶת־הַמְּגִלָּהet-ham/me/gil/LAthe scrollהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisוְלֵךְve/LEKHand goדַּבֵּרdab/BERspeakאֶל־בֵּיתel-betto the house ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

   Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, eat that thou findest; eat this roll, and go speak unto the house of Israel.

   וָאֶפְתַּחva/ef/TACHand I openedאֶת־פִּיet-pimy mouthוַיַּאֲכִילֵנִיvay/ya/a/khi/LE/niand he made me eatאֵת־הַמְּגִלָּהet-ham/me/gil/LAthe scrollהַזֹּאת׃haz/ZOTthis

   So I opened my mouth, and he caused me to eat that roll.

3. 3

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלַיe/LAYto meבֶּן־אָדָםben-a/DAMson of manבִּטְנְךָbit/ne/KHAyour bellyתַאֲכֵלta/a/KHELmake eatוּמֵעֶיךָu/me/E/khaand your inward partsתְמַלֵּאte/mal/LEfillאֵת־הַמְּגִלָּהet-ham/me/gil/LAthe scrollהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichאֲנִיa/NIIנֹתֵןno/TENam givingאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khato youוָאֹכְלָהva/okh/LAand I ate itוַתְּהִיvat/te/HIand it wasבְּפִיbe/FIin my mouthכִּדְבַשׁkid/VASHlike honeyלְמָתוֹק׃le/ma/TOKfor sweetness

   And he said unto me, Son of man, cause thy belly to eat, and fill thy bowels with this roll that I give thee. Then did I eat it; and it was in my mouth as honey for sweetness.

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלָיe/LAYto meבֶּן־אָדָםben-a/DAMson of manלֶךְ־בֹּאlekh-bogo comeאֶל־בֵּיתel-betto the house ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelוְדִבַּרְתָּve/dib/bar/TAand speakבִדְבָרַיvid/va/RAYwith my wordsאֲלֵיהֶם׃a/le/HEMto them

   And he said unto me, Son of man, go, get thee unto the house of Israel, and speak with my words unto them.

   כִּיkiforלֹאlonotאֶל־עַםel-amto a peopleעִמְקֵיim/KEdeep ofשָׂפָהsa/FAspeechוְכִבְדֵיve/khiv/DEand heavy ofלָשׁוֹןla/SHONtongueאַתָּהat/TAyouשָׁלוּחַsha/LU/achare sentאֶל־בֵּיתel-betto the house ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

   For thou art not sent to a people of a strange speech and of an hard language, but to the house of Israel;

   לֹאlonotאֶל־עַמִּיםel-am/MIMto peoplesרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyעִמְקֵיim/KEdeep ofשָׂפָהsa/FAspeechוְכִבְדֵיve/khiv/DEand heavy ofלָשׁוֹןla/SHONtongueאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoseלֹא־תִשְׁמַעlo-tish/MAyou cannot understandדִּבְרֵיהֶםdiv/re/HEMtheir wordsאִם־לֹאim-losurelyאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themשְׁלַחְתִּיךָshe/lach/TI/khahad I sent youהֵמָּהHEM/matheyיִשְׁמְעוּyish/me/Uwould listenאֵלֶיךָ׃e/LE/khato you

   Not to many people of a strange speech and of an hard language, whose words thou canst not understand. Surely, had I sent thee to them, they would have hearkened unto thee.

7. 7

   וּבֵיתu/VETbut the house ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelלֹאlonotיֹאבוּyo/VUwill be willingלִשְׁמֹעַlish/MO/ato listenאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khato youכִּי־אֵינָםki-e/NAMfor they are notאֹבִיםo/VIMwillingלִשְׁמֹעַlish/MO/ato listenאֵלָיe/LAYto meכִּיkiforכׇּל־בֵּיתkol-betall the house ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelחִזְקֵי־מֵצַחchiz/KE-ME/tsachhard of foreheadוּקְשֵׁי־לֵבu/ke/SHE-levand hard of heartהֵמָּה׃HEM/maare

   But the house of Israel will not hearken unto thee; for they will not hearken unto me: for all the house of Israel are impudent and hardhearted.

   הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdנָתַתִּיna/TAT/tiI have madeאֶת־פָּנֶיךָet-pa/NE/khayour faceחֲזָקִיםcha/za/KIMhardלְעֻמַּתle/um/MATagainstפְּנֵיהֶםpe/ne/HEMtheir facesוְאֶת־מִצְחֲךָve/ET-mits/cha/KHAand your foreheadחָזָקcha/ZAKhardלְעֻמַּתle/um/MATagainstמִצְחָם׃mits/CHAMtheir forehead

   Behold, I have made thy face strong against their faces, and thy forehead strong against their foreheads.

   כְּשָׁמִירke/sha/MIRlike adamantחָזָקcha/ZAKharderמִצֹּרmits/TSORthan flintנָתַתִּיna/TAT/tiI have madeמִצְחֶךָmits/CHE/khayour foreheadלֹא־תִירָאlo-ti/RAdo not fearאוֹתָםo/TAMthemוְלֹא־תֵחַתve/LO-te/CHATand do not be dismayedמִפְּנֵיהֶםmip/pe/ne/HEMfrom before themכִּיkibecauseבֵּיתbetthe house ofמְרִיme/RIrebellionהֵמָּה׃HEM/mathey

   As an adamant harder than flint have I made thy forehead: fear them not, neither be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלָיe/LAYto meבֶּן־אָדָםben-a/DAMson of manאֶת־כׇּל־דְּבָרַיet-kol-de/va/RAYall my wordsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichאֲדַבֵּרa/dab/BERI speakאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khato youקַחkachtakeבִּלְבָבְךָbil/va/ve/KHAin your heartוּבְאׇזְנֶיךָu/ve/oz/NE/khaand with your earsשְּׁמָע׃she/MAhear

    Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, all my words that I shall speak unto thee receive in thine heart, and hear with thine ears.

11. 11

    וְלֵךְve/LEKHand goבֹּאbocomeאֶל־הַגּוֹלָהel-hag/go/LAto the exilesאֶל־בְּנֵיel-be/NEto the sons ofעַמֶּךָam/ME/khayour peopleוְדִבַּרְתָּve/dib/bar/TAand speakאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themוְאָמַרְתָּve/a/mar/TAand sayאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themכֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODאִם־יִשְׁמְעוּim-yish/me/Uif they listenוְאִם־יֶחְדָּלוּ׃ve/IM-yech/DA/luor if they refuse

    And go, get thee to them of the captivity, unto the children of thy people, and speak unto them, and tell them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear.

    וַתִּשָּׂאֵנִיvat/tis/sa/E/nithen lifted me upרוּחַRU/achthe spiritוָאֶשְׁמַעva/esh/MAand I heardאַחֲרַיa/cha/RAYafter meקוֹלkola sound ofרַעַשׁRA/ashrumblingגָּדוֹלga/DOLgreatבָּרוּךְba/RUKHblessedכְּבוֹד־יְהֹוָהke/VOD-Adonaithe glory of the LORDמִמְּקוֹמוֹ׃mim/me/ko/MOfrom its place

    Then the spirit took me up, and I heard behind me a voice of a great rushing, saying, Blessed be the glory of the LORD from his place.

13. 13

    וְקוֹלve/KOLand the sound ofכַּנְפֵיkan/FEwings ofהַחַיּוֹתha/chay/YOTthe living creaturesמַשִּׁיקוֹתmash/shi/KOTtouchingאִשָּׁהish/SHAoneאֶל־אֲחוֹתָהּel-a/cho/TAto anotherוְקוֹלve/KOLand the sound ofהָאוֹפַנִּיםha/o/fan/NIMthe wheelsלְעֻמָּתָםle/um/ma/TAMbeside themוְקוֹלve/KOLand the sound ofרַעַשׁRA/ashrumblingגָּדוֹל׃ga/DOLgreat

    I heard also the noise of the wings of the living creatures that touched one another, and the noise of the wheels over against them, and a noise of a great rushing.

14. 14

    וְרוּחַve/RU/achand the spiritנְשָׂאַתְנִיne/sa/AT/nilifted me upוַתִּקָּחֵנִיvat/tik/ka/CHE/niand took meוָאֵלֵךְva/e/LEKHand I wentמַרmarbitterבַּחֲמַתba/cha/MATin the heat ofרוּחִיru/CHImy spiritוְיַד־יְהֹוָהve/YAD-Adonaiand the hand of the LORDעָלַיa/LAYon meחָזָקָה׃cha/ZA/kawas strong

    So the spirit lifted me up, and took me away, and I went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit; but the hand of the LORD was strong upon me.

15. 15

    וָאָבוֹאva/a/VOand I cameאֶל־הַגּוֹלָהel-hag/go/LAto the exilesתֵּלTelTel-אָבִיבa/VIVabibהַיֹּשְׁבִיםhay/yosh/VIMthat dweltאֶל־נְהַר־כְּבָרel-Ne/HAR-ke/VARby the river Chebar(ואשר)vshar[וָאֵשֵׁב]va/e/SHEVand I satהֵמָּהHEM/matheyיוֹשְׁבִיםyosh/VIMsatשָׁםshamthereוָאֵשֵׁבva/e/SHEVand I satשָׁםshamthereשִׁבְעַתshiv/ATsevenיָמִיםya/MIMdaysמַשְׁמִיםmash/MIMappalledבְּתוֹכָם׃be/to/KHAMamong them

    Then I came to them of the captivity at Tel-abib, that dwelt by the river of Chebar, and I sat where they sat, and remained there astonished among them seven days.

16. 16

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passמִקְצֵהmik/TSEfrom the end ofשִׁבְעַתshiv/ATsevenיָמִיםya/MIMdaysוַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passדְבַר־יְהֹוָהde/VAR-Adonaithe word of the LORDאֵלַיe/LAYto meלֵאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

    And it came to pass at the end of seven days, that the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

17. 17

    בֶּן־אָדָםben-a/DAMson of manצֹפֶהtso/FEa watchmanנְתַתִּיךָne/tat/TI/khaI have made youלְבֵיתle/VETto the house ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelוְשָׁמַעְתָּve/sha/ma/TAand you shall hearמִפִּיmip/PIfrom my mouthדָּבָרda/VARa wordוְהִזְהַרְתָּve/hiz/har/TAand warnאוֹתָםo/TAMthemמִמֶּנִּי׃mim/MEN/nifrom me

    Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.

18. 18

    בְּאׇמְרִיbe/om/RIwhen I sayלָרָשָׁעla/ra/SHAto the wickedמוֹתmotdieתָּמוּתta/MUTyou shall dieוְלֹאve/LOand notהִזְהַרְתּוֹhiz/har/TOyou warn himוְלֹאve/LOand notדִבַּרְתָּdib/BAR/taspeakלְהַזְהִירle/haz/HIRto warnרָשָׁעra/SHAthe wickedמִדַּרְכּוֹmid/dar/KOfrom his wayהָרְשָׁעָהha/re/sha/Awickedלְחַיֹּתוֹle/chay/yo/TOto save his lifeהוּאhuheרָשָׁעra/SHAwickedבַּעֲוֺנוֹba/a/vo/NOin his iniquityיָמוּתya/MUThe shall dieוְדָמוֹve/da/MOand his bloodמִיָּדְךָmiy/ya/de/KHAfrom your handאֲבַקֵּשׁ׃a/vak/KESHI will require

    When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

19. 19

    וְאַתָּהve/at/TAand youכִּי־הִזְהַרְתָּki-hiz/HAR/taif you warnרָשָׁעra/SHAthe wickedוְלֹא־שָׁבve/LO-shavand he does not turnמֵרִשְׁעוֹme/rish/Ofrom his wickednessוּמִדַּרְכּוֹu/mid/dar/KOand from his wayהָרְשָׁעָהha/re/sha/Awickedהוּאhuheבַּעֲוֺנוֹba/a/vo/NOin his iniquityיָמוּתya/MUThe shall dieוְאַתָּהve/at/TAand youאֶת־נַפְשְׁךָet-naf/she/KHAyour soulהִצַּלְתָּ׃hits/TSAL/tayou have delivered

    Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.

20. 20

    וּבְשׁוּבu/ve/SHUVand when turnsצַדִּיקtsad/DIKa righteous manמִצִּדְקוֹmits/tsid/KOfrom his righteousnessוְעָשָׂהve/a/SAand doesעָוֶלA/veliniquityוְנָתַתִּיve/na/tat/TIand I will giveמִכְשׁוֹלmikh/SHOLa stumbling blockלְפָנָיוle/fa/NAYVbefore himהוּאhuheיָמוּתya/MUThe shall dieכִּיkibecauseלֹאlonotהִזְהַרְתּוֹhiz/har/TOyou have warned himבְּחַטָּאתוֹbe/chat/ta/TOfor his sinיָמוּתya/MUThe shall dieוְלֹאve/LOand notתִזָּכַרְןָtiz/za/KHAR/nashall be rememberedצִדְקֹתָוtsid/ko/TAVhis righteous deedsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichעָשָׂהa/SAhe didוְדָמוֹve/da/MOand his bloodמִיָּדְךָmiy/ya/de/KHAfrom your handאֲבַקֵּשׁ׃a/vak/KESHI will require

    Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

21. 21

    וְאַתָּהve/at/TAand youכִּיkiifהִזְהַרְתּוֹhiz/har/TOyou warn himצַדִּיקtsad/DIKthe righteousלְבִלְתִּיle/vil/TInotחֲטֹאcha/TOto sinצַדִּיקtsad/DIKthe righteousוְהוּאve/HUand heלֹא־חָטָאlo-cha/TAdoes not sinחָיוֹcha/YOliveיִחְיֶהyich/YEhe shall liveכִּיkibecauseנִזְהָרniz/HARhe took warningוְאַתָּהve/at/TAand youאֶת־נַפְשְׁךָet-naf/she/KHAyour soulהִצַּלְתָּ׃hits/TSAL/tayou have delivered

    Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul.

22. 22

    וַתְּהִיvat/te/HIand wasעָלַיa/LAYon meשָׁםshamthereיַד־יְהֹוָהyad-Adonaithe hand of the LORDוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלַיe/LAYto meקוּםkumariseצֵאtsego forthאֶל־הַבִּקְעָהel-hab/bik/Ato the plainוְשָׁםve/SHAMand thereאֲדַבֵּרa/dab/BERI will speakאוֹתָךְ׃o/TAKHwith you

    And the hand of the LORD was there upon me; and he said unto me, Arise, go forth into the plain, and I will there talk with thee.

23. 23

    וָאָקוּםva/a/KUMand I aroseוָאֵצֵאva/e/TSEand went outאֶל־הַבִּקְעָהel-hab/bik/Ato the plainוְהִנֵּה־שָׁםve/hin/NE-shamand behold thereכְּבוֹד־יְהֹוָהke/VOD-Adonaithe glory of the LORDעֹמֵדo/MEDstoodכַּכָּבוֹדkak/ka/VODlike the gloryאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichרָאִיתִיra/I/tiI sawעַל־נְהַר־כְּבָרal-Ne/HAR-ke/VARby the river Chebarוָאֶפֹּלva/ep/POLand I fellעַל־פָּנָי׃al-pa/NAYon my face

    Then I arose, and went forth into the plain: and, behold, the glory of the LORD stood there, as the glory which I saw by the river of Chebar: and I fell on my face.

24. 24

    וַתָּבֹא־בִיvat/ta/VO-viand entered into meרוּחַRU/achthe spirit ofוַתַּעֲמִדֵנִיvat/ta/a/mi/DE/niand set meעַל־רַגְלָיal-rag/LAYon my feetוַיְדַבֵּרvay/dab/BERand he spokeאֹתִיo/TIwith meוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלַיe/LAYto meבֹּאbogoהִסָּגֵרhis/sa/GERshut yourself upבְּתוֹךְbe/TOKHinsideבֵּיתֶךָ׃be/TE/khayour house

    Then the spirit entered into me, and set me upon my feet, and spake with me, and said unto me, Go, shut thyself within thine house.

25. 25

    וְאַתָּהve/at/TAand youבֶן־אָדָםven-a/DAMson of manהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdנָתְנוּna/te/NUthey shall putעָלֶיךָa/LE/khaon youעֲבוֹתִיםa/vo/TIMropesוַאֲסָרוּךָva/a/sa/RU/khaand shall bind youבָּהֶםba/HEMwith themוְלֹאve/LOand notתֵצֵאte/TSEyou shall go outבְּתוֹכָם׃be/to/KHAMamong them

    But thou, O son of man, behold, they shall put bands upon thee, and shall bind thee with them, and thou shalt not go out among them:

26. 26

    וּלְשׁוֹנְךָu/le/shon/KHAand your tongueאַדְבִּיקad/BIKI will make stickאֶל־חִכֶּךָel-chik/KE/khato your palateוְנֶאֱלַמְתָּve/ne/e/LAM/taand you shall be muteוְלֹא־תִהְיֶהve/LO-tih/YEand you shall not beלָהֶםla/HEMto themלְאִישׁle/ISHa manמוֹכִיחַmo/KHI/achwho reprovesכִּיkiforבֵּיתbetthe house ofמְרִיme/RIrebellionהֵמָּה׃HEM/mathey

    And I will make thy tongue cleave to the roof of thy mouth, that thou shalt be dumb, and shalt not be to them a reprover: for they are a rebellious house.

27. 27

    וּבְדַבְּרִיu/ve/dab/be/RIand when I speakאוֹתְךָot/KHAwith youאֶפְתַּחef/TACHI will openאֶת־פִּיךָet-PI/khayour mouthוְאָמַרְתָּve/a/mar/TAand sayאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themכֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysאֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYthe LordיֱהֹוִהAdonaiGODהַשֹּׁמֵעַhash/sho/ME/ahe who hearsיִשְׁמָעyish/MAlet him hearוְהֶחָדֵלve/he/cha/DELand he who refusesיֶחְדָּלyech/DALlet him refuseכִּיkiforבֵּיתbetthe house ofמְרִיme/RIrebellionהֵמָּה׃HEM/mathey

    But when I speak with thee, I will open thy mouth, and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; He that heareth, let him hear; and he that forbeareth, let him forbear: for they are a rebellious house.
