Ezekiel 2 יְחֶזְקֵאל פרק ב׳

1. 1

   וַיֹּאמֶרand saidאֵלָיunto meבֶּן־אָדָםson of manעֲמֹדstandעַל־רַגְלֶיךָupon your feetוַאֲדַבֵּרand I speakאֹתָךְ׃you

   And he said unto me, Son of man, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak unto thee.

2. 2

   וַתָּבֹאand cameבִיinto meרוּחַa spiritכַּאֲשֶׁרasדִּבֶּרspokeאֵלַיto meוַתַּעֲמִדֵנִיand it made stand up meעַל־רַגְלָיupon my feetוָאֶשְׁמַעand I heardאֵת־מִדַּבֵּרhim that spokeאֵלָי׃unto me

   And the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake unto me.

   וַיֹּאמֶרand saidאֵלַיto meבֶּן־אָדָםson of manשׁוֹלֵחַsendingאֲנִיIאוֹתְךָyouאֶל־בְּנֵיunto the sons ofיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelאֶל־גּוֹיִםto nationsהַמּוֹרְדִיםthe rebelliousאֲשֶׁרwhichמָרְדוּ־בִיhave rebelled against meהֵמָּהtheyוַאֲבוֹתָםand their ancestorsפָּשְׁעוּthey transgressedבִיagainst Meעַד־עֶצֶםuntil the veryהַיּוֹםthe dayהַזֶּה׃this

   And he said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that hath rebelled against me: they and their fathers have transgressed against me, even unto this very day.

4. 4

   וְהַבָּנִיםand the sonsקְשֵׁיhard ofפָנִיםfaceוְחִזְקֵי־לֵבand hard of heartאֲנִיIשׁוֹלֵחַsendingאוֹתְךָyouאֲלֵיהֶםto themוְאָמַרְתָּand sayאֲלֵיהֶםto themכֹּהthusאָמַרsaidאֲדֹנָיLordיֱהֹוִה׃GOD

   For they are impudent children and stiffhearted. I do send thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD.

5. 5

   וְהֵמָּהand theyאִם־יִשְׁמְעוּif they hearkenוְאִם־יֶחְדָּלוּand if they will refuseכִּיbecauseבֵּיתthe house ofמְרִיrebellionהֵמָּהtheyוְיָדְעוּand they shall knowכִּיbecauseנָבִיאa prophetהָיָהwasבְתוֹכָם׃among them

   And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them.

   וְאַתָּהand youבֶן־אָדָםson of manאַל־תִּירָאbe not afraidמֵהֶםof themוּמִדִּבְרֵיהֶםand from their wordsאַל־תִּירָאbe not afraidכִּיbecauseסָרָבִיםbriersוְסַלּוֹנִיםand thornsאוֹתָךְyouוְאֶל־עַקְרַבִּיםand scorpionsאַתָּהyouיוֹשֵׁבsittingמִדִּבְרֵיהֶםfrom their wordsאַל־תִּירָאbe not afraidוּמִפְּנֵיהֶםand from their facesאַל־תֵּחָתdo not you be dismayedכִּיbecauseבֵּיתthe house ofמְרִיrebellionהֵמָּה׃they

   And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.

   וְדִבַּרְתָּand you will speakאֶת־דְּבָרַיmy wordsאֲלֵיהֶםto themאִם־יִשְׁמְעוּif they hearkenוְאִם־יֶחְדָּלוּand if they will refuseכִּיforמְרִיrebellionהֵמָּה׃they

   And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are most rebellious.

8. 8

   וְאַתָּהand youבֶן־אָדָםson of manשְׁמַעhearkenאֵת־אֲשֶׁר־אֲנִיwhat Iמְדַבֵּרspeakingאֵלֶיךָto youאַל־תְּהִי־מֶרִיdo not let it be rebellionכְּבֵיתlike the household ofהַמֶּרִיthe rebellionפְּצֵהopenפִיךָyour mouthוֶאֱכֹלand eatאֵת־אֲשֶׁר־אֲנִיwhat Iנֹתֵןgivingאֵלֶיךָ׃to you

   But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; Be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that I give thee.

9. 9

   וָאֶרְאֶהand I sawוְהִנֵּה־יָדand behold a handשְׁלוּחָהwhich has been sentאֵלָיunto meוְהִנֵּה־בוֹand behold in itמְגִלַּת־סֵפֶר׃a scroll of a book

   And when I looked, behold, an hand was sent unto me; and, lo, a roll of a book was therein;

10. 10

    וַיִּפְרֹשׂand he spread outאוֹתָהּitלְפָנַיbefore meוְהִיאand itכְתוּבָהwrittenפָּנִיםfrontוְאָחוֹרand backוְכָתוּבand writtenאֵלֶיהָin itקִנִיםlamentationsוָהֶגֶהand moaningוָהִי׃and wailing

    And he spread it before me; and it was written within and without: and there was written therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe.
